Blade-Three, also known as Three, is the living weapon of the Watchers. Conditioned to follow orders, it is meant to use its considerable strength, combat abilities, and total loyalty to obliterate the enemies of the Watchers. Of course, the "following orders" part comes first, which is how, when Listener agent Martyn InTheLittleWood comes along with the right command words, he manages to steal it. Now, instead of missions that make any sense, Three must navigate as Martyn and his roommate Jimmy attempt to teach it how to be human, or at least enough of a person to be itself. It would help if either Martyn or Jimmy knew how to be human either, and if they weren't falling apart at the seams after the death of an old friend. (And of course, there's the matter of Three's original identity, a question no one thinks to ask...) Or: in which Evo had a bad end, and five years later, the pieces that were left behind start to accidentally fall back together.

this project is simultaneously very, very exactly in my wheelhouse and very far outside of it. i had to give myself a crash course in evo to get some of this to work so that was neat. it is a very weird and very me take on watcher!grian, arguably, it's more complicated than you'd think, i don't pretend to solve philosophy. i hope you all enjoy it! i am SO EXCITED to get to posting this. everything's written, so expect a chapter a day until we get to the end! :D

On Assignments and The Discord

Hey Doodlers! We’ve got some not so great news.

Unfortunetely, we’re going to have to push back assignments being sent out. We’ve been working hard to get everything done but with so many people joining this year, it’s been hard to be as thourough as we’d like- and because of this, we’re now going to be shooting for assignments being sent out January 4th.

For context, last year we had around 54 people join the exchange, and it took us under two weeks to sort through assignments, during which we were pretty not-busy in our daily life. This year, things have been very hecktic on our end, and we have nearly DOUBLE the amount of people joining. It’s been a bit much!

We don’t think it’ll take us long to finish up, however, hence the new goal being January 4th. We apologize to everyone who’s been excited to receive their assignments, especially since we previously thought we wouldn’t need to push anything back.

We will also not be opening the Discord at the same time assignments are sent out. To be clear, the server is complete, but we won’t have anyone to mod until after January 15th. Like last year, invites will be sent out via email, or via DM if an email exception has been made.

We’re sorry for the bad news, but think these delays will ultimately make the exchange bigger and better. We don’t currently think it’ll be nessesary to push back gifting week, but will keep you updated on that as well, in case anything else comes up. Thank you all for your patience and support!!
