my favorite career barbie is travel agent, are there any other niche one off barbie careers like that?

There are so many different Barbie careers that I wouldn’t even know where to begin.

One that stands out to me as equivalently specific to Travel Agent Barbie is Interior Designer Barbie.

This one specifically stands out to me because she is one of the only non-Fashionista line Barbies to be portrayed with a specific disability (in this case, a prosthetic leg).

And it goes quite nicely with Architect Barbie.

May is National Water Safety Month in the United States (I specify, because here in Australia we celebrate this month in December) so I thought it would be fun to share some water safety themed Barbies.

I have spoken before about a series of Baywatch Barbies that would certainly meet criteria as being water safety themed. But do rest assured, it isn't just in the context of pop culture tie-in Barbies that she focuses on water safety!

I Can Be... Lifeguard Barbie comes with a lifeguard chair and a whistle to monitor for anyone at risk in the deep blue sea. Or a pool, I guess, but I assume from the dolphin that she is an ocean lifeguard.

The You Can Be Anything Lifeguard Barbie also features Barbie on a beach, along with her trusty dog.

And a megaphone to yell at beachgoers who are doing the wrong thing. Or to alert them of danger. The fact that I first thought of scolding people probably tells you why I shouldn't be a lifeguard.

Other Barbie associates have also dabbled in this career.

As well Ken should, of course -- if his job is Beach, he had better come prepared.

I am much less convinced about Lifeguard Chelsea from the Chelsea Can Be... range. It is good for a girl to have dreams, but I have safety concerns.
