The mask and the black markings, depending on what they are (and the black accent color overall tbh) would lead me to believe that it might be part mime or Pierrot- it’s a little difficult to tell without a clear image. It’s shy nature would lead me in this direction also, but judging by the fact that it’s in your attic of all places it’s story might be a bit more complicated… (I hope it is alright :0( )

Furthermore, the bright colors may be indicative of some party genes as well!! (Again, given it’s not like porcelain sized) Clowns of course come in many different colors across breeds BUT red and gold/yellow color combos are a staple among party clowns!! Along with very fun and poofy costumes hehe

Without being able to get a super clear picture, some sort of party/sad clown mix is probably my best guess! Leaning more towards sad clown tho..

Besides the breed of the clown, though, it seems as if that clown (based on its fear of you) will need a lot of love and care- an attic usually isn’t a very good place for a clown, but it might be looking for the safest option available to it. Leaving out food and trying to show that you’re not a threat might help to coax it out of hiding. If you have a clown shelter in your area, give them a call as well!! :0)

Let's talk about Loki! Under the cut for the sake of those who have not yet seen Episode 2.

OKay so to start with, overall this episode of Loki was a pleasant surprise. Loki himself got to be serious and powerful and I enjoyed that. He's finally had a chance to shine in his own series. The way he played with magic, especially with the shadows at the beginning, was absolutely stunning, and I'm glad we're finally diving into his magical abilities more. He had just the right amount of menace in his interactions with Brad, and the way he was softer and rather understanding when Mobius flipped out was a wonderful counterbalance. So far I'm liking this version of Loki where he's threatening to his opponents but genuinely caring towards his people, and I think whoever was in charge of writing him in this episode did an excellent job reinjecting some nuance and some authority into his character.

Mobius was a little weird at certain points; he's been an analyst for like a bajillion years or something so I think in-character he should've been able to handle reading the guidebook, but honestly he had a decent showing too. Using him as the levity...it's not a horrible decision if it's not going to become a recurring theme, because I don't want him to get dumbed-down, which he's not so far; his deducing that there was set-up was quite clever and I didn't see it coming. It worked in this episode partially because he was also doing some smart stuff, but also because it was offset by the bits of temper and vulnerability he displayed, which were both very well done in my opinion. It actually added another dimension to his character that I really like, and I think addressing that he's more afraid of "what if the life I was supposed to have is good?" than if it was bad is an interesting take, especially considering he seems to be in the camp of "it may be the life I was supposed to have, but it's not my life," because it's good for the show to be exploring those different avenues for the TVA workers, and because it makes Mobius a more unique person himself. I'm also kind of enjoying his little ruthless streak, ngl.

I like the dynamic Mobius and Loki have together right now. Them eating pie together and talking about Mobius's feelings was a lovely scene, and probably one of the most authentic we're going to see out of the entire season if I had to guess. They're working together very nicely; Mobius sort of letting Loki go off his leash with the magic at the beginning was neat, and I just adore the way their less-heroic tendencies are playing off of each other (such as in the Brad-in-the-box scene). I think that makes sense for them, and I'm not looking for these guys to be heroes of pristine reputation, or even heroes at all, just guys who are trying to hold what little they have left together, so it's really hitting the spot for what I expect of their personalities melding together.

(Also, I'm now pronouncing Casey and Ouroboros a ship, although I doubt I'm the first one. The idea of OB being a celebrity to this one guy, and only this one guy, is pure gold.)

I will say, there's still a little much of the MCU-brand hokeyness in the show for my taste. There doesn't need to be something to laugh at every couple of minutes (not that I'm really laughing, because I'm tired of that style of writing by this point). The story can stand on its own without the forced comedy, and if it can't, then the comedy is only going to annoy people further. This is kind of serious stuff, and although I'm not against having some lighter moments or some comedic relief, I could live with Loki actually taking itself more seriously. But, like I said, this episode did feel more genuine to me, so it's not all jokes and quipping.

I'm still not a fan of Sylvie. Her existence annoys me because the female-Loki premise is obnoxious, and she feels so much like every other female character out there she doesn't really have the personal qualities to redeem the premise. Also, I find Loki's obsession with her strange, as she's mostly only been a total bitch to him and clearly wants nothing to do with him. (Which in itself is weird; her acting all butthurt at him in this episode like he was the one who pushed her through a time-door or something was like...what the heck? If somebody can explain that to me, please do, because I feel like I've either missed or forgotten something that would make it make sense.) I find her "normal life" as an 80s McDonald's employee strange, also, because that's...that's not the kind of normal she would envision. Her "normal" should be something regular on Asgard, because she's not a human dreaming of a normal life, she's an Asgardian dreaming of a normal life, although I do understand that according to the rules of the game there's probably not an Asgard where a Loki is welcome...yet Lokis are shapeshifters, so she could sneak in one anyway. That's probably a little nitpicky, I can recognize that.

So, yeah. There we go. This episode of Loki actually raised my expectations for the rest of the season, which is a nice surprise for me. I didn't think I would enjoy any part of this show so much, because the first season really didn't have a moment like this where I went huh. this is pretty good. I hope this episode being so good isn't an anomaly, because I was a huge fan of Loki in Thor, Avengers, Dark World, Infinity War, and I want to be a fan of him again in this show. If the writing stays this good (or gets even better, perchance?) I may end up considering myself a convert.

question about LitL-verse!Jolly - is he limited to natural water sources like rivers and rain, or could he hypothetically be transported in one of those limos with a hot tub

So this is a valid question, cuz I kinda talked about this offscreen (off of tumblr, that is).

Näcken, the folklore creature that Jolly is based off of, needs to have running water nearby, otherwise they grow incredibly despondent. So technically, Jolly can leave the river without it raining, but he just becomes incredibly moody, so the other boys just don’t bother inviting him to go anywhere. But Noah and Folio are also kind of pinned to the Woods as well, so they also really haven’t bothered experimenting with “getting him out of the house.”

But it is funny imagining them filling buckets with water and making a trail from the Hollow to Taylor’s house, Davy Jones style. Granted, that would take a lot of buckets and Noah and Folio would get bored after a while.

of course, give yourself a theme and stuff first.

figure out how you'll format the suggestions. some users post them right under an ask, some users post them seperately. it would be good to establish how your posts will look in general. some users llike to decorate with images or emojis, so experiment till you find something you like! :)

it's preferred if you make a pinned post which explains what you provide and possibly links to things like rentries which show your introduction, what content you will/will not make suggestions for and other things about your blog.

For the suggestions :

Chu doesn't do name requests, so He can't help with those. other blogs will be happy to help though!

the suggestions can get very different depending on what the theme is. Mew will break this into parts.

for suggestions based on characters :

look up information about said character. this can be done by looking at a wiki page, for example. lets say your character has ice powers. you can already get a few things from that, like pronouns (ice/ices, frost/frosts ect) or titles ((prn) who controls ice, for example). does the character have any titles that they call themselves or are called? that can also be used! for pronouns you can base them around the character's aesthetic, looks, powers, hobbies, anything really!

for suggestions based on aesthetics :

for suggestions based on aesthetics or similar, Rot likes to think of things that remind Him of it (although that was pretty obvious lol). you may also look up whatever it is on Pinterest and check what are common themes in the images. people baking pies? add that. nature? well you're lucky because there's lots of stuff in nature. basically add anything that reminds you of it!

(is there anything else that you can make suggestions based off of? Doll can't think of any...)

Other stuff :

blog going slowly? no requests lately? you can always ask other creators for a promo! just make a post asking kindly and tag some users who post similar things (of course respecting if they don't want to be tagged in such posts).

users like to make unique tags for their blogs. they tag specific posts with specific tags, so when someone wants to look at only a part of their blog, they can jut click the tag. make sure to tag all of them in your pinned post and explain that they are! ^^

don't be shy! make all kinds of posts and interact with other users, that way more users will see and interact with your blog! it's also just nice to have friends :3

it might be difficult in the beginning if you just started, but a promo post and regular posting will help more users to see your blog. it would be hard to find a single post in a sea of hundreds, no? :)

Hey, I hear ya. I’ve dabbled in renpy in the past, and it’s a great tool for beginners to get started but can be a bit limiting and hard to shape into what you want if it deviates from a simple visual novel.

I looooove self indulgent projects personally! Love seeing people making things for themselves, even if they’re yelling into the void. I don’t know much about dark souls but I’m already kinda into what you’ve got cooking up! The art’s really cool (love your style) and the characters seem pretty interesting.

well i have figured somethings out while watching a criticism of some tiktok trend just now. lately ive been very averse to anything pop culture, or relevant. and it's not in the way that i've been known for (as in, edgy) it's something else. almost frustrating, like i wish i DID like it. and i think... this is uncomfortable. I think i am just becoming and adult. i am almost 23 years old. of course i think booktok is stupid. of course i hate marvel movies and couch tv. of course i get bored watching most video essays on youtube because there's nothing really compelling in it for me. I don't think I have a firm grasp on myself as someone who has been in college for 4 years, who has studied both biology and engineering, who has spent my entire life reading and learning as much as i can, as someone who's... not a dumb little kid anymore. and maybe I would understand that if i wasn't surrounded by people who boggle their minds about me casually reading in depth scientific studies and watching videos about nuclear fusion in my free times. i think i'm suffocating in this little bubble. I think i need to grow up.

Hi! I have a question, and just wanted some thoughts since you are always posting about RWRB fanfic. I've been thinking about getting into recording Podfics and was curious if there was a market for this in the fandom.

I've never done it before, but I have heard from a few friends and colleagues that I'm a pretty good story teller (I'm a teacher by day and truly love the art of the read aloud).

Do you think there would be an interest from readers/authors in turning some fics into an audio format? If so, how do you think would be the best way to get started? I'm willing to take requests from readers/authors in the fandom but not sure where to begin. Any thoughts??

First of all, hello love! It's so nice to meet you!

There is ABSOLUTELY a market for podfics in this fandom. I've had one of my fics turned into a podfic, and it was my first experience with it and as a writer, it made me emotional over my own words, to hear them spoken aloud in a brand new format. It allowed me to hear how my fic flowed as a spoken story and honestly made me a better writer to hear it.

I think that you could start by reading some fics that you like and reaching out to those authors, either here on Tumblr or in the comments of their fics on AO3. I have a feeling that most authors would consider it an honor to have their fics turned into podfics. I know I personally was when it happened to me.

And from an entirely selfish POV, if you want to check out any of my fics to potentially use as your early practice works, I'm open to any one of mine being done as podfics.
