Everyone watched as Taylor Swift disappeared into the stage in the diamond, in the middle of the stage. As the colours of the stage changed from black it transformed into a pink-purple colour.

Penelope lets out a gasp. "It's the Speak Now era!" She jumps around, looking up at Kate (only glancing at Colin for a split second). "It's the Speak Now era!" She said to Kate.

Penelope was the biggest Swiftie that Colin knew, she was closely followed by Kate and Hyacinth. When he looked down his row at his baby sister, it looked like there were tears in her eyes. He knew that the Speak Now era would forever be Hyacinth's favourite.

The gentle acoustic guitars meant it could only be one song she was going to be, Enchanted.

"There I was again tonight, forcing laughter, faking smiles. Same old tired, lonely place, walls of insincerity. Shifting eyes and vacancy, vanished when I saw your face. All I can say is it was enchanting to meet you."

Penelope and the two Swifties wrapped their arms around each other as Taylor Swift walked out in a long ballgown. Exactly how Penelope always imagined a ballgown.

If Penelope wasn't in a relationship with someone, she was definitely in love with whoever it was - Colin wished it was on him. But, when he remembers the guy she took to her prom...

What do you do to decide your matches? /genq

Well, anon, let me introduce you to my unique kind of autism. (Read more because it's a long text)

Aside from just having a lot of knowledge about general info of the enstars cast and being a mushy little romantic, I try and keep in mind relationship dynamics I like as well as what the person I'm working on the match-up for wrote.

As weird as it might sound, I like to just think about each character's general role in relationships and can picture the things they'd like and enjoy about their partner(s). Like that's what I think about as I fall asleep each night lol

But, as I said previously, I also keep things such as Typology in mind... which leads to me looking at something I created.

Basically, I keep spreadsheets for my special interests - Enstars included. I organize all sorts of info just for fun, even if it's mostly useless, but I find it to be incredibly entertaining to do :)

But, specifically, on one page of my spreadsheet for Enstars, I built a little compatibility calculator inspired by Son's - going into further depth and with some different values.

(The example gif has my info in, just to show how it sort of works. Select what ages you'd want included, and what inputs to keep in mind when calculating the average percent.)

Most of the character info comes from PDB, which I happen to not be the biggest fan of for Typology, but I don't want to retype everyone myself until I'm more confident in my typing abilities. In general, it is a HEAVY wip, I want to add even more than what's in there already (Son's uses more Zodiac stuff, which I want to look into for sure!)

I use it more of a quick reference for certain information than as an actual 'calculator' or anything like that. Percentiles are subjective, plenty of resources disagree on who is more compatible with who - really, it's all for fun!

Circling back to your question: The sheet comes into play with my matches after I start off with a list for 4-5 characters just based off of my own thoughts. Then I'll check to see what you may have in common with the characters, etc, etc, then go from there to narrow down and pick your final match.

Hyacinth Cafe Intro Post

(colloquially known as aroace butler cafe amongst my friends) I'm not sure how to write this as I've never written an intro post for a visual novel before but here we go:

What is it? The Hyacinth Cafe, Hy Cafe for short, is a visual novel with an aroace twist. The drawings and screenshots I've put on here under the tag "project: the hyacinth cafe" are directly related to it.

Who is the protagonist? Micah, last name currently not decided. Two steps at best from being a hikkiko-NEET / shut-in; programmer, the person who's bringing back the concept of nonbinary people just being some guy in sweatpants; has the one friend who adopted him in middle school and who he is terrified will one day realise that he isn't shit, pronouns are not anyone's problem because no one knows he exists (he. they. don't look at me.) Here's Micah:

Okay, nice to meet you Micah. What is the plot? Micah [lastname], two steps away from being a shut-in, gets dragged out by his best (and only friend) Laurie Goodman-Boakye to a local butler cafe after she wins their bi-annual lottery that gets her free access to the cafe's top six most popular butlers for an in-cafe chat and off-site date, nominating Micah in her place. "You're going to learn how to talk to people, and *men*, so help me God." Micah is aspec and arospec, doesn't care enough to figure it out, but more than that, he is so poorly socialised that he needs to interact with more people to figure it out. Laurie knows this and thrust him headfirst into the chance of a lifetime.

Oooooooo, who are the butlers??? If you've been on this blog long enough, you've seen most of them. There's Six (character: six tag on this blog), Yoh (same format), Avery, Lloyd and Jihoon. They all have very different styles and approaches to their job and interacting with each of them presents new challenges for our hissing cat of an MC.

What's the aroace twist? Well, each butler has their own route (and there's a secret 7th one) but each route has two potential endings of "trad romance" (none of them are straightforward trad romance, you know what i mean) or Something Else. Some of them will end up being friends. Some of them end up going back to being acquaintances. Some of them won't talk to you again for neutral reasons or positive reasons — not everyone deals with heartbreak the same way. That's the aroace twist here.

When will it be released? God knows. Just join me for the ride, G. I'm coding and drawing all the sprites (and hopefully CGs) myself. And I've got a plethora of things going on at all times. I don't know when this will be done anymore than you do.

What will it be available on when eventually released? On PC.
