Out this week: Hulk Annual #1 (Marvel, $4.99):
We’re kind of between Hulk titles at the moment, with the previous series having ended and the new one kicking of next month. But the character still gets an annual this year, and it sounds intriguing: David Pepose and Caio Majado will present a “found footage” take on the Hulk, as a young film crew attempts to make the documentary of a lifetime. Things don’t go well for them.

Young Filmmakers Explore the Truth About The Hulk in “Hulk Annual”
Marvel Comics has revealed that this year’s Hulk Annual over-sized issue will give a new perspective on The Hulk. The tale “The Viridian Project” hails from writer David Pepose and artist Caio Majado. The comic will also include a preview of the next era of The Hulk.
“The Viridian Project” is a put together from found footage as a group of young documentary filmmakers, trying to discover the truth behind the “monster at the heart of a gamma radiation leak, but they get much more than they bargained for when they’re caught in the middle of a brawl between two unstoppable giants, as Hulk battles an unleashed Giganto!”
Hulk Annual #1, featuring a cover by Gary Frank, goes on sale on May 17, 2023.

it's been 11 years and i don't think many (if any) mcu projects are nearly as quotable as the avengers
like they've been trying for a decade but you just can't replicate that
