Here’s some Shinsou Hitoshi headcanons I have:

He has crippling insomnia(have you seen those eye bags?)

He has a dark sense of humor

Tokoyami and him read old spell books together and secretly try them out on Bakugou(“he doesn’t believe in that anyway, right? So he should be easy to practice on”.)

They also tried spells on Kaminari, but he started info dumping on them about how they might actually not just be superstitions.

Kaminari starts joining them on said spell practice days and laughs when he finds out their target is Bakugou.

Shinsou buys three bags of coffee each week. One for the entire class to share, one for himself, and the last one he stashes in his room just in case(He learned his lesson after Midoriya stole his coffee bag last time. “What does he even need it for?”)

He said he wasn’t joining the hero course to make friends, but Midoriya ate lunch with him everyday and others started joining one by one. One day Todoroki announced that he’d, “unlocked his tragic backstory,”(“That’s what Bakugou calls it.”) and proceeds to trauma dump on Shinsou. Shinsou wants to brainwash him into giving a villain a bouquet of flowers and asking them to marry him unprovoked, and Midoriya cackles.

He actually makes friends in the hero course, but he doesn’t admit it immediately. Shinsou isn’t used to having friends before UA, so this is new territory for him.

I have more stashed somewhere in my brain I swear, but part of this became a full on fic idea. I hope you enjoyed part one!(yes, there will be a part two).

I'm only halfway though Hbomberguy's new video and I dont know if this is a universal experience but my main horrified takeaway from hbomb's plagiarism video so far is that one of my highschools TAUGHT AN ENTIRE CLASS OF 13 YEAR OLDS TO PLAGIARISE. LIKE, ON PURPOSE.

I ended up moving to a much better highschool, but my first highschool essentially taught us to "write" essays by reading what someone else had written and then write what they said again but putting it "into your own words". Which in practice was teaching us to change, for example, "the works of Shakespeare were regarded by many as the first popular art form" to "Shakespeare's plays have been said by some to be the first example of popular media". One teacher actually told us that the process of writing an essay was "saying what the people you've researched have said, in a way where it sounds like you said it".

Like. The tactics that actual plagiarists use to hide the fact that they were stealing. An actual teacher tried to teach me to do that.

#hbomberguy #im so glad i left that school early the next year. it definitely would have gotten worse.#i literally didnt learn what a bibliography was until grade 9 because of how shit my first highschool was.#at the same time if a student wrote a paper that was 'too good' even if it was orginal theyd accuse them of stealing without proof #like i wrote a completely original paper and got the note 'this is very good - did you write it all yourself?'#fuck you man. yes i did. despite you trying to teach me to do the opposite #they accused me of getting my parents to write it for me. i had to show them everything i researched and my dad lost it at them #this was also the same school where they took every kid with a disability out of maths regardless of if they were good at maths or not #and taught them shapes like they were fucking three years old #i remember hanging out in the maths with all the other autistic kids and prentending to have never seen a triangle before for a joke #and while thats really bad and abelist. the non-disabled kids were still being taught addition and division like they were 8 and not 12 #the whole thing was a massive fuck up shit fest. it took the year 7 maths teacher leaving for us to all get the same maths class #and we STILL werent being taught to an age appropriate level because we missed so much grade 7 maths it had to be caught up in grade 8 #i would burn it down but its not a highschool anymore lol

anyways. my very first attempt at malenia

#elden ring #my post #this starts late (?) bc i didnt want to get the cutscene in the clip but fumbled to start the recording bc she does kinda rush you #and i was not at all prepared #anyways im genuinely tempted to just write a long post dumping my thoughts on malenia and her fight and how im puzzling through it #ive reached peak intrinsic motivation elden ring #the only reason why i probably should wait to make the post is bc ive only gotten as far as first phase half health #i have another recording thats abt a minute and a half long attempt and i gave it a few tries today #its worth mentioning that the night before i decided to finally start fighting malenia i told my friend (who managed to beat her) that bc #a lot of the last few endgame bosses didnt take me too long to beat i was worried that malenia wouldnt take me very long #and he just told me she would throw me into a meat grinder. and i lasted 12 seconds against her after that intro cutscene #anyways the fact that she's a very straightforward and easy to see boss makes it very easy to break her down and figure out how she #works n why she's hard and figure out a plan and everything i really like it. no particle effects just some sparks and sword trail lines #i keep getting caught by her flurry attack n today my plan (while talking to my friend) was to figure out why i kept getting caught by #it despite it being very obviously telegraphed n then putting together why i struggle with it. its REALLY fun to think technically abt her #anyways. fun part abt me getting killed by the grab + impale is that i honestly wasnt sure if that was actually implemented in the game #bc id never seen it in gameplay and. here we go. ten seconds in there it is

I think of all the approximate categories of animal, fish are unbeatable in terms of how much it would suck ass to be one. you’re basically the most edible creature on god’s earth and literally everything else wants in on that. like yeah everything eats everything but at least if you’re a bird that lives in the sky you mainly just have to worry about being eaten by other things that are in the sky, but fish? other fish are only the beginning of your problems. not only does everything in the ocean that’s bigger than you want to eat you, so do most things on land given half a chance. there are things in the sky that evolved specifically to come all the way down just to eat you. and you don’t even have arms to punch any of them with you just kinda have to sit there going :o as you’re carried away into the beyond. you have no limbs at all, in fact, so if you ever leave the water you can’t even get back to it like, if something that’s not supposed to be in the water gets in the water it can at least try to swim to shore and get out, but fish are just like “guess I’ll die.” pour one out for fish. they did not ask for this.

#I live on this little inlet that at low tide pretty much becomes a mud flat with a small stream going through the middle #and every day at low tide at this time of year a bunch of salmon get stranded in that stream #and I have to watch them desperately try and thrash their way to deeper water while halfway out of the stream as the sun beats down on them #and seagulls crowd around waiting for them to get tired enough to eat them without too much resistance #and every day I root for them even though unlike them I can see how far the inlet goes and I know they'll never make it #it's existentially horrifying but I too tried to get out there to eat one before I realized I couldn't traverse the mud #and also had no place/means to effectively clean a huge fish #to be clear I wasn't gonna just wade out there and bite into one like smeagol I was gonna bring it back and cook it #I mean I love me some raw salmon but parasites and all that #but as bad as I feel for the slow and agonizing deaths happening every day out there #I am also pained by the fact that the most delicious animal on earth throws itself on my doorstep to die every day #and I can't quite get to it #I feel no guilt over this because I would frankly give any salmon I caught a much more merciful death than the seagulls and sun do

#nezha reborn #LOOK AT HIM he is literally just... a kid...... looking for some comfort from his dad............#it's about to be 0 days since our last nonsensical overly emotional post about li yunxiang #it was never that lyx didn't care about what his father thought or didn't want for his approval because he does want it. he does care.#it was just something he accepted he wouldn't have as long as he continue to choose to do what he thought was the right thing #and the 'right thing' was important enough to him to give up on his dad's support #which says something about how important the 'right thing' is to lyx #and up till now it was fine because it affected no one but him #(and if you think about it it is kind of a very immature and idealistic mindset #because if he had gotten caught doing his little smuggling and property destruction it 100% would have affected his family #but i like that i think it's part of his character.. anyway....)#but now his refusal to do what his dad wanted him to do - get a normal job and keep his head down - is like. actively hurting his family #and altho it was the right thing and he couldn't have predicted that ao bing would go completely nuclear #or that the de group would send assassins after him because of the whole reincarnation business #you could say that kasha and li jinxiang's injuries are a direct result of him refusing to just roll over and sell ao bing his motorcycle #(which i think is exactly what ljx was gonna say before he got bodied by that monster truck lol)#and in this moment when he has effectively just put 2 of the people closest to him in the hospital #i think he can't help but look for a little comfort from his dad because he feels so so guilty and confused and upset #but he gets that door shut in his face and he's reminded that he had chosen to not have that #that he had made choices that led to this being the reality of his relationship with his dad. and he is supposed to be ok with that #and then he falls back on his anger and the moment is sort of over but like #bro... at this point li yunxiang has no one bro....#L + ratio + kasha and brother in the hospital + dad can't even look at you + dead mom + separated from extended family when you fled the wa #+ no close friends your own age #and it makes me sad because lyx must have been pretty close to his dad when he was little #i think this + the moment where he's outside the door listening to his dad talk #just fuels the miasma of guilt #guilt over his own actions. guilt over nezha's actions. questioning if he is or ever was making the right choices #but also it's not about any of that it's just about how huge and wet his eyes look here amen

finally found a better way to word my issues with art improvement and thats that obviously art with no ref is/can be a little incorrect and misguided, there are Mistakes when you're just going off of memory.

But when i do studies my art becomes too Rigid because my brain remembers the studies and yells at me if i dont proportion things "correctly" (+ also ends up Bad due to overworking to "Fix" it)...

Its hawrd to find that balance, + have it be the Loose and Fun art that comes before reminding self what something is "supposed to look like". I feel my stuff only exists between extreme ends of sloppy and rigid bc i cant find the balance

Ive seen a few very old drawings from before I started using refs more often and they almost look Better. They dont look 100% Right but they look Good. Now I overwork everything bc it doesnt look Right and it still ends up not looking Right or Good.

#i also mentioned before the whole ''it doesnt matter if it looks Right if it looks Good'' and how some people have uninformed stylization...#and i feel caught between those too...i feel like my stuff just looks like uninformed stylization...#actually scratch that‚ IT IS. bc i look at old art and its exactly what it looks like #i dont know how ppl stylize correctly. i know the rules but even when you break them it turns out that theres correct ways to break them #and i cannot do that...#i also cant tell if it looks good despite not looking right...as in my brain it just looks Wrong and (therefore) Bad #talkys #also ugh im now fully realizing the truth of youll never like your art because its Yours and you hate yourself. so discouraging.#i rlly am never going to like it. every day i wish i cld see it thru someone else's eyes bc this is so miserable. idk how to keep #going if im never going to like it or make anything im proud of #but i will bc i have to 🫶 alas #delete later

#entire book is in french...published and printed in france...it's the FIFTY-FIRST edition so presumably if it were a typo they would have #caught it before now...what the hell is happening #it does this a couple other times in the bibliography too i just didn't feel like typing them all out #any time it cites a work that is found in another work it uses 'in'. which is not a french preposition to my knowledge!!!!#i feel sure i haven't seen this in any other french bibliographies #and i've read a lot of french bibliographies #i read them to practice saying dates. but hilariously the bibliography i was reading today i got a page and a half in #before i realized i'd been pronouncing 19-- as mille huit cent instead of mille neuf cent 😩#it's because just before this i was reading the chronology of george sand's life and of course all the dates in that are in the 1800s #sidenote francophones i've never been sure about this. when you say years do you always say mille neuf cent etc etc #or do you ever shorten it somehow? like in english how we say nineteen instead of one thousand nine hundred #french #my posts

People like to make koala sabos keeper in fanon and while we haven't seen much of her in canon it's the same mom friend/pure lesbian bff thing fandom does to women close to their male blorbos and it's kinda misogynistic

I think as an escaped child slave koala should be even more vindictive and violent than sabo. She just yells at him because hes impulsive and going to GET THEM CAUGHT YOU ASSHOLE
