This interview confirmed
The point of the wilds era games is showcasing mechanics, the 'core' of both games was to build and walk around
There will be no DLC
There will not be another direct sequel
The ultrahand will not continue in future games
The timeline is intentionally unclear to make the game accessible for new fans and the development process (tl;dr All Zelda games are intentionally AUs to a degree)
The producer and director both deny intentional references to prior games in the story, but then say that these similarities represent the soul of the series and the overall myth of The Legend of Zelda (pick a lane)?
The timeline doesn't matter, outside of specific sets of games it's irrelevant on purpose. Whatever you think about the timeline is correct. Continuity is not the point. Maintaining the form while creating something new is the point.
Fujibayashi really only cares about mechanics and Aunoma is totally cool with that

it's been like half a year but I'm still thinking about what a queer teen mood Darcy's outfit was in this pic. The rainbow scrunchie. The nb shirt. The pan tie-dye. It's such a mood to go "I don't care if they clash or not, heck I don't even care if I personally identify as all of these, they're all pride flag themed, and I WILL wear them together to show how aggressively queer I am".
And on a more somber note it's the fact that clothes like these are subtle enough that your parents/any adults you're closeted to probably won't notice (which if I recall right Darcy was still closeted to parents who she Knew weren't fully safe to come out to). And if they did ask her about any of those clothes individually she still had the plausible deniability of saying she just "liked the color scheme" like I'm sure many of us have said to cover up pride flag colored belongings before. But to other queer people? To her supportive and loving queer friend group? And most importantly to herself? They all know it's queer-themed, and they're the only ones who truly need to recognize it as queer.
And that's all that matters.

so instead of trying to get everyone together to play dnd and commit to a night per month or something, i’m going to have my sister and nephew create characters and then design them a short, casual adventure. i never really intended to be dm, but i’m a writer and also i have the most time and energy to do the harder bit of the setup. it’s also nice and low-pressure with just the three of us playing, so i’m not stressed. i’m having ideas! it actually sounds really fun to create the game for them to explore and keep it balanced and fun for them. now i just have to do everything and wait for the right timing to play, which shouldn’t take long

okay, I didn't manage to come up with any better ideas, so I'm legit going to buy 2 lbs of ground beef (or maybe ground chicken, it's sometimes cheaper) and make 2 boxes hamburger helper for next two weeks. and then chop up some veggies and have veggies and dip to balance out the sodium and carbs.
for expo-time snacks I'm gonna use up the nuts in my cupboard and pay a visit to the bulk barn and make a trail mix.
