the way I just know musical tumblr and the rest of the internet would be obsessed with Mula sa Buwan (musical retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac set in 1940s WWII Philippines) but it’s locked behind a language barrier

Hey, I don't know if this has been said already, but : since the bros had their hat since they were babies, and that they are twins (they are right?). And they look very alike as babies. What if it was their parents' trick to know who was who at first? to not mix them up?

There isn't a definitive answer in the franchise as to how the bros got their hats.

(Yoshi's Island shows the baby bros wearing them before they are delivered to their parents).

In the movie verse, I headcanon that Mama Mario made them the hats before they were born :)
