New helluva short just dropped and I have to say it was absolutely hilarious. Suprisingly its probably one of the most positive experiences i have recently had with helluva boss. Short, simple, and funny. The second season is full of plot and romance drama, and while i dont particulary mind this content i wish the show had more going for it. Like disscussion about hierarchy in hell or IMP having law troubles cause of illegal use of grimouir, or just the assasination bussines. So i am glad for these shorts because they are exactly what the show premise was about. Sheanigans while doing the job. And this one was perfect for me. First i love Blitz, so i am always glad to see him. He is so goofy here. I like how he is animated as well, cute sneaky little lizard. His short song about kills, him being absolutely done with the target, and the "stab, stab, stab" part. Its such an absurd, i love it. Its similiar to how he was at the beginnig when he was portrayed as a clown. And i love all his trauma, but i feel like his personality recently got less vibrant, so its good to see it again. Also his talk with Milly is just such a nice detail? It makes me think he sometimes goes with Mox to see musicals despite being really uninterested in them, and being there just because he tries to be a good friend? Like thats so sweet. And portrays character development. And Millie being kind of done with musicals too is also really funny. Its like her and Blitz are bonding. Least but not last we have the monster fucker. I think its safe to say it was inspired by real fandom. The fanfics one can find... they can get absolutely insane. Obviously the character is a parody and not a literal representation but i think it managed the vibe really well. It made me laugh a lot.
So yea, really liked the short. It pains me to say it but i think it may be my favourite part of the whole 2nd season...

Every day I understand more why some people have trouble with watching Helluva.
A lot of details and characterizations are not explicitly shown, but are shown indirectly and you need to rewatch and dig deeper for yourself and catch those details.
I won’t enter into the debate of wether that is good or bad storytelling. Is just a way to do it, for some people work, for some don’t. That’s it.
One recent example: some people was puzzled why Blitzø saw a family with Stolas and Octavia, and they think is Out of character he wants that.
However, with small details they have shown that was Blitz’s driving force since the beginning. But even himself didn’t realized until now that he has opened his heart.
Examples:
If he was trully a cold blooded asshole he wouldn’t have adopted Loona. Never never… he would have adopted a more aggressive and deathly hellhound if he really only was there for the business. Immediately seeing her as his daughter for no reason.
Like, all his façade is just bullshit just bc of that… but I will tell you something else.
When we see his backstory at the circus we see how his life was. A family circus… a family business… having an office for a circus=having his family in better work conditions. He recreated this in his adult life.
Adopting people on the way because he connected with them. Of course, he brought Millie to the team because how amazingly good she is. But don’t you think he also felt a connection with her too? An special one? This is shown while they are fighting. He enjoys fighting with her. Wrath imps culture circules around fights. This is a way they bond. He wanted her there because he felt a connection.
With Moxxie was the same. The exact same thing. He is just there adopting people he feels this connection with to recreate the circus.
Now, the next step for that would be expand that family with his current SO and his daughter; because his wish hasn’t just been having the circus family kind again, he have always wanted a romantic partner too. He has been months regretting having lost Stolas. Months to think about what could have been, about how he is the person he loves and probably could have formed a family with if having the chance.
People are just not willing to think if they are not clearly shown something. Also, is an indie cartoon so they don’t have much time to show things and they need to progress the story.
But essentially the problem people have with HB is that one.
They have a problem with Millie because she is not directly shown having things outside the main cast because she isn’t usually focused. Her backstory episode was also an important Blitzø episode, so they think is as simple as saying: all her development revolves around men. As if Blitz’s development didn’t revolved around the people he cares.
They don’t think is important to her character that she is the one keeping them together in hard times. They don’t think this relates to how sometimes she doesn’t feel seen. She is the best in assassin but still… she doesn’t feel seen.
She was a regular assassins when she met Blitzø. She wasn’t one considered special or anything. Blitzø was the one who saw that potential and saw HER!
This is why he is her bestie.

I really REALLY love hazbin hotel, truly! But i have many criticism, and i havent watched them yet.
No hate, but the concept of heaven and hell in this uh, universe is a bit... flawed, in a sense. I do enjoy the character design, and oh God does Helluva Boss scratch that itch in my mind- idk, it brings me happiness.
Im not even gonna touch on how some of it doesnt make sense in a religious perspective, this rant is solely on hell
Warning, i havent seen the show. But have seen the pilot and fanfics and headcannons lmao, feel free to correct me if im wrong!
Idk if this is true, but I heard that Angel Dust was a mafia before he died? And idk if he feels bad for all the poor souls he fluffed up, bcs i havent read or seen anything adressing it.
Truly, truly I love Angel Dust, like honey, I will str**gle Val for you, but do you actually want to repent 😭😭😭
And, if, IF he does go to heaven- will the residents even welcomed him? If redemption exist, then heaven needs to be on board with this. Not just the people in charge, but the citizens as well. If you just, thrust a sinner thats been 'redeemed' into heaven, and heaven didnt take notice until the redeemed appears at their doostep- how would the angels react?
Will that redeemed survive? Hell no. Well, depends. Whats their rules up in heaven? I hope season 2 showcase heaven's reactions, and maybe Emily will be fed up and join the demons down bellow??? That would be cool!!!
Ehm,back to the disscussion.
Keep in mind that I havent seen the show, but I have A LOT of qustions about redemption- bcs its so much complicated if you think about it, plus, redemptiom in hell??? Boy we gotta set up some rules.
First, what is redemption actually???
Redemption is-
an act of atoning for guilt, a fault, or a mistake, or the state of having atoned. an act or the state of being rescued.
According to this
Im just going to use this meaning, bcs theres different meanings and i want to save the headache.
Basing off of this, you could argue that someone is redeemed by being rescued- which is uhm, unsual if your rescuer is the daughter of Lucifer, the next queen of hell. Hello?? I mean, in some swap aus, Adam being the one to 'rescue' the sinners make sense bcs he was a human too, like those sinners, he must've know(I assumed) the pain sinners go through. And, if we make the plot like 'oh heaven can make mistakes' then actually find a sinner thaat has little to no criminal background and is very 'angelike' and is someone who wants to change for the better, AND ACTUALLY GIVE THAT CHARACTER A MONOLOGUE ABOUT THEIR PAST AND THEM ACTUALLY WANTING TO FIX THEIR MISTAKES-
And question, if someone wants to be redeemed, and they are in hell, do whatever crimes and sins they did in hell will be hold accountable???
As I said, if you want to make redemption make sense, it has many complex layers...
Okay okay, im being sidetracked-
Charlie, the daughter of Lucifer being a 'rescuer' doesnt really make sense in Hazbin Hotel, UNLESS, she once had a sinner friend who goes through so much in the real world, but end up getting fluffed and end up in hell, where they met Charlie and still go so much, but was killed(either by angels or other demons). AFTER THAT, then the idea that Charlie, a hellborn who never felt what humans/sinners felt make sense to want to make sinners repent so that they dont feel what her sinner friend feel.
THAT, would be an amazing concept to explore. A hellborn whose sheltered all her life, met a sinner who goes through the toughness of life, then they bond over... anything, something, and learned about eachother. The sinner has hope that there is a better future, while the hellborn realizes theres more than meets the eye and that they're perception of reality has been scewed.
If Charlie advocats for hellborn's rights, then it still make sense bcs she IS an hellborn, and knows a bit of what her people suffered. Hell, Vaggie being her right hand man would only make it make sense, since Vaggie was a former angel, then she can give Charlie insights of heaven.
Thats all for my rent, bcs am very tired rn and i have so much to do and eheosjksskdnsk
See yall next time, bye~☆

Ik this was posted in February but i just saw this and i rlly wanna give my imput as a pro-viv person:
writing can be incredibly sloppy at times, especially with hazbin (tho i do understand since they only have 8 episodes to work with)
i wish there was a bit more diversity with the hazbin cast in terms of character design (i love the helluva boss character designs), like i wish alastor was darker skinned and had more deer features, and the entire cast not be the same shade of red.
i REALLY dont like how viv handles criticism on twitter. while i do understand sometimes why she reacts the way she does, she can come off as really arrogant and rude (especially with the storyboarder drama she handled that really badly).
Anti/Critical Vivziepop challenge: Give one compliment towards Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, or the creator herself.
Pro-Vivziepop challenge: Say one negative thing towards Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, or the creator herself.
As a pro, I'll start us off with 3 criticisms:
While I know animation is expensive, season one threw information at us far too fast.
Vivziepop needs to work on how she handles criticism and drama.
Sir Pentious deserved more to his storyline.
See? If I can do it, so can you. This post is made to be respectful, so please do not start arguing and spreading misinformation. At the end of the day, many people have worked very hard on Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss, and it's not fair to surround their art in controversy.
Edit: I'm so proud of you guys. I know it's hard to break the habit of facing strong opinions. But you were able to overcome it, and instead of bashing at it or mindlessly defending it, you were able to look past it all. This is what the fandom should be about; respecting others' opinions and accepting the fact that something isn't strictly terrible or flawlessly wonderful. /pos /gen

Does Vivzipop know what she's doing ???
I know I said I wasn't gonna watch anymore helluva boss but I saw some cute things floating around wit Asmodeus and Fizzorallie and I caved and watched it and I have to ask does Viv remember that imps are supposed to the mistreated ones ???
This video here explains the hierarchy of hell {I couldn't find the livestream that told us but I found this} https://youtu.be/WuGQ1_986r4
And it tells us that Imps are at the bottom of the barrel and so far we have yet to even see that.
Blitz has a successful company he's getting a shit ton of clients we've seen it happen in episode three we seen a lot of sinners lining up to hire them not to mention the building his company is located in is in the pride ring and that he's able to rent out a space where a company that was able to hire versoika mayday, in episode 4 someone died and came right to them meaning I.M.P is well known fuck even episode 2 shows that imps can afford to go to a cheap yet overpriced amusement park one that a demon prince and his family went to and while Milly stated that her parents went when they could afford it
{understanding since my mom would take me and my siblings out whenever she could afford it}
We are still shown they can go not to mention the workers there aren't mistreated like at all
Episode 7 shows us that Moxxie was able to get reservations and preform at a luxurious place and when Millie hurt Fizzorallie Asmodeus was more worried about Fizz than reprimanding her.
I don't know about y'all but every show I've seen {whether it was a cartoon or series} the royal would always reprimand the lower being for disrespecting them but she wasnt and Moxxie was able to preform his song {still hate Moxxie for that but that's a discussion for another day}
The closest the closest we seen imps being mistreated was episode five and to an extent Stolas and Blitz relationship.
Episode five showed us Stolas insulting them and them being angry
This is there faces when he insulted them again this is the closest we get to seeing the imps being mistreated.
Stolas and Blitz relationship could also be seen as mistreatment wit the way Stolas acts wit Blitz not to mention since technically he could hurt Blitz for stealing from him.
And even than it makes me wonder how Blitz was even able to seduced him and get him in bed know where that book is and steal it and the fact Stella or any of the others that were at her tea party didn't do anything kinda makes me wonder how he got out alive ...
Now while the piolet may have shown us that business was slow and how they were struggling a little it got toss aside the next episode when they were hired to kill people.
Again I'm beginning to wonder if Viv and her team know what she's doing or if she's taking so many elements that she thinks people love and dumping them all on this first season like I genuinely think she forgot her own system and how it works
Forgot to mention that in episode two Stella is shown to throw her imp around and while I will say that's a good example I would also have to dismiss it because in episode five we see her trusting an imp wit a dangerous job on killing a prince so yeah anyways let me know what y'all think and tell me your own thoughts also try not to be dicks k k

The Full Moon ep is finally here! Warning, this post has a ton of spoilers.
I think it may be the best episode of the second season. Though i feel like its still nowhere near as good as ep 6 and 7 of the first one. I like the starting song, the contrast is good and the emotions of characters are clear. Its also a nice set up.
I especially love how everyone interacts with each other in this episode. Moxxie and Blitz seem like friends and their talk about sex is hilarious cause of Moxxies attitude. "Fuck him good, sir " was a brilliant line only because he was the one to say it. He seems too proper for this, maybe too shy. Blitzos good mood and his cackle after teasing Mox was also good to hear. Maybe cause he wasnt offensive this time. Anyway it just brought a lot of joy since its quite some time since they had a moment like this.
Then we have Blitz and his shopping trip. I liked when he went to buy candles. I think it has really shown that for Blitz sex isnt and probably never was about intimacy. He understands mood just as "horny" and honestly its very fitting. Though its not shocking i heve never thought about it . We know he is afraid of intimacy, but i thought about it strictly as an emotional closeness. I didnt think that sex could be so... one-dimensional for him in general.
Next we have cherubs. Tbh i didnt like this part mostly cause i dont think like it changed anything. If they were killed, well that would be awesome especially since i see no reason why it didnt happen already. They had been beaten and yet the I.M.P. has just send them back. Makes no sense, they are assasins and the cherubs are their enemies. Unless cherubs cant be killed without blessed weapons then well its somewhat fine. But still nothing they did was interesting or suprising. It feels like they were there to fill half of the time so the ep wouldnt be too short. Unless its more of a set up. But if so it still was somewhat weak. Maybe as i was so interested in Stolitz i just didnt have enough patience to care about cherubs. The fight was fun though, as was their reaction to Blitzos shopping. I am glad the I.M.P. got a chance to shine too. Especially Moxxie and his bitch line.
So now one last thing left. The ending. Obviously the best part. I loved how confused was Blitz and honestly i think his anger was understandable. After all he had no idea how Stolas felt and how he planned to end their arrangment. Blitz was both vulnerable and safe thanks to their deal, he was in a position of a "plaything" but also didnt have to be emotionally invested. He clearly hates himself, is insecure and generally cant imagine someone truly wanting him. So its not suprising that he reacted the way he did. In a way Stolas once again was the one to decide everything. He started the deal and then ended it. Without talking with Blitz. And to be clear, i dont think its fair to really blame Stolas. He tried his best. But well, they both lack the understanding. Stolas isnt aware that Blitz didnt believe in his love because of his own self-hatred. He now believes that Blitz simply hates Stolas. And Blitz really didnt have time to comprehend anything that happened so he acted harshly and in the end didnt even get the chance to apologise. I would like to also say sth about music in this scene. The fact that it was very emotional right from the beginnig even when Blitz was still in horny mood, it just selled it. It felt like real life when sth is wrong, but u notice it a little too late and then u just kind of crumble, get down from your high way too quickly and get a whiplash. It made it painfull to watch. I didnt cry though i heard many people did.
Anyway i am rather excited to see what will happen next and i really hope the episodes will hold some standard. Cause boy, the second season failed me a little to often.
Thanks for reading, hope u found sth interesting and sorry for any grammar mistakes and such.

What happened when the cherubs found out that Loki is a god? Feel like they'd be pretty shocked lol
They would he shock, mainly he is an god. Since they can't say anything, due he isn't part of their problem.
Yet then again, they would ask many questions to Loki why is he in hell if he is a god.
He is there with his own reason, and they can understand. Wouldn't question him futher.

I agree completely and i kinda had this thought while reading your post. Its probably just a wishful thinking, but in my opinion its still possible to somehow save this episode and Octavia. The problem is it would kinda have to directly contradict established "trying is important". It could show that Octavia tries to be patient and understanding but its still not enough, which would lead to some kind of mental breakdown.
For example, her parents are fighting for custody. We saw that she stayed with Stolas, but i dont think they are officialy divorced yet so it could happen. It obviously makes her stressed out so she seeks some kind of comfort from him. But she obviously doesnt get it and so she goes to Loona hoping she can make her feel better and remind her to be patient. I assume in this scenario they are friends, it would be easy to show by opening messages and lowkey showing some old ones. Or if could be established in earlier episode or whatever, not really important here. So anyway she goes to I.M.P and is kinda out of luck cause she gets in the middle of fight Loona and Blitz have. It may be about him being overprotective again or clingy. Maybe it can be even something about her past. And so Octavia sees Loona being angry and hostile towards Blitz. But Blitz is still sweet to her, he doesnt snap nor ignores her. And if Blitzo, murdurer, imp and homebreaker can be this loving how is this that Stolas cant? It doesnt even have to a fight, but just like seeing parental figure being attentive. So she breaks down bringing attention to herself. Others obviously freak up and try to make her feel better. And it leads to some talk in which A. Octavia tells about how she feels, B. Loona saying about her own feelings which helps Blitz realize he needs to give her more space, C. Blitz concluding that maybe Octavia needs to put her foot down for a change. Cause he experienced this lack of concideration and knows that its painful. But he also knows Stolas loves Octavia, so he believes everything will be okay in the end. So Octavia goes back and says Stolas that she would like to say with her mother for some time. And thats how it would end, at least for some time. Then Stolas would have his time to became a little better person and be consistent in this.
Basicly, being understanding is important but u shouldnt neglect yourself either, that would be the lesson. I dont know if what i wrote is interesting or logical, but its just one of the ideas that can be used.
I just wish Octavia get more sreentime, cause i feel for her. I experienced personally how unhappy marriage influences children and i know i have many i have issues because of that. You blame yourself a lot and u try to be good so the situation doesnt escalate. And it makes u emotinally repressed which is problematic in general. So the fact this is what Octavia learnt is wrong and should be reestablished in the future.
Thats why i agree and silently hope we will see more of Octavia.
I love how most of the reactions of the fandom towards Stolas snapping back at Stella for this episode was mainly “LOL YES KING”, or “GOOD FOR HIM HE’S STANDING UP FOR HIMSELF”- “THIS IS SO FUNNY GET HER LOL”- mainly people just stroking his cock oh- I mean supporting him pissed me off because it just goes to show how the fandom and writers don’t give a damn about Octavia, or realize how serious her situation is.

It also doesn’t help that the story’s pacing is lazily sloppy as well, the writers want you to feel bad for Octavia since Stolas is occupied and can’t take her to her special event, but at the same TIME want you to laugh at her parents bickering at eachother, even though the show itself introduced this concept in a depressing light back in Loo Loo Land. Again, it just goes to show that writers don’t really care enough about Octavia. How are you going to introduce a serious topic about divorce and parents arguing around a child who grew up with them and loves them, yet later play it all for laughs? This isn’t really the first time the show did this, they did the same at the end of episode 5, where Octavia was sitting with her parents at the dinner table, listening to music while Stella was just screaming about plotting to kill her husband and Stolas couldn’t hear because plot. The show really just contradicts itself, I said it once and I’ll say it again, Octavia is done so dirty. The writers try to act like they care about her and how she’s upset with all the trauma she’s endured living a toxic household, but not only do they invalidate her feelings and push it to the side so we can have more Stolitz content and “funny” Stella and Stolas scenes, but Viv is SO afraid to fully call out Stolas on his actions. She can’t even fully make him a flawed character without excusing him, pulling the “he’s trying” card in the recent episode, even though Stolas has done the bare minimum as a father from what we’ve SEEN, emphasis on SEEN not HEARD. It’s all bullshit, but let me get back to what I said in the beginning.
For starters, I really don’t understand why fans are patting Stolas on the back in this scene for simply bickering back at Stella, because this isn’t the right moment nor the situation to be doing that. Octavia woke up happy and excited because it was a day that her father promised to take her to, to see this meteor shower. She then goes out and sees that Stolas is busy with packing Stella’s things out of the house, (which btw, doesn’t make any sense because Stolas established in episode 7 that Octavia would “visit her mother” on certain weekends implying that Stella already had her own place but then again I doubt the crew rereads their scripts) but yeah Octavia rightfully so gets worried and upset, asking Stolas if this will be done before he can still take her. Stolas then practically brushes her concern off, and continues to bicker with Stella, this scene once again painting ONLY HER as the one in the wrong, which is another thing that pisses me off because I wish Viv would stop painting this relationship as one sided. Anyway, we see Stolas irritated, shooting back at Stella, which the fans were happy to see, expect this isn’t the moment to cheer?? First of all, all Stolas is doing is being petty back, he’s not acting professional at all, acting like a child as well. If he would have said something like “I’m not taking your abuse any longer, and don’t you dare treat Via the same way or endorse her to this”- THEN I’d understand, but he’s just selfishly slashing back at his wife while his daughter is RIGHT THERE, the same daughter that clearly expressed to him how upset she is about her parents fighting. Like the fans are really saying “I’m so happy for Stolas” while Octavia is right there, endorsing something that isn’t healthy, and yet the show wants you to laugh here. Like the writers really don’t give a shit about Octavia, (saying she should just acknowledge that her father is “trying” when she had every right to be pissed) nor do the fans. They all just care about fucking Stolas, a character that hadn’t done anything to deserve sympathy. Saying he cares about Octavia is the bare minimum, he needs to actually change and put her before his dick, and thanks to the shows awful storytelling, we haven’t seen any of him trying for his daughter, except Loo Loo Land, which is a bad (and the only) example.
The sad thing is that…don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the lesson of “This character isn’t perfect, they’ll make mistakes and you need to acknowledge that” because in general it is a good lesson for people to learn, however it just doesn’t fit in this scenario, nor for a character such as Stolas. He’s still a horrible dad and I stand by that. It doesn’t matter if he genuinely loves her and is more kind to her compared to Stella, that doesn’t excuse any of his actions, and saying “he’s trying” doesn’t cut it because he’s really not. If he were, he would have talked to her about what he’s going through, or Stella and the divorce, and would have just…BEEN there for her. Instead he’s mostly emotionally neglectful, and never thinking about how she might feel. I’m honestly just…done with the fandom and the writers sucking him off all the time just because he’s in a sad uwu marriage. He’s just an awful character and Octavia deserves better in every way.

"“Helluva Boss” is a show about rising above what a powerful world tries to tell you you are and finding love n’ family despite everything you have been through. I’m saying that today because I feel it strongly today. That’s what it is, that’s what we want it to be. A story we care about telling. ❤️" From vivziepop bsky social
I find very valuable that this is the vision the show has, and I think this is the reason why I like it so much. Thanks for sharing !!

Okay, okay. I am fine.
I am calm.
...
No i am not THE NEW HELLUVA BOSS EPISODE JUST DROPPED PEOPLE! And its fuckinG GREAT! Hell yea i am way to excited.
Mastermind is really good. Could it be better? Of fucking course, but i enjoyed it a lot, and by a lot i mean i became an overexcited toddler. I feel like i am way too emotional to logicaly think about all the stuff in this episode, but i think its the best one of this season, like no questions asked.
First of all despite many different stuff happening all of it is a part of a bigger story. I.M.P. as a found family, the systemic racism and classism, all the Sins, law enforcement in hell, the matter of demon mortality (though very briefly) Blitzos individual relationship with each member of the crew, Stolitz, Octavia and Stolas, Stella and Andre, political games played by royals, Blitzos character study and development, Stolas getting completely destroyed, Stella showing clearly how little she cares for Octavia, and some other little things. Its all shown in one, single story. I generally feel like Helluva Boss cant do AB plot format. All the episodes i find most flawed are constructed as such (Especially the fucking S02E02). And imagine how weaker this episode would have felt if the court drama wasnt the only focus. Hovewer the most exciting thing in all of this are consequences. I hope, i really do, oh please make it happen, that Stolas gets so so broken. It may sound cruel but just imagine. Right now he has lost everything for his unfortunate love interest. While at first he was in the position of power now he will be completely dependant on Blitz. No one else is going to be willing to help him. Not one royal and especially no one from lower class. He has no home, no money, no family and no reliable support system. Literally his only ally is Blitz. He is a social pariah. This is the time to face the music. To face all of the bulshit he did, how he treated Octavia, how he treated Blitz and imps in general. Its a literal role reverse. Now Blitz holds all of the power between them. Whats more he has gained a sudden respect and popularity. He finally believed in Stolas love and became fully aware of how deep his own feelings are. I can see the fucking drama. Their perspectives and feelings are once again out of sync. But this time thy have different roles to play. Blitzos have just experienced everything he ever wanted, it was probably the best day of his fucking life. And for Stolas its probably one of the worst if not THE worst.
So what i believe will happen, or rather what i want it to be. Stolas will resent Blitz at first. He will constantly wonder was saving him worth all the riddicule, isolation, dependency and most of all losing his daughter. At the same time Blitz will be way too sweet to Stolas, he will be actually loving and tender for once in his life but also unable to fully emphatize with Stolas, because he is so damn happy right now. For the first time in his live he will be seen as not a failure but a hero. This will be a source of conflict and i hope this will be a moment when both of them actually understand each other. Stolas is facing all the ostracism Blitz has been facing all his life as an imp. It have to be a paradigm shift for him. And Blitz, I think he will see how easy it is to lose the sight of whats important when he is so happy while his partner is clearly not. But to be fair, while i believe they will come back to their toxic relatonship and that Blitz will be an insensitive dick i still want to see Stolas karma more. Because Blitz has been changing, has been becoming aware of his flaws even if he wasnt succeful in becoming better. But Stolas was never succefully called out. Not in Seeing Stars, not in Apology Tour. Blitz may have told him that he treats imps bady, but the message didnt really sink. It made him wonder (as shown in "All 2 u"), but did anything change? I guess now we will have a chance to see. So yea. I really, really love to see Stolas as someone small and broken. Because i hope he it will make him develop as a character. And if thats the plan, if thats why he wasnt really called out before, than i am getting my hope and faith in the creating team back.
Now. The things i didnt like.
Most and foremost, tone shifts. The episode had some good jokes. But some of them has really destroyed the tension. The worst one is when Blitzo is thrown out and starts hitting the door. I am sorry but why put a joke in a scene that should be absolutely heartbhreaking. The helplessness should be overpowering, and yet. Second thing that kind of pissed me off was "because your life has actual worth". I think its a bit too on the nose. And another thing. This is a constant one but... why wasnt all this drama better established in previous episodes? While yes we knew imps were discriminated, and that them using grimouir is illegal it feels like ages since the topic has been seriously touched upon. Whats more the discrimination felt very inconsistent. I wish we have seen more flashed out examples of how imps are treated. Because in this ep its literally said that they are worthless, created to obey. And yet it never felt this serious before??? The mafia with imp boss completely wrecked the concept. Also it was never said just how serious punishment Blitz would be facing if the truth about grimoir came out. I didnt feel any tension. If i was expected to cry or be sad or stressed about this episode, i was absolutely not i was giddy with joy. Same problem with showing Andre or Versago(is it his name?) as characters, though its not a serious issue.
All in all i feel like the biggest problem this show is facing at this point is the lack of system. The series feels both episodic and plot driven. But at the same time what is the main plot at this point? After this episode one may think it was about Blitz changing imps hierarchical status. But was it really?? I feel like at first it was just job killing shenanigans highly focused on dynamics between characters. Then came The Harvest Festival and we became properly introduced to this idea of Blitzos bussines being a way to fight systemic opression. Then Truth Seekers, and we have exploring inside trauma. Then the show became a romance drama, letting go of most things while butchering Stolitz with the fucking Seeing Stars. I vehemetly hate this fucking episode. Half of the second season feels like trying to explain stuff left out of the first one while also fucking everything else. Starting with fucking Seeing Stars and mostly ending with Campers. All these episodes tried to explain some preintroduced topics and managed only to mostly kill all the excitment i had for them. I could list them but this post is already long. So what i am trying to say, does Helluva Boss has any end goal in mind? I think not and i belive it may be the main source of the show's issues.

New ep of Helluva Boss just came out and i actually want to talk about that one. I didnt even bother with the third one cause somehow I didnt have any strong feelings about it. Anyway, lets start.
First of course pacing. I was really suprised how fast we got into the main action, it starts literally a minute into the episode. We didnt even get a proper introduction of Andrealphus ( or however his name is written, i will just call him Andre) and its his first offical apperance. Its quite insane honestly. I really think it might have been better to do this in some other episode where plot would be focused on the divorce. It feels like they didnt know how to start this whole assasination businnes.
Also for me he seems... really boring? There isnt anything about him that we havent seen before. I dislike how Stella was portrayed too. She may have gotten a bit dumber than at the beginning, i mean she cares so much about killing Stolas that she isnt even thinking logically. Its a little weird when you consider how loveless their marriage was, it doesnt look like she has strong enough reason to hate him this much.
Another thing, her relationship with Andre seems as normal as it can be in hell. I hoped for some emotional manipulation or other toxic behaviour that may explain why Stella is such a bitch. But hell no, there was nothing super weird about them though it may be because there were shown for like 2-3 minutes in the whole ep. On one hand i am glad he is not ( at least yet) another villain, but still he felt important enough to get a proper introduction.
What also bothered me about pacing was the structure of plot A and B. Especially in the fight scene where they are paralleled. Its not a bad thing per se but it dissolves the tension. It also felt like there was no need for plot B except for keeping Blitz occupied and unable to rescue Stolas.
Now lets talk about characters. First Moxxie, as much as i am glad that he became a badass i cannot help but feel like it should have happened in 3rd ep. Him fighting his dad would be so much more powerful than dealing with three random guys on gus station and fighting Striker with Millie. This change would feel more natural. I am not saying he is weak, but his skills were mostly with guns, not physical violence. But in this ep he suddenly is very capable of that, he is also less anxious and more reliable (which is a good thing, thats the development from ep 6). Despite all that i was still suprised.
Both Blitz and Stolas feel pretty much in character, so i wont talk much about them. I just wanna say that i liked them. I am kinda sorry that i wont sing praises, even though there was some good stuff but there is still much to cover.
So lets talk about Striker. Oh boy, not gonna lie watching him sometimes felt like fever dream. I dont know if its so bad that its hilarious or just hilarious, i really cant say. First his sudden apperance in the middle of a restaurant with a whole crowd of witnesses, than his theme song. THEME SONG. I am crying, its just so ridiculous. Its a pretty cool joke but also so surreal. Like up until now it feels like writers tried to find a reason for adding songs. Be it jingles, intros or full stage performences the songs were always a part of an actual action. However here its more of a montage, and it can be barely counted as sth else thanks to a few lines in a dialogue. As i said, not sure if its genius or just bad. Then we have all the jokes about Strikers ego, its not out of character, but it also feels like he stopped being anything more. At first he was a genuine threat and someone who Blitz could have chose to be. Here he still tries to be, but cant because of all the jokes. The big dick statue went too far for me. Its also becoming too repetitive. However i really liked when he started choking Moxxie, he looked really wild with all the drolling. It made him look feral, which is cool. The harder joke also caught me of guard. Last thing about Striker, he is well animated. It may seem obvious but i feel like its really not, especially not in season two.
I dont have much to say about Millie, Loona and Stella. Really, my only thought is that Stella looks kinda weird in this ep. Her head feels to big, especially when Andre is next her. Fortunetly Loona and Millie look alright.
Short note about worldbuilding, it gets more and more messed up. What at first looked like nice little clues for creating a bigger picture now is more like random stuff mixed together so they can pretend to be whole. Hell looks more and more like a structured society with jails, hospitals, offices and so on and yet it makes it hard to ignore how absolutely insane this idea is. At first hell looked like a total lack of rules, then we got some info that IMP using Grimouir is illegal, then human disguises, lawsuits and even jail which overall makes an impression that there is some law. But what is this, how does it work? No idea whatsoever. Then we have hierarchy with imps being at the very bottom of it. Now it seems like they arent really so different if they can afford places like Asmodeus or restaurants Stella is willing to go to. Blitzo having a bussines was a big deal but nothing really came out of it. Also whats with their sizes?? They can be as big as Loona or small enough to fit in a bag. It gets more and more confusing. I wont even talk about Moxxies dad, an imp being a literal mob boss ( mafia exists in hell???). Its all a right mess.
Another thing thats is a mess is a quality of sound design and sometimes animation. I felt so disconected from fight scene in this episode because music didnt fit at all. The tension that should have been there went and never came back. Though the animation was gorgeous. However its not so pretty in many other moments where anatomy of characters becomes a mere suggestion. Sometimes the problem is in proportions, sometimes in perspective but also how some scenes are connected and how the mood isnt appropriate for the overall action.
But since we are getting to the end of this post, let me tell about some good things. And by that i mean the end scene. Its really good, it made me feel what i have felt while watching first season. It was emotional but in a quiet, honest way. We got some small gesture that was meaningfull in a context. We also got some explanation about what happened after Ozzie (a little too late, but better than never) and in such a way that i can appreciate. I like small clues, that u have to focus on to fully understand whats happening. Its one of the things that got me into Helluva, it was fascinating to use small things to create bigger pictures. I loved that, and i wish there was more of that in this season.
To finish, i think the biggest problem of this season is that it doesnt know how to build up on what was shown before. It got lost with all the characters, dramas and possible plots and in the end lost the core idea that was at the beggining - IMP bussines. Now it rushes into different plot points and mucks up most of them because of that. It also doesnt give us anything new? First ep was a sensation with mixed response, but despite other ones having important moments it never got up anywhere near the excitment that started with 5 ep of season 1. I really miss that feeling but i am losing hope that Helluva will return to its former quality and charm.
If u read all of this, thank u very much. :3

I dunno if someone said it, but i really think that in a second half of the second season of helluva boss I.M.P. and Stolas will have trouble because of the illegility of their previous deal. Some higher... goverment for the lack of word will find out about imp's adventures in the living world. Maybe because of the cherubs attack. They will have to run away and Stolas will be called by, i assume, Goetia family to disscus the issue.
Anyway thats just a little theory.

Little thought,
I know when it comes to Stolas there is a lot of different and sometimes extreme opinions, so i started to think. And in the end i decided that I pretty much like Stolas, even though he could be so much more interesting.
Like for example, imagine if things were pretty much the same but he had different mindset. Him sleeping with Blitz would be A. about sex and B. about having control. In canon he is not a control freak. But what if he was? What if the thrill was the fact that he owns Blitz, finally being not the one who is controlled (either by Paimon or Stella). And yet he can pretend that he is not like his abusers, because Blitz still complains and has an attitude that lets him maintain the illusion. But then, he kind of starts to admire Blitz for it. Because despite owning him, Blitz still finds a way to rebel, to avoid complete submission. And so he starts to desire not only his body, but also his heart. So he becomes even more toxic. After Ozzie or something equally dramatic he realizes that he cannot truly have Blitz, not against his will. So he decides to let him go (and i mean honestly not as a manipulaton).
But its not the case and Stolas is very... soft for a powerful demon. And it has its charm but its also not very interesting. However i believe it can change, if there will be real consequences for his actions. Like Octavia leaving him to stay with her mother. Or him being stripped from some privileges. Or becoming a laughing stock. Idk, there is quite a variety, though the first one is the most powerful. And i really hope it happens. It would be a nice conflict for 3rd season.

I see your point and i agree partially. I think the problem isnt that they didnt talk with each other, but that they didnt even seem to be bothered by last events. I dont need them to speak, but it would be nice if they shown some discomfort in some scenes. Even one scene would be enough, where they get awkwardly silent or something. I dont need much but i wish it was adressed in any way, because the only thing that stayed the same was Stolas calling Blitz by his name and not petname, yet all this sexual scenes feel a little weird cause this is a problem in their relationship. Blitz feels like fucktoy and is angry he actually cares about Stolas. Stolas doesnt mind that he is in love, but he feels like there is no way to change their relationship into sth more. So even in this scene where Blitz blushes at Stolases human form, there could be just a second when he frowns. Or when Stolas encourages Blitz before his sitcom performence, he may have shown some hesitancy, like he is unsure if it would be okay to adress Blitzo in sexual way, but seeing how distressed Blitzo is he thinks "fuck it" and just goes for it. It would be enough for me and i think it would make this episode feel less like a filler.
okay, so i see a lot of people being kinda (if not very) disappointed in the new Helluva Boss episode because Blitzo and Stolas didn't talk about what happened in the season 1 finale. But may i suggets you consider that they don't want to? Blitzo clearly has some self asteam issues. Not in a devote sense but more like "I know nobody truly likes me so I don't have to let anybody in" ect. I totally could see him already having decided that he won't bring it up again and just continue as if nothing happened. Even if he felt a lot of feelings for Stolas in this episode (and i do not mean lust), he seems like the kinda guy, who's stubborn enough to ignore those and bE rEaSoNaBlE. Wich in this case means not to listen to your feelings, acting as if nothing happened and not talking like fucking adults!
And as for Stolas, i think we should give him the benefit of the doubt, since it was his daughter who went missing. We already know that Octavia is the apple of his eye, so it shouldn't be a surprise that he would put a conversation with Blitzo aside so he can focus on the task at hand. That being said, he might not even know what to say to him. He may not even have made up his mind, like, what was the thing about the asmodean crystals? If he doesn't want to loose Blitzo then he probably doesn't want to get rid of the one reason Blotzo seems to have to stay with him (well in Stolas' head at least).
I think that this episode was supposed to show us very clearly that both of them are wrong in their assumptions because they both have feelings for each other, even though they might not see it.

Heh, here we go with the newest (5th?) episode of helluva boss! Its going to be a short post i hope, cause i dont feel like i have lot to say.
First, i liked it. It was nowhere near the level of the first season but i feel like it may be second best ep in this one. It doesnt say much but hey. I think Blitzos got some good lines i genuinely chuckled a few times (the one about killing children in a quick and painless way as a gratitude for the guy, its typical Blitz). Moxie and Millies B plot was alright, but slightly too long. I am glad to see some troubles in their marriage, it was refreshing. Though i wish it would be more serious, sth to influence plot in the future. Still we got some Millie, and if i am positive it did show us some of her insecurieties about her being good only at killing. Maybe she felt underappreciated in her huge family. Idk, i am trying to be hopeful. I didnt like songs though, Moxxies was kinda funny, but well they still felt unnecessarily long. I feel like Barbie part was rushed, which is a shame, but at least she wasnt completely ruined like Loona in e2s2. I also saw some people being grossed out at some jokes. First Barbie showing her ass to a minor and second about incest. I didnt really think about Barbie being older in that scene cause she didnt look older, so as much as its questionable i think its nothing too shocking for this show and it wasnt implied that she has a sexual relationship with this guy which would be really bad. I think this joke is more about how teenage boys are horny. I wont say its amusing or in a good taste, but this show was always edgy, so expecting propriety from it is unrealistic. I dont like when they go over the top like this time with dicks in the wall, or if comedy contradicts established personalities of characters. But this one is just mindless. I dont think they even realised about phedophilic vibe it has. So, for me it wasnt funny and i see why its so questionable, but when i saw it i didnt even catch that cause any relationship between those two was so out of possibility for me. And now, the incest one. Idk i found that funny. After all the joke wasnt that they are siblings, but that they pretended to be creating a huge misunderstanding. Its just riddiculous enough to amuse me.
Anyway, in the end i feel like this ep is 5/10 or maybe 6. Yep sth like that. Thank u for reading and i hope i didnt piss off anyone too much.

I just watched s02e06 of helluva boss and i have to say i am positively suprised. I really like this episode and i think it may be the best one of this season. This post wont be as long as usual mostly because i wont really criticize. I just wish to point out what made this ep good.
So the most important reason is obviously Fizz. I am suprised by how charming he is. Very energetic even when not on stage, kind of silly and sweet, which is an interesting combo with the voice he has. The way he interacted with other characters made this so fun to watch. Impossibly cute with Asmodeus, suprisingly unadept at dealing with bad guys and of course his whole dynamic with Blitz. This one was the best for me. Despite them being very agressive towards each other, i could still feel all these years they spend together. They know each other well and i am happy it was properly showed. I was even more suprised when i could see the child version of Fizz in his adult self. Like obviously the aversion to violence but also small moments, like how he was amused by the way Blitz invitined him inside a car. And especially when he asked for help. Its very hard not to like him. And his song, it was so silly especially the last part. When i heard "Luigi" i died.
I also appreciate how Blitz and Fizzs past was explained. I cant say i cried but i didnt cringe, and the voice acting was absolutely brilliant. I am glad it really was an accident cause it makes me much more symphatetic towards Blitz.
And while i talk about him, he was really cool. We could see that he is a good fighter and not an idiot with how he broke them out. It was really satisfying. The action scene despite being chaotic was fun to watch and its worth seeing at slower pace. There is this moment when Fizz is literally in Blitzos ass and his face is priceless. I only wish Blitzos skill would be more consistent.
Anyway despite fast pacing it was alright, the mood wasnt randomly changing and they properly focused on the plot and depiction of characters. I feel like sound design sometimes got wacky but i think its more of a personal opinion than anything else.
The last thing i wanted to talk about is Striker. Seeing him completely lose his shit was oddly entertaining. When he first appeared i expected him to be some kind of super boss, a more skilled but also more egoistic version of Blitz. Than he became clown with almost nothing to offer but dick jokes and now he is completely unhinged. Quite a transformation wouldnt u say. And while i still kinda regret him becoming a laughing stock (he became much less threateing), i can enjoy him being a crazy fucker. So maybe he isnt fully wasted.
So yea, these are my thought on the newest episode and i sure hope i wasnt the only one enjoying it. Now i pray this quality stays so maybe i will become fully invested in the show once again.
