light is iffy about giving his s/o affection outside of his home or yours. yeah he denies he’s well..into men and just doesn’t prefer women. no matter how many times you try to tell him ‘that means you’re gay’ he’d just snap and say “i am NOT gay so shut it!” then the next second you’re hugging his arm,exchanging ‘i love you’s’ as you two walk.

don’t get me wrong,light..somewhat cares for you but hates to admit he’s in a relationship with you. he’d sometimes deny kissing cuz ‘its wrong’ then the next damn minute he’s giving you gentle kisses on the shoulder while you two are cuddling..lil shit-

i wouldn’t say he’s THAT homophobic but just denies liking men cause of the people he’s around(or just the thought of being kira). plus he’s gotta keep a reputation you know,if he’s going to be a future god he has to be respected.

he doesn’t really use you..it’s more of the fact he’d hate to see you get hurt or be harmed in any shape or form. for a guy he acts like he doesn’t care,he does. he’d even kill for you if he had to.

whenever misa came into the picture,he really pushed on that he was dating someone already but hey,,she barley cared till she actually met you. (she says she’d prob be a better lover for light despite him saying he just..has no interest in women,)

but fr,he’s not that hobophobic in a sense but he will deny that he enjoys affection from you or enjoys giving it. so expect him to get all red if he ever does end up admiting it.
