wow so we are rising to the challenge of finding a ship I can't get into Immediately, huh?

I don't exactly ship this one, but that's because for me there's no way to reduce this one to ship/don't ship, considering nona's complicated identity and the variety of power dynamics at play

why don't I ship it? There's actually a lot about this dynamic that I find interesting, ie exploring the reason alecto might have chosen John originally + the fact that nona is a version of alecto without the trauma. john is not the entirety of her trauma, but he's the most extreme example of the fact that alecto loves humanity deeply, and they keep hurting her. we see her fury in alecto, but not in nona, because nona is the way she's compartmentalized her anger and pain. So I find the nona/alecto dynamic with john really fascinating and relevant to muir's themes. it's also not something I'd necessarily read a sweet fluffy romance about, if that makes sense?

what would have made me like it? if tamsyn muir had written nona/john, I would trust her to make it fucked up enough

despite not shipping it, do I have anything positive to say about it? it's extremely relevant to the themes of tlt. It makes me deeply uncomfortable in a way that I think is kind of the point? muir's writing for john is so brilliant because she continually comes THIS close to the line of where I think people would find him completely unsympathetic even as a villain. she's playing with fire, bad faith reception-wise, and I can only respect it. to me, nona/john is that

So, ig the best way to word it as he has 2 forms? The normal one ig and the uh- winged form.

He's the same height, I just for some reason rew ine smaller.

All that happens is; he gets horns, wings and face markings (tail and the black part of of his eyes change)

I just thought it was a silly idea cause I saw posts where he has wings and I'm like; hm.

He's the only one in this AU with wings (although originally i debated given some to DogDay and maybe the others to.)

He's not evil or anything belive it or not.

He dosnt like his wings or other things (i havnt decided why this is a rather new idea) he can willing despawn and respawn his wings and things although if he gets to injuried or stressed they just appear and can't go away u till he claims down lolol.

His personality and age? I haven't decided ethier, i think since in my other AUs he's always 7-12 so in this one I'll make him his cannon age 22 (Along with the McDonald's AU, im also realizing i forgot about DogDay when making the McDonald's AU so- i dont know how to add him in help-)

Anyways, his friends with DogDay in this one, yes the hour of joy happened, yes he hid his wings and stuff for awhile but eventually the others found out (idk how yet)

My two cents also sorry this is an essay: the whole tbosas press tour had me being like wtf is going on here . I know actors play up the chemistry to sell the movie but T went beyond what I would consider appropriate lol all that with J right there like specifically kissing her head for a picture and saying she was easy to fall in love with??Which everyone compares to Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone but they were actually dating. Everything else I can explain away as friends trying to sell a movie.

With the liking ig model pics and everything I think he might just be a flirtatious person and also happens to be attracted to R and that kind of explains the behavior. I don't think there are feelings on either side, but T was definitely shamelessly pushing some boundaries and definitely enjoyed the giggles and laughs from R which is not cheating outright the same way liking bikini pics isn't cheating out right i guess. And R enjoyed his attention too. All so messy.

Attraction is for sure there but I don't I don't think they want to see themselves ever be together.

T is very surprising because he seems more reserved than R but has no problem flirting with her in front of her bf with the cameras rolling. maybe he's not like that when they're not promoting something, who knows.

Anyway long rant to say I love their chemistry but they are my two faves and I don't want them to be cheaters so I am very happy they are not dating but they are messy.

That’s why I always laugh when people compare T and R to Andrew G and Emma S. Andrew and Emma fall in love and dated while filming lol. They didn’t work out but are still great friends.

Every video I see where T says “she’s easy to fall in love with” - everyone comments “omg! platonic besties!” with thousands of likes- do people have friends that fall in love with them and kiss their heads casually? I don’t lol! That’s called a relationship, not a friendship.

T and R are naturally flirtatious people. There’s definitely sexual attraction and some feelings imo. I don’t think they acted on it but they pushed boundaries several times. They remind of two people who are in relationships but once they’re both single, will call each other and say “hm so want to make out now since we’re single?” R was enjoying his attention and T was happy to give it to her lol

I think they do act like that off camera. Naturally flirting and playfully banter. They constantly touched each other during interviews and that only happens when you’re around someone a lot.

The proof is with the airports photos; which are iconic to me. T and R walking side by side while J was in the background looking grumpy lol.

I don’t think any cheating is going on. No offense to R but she’s very clingy and too loyal so she doesn’t strike me as a cheater lol.

T doesn’t seem like a cheater either, however…I can see him keeping his options open.

What is your total AO3 word count? Well.. you see.. 501,371. ..Huh I the chap I just posted cracked the 500k count ! Congrats to me ig !

What fandoms do you write for? The Hunger Games ! I have some Star Wars fics on my AO3 from years ago, but 96.2% of those words are THG so. hjvbdhvhbddfbh

What are your top five fics by kudos? Sighs really heavily. So I pretty much only write OC stuff for THG, which means that the 3.8% of Star Wars fics are taking 3/5 spots on the top 5 kudos ranking. F in the chat. So starting at the most, we've got: Lessons Unlearned (SW), Is That Really Me? (SW), True Vengeance (THG), Widow's Bite (THG), and Take My Hand (SW). None of those SW fics are over 2k while True Vengeance is probably going to hit 300k by the time it's over... Really interesting to see the statistics of what it looks like to write in a larger fandom vs a smaller fandom tbh :0

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Absolutely !! I love reading what people think about my writing. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hm.. Maybe Reparation Clause or True Vengeance? Granted, I haven't written the ending of TrV yet but given that I've killed off all of Ven's arena friends uhh.. yeah. The Bridges We Burn could also possibly fall under this category... Turns out there is no shortage of angst when you write for the child death pageant fandom jdvvbhdf

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Now that's a harder question, rip. I do generally try to end my Victor Exchange fics on happier notes (Destined to Fall, Desiderium, The Bridges We Burn). I think Widow's Bite and No Sleep for the Wicked also end on more positive notes..? I wouldn't exactly call it Happy though.. (maybe some of my Star Wars fics would qualify, but I do not feel like talking about them LMAO)

Do you get hate on your fic? No, I'm perfect (insert sunglasses emoji here) /j I don't think I've ever gotten straight-up hate comments on my fics before though. I've gotten some criticisms (one person wasn't happy about the fact that the Games continue after the events of True Vengeance, according to the other fics on my profile hvfhvbf), but nothing that's ever put me down about my writing. ...Do affectionate death threats count as hate? (my friends are Goofy bhjdfbvhd)

Do you write smut? If I do, you'll never know BHVF. Ok for real though, it's not really my jam as a writer. Worth trying probably to step out of my comfort zone, but definitely not something I'd ever post. Sorry guys.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Afaik, no. Not in terms of straight-up ripping the text. I think I've had some ideas borrowed, but like. Who give a fuck LOL. As my one friend likes to say often, there are no new ideas in THG (in terms of things like arenas, quell twists, tribute concepts). What makes something unique is having different authors writing and interpreting said concepts !

Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but I've thought about translating one of mine into French myself as a way of practice.. Never got around to it though, alas.

Have you ever co-written a fic? Ooh, so Technically, no... BUT. I do create tribute characters for SYOT (Submit Your Own Tribute) fics, which is more of a collaboration than co-writing. I also have three fics I've written for the Victor Exchange event in the SYOT Verses discord server where the pov victor characters were created by another author and I wrote their stories (and I received a fic for the victor character I created!) What are your writing strengths? Ooh I love writing dialogue, and also fight scenes!! Description is fun too c: But yeah, I have been called the fight scene queen by a friend once so I think that counts as a strength LOL.

What are your writing weaknesses? I have no weaknesses I'm perfect (sunglasses emoji). /J bvhjfvfbh.. I'm Slow. I get hung up sometimes on structure/style things while writing and it makes the process take a bit longer. I think also sometimes I tend to meander a bit... I could use a lesson in conciseness jvhhbfv.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? It seems like good practice !! Like I said, I had wanted to translate one of my fics into French as practice.. Not sure if that's what this question is asking, or more of like. A bilingual character or something..? Idk ! I think if it's something that you want to get better at, it would also be wise to get concrit from a native speaker on how natural it sounds.

:$ akjerjifldvsildsvi i- honestly im flattered. i clarify that im doing this in a non creepy way because i asked my friend if she wanted 2 see my bones and she said it was very jeffery dahmer of me. fortunately i do not have the desire to taste my collection nor do i yearn for human stew. so its just because i think theyre neat and i like looking at skeletons and seeing how they fit together plus how different animals can have similar anatomy but specialized parts! fun fact! did u know squirrel teeth are /long/ like they go up into the skull rlly far. i did not.

i store them mostly outside wherever the dogs cant get to em, except the ones ive finished cleaning that i can store on my shelf.i fear for the day when it inevitably gets knocked over and i have to try and located 100 little rodent bones in the carpet. cleaning them is a helluva process tho like so many buckets and the folks i cohabitate with do not like it when i wash bones or leave buckets in the bathroom so i am not allowed to bring a bone inside until its 100%. this is a fair rule, i suppose. i am also not allowed to use the kitchen pots for boiling anything thats not food. this is also fair but i figured if i wash it after it'd be fine. better safe than sorry when it comes to bacteria ig lol.

also dude i'd be frickin psyched if someone wanted to take some bones i LOVE sharing them. my friend who insinuated i will become a serial killer actually took one home with her. the rest of my friends have informed me bones do not make good birthday gifts, no matter how cool they are. again, fair. my little sister makes jewelry with them sometimes.

YES i wore gloves oh LORD i am far past the point in my life where i do any of this bull barehanded. thats a lie. i try to wear gloves most of the time, but admittedly i am very absent minded. ie, i didnt have gloves coming out of the office but i didnt want to just shove a dead bird in my pocket, so i took off my mask and wrapped it in that and then shoved it in my pocket. i try to carry around a plastic bag with me at all times just in case i see some bones or roadkill or something.

HM it's like. he's definitely an asshole, he's unilaterally pretty rude and dismissive of people but his morality is. A lot more complex than just plain "evil" ig? like his whole thing is essentially that he wants to defeat death as a philosophical ideal but has tunnel vision and doesn't care about the lives of actual people when they don't benefit him. like he wants to prevent death but not preserve life. He's basically a morality tale about valuing pure ideology over the material reality of the people it governs

hm well skam nl is my favorite and their social media game is trash LMAOOO so generally No but i do feel like remakes who DO have such a good presence kind of elevate the show and i think it’s pretty heartwarmin to see some remakes go sm farther than skam with social media and puttin out educational and IN CHARA resources like skames does this so well and i feel like in that way, the team is really really spreadin skam’s spirit via these resources (like joana’s billion bpd awareness ig accounts and lucas rubio’s yt channel)

2. Least favourite clip of the show? Why?

tbh there are definitely some duds but probably one of the clips with sana gettin herself into a hole in s4 just bc some were hard to watch cus cringey or yikes .... idk i cant think of others LMAO

season 1 - tbh even though i really enjoyed this season, it does take a while for it to build up like i rmr at first not being that interested until ep6 maybe ?? which is hard when you’re trying to get your friends to watch but they have to wait until ep6 before shit starts RLLY buildin up and gettin wild

season 2 - hm ig noora chasin after william ??

season 3 - bro NOTHINGGG call me a purist but its such a refined masterpiece like the pacing is good the characterization is so good ugh i deadass cant think of anythin

season 4 - i always felt a little ??? w noora being sana’s bff ig bc from s1-s3 it didn’t Feel like they were that close like even in noora’s pov, sana wasn’t really a part of it that much ?? like eva was more of noora’s bff ?? so i feel like it would have made more sense if maybe sana spoke more with chris or vilde bc sana and vilde eventually seemed to get closer esp with kosegruppa and chris has always been by sana’s side ?? idk that always confused me

5. What is your opinion on the cast’s participation on social media? Do you prefer it when the cast aren’t that involved like the Skam cast, or do you like a lot of content like the Fr cast do?

tbh i don’t care much abt the casts LMAOOO if anythin it kind of brings more harm as seen with the harassment axel and maxence get and also can bring more controversy like with irene (which honestly is p sad considerin how much i love skames bc now i feel super :/ watchin it like she shouldve just had private accts at this point)

IJXDWQOIJJ yes .... remakes-wise, people hate skam nl s2’s last half but i enjoyed it for the most part ... i think the pacing was off for the last ep but personally, clip 50 made up for it and is p god tier imo ..... and also don’t think the first half of ep10 is enough to discredit the entire season bc i rlly loved seeing liv’s pov and have sm fave moments from the season 

but skam wise, omg might get a lil controversial w this one IM SORRY !!! im bein honest and its Just my opinion ok 

personally s2 got me more invested than s1 and i don’t think its a super bad season like i didnt really say many problems wrong with it until i got on tumblr wiejioqjoiqjq i was sort of interested in the questions that the noora/william dynamic brought up which is, as expressed in william’s war speech to noora, that nothing is ever black/white which i feel was a huge message and feeds into the ‘you never know what ppl are going through’ theme of the season ... like i like the idea of someone like noora, who can have a black/white mentality (as seen in the first clip of s2 when she tells vilde that they can’t have the tannin company as their sponsor bc they objectify women or smth but misses the context and what it could mean for the bus monetarily bc shes caught up in bein ‘woke’) having to break out of that and see more than one side ... and i think remakes like skam austin expanded on this idea well like when zoya was like ‘must be so nice being right all the time’ which i Do feel like is an important for youth to know today .... bc i think its so easy to get caught up in the idea of being so objectively right and morally superior that people lose sight of the more nuanced characteristics to life ... (omg long ramble BUT)

also LMAOOOOO this one might be more controversial as it pertains to bench scene s4 ok oops again doNT GOTTA AGREE !! ........ but i feel like the scene had a lot of good intentions ... i was def kind of cringing a bit tho bc i understand the subject’s sensitivity and how these topics are hard to talk about but i genuinely feel like they both made Some points and should listen to each other .... like as Hard and as maybe ‘unwoke’ it is to admit, unfortunately you sort of do have to answer the tough questions bc that way we learn from each other .... and i perfectly understand why some ppl wouldn’t want to do this and i certainly am tired abt havin to answer shit abt my sexuality or stupid male questions abt women but if u dont answer them, people do go lookin for answers still and the internet is such a shitty place that its pretty easy (esp with youtube’s algorithm) to lead you to ignorant ppl and perhaps radicalization .... questions help us to better understand our community and sometimes they can have good intentions too but we have to ask and answer them or else people will make up answers (which ive literally seen and its honestly worse to see fake as shit and UNINFORMED answers bc ppl did not want to ask you or ppl of ur identity, esp when they’re already startin from a place of hate .... but i rather have ppl ask me patronizing questions than have them spread false info bc that can do much more harm in the long run) however i DO think that isak should also consider sana’s side and i sort of wish we saw him conceding more bc they both have smth to learn from one another, like sana shouldn’t just be learnin from isak, isak needs to learn from sana too

omg honestly too much to write here tbh ..... but if it says anythin im (very slowly) in the works of a three part skam essay about basically how skam teaches us to be better humans and how to better treat the people we care about diowjqioj essentially the three biggest themes of the show: you never know what someone is going through so always be kind, always communicate with your friends, and no person is ever alone and i feel like these are definitely rlly good messages to live by (also livet er nå BITCH !!!)

omg tbh i could not tell u at all how the skam charas are doing except i hope even is okay thats all im thinkin of ok ....
