(I'm very sorry that I didn't publish more new posts a month ago than I did one a month ago; because I'm semi-inactive as long as I'm just browsing on search or on followed tags and reblogged others' posts in my page for my general interest)
Yesterday, it was about four days in a row that I slowly but semi-decidedly finished the design sheet/concept art + supplementary informations of Randall Boggs and Mr. Waternoose from Monsters Inc. in the version of my unfinished but immediate Crossover AU project/fan book called "Star Heart", this is because this idea of mine usually arose from my strange imagination about the fact that it would happen to these two villainous and meanly disruptive monster boys who generally appeared more often in my Crossover AU of the project at all lol XD.
Anyway, I hope you like my conceptual fan work of two MI villains, as I haven't drawn them in two or three years.
Art, Star Heart AU variant and the mention of my characters (including Dile) are belongs to me (C)
Randall and Mr. Waternoose from Monsters Inc. franchise belongs to Walt Disney Pictures/ Pixar Animation Studios (C)

I would definitely say that it makes 100% sense WHY Randall ended up being the sabateour because Roger specifically said that when he was on the phone with his dad, Mr. Waternoose, he mentioned of how his dad had gotten someone to vandalize the laugh floor and in turn would blame HIM for it which that same EXACT someone who was affiliated in Mr. Waternoose's evil plan to kidnap children in order to save his company from going under who's none other than Randall himself .
Now I have two headcanons of how Johnny became Randall's accomplice and how he was able to locate the EXACT door that lead to the EXACT place where Randall was banished.
I think that in Johnny's private lair that the doors on the conveyer belts are EXACT replicas of the ones at Monsters Inc. therefore Johnny was able to have an exact replica of the very door that Mike and Sulley destroyed after banishing Randall therefore was able to go to the very place where Randall was banished and managed to save him.
Now I believe that the reason Johnny had became Randall's accomplice may likely be the fact that both Johnny and Mr. Waternoose where in cahoots with each other on Johnny's permanent blackout plan with most likely the latter wanting revenge on Mike and Sulley for exploiting him and the former wanting to uphold his family's legacy towards Fear Co.
Now what does that have to with Randall willing to be apart of Johnny's plan you might ask? Well obviously like I said before, Randall was affiliated with Mr. Waternoose but I think the most important fact to consider might've been that since Mr. Waternoose and Johnny were in cahoots on Johnny's plan that since Randall was affiliated with Mr. Waternoose that he might've been aware of Johnny and Randall's direct ties back in Monsters University and insisted Johnny to bring back Randall from the human world in order to have him as his inside man on the job upon Mr. Waternoose's request but likely Randall also wanting revenge on Mike and Sulley for banishing him.

As a fan of the Monsters Inc. saga,
I have several theories and headcanons about various characters.
I have one of a character who is my favorite from the monsters at work series, Henry J. Waternoose IV, aka Roger Rogers.
Henry J. Waternoose IV, aka Roger Rogers: As the series tells it, Roger Rogers is the son of Henry J. Waternoose III, the former CEO of Monsters, Inc., and the late Wendy Rogers Waternoose (née Campbell), a former idol in her youth and Monsters, Inc.'s top scarer.
My headcanons about Roger are that he has borderline intelligence with mild signs of ADHD, and that he is an orphan of the mother.
The theory, as the age of 3, he saw his mother come out of a door after having scared a human child, falling to the floor of the scare floor and foaming at the mouth, and see how the CDA carried his mother in a dome to the hospital.
Six months later, his mother died of rabies because she was bitten by a rabid dog.
This created a great trauma in Roger and a fear of humans, because his father told him that humans and animals belonging to the human world are completely toxic to monsters.
On her first day of school, he was bullied at school for being “different”; That made his father took him to neurologists and psychologists to “fix” his mental disability; seeing that no specialist could “fix” him, his father was very strict, authoritarian and overly demanding in order to make him “normal.”
Roger inherited his passion for music from his late mother, and learned to play the ukulele at the age of 5 by listening to the songs his mother sang when she was an idol.
In his adolescence; His father enrolls him in a special education school, due to their difficulties in learning , and forbids his son from telling people about his neurodivergence, and that he goes to a special education school, so that people do not discriminate against him and mistreat him.
At the age of 11, Roger found his passion for mechanics and photography.
At the age of 20, Roger discovers the machiavellian plan of Randall and his father, this causes him to have a very big argument with his father and be disinherited from the family business, as a response to that he runs away from home and goes to live in New Squeland with his maternal uncle and aunt, and cousins.
5 years later, at the age of 25, Roger receives a call from Monsters Inc. of Mike and Sully, warning him that his father is in jail.
He decides to return to Monstropolis and goes to Monsters Inc.
Mike and Sully offer him a job as a repair technician at MIFT and an apartment paid for by the company.
He usually talks on the phone with his father every 15 days and visits him in jail once a month.

Honorable Mentions: Pollrunner's Picks
For all that people ask me what I thought the most unusual submissions for a given bracket were, I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of my personal favorites who, for various reasons (not getting enough submissions, mainly) didn't quite make the cut.
Eye
Hercule Poirot: Extremely fastidious and picky, with a keen eye for fine details. Personally, I thought he was a better pick than Sherlock, who's always seemed more Hunt-y to my mind, but there were already a lot of detectives in the running.
Lonely
The Ruler of the Universe (Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy): "He deliberately lives alone on a difficult-to-reach planet doing his best to avoid anyone who might try to make him rule the universe (which makes him the best person for the job, which makes people pursue him, which makes him resist all the more)."
Vast
Ursa Major (My Little Pony): Giant bear made of stars. What more do you need?
Sharknado: Again, what more do you need?
Buried
Sheriff Issak (The Adventure Zone: Balance) Trapped his entire town in a bubble setting it outside of time, letting it gradually waste away without outside influence or trade. Also physically buried in that he hides down in the abandoned mines out of shame for his actions.
Dark
Henry J Waternoose III (Monsters, Inc.) The boss of Monsters, Inc. Made his fortune on the screams of terrified children.
Stranger
Vignette Valencia (My Little Pony): "Social media influencer. Uses her magic phone to kidnap people and replace them with holographic copies of themselves that act and dress in whatever way Valencia wishes them to. Her motto is "Be Yourself But Better." Unironically uses text abbreviations in everyday conversation."
Slappy the Dummy (Goosebumps): Evil dummy who frames people for his own evil pranks and villainy, seemingly immortal, and the face of the entire series.

That brief time after you wake up from a dream is always an exercise in getting emotions back under control. Like yes I know we failed to prevent Henry J. Waternoose III getting ripped apart in front of us for a second time after only just getting him back but there's nothing we could have done and It Was A Dream, Stop Stressing About It.

Here’s the script for genies and monsters unite.
One moonlit night, the genie team and their friends were sound asleep and all was calm and peaceful. Until suddenly, Dorie heard her little sister Caitlyn screaming in fear! Caitlyn told her big sister there was a monster in her closet. Ellie asked her what it looked like, but Caitlyn didn’t know. So the genies went into Caitlyn’s closet to investigate. When when they came out, they wound up in a whole different world. And that’s when they spotted 2 monsters. One was named Mike Wazowski. And the other was named James P. Sullivan or Sulley for short. They were playing with a cute little human girl who they call her Boo. The genies changed into their Kaiju fusion modes to blend in and they told them what was happening. When Caitlyn told them what had happened, they told them that they don’t use scream power, they use laugh power instead, which is ten times more powerful. Then Boo knew what Caitlyn was trying to say and she showed them a drawing she made of the very monster who scared her. Mike & Sulley knew who it was. They said his name was Randall Boggs. Caitlyn also explained that two of her boyfriends, Fergus & Marvin got scared by some monsters too. The one who scared Fergus was purple and had horns. Mike said it was Johnny Worthington. And the other monster who scared Marvin had 6 legs. 14 fingers on its hands, and it had 5 eyes. Sulley knew it was none other than Henry J. Waternoose III. They were put in jail for the crimes they did. But Randall escaped custody and somehow bailed them both out. Sulley & Mike got their friends Fungus, Art, Terri and Terry, Don, Scott Squibbles, Tylor Tuskmon, Celia, Val, Smitty, Needleman, Roz, Roze, Chet, Ted, Pete, Carla, George and other monsters to help. Including Mike’s nephew Marty Wazowski and Randall’s nephew Rex Boggs. First, they went after Randall. But it was hard to catch him because he can’t camouflage. Then, Reanne set her glasses to infrared vision, allowing her to detect Randall’s body heat. When they found him, they gave chase, but Mirabelle got hit by the horns of Johnny Worthington & Ellie got trampled by the 6 legs of Mr. Waternoose! It was a rough monster battle! Waternoose tried to silence the genies for standing in his way, but Mike got a drooler cooler. It was the booger blast flavor, which was very sticky. In fact, it was the stickiest flavor of drooler cooler. The 3 bad monsters were soon stuck. And to finish the whole thing off, Sulley scared the 3 with the old Waternoose jump and growl! Good thing Boo covered her eyes and I covered her ears. We wouldn’t want her to be scared of kitty. And the CDA came to take the 3 away. Randall vowed he’ll be back, but Boo just roared at him. After that, they all had a party at Monsters, Incorporated to celebrate their big win. They even went to Mike’s comedy class and tried all the interesting Monstropolis food. And Caitlyn learned it’s laugher they’re after. Tylor, Val, Fungus & Mike made Caitlyn laugh so much, she filled the laugh canisters to the max. Now they had enough laugh power to last for a whole year. Sulley thanked the genie team for their efforts and Mike even gave them cards to remember them by. And official M.I. blue hard hats. And Boo even gave them drawings she made. The genie team said goodbye and they went back home through the door. Dorie was glad that Caitlyn has nothing to worry. Because next time a monster emerges from her closet, they’ll make her laugh by telling funny jokes and comedic skits. But I had a deep feeling that Randall will be back. The end.

Obscure Animation Subject #128: Monsters at Work
I know, this technically isn’t considered obscure since it’s successful enough to get a second season, but it isn’t talked about much so here’s me talking about it.
This is a sequel spinoff to the Pixar classic Monsters Inc, originally released as a Disney+ original for its first season but switched over to Disney Channel with its second season. Taking place after Henry J. Waternoose III's arrest, the Monsters Incorporated are in the middle of transitioning from scary to laughter power. It focuses on a lot of newer characters, the main one being Tylor Tuskmon who just got accepted to working in this company. However he expected to be a scarer, not a jokester. Because of the change, he struggles to fit in and works as a mechanic in the MIFT, Monsters Inc. Facilities Team. You may be wondering, where is Mike and Sulley? Oh they’re still there, however they get the subplots and less screen time than the new monsters. All the old characters are still enjoyable as ever, but the ones introduced for this show are pretty uninteresting and boring, and at times annoying when they make a bad joke. The stories in this show are very simple and have barebones conflicts that can be resolved very easily. This is an even bigger issue when you realize these episodes last over 20 minutes, so it gets boring fast. Maybe if the series went with an 11-minute format, it could’ve been fine, but longer than that can lead to just padding and slow pacing.
Look, this show isn’t bad. If you are a huge fan of the original film and just aching for more of it, then go knock yourself out and watch it. It’s harmless and has its moments, but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t mostly bored by it. Still, it clearly has some love and effort put into it and it's relatively harmless, it just didn’t go in the most interesting direction for a majority of the show. I’ll check out the second season when it comes out soon, hopefully it will get more interesting this time around, especially since the series was apparently on halt for three years…

Henry J. Waternoose III (Monsters Inc) as Incidental A20 (Spongebob Squarepants)

Not me imagining a hilarious "Hell's Greatest Dad" Monsters at Work AU scenario where Henry J. Waternoose III and Fritz as his Frankie Rigatoni persona are fighting over Roger on who's the best dad in song where the cute pink monster girl towards the end of the S2 finale takes Niffty's place and Val takes Mimzy's place in the song lolz!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Fave Animated Movies 6/10: Monsters Inc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Monsters Inc is my favorite Pixar movie. It’s a very different take on monsters. It’s fun and sweet and makes you laugh throughout the whole movie. It really teaches you a lot about of love and what that means at such a young age. The characters are absolutely amazing. Sully is a carefree monster who’s so easily likable and friendly. He comes off kind of gruff but he’s really just a giant teddy bear. It’s really adorable and sweet to see how much he grows as his love for Boo grows. Mike is a more uptight monster who’s always worrying about something. He’s really funny, sometimes on purpose sometimes not, and he really cares a lot. Boo is just an adorable little girl that teaches Mike and Sully that there is more to life than scaring kids. All of the scenes she’s in are either hilarious, sweet or a little heartbreaking. Mike’s girlfriend, Celia, is an underrated character. She’s really sweet, is always willing to help and has such a good heart but she doesn’t put up with Mike’s screw ups. Randall and Waternoose are good villains because they don’t really try to hide their evilness and they give Sulley and Mike and Boo everything they got. Mike and Sully’s friendship is so true and loyal and beautiful. They offset each other really well. The Monster Metropolis is actually pretty genius and intricate and cool. The whole movie the odds are stacked against Mike and Sully and Boo but they never give up. They find a way to get Boo home safely even though they don’t want to say goodbye to her. Sully and Boo’s goodbye makes me want to cry every time. In the end when they make the kids laugh instead of scream it really shows that light and good are better.
