~Snotlout x reader Pt 1~

An: Guess who went to the theater again to see httyd. MEEEE! Guess who has a little crush on Gabriel Howell. ME!

Summary: Snotlout is being his normal big egoed self. But ever since hiccup and Astrid got together he promised Hiccup he’d stop flirting with Astrid. But of course that meant Snotlout had a new object of affection, you.

Snotlout was a real Viking. Big, loud, and egotistical. You’ve seen the way he throws himself at girls. He flexes his muscles and waits for them to swoon. You didn’t find him appealing. He was too arrogant. Despite this you still hung out with him. He was friends with your friends so it’s not like you could really avoid him.

As usual while you were sitting in the mead hall with your friends Snotlout came bashing in showing off the huge fish him and hookfang caught. Hookfang could probably eat it in seconds flat and just like that it would be gone and Snotlout would have nothing more to boast about.

You didn’t so much mind his need for attention as much as you minded the way he expected the attention. Like it was his right. You knew his father didn’t pay him much attention but it still bothered you that Snotlout would pout and throw a fit if he didn’t get the attention he wanted.

He came over to the table that Astrid, Hiccup, Fishlegs, the twins, and I were sitting at. I didn’t bother to look up from my stew to see where he would sit. I pretty much knew his routine. Sit right next to Astrid, flirt with her, get punched, and waddle over to sit next to the twins.

You felt the spot near you get warmer and realized that Snotlout sat down next to you. Why you? His spot is next to Astrid or pouting next to the twins. Why is he next to you? And why is he so close? You could practically hear his heart beating.

“Snotface why are you so close? Do you mind?” I slide over on the bench to create some distance between us.

He lets out a sad “hey” at the name calling but just slides over to meet my side again.

He smells of fish and sweat. If he was on the other side of the table that would still be too close. “Snotlout please, you smell like fish. If you wanted to sit so close to me you could have at least washed.” I groan at him attempting to shove him over on the bench. But to no avail. He once again scoots closer. “I give up” I say throwing my hands up. I get up and walk out the doors of the hall.

Later in the day I go out to the big hill that looks over the village, its a nice place to relax. I was drawing up some fun armor for my dragon and just enjoying the way the wind feels blowing on my face and through my hair.

Suddenly a big gush of wind hits me. The strong flap of hookfang’s wings nearly knocks me over. “Snotlout what are you doing?” I ask not so much caring as I am just looking for an explanation to why my nice afternoon is being so rudely interrupted.

“Hiccup said you hang out here sometimes��� he says like it’s obvious.

“And you are here……because…..?” I try to my best to not jump on his head and wrestle him to the ground for being so annoying and self centered.

“I wanted to see what a pretty girl like you was up to.” He shoots me a smile and slides off of Hookfang. “So what are you doing? Reading?” He points to my sketch book. “Ohhhh drawing. I didn’t know you could draw” he plops himself down next to me. Thankfully he isnt practically sitting on my leg.

“Yeah I come out here to get away from it all and just create. Sometimes I just doodle and sometimes I draw up some armor that hiccup helps me make.” I’m not quite sure why I’ve decided to tell him all of this but I chalk it up to assuming he won’t leave me alone if I ask.

He leans over to take a look at my sketches. “Woah! Those are really cool. Do you think you could draw hookfang and I up something?” I giggle and agree. I can’t help but notice he smells much better than early. More fresh and less like fish. “How was fishing?”

He shoots up from his spot next to me and he is beaming. “It was great. Hookfang and I found this spot by the beach and there are tons of fish. They are much bigger than ones I’ve seen before. There are also a few shiny colorful ones. We didn’t want to fish them because they looked so nice swimming around. I can take you to see them. It’s dark but I can take you in the morning.

“Were there any fancy red fish?” I ask him patting the spot next to me.

His eyes light up and he takes a seat. “There were! There were mostly some orange and purple ones but there were a few other colors. I think I saw a pink one but hookfang called me crazy.”

I’ve never really seen this side of Snotlout before. He was calmer and passionate. Like he really wanted to share with me rather than boast.

“So said you could take me to see them in the morning?” I say wrapping my arms around myself. The wind has started to go from cooling to chilling.

Snotlout moved in a little closer and offered up his body heat. “Hookfang and I will come by your house in the morning. You should bring your dragon too. There are plenty of fish to eat.”

I lean into his side and take in his warmth. “Yeah. Sounds like fun..but can we head back to the village. It’s starting to get really cold up here. “ he nods his head and we start walking back to the heart of berk.

The next morning I hear knock at my door. I wipe the sleep out of my eyes and shuffle to the door. “Hmm, Snotlout it’s still so early. Why are you here so early?” I ask with my eyes half closed.

“I thought seeing the sunrise on the beach might be nice or whatever” Snotlout looked around the house and picked up my childhood toy pony. “Who’s this?” He asked prancing her around.

I laugh at his playing “Thats stargazer. My mom made it for me when I was little.” I take it from him and put it on my bed. “So are you ready to go see the fish?”

“Sure am” he put his arm around me and guided me to where hookfang was. “You wanna ride with me princess? Hookfang is like a seat warmer”

“I am going to ride my dragon…but thanks for the offer Snotlout” I duck out from under his arm, pat hookfang on the head, and hop on my dragon.

Once we arrive at the beach hookfang bucks Snotlout off his back. After he got up out of the sand he ran over to me and offered me a hand off my dragon. “Wow what a gentleman.” I take his hand sliding off my dragon and straighten out his helmet. “Does hookfang always throw you?

“We are just practicing an emergency escape plan incase we ever have to split up really fast. Hookfang would never throw me off his back on purpose. He respects me” just as Snotlout said that Hookfang huffed and knocked him over with his wing. “Bad hookfang! There will be repercussions for this!” Snotlout shouts with sand all in his hair.

I laughed a little bit. “Oh hookfang you naughty dragon”. I helped Snotlout up and brushed the sand out of his hair. “Hmm. I don’t think I’ve seen you without your helmet. You actually have really nice hair Snotlout.” I say still brushing the sand from it.

“Yeah my hair is pretty awesome isnt it. You can like totally play with it whenever you want or whatever.” I could feel his ego starting to drop.

“You wanna show me the fish now?” I ask walking over to the water.

He walks over to the edge of the water and points to a shiny purple one. “That one is nice but it’s not as nice as the red one we saw yesterday”. I hang off of Snotlouts arm and wiggle with excitement. He turns to me and says “I’ll make sure you see a red one.” I smile at his determination and take a look at the beach. The way the sun is coming up above the water is beautiful. “Snotlout look” I point to the horizon.

We watch the sunrise as we look for the pretty fish in the sea. Our dragons are playing around and getting to know each other better. Snotlout and I have taken a seat on some rocks near the waters edged. It’s just high enough to look right over the water without feeling like we will fall in. But even so he has an arm wrapped around my back just incase.

“You are really nice company when you aren’t worried about impressing people. Why do you care so much anyways?” I say leaning on him a bit more.

“I don’t care. People should just know how cool I am. I’m a great Viking” he puffs out his chest flexs his muscles and nearly knocks me off the rocks. “Snotlout!” I loose my balance on the rock but he quickly grabs my hands and I regain my balance. “I almost just cracked my skull opened on these rocks because you are so worried about how you appear to others.” I scoff.

He sighs and doesn’t look at me. “I just want people to know I’m strong. Youve seen my dad. Hes a great big ol’ Viking. Hes tough and nothing can take him down. He doesn’t do feelings, he makes people fear him. I need to be just like him. I want him to be proud of me.”

I feel bad for him. He shouldn’t have to beg for his father’s approval but I just wish he would be his own person. Just act the way he truly wants to. “Snotlout. You don’t have to be your dad. You are different from your father. You train dragons. You are apart of Berks best riders. You are known all around the village. You are Snotlout and you are impressive in your own way.”

Tears well up in his eyes and he try’s to blink them away but to no avail. I hold his face and wipe the salty tears off of his face. “It’s ok to just be you Snotlout. People will like you for who you are. Not for who you are pretending to be.”

Then, after he tries to convince her to join him back at Dragon's Edge. 4. httyd 3 chief Hiccup x dragon trapper/hunter reader I think it was the first scene of the raid. But it's like it. Anyway, it starts off as they fight on the giant hunter boat. Their like enemies to lovers trope. Hiccup and the crew were separated. After the lone heated battle with the reader from the other side of the ship, they kissed and fucked, then after Hiccup tried to convince the reader to go with him and join their crew, she accepted his offer.

pairing: Prince Aegon ii Targaryen x Lady-in-waiting! Reader prompt: Aegon kidnaps you to ride on dragonback, it does not go well. word count: 1, 000+ words

You had been very very firm when it came to dragon's. You were no Targaryen nor held a drop of Valyrian blood in your veins. Sure, you like to gawk at them in art. The dozen paintings, stained glass windows, and books that filled the Red Keep were enough. You would never dare to go near one in real life. Dragon’s were not natural. To ride one, to tame one, it was not natural. A lot of the things that the Targaryen’s did were not natural. 

So when you started as Helaena's Lady-in-waiting, you did everything you could to politely refuse to be near them. Need to go to the Dragonpits? The carriage was nice and comfy, no need to leave it. When Helaena offered to fly with her? Suddenly you grew ill with a cough. Helaena accepted, understanding your fears. She offered kind words and an open invitation should you ever change your mind on the matter.

Aegon was, as always, different. The word 'no'  just could not connect in that tiny little brain of his. He took it as a challenge. He would jest about kidnapping you and taking you flying. You laughed and told him you'd push him out of a window if he dared to do it. 

Of course, he had tried once with a look a little too serious on his face. After waddling away, clutching his groin from your hard kick, he learned that it would not be easy to get you on dragonback. You’d fight back. You would be a challenge, he liked that a lot.

Kicking and screaming at the top of your lungs, you did everything you could think of to get free of Aegon's hold. Clawing at his arms wrapped around your waist, he dragged you along to the Dragonpits, the dragon keeper's onlooking in confusion and mild horror. You could give less of a shit if they thought you mad. There was no way in the Seven Hells that you were going on a flight with Aegon. You'd rather kiss the King's rotten lips than to go flying.

"No! Put me down, you drunken oaf!" You shout, thrashing against him.

"No."

"I am going to kick you so hard you'd never be able to get it up again, Aegon! Put me down!" You bellow, yanking at his hair.

"Not a chance, we are going flying." Aegon brushes off your threats, "You will enjoy it. Tis' delightful."

Letting out a loud scream into his ear, he did not falter, running off of pure spite and stubbornness. It would have been admirable, if it was not for the fact he was dragging you along to go flying. Yanking hard on his hair, he yelps loudly, though his grip does not falter. Gods damn it, why did he have to be strong? Sensing that fighting would not help you, you tried another way.

"Please, please, Aegon." You beg, "I'll give up my desserts for a whole moon. Just let me go."

"Tempting." He chuckles, a smirk on his face.

"Please, Aegon. I do not wish to fly." You beg, on the verge of tears.

"I fly all the time. Once I even did it drunk, tis' nothing dangerous." He scoffs, rolling his eyes. 

Shaking your head frantically as his grip tightens, he drags you into the dark cave, the stench of dragon thick in the air. The few torchlights in the cave illuminated enough to see his dragon, Sunfyre, burrowing into his rocky nest. Feeling tears of fear bubbling up, you go deadly silent, losing your voice. This was your worst dream come true. Face to face with a dragon. Holding back the whimper in your throat, Aegon presses a kiss onto your temple, refusing to let you go.

“He won’t harm you. He’s used to your scent.” Aegon whispers into your ear, “I brought him one of your dresses to smell.”

“Let me go.” You whimper out, voice full of pure terror. 

“Come on, you’re already here. Let’s just go for a quick flight.” Aegon argues, shaking his head dismissively. 

“Aegon..”

Slowly letting go of your waist, you go to bolt for the cave exit, only to be swept back up into Aegon’s arms. He carried you like a toddler who had a habit of running away. Letting out a loud cry as he refused to put you back down, he wags his finger mockingly, a half amused look on his face. Hearing Sunfyre stir in his nest, you try more desperately to get away, the rumbling of the dragon echoing loudly in the cave. 

“No, no, no.” He scolds, “Bad Y/n. No running away.”

“Put me down! I want to go back to the Red Keep!” 

“No, if I have to attend Court, then you cannot escape this.” He suggests, “Consider this your duty.”

“Fuck duty. Put me down, Aegon!” You sob, bottom lip wobbling. 

“Ooh, so now we do not care about duty, hm?” He mocks, shaking his head with a smirk.

Pressing a gentle kiss onto your temple, he carried you closer and closer to Sunfyre, until the two of you were right in the dragon’s face. Feeling your grip tighten on him, he slowly smiles at the feeling, like see you so unlike yourself. This had to be the first time he had seen you act so improper and anxious. It was refreshing, amazing, and amusing all at the same time. 

Smiling bright as Sunfyre stirs away, the golden dragon huffs at the two of you, his two large green eyes staring back. Puffing his chest out in pride, he hoped the sight of his dragon would impress you and make you swoon. His dragon always got compliments. Looking down at your face, there was not an ounce of admiration or awe or anything positive, only terror. 

“He’s pretty is he not?” He gloats proudly, “You know, they say he is the prettiest dragon to have ever been hatched.”

“If I survive this, I am going to kill you.” You whisper out, face pale.

“Stop speaking as if you are going to die. Sunfyre would not dare to attack, not whilst I am here.” He scoffs, rolling his eyes.

“I’ve seen your dragon, can we leave now. I want to go back to the Red Keep, Aegon.” You whimper, tears bubbling up in your eyes.

"No. Don't you dare." He argues, "Don't you dare do the whole crying trick on me. I am not foolish like Helaena and can be swayed."

Watching as you sniffle and whimper, his grip tightens on you, not wanting to give up just yet. Seeing the big puppy dog eyes you give him, he grits his teeth, tensing up. He falter's for a moment. He was always sucker for those big puppy dog eyes of yours. You knew how to make him crumble.

"No, no, no, don't give me that look." He tries to resist.

"Please, Aegon."

"No. Stop that." He shakes his head, "Stop that right now. I demand you stop that."

"I..I want to go home, Aegon. Please, take me home." You beg, sniffling.

Letting out an exasperated groan at you begging and pleading to go home, he begrudgingly agrees to it, knowing that it would be no fun if you cried the entire time. Scowling like a child who had its toy taken away, he loosens his grip on you, putting you back down onto your feet. One day he’d get you on dragonback. Sadly, just not today.

"Aegon, please, I want to go home." You whimper, tears streaming down your flushed cheeks.

“Fine, fine, stop crying.” He grumbles, “But next time, we are going to actually get on the dragon.”

Httyd characters falling in love with you

A/N: Some characters (Hiccup, Tuff, Ruff and Astrid) in this headcanon are from httyd 1.

⤷ Hiccup

Hiccup would admiring you. He would admire every little thing about you and every little think you did. You were the only one who wasn't making fun of him for not being 'strong' enough, which made him fall in love with you. He would be blushing every time you touch him. And he would be shy around you. Everyone can saw how is he looking at you. Because he have so much love in his eyes. It's incredible. It took him a two days than he starts conversation with you by himself. But it was worth it! And don't worry soon he won't be able to hold his love for you anymore so he will tell you, soon.

⤷ Eret

Eret would be the one who would take it well. He knew he would fall in love someday. And he is glad it's you. But still he would be nervous and sometimes little flustered because I think he don't have any experience with dating. He was aimed on dragon hunting and with Drago's goal. But after the war with Drago, he could talk to you and support his feelings for you. He likes eating with you. Breakfast, lunch or dinner - doesn't matter, what matter is that he is with you. I don't think that Eret had some good food when he was hunting so that's why he likes eating with you. He would tell you his feeling after a month.

⤷ Tuffnut

After Tuff realized that he's in love with you, he would try to make you laugh, all day. And he would try impress you. Keyword 'try'. Because he failed multiple times, but he is still trying and he won't give up. One time he was trying to impress you about how intelligent he is, but he made himself look more dumb than he actually is. Ruffnut just laugh at him and she would tease him about it, like a LOT. Once she almost told you about Tuff's crush on you. Tuffnut beat her ass after that. He would try to flirt with you but it's similar with his 'impress try'. He would tell you after two or three months.

⤷ Grimmel

He would ignore you at first. He don't know how to love someone and he never thought he would fall in love. He didn't have a time for love, back then. And he will be frustrated about it. But he's just afraid, and he doesn't why which frustrates him. He would try talk to you and it would take him five tries to start talking to you. He maybe doesn't talk much bu he is definitely watching you. If he saw you getting uncomfortable he would help you. But discreetly, so no one knows. He would tell you his feeling after a year.

⤷ Snotlout

Constantly flirting and cocky comments. He would try to make good impression on you but Hookfang ruins it. Hookfang loves teasing him about it and ruins his flirting tries. But I think at some point he would be insecure because he would be stressed from his father. Playful fights. He loves to tease you when you lose. One time someone stole your dragon so you, Snotlout and Hookfang tried to find him/her. You sat behind Snotlout with your arms around his waist, which already made him feel nervous but you fall asleep on him. When he noticed you fall asleep on HIM - he felt amazing. Because you trust him to the point when you can fall asleep next to him. You trust him that hi will protect you. He would confess his feeling after a five months.

⤷ Astrid

Astrid would be... confused. She have to focus on her training and on becoming the strongest viking. She just don't have time for love. But she can't command love, so when she didn't focused on her feelings they just grow up and now they were bigger and more stronger. So she couldn't hold them anymore. She would try talk to you and try to find what you like. She would think about you a lot. At first she couldn't sleep because everything she had in mind was you, but she get use to it. And now you are the reason why she's going in bed early, so she can think about you. She would tell you her feeling after eight months.

⤷ Ruffnut

Ruffnut can fall in love pretty easily, but he crushes didn't last longer than few days. You prove her wrong tho, she had a crush on you for a six months but she still isn't ready to tell you. She loves spending her time with you. Most common things you two do are sleepovers and having lunch together. You two can talk for hours and don't get bored. Tuff would tease her about it which in most cases end up a fight. She would let you play with her hair. And she feel so calm when you are around. She would tell you her feelings when she is ready.
