cracking my knuckles time to hear about how i think the hypnoshades work losers (as in how i write them working)

Okay so, I see the way that the hypnoshades or hypno-whatever the object is that it sorta, swaps the subconscious aspects of the characters personality and feelings with the front like it switches the front mask with the repressed side.

Basically- hah- persona shadows. Take Callie being cheerful and earnest but hides anything too negative or her feelings of stress or potential bitterness towards her fame.

Shades Callie gets to be upset, bitter, unkind, and slightly vain to an unbalanced degree since the other parts are stuck being ‘quiet’. The hypno stuff doing this to like, replace the OG mindset with the hypnosis person’s goal by turning off the main personality to be replaced by thoughts devoted to the goal.

However due to that, ‘something’ has to also replace it. I don’t think the personality that’s resulted is on PURPOSE, it’s a behavior side effect. Once again, I don’t think this is how canon works it’s just how I write it. Lol

i am very tired, i'm sorry. i don't remember all that much about hypnoshades callie, if there was any significant difference. i think hypnoshades callie would be a little more brash and temperamental than normal. not in a bad way though!! just sort of rougher... she still loves you <3 most likely apologizes to you for being rough after being rescued

feel free to correct me or tell me anything you know though! it seems very niche and i'm a little intrigued by it :)
