Arranging Your Home with Hedged Boxes
Arranging your home with hinged boxes is an excellent way to combine functionality with style. Hinged boxes are versatile storage solutions that can help you keep your space organized while adding a touch of elegance to your decor. Here are some creative ideas on how to use hinged boxes to enhance the arrangement of your home.
1. Optimize Storage in Living Areas Hinged boxes are perfect for living rooms or common areas where you need to store items like remote controls, magazines, or small electronics. Choose boxes that match your interior decor—whether it’s a wooden box with rustic charm or a sleek, modern design. Placing a hinged box on a coffee table or side table allows easy access to essentials while keeping the space clutter-free.
2. Organize Your Bedroom In the bedroom, hinged boxes can be used to store jewelry, watches, or other personal items. A beautifully crafted hinged box placed on a dresser or nightstand not only serves a practical purpose but also acts as a decorative piece. You can also use larger hinged boxes to store seasonal clothing, bedding, or shoes, keeping your wardrobe neat and organized.
3. Enhance Your Home Office For those working from home, hinged boxes can be a stylish solution for organizing office supplies. Store pens, notepads, paperclips, and other stationery items in these boxes to maintain a tidy workspace. Opt for hinged boxes with a lock for added security, especially if you need to store sensitive documents or personal belongings.
4. Create a Decorative Display Hinged boxes aren’t just for storage—they can also be used as decorative elements in your home. Arrange a collection of small hinged boxes on a shelf or mantelpiece to create an eye-catching display. Mix and match different sizes, colors, and materials to add visual interest. Some hinged boxes come with intricate designs or embellishments, making them perfect for showcasing as art pieces.
5. Keep Entryways Tidy In your entryway, a hinged box can be used to store keys, sunglasses, and other small items that tend to get misplaced. This not only keeps your entryway tidy but also ensures that these essentials are always easy to find when you’re heading out the door. Choose a hinged box with compartments to further organize the space.
6. Organize Crafts and Hobbies If you have hobbies like sewing, crafting, or painting, hinged boxes can help you organize your materials. Store threads, needles, paintbrushes, or other tools in these boxes, keeping them readily accessible while maintaining a neat workspace.
In conclusion, hinged boxes are a stylish and functional way to organize various areas of your home. Whether you’re looking to declutter, enhance your decor, or simply find a practical storage solution, hinged boxes offer endless possibilities for keeping your home beautifully arranged.

On Fan Theories and Hyperfixations Georg
I wrote this in a previous post, but I think it bears repeating.
Fandom is not the primary audience for most shows.
Shows are going to be watched by millions of people, and 99% of them are going to watch it once, go "that was fun! :)" and then move on. The small group of us who obsessively interrogate and analyze every scene are outliers. We are Hyperfixation Georg and it's important to remember that.
My point is: if you are theorizing and your evidence rests on a handful of frames, or a bit of dialogue you think is an obscure reference to something outside the show... it's worth asking yourself: is this something the average viewer would catch? If a plot twist hinged on this, would that casual viewer be able to follow the logic and go "ah, of course! How clever!" Or would they go "where the fuck did that come from?"
A lot of the theories I see post-S2 are based on these tiny details that are only visible if you are scouring the show frame-by frame looking for them. But from a writing standpoint, it is not fair to the audience to base a twist on evidence that 99% of them will never see or notice. There has to be SOME clue that something is going on, otherwise when you do the reveal it just looks like you're pulling stuff out of your ass. It feels cheap and unearned. Gaiman is a better writer than that.
By all means, if you're having fun with crackpotting theories based on tiny details, go off. But I think it's worth making the distinction between "wouldn't this be neat?" and "I think this is what's going to happen in canon!" And if you really want to predict events for S3... it's worth checking in with yourself and asking: would a casual audience member notice this, or only Hyperfixations Georg?

Steve prompt!!! Eddie is playing guitar and Steve is folding the laundry, while he’s fighting off a cold. It’s not too bad yet, but it’s annoying and it’s got him feeling sniffly and worn out.
Thanks Anon!! Here’s a lil drabble set in my streamer AU
*~*~*~*~*~*~
It’s a quiet Sunday morning at the apartment. Saturdays were usually spent hanging out with friends, streaming/filming collabs, or doing conventions depending on the time of year.
Sundays have almost always been left for chores and a reset. Tidying up the apartment, doing excess dishes, any outstanding projects, and of course - laundry.
Eddie deep cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom earlier and was now taking a break, resting against the headboard of the shared bed - nothing but the rhythmic plucking of strings filling the silence.
The rhythmic plucking of strings… and Steve’s incessant sniffling. Eddie had spent the better part of this week watching his partner trying and failing to fight off a cold. It had finally taken up residence in Steve’s sinuses and left him more sniffly than he would prefer.
“Steve why don’t you take a break? I can fold that later.”
“N’do snff you already did the bathroom and SNF the kitchen’d.”
“Yeah but you’re sick and-”
“HAESSSSH! eh’KTCHiew!!”
“-you keep doing that…” Eddie mumbled. “Steve you’re sneezing all over the clean laundry!”
“I’b sorry. S’just so tickly… hhh HIH!”
Seeing his breath start to catch, Eddie picked a shirt up out of the laundry pile and threw it in Steve’s face. His boyfriend only just managed to press his face into it before the eruption came.
“G’SHiew! Hhh H’mfTSH!!”
Eddie grimaced as a watery noseblow escaped Steve. The younger man peered into the shirt and made a face of disgust, grabbing the rest of the laundry off the bed.
“I’b gonna throw these back in the wash…”
“Yeah good idea.” Eddie scoffed.

Oh, and like last year, we have a bonus image to go with the Valicertines! This time it's not inspired by anything specific -- it's just something that occurred to me while looking at last year's stuff that I decided I wanted to do. Basically, it's OT3 math -- Alice: Madness Returns times Corpse Bride times The Smiler equals my OT3, get it?
Oh, and, uh, if you're looking at the trio of Sims 4 screenshots below and going "hey, wait a minute, I don't remember this from any of Vic's past Chill Valicer Save updates" -- I may have gone looking through past screenshots, realized that the only set that had the trio in the outfits I wanted (the celebratory pictures in front of Van Liddelton Groceries) did not have them in the ORDER I wanted (that is, none of them were Alice-Victor-Smiler), and -- rather than tweaking the image slightly to accommodate the screenshots I already had -- fired up my game, updated Victor's primary "everyday" outfit to that CC suit that looks the most like his in-movie one, and set up a new tripod photoshoot in the second floor hallway to get the pictures I wanted. ...and then ended up using THREE shots because I couldn't decide. *facepalm* Yeah. Don't judge me. (Or do, but just don't tell me.)

It's a box! Or more accurately a box made up of minor mistakes. Been working on improving my dovetails and trying out some extra flourishes with the lid and base. It's kinda a mini version of the school box described in the Joiner and Cabinet maker. (Which incidentally, the full sized one is next on my project list.).
Tumblr media
Overall the base moldings ended up a bit too wide so it looks a tad awkward. Also I didn't want to spend anymore time finishing it so it likely needs another coat or two of shellac.

My dad was in the area yesterday so I got to eat dinner and talk to him about my plans post-uni. I told him about how I’m planning on probably not applying to any creative industries at all and instead get a full time job unrelated to art and animation and do freelance art and other art on the side. He seemed surprised but also understood that the industry as it is now is very different from where it was 3 years ago when my high school digital arts teacher told them that me getting into the industry was guaranteed.
I’m glad he took it well, I’ve been going back and forth in terms of confidence in my decision.

had very nice brunch date with the guy who didn't ghost... he's many of the things I'm looking for, I think, so that's promising. I think there's a second date in the works, and I'm actually looking forward to it, which is a new and unusual feeling
but also am talking to a pottery guy, who's quite flirty, although there's a bit of an age gap... small though, 7 years, which is less weird at my current age than some of the (larger) age gaps I was working with 10 years ago
hot girl winter? emotional crisis hotation? it's more likely than you think

My all time favorite shiny hunts though ARE the oddly specific ones though. LIKE ESPP if they're full odds but have a gimmick to them --
Most famous one ofc is the HG/SS starter hunt!!! Where you can check all three starters for shininess before choosing one:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately!!!! This guy has my deadname as the OT LMFAOOO but it was a cool hunt!! Just under odds (around 7000 resets)
BUT. THE SCARY OPTION.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Doing double battle hunts w any of the companions that can join you temporarily in DPPt is fucking WILD and STUPID and extremely rewarding! Unless if you somehow by some monkey paw's luck run into two shinies at once. Then your game freezes!!!!!!!!! 😇
MIRACULOUSLY I got my target though under odds (around 3000) no phases no game freezing catastrophies!!!! 🫡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They live in different files now! I. Have a bad habit of starting new files and then forgetting. And abandoning them at any point. And feeling like I need to start over again. BUT whenever I DO start over it's VERY cool to have a low level shiny to play through with!! 😅 And ofc in these files I can't really start anew without it being more trouble than it's worth, so. I may return. Eventually........
And. Not technically full odds but how could I talk Oddly Specific Hunts and not mention:
Tumblr media
Sunchip................ (I have done the Odd Egg hunt more times than I can fucking count LMFAOOO -- honorable mention to Dizzy my Hitmontop as well idk where he is though and I hit image limit 🫡)
