Now listen: I'm not against a redemption arc for Tyler in the next seasons. He's definitely going to come back to make a mess of things then get better. Maybe he will even go to Nevermore at some point? But before that, someone needs to make him pay. And I'd like to remind that we still didn't see much from Xavier's dark side that Ajax mentioned... 🙄

Now imagine: Wednesday and Xavier's relationship is obviously going to evolve for the better, but then surprise crazy mofos, Tyler's baaack. Xavier's going to go ballistic like "uh uh nope. No way. She's mine now" and engage in some crazy dark revenge to get back at him for assaulting him, killing Rowan and fooling Wednesday.

Mikoto time!! Thank you for the request -- I know it's risky posting headcanons so close to Double, but I'll come back and ammend anything that might be proven wrong on Wednesday 😂

🧸 A headcanon about their childhood: Through his early schooling years, Mikoto was present for a lot of extracurricular activities. He didn't always care/give his all, he just enjoyed hanging out with others and fooling around. The reason he can be such good friends with everyone is because he's picked up on tons of little things over the years by dabbling in all those arts, fields of study, sports, etc. Once he finds out your hobby, he can immediately retrieve some bit of knowledge/memory to get a conversation going, or even join in the activity. Mahiru is pleasantly surprised by his classic literature references, gardening club gets him on Shidou's good side, Muu likes talking to him about fashion tips, he can play sports with Fuuta, he tries to bond over band memories with Amane, and so on. When he was a kid he was just trying things out for fun, but as an adult he's grateful he picked up on so much.

💔 An angsty headcanon: He's accustomed to, and expects, bad separations. So many friendships and relationships ended on a very sour note, so now he's used to pulling away first. (There was no aggression or violence, but) the appearance of different alters followed by the host's insistent denials would make others think poorly of him. The more he claims ignorance, the more it seems like he's just gaslighting/manipulating, so there have been a few explosive separations in which he had no idea what went wrong. Because of that, it's been harder to get close to anyone, and he will start pulling away the minute things show signs of trouble. It's why he left the smoking group so quickly, and doesn't hang out with the other prisoners as often in T2. Instead of waiting for an inevitable fight, he ends things immediately and peacefully.

✍️ Random drabble (probably for the Steddie holiday drabbles challenge)

Snippet from 🧜‍♂️

“Brought you this,” Steve says and unceremoniously drops something into his lap. Something that, upon closer inspection, turns out to be his ratty Judas Priest hoodie. 

“Hopped over to the cabin to get something warmer,” Steve explains, and gestures offhandedly to the soft yellow sweater he has thrown on over his own counselor shirt. “Thought I’d grab yours too, while I’m there.” 

“How very chivalrous of you,” Eddie mutters, taking his sweet time to shrug the hoodie over his head so that Steve won’t see his flustered face. The softness of the well-worn fabric drapes soothingly over his goosebump-riddled skin. He sighs blissfully and sticks his thumbs through the holes in the sleeves, starts fiddling with the loose threads on the seams. 

Steve is still looking at him, eyes alight with fondness, an easy smile tugging on those pretty pink lips of his. 

Eddie picks up his stick with the marshmallow from where he propped it against a rock and hurriedly shoves it into his mouth to keep himself quiet. The hot core singes the roof of his mouth and his eyes water with the pain of it, but he refuses to spit it out, just swallows and tries not to wince as the burn spreads all the way down his throat. 

Steve doesn’t stop smiling.

“Anyhow,” he says instead, and leans in to bump their shoulders together. “Congrats on winning the cabin cup. I know you’ve wanted it for years.” 

Eddie huffs around a sore mouth. “Yeah, you too, I guess. Don’t think there’s been a tie in years.” 

“I guess you’re right,” Steve agrees. “Not as far as I can remember.”

They sit in silence for a while, the crackle of the fire and the voices of the kids wafting all around them. A little way off, Nancy and Barb are still celebrating their victory in the talent show with their campers. 

“I don’t mind sharing the title with you, y’know?” Steve says after a while, and there’s that soft, bashful undertone again. Sure enough, when Eddie turns his head, he finds himself on the receiving end of that puppy-dog stare again. “You’re a really cool guy, you deserve it.” 

Jesus fucking Christ, how is a guy supposed to stay mad in the face of so much raw honesty?

There’s a laugh. A pretty, boyish kind of laugh that quickens Andrew’s pulse. Then: “Die kleine Bäckerei on 3rd is… Well, they must’ve left an oven on or something.”

“Right…” The bakery closed four months ago when the owner’s couldn’t afford to rent the building any longer. Andrew knew it well, mostly because of their double-chocolate cookies. What a pity it was to lose them. Andrew nods at Wymack and grabs a pad to scribble down the address. “We’ll be there soon.”

“What was that? German?” Wymack asks with a look on his face.

“Yes.” Andrew thrusts the notepad towards him. “Some German guy called to report a bakery burning down on 3rd Street.”

“Didn’t know you spoke German.” Wymack says curiously, then he waves his hand. “Get going.”
