Thinking about the Hetalia actor au and how cute and funny itd be if Arthur and Peter were actually father and son. And in scenes where England is being stern with Sealand it has to be reshot about 10 times max before its good enough because Arthur just feels bad for being so stern with his son! He doesn’t like to yell at Peter, he’s the fun parent, being the mean parent is his (ex) wife’s job! “You okay, buddy? I didn’t hurt you’re feelings or nothing, right? You know I love you, yeah?” “Dad I know we’re acting, you’re thinking too much about it. I’m fine.”

They originally thought they weren’t going to find any identical twins perfect for the roles of America and Canada, they’d have to settle for fraternal twins which wasn’t original idea in the first place. Or just one actor and kind of do that technique they do to portray twins. But then Mathew and Alfred walked in, tried out, and they were just perfect. Exactly what they were looking for. Except it was the biggest mistake ever because these two are the biggest pranksters on set. They’re menaces.

Ludwig initially tried for the Germany role because his agent figured this show isn’t going to surpass more than 2 seasons at most. It’s a good paycheck and could possibly open up more opportunities in the industry. His previous roles were as extras in several shows and he voice acted in one cartoon for a couple years, too, but that wasn’t a lot especially when both the show and the cartoon were pretty obscure, it’s why they both ran for only a couple seasons no one was watching them. Anyway, Germany and his agent agreed that at least maybe this could get him more roles elsewhere after the series inevitably gets cancelled. Well it didn’t. And he doesn’t regret acting on the show whatsoever. His favorite episodes to film were probably the ones where he was stuck on the island plus the Buon San Valentino episode lol.

I'm not one to just move on so easily from a passion I've had for over a decade. There may be more active fandoms, but I can't quite use them the same way I can with this one.

Even if I really love a story and its characters, a lot of times the most I'm inspired to do with it is draw a picture. I'm typically not that interested in roleplaying or writing a fic because I don't have enough to add that I would be motivated to write a story for. There aren't always many blanks to fill unless I'm super invested in some kind of ship, which doesn't usually happen.

Sure you can do AUs, but Hetalia just feels better made for them?

Something like Death Note is self-contained and told its story. Hetalia can literally encompass all of time. There's no end because history is ongoing.

When it comes to The Hunger Games, something like an actor AU is so far removed from the story. It often feels like canon universes are just too ingrained in the characters, so that if you remove them they lose a major piece of who they are.

The characters in HG are mainly seen under pressure and intense situations, and it could be hard to convert their trauma into a normal world actor AU. Even if it's in the same dystopian universe and you just alter circumstances, making the characters professional actors could cause them to be too different.

One might think that's the case with Hetalia, as countries are bound to be different from humans, but in the source material they are shown in both historical and completely normal situations. Hetalia is full of all kinds of things, every part of life, both serious and not. We get to see them act like regular people, and that's the sort of thing that gives us an idea of how they would be in other universes. We even have canon AUs.

Even with nationverse, there are so many blanks to fill and details to add, because Hima can't possibly add everything.

Hetalia has some amazing potential and perks. It may not be the only fandom that allows for extra creativity, but it still feels pretty unique and special.

I can easily get into other shows/movies/etc., but getting into their fandoms to this level is an entirely different story. Sure, you can be creative in any fandom if you really try, but Hetalia just lets it happen so naturally.

How much Hima has to do with the Hetalia musicals? When they write the script or screenplay do they consult his opinion and does he give any advice for the story or the characters?

I absolutely love them

I'm not sure. I have never watched the musicals besides some clips (mea culpa, I will eventually! I'm just not a fan of musicals in general so I have to force myself a bit to sit down and focus on it while I wait to get hooked), so I can't really "eyeball" Hima's involvement in it. I tried searching for a complete list of the cast and production members but I couldn't find it :/

I am pretty sure Himaruya was consulted though, he probably didn't have much power over the plots and production per se, but he most likely had a say in whether something was too OOC or something he didn't want to be associated with. But Hima in general seems to be a pretty open and welcoming person when it comes to AUs, fan-projects and the like, so it's no surprise that he would approve of things that may look a bit weird in the strict context of his comic (like the major plot point of Hetamyu characters embodying political beliefs of each age rather than being subject to them via bosses like in the manga and anime).

He also supports Hetamyu since he shared stuff about it before on Twitter and gifted the actors with autographed shikishi of their role characters, like these:

For the actual ask portion:

Altaïr would probably be annoyed at Uzui at first because he’s so flashy. They’d probably spar and Altaïr would start to respect him after understanding that, underneath all that ‘flashiness’, Uzui is strong and has conviction (side note: Uzui’s three wives makes me think Makio - Maria, Hinatsuru - Adha and Suma - Kadar XD)

Ezio would think of Sanemi as having skills and potential but he won’t like his attitude. AC2!Ezio would definitely butt heads with Sanemi a lot, especially after he sees how Sanemi acts around his younger brother (since he doesn’t know the whole story) and he’d definitely try to act like a nice big brother to Genya, Brotherhood!Ezio and Revelations!Ezio would not be provoked by Sanemi and act more like an older brother/mentor role that Sanemi doesn’t want at all and thinks is super annoying.

Haganezuka would totally like Ratonhnhaké:ton because Ratonhnhaké:ton would take care of any weapon he receives from Haganezuka. Ratonhnhaké:ton will also be willing to listen to Haganezuka talk about swords for houurrrss. Achilles would have to be the one to smack Haganezuka to get out of the homestead after giving Ratonhnhaké:ton his sword. (Why is Achilles there? Idk, crossover???)

All I can think of is Arno getting adopted by the Kamado family. Tanjuro is quite frail and he’s been sick for a while now so their meeting would probably remind Arno of his late father. But, man, just imagine Arno dancing Hinokami Kagura…

Oh god. Enmu would totally fuck with Jacob using his dreams/nightmares. Like, every pain and weakness Jacob has, Enmu would take advantage of it. Worst of all? Jack the Ripper's actions would definitely haunt Jacob till the day he dies so Enmu using Jack in the attack would really hurt. Enmu wasn’t even a good person as a human but considering Jacob’s luck and bad judge of character? Absolutely won’t be surprised if he invites human!Enmu to the Rooks as a ‘doctor’.

I think Bayek has a good chance of taking out Yahaba. Dude got an actual flaming sword in the main story and I’m sure Reda would have a weapon made of Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Ore for some reason and, as long as Bayek understood how Yahaba’s blood demon art works, he’d be fine. Bayek took out giant gods (in the Animus), he can take out this demon.

Oh, Aya would not like Daki at all. She might even be reminded of Cleopatra a bit because of her arrogant and dismissive personality which wouldn’t help the situation. They’d definitely fight and… Aya would probably need help on this one. I’m not sure if she ever got into any Isu BS that ended in a boss fight so I can’t be sure how she would handle fighting Daki and her obi attacks. Human!Daki though? Aya would definitely recruit her and her brother to the Hidden Ones if she found them as kids. But if she saw her as her usual cruel self? Yeah, Aya’s not going to like her.

if i ever rp in a v*vz*epop related fandom please assume ive been murdered and replaced by an evil doppelganger. i dont think theres any others im really like hard set on except for shit like. idk. hetalia. like stuff i dont really vibe with. i dont know if k*ll*ng st*lking fans still exist but as someone w bpd i dont wanna be around that shit either. i think those are the only really hard ones, im fine roleplaying with most fandoms even if i dont know many of them lmao

and yes this includes genshin. one day ill make a genshin au. sorry genshin haters the lesbians intrigued me

im more frustrated than salty atm tbh because tumblr is being DEMONIC and not letting me paste things. and also i think my mouse is fucking up. starts exploding violently but also im listening to bombshell blonde by owl city so maybe im normal a bit. who the fuck am i kidding no im not

SO. something that irks me personally is the whole... "dni if you use deceased faceclaims" thing? like i get it in terms of comfort, that's totally valid, but when people try to justify it in a moral sense i feel like it just loops back around to being rude? like i saw a post quadbillion years ago talking about how it's immoral to use deceased faceclaims because "they're dead and we're using them for personal gain rather than respect" and "they didn't consent to being used for this" but like. that literally also goes for faceclaims that are currently actually alive lmao. at least in terms of like, actors it feels almost... disrespectful? to be like yeah you can't acknowledge their past works because they're dead. like what. i think in the same post i saw someone say like, they saw people using in an rp circle for some tv show continuing to use the same fc after the actor had died, and it's like. idk, i feel like itd actually be pretty shitty to change the face of a character just because their actor died, especially when actors tend to have very personal relationships to their characters and keep a part of themselves in them.

so that's my hot take. i get it but also i think its stupid

Hetalia Polyship Week 2022: Day 1

Author’s Note: This is based on an au we discussed in my gereng server where engportfra are actors all pursuing set builder Ludwig while also being in a throuple themselves. Also, I like to think Francis uses he/they pronouns so I switch between those pronouns.

Curtain Call

The wings of the stage were buzzing with energy, for in a mere few hours, the curtains would rise, and the open night would commence. Ludwig put the final nail in the window frame he had been working on. At least it had fallen apart during the dress rehearsal and not the actual show. He just had to oil the wheels on one of the moving set pieces and check the other two to make sure they were still in working order, then they’d be good to go. 

Hopefully, with the show coming to an end, Ludwig would finally be free of all the confusing feelings that had arisen during production. The thought was both a relief, but it also kind of hurt. To have three actors pursuing you definitely was overwhelming and made Ludwig’s job a lot harder, it was nice to be the center of attention for once, and over this time, he got to know his three suitors; he would miss them when they all went their separate ways. 

He’d miss Arthur's nagging. Although it was annoying at times, it was nice to know someone cared enough to bring him water and make sure he was eating. He’d miss the way Arthur’s eyes would light up as he tried too hard to hide his smiles behind scowls. And most of all he’d miss the subtle compliments and flirty remarks that would rival the language used by poets of the past.

He’d miss Francis’s affection the most, he thinks. The way they’d hang off Ludwig as if it was the most normal thing in the world, how they would always greet him with a warm embrace and part with one even warmer. He’d miss the way Francis’s curls framed their face perfectly, always appearing so soft to the touch (but Ludwig would now never know if that was true). And though he was often overwhelmed by Francis’s forwardness when it came to flirting, he did appreciate the food they made, and he’d be lying if he said Francis’s compliments hadn’t boosted his confidence ever so slightly.

Lastly, he’d miss Afonso’s calmness. The way he could remain relaxed yet level-headed during even the most stressful situations and the way he would comfort Ludwig in the carpenter’s own stress. He’d miss the sweet, gentle nothings Afonso would occasionally whisper when Ludwig was burnt out and needed the pick-me-up. But the most he would miss the rare sight of Afonso focused: tightly knit brows, spark in his eye as he looked over his scripts, pulling any and all information to boost his performance.

As Ludwig pulled away from the last squeaky wheel, he came face to face with the three actors who had been consuming his thoughts. 

Arthur was dressed in a fiery red coat that just reached his knees, with golden stitching along the edges. Golden chains and earrings, striking red eyeshadow, and dark eyeliner accented the outfit. A leather corset wrapped around his middle gave the otherwise fearsome look an alluring aura. To top it all off, a pirate cap adorned with pale feathers. An outfit befitting of both a seductive yet dangerous pirate captain. 

Francis in turn was fitting in a frilly blouse and a pale blue coat that reached the floor. It was as if the stars had been taken and threaded into the fabric itself with the way it glittered with every small movement. His hat was a greyish white, decorated with dried flowers instead of the traditional feathers. He was dripping in jewelry and gems: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, all of which matched Francis’s eyes. The sparkly look was complete with purple eyeshadow with a hint of glitter. He looked like royalty despite being a mere pirate captain. 

Afonso was dressed in a nobleman’s coat. Darker green vine patterns wrapped around the torso and sleeves, meeting with the silver stitched pattern on the edge of the collars and cuffs. His hair was tied back by a matching ribbon, giving a clear view of his face. His natural features were amplified by simple makeup instead of the brightly coloured blends of Arthur and Francis, yet he was nonetheless beautiful. An elegant nobleman if there ever was one. 

Ludwig felt his whole face burn seeing them decked out in their costumes. All he could do was stare, unable to form a coherent thought in their presence. It was as if he was back to the very first time the three had begun flirting with him.  

Francis’s giggling shook Ludwig from his daze. Arthur shoved the Frenchman. “What?” Francis asked with feigned offense, “He probably thinks we look pretty. So much so he’s been left speechless.”

“Or he’s thinking: ‘thank god I’m not you,’” Arthur shot back, gesturing to the other’s costume. “You’re going to melt under all those damn frills.” 

“Aw are you concerned mon amour?”

Arthur’s face turned bright red, but if looks could kill, that glare would have ended Francis on the spot. Luckily before things could escalate. Afonso stepped between the two. “Now, now, meus amores, we have more important business here right? We’re going to scare him off like this.”

Wait… ‘mon amour’ and ‘meus amores’? Ludwig may not have been well versed in French or Portuguese, but he knew Italian well, and those sounded like…

“So…” Afonso went on, “I don’t know if you’ve realized what we’ve been trying to do, but with us parting ways soon, we’ve decided to just come out as say…”

“We love you,” Francis continued. 

“All of us,” Arthur added.

“Romantically,” Afonso concluded for clarity. 

So they did fancy him. It was quite obvious to everyone (including Ludwig) that these three actors had liked him romantically, but hearing it laid out so clearly still made Ludwig’s head spin. Perhaps part of the shock came from the fact that it appeared all three of the actors were dating as well. “Wait…Are all of you…”

“Together?” Francis finished for him, “Yes. Yes, we are.” To prove the point he took Afonso’s hand and gave it a squeeze. 

“I’m surprised you didn’t know sooner, it’s all over the tabloids,” Arthur noted. 

“But what we are trying to get at is that we want to invite you into it,” Afonso explained. 

Ludwig awkwardly opened and closed his mouth, trying to find what he wanted to say. It was a dream come true. Over this production, he had fallen in love with all three of them and couldn’t bear to choose only one of them. But with this revelation, he could have it all, and everyone would be happy. 

“Love,” Arthur spoke softly, stepping forward to put a hand on Ludwig’s arm. “You don’t have to make a decision now. You’ve got time to think. We just wanted–”

“I’d love to,” Ludwig blurted out. His blush surely darkened as he realized how desperate he sounded. “I-I mean…I’d like that…I have feelings for all of you so…”

The three actors looked at Ludwig with wide eyes. “Well then…guess it’s settled,” Francis said with an amused huff. “Perhaps we can have dinner after the show tonight.”

Ludwig nodded, perhaps a bit too eagerly. 

“Ten minutes till curtain,” someone shouted in the distance. 

“Well I guess this is farewell until intermission,” Arthur sighed.

The three bid farewell to Ludwig, giving the German the much-needed time to process everything. But as he waved to the actors as they departed, Ludwig couldn’t suppress a wide grin from spreading on his face.

Have a bunch of sketches and little drawings I did for it without explanation. I had to just take it out of my system but if you got any interest on it I guess I can tell more later xd
