天官赐福: Tragic tale of an alternative ending.
My mind did this, I suffered and now I share my tears. 😭
Note that this has spoilers of the very end of the series and I'd say this tale has an open ending.
---
Once upon a time, in the celestial realms, there was a Flower Crown Prince who ascended to godhood thrice.
He deeply loved the Crimson Ghost King, his devoted believer since childhood. Together, they solved countless mysteries and conflicts in the heavenly realm.
The revelation that shook the three realms to their core was about the heavenly Emperor himself. It turned out that he, along many other things, was actually one of the four ghost supremes, the very reason for the Crown Prince's kingdom downfall.
Despiste defeating the wicked Emperor, victory came with a price.
To shatter the chains of the Crown Prince's true potential that they needed to win, the Crimson Ghost King sacrificed all his strength, fading away into thousands of silver butterflies while promising of his return.
The Crown Prince waited.
Even after everyone else had given up hope that his lover would return, the Crown Prince continued to wait. After all, it took 800 years for them to be together the first time, and he was prepared to wait even longer if necessary.
One year passed.
Then a hundred.
Many gods perished and were vanished.
A thousand years.
Many don't even know who this elder Prince is waiting for.
Many thousands of years went by.
Some even ceased to pray to the gods.
And to this day, he still waits. With a soft smile on his face and a heart full of kindness, he waits.
This is why the Flower Crown Prince that resides in his garden is called "the god of loyalty," "the god of devotion," "the god of love," "the god of hope," and "the unfortunate angel".
And so, like an unwithering flower, he stands, graceful and serene, patiently awaiting the return of his beloved butterfly.
