feels so strange to be somewhat defensive of james somerton (insofar as i don’t think there’s a meaningful difference between youtube plagiarism and content aggregation) when, frankly, i find many of the positions he holds about gay life to be wrongheaded and bordering on offensive. bit of a strange bedfellows moment for me.
like, personally, i think he was completely wrong to call marriage a “bourgeois value” in his bad gays video. even if he didn’t write this argument himself, he certainly co-signs it. and I might just being saying this because I’m a bit matrimony-pilled, but the tax breaks are nice, and it’s valuable that your partner has power of attorney if, god forbid, something happens to one of you. marriage was a very pragmatic thing for gay activists to focus on, because you can easily make a conservative argument in favor of it. you know how conservatives are, they love their institutions.
I’ve sort of lost the plot and have just started to ramble now, but if you’re interested in a case study of intra-gay politics, I’d recommend randy shilts’s “and the band played on”. maybe recommend is the wrong word because it’s kind of. um. a scary book. it’s a piece of investigative journalism and one of the main contentions is nascent HIV researchers saying “this is sexually transmitted. we need to shut down the bathhouses” and gay leadership dismissing this as a baseless moral panic. it’s a cautionary tale about how taking the most progressive position isn’t always the correct move. it’s a lot of things. all tethered to my distaste for the “bad gays” video.

Promises
He was promised he would hear church during a fatal heart attack. That’s his fortune, from the 17th Ave. fortune teller just off from the HIV tattoo parlour a few blocks from where he first found a caterpillar suckling the bones of a dry brunette leaf.
His Dad ran the truck, or was it a van? He forgot as he left for Vancouver, never looking back, black sesame lingering, never letting the (older, more attractive) therapist alchemize more memories into hard trauma, reddening flags, lifted baggage,
He knew, when he was a child, helping her: Bread dough, soft belly, loveable horseshit across the table is flung like glowing fireflies. When he hears his mother has only two more weeks. He needs to stay, make more Bimbap(?)
Before he gets fired again, she stopped returning his calls until she was too weak, & now I’m here in stead, in wake in home & matrimony. Shelf life stable. Hard as volcanic sandstone.
The windchimes sound like glockenspiels // is what he’d tell me before we see his mom in hospice care the door needing a good shove before opening properly. a good hug. The therapist’s perfume on his shirt fading // fading.
Take me across a character portrait ## a man w/ the metal chest imbued with spit & sweat & drool & cum, marbled sculpture body when naked, a careful craftsman (G*d) decided his fingertips would be best suited for giving life to others, amid the nitrogen and sulphites of the fertilizers and holy horseshit.
He is a baker ?? Gardening behind the 1989 Chevy van his parents forced him to keep---when they died. Yr parents will die // too.
:: It always starts / ** // Across rope xylophone bells, kisses across caterpillar spines, the pale @@ // ** love crawls
The craftsman w/ meticulous thoughts, he is careful
@ the break of the waters, of dawn, of the umbilical cord holding us together. Careful. redo. Apologetics written for the forgotten gospel or the Korean food trucks

Transform the Approach butKeep the SpiritWithBest Matrimonial Site
Young people today sign up at a variety of online wedding venues to streamline the process of getting married. People can meet prospective spouses using these online platforms. Everyone should verify the legitimacy and credentials of Matrimony Sites In Australia before signing up for these wedding sites. I explained it to you;
Do not rush into deciding regarding someone you met online. It is crucial that you keep going since only time will reveal the truth.
The first step in selecting partner of Indian Matrimony In Australia is determining whether the site is registered.
How many people are familiar with that location? You could try asking friends or family members for help.
Check if the registration was completed by a perfect candidate if there is a perfect match.
Learn the working hours and location for a given job description. It is conceivable if you make an unexpected call or visit the office. If it is close by, you should try to determine if the person is working or not. If it works out, it is best to have the conversation through phone. The thought is also conveyed through talking to the person.
For a small fee, a few reputable Detective Agencies will conduct a pre-conjugal check. This will go a long way toward establishing the concerned person's credibility.
The individual in question must unquestionably be visited at his or her residence not once, but multiple times, with the presence and accessibility of his or her guardians/relatives. Invite the worried person over to your house as well.
Verifying a person's health and criminal history is equally important.
The number of family members and whether the person is living in his or her own home or one that is rented.
Some people may try to deceive you by exaggerating their age, height, marital status, identity, health, social standing, or finances. People may be criminals, infected with HIV, financially unstable, etc.
Women over the age of 40 who are in desperate need of emotional and financial support after being dumped by a partner with young children are overrepresented on Australian Matrimonial Sites For Indians. Unfortunately, many of these women fall victim to the many men who frequent these traditionally female hangouts in search of sexual gratification, sexual adventure, or a quick fling.
All the features center on the use of marriage-oriented Best Indian Matrimonial Sites. But what really counts is how well they understand and respect one another. If this is good and true, it has the potential to make marriage more enjoyable.
Do not overuse writing. There is no shortage of reading material, and most people can determine within a few minutes whether they are interested. It is not a smart idea, but some people practically advertise their resumes while making initial contact. Rather than reviewing your résumé, the female would rather have a conversation with you.
You should also make sure to allow some room for follow-up discussion. You should get in touch with each other, but there are some things that can wait until you get familiar with each other better.

like....expecting white spaniards to give us a nuanced and proper representation of a muslim girl with a rich interior life that isnt steeped in stereotype is a tall order and anyone who didn’t see this coming is lying to themselves...
however, nadia grappling with her family’s expectations and her own desires and ambition is a good storyline. the assumption that guzman is the catalyst to her transformation is erroneous because she had no qualms about being  herself around him s1.....guzman did all the work and molded himself to fit in her world. its obvious that marina’s death shook her and prompted her to reevaluate her life and maybe she decided to take a page out of her siblings’ handbook and to throw caution to the wind and be a teen.
personally, i never went into this (terrible) show for representation: the thought of it is absurd because if its not a muslim woman at the helm, things will go awry. but im so over the limited western perspective on muslim female characters’ crucible being their faith and virtue when male muslim characters (re:omar) are afforded a breadth of characterization and storylines that are only tangibly tied to their faith. and considering this is all in service of nadia’s journey of self-discovery, bring .it .on.

━━ ❛  𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐄’𝐒 𝐁𝐔𝐓 𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐃𝐎𝐖.
hello & welcome aboard the hot mess express ! am i talking about me or theo ? YES !
quick stats !
skeleton: m*cbeth.
name: theodore st. clair.
age: twenty-two.
faceclaim: gavin leatherwood.
gender: cismale.
pronouns: he / him.
degree: international relations.
background !
— TRIGGER WARNING for mentions of a car accident, murder ( rip octavia ig )
you know the st. clairs. everyone knows the st. clairs. acacia and montgomery, two of the most famous actors in the world uniting in holy matrimony before the eyes of god — and the cameras of paparazzi spying from helicopters, of course.
that’s part of being in the imperium society, after all; for one reason or another, they’re known. whether it be for the place they clawed out for themselves in this world, or one lovingly ( not so lovingly ? ) provided for them by their parents, everyone in this elite circle has eyes on them for some reason or another.
for theo, being watched is an undeniable fact of life. being the product of two academy-award winning actors will do that to you. his birth was covered in no less than six tabloid magazines; his parents framed them to use as decorations in his nursery.
as a child, he wanted for nothing. whenever theo was allowed to make an appearance at one of his parents’ parties full of the most powerful people in hollywood, he made a splash – it wasn’t hard to see that he would grow up to be as stunning as his parents, and something about him set him apart as the darling of it all. it was his dark, soulful eyes, wise beyond his years; his smile, charmingly adorable; his delightful mannerisms, even at a young age; his parents’ friends would raise an eyebrow, tilt their heads in his direction, and say that boy is going to be someone someday.
though his parents were long since accustomed to the spotlight, theo never gravitated to it as they did. he was a handsome child, well-spoken and mischievous, but he never understood the acting bug caught by his parents in the sprightly days of their youth. instead, he was a hardworking student, a clever, quick-thinking boy, someone who set goals and followed through on them.
at 15, theo conceived a new brainchild— ST. CARE, a philanthropic and awareness-based nonprofit to advocate on behalf of exploited and at-risk children all over the world. his efforts weren’t focused on a single issue; he proposed a multitude of beneficiaries for the charitable side of things, ranging from treatment for children with HIV / AIDS to funding for girls to attend school in underprivileged areas. within a year, the wild success of both his charitable and awareness promotion efforts had earned him the international children’s peace prize.
around the same time, the st. clairs’ marriage deteriorated, messily and violently, all in front of a whirlwind of paparazzi. teenage theo was caught in the middle of it all, the unfortunate epicenter of the split between two of hollywood’s brightest stars.
tabloids cited nearly everything as reasons for the impending divorce; drugs, affairs, secret babies, anything was fair game. the truth was much more innocuous: it was simply a marriage that was no longer working, succumbing to the pressures of fame and society. but the truth didn’t sell. paparazzi competed for the money shot, their attempts growing more and more wild every time they failed. one even ended up in a car crash with his mother, leading to her spending a short time in the hospital to recover. needless to say, this was all very stressful for theo’s family.
nevertheless, theo has always been a shining, bright example for young people across the world; it came as a surprise to absolutely no one that he was accepted to ashcroft— and, by extension, the imperium society. he thrived there, majoring in international relations and preparing himself to take his philanthropy to the next level once he graduated school.
theo has never been able to resist a person in need. so when valentine came to him, mascara smeared under her eyes, pleading for his help, he didn’t think twice.
what he hadn’t planned on was what came next.
before he knew what he was doing, theo found himself standing over octavia’s body, water bottle raised over his head and christian staring at him like he’d never seen him before. he doesn’t remember the act itself— not in the slightest. but he’d be a fool not to know what he’d done.
and he watched. he watched as valentine took the water bottle from his far-too-steady hand, he watched as she disappeared with the bottle first, then with christian next. he watched his cosmic punishment for what he’d done carried out in real time: the woman he loved, whisked away by a man who’d witnessed his undoing.
he never wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps, but maybe he should’ve. after all, pretending he didn’t kill octavia is the role of a lifetime.
before, he was able to push everything down, bury it beneath the layers of denial and misplaced justification. but with octavia’s ghost making appearances all over campus, it’s getting much more difficult to disguise his guilt as grief.
that’s all folks ! plot with me xoxo

TABOO: The Medieval Mind Within the Modern Filipino
In an era where humanity trails behind the coattails of technology, it is inevitable and evidently expected that people alongside their values progress in pace with the environmental shifts occurring around them. Not much can be said about the Philippines. We are in a nation with conservative presets backed with roaring liberal judgments. As much as history tried to weather the eastern storm with a more westernized narrative, it only gave birth to a nation and people whose sights are poised towards the future yet whose minds are grappled in the past.
Traditions, beliefs, and values are intertwined with history and the culture that serves as society’s foreground. But these historical and cultural facets should not overwhelm the business of politics and the social advancements we have made so far. It is wrong to disregard and sideline these factors in political movements. But to let our medieval values hold our social norms and politics by the neck is a sin in its own sense.
This is taboo. These are the conversations we tried strenuously to avoid and the discourse we vied to kick under the dinner table. In a conservative-esque nation like the Philippines, there are lines one must not come across and there are moral boundaries planted within every social framework. These restrictions have been in place for centuries and we haven’t grown since. We can never genuinely comprehend and understand these issues we deem taboo if we aren’t open to discussing it freely. Only if we learn to pin the obscure will we only find a clearer path to modernity?
Religion in the Philippines is no taboo. But its side effects have been evident long enough for it to mend the social fabric and tinker with our politics. Over 90% of Filipinos are Christian, 80% of which are Catholic. Banking on such foothold, the Church has held power in its pulpits and has even used its sweltering influence to dictate the change in society and in our government. The Church bore the power to take down a dictator. And it still has the power to do so. There is a reason why you can’t look down upon the altar.
But where does the Church fit in this medieval discourse? Frankly, it sits pompously at the center. Like tradition, the Church has embedded its values down to the very helm line of our society. Its propositions, morals, and policies are infused with our cultural norms and have even become our norms. It is through this fusion of Church and stately influence which has quarantined the Filipino mindset from tackling issues that the world has learned to take inconveniently. We have been living with one-sided truths. It is not in the Church’s doctrines neither is it in the Bible where we establish our policies. For the Church heeds its own narrative. And that narrative is not shared by everyone.
The Last Man Standing
What God has put together, let no man separate. This beating mantra has been the battle cry of people who stand at the frontlines against Divorce. We have been told tirelessly told to honor the sanctity of marriage in Filipino households. But when taps run dry, emotions run deep, and domestic violence remains a common Filipino feature, there is really nothing to honor here.
According to recent data by the Philippine Statistics Authority, over 30% of women experience spousal violence from their current partners. In a society where love and matrimony are held to such a high standard, we can never truly tell that love is a safe haven for all. This domestic abuse has led to physical, emotional, and mental bruises that no man can even dare to bear. Abused partners have merely one option to turn to, annulment. But the tedious and blaringly expensive process takes months even years to come into motion. It leaves the abused with no other choice but to exit the process and force themselves to stay with their violent partners or leave such abusive households and face retaliation from a hypocritical society where religious presets become a way of life and personal values become the morals of a 100 Million.
In the years 2017-2018, the Senate has made progress in legalizing divorce. This conversation sparked headlines internationally as the massively conservative state is finally taking steps in swallowing the divorce pill. This is considering that the Philippines is the lone sovereign state to still have divorce illegal after its anti-divorce partner Malta made the act legal in 2011. While commendations trickled down from the thrones of the Vatican, on a global and more realistic sense, we are left grappled in an idea the world has long kept in the past. The world cannot imagine a life where divorce is illegal. But as they say, there is always something unique and painstakingly exotic about the Philippines.
The Talk
In an age of advanced technology, social media has usurped the need for newspapers and tablets have seemingly overtaken the necessity for books. Social media has tightened the loose ends of communication and has engaged millions of people into easier and more convenient discussions and conversations through online platforms. It is easy to think that topics such as Sex Education are more openly brought into light with such technology. But how can the youth initiate such crucial forums on such if Sex Education remains a vague construct and talks about sex and health are literally still kept under the sheets?
According to the Commission on Population (Popcom), Filipino parents still refuse to discuss the barebones and complexities of sex to their children. Sex discussions and Sex Education go beyond the flirtations and the foreplay the general public tags them to be. SexEd opens about sexual health, sexuality, and the repercussions that early and premarital sex may have. Encapsulated within this is the necessary measures in preventing the rampant spread of Sexually Transmitted Diseases such as HIV and AIDS among others. While sex education is being dabbled upon by educational institutions, what echoes within the classroom aren’t generally comprehensive enough for the youth to grasp. These discussions must come from their parents in order to break the stigma around the topic.
It is through this stigma why troubled youth fear opening up about their sexual past. It is in this stigma why HIV/AIDS are set to peak at 15,000 cases in 2019 in a 140% jump because we try desperately to keep the conversations quiet. 500 Filipino teenagers become mothers each day. If Premarital sex, HIV/AIDS, and Teenage Pregnancy aren’t enough to spark discussions, then it is basically useless to even try to fix the problem.
In a country where the age of sexual consent is age 12, parents must exhibit the necessary precautions to keep their children from engaging in premarital and unsafe sex. Schools cannot stress this further for textbooks could only do so much. Despite the common notion, leaving our children ignorant about sex does not safeguard them from doing the act. The retaliation of youthful curiosity is lethal. It’s best we hand them the information rather than letting them seek the information themselves.
#Pride
The colors, festivities and the celebrations are blinding. But if you deep dive into the segregated sectors of society, there is nothing worthy of celebration for the LGBT+. Pride marches are symbols of unity, strength, and the progressive march society is willing to take for the LGBT Community. But that’s all there is. We see gay fashion icons trailing the asphalt in Instagram-worthy outfits together with LGBT couples that find their way at the pulpit of Twitter stardom. Pride marches have only become a mere symbol of the flamboyance of coming out and is somehow sidelining the fight for basic civil rights.
The Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Bill has breezed through the House of Representatives yet has been gripped with strict judgment and brash political backlash at the Senate. The overtly over-religious solons have lionized themselves as preachers to turn LGBT rights into an over-sensationalized lobby for Same-Sex Marriage. While it is respectable to heed religious belief into the Senate floor, it is despicable to use subjective religious doctrines as an excuse to deny people of their right to self-expression.
While we tirelessly demand genuine separation of church and state, what the system dictates, the operator does not follow. Numerous religious groups staged a rally against the legalization of the SOGIE Bill for some stated that it would eventually lead to Same-Sex Marriage. It just goes to show how we only value the LGBT on-screen as best friends or comedic figures but not for the humans they are. We are only tolerant of their actions but never respectful of it.
There are currently no laws protecting LGBT from hate crimes or workplace discrimination. While the Philippines is open to homosexuality, its mindset remains clasped in the past. We will constantly deviate from this conversation long enough for the people to forget. Long enough for the Filipinos to forget once more.
This is a nation that has cultivated numerous ideologies and ideas yet has faltered in comprehending them all. There is no grey area. For as long as we keep these topics and issues in the shadows of the conversation, we can never truly taste the fruits of the progress we have long yearned for. Because these should be embedded into the foundations of our social structures and yet they aren’t. Progress isn’t really about technology. Or how many asphalts we’ve paved and concrete we’ve poured. Progress and change still rest on our moral presets. Our values dictate where we trace our future and where we build a better nation. Unless we are willing to open ourselves to new values then we shall remain in the crevices of our past, in the castles of our Medieval mind.

It is 2021 and Child Marriage is still a Social Issue in India
Tumblr media
Children are innocent, trusting, and full of hope. Their life should be joyful and loving and they should mature gradually gaining new experiences. However, the truth for many children, especially girls, is often clouded with horrendous experiences. Child marriage continues to prevail in many parts of the world. Unfortunately, in many communities child marriage remains a tradition and a norm. Millions of adolescents are married against their will every year without really understanding the consequences of what they are complying with. Marriage is regarded as child marriage; when a matrimonial union occurs between a minor girl or minor boy, or one of them does not reach the legal age of marriage. The practice is more common among girls than boys. But it is a violation of the fundamental human rights of children regardless of sex, leaving physical, psychological, and emotional scars for life. Their freedom to learn and play is taken away.
Child marriage is practically a form of early and forced alliance. Many factors enable child marriage- Gender inequality, debt repayment, social norms, lack of education, bride price, dowry, cultural traditions, religious pressure, regional customs, fear of child remaining unmarried, social pressure, poverty, control over sexuality, protecting family honor, sealing land or property disputes, low status of women in the society and lack of education. Child brides can be found in every region of the world. The reasons girls are married at a young age are diverse. In many places whenever a girl child is born, they consider them someone else's property. Giving a daughter in marriage allows parents to reduce family expenses by ensuring they have one less person to feed, clothe and educate. Families and sometimes girls themselves believe that marriage will be a solution to secure their future. This is because stereotypes prevail in our society that if a girl does not get married people will start to gossip about her. She will lose her reputation, and people will think she is having affairs. For a man, it is less of an issue. He can remain single.
Most girls married under 18 likely face domestic violence within their matrimonial homes. It leads to social isolation interrupting her schooling, limiting her opportunities for career and vocational skills. Household responsibilities fall on the girls. They are forced into adulthood. They are expected to look after the house and the family even if they are physically and mentally not ready for it. When girls are deprived of education, their ability to earn a living and become economically independent drastically decreases. Unequal opportunity for education, income inequality, dependence on men to provide, household responsibilities, keep girls in a cycle of poverty and imprisoned at home to perform unpaid domestic labor. Lack of outside opportunities restricts their abilities to reach their ambitions.
Around 12 million girls give birth every year. Forced pregnancy and childbearing at a young age are often results of child marriage. Usually, sexual activities start soon after the wedding which leads to pregnancy. Conceiving below the age of 18 is life-threatening for both the mother and the child because the girl's body is not mature enough to deliver without complications. Their health is also put at risk due to the contraction of sexually transmitted diseases like HIV/AIDS and more. According to the World Health Organization, the leading cause of death for women aged 15-19 years is due to complications in pregnancy and childbirth. And babies born to adolescent mothers face a considerably higher risk of dying, with a higher likelihood of low birth weight, malnutrition, and underdevelopment.
Child marriage has been a social phenomenon practiced in some societies in India. It has been a hard battle to fight because of its root in traditional, cultural, and religious practices. As per the laws of the Indian government, the legal age for marriage is 18 for females and 21 for males. The states with the highest rates of child marriage are Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Child marriage in India is a pressing issue for population control as adolescent brides are likely to have high fertility and a number of unwanted pregnancies. The Indian government passed a law the Child Marriage Restraint Act, in 1929 banning the practice of child marriage. The government of India brought the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act in 2006 to address and fix the shortcomings of the Child Marriage Restraint Act. In 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address had voiced the government’s purpose to raise the age of a girl for marriage. A cabinet meeting was chaired by him to modify the law of marriage. The cabinet has approved the proposal for increasing the legal minimum age of marriage for women from 18 to 21 years making it equal to that of men. The government will introduce an amendment to the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, and consequently, bring amendments to the Special Marriage Act and personal laws such as the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. The committee asserted sex education be formalized and introduced into the school curriculum. To ensure that an increase in the age for marriage can be implemented, training for women in polytechnic institutes, skills, and business training, and livelihood enhancement has also been a part of the recommendations.
The prevalence of child marriage is decreasing globally with increasing development. Still, the total number of girls married in childhood is 12 million per year. According to UNICEF, more than 15 million girls will lose their childhood due to child marriage by 2030. Child marriage keeps the cycles of poverty, poor health, illiteracy, and violence going and has negative impacts on overall development, prosperity, and stability. Ending child marriage is the need of the hour. In order to achieve the target set out in the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs), we need to take significant actions to end the evil practice by 2030. Child marriage not only impacts the girls' lives, but also their families, communities, and countries. Terminating it is essential for the future generation of girls as well as the world. Everyone from individuals to world leaders must challenge the traditional norms. We must extinguish the fire that ignites the idea of boys being superior to girls. We need to empower children, especially girls to be the author of their stories and encourage them to be independent first and then find a partner only after attaining the legal age for marriage. Children have the right to survive, develop, be protected, and participate in decisions that impact their lives. Every citizen must be accountable for ensuring child rights for every child in the country. Laws need to be introduced to tackle this social evil and create a free and safe world for girls and women.

But it is a violation of the fundamental human rights of children regardless of sex, leaving physical, psychological and emotional scars for life. Their freedom to learn and play is taken away.
Tumblr media
Child marriage is practically a form of early and forced alliance. Many factors enable child marriage- Gender inequality, debt repayment, social norms, lack of education, bride price, dowry, cultural traditions, religious pressure, regional customs, fear of child remaining unmarried, social pressure, poverty, control over sexuality, protecting family honour, sealing land or property disputes, low status of women in the society and lack of education.
Tumblr media
Most girls married under 18 likely face domestic violence within their matrimonial homes. It leads to social isolation interrupting her schooling, limiting her opportunities for career and vocational skills. Household responsibilities fall on the girls. They are forced into adulthood. They are expected to look after the house and the family even if they are physically and mentally not ready for it. When girls are deprived of education, their ability to earn a living and become economically independent drastically decreases. Unequal opportunity to education, income inequality, dependence on men to provide, household responsibilities, keep girls in a cycle of poverty and imprisoned at home to perform unpaid domestic labour.
And babies born to adolescent mothers face a considerably higher risk of dying, with a higher likelihood of low birth weight, malnutrition and underdevelopment.
Tumblr media
Child marriage has been a social phenomenon practised in some societies in India. It has been a hard battle to fight because of its root in traditional, cultural and religious practices. As per the laws of the Indian government, the legal age for marriage is 18 for females and 21 for males. The states with the highest rates of child marriage are Bihar, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
Child marriage in India is a pressing issue for population control as adolescent brides are likely to have high fertility and a number of unwanted pregnancies. The Indian government passed a law the Child Marriage Restraint Act , in 1929 banning the practice of child marriage. The government of India brought the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act in 2006 to address and fix the shortcomings of the Child Marriage Restraint Act. In 2020, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day address, had voiced the government’s purpose to raise the age of a girl for marriage. The committee asserted sex education be formalised and introduced in the school curriculum. To ensure that an increase in the age for marriage can be implemented, training for women in polytechnic institutes, skills and business training and livelihood enhancement has also been a part of the recommendations.
Tumblr media
The prevalence of child marriage is decreasing globally with increasing development. Still, the total number of girls married in childhood is 12 million per year. According to UNICEF, more than 15 million girls will lose their childhood due to child marriage by 2030. Child marriage keeps the cycles of poverty, poor health, illiteracy, and violence going that have negative impacts on overall development, prosperity, and stability. Ending child marriage is the need of the hour. In order to achieve the target set out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we need to take significant actions to end the evil practice by 2030. Children have the right to survive, develop, be protected and participate in decisions that impact their lives. Every citizen must be accountable for ensuring child rights for every child in the country. Laws need to be introduced to tackle this social evil and create a free and safe world for girls and women.

Stay Secure on Matrimonial Website
Young people today sign up at a variety of online wedding venues to streamline the process of getting married. People can meet prospective spouses using these online platforms. Everyone should verify the legitimacy and credentials of Matrimony Sites In Australia before signing up for these wedding sites. I explained it to you;
Do not rush into deciding regarding someone you met online.
