first snippet from the newest rewrite of goddess-touched lets go
(also new more casual format so i dont feel obligated to keep things Professional cause this is a play space not, like, a marketing presentation)
dusk pov, ~560 words content warnings: implied mass death, implied familial death
Emerald’s jaw tightens, gratitude and shame dancing around his throat.
His eyes stay downcast as she helps him up. Pinned to the loamy earth as he tests his weight, not quite focusing once the liquid in the dirt stops looking close enough to water to convince oneself otherwise. Even so, before she can brush past him and start leading the way downriver, he stops her with a gentle hand on her shoulder. What comes from his lips isn’t a protest, though. Nor is it in Mae, nor Common. It shivers like an apology all the same.
Lakia freezes, tenses. The coil of anger around her rears its head, flaring and spitting like a cobra ready to strike. Braces, baring its fangs and rippling with a frenzied rage caged just beneath the surface of its scales. Her words are short, clipped. Rill, I think, the smooth trill of the language bleeding through and finally connecting to my memories of Tal’Ren. She turns her head marginally, not quite looking him in the eye as she shrugs towards the devastation. His expression falters. He gets maybe three words of protest out, before she snaps back. The only thing I understand of the exchange is the way she spits Veratrum like a curse. Nothing more is said. He lets go, blinking, troubled and confused and guilt-ridden. She walks on, waving for the crew to follow, surreptitiously telling one to keep an eye on Emerald in case his leg fails. And together, they all begin the dogged journey back to Aree. I linger, even after Emerald shakes himself back to the present. Watch the water, a flimsy thread of connection to something--someone--else tickling at the back of my awareness. Turn, once I’ve built up the courage, and look back to the remains of Impalfahr. Five glass statues stand atop the ruins. One is much smaller than the rest, her violet locs tied back in a name-bracelet that I lost along with the book it was holding place in about a year after she died, and that I still find myself missing at the oddest times. Two are strikingly paler than the others: one hunched and worn with age, her lilac braid nearly brushing the ground, the other standing at attention and baring the line of red rope burn that circles his throat even in death. Another, skin darker than mine and face more indistinct than the others, my memories too faded for the details to form, holds her hand up in a gentle, sad farewell. And the last, standing ram-rod straight as ever, peers at the center of the ruins as he chews on the pipe between his teeth. “Ember was right.” I hear Genli Rainer’s echoing, rattling voice again, just like when he first appeared in the desolation. He only managed a greeting, then, before the rest of the city awoke. “Wish I was brave as they are, to tell them when I could. Maybe this is the clean slate they can use to change the world.” He turns crisply on his heel, the only one of the souls still recent enough to move. He raises his hand, touches it to his forehead. And Genli Rainer, general of Impalfahr and my Godfather in all but legality, fallen with the rest of the city at the hands of it’s own, gives me the three-fingered salute of the Firebreathers. “Give Actaea hell for me.”

The weird side of the smiling critters fandom need to be addressed and brought to light as Its actually vile creepy and I don’t see many people talk about it.
Tumblr media
Before I get in there are mentions of pedophilla. Nsfw. And sexual assault. If these topics are sensitive to you. Feel free to go now.
-
-
-
-
-
Now I’m not gonna go to in depth with this bit as I already did in another post a while back. But the weird art you see on thumbnails on YouTube. On Tik Tok. Or on twitter is downright wrong. Your basically showing NSFW to minors what is wrong and a crime. Also let’s not forget how children coded these characters are aswell.
Now with the second part. TIK TOK AND TWITTER
Now unfortunately on Tik Tok there is very weird art of all these characters. Specially dogday and catnap. I’m sure you’ve all heard of that one edit and unfortunately there are people basiclsly posting porn on there but censoring it very lightly. I’m sure if you’ve been on Tik tok you’ve heard about the “burrito incident” with a piece of art that has dogday and catnap in. If you haven’t all you need to know it’s very disgusting artwork of catnap SA dogday in his heretic form. (The one where he’s in half) and it’s all censored with a fucking burrito.
Not only has it basically been shared round the fandom on tt but also the original post IS STILL UP?!?!?
I shouldn’t have to say why this is disgusting but just in case you need to know. NOT ONLY ARE BIGGER BODY CATNAP AND DOGDAY KIDS. WHAT IS PEDOPHILLA ALREADY? THE FACT THERES SA IN IT? THATS FUCKING DISGUSTING AND INSENSITIVE AND DOWNRIGHT WEIRD? ugh the whole situation on Tik tok annoys me. And to the people who say “ima give catnap the hour of joy” he’s 8. Don’t try argue. Oh BUt HE dIEd 20 YEaRs aGo. DOESNT matter. It’s still weird and he is still 8.
Not gonna go In depth with twitter but twitter has even more disgusting art on it. And also people that attack you if your even in the fandom. So yea.
Now finally the shipping aspect of all this…
Now I’ll say this. I think the cartoon versions being shipped. As long as it’s platonic and nothing nsfw and aged up. It’s fine. In fact I’ve seen some genuinely wholesome art on tumblr about it. But you need to tread thin with this as stated above.
Now with the experiments? Please don’t. There kids first of all. and second of all anyone who ships catnap and dogday in experiment form REALLY needs to play the game. Cause yk. Catnap kinda cut dogday in half. Just don’t ship the experiment versions. It’s wrong.
Sorry for this post but I had to say it again. I seen so much bad art of them around and the fact it’s not being taken down is bad very bad. It shouldn’t be able to roam free of no consequence. Want my opinion? See a weird piece of art? Report it and block the creator. Done. Thanks for your time

what she says: hi
what she means: ive never seen anyone point this out i dont know if this is common knowledge but CLOVER LOVES MARTLET. "well no shit the pacifist ending is canon they love everyone" NO. you DONT UNDERSTAND. she is their FAVORITE. in neutral you can still see them love martlet. no matter how many people theyve killed, no matter what you choose, no matter who they are cruel or cold to, they will still always try to live with martlet and they will still always be upset when flowey kills her. martlet's death is the only death in the entire game they are shown to be upset about. but guess what it doesnt stop at pacifist and neutral. they love her in vengeance too. in their first fight she asks to be let go and they just let her go! hello!!! they kinda did that with north star but then immediately after they oneshotted him. and when axis attempts to flee they chase him down til he dies. but martlet? yeah sure lady go ahead. later in the dunes, they pull their gun on her but dont take the shot, and like- they took the shot with star and axis!!!! did clover shoot them because they learned to not hesitate because of martlet running away? or did clover give her special treatment because they actually like her? well remember the midway-through-zenith cutscene where clover looks at martlet's memory. and martlet asks if the reason clover peeked was because they needed a stronger reason to kill her. I THINK THEY DID. I THINK THEY REALLY DONT WANT TO FIGHT MARTLET. the vengeance run was a violent manifestation of the result of flowey's manipulation and possibly also the player's puppeteering but despite all the trauma theyve endured clover still. loves. martlet.

okay so like. theres a part of me that wants to say smth like 'after all his promises and morals, vash just kills knives? whats the point then!' but. ive been left FLOORED and still think its really good so lets think about this some more. like its not unsatisfying at all; let me figure out why. this might get a little stream of consciousness
i think the penultimate episode where vash struggles to come to terms with having killed legato is crucial here. he comes into the episode shaken; no one has the right to take the life of another, regardless of what they do, he's stopped living up to rem's ideals, he's killed a man and even though legato was a killer, even though milly and meryl and the townspeople would have died if vash hadnt killed him, theres smth in vash thats screaming out that its NOT RIGHT. that its a mistake. but then vash ackowledges that, and its through making the mistake that he finds his peace with what he's done; everyone makes mistakes, and as long as you keep trying to do better next time, youre still okay. and like.... that on its OWN still doesnt sit right w vash killing knives, but hold on! theres another layer
because whats REALLY important here i think is that vash is acknowledging that hes ALLOWED to make a mistake. and i think something much much deeper clicks here; this is the point where vash shifts from 'plant/superior being who preaches kindness, can always find another way out, and refuses to break his morals' to 'human who can and does make mistakes, and isnt any better than anyone else.' for as much as vash loves humanity and has tried to live among them, theres been heavy themes that hes NOT one of them throughout the show, even before its more explicitly revealed. humanoid typhoon. angel. plant. act of god. knives is so clearly out of touch with humanity, and embraces it, but vash is just as bad; hes just trying to pretend hes human. half his smiles are fake. his haircut is one rem gave him. one of his arms is a prosthetic and the other turns into a plant gun that destroys cities overnight and puts a hole in the moon. he doesnt BELONG.... until he does!
going back a step further here. wolfwood is absolutely crucial. he's an ideal example of the worst kind of human (and theres some deep heavy symbolism of him being a priest, the ambassador to a higher existence that speaks with the angels on behalf of humanity), he has killed time and again, he shoots a child to protect his own. vash cant understand him, until after he's already dead and vash has to shoot legato. wolfwood was a crutch for him, making the hard choices so that vash didnt have to, but he also becomes the model that vash follows, because even after everything else, vash FORGIVES him. vash recognizes that wolfwood was following his own morals, protecting his own people, and was able to grow and change and love in ways that prove that he was still, to the end, a good person. and if vash can offer that forgiveness and salvation to wolfwood without question, then it follows that he can offer it to himself, as soon as he stops acting like he should somehow be better than the rest of humanity
and all that on its own, with just the death of legato, is a very very good arc. so why does vash still need to kill knives afterwards? well..... because trigun is also a story about abuse. its about brothers who love each other so so much, but one of them uses that love to convince the other that the two of them are special, that the whole world besides them should die, that if vash would just sit tight and LISTEN to him then everything would be okay. a brother who cries like a child when vash dares to rebel against him, who insists vash is a fool playing games for leaving him and trying to save everyone else. vash spends the series following rem's final command: take care of knives. he cant kill knives, cant even hurt him, cant do anything to stop him when knives has been wiping towns off the map, because deep down knives MUST be good, there MUST be something worth saving, and vash is the Only One Who Can Stop Him. who can protect him. who can take care of him. and thats.... vash's way of seeing himself as the special little boy, the protagonist of the story, the Superior Being he keeps pretending he isnt. so OF COURSE when vash acknowledges his humanity and the fact that he just... cant do everything, hes able to see that actually, he cant fix knives. maybe no one can. and even if someone could, it would be a long time of people hurting before it happened. and vash can do something now to save those people and free himself from the cycle of abuse, so he does
and man. fuck. the shows been telling us from the beginning that vash is just some guy. we spend four or five episodes with no confirmation that he actually IS vash the stampede. he acts like a side character in his own story. its only when meryl starts to believe he's someone special that the audience starts to see it, and fittingly, its meryl speaking in his defense with the words 'no one has the right to kill anyone else,' as if shed say the same thing about anyone else, as if its not just that its VASH that drives her to defend him; thats when vash's humanity becomes real
anyway good show

id love to hear ur reasons about why alphinaud should have gravitated more towards ysayle. like actually now that you say it, that would have been nice and her ideals seem like they shouldve influenced his a lot
first up is just going to be talking about how great of foils they would/were for each other with the fact that:
alphinaud was raised with a silver spoon lodged in his mouth in a country that was very isolationist and all about not helping other countries or engaging in their politics, raised by a father who spouted ''those outside of old sharlaya can go wage war and kill each other all they want and we will refuse to interfere" politics at him, which raised him to be much the same way and then try to play military with his crystal braves before getting the cloth ripped from underneath him and all of his toy soldier antics fell apart before him. because he was a kid playing war when all he knew was textbooks and debate
ysayle was raised outside of ishgard in a small community, and when a terrible blizzard befell them due to the calamity they came knocking at ishgard's door and was promptly told NO, by her OWN PEOPLE, purely because ishgard held the same ''were too busy with our own business and we refuse to help others'', which lead to her entire community, her family, dying. she nearly perished there too before she had her visions again and sought out hraevsalger in dravania and being found by marchechamp. she too would grow up to attempt to lead her own peace corp before it all fell apart with the violence of the people below her and the dragons, and her own revelation of her not being truly the saint shiva reincarnated
alphinaud was the one who told her the plan to broker peace between ishgard and dravania instead of waging a war, and this point where she goes with them couldve been an amazing bonding time for them since alphinaud's crystal braves was made in an attempt to broker peace as well in a system that only had conflict amongst each other, similar to ysayle's heretical charge, and they couldve had SO MUCH to TALK ABOUT WITH THAT ALONE! Along with the conflict of how alphinaud was a rich boy playing peacemaker in boots too big for his feet while ysayle was attempting to play peacebroker in a war she didn't fully understand, putting herself in waters deeper than she thought and nearly drowning.
sorry to estinien but compare this with what he had going on which was a very one-sided storyline about wanting revenge and catharsis, leaning him squarely in the ''ishgard is in the right here and dragons need to be eradicated'' square, sort of brushes awkwardly against alphinaud who is no longer That much of an asshole and has taken his grandfather's approach of peace for all. I also say that this doesnt mean that i dont think estinien and alphinaud's friendship is bad and i loved it a lot but i think they also try to divide alphinaud and alisaie as ''alphinaud can only have guy friends and alisaie can only have girl friends'' and they try not to let those wires cross unless its for alisiaie to have a special moment with a younger boy in a sort of motherly/older sister way (halric and ga bu, both of which are amazing).
i just think through the similarities of the two alphinaud and ysayle couldve have an interesting friendship form through heavensward, and then when ysayle sacrifices herself for the cause and dies saving ishgard it would weigh on alphinaud as sort of an ''ultimate step'' in his recovery from the crystal braves incident --- sort of asking alphinaud ''this is war, this is the reality of conflict, are you going to stay in your books and stuffy seats of old sharlaya and call out commands from the safety lines and get nothing truly done? or accept that death is always waiting at the doors of those who want to enact true change?" and have that rest on his shoulders as he continues to grow and work with the scions, sprinkle on the fact that this can call back to his own grandfather's sacrifice and how that made fourchenault feel, thus making fourchenault raise alphinaud the way he did and make him that silver spooned little kid wanting to play war when hes never actually experienced true conflict. this also wouldve been an easy way to wedge in alphinaud's coils of bahamut character growth for people who entire skipped it since even yoshi p wants to forget about coils LOL
And lets not forget the end where alphinaud rips that eye out of estinien and the ghost of ysayle lays her hands over his to help him --- ysayle is HEAVILY unremembered by MSQ compared to haurchefant, and the only person they really use to remember ysayle is the dickhead who argued with her and told her off constantly and said to her face he doesnt care if she dies. because why the fuck does estinien call her ''my lady'' when just 4 hours ago in msq he was in her face watching her cry and told her shes useless and theyre moving on from her shitty plan. i wanna beat estinien sometimes
and it was cool for endwalker to remember her, but you know who has the most amazing opportunity to carry the torth of ysayle? alphinaud
like for gods sake she was a WARRIOR OF LIGHT, she HAD HYDAELYN'S CRYSTAL and wasnt just an echo user like krile, she was the Only Other Goddamn Warrior of Light in eorzea we ever met and the story just walked on from that fact and barely remembers her. I just somebody to remember her so bad and alphinaud is the perfect kid to have that close friendship with her and carry on her memory got damn

AAA, okay - (it's fun for everyone involved I think, it's so interesting reading everything you have to say, like seriously....) My tav is a human noble, and her name is Saoirse (this doesnt really matter i just love her lmao) and she has a bad relationship with her family; her parents are very traditional in that they see men as the heirs, and women don't take over thrones/noble houses, it's the sons that do this. She had one older brother, and her parents intended to have another son to have the "spare" so to say, and instead, they had her- a daughter. No matter how many times they tried after her, they could never have another child (a lot of miscarriages tw) and they ultimately blamed Saoirse, saying she was a curse to their family. Her older brother eventually dies in battle- and he was the only family member who loved her/treated her well; in an attempt to get *anything* from having a daughter, they intend to have her married off- but she runs from home and never goes back; she's a barbarian and the reasoning for that is because she's so full of pent up anger and rage from her familial life that, well, being a barbarian is an amazing outlet for that rage. She's kind of on the middle ground of being good and bad- she likes to help people (usually children or people she feels are pure of heart) but she also likes to get things in return for doing things (it's how she lived after leaving her family!) And she's actually pretty vulgar with her speech despite having been a well and proper noble (she was groomed to be a good noble girl - because if they were going to have a daughter- she was at least going to be proper.) A bit blunt sometimes. But sometimes, her little noble girl peaks through in some situations. It's what makes her good at convincing people and being diplomatic... And I just wonder if Astarion would just be... So annoyed by her/hate her noble upbringing- like I always thought perhaps at first he pins her as a noble and thinks she's been raised with a silver spoon in her mouth... Like I wonder if they'd even work at all, you know? Anyways sorry I'm going on for too long- and her story is probably very cringe but I still love her!!!
Aw, come now, flower. We don't do cringe. We love all them Tav's and Durges on this blog. Unconditionally.
Also, Saoirse and my durge Whisper - born Alastríona- have to be chaps now solely based on the fact that they both have Irish names 👉🏻👈🏻
Anyway!
At first glance, I can't see why Astarion and Saoirse wouldn't work. I don't even think he'd be that annoyed - at least there's no inherent reason for him to be as far as I can tell.
I can only speak very generally, of course, because I don't know how exactly Saoirse would behave in conversation and what traits she carries the most openly, so a lot of what follows will be based on assumption.
The "worst" clash of character I could see would be the part where she likes helping people. But that's relatively infinitesimal of a problem since she at least wants compensation for what she does. He generally handles that better than he does straight-up martyrs.
Furthermore, Astarion is a man of quick judgement - both by nature and by affliction - so how he first views Saoirse is probably highly dependent on how she initially presents herself.
Is the first impression more noble or barbarian?
He might look down on a very posh noble girl, but less because of her inherent nobility and more because she's "sheltered". (She obviously isn't, but he doesn't know that yet.)
(And, let's be honest; the former would be rather ironic, seeing as Astarion is likely of nobility as well. I wouldn't put it entirely past him, but it would need a very special attitude to make that one probable. )
But, going off of that: Nobility is basically the peak of shelteredness, as we probably all agree. Like, sure, being of nobility might not be easy, and there's a lot of expectations that come with it, but, in the end, nobles never go hungry.
They don't have to sleep in dirt.
They don't have to grovel just to be able to live.
Their pride is intact in all it's facettes and their dignity hasn't been ripped to shreds.
Astarions, however, has.
His dignity was shredded by Cazador, every little plight against his humanoid rights leaving another mark until it's raw.
Over the course of the game, we see him regain some of the pride he likely used to hold in himself. We can see it in how he stands up for himself later on - one of my favourite moments being when he berates Tav after they mention that Cazador has "really destroyed" him and he's like "No. I'm still here." and all that.
BUT that's later.
He has to get there first so, at first, "sheltered people" are likely to be a sore spot of his.
I think I mentioned it before in another ask, but people who experienced a lot of trauma tend to view those they consider "sheltered" in a rather negative light.
"Sheltered" relates to naïveté and naïveté can be viewed as idiocy, thus leading to infantilising behaviour towards the sheltered person. They "Don't know anything" and "haven't seen anything", so "how dare they talk"? It's a very normal point of view, and Astarion is probably not different in that regard, even if he's not outright saying so because he needs Tav on his side.
But, with Saoirse specifically, I see another thing coming up that could possibly be interesting.
Saoirse was raised as a noble, but she is somewhat blunt, vulgar and angry. She is used to having poise and grace. It's what she grew up seeing, what was expected of her and what was instilled in her for the longest of times. But at the same time she's a barbarian. A barbarian! The very opposite of a noble; the true opposite of poise and grace.
That's a contradiction if I've ever seen one and with Astarion being as deep in his survival mode as he likely is...well, he'd definitely notice. He'd notice that her gait is too elegant for your standard barbarian, her poise too graceful and her choice of words too perfect at times to be what she seems. But he'd also see the rage she carries and her willingness to let it out when the situation arises.
It's two very different natures that meet - the elegant and somewhat cold nature of nobility and the fiery passion of barbarians. It will take time to actually see how those two correlate and that is definitely something that would have him wary.
Contradictions like that are dangerous, because they make people somewhat unpredictable. That is something he absolutely doesn't need right then. If he can't somewhat estimate her actions, he can't make use of her. Worse, he can't plan his own actions properly because who knows what sets her off?
No. Astarion needs Saoirse to be predictable so that he can be safe.
So he'd likely hesitate a bit longer before he can truly be open with her. He needs to scope her out and get to know here more - enough to actually see who she truly is - to feel safe enough to trust her.
(Learning of her past is likely helpful here because it weaves the red thread through everything. Knowing how she grew up will explain her anger, thus helping ease his uncertainty. It basically takes the contradiction out of Saoirse because her actions suddenly begin to make sense.)
But as I said, despite that contradiction, I don't see any reason why those two wouldn't work! If anything, I think it could be a very healing relationship for the both of them.
(Especially Saoirse, seeing as Astarion is extremely loyal once you're in his heart and he's not shy about telling you that you're the only one he's ever cared about. He'll choose you over everything else, maybe shy of his own hide, and that could be exactly what someone like Saoirse needs after a lifetime of disdain. )
That's it, flower! That's as much as I can say from what you've told me - but do hit me up if you'd like to know more or for whatever other reason!
Saoirse sounds absolutely lovely, and I would love to hear more about her ❤️

did you delete your shinran future post? i liked it so i could read it later and now i can't find it anymore
hey!! yes I did -- for reasons that end up boiling down to not liking how I worded things and making it all seem much more uhhhh negative then I intended to. Sorry about that!
I've been thinking these past few days and if you still wanna know what I WANTED to say but hopefully better worded here you go. Also sorry for any spelling/typos I'm actually on my computer for once so I dont have autocorrect to save my ass. <- can never remember how to do the cut thing on mobile
I think in real life ShinRan would not work out. I want to emphasize in real life, because ShinRan is my favourite ship (despite my occasional dabbeling in Heijshin) and I love them and I want them to work out and this is, at the end of a day, a story about them and their life and how much Shinichi loves her. I do actually consider the manga a lovestory first and foremost, because Shinichis main motivation is to return to Ran and to live a happy normal life with her -- normal crossed out because I doubt they'd ever be able to live a normal life, but you get what I mean.
In univerese I imagine they'd work out similarly to Yusako and Yukiko, where yeah there's a case every other day, but they still get to spend enough time together to make up for Shinichi having to get up during dinner to safe the day or whatever. Shinichi actually returning to his life as Shinichi and a potential reveal where Ran realises that huh he never actually did leave her alone and had good, legitimate reasons for his "absence" -- that would probably really work in their favour. If he actually gets his shit together and works with her/lets her tag along (in case he ends up being a detective like her dad) that'd be a hugeee plus (bodyguard ran :sideeye:).
If he ends up going the police route with a semi regular (???) work schedule and a DUTY to leave, even during, perhaps, dates or whatever, I think Ran could cope with that as well, knowing how her dad used to have to leave her mum and her admiration (?) for the policemen/women in her life (<- so long he doesnt go down the Furuya route and/or joins one of the many, many organisations that would probably beg him for help once the BO is taken down. Like I think Ran would probably be over the whole spy/really dangerous people are after my life all the time thing and straight up beat him up if he tried to.)
In real life though I only see too real possibilties: either Ran gets tired of having to wait for him all the time, before the reveal even happens, (which has,,,sorta?? happened in canon already?? like its a joke at this point, and she does have the patience of a saint but lets be real) -- a girl can only take so much, and having to watch her sit around and wait for him all the time hurts even as a fan. Like at some point she'd be fed up with his shit or, if she somehow managed to hang on, Sonoko'd be fed up with his shit.
Like someone in her life would go: you know what? screw this and make her move on and they'd be right to do it too. Again, love Shinichi, like that's my special guy and whatever, but I don't think Ran, or anyone for that matter, could be happy in a relationship like that. Option two is...well...unlikely to say the least becuase, lets say the reveal does happen before she calls it quits and the BO gets taken down and Shinichi gets the therapy he needs -- unless he stops working as a detective, I honestly don't see them working out.
Finding out that your childhood best friend and boyfriend almost died, multiple times all while trying to protect you and lying to your face over and over again to do that is STILL putting himself in danger again and again??? I don't think Ran would like realistically be able to sleep every time he'd be out solving cases or whatever. And I dont think Shinichi would let her come along either because his main motivation is to protect her and she's already gotten in danger during "normal" cases before. AND SHE WOULDNT WANT TO KEEP WAITING.
So. Either he quits (which I don't see happening, not for lack of trying on his part but rather his ability to attract danger and also his sense of justice wouldn't let him I think) or they call it quits for their own sakes.
But this isn't real life so idc shinran on top lmao in my head they get married and live happily ever after

Robooty Reviews: Royal Servant (3/10)
Tumblr media
Read this way back in middle school... shared mangago lists with one of my friends and recognized this one and decided to reread. Lord. Who Likes This. The story is about Kyon and his master Lucaon and theres like some plot bullshit since in this world theres these guys who are royals and got these powers that they never fuckin use and live longer too and are strong n all that. and the only way to kill one tho is to give them this special poison that is completely undetectable and the only way to cure it is if the person who administered it fixes that shit. But yeah Lucaon hates servants and Kyon is a servant and Lucaon is a classic stoic scum gong and falls in love with Kyon but only starts being nice to him once Kyon literally spends 20 chapters on the brink of death lol bro got a fever and slit his wrists and fell into an ice pond and then got a fever again and pneumonia and Lucaon went "..... ok ill be nice to you now"
the art is good for this story dont get me wrong but its really really really stiff expression wise. maybe i'm just a little stupid and i need to see a huge cartoon tear drop to tell a character is sad but for realsies I do think that the art is pretty, but the expressions when bitches are fucking dying and shit could be a little more extreme. its okay to sacrifice their pretty boy looks for one pannel trust me..
The romance itself is just like whatevs. I will admit I am a fan of how kyon will just take anything like bro does not give a fuck okay cuz hes madly in love with Lucaon and doesnt care what he does to him. Im pretty sure in one chapter Kyon is just walking in the halls and Lucaon lunges at him and bites him until he bleeds and kyon passes the fuck out from the attack and its just like ok lol. LUCAON DOESNT GIVE A FUCK HES SO MEAN TO KYON UNTIL HES SUDDENLY NOT BECAUSE HE HAD HIS SCUM GONG REALIZATION WHEN KYON TRIES TO LEAVE HIM 15 MILLION TIMES AND ALMOST DIES IN EVERY INSTANCE OF TRYING TO LEAVE. the upside to kyon is that hes a simp and a pussy and he is a bit of a little bitch but he isnt a whiny bitch about it. like lucaon is his tormentor and he finds out that THERES A POSSIBILITY that he could be the cause of Lucaon's demise and immediately is like okay ill kill myself i need to get out of here and thats why he almost dies 10 million times trying to leave bc he only tries to leave bc lucaon's blonde ass brother is like dude. you might cause Lucaon to die since you're a secret spy with your memories wiped. AND ITS KINDA FUNNY BECAUSE HE STRAIGHT UP SEES KYON ALMOST DEAD IN BED AND GOES "GOD I WISH THIS BITCH WOULD JUST DIE ALREADY" LOL!!
When i was younger i was a fan of the pink haired guy (lucaons other brother) and his servant who is his boyfriend and treated as an equal and yeah younger me was right tbh kind wish the story focused on them instead. but ngl i hate the entire family drama thing bc like its the plot and all that but im like WHO GIVE A FUCK? this manhwa is just mid. mid as fuck. I'll admit when i was younger i re read the 20 chapters where kyon is on the brink of death like 50000 times over and over again because i loveeee suicide and i lovee when kyon tries to kill himself a million jillion times and Lucaon is like FUCKING STOP. theres like idk tiny hints of goodness. I can enjoy a good scum gong alright and I do like when Lucaon is like "brah... ive seen you cry more times than smile..... thats kinda fucked" MMMMMMM YES. FEEL BAD. FEEL REMORSE. but its just not worf it okay the manhwa sucks and its 100 chapters or some shit like that bruh moment. I also do like how at the end Kyon acknowledges that hes going to die before Lucaon and Lucaon needs to learn how to love other people than him because he doesn't want Lucaon to be stuck on him forever and ever. I think it was a nice bittersweet thing. In short. just not my thing. mid. equivalent to eating spoonfuls of peanut butter for dinner. Like you can... wont be very satisfying tho

howdy party people.  i became obsessed with the stanley parable, and also happened to start detroit become human at the same time. so i figured ,why not combine my two hyper fixations into a single au thing. so, behold. havent decided what the name is, but my buddy and i think it should either be detroit: become stanley, or stanley: become human. both funny. as for the story stuff, the farthest i got was narrator being a director, but being irritated at how much actors stand out nowadays. he wanted someone ordinary, who could act. his buddy jim who works at cyberlife got a team to make him a gift - the stan lad. he comes with ton of stuff, like parkour, multiple languages, multiple attachments, body language, sign language. turns out they included that last one because for some reason (will explain in a mo) his voicebox wont work.  theres a whole gimmick where the control pad can set parameters, reset stanley (which just makes him temporarily shut down until someone moves him to either another scene or the beginning and is MEANT to reset his memory of the previous script but doesnt), but for the beginning its used as a guide since, new toy, need instructions. well, as you can see, at some point, stanley is able to break free from his script and show emotion (distress). seeing as narrator is holding something stanley is directly connected to, he sends a distress message showing that he is in fact living and remembering every time he is reset or dies (another thing i am working on. like i dont know if its like, his body after dying will automatically put itself back together or what. that would be kinda gruesome though). as for the reason his voice box doesn’t work, my current reasoning is because it couldn’t put itself back together after he was broken for the first (test) time. and seeing as jim kicked down a door asking where his special gift was, they decided it was 95% complete, and the sign language could make up for it. dont know what the narrator will look like yet. its allllll just an idea. but!! im excited about it. its a little silly, but with all the parable AUs people have been makin, i figured i would try my hand at it. ^^ have a good day yalls! (this will look scuffed as i ramble and just type what comes to mind. apologies) oh yeah, i forgot. the funky model is IR200 which i wrote as standing for either Infinite Repetition or Infinite Reset. idk which is better

an analysis on Mike's feelings progression, and the Love Confession Epiphany trope
i've read many, many analyses about mike, his feelings [for will, and in general] and whether he's aware of them or not, and one very common, popular interpretation is that he's always had feelings for will, making byler fall into the "it's always been you" trope. and while i LOVE this interpretation, i want to offer my own perspective.
s1-s2 mike
i think at the beginning of the show, mike is truthful when he says they're all his best friends. they're all unique, and different from each other. mike has different dynamics with all of them, but they're all his best friends.
then, with will's disappearance and his later possession, mike realizes something: Will is special, and he IS different from the rest of his friends. we can see how he's aware of it by his shed monologue when he tells possessed will that asking to be his friend was the best thing he's done.
and, honestly? i STILL think that up to this point, all mike feels towards will is a VERY strong friendship, but, of course, people grow up and nothing ever stays the same.
s3 mike
oh, this is a complex one. we know mike spends most of his time with el, and we can interpret his behavior in a lot of different ways. there's ONE thing i know for sure: he's not doing it for "romance" or because he's so in love. We have to look at the events that took place in the previous seasons: in s1, el "died" saving everyone, and in s2 mike felt so, so guilty, so he spent so much time thinking about her and calling her. he wanted her to be safe, he began considering her one of his friends (a friend is someone you'd do anything for), and also, the fact that he was a 12 year old boy who just saw a girl sacrifice herself and vanish.
s3 mike, now going through puberty and entering his teenage years, is glued to el's side and he's doing it for two reasons:
he's scared to lose her again. as simple as that. she is his friend, who he thought he lost before, and he wants to make sure she is safe (sounds familiar?). one of mike's character traits is that he feels the need to protect other people, and this, of course, includes el.
it's what he's supposed to do: isn't it the natural progression of the story? el is the first girl mike has befriended. everyone around him started assuming he liked her simply because he was nice to her and cared. they started teasing him. and mike thought "yeah, it makes sense", because why wouldn't it?? it's what they see in the movies, tv, and comics all the time. However, i dont think by this point he's aware he's following societal's expectations. Mike genuinely enjoys spending time with el. they have fun together, find comfort in each other (mike gets a reminder that el is there, safe, not in danger anymore, and el has the company of one of the first people that showed her kindness and friendship) this is really undeniable. he doesn't particularly like kissing, but he doesn't dislike it either: he's a teenager, kissing is fun, makes you seem cool, and hey, if you run out of conversation topics you can just kiss and problem solved! i dont think he spends time with her out of pity, as a cover, or anything like that. he's just unaware he's hurting and sidelining his friends in the process, too. the context here matters, of course, because this isnt the modern world. this is the 80's, a time where being gay in a smalltown could be extremely dangerous, and the media spread misinformation about the aid's epidemic. so i dont think mike is aware of anything, but i can see this easily being one of his fears*: he and his friends (specially will) have been bullied by homophobic kids, the people in household doesnt seem particularly accepting, and it's a common experience for lgbt+ kids to feel this feeling of guilt, wrongness, not 'normal' from a young age and not understanding why.
...but then, of course, stuff happened, and said stuff involved one of the most important (see: s1-s2 mike) people in his life: will.
Will, hurt because it seems like his friends don't want to spend time together like they used to, tells mike he's ruining the party. so mike projects his fears* onto will:
Tumblr media
and mike immediately regrets it, realizing he's wrong. he gets, again, this feeling of guilt he's felt before, but a thousand times worse because it's his best friend he's talking to. and it's unfair, that's why he rushes to try to fix things.
next thing we know, mike is telling the entire room he loves el and that he can't lose her again. Sounds familiar? yeah, we went through this before, which is why i dont think it was a lie: of course he loves el and doesnt want to lose her. she's his friend and he has lost her before. this interaction here is what leads me to believe mike is STILL unaware, still fully believing that what he feels for el is romantic love..
up until the famous s3 finale, at least.
Tumblr media
this, this is when confusion starts to kick in. when he starts questioning things. El, his girlfriend, just told him she loved him and kissed him. But he's confused, as we can confirm by the script. because isn't he supposed to feel.... happier? more excited?? by his girlfriend telling him i love you? is this really how being in love feels?
Tumblr media
and this right here is where the path towards his character grow REALLY begins. mike is sad, and confused because nothing is turning out how it's supposed to. his best friend, who he spent so little time with thanks to his desire to grow up and trying to be who he was supposed to, is moving away. his girlfriend, who just told him 'i love you' (and isn't he supposed to be happier?) is moving away too, and he has no opportunity to try to discover what all of this means because they're moving away.
so he enters this phase of repression, bottling up his feelings and isolation. and mike ends s3 AWARE that things arent as it seem, that there's something that hasn't clicked yet, because despite his awareness, he doesnt understand why. after all, he did everything he was supposed to, didnt he??
enter: mike and s4. by this point, i'm convinced mike is starting to realize a couple of things: he can't say i love you to el, and will DEFINITELY falls into a different category than the rest of his friends. his absence wights on him more than ever: hawkins isn't the same without will.
he's also hyper-aware of this difference and doesnt even want to THINK about it, so he falls into his perfect boyfriend persona again (failing). This is what gives us the awkward airport hug and the rink-o-mania fight: mike is trying really hard to ignore his feelings, but by ignoring them, they start becoming more and more obvious.
he tried to reach out to will but it didnt work. will didnt reach out. He's hurt, because will, who is special to him is apparently ignoring him, and suddenly will is in front of him asking "what about us?" and mike panics, because that is too close to his fears* and the list of things he doesn't understand and are better left alone, untouched.
and this is also one of the reasons he feels so self-deprecating and insecure: despite trying so hard, he can't be the person who he wished he was: a better, more loving boyfriend who can say i love you and truly mean it. a better friend, who doesn't get confusing feelings and cares maybe a bit too much, someone who doesn't overcompensate and ends up coming across as emotionally detached.
but hey, apparently there's a light at the end of the tunnel, because suddenly will is delivering his endearing, loving speech about all these feelings El has for him and it's exactly what he needed to hear, and for the first time in a long time, he feels loved, special, wanted.
Tumblr media
and isnt it amazing?? he's finally hit by such intense emotions: this is how you're supposed to feel about your girlfriend!
but, hey, wait a second. why is el ignoring him after his big love confession? why does it not feel right, despite how he felt back in the van?
these are thoughts he can revisit later, tho, as there are more important matters at hand: the end of the world is about to begin.
Tumblr media
so mike ends s4: A) aware he cares too much about will, thinking that maybe more than will cares about him (because he didnt reach out), so he should pretend he cares less...? but wait, no, he still wants his best friend back, despite everything. B) even more confused. why did he felt so loved by el back in the van? but why is she ignoring him now? shouldn't his speech bring them closer??
i believe mike has all the puzzle pieces right in front of him, he just hasnt put them together yet. But. But. That's why Will's lie, his painting, exists. It's the key, it's finding out the truth about the painting what mike needs to understand himself and what those around him have been feeling.
Tumblr media
when mike started developing feelings for will is up to interpretation. Personally, i believe there were hints that there might be something else by the end of s3, but they didn't fully develop until s4, because a glimpse of a feeling is easier to ignore when the person involved is across the country. And despite projecting his fears* onto will in s3, it's only in s4 that he starts acting different towards Will, behaving awkwardly. it's s4 when he feels undeniably loved by someone. it's s4 when he admits Will is different from the rest of his friends, to the point of not considering Hawkins home because Will is not there. It's s4 when we REALLY start seeing their friendship change into a more intimate, yet tense dynamic.
So, yeah, Will has always been it for Mike, but his feelings weren't always romantic, and that's the beautiful thing about it. We watched him develop feelings for will on screen. we watched their friendship change, evolve, and slowly grow into something else.
One of the reasons why i think mike is not fully aware yet, despite NOW HAVING romantic feelings for will, is the simple fact that he has NEVER considered it. Finn wolfhard himself said mike is clueless. he's unaware. He doesn't even see it as an option, but once he learns the truth, it'll become one.
This is where the Love Revelation Epiphany trope comes in:
Tumblr media
The Truth about the painting is Mike's Love Revelation Epiphany. He already had feelings for will, he has had them for a while, but for Mike, it was something confusing, something he couldn't understand. It's only the truth about the painting and the meaning behind it that makes him realize them. It'll be his clarity, the moment where it starts making sense.
When, where, and how is something i don't know and i wont try to predict. But Will's painting isnt only about him. It doesn't only portray his truth, it's also a representation of Mike's truth, the culmination of his character arc, the progression of his feelings throughout the show, and the key piece we need to understand both of them and their actions.

Thots on Kevin? (I miss my fucked up boy)
I also miss him its ok if we close our eyes and hope really hard-
But i have so many thoughts.
I really like how, hes like messed up and they keep those traits, like they never change him to make those traits rlly go away, but you get more info and learn little things about him. Its just neat i like how he doesnt Change, but you still kinda get endeared to him!
Another thing is, i know why people ship him and carlos, because of the DOW Ep with them, but personally i think he's just bpd-ing, expecially because its not like, dangerous or unhealthy either. He just gets sad when Carlos leaves him. Fp leaving would make him sad. I personally see it as carlos is one of his /p fps!
Grips the plot point of The Smiling god rebuilding him whenever he dies vs Huntokar replacing cecil. Thats a whole nother post tho.
I saw a post abt this a while ago and idk it stuck with me which was, Cecil unlearned/questions the things that were drilled into him growinf up, because of Carlos, who is a scientist and therefor questions Everything, but Kevin Will not, because Charles is a theologist, aka he studies God, aka the smiling god. He'll never unlearn/question it because Charles wont.
I really just love perma smiling character designs, or characters who are smiling until something Really hits them hard. Idk im sure theres a mental illness/trauma reason behind that kne but!!
And to finish off!!! In the episode where we hear from Pre-Strex Kevin, i couldn't help but think, When Strex was taking over night vale but they fought back and WON, was he envious? His town tried to as well but they failed, and probably assumed it couldnt be done, so when Night Vale did it, how did he feel? Did it hurt him? Does he even Remember Desert Bluffs fighting back?
Anyways thag ks all for now ive been writing for 20 mins and i need to get home from work! Ty for askimf tho hes sooo special to me:) there r more thoughts abt him tho

Hmmmmm, how about Barry? For the verse character thing.
barry! my very first rival! though i went with one of his other generic names and picked like. tyson for whatever reason. idk. 9 year old me was an enigma.
anyways that's to say, he has a special place in my heart the silly little kiddo
under a cut bc this, again, got super long
so to start with barry, we need to start with palmer. he and chryssas dad (henceforth referred to as cd since he doesn't have an actual name yet...) were both from twinleaf and dreamed of becoming great trainers.
and they did! palmer made it to the champion level, though being champion bored him so he quit after a bit. when plans to build a battle frontier in sinnoh popped up, he jumped at the chance to join.
cd eventually became a ranger which he was good at, but killed him in a freak accident. a lot of turbulent emotions for palmer--his best friend died the same week his son was born.
that's all relevant because it led to barry being childhood friends with chryssa and lucas whenever his dad was around... and then chased off by johanna whenever he was at the battle frontier.
cd's death shattered johanna and she partly blamed palmer. she'd never say that to his face, but she did kinda take it out on barry as a proxy.
as a result, barry had a weird time with his best friend (lucas). they could only spend time together at school or when johanna wasn't looking.
barry, despite his extroversion, was a very lonely kid. he couldn't see lucas that often and both of his parents worked busy schedules. palmer spent 5 days of the week at the battle frontier while his mom (who I should really also name) was a teacher who was constantly busy.
he had a lot of trouble making friends at school. he was a bit too extroverted yknow? tolerated at best as a class clown. lucas was basically the only person who actually liked him. (even chryssa basically tolerated him at best lol)
that left barry with a lot of time on his own. to most people's surprise, he actually spent a lot of that time studying! battling of course, not schoolwork. he studied video of his father or cynthia or whoever, went to the library to learn strategy, went by the high school to watch the older kids casually battle.
so, obviously, he couldnt wait to go on his journey! he just needed to wait for palmer to get him the perfect starter : )
...yea. he uh didnt. palmer knew barry wanted a pokemon but was also away from barry a lot. being home reminded him, but a lack of object permeance is mayhaps a family trait. barry ended up getting his starter from professor rowan.
which barry isn't bitter about at all! he's lying
barry really does love his daddy. he looks up to him as the coolest, greatest, awesomest person on the planet. the fact that palmer doesnt seem to be aware of how deep barry's admiration goes stings juuuust a tiny bit.
but he was on his journey now! and he had a rival in chryssa! (lucas was a boring nerd who worked under professor rowan)
....except chryssa avoided him. and turned down all of his offers to battle when he did find her. and the very few timea they did battle, she absolutely crushed him.
barry's journey was maybe a bit lonelier than expected.
but then he got a chance to study under crasher wake! ignore that wake didnt seem to want him around like everyone else! he was going to be as strong as his dad and this was going to help!
....if team galactic doesnt blow up sinnoh first. barry, despite a desire to help, doesn't get much done. he couldn't stop team galactic from blowing up the great marsh. he couldn't stop jupiter from taking uxie. he couldnt even make it to the peak of mt coronet in time to help there.
barry felt a bit useless and superfluous. he's strong, yea, but what's the point? he hasnt gotten his dads attention, he cant keep his friends, he cant make new ones, he cant help out.....
and uh. this is about where i am for barry. one of the things on my to do list for potential sinnoh fic is wrap up barry's plot line. have him talk to his dad, deal with his growing inferiority complex, all that. its one of those things i feel will be easier after actually writing it, alas, so I don't have much more to say.
but some other barry stuff!
adhd king as we all know
starts dating lucas as an adult. when they tell chryssa, she just kind of stares at them and says she thought theyd been dating for the past 5 years.
does make up with his dad and have a good conversation about everything. palmer never meant to make barry feel bad (and feels quite bad hinself for doing so on accident) and tries to make it up to him
eventually becomes a frontier brain? i have him as taking over from argenta but I'm not 100% married to that specific concept. i kinda want to see what others have for barry before definitively picking something
and that's barry! yay!

*stokes the fire* Aporia
thinking about that tweet that's like "i like your funny reply friend! you'll be buried in my pyramid with me when i die"--that's how i feel with you delightful anons who give me excuses to Go Bananas About Aporia. said with so much love in my heart. thank you <3
favorite thing about them: GOD. THERE REALLY IS SO MUCH. Of course I love his design, it's absolutely bonkers in the best way--if you told me two years ago there was a nine foot tall monster robot yugioh character with angel symbolism out the ass i would have been like EXCUSE ME. HELLO. *RUNNING OVER* but also!! his arc is just fucking GOOD. he's just this sad and complex and angry and miserable old old old man in a robot werelion body who's actually three people who are actually just one person. peak yugioh villain nonsense i absolutely adore it. and i LOVE when villains have the face turn and fight back against the Big Bad as much as they can. it goes hard!!! (but also, specific small thing thats one of my favorite things about him--it's like, very implied despite being Gigantic he's fairly dexterous and gentle with how he handles things?? Always grabbing his tiny cards very delicately and doings little tricks with them and in tag force 6 (Citizen Kane for Insane Aporia Girlies) he actively tells you the protagonist that he doesnt make mistakes with how much force to use with things (being a machine and all.) idk it's just very cute to me. it's a sweet detail.)
least favorite thing about them: pained smile. big man proper's literally only in.....about 9-10 episodes total??? <:) crying. wailing. my kingdom for a SLIVER of more screentime. it's also a shame like. 2/3s of his episodes never got dubbed, I would have absolutely adored to see what the dubbed version would have looked like!! (especially since those eps include like. my Favorite 5ds duels. it'd be like having two whole cakes babey!!!!)
favorite line: ok im restraining myself from picking something from Tag Force because all of his dialogue in TF6 makes me sick in the head and i love it but I WILL PICK. SOMETHING FROM THE ANIME. LIKE A NORMAL PERSON. god. it's gotta be these.
Tumblr media
also "I was imprisoned by my feelings, so you can have my feelings" which he says immediately before this, also to Z-ONE. A.) theyre just raw as hell, B.) ooohhhh my god ohhhh my fucking godddddd he loved him so fucking muuuuuch buy my fucking SILENCE
brOTP: when people draw him being friends with leo and/or luna i get soooooo soft ;_____; my kingdom for an AU where aporia got to live and could interact with them for once not under the pretenses of needing to Kill Team 5Ds. WAUUGH. also i guess brotp adjacent but him interacting with his embodiments is so fucking funny and it's apparently just me and the tag force devs who see and know the truth on that.
OTP: ooouugh...oughhhhh you Know im talking bout those old old men!!!!! i am #1 absolute adorer of the Iliaster Four Stars Peepaw Polycule (Aporia/Z-one/Paradox/Antinomy) we know this we know this. but special mention to my most favorite combo of that of all, my beloved Z-ONE/Aporia. see above. it doesnt even have a damn ship name 🤪they just!!!! make me absolutely fucking insane. theyre married theyre divorced theyre god and his most devoted archangel theyre old friends theyre a Fleetwood Mac album and theyre EVERYTHING TO ME!!!!!!! the second i get over worrying about being annoying i will Not shut up about them even more!!!!!
nOTP: i think if you ship with rua/leo you should go to jail and then directly to hell immediately after <3
random headcanon: Aporia Aporiaaaa my beloved bisexual italian/cuban autistic nonbinary dadgirl. i think in another life where he wasnt Extremely Fucked Up and Died Like Five Times he could have been good with kids. also. i think in the implied fixed future where the Four Stars get to live normally he would be a furry. him and eurea both. furcon couple
unpopular opinion: he's a GOOD CHARACTER!!!! HE AND THE EPISODES HE'S IN HAVE MERIT!!!!!! NOBODY BUT LIKE MAYBE 12 PEOPLE GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS GUY BUT HE ROCKS AND I THINK MORE PEOPLE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HIM!!!!!!! drawing my big sword (draw tablet) I Will Make Them Know About Him. >:)c
song i associate with them: i, dana "the mountain goats lover" ninetales of course. keep finding tmg songs to associate with characters. And Genesis 30:3 is one of my favorite songs for Aporia, especially re: his dynamic with Z-ONE. "I will do what you ask me to do/Because of how I feel about you." IS SO!!! MUFFLED WAILING.
favorite picture of them: oh man. *slams my giant briefcase of aporia screenshots down on the table* ok. ok let's see. just ONE favorite? alright. ok. i got this. hm. this one i think
Tumblr media
A.) aaauuughh i love his 'broken' form i need to draw it sometimes....the Moment energy lines...... B.) TINY TINY FUCKING CARDS!!!!, C.) this is from the exact moment where something in my brain clicked and was like "oh. oh this guy is in my head now for real. maybe i do fuck with his design" and. well. things snowballed <3

i LOVE how resi6 leon is like clearly overwhelmed but not upset. that man hasnt received that level of genuine affection from anyone in YEARS if not ever and he doesnt know how to process it (my poor pookie <3<3).
dude the more i see ur art the more the brainworms start acting up lol!! keep it up and im gonna keep pestering you over the brainworms!
honestly though the best time/verse for any other leon to be sent (that isnt yanno, no evil residence) is def DI leon bc he Knows the struggle (and chris. chris too.) and he absolutely is the support he needs lmaoo (i just love di leon <3 something about finding happiness after his awful vendetta spiral is just <3)
i wanna join resi6 leon and be spoiled by di leon now 😔
🐕
Oh yeah! He's overwhelmed, especially being between two people-- RE6 had been a little scared at first, but he warmed up to them both. Though he is kinda stuck with them LOL! Keep pestering me with the brainworms. I love to hear about them! They're always fun... I plan on doing more along with my BOW Leon ((which is the same RE6 Leon that i've been drawing this whole time. He's very special to me, even if he's sorta custom!))) Yeah, I thought DI would make the most sense to send him because they're not crazy close together (like Vendetta would be to RE6) and it would be a more interesting dynamic all around. I thought about angst with it, but ended up cutting it because it would've been too dark. Though the two Leons do fight when they meet because of RE6 being stuck in fight or flight mode when he's brought to their world. Chris, DI Leon, and RE6 Leon (Who i've occasionally dubbed as "Scotty" or just "Kenny") would be good support to each other. The two Leons are different in many ways and its something that all of them have to work through. Chris sometimes steps on some toes as well as the two Leons. Its nothing crazy. RE6 also is confused and nervous around DI Chris as well as the rest of the DI Crew. RE6 misses where he came from and isnt sure how to get back. Also he's terrified of his... enhancements being revealed. I love the aspect of healing post-Vendetta offers and DI Leon looks so much healthier and happier overall-- at least compared to how he'd been in Vendetta.
There's always room for one more! You might have to be patient with RE6... He's a little shy.

i finished reading tomorrow x3 recently and was not a fan either. for a lot of the same reasons as you like the characters were unlikable and the author only told us that they were best friends and loved each other but there was not a lot/any proof of that in the book. their arguments were boring + repetitive + and just not rlly that serious imo. didn’t think marx needed to die it didn’t really add anything to the plot or character arcs but also wasn’t that upset about it tbh. author is a massive fan of tell not show. ummm think that may be all
god yeah um. spoilers for anyone who hasnt read it so ill hide beneath the cut xo
have been talking about it to liv and only now im relaying it am i realising QUITE how fucking insane it all was sbdfdshgsdjs. the characters were AWFUL. they were simultaneously horrifically unrealistic and also just the worst people i loathed sam and sadie so much and marx was just. there? being generally happy and two dimensional? did not care when he died even a little i was still reeling from how drastically ridiculous the plot had become like what are you even talking about. everything went so hilariously off the rails. the book is about relationships and friendship in particular and yet sadie and marx's romance was a lifeless afterthought and sam and sadie's friendship was genuinely nonexistent other than the author telling us guys, they were such special friends! the book's main conflict hinges on one bizarre, random chapter where sadie rethinks everything sam has ever done and decides hm, i hate him now. and we're meant to just go with that. and then sadie has a baby for absolutely no reason, that even she doesnt seem to care about? the book ends on like a lukewarm nothing of a reconciliation (as you say, making marx's death completely pointless and ridiculous), no one has exhibited even the smallest iota of character growth. simon and ant have three lines and then we're expected to give the slightest shit about their wedding? like genuinely why on earth would i care about that? the last one hundred and fifty or so pages were just. appalling. i think it has to come down to the fact that zevin is just an absolutely awful writer with a premise that couldve been wonderful.

tenamy anon ☝️ i was wondering if in your vision for them amy was here when he regenerates into eleven or the angel thing happened before that. if its the latter then i think the doctor's "seeing" her for the last time while dying would go even crazier, imagine like she's touching his face while he still says he doesnt wanna go
OMG TENAMY ANON I MISSED YOU, MWAH MWAH! I hope you don't mind me rambling.
I always imagined Amy would leave before Ten regenerated. Punch him while he's down and convulsing on the floor, you know? He would experience the loss of another companion being ripped away from him. I think it would invoke some Doomsday flashbacks, where he is helpless as he can never see his beloved companion again. This time however, you get the comfort and the curse of the build up. Unlike Doomsday, it is Amy's choice, and more hauntingly he has to stand there and allow it.
YOUR VISION! HEARTBREAKING! I share it too, I'm not sure what would happen for him to regenerate, but to come into his TARDIS (like TEOT) scared of dying to see Amy, and while he's glowing golden, her hand is on his face soothing him. I think he'd actually start crying rather than just teary eyes, not only because he would die with someone (I think he this he deserves after all he's done), but he'd be aware she isn't real. When the Doctor regenerates he tells people to stand back because it would hurt them, but he would allow her ghost to touch him as he dies. Maybe he'd even reach his flaming hand out to her face like Eleven did, for extra heartbreak factor. He'd be scared he might hurt her but does it anyway, which I think would capture their whole hypothetical dynamic (never listen to About You by The 1975 while imagining this, I'm tearing up at this shit).
I think it would also be tragic on his end, to have to live without her. I feel like if Ten specially was Amy's Doctor, I'm not sure how he'd react to that. Defiantly not well. We have seen Ten lose companions, and when he can't fix it he typically goes full on god-complex. Not sure how you see their timeline tenamy anon, but I see him going through his post-TLV arc with her. Because fuck it, I love TLV, I think Ten is at his most interesting when he is being an arse. Would Amy make him better or worse? There's a case for both.
Going back to the other vision you said about Amy seeing him regenerate into Eleven, I think that would basically be a sort of tenrose but worse (in a good way). Eleven's companion is Amy Pond and that is a fact, so in this hypothetical tenamy au, he would either be born out of a sense of devotion to her or be born out of mourning for her. I find the mourning more interesting, though. Eleven would be Amy's ideal match (born into the role), but he would also be completely aware her death is a fixed point. The base of his identity is shattered and gone because no matter how much he yearns for it, Amy can never come back.
Sorry if i rambled too much, I hope you don't completely hate what I see. Living tenamy would be cosmic joy, fucked up borderline religion towards each other punctuated by the repeated spiritual murder-suicide. Dying tenamy would be loss of innocence, identity issues and devastation. Because they'd know its coming, they are just doing everything to delay the inevitable. The Doctor runs away, and she'd get the chance to run with him, but eventually everything he is running from will catch up to her (like it does everyone) drag her away, leaving him running alone. Unlike others, Amy would know she was going to be dragged away and accepted it with open arms.
Tenamy anon, please I am begging you to impart your visions (and future ones) onto me. We are like the only two tenamy's in the world and we need to stick together. This inspired me, so I'm going to do something tenamy related now. Take care!!
