on twitter, a viral thread started where people around the world shared their translations of “If I must die”, the last work of Dr Refaat Alareer also known as "the voice of Gaza". A beloved poet, teacher and life-long activist for Palestine, he was recently assassinated along with members of his extended family by a targeted Israeli air strike. His loss leaves a hole in the heart of palestinians all over the world.

Below the cut, I’ll be posting the translations of his poem, with links to the original posts. Unfortunately, tumblr limits posts to a maximum of 30 images. I will update when I can.

Not only there was most of an episode focused on a gay couple, but an older gay couple. They loved each other very much and took care of each other and lived a domestic life until the end. That's so rare to see in media, considering hollywood's ageism and homophobia problems, and on the current most popular HBO show on top of that.

them flip flopping the original roles of this scene is making me feel demented. the added lu ten funeral scene adds the perfect parallel and depth to it: lu ten gave his medal to zuko to serve as comfort and determination to zuko when ozai was mad at him, yet zuko gave it up to comfort iroh after lu ten died. and then sat with him through the funeral when nobody else was. and now zuko's the one heading into what's basically a suicide mission and yet he takes the initiative to console iroh by telling him lu ten would be proud to have him as a father. this is sick work and i'm gonna be haunted by it for the next 30 days and 30 nights
