TRANSCRIPT:

Part 1

Today was almost the best day of my life. I was eating my breakfast when a package came from my grandmummy and it was filled with bright, sticky candy! At my boarding school for bad boys it's REALLY, REALLY hard to get any candy or fun toys because they're always busy teaching us how to pull tricks and take over the world and stuff. I was about to smush my face full of candy when that bully Finn saw me and his face had a big smirk on it. He got up from his seat at the next table over and grabbed the candy away, using his powers to turn it into crawly bugs and worms. 'Disgusting!' I yelled, 'HEYYY, MY CANDY!' He laughed, looking around at his friends, and then he pointed to his t-shirt that read 'Evil Geniuses Don't Cry.' Everyone was laughing. I had to get out of there before he decided to stick me in the trash bin again.

I hid in an empty classroom and thought of a plan. What was the word for that called? I have to try and remember all the words from my Villain Vocabulary List. Plotted, that's right. So I sat right there and plotted. I was going to leave Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys and never come back, AND I was going to get more candy. Everyone knows the first rule of any mission is to dress really scary, so I picked the lock on the teacher's closet and found an extra cape and a black helmet to wear. There were also some stuff the teachers took away from us, like a rubber band, rubber snakes, and a soccer ball. Rubber Snakes! That was it! They looked just like Serpentine. HISSS!

Part 2

The best candy store is in Jamanakai Village, so of course I snagged a wheelbarrow and loaded it up. I got lollipops, gooey taffy, sugar straws, EVERYTHING! I threw the snakes at the villagers watching me. People hid and were scared. This is great, I thought, I’m going to have all the candy in Jamanakai and get a SUGARRRR HIGH! What would Finn think now, huh? Then those stupid Ninja had to show up, saying the snakes were fakes. They yelled at me for stealing. Before I knew it, people were throwing rotten vegetables at me, and those Ninja tied me up to a sign. This was just like Finn all over again. I felt a single tear fall on my cheek, but then I thought that Finn might be right about one thing – evil geniuses don’t cry! I am Lloyd Garmadon, son of Lord Garmadon and future ruler of the world!

I wandered through the Glacier Barrens to hide/plot. I was going to let those Ninjas see who they were dealing with. My luck turned around when I found this hatch that said Hypnobrai Serpentine on it with pictures of a snake using mind control. I was shocked…this looked like the real thing. I thought it was only a myth! I opened the door, and BOOM, fell down the hole. It looked like a snowy trap, and I could see millions of myself reflected in the ice. Just as I was thinking that I looked pretty scary, I saw a stranger – except he was just a frozen warrior dude, all bones. I started to shake. I wondered what happened down here... I’d rather be tied up by the Ninjas than end up frozen like him. All of a sudden I heard a rattling, and a bunch of TALKING SNAKES came out of nowhere! The leader tried to do a swirly thing with his eyes to control my mind, but I used my genius skills to move out of the way and deflect his stare, which bounced back at him. He was under mind control! I could make him and his army do anything I wanted! MUHAHAHA!

So Hypnobrai correlate with the element of Mind, the Anacondrai kinda correlate with Light (or whatever the element of invisibility is called,) and the Venomari could correlate to Poison... but what about the Constrictai and Fangpyre? What elemental powers could possibly correlate with them? I mean I KNOW the elemental correlation was unintentional, but I'm still curious about it.

My Nonexistant Friend - Ghost!Cole AU where Day of the Departed...did not end so well. He's trapped in the Airjitzu Temple and is effectivly erased from existance. He suffers in nonexistant puragtory for 300 years until Lloyd's future students move in and the Master of Earth of this new era befriends the ghost. Fluff, feels & the power of friendship ensue

Perma Ghost - Ninjago but Cole remains a ghost. To prevent him from fading he anchors himself to friendship bracelets all the ninja + Wu & Pixal wear. He can't stray to far from anyone wearing a friendship bracelet but he doesn't mind he's always with a friend.

Curseworlds - Possession bad end, heavily inspired by The Star from Fionna & Cake. The Preeminent has won and has cursed all the realms and ghosts torment the remaining living souls. A small faction of survivors is fighting to take out the Queen of the Cursed, but it's very difficult with her two princes causing havoc. Anyone order evil Sandstorm?

Reverse - An alt Ninjago where Wu was bit by the Great Devourer instead of Garmadon. Wu becomes an evil dictator, Ninjago is in a lawless era, the og ninja are all traumatised child soldiers made to do Wu's bidding, Garmadon and a few familiar faces are fighting back.

Genderswap - As it says, everyone is genderswapped. But it's like Fionna & Cake where some stuff is different because of the swapped genders.

Elemental Anacondrai - Chen decides to be extra twisted and mark all the loosers of the Tournament with the Anacondrai Mark as a sign of ownership. When the cult is transformed into Anacondrai, they too. So for the last two episodes of ToE, Skylor, Karlof, Gravis, Bolobo, Ash, Cole, Jacob, Chamile & Tox are turned into Anacondrai.

Constrictai!Cole - Cole isn't dehypnotised at the end of Home and is taken prisoner by the Hypnobrai. When the Fangpyre are free and team up with the Hypnobrai, Skales has them turn Cole into a Serpentine. He ends up a Constrictai. The ninja end up rescueing him durring Can of Worms, remove the hypnotism with some anti-venom tea, and now Cole must adjust to his new reptilian body. Lots of Glacier

Lost But Never Found - AU where Cole ends up in the Land of Lost things after running away from his school. He becomes a Finder and is living his best life with his new found family. Sora also ends up there after running away and Cole adopts her

Vampire!Cole - Cole ends up becoming a vampire after getting attacked by one. Lots of hyjinks & vampire hunting (hunting other vampires, not Cole)

Wu Adopts Cole - Wu finds Cole a lot earlier then canon, at 10 years old. He's an orphan, his mum passed from illness and his dad drank himself to death. Wu raises Cole, trains him in his Elemental Power, very wholesome Dad Wu stuff.

Amphibijago - Ninjago + Amphibia crossover. Cole, Kai and Jay take the places of the Calamity Girls and end up in Amphibia. Cole ends up with the frogs, Kai ends up with the toads, Jay ends up with the newts. What could go wrong

The Oni House - Ninjago + The Owl House, basically the Owl House but with Ninjago characters. Cole is a troubled teen about to be sent off to a performing arts boarding school when he ends up in a realm of witches, demons and magic after wandering through a portal. There he meets Lord Garmadon, the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles and his baby dragon demon Rocky. Lava time

Ninja in Eorzea - Ninjago + FFXIV. The ninja play the criticly acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV with an extended free trail with unlimited playtime that allows them to play the award winning expansions Heavensward and Stormblood, and they get suckef in...litterally like Prime Empire.

Miraculous: Tales of Firefly & Charcole Cat - Ninjago + Miraculous. Ninjago City is being ravaged by supervillains created by someone known as the Dark Lord. But new heros have arisen, known as Firefly & Charcole Cat, ready to protect the city from the Dark Lord while trying to balance school & dating. HONEYCOMB MY OTP

Age of Elements - My original Ninjago story set 300 years after canon. Lloyd is training 7 new ninja, the Elemental Masters of Fire, Earth, Wind, Nature, Water, Lightning and Ice to protect the world because a prophetic vision of the furure said so. He's trying his best to make sure they aren't super traumatised by having them keep their ninja identity a secret, not keeping secrets about the FSM family lore, having them go to school, but trauma as a Ninja is a canon event. Got 18 seasons planned and counting

I HAVE TWO NINJAGO OCS (techhhhhnically 3 but they dont even have a design yet just a concept im stealing from a convo w my friendz @just-another-colin-kinnie and @a-weird-bean-bag )

My main two are serpentine :333 Whisper is a Hypnobrai/Venomari hybrid who (somehow) evaded getting sealed away during The War and also adopts Lloyd before he can get adopted by Evil Boarding School in a little AU I have. I thought it would be interesting to let them have a hypnotizing bite but the silly hypnobrai eye thing is the one that makes people hallucinate but its not set in stone yet !!! (also debating if they should also be a master/have some kind of elemental power but idk what it would be)

My second is Dia and she is the master of Luck b/c if we can have Form, Fire AND Heat and Poison(?) then we can have Luck theres obviously no criteria for what counts as an element. She literally could not give less of a shit about the ninja and generally is very opposed to working with them b/c fym you're still going to act like they [the serpentine] are inherently evil and untrustworthy when they're just trying to mind their business??? She's gal pals with Nya though b/c Nya deserves friends <333

THE THIRD CONCEPT IS A MASTER OF IMAGE/REFLECTION? LIKE THEY CAN TRAVEL THROUGH REFLECTIVE SURFACES AND HIDE IN THEM/MIMIC REFLECTIONS AND SUCH I may make them a separate Being or something because it would also be cool to let them access a little "mirror dimension" through reflective surfaces but idk

Current time, and location: Season 11, Ninjago;

Aspheera had just entered the Ninjago History Museum, in search of the Ancient, forbidden scroll.

She barged through the building followed by her several fire vipers, entering the Serpentine section of the building, glancing and finding nothing of the scroll, resulting in destroying the displays and part of the room annoyed.

"Nnhhg... Where is it!" The serpent sorceresse hissed, not hesitating to bring he fangged staff down on more displays.

Fortunately, a force from behind promptly stomped onto the sorceresses back, making Aspheera yelp, as the other launched off to stand before the fire serpent.

Weapons drawn of a ax bladed, Serpentine glave, a new Serpentine stood front of Aspheera, one neatly dressed in a familiar red overcoat, with the museum icon upon it.

Baring mix traits of Hypnobrai, and Venomari, it was the current 'temporary', Museum Curator, Venobrai. Raised and taught by, and after Dr. Saunders had seeming vanished to public eye.

"Serpents like you are the reason why you'll be mentioned in the Hall of Villainy, and in history." Venobrai glared her four, red Hypnobrai eyes at the golden serpent, ready to take action.

This however made Aspheera, and her group of Fire Vipers laugh obnoxiously. "Oh... And what of you? You disgusting hybrid. I had almost forgotten things like you could exist, Venomari and Hypnobrai. Wonderful... To think I'd find something like you here however... Surely meant for displaying in a box, like the Scroll I seek."

Hear the lot made Venobrai hiss hatefully, no doubt hybrids not being the most looked upon, especially by serpents who are nearly as old as even before the Serpentine War. When things were much more strict and pressed by species separation.

"I shall have you know, you will not be getting you're hand on the scroll, or any other item here. You do not deserve it. And I know well my mentor would say the same." Venobrai hiss, as she swiftly dashed, using her axed bladed like glave as a vault to launch at Aspheera.

Venobrai was successful at getting Aspheera to the ground, but she was just as swift to block the glave with her own staff. Grunting as Aspheera shoved Venobrai off, which winded her up and on the ground to swing, resulting in a clang of metal on metal with Venobrai's axed glave, and Aspheera's fangged staff.

"Well you're mentor doesn't seem to be exactly here do they? Leaving their lone underling to take of the work for them? The alone fact of you being hybrid is one thing, but it's another to hear you lived amongst those that all somehow entombed, all of those Serpentine is even more disturbing." Aspheera smirked and talked down at Venobrai.

This resulted in a nasty move of Venobrai hissing her partial Venomari venom at Aspheera, who however swiftly slithered from the venom cloud.

But giving Venobrai a opening of nailing Aspheera in her stomach with the long blunt of her glave, knocking her back good enough with a pained paint.

"Don't you dare mention my mentor. I had little hope of surviving just as much if I stayed with other serpents. I was kindly taken in by him, and that is something I will never let go. Just like all the combat prowess he taught me to happily use on those like you..." Venobrai hissed, no doubt taking what her father of a mentor to serious heart, as she readied her glave in hand.

Aspheera was quick to recover from the unexpected blunt to her stomach, as she swiftly slithered up to Venobrai, as her staff met the glave again.

"Ah, such a feisty thing when such family is brought up, protective no? Surely something bad hasn't happened to him, cause when I'm done with you perhaps after I find the Treacherous Deceiver, I'll pay this father of yours a visit." Aspheera mockingly told with a smirk.

Aspheera then harshly shoved Venobrai back, and giving her the opening to brash the hybrid with her fangged staff, sending the now slashed serpent on the ground with a grunt.

Venobrai could only dryly chuckled as she looked back to Aspheera. "H-heh... You'd wish you could... But he is in a place far beyond everyone's reach. Which I will not let his public legacy down, by letting you get away with this!"

Venobrai had gotten up, charging at Aspheera with her axed glave out and ready.

Aspheera preparing for any other such attack, it ended in a short lived clash.

Until Venobrai pulled a slick move, using her separate Hypnobrai blue scaled tail to yank Aspheera's staff out of her hands some, giving Venobrai the advantage of striking Aspheera harshly with the flat side of her axed blade, sending the Fire Viper sorceress down. Blade now pointed to her neck.

"Ah... Someone... Clearly taught you to fight dirty... As I should of expected from a disgusting hybrid." Aspheera hissed with a glare now being unarmed and down.

"What can I say... I take what I'm taught to heart. At least now Ninjago won't have to worry of you're reign of fire." Venobrai said with a near familiar smug smirk, as she raised her axed glave to swing.

Aspheera now knew why some of these dirty moves were familiar, and such strong sense of loyalty came from, from what she remembered being told.

"You were taken in by a Master of Time, weren't you?" Aspheera asked smugged looking up the now hesitant Venobrai, who haulted..

"Wait what? How did-"

Aspheera cut her off. "Ha! No wonder why you fight like you do, if you weren't a nasty little hybrid, or Serpentine in general, you'd probably be a spitting image of him."

"What? You knew Kru-" Venobrai unfortunately being cut off again by a flaming ball of fire to her back.

Venobrai was sent flying to a wall from the force of the ball, letting out a pain excruciating cry as the blast torched her back. Burnt the back of her adorned coat and under, with a scorched scaled back.

Aspheera chuckled darkly as she got up, staff in hand again, as she loomed over the burnt Serpentine, the Fire Vipers also looming. "Ah, such a fool... To forget about other surrounding forces."

Aspheera raised her staff to finish, but hearing many few footsteps quickly approaching halted the sorceress, as she quickly slithered off into the museum with her group of Vipers to find the scroll.

Least the Ninja weren't at all far behind to aid the wounded one. Unfortunately it wouldn't bring her much answers her heard swirled about now of that with Masters of Time.

Annnnd there we go's, all done with a little touches of hinted mystery I have a few ideas regarding said previous Master of Time I may get out eventually someday. I at least hopes this was somewhat enjoyable :3

So, finally, we’ve finally got some semblance of a map for Legacyverse Ninjago. It takes inspiration from like, every map iteration I could possibly find (the obvious iconic dragon-shaped one, the one from Shadow of Ronin, the Ninjago Movie’s map, etc.) buuut everything’s been shuffled a bit to fit my own purposes >:3 (the left side is a base map, the right side is how each Province compares to the others) 

Take everything you know about Ninjago’s locations...and throw ‘em in a fire! (Also buckle up cuz it’s a long one)

General Info: 

So after Time Began and the island of Ninjago was split in half, only the Light Island persisted, and with more unknown, unbalanced forces out there that not even the FSM could fend against all at once, the FSM called upon the help of the friends who taught him the Four Core Elements to help him watch over all corners of Ninjago, along with sending out members of the Elemental Alliance to watch over things. Each of those “corners” was divided off into a Province, with some of those Provinces being more populated, while others were much harder to inhabit due to the terrain. But, over time, people began to grow and adapt, and in this fine 21st Century, there’s a variety of people living all over the island! 

Due to the variating wide-spread nature of Elemental Descendants, some places have specific cultures surrounding the Elements. This plays into the spoken languages as well. New-Form Ninjagon is the universal language in all regions (which is a blend between the symbols of Old-Form Ninjargon yet spoken similarly to English), but individual places have their own secondary languages as well. Any areas that aren’t explicitly labeled are either unexplored, uninhabited, disputed over which Province it fully belongs to and thus have no claimed name, or too uninteresting to qualify as a full landmark. 

Northern Province-

Overview: The Northern Province encompasses the uppermost parts of Ninjago, consisting of mainly cold, snowy climates that range from dense forests to frigid fjords to frozen peaks. At the very crown of Ninjago in the Northern Ocean sits the Ice Fortress, where the North’s Guardian Eirlys once kept the Shuriken of Ice under tight wraps. Not a lot of people live in these parts, not going much farther than Birchwood and the outer Glacier Barrens, but if avoiding civilization is your goal, then this is your place to go!

Overview: The Western Province consists of the mountainous and rugged regions to the island’s west. In the westernmost point sits the Caves of Despair, where Ruamoko primarily keeps to himself while guarding the Scythe of Quakes, until he is needed elsewhere.

Within the Thunder Belt on the far east edge of the region sits the ruins of an ancient floating city, from within Tawhiri watches over the area with a...temperamental fist.

Overview: More populated than the East and North but not quite as much as the West and Central, the Southern Province is mostly home to lands that are extremely fertile and rich with resources, due to being almost completely surrounded by water. But there’s also its share of places that could kill a man just by visiting them (such as Torchfire Mountain, the Toxic Bogs, or even the remains of Hono Mizu City). From a small, volcanic island just off the coast of Central’s Ninjago City, there sits not just a Shark Army Base, but also a Fire Temple, and within that temple the Golden Lion Vulcanell once kept the Sword of Fire safely guarded in his possession.  Guardian: Vulcanell (The Golden Lion) Common Elemental Descendants: Smoke, Shadow, Poison, Light, Amber, (Fire) Secondary Languages: Mandarin, Japanese, Italian, Bengali, Thai

Central Province-

Overview: Due to housing the island’s capital and despite containing some of the deadliest areas of Ninjago, Central Province houses the majority of Ninjago’s population within Ninjago City alone. Traveling far beyond Central can be exceedingly difficult, as it requires going through either the west’s mountains, the east’s desert, the north’s canyons and cold, or the southern bays (unless you have a flying ship or magically whipped up mech). Not only do people not often travel in or out, but neither does information, meaning that even though some outer places have knowledge of the Elemental Compass (such as Metalonia, Stiix, Hono Mizu, etc), nearly everyone within Central does not...despite the ironic fact that a majority of the Elemental Masters live within the city. Central Province currently does not have a Guardian, and Master Wu has been doing his best to watch over it in the previous Guardians’ stead.

Overview: At the very bottom of Ninjago sits the Aquatic Archipelago, the last remaining trace of the once only landmass within the Realm of the Endless Sea. This region doesn’t seem to have a Guardian, but ancient texts from Before Time Began indicate that the FSM left the archipelago to its own devices as a sign of respect for the beings that already lived there, along with the winged-leviathan that formerly ruled the realm...although that beast’s name has since faded with time. Housing the Golden Peaks from which the rest of Ninjago was born form, and the strip of islands housing the protectors/keepers/worshippers of a very ancient, supposedly sleeping sea serpent, those who do still live here are either descendants of those who worshipped Wind and Water, or those who braved through the seas and/or the Toxic Bogs of the south to found the Vagabond Plains (which is where Jesse’s grandmother is from).

I keep seeing headcanons of Ninja ages but what about the parents ages??

Y'all scared?? Afraid?? Can't sort out how old Wu and Garmadon are? Or how Cole's family works? Don't worry I got you.

Note: this is a bit of a mess and I'll fix it up later with timelines and images but for now these are just ideas.

The only thing semi concrete is that Aspheera is supposedly banish for over a 'thousand' years. However, there is some doubt in my mind that maybe it is an over exaggeration, but you can also see that that particular species of serpentine have evolved to be the current Hypnobrai - blue scales and red yellow ring eyes. The current hypnobrai have black and red eyes with yellow and white detailing on themselves, thus we can conclude that the rage is between 100-1000, maybe erring on the side of 1000, but then it wouldn't make sense because Wu and Garmadon looked incredibly young during the Serpentine War. Which was 40 years ago. And now Wu looks extremely old.

Maybe something to do with tomorrow's tea?

Either ways, the wiki says that both are 'thousands of years old' which is really the best we can get, due to nonsensical aging.

Now, Cole is about 20 now. But he was like, 16-18 (based on headcanons) in Season 1. So serpentine war: more than 40 years ago.

Cole's Mum (if she didn't die) should have given birth ideally late 20s to early 30s, but in flashbacks she seems kinda young, so I'll say mid 20s for easiness. 40-42 as of season 1. If she didn't die. So she gave birth to Cole when she was 24. She would have been born during or around the time of the Serpentine War, which makes sense. Cole's grandfather looked to be around 30 in the flashback so it makes good sense.)

Ray and Maya aging issue- well, they could have had Kai then Nya in late 30s early 40s, and like, 10 years of constant stress and imprisonment would have probably aged them up by a bit, so it makes sense there.

They would be like, Kai S1-2 age (15-17~) during Serpentine War. 25-30 years later, they would have the children and then get kidnapped for 10+ years. S1 ages: 50+ Also, people start aging fast at 50. Or at least that's how I'm seeing it, Mom. (Stop dying your hair, it's gonna be all white soon)

Zane was built likely before or during of the serpentine war, as the Ice elemental had given Zane ice powers after the Serpenine War, and Zane was at least 3 years old by then. Looking at the old Dr Julien, he looked to be around 45. So by Season 1, he would have been 85~, which makes sense if you assume he died 10 years before Season 1, ~75. And that is considered old age in some countries. However, that was most probably a false positive as he was brought back by Samukai. He would have been alive in S2 still, but died sometime after that, which is a good enough life.

Jay's parents: Ed and Edna are adoptive parents so probably 45-55ish during S1. But Libber and Cliff seemed to be young. Or at least Libber did, having just married Cliff before Time Twins (which would probably be a little after the Serpentine War) So maybe early married during Serpentine War? Of which I would assume her to be in the 18-22 range. (after all, Jay did 'propose' to Nya in Season 10, where he was like 18-20) A lot of people state Jay to be like, 15-17 in S1, so to make that happen, they would have to have given birth to Jay when Libber was 41-47, which is feasible. He would then be cared for his entire life by Ed and Edna.

Some Serpentine headcanons:

When a Hypnobrai hypnotizes someone, they see a basic glimpse into their mind, but this glimpse becomes more detailed the longer they have the hypnotized subject under their control. While for most this glimpse disappears once they stop hypnotizing their target, others may unknowingly form a unique bond with their victim, being able to read them mentally. This can persist even after those hypnotized are treated with antivenom.

Some Pyro Vipers suffer from pyromania. As such, they are kept under close watch so that they don't start any fires. The revived Pryo Vipers can eat and drink just like any other living thing, but they have to be careful not to burn what they're eating. (There's also the fact that it's possible that some of the previous Pyro Viper kings were revived along with there subjects, it's just that they're keeping a low profile.)

Some Fangpyre have a some type of mutation where they produce less venom, but said venom can't be cured by getting the victim's heart rate high enough, meaning that their only solace is the Fangpyre antivenom. Some Fangpyre also have a strange thirst for blood (both human and Serpentine), but they can also eat and drink normally (though they like the blood more).

There are a few Venomari who are born with six eyes instead of four, with the extra pair of eyes functioning normally. There's also some Venomari whom have either more acidic yet less hallucinogenic venom, or more hallucinogenic yet less acidic venom; those whom are afflicted with the more acidic venom may get acid burns, while those suffering from the more hallucinogenic venom may see hallucinations months after they get cured.

Some Anacondrai are born with legs instead of the usual tail. These individuals, while ostracized from Anacondrian society, learn that having legs may not be a necessarily bad thing, and that they might be able to do things that regular Anacondrai can't (ex. wall climbing). There are also some Anacondrai whom are born with a unusually long neck (like Pythor), which not only makes them stand out from their brethren, but also makes them more susceptible/prone to suffer vertigo.

Some Constricti are born with an extra pair of arms, and are slightly taller as a result. Those with this condition are more efficient at digging, as well as being a formidable foe in combat. There are also those whom suffer from Pica, which causes them to eat things such as rocks, dirt, sand, etc; these individuals have to be closely monitored, as they can eat something (ex. glass) that could cause sometimes fatal internal injuries.

Above all else, there is a small chance that any Serpentine can be albino, leucsitic, piebald; abundistic, or melanistic. Also, Serpentine can live up to 200 years, and grow up somewhat faster than humans.

Finished watching what we have of Crystallized so far, got into the OC making mood

Should make more detailed posts later, but the quick summary is that they're four non-human elemental masters who meet at the Tournament of Elements and make a team that mostly just runs from the messes they create.

Misan - The Munce Master of Sand

The braincell, and the chill one. A lot of trouble could be avoided if he spoke up more. Yellow Not-Ninja.

His Sand element lets him both move sand (it seems to include glass and some computer parts, but those take a lot of effort) and turn his body into sand. He can't create sand out of nothing, however.

Gumi - The Geckle Master of Animals

The strong and the short-tempered one. Do not mess with her friends. Has a pet slug named Gigi. Maroon Not-Ninja.

Her Animal element lets her talk to animals and shapeshift parts of her body. (such as getting a crab claw to crush stuff or frog legs to jump high)

Viper - The Hypnobrai "Master of None"

The mysterious one. Quite dramatic, maybe a little edgy. Closest to being a leader. Navy Not-Ninja.

His "None" element seems to stop other masters from using their powers, but he's just bluffing with his Hypnobrai hypnosis. He'd prefer to say his element is Mind, which would let him use hypnosis more freely, but Neuro is already in the Tournament so that's a no go.

Krys - The Merlopian Master of Crystal

The cheerful one. A bit of an airhead, though. Closest to a "heart" of the team. Pink Not-Ninja, even if that color is taken.

Her Crystal element lets her create crystals out of anything she touches. The crystals can't be cut. Krys mostly makes them grow out of the floor, usually for defensive purposes.

i didn't think of Zane as the the group strategist until Seabound, when everyone began asking him for advice. and honestly? i love it.

it makes a lot of sense, since he has access to a lot of files and algorithms, not to mention data on the other ninja. he's also (probably) less likely to be biased in decision-making, though we know he's prone to curiosity streaks [ref: kept original Prime Empire hard drive just to study it, ran off into the woods because he saw a falcon dancing, and is always the one to read the wall writing(twice! in the cave of the constrictai when he was pink and in aspheera's tomb)] and tends to volunteer to be sacrificed when he knows it's logistically sound [ref: end of rebooted, giant beetle's stomach, and being transported by aspheera]. however, he's knowledgeable, good at it, and doesn't have a ridiculous sense of pride.

he and Lloyd work well together, too. they're both relatively level-headed and they even out each other's faults

Zane is bad at explaining what on earth his crazy plans are (ref: tick tock (kind of?), finale of rebooted, and infiltrating the SoG) and Lloyd likes to lay everything out beforehand

Lloyd is pretty bad at judging people's trustworthiness and Zane is pretty ok at it (but this is relative to Lloyd, so it's not like that's difficult; ref: thinking that he could just use slitheraa (the old hypnobrai leader) and that no one would usurp him, befriending Pythor, misako in general, thinking Chen would let them get Zane back, attempting to form an alliance of all the elemental masters when they're literally competing against each other, krux, harumi, clutch powers, kind of by Akita b/c he thought she was a wolf and just ended up ranting to her, and assuming vania was evil, so pretty much every season - god bless him, he needs a break)

Zane is prone to just running off, whereas Lloyd always tries to keep everyone together (ref: running away to see the falcon, in tick tock when he just lets the others stay behind when they promise to catch up, after rebooted when Lloyd is literally the only person keeping them together, infiltrating the SoG, using the scroll of forbidden spinjitzu)

Zane's also, just in general, easy to get along with (not to say that Lloyd isn't it's just that the others are leas agreeable with him on average), so the other ninja usually don't argue with him like they do with each other

don't mind me i'm just thinking of group meetings with Z and L at the front and asking the others to chime in as needed. wu pours people's tea but doesn't get up because he's an old man. kai picks fights with people but lovingly and we allow it because he's the dark horse strategist who just randomly comes up with amazing plans. jay is invention and materials and ideas person and will randomly add coffee shops and bakeries to their routes because somehow he's the only one who remembers that they'll need water and food and access to restrooms. pixal does software and understands data transfer scarily well, plus she can generally see through bs reasoning that might fool the others. nya is very good at machines and can pretty much design and build you anything; with her, jay, and pixal on the job they can get practically anything done in 24 hours. cole is arts specialist and knows random local things, in addition to being better versed in human emotions. i'm convinced that Wu knows more than he lets on, but just keeps it to himself for better or worse.

Just to preface this, I ENTIRELY blame Kat for this.

I'm like 98% sure the royal lineage is mostly Hypnobrai. We're operating under that assumption.

Aspheera was absolutely delighted. A fire elemental! What were the chances!? Her magic was very compatible with the element. Stealing it for herself wasn’t a hard decision to come to.

His fiery response made her come to another easy decision. She was going to steal him too.

He was perfect. A defiant, brave, and formidable warrior. He attacked her without fear, he was trained in Spinjitsu, and he was a natural source of power. He was exactly the kind of status symbol she needed to make herself a true queen.

So what if Queen Viperia had outlawed the practice centuries before her time? Aspheera didn’t care. She wanted to be like the queens of old. She wanted grandiose! She wanted extravagance! She wanted prestige!

Besides, he was right there! It would be a shame to waste such an opportunity.

It was a short fight to subdue his allies. Aspheera decided to leave them alive, though restrained. She might want more at a later date and they all seemed to be suitable. So she left them, intending to circle back after she dealt with the Treacherous Deceiver.

Restructuring her own allies with her magic and her new stolen power was a simple matter. Deposing of the cowardly man with the eye patch was even simpler.

Finally she turned her attention to her prize. He was just starting to stir. He was still dizzy and in pain from losing his powers and all too defenseless. Everything was turning out to be so easy for her today.

He opened his eyes to the sight of Aspheera's swirling hypnosis. By the time he had figured out what he was looking at, it was too late and he was already trapped.

“Kai, was it?” Aspheera asked, remembering the name his friends had been yelling in concern.

Kai nodded.

Aspheera smiled, tilting his face up to give herself a better look at it.

“You fought very valiantly.” she said “Tell me, are you well known? As a warrior?”

Kai nodded again.

“And people will recognize your face? They will know you as a fearsome and brave fighter?”

At his third nod, Aspheera’s smile crack wide across her face. He was everything she could want. She honestly couldn’t have found a more ideal human if she had searched.

“Perfect.” she squealed.

She tightened her grip on his jaw.

“You’re going to forget all of that. All that bravery and skill. You will have it no more. Instead you are going to be helpless and fearful. Weak, and submissive, do you understand?”

Kai didn’t nod this time. Instead he started to shudder, resisting the command. This was more than forcing answers out of him. This was changing his nature, a much more difficult thing to do.

Still Aspheera was very talented, and this was the only thing that had been even a slight challenge yet. She pushed her will on him harder.

“Weak. And. Submissive.” she commanded again “You are a helpless now. Too afraid to fight.”

Kai whined and struggled, his mind and soul were still trying to reject her.

Aspheera had underestimated his will power. She was ecstatic about it. It made him all the more impressive a prize. Her greed grew as she pushed against his stubborn mind.

“Say it back to me!” she commanded.

Kai shook and forced enough awareness to start trying to push her off. It was adorable, but it wasn’t long after that when his strength and resolve finally gave out. His eyes dropped to the ground timidly and he quietly mumbled his answer.

“I am helpless and afraid.”

Such a docile whisper. Aspheera was pleased with the sound.

“Look at me.” she said.

He fearfully lifted his eyes to her. He looked so cute and perfect.

“You are a pet.” she told him. “You have no job or purpose except to be an ornament. You are a prize for me to show off. Pets do not fight. The do not work. They simply follow their queen and look nice. Do you understand?”

He nodded.

“Good boy.” she said, patting his head.

He gave her an anxious smile and she smirked. She would have to get him a leash and collar at some point. No royal human pet should be allowed to roam free. It wasn't proper.

Other than that, she could be pleased for now. She had a human pet like the kings and queens of the golden age. Not only that, but he was the most opulent type. A strong independent fighter that she had turned into a timid accessory. It was the ultimate status symbol of ancient times, the kind fit for a ruler like her.

She would also have to get some slaves at some point. After all, the point of a human pet was that you could afford to have a human servant and not have them do anything because you already had enough servants to do everything. But that all could wait. Her next goal would be revenge. Then she would find her throne and secure her new rule before she sought out any more lavish toys.

Still, she could enjoy her first of many luxuries.

Krux awoke on an empty bed, Garmadon having left in the night.

The elder twin didn't allow himself to dwell on this, throwing himself to his feet and making a beeline for the door.

As he made himself breakfast, his phone rang.

He startled, dropping his knife with a clatter, swearing to himself, he picked up the phone.

"Yes?" he snapped.

On the other end of the line, he got the last voice he wanted to hear. "Hey Krux, it's me, I heard the good news"

Misako's voice was painfully chipper.

"What 'good news'" he snapped.

The woman seemed taken aback, "uh, they've canceled your brother's execution, didn't you hear?"

"No, no, I heard" he sighs.

"You seem upset- did something happen?"

Krux stiffened, grasp tightening around the phone. "That's none of your business" he snapped.

A part of him wanted to slam down the phone, but he didn't want to endure another lecture from Garmadon... who did he think he was, anyway, lecturing Krux on respect when he was the one who couldn't keep it in his pants- at least Krux was being honest.

Misako sighed, and Krux could hear her muttering under her breath.

"Well" she said "I've got my own business to attend to. Goodbye, Krux"

She hung up the phone before he had the chance to reply.

"Sir?"

Acronix looked up from the television.

Hannah's daughter stood in the hall, trying to hide behind her back a book that was almost too heavy for her to carry.

Acronix raised an eyebrow.

The girl was terrified, he could tell. Likely, the book was meant as a weapon, although it baffled him how she expected to fight with something she could hardly lift.

"What is it?" he asked, still mostly paying attention to the television.

She gaped like a fish for a moment, um-ing and ah-ing until she finally stuttered out "please... don't kill my mom"

Acronix sat up with a laugh, turning his full attention on the child, who puffed out her chest, trying to look taller.

"I'm not going to kill your mom" he scoffed, "what even made you think that?"

She deflated, looking like a deer in headlights, "I- my dad-" she dropped the book in favor of a futile attempt to wipe away tears as she descended into high-pitched wailing.

Acronix got to his feet, "uhh, please, please don't cry!" he looked around in a panic, unsure if he should attempt to comfort the kid himself or go and get her mother, when Hannah herself rushed in, wide-eyed with worry.

"Scalandra!" she cried, rushing over to pick up the kid and hug her to her chest, "there, there, what happened?" her voice was gentle even as she shot Acronix a look of pure venom.

He stood, stepping towards her, "I didn't do anything, I swear, she just came in and-"

"WHAT in the name of the First Spinjutsu Master is that racket?" he was cut off when the anacondrai from last night burst into the room.

Scalandra, whose wailing had quieted into sobs, started crying harder, burying her face into her mother's shirt.

The anacondrai slithered over, reaching for the kid, and Hannah's head shot up.

A horrible, rasping growl left her throat, "what the hell are you doing, Thomas?"

Instinctively, Thomas looked up to meet her eye.

And then, abruptly, relaxed, expression going slack.

Although he'd never fallen to it himself, Acronix had been on the battlefield enough to recognize hypnosis.

Hannah stared down the anacondrai, keeping his mind tight in her grasp.

"You will leave this room, you will stay out of my way, and you will leave my child alone"

His expression blank, Thomas nodded, slithering off down the nearest hall.

Hannah relaxed once he was out of sight, then carried off the younger hypnobrai, muttering something Acronix couldn't hear as she shot one last glare his way.

Left alone at last, Acronix frowned to himself, only half paying attention to the television.

This was not over.

Analyzing the Elemental Alliance as a group and uncovering the real reason the Time twins (Twims for short) were "traitors"

So I have rewatched Hands of Time for the 3rd time this past year and Me and my sister Purplefern (She has a ton of good Twims fics on Ao3 ^^) have learned a lot about the old elemental alliance (EA).

THE CLAIM

The EA were a strong clique that did not appreciate the Twim's general attitudes and personalities. Chen saw the growing discourse and manipulated both sides into turning on each other.

To start let’s look at all the Leaders of this Alliance

Wu

Wu back before his eventual growth with the ninja was a strict teacher. Morro ran away due to his inability to understand his problems (problems he may have caused with his teachings). He is generally harsh towards the Ninja in season 1, forcing them to train all day because they simply talked during his lesson ("Never trust a snake").

Due to being the son of the FSM he put pressure on himself to always be virtuous and leaderlike (believes he has to uphold order) and he takes this believed expectation of authority to heart. He is no nonsense, yelling at Libber (the Master of Lightning) for simply talking slightly off topic before an important battle. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, according to his own moral standards and does not waver on what he believes is in/appropriate.

Garmadon

Although less righteous than Wu, joining the alliance after the war began, he has also been seen as a strict and serious teacher. Because of the growing venom in his blood I'd argue he was even more strict, less in attitude but more in general rules of law and order. We see in Rebooted that Garmadon set strict rules for himself like "no weapons" to keep his destructive side in check and we know that Young Garmadon is so sensitive to rules as he claims that even reading another's mail is a crime. He joined as a leader and most likely upheld rules not just for the alliance but for his own sake.

Ray and Maya

We see little of them but they are both good friends- and Ray appears to be the right hand man-- of Wu They are such good friends that Ray is the one trusted with the Map to the Golden Weapons. From his tone and diction he seems very dogmatic and if he's anything like Kai, he's quick to assumptions and to attack people who he perceives as bad according to his own strict principles. He just feels like a stuffy guy. I don't have much on Maya but she's a good people person so she gets along with the others really well. Also she married Ray, so that has to say something. They both went along with the Time Blade plan.

Other Elemental observations

 Except for Libber (Lighting), all the Masters are older than the Time twins. (Krux can fight in S7 so he's not older than 70. They are most likely mid to late twenty's during the war)

 The EA is a pre-established group (Garmadon refers to them like they are a pre-existing entity in ToE flashbacks). They were two confident and arrogent twenty year olds strolling into a pre-established clique of old honorable fighters during a war. Not the best time for bonding.

 Ice feels very much like Wu and Garmadon, considering he gave his powers to an analytical robot like Zane is saying a lot about him. He most likely does not tolerate "shenanigans", especially during a war.

They battle in a tight group

Krux and Acronix

These two act like they don't belong in the group. During the party celebrating the end of the war they are seen standing away from the rest and are genuinely happy to be recognized by Wu for their efforts. Although retcon, the two are not seen battling with the rest of the group. They instead most likely are so powerful (and impulsive and difficult to work with) that they are sent on duo missions to protect villages (They are also not the best followers).

It's also a nice parallel to our ninja in ToE. They stuck together like a family and were disliked and excluded from the rest of the EM's. The same could be said for The Twims since they always fought together and were similarly excluded.

Krux

Krux is a planner and a sassy dude. He’s stubborn and will tell people they are wrong to their face. The 16 personalities that matches him best is INTJ (the Architect). This analytical type hates people who are who they consider idiotic, do not participate in formalities, and are aggravated by heavy rules and restrictions made by someone else, especially someone they do not respect (which is most people).

Although we do not see him much as a young man we know that he is prone to grudges and will resort to less kind methods in sake for the means to an end. Definitely not someone Wu and Garmadon would like since they are trying to uphold order and keep a chain of command. But Krux believes in his own plans and his own chain of command. He is not good at small talk and would mostly stick with his brother during group events like meetings and parties, so in general his terrible social skills probably made him pretty unliked.

Acronix

Acronix is quick witted and heavily proud of himself. He won’t admit he is wrong and is very loud in general. This may be a side tangent but Acronix may have ADHD, which would not be understood back in the day and people would regard him as annoying or rude.

EVIDENCE FOR ADHD

-He is shown to stand in a position that suggests hand fidgeting (A LOT)

-Quick to anger over minuscule details

-yeah he's distractible but he's also quick to move through ideas/activities

-impulsive

- During their important battle back in time his attention is on the pretty fusion dragon flying around instead of listening to Kruxs plan of attack.

-His attention shifts to the destiny's bounty and he toys with the ninja despite saying right before he couldn't stay and fight Wu cause he had to meet up with Krux.

- in general he is constantly shifting from idea to idea, oftentimes leaving his original plans completely un-finished

He could have trouble paying attention to meetings and with his bond with Krux and tendency to quick action he would choose his brother's plan and strike independently rather than following whatever Wu is doing. This leads them to fight beside each other alone instead of with the main group, making the elemental alliance think they believe to be better than them. 

In terms of Personality types he’s a hardcore ESTP (Entrepreneur). Like his brother, they are free analytical thinkers who do not respect higher authority simply because they claim to be the leaders and hate rules and regulations getting in the way of their progress. He says what's on his minds regardless of feelings and will defend his opinions despite others sensitivities. He is perceptive enough to pick up on small changes and habits but he is quick to share that knowledge (usually in a snarky remark). I doubt the alliance appreciates what he has to say when he’s blabbering about everything in such a rude tone.

MOE

Now this all may start to look like a silly “Hands of time did nothing wrong” theory. But there is a key factor in this that not many people talk about. The previous Master of Earth (or Moe for short).

We know that Chen manipulated Moe into turning against the alliance so it was not technically his fault. Chen could’ve said that because the serpentine rose from the earth he was entitled to fight for them. Heck he could’ve been 100% hypnotized by Clouse’s dark magic (His eyes were not swirly so it was not hypnobrai like is suggested in WOTD). He is most likely some lovable dummy who was easily swayed and a kind person to apologize once the truth about Chen is revealed (considering that he’s Cole’s grandfather). Moe as a person is fine. What is sketchy is Moe being easily forgiven and allowed into the alliance despite turning on all of HUMANITY. What he did could’ve hurt way more people. He fought with the snakes and attacked innocent people and powerless soldiers (like the rice farmers) and was off scott free! The Twims only fought the elemental alliance and Wu and Garmadon at the monastery. Not nearly as destructive.

They figured out that Chen made the alliance turn on each other after the war and forgave Moe for that, but isn't it strange that they never gave the Time Twins that same benefit of the doubt? We know from “Way of the departed” and general logic that Chen and Clouse helped tip them over the edge. Whether you believe this to be canon or not is irrelevant because if the EA knew that Chen was involved once why would they not assume he was with the time twins too? Seems like they already disliked the two and were just ready for a reason to punish them. All flashbacks we get are told from unreliable sources like Wu and Ray (who both were enthusiastically the ones planning to strip them of their powers.) Speaking of, let’s analyze this example of their “betrayal” shall we?

THE BATTLE IN QUESTION

This is the flashback we get of them fighting against the alliance. The first time you watch it all you really know is that they are fighting against the EA, when Wu is describing their arrogance and the danger of their powers. How evil right? To attack their companions like that? But there is a lot wrong with how Wu phrases the fight and how it actually goes down.

They have Bamboo staffs.

A weapon that is primarily defensive and not a good weapon of choice for a planned ambush or assault. They are non lethal weapons. And Acronix is said on LEGO.com to be quick to learn any weapon so someone as adaptable as he is would not intentionally bring something so weak to a fight unless he had been forced to improvise.

Always on the defensive.

Someone as tactical as Krux and skilled as Acronix would never let themselves be on the defensive like this if they had the first blow. We see that Ray has the first attack in the flashback. Although Acronix is known to jump in without thinking he has his brother who would not just go into a fight just to lose. And even if they did end up on the defensive after having the first strike Acronix has his powers. He would’ve brought both of them out of a situation if things got too hard (which he is known to do in battles HE starts). But they clearly did not start this battle.

They are surrounded.

These two guys with nothing but staffs are encircled? Krux as a planner and Acronix as a quick witted warrior would never let themsleves get into that position if it had been a battle that they had started and had been planning to win. This framing makes it feel like they are being ganged up on.

In a remote location.

The battle takes place on a gravel road no where near a major city. If they wanted to take over wouldn’t they strike somewhere more populated? And if they were attacking the EA...they would have attacked the EA directly. They were probably just walking and talking and got ambushed.

Chen?

Very possible that Chen sent an “anonymous” note to the EA telling them of the Twims plans to attack. They are arrogant, have openly hated Wu’s leadership, and don’t gel with the group so of course they would take a tip like that and attack someone they don’t like. It’s possible they had ideas of taking over the EA but the world seems a bit out of their morality range until provoked.

Now that they have been attacked the two form a real plan to overthrow these fools who don’t like them and have unfairly attacked them (just like Chen had been telling them they were likely to do). They bring real weapons (swords) to an important location (the Monastery) to fight the specific people they do not like (Wu and Garmadon).

The Punishment

Ok so these powerful elemental masters are going to attack the EA. They were once allies and they are too powerful to defeat with their powers. If only there was a way to temporarily suspend their powers so they could talk this out and have an understanding of each other and perhaps uncover Master Chen's involvement-- since the Hands of Time were semi-sensible war heroes who were the sons of a previous master of time who presumably responsibly used the element without issue (and was most likely a samurai since Krux says their helmets are samurai helmets)... sigh too bad there is not such a material… oh wait.

WHAT ABOUT VENGESTONE???

These fools really decided that destroying an important element forever, and violently ripping it out of its users was the only option? There were generations of time elementals before them that had the element. They could throw vengestone nets at them or fight until they get knocked out and then vengestone cage them. But they don’t want to know why they betrayed the alliance. It was not because the element was too dangerous. It was not because they had to strip them of their powers (cause there are less lethal ways of doing so). They just did not give these two any mercy.

CONCLUSION

The Time twins are hard to work with and stuck together no matter what. The alliance is very strict and dogmatic which both Krux and Acronix would hate being trapped in their day to day alliance meetings and group mentality. Chen used their egos and their exclusion to his benefit to keep the fight going after he was banished and sent a letter to start up conflict with the EA. The EA did not like the Twims so they were ruthless and did not give them the same mercy they did for Moe (They also are not Elements of Creation. Wu would do anything to protect the main 4 but he’ll punish these punks).

Yeah, I believe that the map to the serpentine tombs was lost, or at least, inaccessible to anyone who isn't Wu/E.A members, Lily was a very young child during the time of the last serpentine war, and by the time she was old enough to actually do anything, the elemental alliance was disbanded and many of it's members where either dead or missing- including her dad(generic illness, killed him young) , and none of the ones she could find would give it up

Yeah, truly tragic. Didn't Lloyd find the map to the serpentine in the Hypnobrai tomb? Maybe it was a lock em up and throw away the key type deal so no one else could find them. Poor snakes.

Does make you wonder how Cole ended up so anti-snake if Lily was so sympathetic towards them. I know a lot of the ninja saw the snakes as nothing but monsters trying to destroy ninjago, but Cole especially I remember had some really disrespectful dialogue in s1. Probably just an out of sight out of mind kind of thing. Plus she did die when he was still pretty young.

Maybe he grew up in an area that was hit pretty bad by the snakes during the war, so the schools had a tendency to vilify them more. They did appear to have some kind of history with the snakes given their possession of the fang blade in the form of that trophy. Something to think about.
