My friend @otterfire made a comment about Archie and Horatio being sea-otters holding hands and then I blacked out and made these

Propaganda
No propaganda for Tetra yet
Hornblower's the most soggy wet pathetic man I've ever seen <3 He's got 56 mental illnesses and slowly goes from an albeit anxious but excited midshipman to a bitchy admiral

i have genuinely so many thoughts about how the book Lieutenant Hornblower was adapted and how most of the changes work, when accounting for the fact it must necessarily leave Bush's POV in order to work as television, and how those changes end up fucking over Bush's character in the movies, and how he was further pilfered by the series' decision to maintain characters like Styles and Kennedy. There is so much going on in there. Unfortunately, I don't yet own a copy of Lieutenant Hornblower, and having to constantly borrow it from my library is a faff and prevents me using post its to mark important passages. :(

Round 2 Part 6 Poll 4

i love knuckles. he used to be a selfish and notorious pirate until he crashed into a rock trying to track down a powerful gem and was abandoned by his crew. after that he became a coward, got a new crew, and spent all day throwing parties and doing absolutely nothing productive until getting involved in a multidimensional conflict to get all the pieces of something called the paradox prism, and now he's possibly going back to his old ways.
This is the man. From Midshipman to Commodore we follow Hornblower's career as he gives himself, heart and soul, to his ships, his crew, and to England.

hello , may i ask about 'A Shield Not A Sword' that title intrigues me most , but i love hornblower as well so 'Captain's Log' as well piques my interest ahdkfl but whichever you wish to talk about most i am up for hearing about ! this is for the wips tag game.
Ah you are so kind! Thank you for asking!
A Shield Not A Sword is a story I'm in the middle of and currently publishing. It features Piett being forcibly conscripted into the Imperial Navy and his repeated attempts to escape. Eventually he wins the friendship of one General Veers and they escape together to begin life as mercenaries---seeking to help the galaxy that way. I like this new angle for them since they're not in either the Empire or the Rebellion. I'm looking forward to world building the smuggling world they'll be part of. :D
Captain's Log is built on the foundation that both Archie and Bush lived. {Don't we all want that} ;D I start the series after Commodore Hornblower and I have Horatio happily married to Barbara, with nary a Maria ever in sight. I am currently focused more on Captain Bush and his first officer, Lieutenant Kennedy as they go about the business of the Royal Navy. I intend a romance for Bush, but it shall be slow burn as I also wish to give Bush and Archie adventures---allowing Horatio to pop in as I see fit. He usually gets all the attention---it's their turn. :D
Thank you so very much for asking!
