Hello, Great Sand Dunes! (Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve) by Mark Stevens
Via Flickr:
A captured image looking to the northwest while hiking to High Dune in Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve. The composition of this image involved a few thoughts on my part. One was the fact that I had hiked most of the way to High Dune but still had quite a bit more sand dune ridges to still walk and finish. The “ant people” I felt helped give a perspective that might be missed in this setting. The other thing was the contrast of colors between the more earth tone ones in the lower part of the image with the sand dunes and the bluer ones in the upper portion with the skies. Both work together as a complement for this national park setting. I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLab 3. I then exported a TIFF image to Nik Color Efex Pro 4 where I added a Polarization and Pro Contrast filter for that last effect on the image captured.
“I think Timothée is a very talented actor. I can see the difference between Part One and Part Two in a sense that he now owns the role in a different way. Which is beautiful, because that’s what the book is about as well. Now he has to own that role. He as an actor, he’s so elastic and flexible. He can jump from drama to comedy to depth to light in seconds. It’s beautiful to be near him. It’s beautiful to be in front of him and see his process. And also, as young as he is, it’s great energy that he brings to the set. He really puts you in one of the greatest moods.”
-Javier Bardem praising and talking about working with Timothée Chalamet on ‘Dune: Part Two’

A Colorful Sunset Is a Pretty Way to End a Day of Travel (Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve) by Mark Stevens
Via Flickr:
This was a view looking to the north west across the dried up Medano Creek and then sand dunes of the national park. I had arrived an hour or so before sunlight, so I was definitely fortunate and blessed with the timing of a sunset. I had captured a few images as the sun dipped below the higher elevations of the sand dunes, but did not appreciate how the blown around sand would create the colorful display I would then experience. So I didn't blow any of the colorful highlights, I made certain to expose the image for the image upper portion. I later worked with control points and graduated filters in DxO PhotoLab 3 and then made some adjustments to bring out the contrast, saturation and brightness I wanted for the final image.
“He took every kid’s hand who came. He took a photograph with everybody who asked him, which was pretty much everyone. That was about his heart. But he’s also very savvy about marketing. He gets very engaged and brings ideas to the table.”
-Wonka producer David Heyman talking about Timothée’s idea to screen ‘Wonka’ to the children of After-School All-Stars
“I can’t imagine any other actor on the planet who could have played Willy Wonka and have the success that ‘Wonka’ had. You need everything to work in today’s world. IP alone is not sufficient. He [Timothée] wants to win, he knows how to win and he asks the right questions. He respects and cares about his fans. He feels a responsibility toward them.”
-Josh Goldstine, Warner Bros. president of worldwide marketing
“We can count on one or two hands, in any age range, the people who are legitimate movie stars. Timothée is absolutely that.”
