This week, my veterinarian roommate brought home a 16yo deaf kitty who was scheduled to be euthanized because she vomits “all the time”. She has been with us for 4 days now, and hasn’t vomited yet. Some people should not have pets. Glad we were able to give her a last minute forever-home for her final years. She’s a total snuggle-bug and sweetie pie.

100 Years of Decrepitude
100 years ago—in 1924—humans who died left behind nothing unnatural. Everything they made would eventually return to the earth, even their poisons. Wood, leather, paper, bone, copper, tin, steel, mercury. Today, each human leaves behind tons of trash that cannot be reused and will remain as toxic waste for thousands of years.
Every toothbrush.
Every pair of sneakers.
Every plastic toy.
Every plastic to-go cup.
They still exist somewhere and will exist even after you die, slowly turning to toxic dust to poison future generations.

Fucking sucks. If my neighbors didnt decide to party all night and light up my backyard like the noon day sun, I might have a chance of seeing a the northern lights tonight as the poles flip. Very much unhappy now.

Can we go back to this for a sec? To Aziraphale having to explain the concept of being in love to the other angels? Because I cannot imagine what a trip it has to be, falling in love with someone when that is literally not something you are supposed to be able to do. When it is something you barely understand. When the object of whatever this is isn't supposed to be able to feel this way either, except as time goes on you start to realize it's happening to him too. And neither of you can actually talk to each other about it.

On one hand, Young Justice is kind of neglected by the actual superheroes that should be looking out for them in a lot of crucial ways and very much failed by the adults around them
But on the other hand Red Tornado straight up hosts a parent-teacher conference where their respective legal guardians all show up, barring Batman who’s in traffic so Nightwing fills in instead because Robin’s dad does not know he’s a vigilante which is objectively hilarious

I will never understand how it's more Humane to murder animals instead of let them roam free and see if they survive. Cuz one is instant death. The other is chance at life. I just think that's to make humans feel better about their poor choices.

When you realize stuff like Princess Mononoke were inspired by real biological variation that humans have limited...
