Ashe looks at Master Albert who is kneeling before her. She then glanced at the broken up throne where he was sitting before. Albert tried his best to talk. "to be defeated by my own creation...to say i'm not proud is lying" 'Ashe...?' Model A tried to coach Ashe out of whatever she is thinking but the girl remain interested in the throne. She had defeated one of the Sage Trinity, the literal creator of Game of Destiny, wouldn't that make her the Megaman King by default? She then switch her attention back to her suppose-only-blood-relative, he is smirking despite the pain, as if he knew what she is considering. "...you won, so naturally, everything is in your hands now" Ashe doesn't replied. She just stare at him. Isn't this the best way to gain instant fame and recognition around the world, isn't this what she had always wanted? Everyone will know her name and history will gain a whole new chapter all about her... Then she smile. "nah" She answered and Albert's face morph to confusion "Cuz' is just too easy. Where's the fun in all of that?" Ashe took a step back, smilling proudly while looking down upon Albert's defeated form. "Is that your best answer? You're most definitely one of my creations. You… have surpassed me… My research wasn't wrong after all… Goodbye… Ashe…! You can have your peace, and… rot in it!"

Junko's the Ultimate Analyst, right? So if she analyzes someone's Talent, then she can reproduce it.
Which means - like with Sakura or Akane - she could learn some sick fighting moves.
But Junko is still a scrawy ass starving model (reference: she's 5'7" and 97lbs; that girl is starving and has no muscle), so she can mimic all of the techniques but she does not have the muscle memory to keep it up and she will wear out pretty quickly. If Junko doesn't win within, what, the first five minutes? ten minutes? she's out.
(Fighting Junko is like fighting Sans. It's an endurance thing. She will wear herself out. Eventually. And then you bop her on the head and keep going.)

made all the proper preparations for a meeting with a parent, confirmed with them multiple times that the date and time of the meeting worked for them and they would be available to participate on the phone, got an updated working phone number for them, and.... they didn't answer the phone at the meeting time or at any point in the hour after the meeting time
found out later that instead they were calling the office trying to get ahold of the school psych (who, to be clear: is not involved at all in any part of the IEP process; the psych handles evaluations. this... was not an evaluation. and there has not been a recent or even semi-recent evaluation) to complain that she never answers the parent's calls
well... yes, babe! because she's busy doing her actual job! astonishing.
based on this parent's track record they're going to be calling the office and/or the psych tomorrow on loop just to holler about how we aren't doing our jobs right and they're going to sue us. not me tho! never me first! always someone else to try and get them to do someone else's (my) job because they don't like me. only after they talk to a handful of other people and make the same complaints will they maybe, maybe call me. if they call my classroom phone i'm not even going to bother picking up. they'd just start screaming obscenities in the middle of class anyway.
maybe if they hadn't spent an hour actively dodging attempts from the SPED department (me) to contact them, they could have talked to someone like they claimed they wanted, but oh well! i meticulously documented every step of this process so there's no need for me to keep chasing this parent, and i don't even have the time to have a little appeasement meeting with them; i have other meetings every day through the last day of school, and then i'm out. tough luck for them!

It continues to trip me up how much human brains are just weird organic computers
#thoughts#oni talks#oni vents#additionally wild that the easiest ways for me to explain brain stuff are generally in computer or video game terms despite the fact I’m#notoriously awful with computers (and to a lesser extent video games) although I won’t if my natural inclination would be different if I#didn’t have trauma related to computers/if maybe it’s the classic adhd interest based learning difference? unknown tbh#I still really wanna go to school to study people but academics is fucked as hell so making that work will be a personal hell for me#but also I have so many theories and data I can’t do anything super tangible with coz I’m not in an academic setting so even if i wanted to#talk about stuff and work on it no one would take me seriously w/o that academic background no matter how much effort I’d put in learning it#on my own for my entire life at this point it won’t matter if it’s not on some level acknowledged by an academic system I despise tbh#it’s one of those things that makes me miss my dad coz we used to commiserate together about these sorts of things tho he made it work far#better than I have been able to. i wish i could ask him science questions again.#anyway human brains are so fascinating but also I really wish I was better at explaining myself analysis of people I feel like I’m good#enough at this point to be like partway understood coz I’ve done so much practice on my own coz I tend to rehearse explanations ahead of tim#but its still often misunderstood or misconstrued & it’s understandable a lot of the time coz like most other people aren’t spending a ton#of their free time thinking about and researching how people work/analyzing those around them+themselves vs me whose been doing since like#I dont remember the exact time but I do remember being really young & making the conscious decision to study & analyze my family for example#so that I could be helpful & translate their words to each other better + ppl often don’t see things about themselves that others do#also forever thinking about the human brain/experience in relation to the sims & video game commands lmao#currently trying to explain save states in the human brain to ppl but no one knows wtf I’m talking about#& researching academic terms that are close to what I want doesn’t necessarily work if there’s no academic term for what I’m talking about#hence wanting to do the research myself coz sometimes it feels like there’s all this stuff that’s obvious to me but no one else?? from what#I’ve seen in recent studies they are only starting to scratch the surface of stuff I’ve already known sometimes? other stuff is older & it’s#VERY gratifying when it’s stuff I’ve known but not been listened to about & it actually gets the proper recognition#though getting ppl to actually listen/take what I say seriously is its own journey & I have to be careful myself bc I’m human so my own#understanding/data is constantly updating + I have storage issues so finding the data I have in my brain is its own struggle sometimes#every version of me is interested in people & I think that’s neat even if other people don’t understand that concept#sometimes I feel like an alien/robot whose sole task is just to study & support humanity & it’s very weird tbh

I'm gonna need y'all to think a bit more critically on the feeling that food recalls are spiking. Two things can be true, and that other thing is that technology for detecting pathogens in food is getting better. As with the refinement of au/DHD diagnostics, more sensitive tests lead to better diagnosis. It's not that there are more recalls now than ever necessarily because u.s. food is worse, it can also be because the systems currently in place (*statement not applicable after future cuts) are able to "do more with less" after trump's last term cuts thanks to ✨️Science✨️.
"According to the data published by the FDA, there have not been more food and beverage recalls compared to last year,” says Wade Syers, D.Soc.Sci. [Jan 29, 2025]
"Last year" is doing a lot of work here to quell suspicion, because the fallout specifically from trump's January 2017 and January 2021 cuts have been building for years, but it's still important to keep in mind that you might be seeing the [red corvette] more often because you are primed to see red corvettes by being on high alert hypervigilance thanks to the barrage of policy changes throwing off your limbic system, making you feel a constant state of threat.
It is super scary that there are so many "deadly" classifications in popular food categories, just please try not to fall into the same traps you laugh at the other side for.
Anyone with a milk allergy needs to be on high alert. In the midst of a flurry of ongoing food recalls, the FDA has updated its initial recall of a handful of Cal Yee Farms' chocolate products to the highest risk level. Originally, the FDA announced a recall of numerous Cal Yee Farm products because they may have contained undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6, and/or almonds. The recall has now been elevated by the FDA to the most serious level of recall, Class 1, for only a few of the affected products: the company's dark chocolate almonds, dark chocolate apricots, and dark chocolate walnuts because the chocolates contained undeclared milk.

Mastering Enzyme Kinetics: Step-by-Step PPT for Students and Researchers
If you are a student or researcher in biology or chemistry, understanding enzyme kinetics is very important. Our bodies naturally contain enzymes that aid in accelerating chemical reactions. Enzyme kinetics means studying how fast these enzymes work and what affects their speed. But enzyme kinetics can feel confusing because of the terms and math involved. That’s why using a step-by-step…

are tone indicators REALLY for autism?
dont autistic people already go through life without tone indicators? online or in person doesnt make a difference. they lack social instinct anyways and probably substituted it with cold logic
isnt it non autistic people that go by vibes? they would be the ones that need tone indicators yeah?
you see what i mean right?
sure they probably do help both categories. but ableism for not using them? i dont think so. i think it probably favors the average person actually.

"The first modern attempt at transferring a uterus from one human to another occurred at the turn of the millennium. But surgeons had to remove the organ, which had become necrotic, 99 days later. The first successful transplant was performed in 2011 — but even then, the recipient wasn’t immediately able to get pregnant and deliver a baby. It took three more years for the first person in the world with a transplanted uterus to give birth.
More than 70 such babies have been born globally in the decade since. “It’s a complete new world,” said Giuliano Testa, chief of abdominal transplant at Baylor University Medical Center.
Almost a third of those babies — 22 and counting — have been born in Dallas at Baylor. On Thursday, Testa and his team published a major cohort study in JAMA analyzing the results from the program’s first 20 patients. All women were of reproductive age and had no uterus (most having been born without one), but had at least one functioning ovary. Most of the uteri came from living donors, but two came from deceased donors.
Fourteen women had successful transplants, all of whom were able to have at least one baby.
“That success rate is extraordinary, and I want that to get out there,” said Liza Johannesson, the medical director of uterus transplants at Baylor, who works with Testa and co-authored the study. “We want this to be an option for all women out there that need it.”
Six patients had transplant failures, all within two weeks of the procedure. Part of the problem may have been a learning curve: The study initially included only 10 patients, and five of the six with failed transplants were in that first group. These were “technical” failures, Testa said, involving aspects of the surgery such as how surgeons connected the organ’s blood vessels, what material was used for sutures, and selecting a uterus that would work well in a transplant.
The team saw only one transplant fail in the second group of 10 people, the researchers said. All 20 transplants took place between September 2016 and August 2019.
Only one other cohort study has previously been published on uterus transplants, in 2022. A Swedish team, which included Johannesson before she moved to Baylor, performed seven successful transplants out of nine attempts. Six women, including the first transplant recipient to ever deliver a baby back in 2014, gave birth.
“It’s hard to extract data from that, because they were the first ones that did it,” Johannesson said. “This is the first time we can actually see the safety and efficacy of this procedure properly.”
So far, the signs are good: High success rates for transplants and live births, safe and healthy children so far, and early signs that immunosuppressants — typically given to transplant recipients so their bodies don’t reject the new organ — may not cause long-term harm, the researchers said. (The uterine transplants are removed after recipients no longer need them to deliver children.) And the Baylor team has figured out how to identify the right uterus for transfer: It should be from a donor who has had a baby before, is premenopausal, and, of course, who matches the blood type of the recipient, Testa said...
“They’ve really embraced the idea of practicing improvement as you go along, to understand how to make this safer or more effective. And that’s reflected in the results,” said Jessica Walter, an assistant professor of reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, who co-authored an editorial on the research in JAMA...
Walter was a skeptic herself when she first learned about uterine transplants. The procedure seemed invasive and complicated. But she did her fellowship training at Penn Medicine, home to one of just four programs in the U.S. doing uterine transplants.
“The firsts — the first time the patient received a transplant, the first time she got her period after the transplant, the positive pregnancy test,” Walter said. “Immersing myself in the science, the patients, the practitioners, and researchers — it really changed my opinion that this is science, and this is an innovation like anything else.” ...
Many transgender women are hopeful that uterine transplants might someday be available for them, but it’s likely a far-off possibility. Scientists need to rewind and do animal studies on how a uterus might fare in a different “hormonal milieu” before doing any clinical trials of the procedure with trans people, Wagner said.
Among cisgender women, more long-term research is still needed on the donors, recipients, and the children they have, experts said.
“We want other centers to start up,” Johannesson said. “Our main goal is to publish all of our data, as much as we can.”"
