If I had this mindset when I became a Rammstein fan back in the 2010s – at a time when no new album was in sight – I probably would’ve given up quickly and wouldn’t have remained a fan.

And no, to be honest, it’s not like a transaction. You don’t pay artists with the direct expectation that they will create new work. These are people who rely on their creativity to do their job – and that simply can’t be forced.

Maybe another kind of entertainment would suit your outlook on things better, something like a streaming or on-demand service, where you pay and immediately receive something in return. If what Rammstein has released and accomplished over the past few years isn’t enough for you, then unfortunately that’s something you’ll have to deal with personally. No one else can help you with that.

Writing up my au for where Lucy Gray survives Coriolanus and doesn’t leave the districts. While they could erase her completely, Coriolanus decides to keep using her star power. She is the beginning of celebrities made out of the winners. She’s brought to the capitol, and is forced to live there. (This later changes at the creation of victors villages, but I don’t think that happens until later).

She performs at the games and at parties for big wig capitol guys. It’s not that she wants to do any of this, but rather, that she knows what will happen if she doesn’t listen. The rest of the Covey will suffer. So she sings and smiles and plays her part as the good little songbird. Eventually, she is moved to the victor’s village in district 12, though, the rest of the Covey is not allowed to live with her.

It’s a cruel joke, and of course, punishment from Coriolanus Snow. Their relationship is never spoken about in the public, outside of the two of them playing friendly for cameras and to soften the public’s perception of their leader. But she hates the man, and would do anything to destroy him. Just not at the cost of the Covey.
