Q: You mentioned that the characters, Suzumi Hiyori and both Someya Yujiro and Shibasaki Aizo of LIPxLIP, were created at the same time, but how did they come to be?

Yamako: Yujiro and Hiyori made their first appearance at the end of the MV for “Koiiro ni Sake” to indicate that a new generation was about to begin as the first generation of characters from the CEC graduated from high school. At that time, I didn’t have a specific vision for their future, but it gradually took shape as I thought up Aizo’s character visuals afterwards. I think LIPxLIP became idols because shito said that he wanted to create idol characters in the series.

shito: Yes, that’s indeed the case (laughs). Up till then, we had only written love songs for the CEC, but even before that, I had wanted to write idol songs. So, since we’re able to create our own characters and have them move around as we wish through our songs as HoneyWorks, I proposed the idea of creating a two-man idol unit. Around the same time, we also created Hiyori, a girl who could bring out the two-faced nature of the idols, since a completely ordinary girl like her would be able to bring out both their natural personalities and their bad-tempered natures (laughs). So I get the feeling that Hiyori naturally came about as we were creating LIPxLIP.

My contribution to the Oshi no ko series!! XD I love idol so it was a must watch…It’s totally not related but I hope honeywork can get Mona a series she deserves one TAT it’s a more light hearted struggle of the idol industry oshi no ko is way darker

so haniwa has like an anime right (im pretty sure) However is there a better way of consuming it? there usually is with idol media and i just wanna be sure. Asking for a friend

you go to the honeyworks youtube channel and you start watching the mvs, honestly the anime is kind of a mess 

tbh you can already get the gist of it with just that but you can use the wiki to read the lyrics (2023 and haniwa doesnt have eng subs yet)

for example: kono sekai

there’s also a gacha game (only in jp)

and not only there are idols there’s also the love series so im leaving my faves here (koutarou my boy) hehehehehhh, there are a bunch of films and another anime about them (them in general, not this three specifically)

not an anime but!! theyre both the character narumi mona from honeyworks!! i thiiiink theyre both official promo art of her, with the icon being edited? but my memorys a little bad

mona has a series of songs as well as a light novel and (i think) a manga!! she also appears in the recent shoujo anime heroines run the show, but thats as a minor character with a completely different art style

my friend @erimnar knows WAY more no.1 mona fan sweep!!!!

personally for the songs my favourite one art-wise is 17sai and then no.1, but the first one chronologically is i, an idol declaration!! shes an idol and i support her in her journey wholeheartedly <3<3

was toujou sara from honeyworks a victim of the series being too popular or just a casulty? i miss him; less than 10% of the users in discord server for the app chose his unit as a role for favs and he never got a complete wiki page. rip my favorite little wolf idol you will be missed
