Hello, Toxy, my darling friend! I am here to bribe you and beg for more of your talent <3 I was so positively shaken by 'Spectators' and the glimpse of lore you gave us, that I just neeeeeeeeeed to know Joel side of this beautiful taboo relationship 🥵
will you be so inclined to tell us more? maybe this gif will inspire you? *slides a battered 20$ bill and all of the change i got in my pocket across the table*
concessions
Joel Miller x f!reader, 1k @iamasaddie ... this gif 🧎♀️🫡 ilysm 🪺 WARNINGS: 18+ degradation kink, infidelity, manhandling, jealousy, pussy spank, object insertion, incest mentions. after spectators.
You were just about to walk away when Tommy announced, “Joel's got a second date tonight,” and a pang of jealousy stopped you in your tracks. You turned around, making your short dress twirl out almost a little too high in the breeze.
Behind the bleachers, Joel smoked a cigarette in front of a small, brick building with his feet spread, one arm crossed, hand tucked under his bicep. As you came into view, he mumbled, “here comes trouble.” He threw his cigarette at the gravel and used his boot to smother it before retreating into the concessions kitchen. He started putting a pot of popcorn on.
A group of four women in the bleachers looked down their noses at you and murmured amongst themselves. Their lives must have been so boring. Two men in front of them stared at you until one of the ladies snapped her fingers at them.
Judging eyes be damned, you proceeded confidently around back of the building and let yourself in without knocking.
Joel didn't bother taking his eyes off the stove as he greeted you with sarcasm. “Come on in, make yourself at home.”
“Hey, big boy.” You stood there looking pretty, and finally he glanced up.
“Popcorn won't be ready for a minute, but you can get in line outside,” he said as if he didn't have his cock in you hours ago.
“You know that's not what I'm here for,” you said saucily.
“Bored of terrorizing my brother?” Joel asked.
You scoffed. “That asshole wouldn't even let me sit down.”
“Bet he was nicer than he coulda been,” Joel said with a bit of a snarl, then met your eyes and ranted, “Who do you think you are, showin’ up here tryin’ to give him a goddamn lap dance in front of Maria's friends? In front of his kid, for chrissake.”
“Public game last I checked,” you said.
Disgust tinged Joel's voice. “You get some kinda sick pleasure outta bein’ a homewrecker?”
“Not my fault he can't keep his dick in his pants,” you pointed out.
“No, but it's your fault everybody gotta know about it” Joel snapped.
“You think everybody knows about it?” you asked.
“Anybody with two eyes and two ears,” Joel said.
“Mm” You replied as though in thought. “They don't *really* know, though.”
“They know enough.”
“They know y'all like coatin’ your cocks in each other's cum? Eatin’ each other outta me? You think they know that?”
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Joel snapped. He abandoned the stove as he got in your face, neck vein throbbing.
Turned on by his anger, you hooked your hands into his belt and dropped to your knees.
He hesitated for a moment, jaw clenched, nostrils flaring with each rise of his chest.
“Ain't doin’ this,” he grabbed both your wrists and shoved them backwards, making you lose your balance and fall to the side.
“What's wrong? Afraid ya can't cum without your little brother's cock smashed against yours?”
“Get up. Get up now.” He grabbed you by your arm, and manhandled you to your feet.
“Just pretend I'm your sister,” You taunted.
He opened his mouth wide and over-enunciated, “Go… home.”
“You know… I dunno who you think YOU are. Couple hours ago you were balls deep in my pussy talking ‘bout the two of you splitting me open tonight. Now you want me to disappear.”
He shifted his weight onto one foot and rested his hands on his hips. “Ain't happenin’ tonight." It sounded more decisive than degrading. As if he did have a date.
And for a moment, pity flickered across his face before he hardened his gaze again.
“Shouldn't make a promise ya can't keep, brother,” you said. “Our mama raised you better than that.”
“God damnit, get off the floor.” He manhandled you to your feet and eyed the bin of empty beer bottles in arm's reach.
He turned you around and shoved you against the counter so you were both facing the sink.
He held you by the back of the neck. “Always runnin’ that whore mouth…”
You spread your feet and tilted your hips for his access, and he announced, “There she is. Jackson's most used hole. Ain't even gotta lift your dress to see it.”
He gave your pussy a spank, and the sting of his fingers between your legs felt like such a relief.
He grabbed a bottle and warned, “If you don't smarten up, next time it's gonna be two of these.” He pressed the lip of the bottle against your cunt then wiggled it into your entrance.
Once the first inch was in, he slid the rest of the bottle neck into you with a twist, making you gasp when the body of the bottle pushed at your entrance. Joel's cum from earlier began to drip into the glass.
“Savin’ that for Tommy?” you asked.
“God damnit.” Joel sighed and slipped the bottle out of you, wrapped a rag around the neck, and turned it upside down. He held by the neck and used his other hand to spread your swollen pussy lips. You were dripping arousal and cum. Bottom-first, he wedged the bottle into you with help from his fingers. When your walls were stretched around the glass circle, he pushed with a grunt, making you whimper with the pressure.
“You don't act right, we’ll find out if you can take two of these. Is that clear?”
“Yes, sir,” you agreed, butterflies in your chest. As if he’d pass up a chance to share a cunt with Tommy.
“Tommy sure as hell won't fuck ya later. Not after that display out there…” He pushed the bottle a little further. “And if I'm gonna bother, gotta know you're tight enough for me to feel somethin’.”
“Felt it earlier didn't you?” You asked.
“Yeah, then I wrecked ya. And if this bottle falls out, I know she's still wrecked.”
He pushed the bottle further into you until your cunt had swallowed the whole fat part of the bottle, and only half the neck was sticking out. It was a remarkable fullness.
“You better pray this dress is long enough, sweetheart,” he chuckled. “Though I reckon you'd get off on it, huh? Get off on the whole town seein’ ya walk around with a bottle hangin’ outta your cunt?” He pushed just a little further, and the curved glass of the bottom was flush against your cervix.
“Ow.”
He chuckled darkly, left it there, and stepped back to admire his work. Hands on his hips, he watched you stand upright and tug down your dress–God, it was obscenely short.
“Joel?” A woman’s voice called from outside.
The popcorn was burning.
“Go on,” he nodded toward the door. Get.” He subtly turned his attention toward the stove, and turned the burner off.
With a few slow steps, your cheeks burned at the sensation that your body wanted to push the foreign object out of you, birth it right onto the ground.
“Joel?” the voice was closer
You tried to tighten your muscles to keep the bottle in place, but it was slipping.
You reached down to feel almost the whole neck was out, and the thought of people seeing it under your short dress made your cunt spasm and gush, sending the bottle onto the concrete just as the door opened.
“There you are–Oh!” the woman said as the bottle shattered into a few pieces onto the cement floor.
Face on fire, you looked at the bottle, then glanced at Joel. His eyes met yours with a half smile and he said, “I got it.”
You looked the woman up and down and thought about telling her to enjoy your sloppy seconds, but you left her with an amused half smile. The same one Joel was wearing.

Yo, is me, I was one of the anons with this prompt
“Idea, reader cookie wakes up from a nightmare and runs into pure vanilla and tells him what happened to them, he reassures them that they’ll be fine, and offering them to stay in his room for the night…little do they know, for that is not pure vanilla…”
Uh-if ya wanna do it that’s cool
I'm pretty sure the last time you sent this the ask bx was closed but Sure! I'm happy to do it now.
Set in the Warden!Reader Timeline btw, plus Warden Reader Lore. Under the cut because it's pretty long.
Requested Prompts #46 - 💔💓
You are the Warden of the Great Seal, created by the Witches to keep the sealed Beasts in check. Nothing more, nothing less. You patrol the realm of the seal tirelessly, perhaps day in day out. But you never knew what time it was there, nor how much time had passed. You just know that it's long judging by Eternal Sugar's complaints. After all, you are the Warden of the Seal. Nothing more, nothing less. It was the purpose the Witches made you for, right? You are the Warden of the Seal. Nothing more, nothing less. " But there HAS to be something more, right?" A voice nags at you, interrupting your patrol. You cannot identify its source, its likely just one of the Beasts messing with you again. You're almost like a chew toy to them. You can't even begin to recount the amount of times you've been torn apart, you tend to keep your distance from Burning Spice and Eternal Sugar. But it's fine, they are contained. You're doing a good job. They can't escape, they won't escape. You can't escape, you won't ever escape. You are the Warden of the Seal, nothing more, nothing less. You aren't meant to be anyone else. But what if you are? You are the Warden of the Seal. Nothing more, nothing less. Who were you before you were the warden? You are the Warden of the Seal. Nothing more, nothing less. Can you hear that breaking sound? You are the Warden of the Seal. Nothing more, nothing less. Can you smell that scent? You are the Warden of the Seal, keeping the Seal closed is your job. Can you taste that fresh air? You are the Warden of the Seal. Can you see the empty prisons? You may just suck at your job. Can you feel that you're alive?
----
You awake with a sharp gasp, grabbing your spear from next to where you were laying down. A bed, your mind supplies you with. More specifically, it's a bed in the... uh, where are you again? Come to think of it, there isn't supposed to be any beds inside the seal. So then where are you? And what happened? " Miss Warden?" You hear a voice, you quickly point your weapon at the source and- Oh, it's just Pure Vanilla Cookie. You slowly lowered your spear. " My apologies, but it seemed like you were having a nightmare. Are you alright?" " I- I'm fine. It was just a dream after all." You deflect, and you swear that for just a moment you can see Pure Vanilla Cookie's eye twitch. You remembered where you are now, this was the Faerie Kingdom. It was the home of the Silver Tree, otherwise known as the seal, and you'd left the seal to chase after Shadow Milk Cookie since he'd escaped(momentarily, you remind yourself). The main problem, was that White Lily Cookie had re-sealed Shadow Milk into the seal without you. So naturally, you were on edge. " Are you sure?" Pure Vanilla questioned you. " You did look quite disturbed, Little Warden. If there's anything troubling you, then don't be afraid to tell us." He then offered with a kind smile, it was nice of him to do so in fact. Except, there was just one thing that had made you skeptical. Sure, it was something nice but... " ... 'Little Warden'? You muttered aloud, just enough for Pure Vanilla to hear you. Wasn't Pure Vanilla at least a head shorter than you? So then why would he... Actually, wait. Pure Vanilla hadn't gone through a growth-spurt, right? Because he was simply too tall- Wait. Your formerly appreciative expression falters into a neutral grimace, you could smell the ash from the flames of chaos outside. You could see the cracks in his disguise, in fact, you could even see the maze you'd been trapped in with your new allies sitting on the drawers as if it were an innocent snow-globe, the maze also seemed to be contained in said snow-globe. You point your spear at him again, now knowing who he truly is. " Shadow Milk Cookie." You said sternly. " Drop that disguise you're wearing, I know it's you." The beast wearing Pure Vanilla's dough smirked, a grin far too wide present on his face. " Well well well well well! I didn't think you'd figure me out so soon~!" Shadow Milk's voice came through, he'd completely dropped any pretense that he could have been Pure Vanilla in the slightest way. The beast then dropped to the floor with a splat, melding back into the shadows. It isn't too long before you can feel him curl around you, back in his true shape, resting his head and hands upon your shoulders. You staggered in his grasp with a gasp, your spear dropping out of your hands as you lost your footing. " How'd you guess it was me? My silly lilttle Warden?~ Come on, I'm just crumbling to know!" He chirped, holding your weapon just out of reach. " You..." You almost growled, not willing to entertain the twisted entertainer before you. " What have you done to my allies? Why am I here? Did you give me that dream?" You calmly(or maybe coldly?) questioned him, you know that you shouldn't give in to his tomfoolery. " Oh no no no no no my dear, dreamland isn't my domain, that would be Eternal Sugar's." Shadow Milk chirped, so then... Had all the beast's gotten out? You couldn't help but feel a pang of dread settle in. " As for why you're here, well, you refused to stay put in my silly little maze of deceit! You ended up getting out so... I decided to bring you here!" " And 'here' would be...?" You asked, tilting your head back to look at him.
" The Spire of Deceit and Truth!" He hummed. " Oh, and if you're planning on escaping then don't even try to! Each floor of the spire is it's own maze of deceit, it's almost impossible to get out!" He says, as if you can't just jump off the balcony. He detaches from you, letting you fall back onto your surprisingly comfortable bed. It's only now that you realize just how large everything's gotten, your reminder that you were just a crumb compared to the beasts. The shadows collect and grow in mass, eventually all forming together to make Shadow Milk's towering form. " Well, I have to go now! All of Earthbread is waiting for my next performance! So just stay put here, you cute little thing~!" He chirped, all before disappearing in a flash of blue light. And now that you're given a moment longer to think, you come to a realization. You failed at your job, if all the other beasts got out then... the seal would have to be broken, heck, maybe even destroyed. And now, you're probably the only one who even has a chance of wrangling them all back up. Hopefully the seal can be repaired... If it's not entirely destroyed.
----
And there we go! finally got this out. I got too busy playing side order for splatoon three but now I am back on the grind! Mostly. (It's five AM as of posting this, don't worry I did in fact sleep.)
But anyways yeah! reader angst! yippee! This takes place in a more sort of 'things are going bad but we may or may not get a bad ending?' timeline for the Warden!Reader AU. Aka where all the beasts get out and Warden!Reader gets trapped in the maze for a while before figuring out she's in Shadow Milk's stupid fucking maze.
But however will the little warden defeat the five great beasts? Well, that's for you to figure out. I'm just the prompt guy(girl).

Once again, gonna adapt another analysis i saw on reddit, this time from 7 years ago: G̵͈̣̤͓̭̈́Ö̷̜͎̖͔́͛̽͘ͅD̵̝̞̱̿̎̚͠R̶͙̺͈̲̽́̏͂͒̀̌̽͝È̶̢̛̜̗̯̒̐D̶̡͕̬͇̑̀̄̐̀.
Credits to the original poster, they did pretty much all of the research here and i'm posting this here to shine some light on this.
Also, TW: Non-consensual eldritch breeding rituals, very cursed implications (it sounds so much worse than it actually is when i write it like that lmao, it's not that bad, TW just so that you can mentally prepare yourself on what we are getting into)
Let's lay down some basic information on Godred: he is definitely otherworldly. Not only are the Phone Guy/s afraid of him, but the Health Inspector confirms his shrine is home to "dark magic". Jack himself can even feel Godred tainting him irreparably. The point is, Godred is something unholy.
But what is Godred? At first, I thought he wasn't a physical entity. That he was a soul, or the embodiment of something. However, in the Forbidden Logs, in the office computer, REDACTED gives us some important information. Godred's blueprints (or at least, the surviving ones) tell us he has "arms designed for snapping necks" and "a pregnancy feature". That latter function is VERY important, but for now.
This gives us some important information: Godred was not born, but built.
The immediate next question you might have is: Who built Godred? The arms built for snapping necks sound like Dave's work, however this is not the case. If you have the Godred shrine built and choose to salvage Davetrap, he mentions that that "Bear shrine" is "cursed". This tells us that Davetrap can feel Godred's power (an important detail for later), but also tells us he doesn't know Godred. If Dave had built Godred, he would have remembered him, and would've at least mentioned him by name.
Could Godred be one of Henry's creations, then? It's possible. After all, Godred's connection to death (more on that later!) would be a great boon for Henry's work. However, Godred appears to be based off of Rockstar Freddy, and is thus most likely a Freddy variant. Henry doesn't own the rights to Freddy, given Fazbender invented him as a big Fuck You to the Fredbear character. Alas, I don't think how Godred came to be is as important as what he became.
Godred is connected to death. He visits graveyards, and a bell tolls whenever he is mentioned. However, the real confirmation of this connection exists within Godred's shrine. When Jack tries to weep solemnly at the Shrine, he can't. Weeping is meaningless in his presence, and death is no escape from His wrath.
This. Is. Huge!
Godred has some sort of power related to death, he can pursue souls after their vessel dies. Either he's able to pass between reality and the Flipside at will to hunt them down, or he's able to force souls to stay in reality.
But why? What gave Godred this power? Put simply, what is Godred? I believe he is no longer completely physical, and has actually started to become something non-literal. The most prominent example of a non-literal entity in the Dayshift at Godred's lore is the Real Fredbear, the embodiment of childhood. His abilities encompassed life, returning it to people and defending the young. I believe that Godred is Real Fredber's opposite, the yin to his yang, the purple sheen to his golden gleam. But how can we confirm this?
By looking at who Godred affects. We know that the Phone Guys are all afraid of Godred, and can probably feel his dark magic. Likewise, Davetrap and Jack can both feel Godred's aura. But! One employee doesn't feel disgusted by Godred. One employee stands out.
If you build a club, there's one person who immediately puts in an application to wear the Foxy suit. And if you ask this man about Godred, he...well, he gets a bit suggestive. This man likes robots, and seeing as there's minors reading this, I'm gonna leave it at that. If you've played the game, you know who I'm talking about.
What makes this somewhat degenerate employee different from Jack, Dave, and all the phone guys? He hasn't died.
The one thing that all those other characters have in common is that they've died before. Godred can touch them with his magic because they've died before.
It seems simple, right?
Nope.
You see, there are three other people who can feel Godred's taint. The doggo knows something is wrong with Godred, and becomes pretty spooky when you ask about Godred. A similar thing happens with the horde of ungrateful toddlers. But doggos and agressive gremlim children are magical creatures, and would be able to feel Godred regardless of their alive status. One other character knows who Godred is. One character who knows too much. One more piece of the train-shaped puzzle.
Woodrow.
When you use the office computer, you can access logs left behind by [REDACTED]. We mentioned him earlier in the post, remember? Well, this man was a Freddy's employee, who recorded his knowledge of Godred in the company computer. Later, he gets turned into a phone guy, so he's now in a undead state. He details how afraid he is of Godred, and how he built Music Man to stop him from sleeping.
You see, Godred has a pattern. Godred visits people in their sleep, when he's not hanging at graveyards and kicking God's corpse. And when he visits you twice, you go missing. Permanently. No body shows up, nobody sees him enter or exit. He takes you and you are gone.
But...this is contradictory. Godred's blueprints tell us that he has arms designed for snapping necks. Why would he kidnap people, when he should be killing them and dumping them?
This one is simple. He must perform [GENESIS-641-D]. The forbidden logs tell us that Godred has a pregnancy function, and that if he ever falls pregnant, Genesis will occur. Why is this special? Animatronics don't give birth to live young. You might think I'm joking you, but Music Man is confirmed to build nests to lay eggs, as detailed again by the Forbidden Logs. Additionally, if the Health Inspector visits your ballpit, Music Man will be nesting inside, laying eggs.
Furthermore, this behaviour is not restricted to horrifying spiders. Phone guys are programmed to recognize Funtime Foxy as the queen Foxy. As phone guy says when you put up her poster, "This one lays the eggs".
Why is this important? Because Godred's pregnancy isn't literal. Godred is only partially non-literal, and is bound by physical laws in some way. However, if Godred had a child, it could potentially be stronger than Godred, unnafected by the laws of the universe. Less physical than Godred. A deity. This is why Godred doesn't kill his victims. This is why he takes them. He needs something from them.
I won't go into detail (again, semi kid-friendly yap), but Godred needs something from his followers. We know Godred's magic consumes people. If one of those people were to help Godred (nudge nudge wink wink), his magic could flow through them, meeting back up with his own magic inside him and creating a child of dark magic. A creature with no physical form, created by the melding of death and magic.
This is why Godred needs Jack, and why taking Woodrow didn't cause Genesis. Godred doesn't just need a human to begin Genesis.
He doesn't just need an undead human to begin Genesis. He needs somebody perfect, an undead soulless human. An empty vessel, with no soul to get in the way, who also is devoted enough to Godred to complete the act. He needs Jack.
Jack fits the bill in a way no other character does: Not only is he undead, and thus under Godred's domain and can be persuaded, controlled, he is also uniquely soulless.
Dave, the phone guys, all the other undead have souls. They're imperfect vessels. They can't hold Godred's magic and give it back to him, because they're already holding their own souls. Jack is empty, and thus perfect.
Not only that, but he is compelled by Godred. Before Jack even meets Godred, if he buys Godred, he doesn't do it casually. He hears and considers the cries of Phone Guy. And he "DEMANDS GODRED".
Before the two have even met, Jack feels a tie to Godred. A tie that makes him do strange things...
A tie that could perform [GENESIS-641-D].
TLDR: Godred's can pursue souls after death and corrupt/control those who are undead. His goal is finding someone that can get him pregnant to generate an eldritch horror of an ofspring; He does not understand consent. He raptures people, does things to them, they get filled with dark magic and that dissolves their soul. Jack is the only one that can survive the Godrussy since he doesn't have a soul and is also dead so Godred can persuade/force him into doing it.
Jack X Godred is basically confirmed.
Sorry i bestowed upon y'all this absolutely horrifying knowledge.

In your Toji lives au would you ever consider making Tsumiki a sorcerer, if so what would her technique be? If not, how does she feel about being the only one in the family without “powers”?
Warnings: Lore dumping for "Toji lives AU", profanity, being too long than it should be
Well, I did thought about it, anon.
In my "Toji Lives AU", Tsumiki doesn't have a curse technique. There are some reasons why I didn't give her a curse technique.
1.) My lack of understanding of the basic understanding of curse technique. I've been reading JJK for almost four years now but I have yet to understand the power system of the series. I know! I'm a fake fan but my smooth brain hasn't been able to grasp the basics/fundamentals of the series. That's why I didn't give Tsumiki a curse technique because my ideas for curse techniques won't make sense in the realm of Jujutsu Kaisen.
2.) I literally have no clue on what curse technique would suit her. Personally, I can't make/give Tsumiki one because I don't know enough about her. Generally, if there is a character that's powerless in a series I'm writing, I would writing a power/technique/ability based on how much I know them. However, since there's very little on Tsumiki in the canon story, I think it would be easier for me to not make her a sorcerer. All we know, at least to my knowledge, is she's the step-sister and step-daughter of Megumi and Toji, she's a kind-hearted and caring person but isn't afraid to call out someone(like what she did with Megumi in Middle School), she took care of Megumi every since their respective parents went MIA, and she got stuck in a coma after accompanying some classmates to the cursed bridge. That's the only information on her personality and life I have on her. But it's very limiting for me to give her a technique for the AU.
But if I had to give her one, it would most likely be a healing curse technique. Again, I don't know the fundamentals for her technique. All I know is she uses her ability to heal other sorcerers wounds but not have regenerative properties. Tsumiki, while a firm person, doesn't hit me as a fighter or someone who's needed on the battlefield. She's more of a support/healer based on her personality and nature. But yeah, a healing curse technique is something I would give her if I made her a sorcerer.
But since I didn't make her a sorcerer nor have any curse technique, she's the most normal out of everyone in the family. In my "Toji lives AU", both her and Megumi don't know about the Jujutsu world or anything curse related because I had Reader and Toji never bringing it up/mentioning it. It was not until Satoru and Suguru went to retrieve the two of them at Reader's request is when they learn about the Jujutsu world and curse technique.
She knew she didn't have powers when Satoru, Suguru and eventually Reader explained it to her and Megumi. She was aware because before Megumi's manifestation of his Ten Shadow Technique, he kept telling Reader he was seeing monsters everywhere. Reader would ask Megumi to describe the monsters and his description of them are now curses. Tsumiki knows Megumi doesn't like to lie or never really lies to Reader, he doesn't make stuff up for attention. She could tell on Mother's face that there was something else going on that Tsumiki wasn't experiencing herself.
By the time she's 6-7 years old, she knew she didn't have a curse technique or powers because she couldn't see curses, had any sort of manifestation, and she was passed the age where a kid would receive one. After meeting Satoru and Suguru, she knew Reader was a sorcerer because Satoru explained how her and Megumi's mom was just like them. But she didn't know how powerful until Satoru tells her and Megumi that Reader is a powerful sorcerer, unlike any other, to the point Satoru admits Reader can rival him herself.
While Megumi starts to look up to Reader, Tsumiki feels like a odd one out because she never got supernatural powers. Most are quick to point out that Toji doesn't have powers but that doesn't apply to her father at all. Toji doesn't have a curse technique or any curse energy. However, he can still see curses, have extremely heighten human sense and abilities, and wield the most broken weapons in the Jujutsu world because his celestial restrictions allows him. He doesn't have any powers but his celestial restriction gives him extraordinary physical abilities that beyond the supernatural in exchange. She doesn't have celestial restriction like her father nor does she have a technique like her Mother and Brother, overhearing how both of them possess techniques that have unfathomable potential and strength. Tsumiki is just...normal.
However, Reader explains to her that she and Toji still love her no matter what. Saying that she doesn't need a curse technique in ordered to be accepted and seen in their family. Reader tries to reassure her that it's not uncommon for individuals to be born without a curse technique in her clan. So it's normal for Tsumiki to not have one herself. This also means Reader reminds Tsumiki she has no need to jump hurdles to prove herself. Reader tells Tsumiki what matters is she builds up and grows herself.
Oddly enough, it's actually Toji who gave her a more earnest and honest commentary and explanation to her. This happened when she and Megumi were teenagers. She was having one of those close talks with Toji at home because Reader and Megumi were out doing Sorcery stuff. He explained to her that her being born without a curse technique can be seen as a blessing because she doesn't have to be involved in the world of Jujutsu. Explaining how the Jujutsu world isn't special compared to the real world. If not, it's a lot more grim and unforgiving to those who live in it. He openly admits to Tsumiki that even Reader and Megumi, who are born with legendary and sought after abilities/techniques, shoulder a burden not everyone experiences.
Megumi has to burden the expectations of having a technique that has the potential to rival and defeat Satoru Gojo. The strongest sorcerer in Modern Sorcery. His technique is a prized and beloved by the Zen'in clan, Toji's biological family. A clan that would do anything in order to keep their status as one of the main Jujutsu families. Toji spills a little bit to Tsumiki about the ruthless and unkind nature of how the Zen'in treats both non-sorcerers and sorcerers. Speaking about being born with a curse technique doesn't guarantee your acceptance. They will see you as sub-human if the technique is weak and useless. Even if you have a powerful technique, the clan doesn't give a shit about you. They only care for the technique, not the person. So it's a constant struggle for power and placement against your own family and clan/ fight for a place at the table.
Then there's Reader, who's curse technique can match and be on par with Gojo. However, the burdens she shoulders is a lot more different and heavier than Megumi's. She bears the burden of being one of the strongest around, meaning she constantly is needed and busy like Gojo is. Toji also speaks of the burden of guilt you carry for doing enough, if it was enough. To call the shots and make observations no one else can see. The insight and guidance you offer would be sufficient in growing the younger sorcerer. Your care and concern would be enough to help others not fall down a dark path. That what you were doing was enough to protect your family, to keep your beloved husband and children safe. Toji told Tsumiki that Reader was glad Tsumiki didn't have curse energy because it meant to didn't have to face the horrors of the Jujutsu world. Something her mother, and unfortunately her younger brother, have to face and be apart of.
Now, Toji said all of this not to be like "well you aren't missing out much" or "you're better off doing this instead of that". But rather, to make a point that having a curse technique isn't always everything and what matters the most is someone's will and personal strength. Toji confesses that a person's drive and will is what keeps them going in the Jujutsu world and the real world. Tsumiki may be powerless but her kind-heart and caring nature is something not many have the ability to do nature. Toji even says Tsumiki is stronger than most sorcerers because the conviction she has overpowers many others.
"Kindness isn't a weakness. Rather, it's a strength others don't have the capacity to understand its true nature, Tsumiki. So don't be so hard on yourself because you lack an ability. Not many are strong like you to keep doing what you're doing. The closest person I can think of that's just as kind as you is your mother(Reader). And we already know she's insanely strong as it is. So don't feel down about what you don't have, what you already have is powerful that not even that Gojo kid could understand."
"You're already strong, Tsumiki. You're just not seeing it like your mom and I do."
With that, Tsumiki feels less excluded and more empowered. When she was younger, she never voiced her shame and her alienation from her family. But after her talk with Toji, she isn't ashamed of being powerless and keeps up her kind personality. All because of the conversation she had with Toji and her being honest with her.
Tsumiki may not know this, but her kindness and caring nature is one of the reasons why Reader hasn't given up on herself and what she does/fights for in the Jujutsu World. Because to Reader, Tsumiki's kindness grounds and brings her down to Earth. Tsumiki reminds Reader that kindness exists anywhere and is needed for the world to no collapse on itself. That it takes a different kind of strength to still show kindness when there's a lot of resistance. Reader keeps fighting so people like her daughter can live and exist in this unforgiving world. That's how strong Tsumiki's kindness is and she doesn't have a curse technique to make such an effect.
Tsumiki in this AU knows and understands the world of Jujutsu. But she isn't involved in it as a sorcerer because her only connection is through her parents and brother, not herself. But she knows the basics of curse and curse energy. She's not ashamed of being a non-sorcerer and has a different yet positive outlook on life. She doesn't mind not having powers because she's already secure about herself thanks to her Mother and Father.
Leave it to Papa Toji to make things better lol

Songs from The Oh Hellos that would work well in Arcane fanfics:
I'm doing The Oh Hellos first just because I've been listening to them more recently. Buckle in, this is a long list.
Dear Wormwood:
Bitter Water: About a toxic relationship!! Great for angsty pairings.
Lyric Spotlight: “Even now you mark my steps, lovely bitter water, all the days of our delights are poison in my veins, I know I shouldn't love you, I know”
Exeunt: About a toxic relationship!! Great for angsty pairings. Especially if one of them leaves the other.
Lyric Spotlight: “So, my little dove, I'm afraid I am leaving” “I will not abide all your raging and reaving, I have set my mind and my will, I am leaving.”
Dear Wormwood: About a toxic relationship except it’s not a romantic one it’s about a human telling a demon to screw off basically. In the wise words of Maggie and Tyler Heath, the singers and songwriters, this is a Screwtape Letters fanfiction. Great for fics where a character is battling with their own metaphorical demons, looking at you Jinx.
Lyric Spotlight: “I know who I am now, and all that you've made of me, I know who you are now, and I name you my enemy”
Through The Deep Dark Valley (If I’m being completely honest here I struggled to not put the entire album because very song in this album fits at least one character.):
The Valley: According to Genius, “’The Valley’ is a song about the struggle and confusion caused by being born into wickedness.”There is one very simple reason why I included this song in this list. It feels like Piltover vs. Zaun from the point of view of Zaunite children. The whole song is about a generation of people having to pay for the decisions and crimes of those who came before them.
Lyric Spotlight: “We were born in the shadow of the crimes of our fathers, blood was our inheritance, no, we did not ask for this”
Like the Dawn: This one is about Adam meeting Eve. It’s pretty interesting though cause it’s sung by a woman (Maggie Heath) from the perspective of Adam. It’s a pretty romantic song so it can be for any ship, especially if it’s one that’s doomed by the narrative.
Lyric Spotlight: “You were the brightest shade of sun I had ever seen” “And you will surely be the death of me, but how could I have known?”
Second Child Restless Child: This one has too much lore so I won’t go too much into it. Think of it as the troubled younger sibling anthem. Looking at you again, Jinx.
Lyric Spotlight: “See, I was born a second child, with a spirit running wild, running free, and they saw trouble in my eyes, they were quick to recognize the devil in me”
The Lament of Eustace Scrubb: This song is once again C.S. Lewis fanfiction. Idk much about Narnia so I can't explain this much but think of this song as another instance of battling inner demons. Looking at you for a third time, Jinx. And honestly? Viktor too.
Lyric Spotlight: “Father, have mercy, I know that I have gone astray, 'cause when I saw my reflection, it was a stranger beneath my face”
In Memoriam: Yet ANOTHER song with too much lore. It can be interpreted as romantic, but I don’t think the original version was romantic by any means. Nevertheless, it’s very good for fanfic especially for smth like caitvi, you’ll see why in the lyric spotlight.
Lyric Spotlight: “But I've never been a wealthy one before, I got holes in my pocket burned by liars' gold, and I think I'm far too poor for you to want me”
Notos:
Constellations: According to genius, “’Constellations’ explores what it feels like to have your own perception of the universe challenged and ultimately fall apart” If I’m being honest with myself… I put this here for Jayvik, skyvik, or literally any ship regarding the hextech team.
Lyric Spotlight: “Like constellations imploding in the night, everything is turning, everything is turning, and the shapes that you drew may change beneath a different light, everything you thought you knew will fall apart, but you'll be all right”
Eurus:
O’ Sleeper: Genius only tells me where the name comes from so if I’m being honest I have no idea what this song is truly about, but it does have a very nice domestic opening scene.
Lyric Spotlight: “While the weary nations weep, awakening me from a dream, I see the moonlight steal across my sheets, my love is lying fast asleep, chasing its beams, she stirs, and then she turns her back to me”
Boreas:
Rose: This song is about the change that needs to happen within Christianity. If you look this song up on genius, do not be fooled by the first commenter explaining what this song is about. They are wrong. ANYWHO, this song has banger lyrics that can work for angsty ships.
Lyric Spotlight: “No, love’ll get you slaughtered, like a ram at the altar, what is safe ain’t the same as what is good”
Zephyrus:
Soap: In my own personal interpretation, this song is about a couple who although may be different, and although may have their own personal issues, are still trying to make it work. Look me in the eyes and tell me this isn’t caitvi. The song literally has oil and water in the lyrics. I rest my case.
Lyric Spotlight: “I've heard, since I was younger, that oil and water don't mix, they're polar opposites, with a molecular rift you can't fix”
The Oh Hellos Ep:
Hello My Old Heart: According to genius, “The narrator of “Hello My Old Heart” addresses his broken heart.” Great for any angsty ship/character especially those who guard their heart.
Lyric Spotlight: “Hello, my old heart, how have you been? How is it being locked away? Don't you worry, in there, you're safe, and it's true, you'll never beat, but you'll never break”
Lay Me Down: According to genius, “’Lay Me Down’ is a song about leaving the beliefs you grew up with and pursuing the truth.” One specific lyric does intrigue me though, as it makes the narrator sound like an adventurous child who wants more than the cards they were dealt.
Lyric Spotlight: “See, I was born a restless, wayward child, I could hear the whole world calling me outside, of the masses I routinely sat behind, and Lord, I had to see with my own eyes”
These are just some examples! I highly recommend listening to The Oh Hellos, they are amazing!!

I don't know which WIP is it but THE VAMPIRE ONE ALI TELL ME ABOUT THE VAMPIRE ONE 🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️🧛🏻♀️
LMAO PLS I CACKLED
@majorbuckyegan also asked about the vampire AU, even if they didn't know it was 😂❤️ So the Vampire AU is "Half of your heart beats in my chest", I'm not sure why I bothered with a title since it's a universe more than a fic but anyway
I'm going to make a post to introduce it in a few days but this is my time to infodump on lore!!!
First, canon divergence, Gale and Marge do not exist in 1940s, they're not even born, but everyone else is. Bucky is turned in 1946, the same year as Curt.
Now for some lore :)))
There is a lot of stigma about vampires, especially pre-2000s when people were afraid vampires would forcibly feed from them and spread disease, including vampirism (which is actually misinformation because vampires cannot turn other people by biting them). Regulations are put in place but vampires still have to “prove themselves” and show they aren’t monsters because they’re “sick” and need blood to survive.
John and Curt settles in New York, in a vampire community, and surprise surprise, John Egan, who's had countless one-night stands trying to remember what it feels like to be human, who's accepted being alone forever, meets College student! Gale Cleven at the hospital when he goes to pick up his weekly blood bag (bc drinking from someone is a no-no). John being in awe of Gale who genuinely wants to help and care for vampires. Gale being head over heels over this vampire that hates himself for who he is but can't help being kind and sweet. Them having lil dates where Gale tells John what he learned in class (he's in a medical course centered on vampire care) and John giving him more handsome knowledge
SLOW BURN! VULNERABILITY!! PINING!! FLUFF!! WOOING!! COURTING!! SMUUUUUUUUUUUT (john railing gale to heavens bc he has vampire stamina bby)
also blooddrinking bc once John gets past his Issues, they both find Gale's a lil freak lmao
HURT/COMFORT!!! BUCKY GOING BERSERK WHEN SOMEONE HURTS GALE (bc well... gale has to a vampire at some point and I gotta make these boys hurt)
And lots of dating fluff bc I want to have fun exploring the Human/Vampire trope 🥰
I promise it'll be more detailed in the HCs I'll post soon but I hope it was to your taste 🥹
Also for the title - John's heart doesn't beat since he's dead but Gale's his heart so 🫡

Hi! First of all, just saying that you are an incredible writer. I’m relatively new to the F1 lore; I’ve watched the races since I was a kid, but not really with much passion. I think the last one I watched before the pandemic was a while ago, until I saw Charles "the Sun of Maranello" Leclerc winning in Austin at a restaurant. That’s when I fell hard for this little menace—not in a sexual way, but more in the sense that I’m completely endeared by him. He gives me the same rollercoaster of emotions I felt as a kid reading the last Harry Potter book... you know? That point when you want Harry to win so badly because the kid has suffered enough. The same goes for Il Predestinato—I need him to win more than I think is healthy, considering I don’t really know him and he’s a stranger, but god, he has my heart.
Anyway, since November, I discovered Lestappen, and you are one of the best pillars for me. Your Max (a total heartthrob) is EVERYTHING I want for Charles. I’m in love with the love your Max has for your Charles (who is a total babe), so THANK YOU for your gift.
Now, regarding the game (which is why I’m writing this)… I’m really intrigued by "miserable man (that does what he can)" because the narrative has always been that Max is going to retire first. However, if I think about it, Charles drives for his papa and for Jules (even Anthoine) more than he drives for himself. I feel like, of all the drivers, he carries the most self-imposed weight on his shoulders because there is a legacy (Jules) and a promise (papa), and I even feel like he feels guilty for making his parents favor his career over Arthur’s. So when you put all that weight on his plate… if Charles wins a single WDC, and if it costs him too much in terms of his mental health, he’ll leave. He’ll fulfill his promise and leave. I know he’s the hungriest on the grid right now, but I don’t know… I think now that he has other hobbies, he might take a step back and leave the narrative behind... dissapear for a year, buy a studio in Paris and produce award winning albums with Sofiane and maybe come back for Le Mans with his pal Tonio.
Sorry, just rambling. You’re amazing! Bye!
I need to thank you for this amazing, insightful ask because I had a terrible afternoon at work and then I read this and started grinning. Thank you!!! Please stop by and ramble any time.
You GET exactly where I'm coming from with Charles, and that makes me so happy. I can't remember exactly what inspired this fic, but I realized that I could actually see Charles potentially pulling a Nico and retiring after winning a WDC for exactly the reasons that you laid out above. I like flipping around narratives, and everyone always assumes Max will retire first, but WHAT IF Charles beat him to it? There aren't many fics that explore that (though I believe there are some out there), so I wanted to take a stab at it- I think it would be really interesting to see Max deal with losing his longest rival, especially if Max also assumed he would retire first..
Anyways!!! The fic is based around the five stages of grief and the following quote- "I am afraid I will love you forever, and we will never be in the same room again." (Clementine von Radics)
I don't have a good snippet yet, but here's some dialogue from an early section:
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I thought about it," Charles paused, suddenly looking hesitant, "I wanted to, actually. But… I didn’t even tell Pierre or Seb. I didn’t know how to explain that I told you and not them...”

Chill anon here
Yeah so I do ask her like all the time before I do anything and when we talked abt the whole physical affection thing I amdr sure to ask her if flirting was smth she was uncomfortable with..
She said no and I didn't want to press it any further and obv told her that I am here if she ever needs to talk
But I do need advice tho...
Idk if I told u but rn we r on winter vacation and V's mum took her phone so I can't talk to her.
But like on 25th when we met her father basically took her smhwr and she came back looking traumatized and when I asked her if se was ok or not she said that she was ok even tho I knew she wasn't. She had a hint of fear in her eyes And she looked so scared and all I wanted to do was hug her but I couldn't cuz all our old frnds were there.
And I swear the fact that nobody noticed that her whole expression and mood had changed And like I couldn't even talk to her .
She always has this tough exterior but ik like there's smth that she maybe wants to talk abt
I think she has problem both in her family and in skl....Like more about future life and like she always says that I'm not good enough
But Ik she went through a lot in her junior skl years idk wht exactly
I was talking to her uk abt my problems and she gave me pretty good advice and I asked her how smart she is And like how she manages the situation she replied with "I was never always this smart I made myself like this" and I felt sad and idk
And ik she goes through stuff aswell
Like Ik it ain't gonna be easy to have ur phone taken away
And for me I feel like there's a lot of stuff in her past that maybe bothers her now bc she couldn't talk about it
Bc like she is my friend and I care about her a lot
And it isn't fair that she can't talk about it and I'm not going to pressure her into talking about it whenever she will be ready I will be here
She still tells me some very minor things and I always tell her that we'll (me and my grp) be there for her
I feel so bad that she cam topen up... I mean I get her.....Ik it will take time for her to open bc she has raised herself to be the person who always looks out for others and raised herself to be tough even if things get hard
And I think this is bc whenever she went through stuff she maybe never had anyone to talk about it or maybe she did but she didn't feel safe?
Idk she is like an only child and ik that her mom is like rlly fun But idts her dad is
I've known her since class 2 and we hv always been friends we weren't close friends until this yr
But I rem back when we were in second and we all used to hv get togethers she was always quiet never spoke about anything
And now I feel sad for her and I want to hug her tightly and let her know that she can come to me.
Basically I want to know how can I talk to her about when Ik she is not doing well.... she is that person who will say she's fine but ik she isn't and I don't want to pressure her into talking
But like how can I make the situation better for her without like pressuring her into talking?? Idk if this makes sense
Sending love <33
Hi!
Okay I think you can do a few things. First, remember that you're completely right in saying that you can't force her. If you try too much, you'll juts make her uncomfortable.
But, you can always point out what you notice. it might make her more willing to talk if she hears that you care enough to notice those little things.
The other thing is, you can always try to talk about slightly more serious topics, to get her to open up, but not like...completely traumatizing things. Like..."Oh, I'm really afraid of heights bc x...are you afraid of heights?" like she's not going to just drop hugely important lore right away, but she might be willing to tell you little things, you know?
But the most important thing is to just continue to remind her you're there and you don't judge. Eventually she'll figure it out <3

Hey, thank you so much for answering all my questions! It helps! Curious about you saying "he had been very secretive, which created frustration for Louis and Claudia about their nature as vampires". In the movie he says he doesn't know anything because his maker never told him. Do we think this is a lie then? Is it a lie in the books? Do you recommend all the books or only select few? Are they all canon? I'm def interested in L&L centric stuff (don't think all books are?). Anyway, thanks again!
Hey, thank you so much for answering all my questions! It helps!
You're welcome 🌷
In the movie he says he doesn't know anything because his maker never told him. Do we think this is a lie then? Is it a lie in the books?
Yes and No!
TL:DR; I think some of us Lestat fans forgive him for keeping secrets from Louis and Claudia, it was partially for their safety.
Well, when Anne Rice wrote IWTV, she didn't yet have much of a backstory for Lestat; since she didn't know the secrets he kept from Louis, neither did Lestat 😅 So I would say, no, he wasn't lying then (technically). If that was the only book in the series, then he was not lying.
Anne Rice also wrote the '94 IWTV movie script, and at that time, she HAD written Lestat's backstory in The Vampire Lestat, so at that point Lestat knew secrets that he withheld from Louis and Claudia. In fact, Tom Cruise had read the first 3 books in the series, so his performance is informed from this immersion in the lore; you can see the simmering beneath the surface as Louis asks him questions, trying to get anything out of him, and Lestat evading as much as he can, until he can't evade anymore and bursts out in frustration and pain. He KNOWS and wants to tell him so badly!
(Hit the jump, cut for length)
So in the movie, Lestat is lying to Louis and Claudia by saying he doesn't know the secrets, but it's kind of a partial lie, because his maker, Magnus, gave Lestat very little information. Magnus didn't tell Lestat about the origin of the vampires or what their place was in a religious context. Magnus just wanted to leave behind an heir to his wealth and power before he died.
However, Lestat did learn the origin story of the vampires from Marius. In order for Anne to solve the problem of why Lestat withheld this information from Louis and Claudia, she made a retcon: Marius threatens Lestat that if he tells the secrets to anyone, Marius would punish him, because he can't have anyone know where he is, which could threaten the safety of the entire vampire species.
Marius threatens to crush Lestat to death or set him on fire with pyrokinesis, and that this punishment would include anyone Lestat told the secrets to 😭. So it's partly out of safety that Lestat won't tell Louis and Claudia those secrets.
Marius underscores that Lestat's fledglings might not be ready for this knowledge anyway, it could be "a horror to them," so in not telling them, Lestat is also protecting them from the potential psychological damage.
I think there's also some fanon that Lestat was afraid that in telling Louis and Claudia these secrets, that they might leave him, and that's a giant separate discussion, whether that counts as a form of abuse to keep them against their will. By telling them the secrets, they would have the knowledge of where to start looking for other vampires 😭 Which, again, is a safety thing for Lestat partly, because they were pretty weak as far as vampires go, and therefore vulnerable to more powerful vampires' attacks. And there are worse things than death for vampires.
Do you recommend all the books or only select few? Are they all canon?
I usually recommend reading all the books, even though there are some I prefer over others. How do you know what you will/won't like without trying them? Technically anyone can make the argument that all of the books are canon, but I treat the series like a buffet, as many book fans do, and so not everyone agrees which books are Truly Canon 😅
But in general, if I had to choose, the first 3 used to be referred to as the Trilogy™ (derogatory), those are the most universally-loved, and some fans find that Anne Rice strayed from the parts that made canon so delicious after the third book. I would recommend reading them in order of publication because that's the order Anne Rice explored the stories and characters (even though the timelines do jump around and there are interesting discrepancies between different character's accounts of the same events!)
I'm def interested in L&L centric stuff (don't think all books are?).
Not all the books are L&L centric, but they often have a moment here and there even in books that are not specific to them, like Tale of the Body Thief. So, some shippers will skim through a book just to find any mention of their ship. Knowing the context of L&L's meetups in TOBT definitely enhances the flavor of their scenes together, so I would recommend reading that one, even though it's not considered canon for some fans 🤷 Delicious angst! The Feels! But that is one of the more Problematic books in the series, so it's up to you whether you want to give that one a try.

Hey Aeryn, I was wondering what you recommend to get past FOMO and overthinking. I know I shouldn't feel this way but I can't shake it. I want to play all of the story but I start to feel anxious. I start overthinking and second-guessing and the cycle starts again. I have a WOL I'm enjoying writing but I can't get her to translate in-game. Any advice?
I admit, I don't often get FOMO, but when I do, I stop and ask myself: is this something I actually want to do? A place I actually want to go? An experience I need? An item I want? Or am I just reacting to others, especially friends, having fun and talking about a thing together, so it's pinging a social desire/need?
Cuz I can interact and talk with my friends in other ways and places. I don't have to do all the things they do, play the games they play, etc. I use in built filters and blacklists on my social media to not see things about games/shows/etc that I don't want hear about, and I stop following a lot of (usually sideblogs) accounts that deal with those topics. When I left WoW behind, I dropped a lot of those blogs, for instance.
(I think some people would be happier if they put down media they don't actually enjoy but only watch/play because the people in their lives do.)
What about playing the game is making you anxious? Is it doing the content? Most can be done solo now, but friends can help with the stuff that can't be, or there's always duty finder. Is it story and character direction? Afraid things will happen to your faves, or they'll grown and change in ways you don't care for? That's a risk in any ongoing media, and up to an individual where their "I'm done" point is where they don't enjoy that lore and canon anymore, and then make the decision to change it in fanfiction or drop the story altogether.
With everyone talking about new content right now, even trying to keep spoilers under wraps, it can be rough for sure. Everyone has opinions! And screenshots! And there's new fanfic!
Is the anxiety because of the WoL you started writing, and how she doesn't "translate" in game, and afraid the lore will continue to make that harder?
In that case, look at what the character is, what you've written...and what the character (your subconscious, really) is telling you they actually are, or need. If they don't fit the canon lore...It's OK. Change the story to fit as needed. Or....play through it and see what ends up working after all, with the benefit of knowledge.
You can't lock a character in stone; a story happens because characters want something (large or small), and in the course of the story they are changed in some way (large or small). WoL is an anime protagonist with plotstrong abilities and gifts that give players a lot of leeway in any direction. Some people don't play WoLs at all. Their OC is a person they roleplay and write about in the setting, the plot happens to someone else, and they just play the video game with that avatar.
So what isn't "translating"? Is it appearance related that can't be done without mods and artwork? Disabilities that likewise are tricky to show in game (which assumes a mostly able-bodied WoL)? A backstory that seems to not fit (the world's bigger than what we see)? A lot of detailed backstory and supporting cast that now make you feel boxed into a corner?
It can be hard, seeing people with deeply developed stories and characters and supporting cast, but you also have to remember: a lot of that is built over time. Aeryn didn't have nearly the detailed list of relatives to start, didn't have the "dad was a secret heretic" backstory until 4 years into playing her. I still haven't named all of Dark's siblings. I've seen some folks entirely rewrite their characters cuz something in an expansion spoke to them and it made more sense and made them happier than what they did before.
When I start overthinking a character story, I put the backstory away, and just play them for a bit. I keep a vague idea of what I think their personality might be, what reactions would seem right. And then I let "them" guide me as I play. And sometimes what a character tells me ends up far more interesting. Or I find the stuff I was anxious about adding to them...ends up being canon, or at least working out, anyway.
And if the concern is what other people will think about one's WoL....well, you can't control what others think. And trying to please everyone leaves you with a milquetoast bland sop who isn't interesting at all. Care about the character you want to write, even if that changes, and make them as interesting as you want.
I was saying in a convo yesterday that the shrieking about "Mary Sue and how to not be one" caused lasting societal trauma and people are still afraid of giving characters interesting traits and stories. A person was anxious about giving their WoL traits that might make them 'too much' or 'too special' but they're traits WoL canonically has. We're in an anime story as anime protagonists, be wild and weird. Not everyone will like it, and that's good, actually. Cuz others will love it, and it means you gave your writing and characters personality.
Final Fantasy XIV is a game that 90% of the time, the content isn't going anywhere. You go at your pace, you enjoy the story and side content. There's a lot, after 11 years. Do what you gotta to avoid spoilers, gushing, complaining, or otherwise talk about content you're not in yet to reduce the worry everyone else is having fun while you're spinning wheels a few expacs back. Figure out what you enjoy and love about the game, and focus on that for awhile. Let your WoL breathe, and just play without plotting out how they translate or fit, and remember stories aren't set in stone; they have to be malleable. Especially when trying to write/roleplay in someone else's world!
You should be in this for yourself. Because you find it fun, relaxing, enjoyable to experience. Because you want to tell a character's story even if it takes a hard left turn from canon lore. And if you have to mute and filter out and block some things and people on social media or chat or whatever, do what works for you. But when overthinking, turn that around and interrogate yourself: "OK, why do I feel this way? Why would this be bad? Do I want this or am I trying to follow the crowd?" Make lists, pros and cons. Figure out if it's actually FOMO and anxiety...or if you're trying to tell yourself something and you're just not listening.
Give yourself grace. This game is just one piece of our life's tapestry, and while there's probably friends who want to see you clear content, the world won't end if you don't catch up to the current patch right away, or write a 200k fic about your WoL's life by year's end, either. Go at your pace.

A knight from my order has been the most insufferable asshole towards me ever since I joined up, then suddenly turned into the nicest, sweetest, dearest friend of mine, and I entirely missed how or why or when it happened. He used to mock me and make fun of me at every opportunity, scold me for every mistake, not-so-gently chastise me for everything I've ever failed to do. Now he encourages me, tells me I'm doing a great job, teaches me moves and tricks, explains everything I ever ask about, he picked my armor set and keeps track of all the pieces, he ties my helmet for me and tied my hair once too, he gets angry at dishonorable opponents on my behalf, he asks me how I'm feeling and worries that I'm comfortable when I train in armor, he watches out for me in buhurt, he taught me how to use the buckler more effectively...
A few weeks ago spring had come into town and insects started swarming. I thought I'd keep it a secret but I guess I'd gotten rusty at hiding it: I'm terrified of bees. Can't do nothing about it, it's embarrassing. I was worried this knight would find out and tease me again. I mean, he still teases me, that never went away, he's just gotten more considerate about it, and he does shut up when I tell him he'd crossed a line. But - bees? That's hilarious. I couldn't even tell him not to laugh, that's some locked lore.
Well, he saw me flinch a few times and... He was nice? Unprecedentally nice. Nobody acts like that. He said "Don't worry, they don't usually sting unless you bother them" - I told him I'm not afraid of getting stung, and he didn't even press it. Asked worriedly if I was allergic - I'm not. And then nothing. I flinched again, he frowned sympathetically - and nothing.
And I keep thinking. What did I do? How did I earn this? Is it because I thanked him? Back when he was teasing me, I thanked him earnestly for giving useful advice, and I thought it'd surprised him a little, but not that much. When he helped with the armor set, I told him I'd buy him a chocolate bar. When I showed up with the chocolate the next practice day, he asked what it was for.
I guess the point of all of this is, I don't get him, and I think he doesn't get me either, but he's great company and I'm glad to have met him.

Something I'd like your input on because I'm just not sure if I missed something but... what in the world did Dain think Kaeya was at the start of that archon quest? Like I know he said he was a descendant of the Abyss founder but does that mean the cursed can still have children who are perfectly fine? Are they all just taking care of their cursed parents deep underground and that's why we've never seen any but Kaeya or are they afraid the curse only starts for those not full blooded when they step out of their homeland like referenced in the Sumeru journals and so no one dares step out? Cause if NOT Dain has far more manners than I for not shaking Kaeya immediately and asking just what the hell he is (or even after the quest when he learns that family had broken the curse and not being like "hey sorry traveler I'm gonna go hunt down that friend of yours cause honestly what the FUCK") Dainsleif's nonchalant reaction to seeing Kaeya has been haunting me since the quest came out cause of the implications that would mean on just what's actually left of or in khaenri'ah/abyss or if he thought initially that Kaeya was created like Albedo and simply took up the last name
I definitely would have thought the people theorizing children of the cursed would have been using this scene as evidence for their theories or something but at least at that time of searching I didn't see anyone bring it up
i genuinely can't tell how much dainsleif knows about kaeya. they were all pretty nonchalant about it, even paimon who by all accounts should have been more prying, because well...she's paimon.
unfortunately, i think it all comes down to bad writing and leaving out information to build suspense. like how the traveler should also shake venti by the shoulders to ask about their sibling. we know dainsleif is determined to get answers to the point he'll dive headfirst into random portals, so i think they just put them both back into lore jail so the game doesn't immediately end lol. it wouldn't surprise me if kaeya doesn't show up again in the next dain quest for this reason.
about that journal that mentioned people turning once they went outside: i actually think the author of that journal is the hydro rogue who is standing near it, surrounded by a couple of mourning flowers.
it's incredibly tragic, but their handwriting got increasingly distorted which implies that they got cursed anyway. the mourning flowers indicate that their family died there, (possibly of starvation before the curse could reach them), and the rogue is unwilling to leave their final resting place.
so for now it does seem that the curse is inescapable no matter where you are.
all in all, kaeya's situation is incredibly strange. what keeps bugging me is that his father called him their "last hope". this would imply that he's the ONLY one who can live in the "human realm" for the lack of better term. OR "last hope" refers to a collective of kids like kaeya who were placed in teyvat which is messed up if true.
#i still don't understand how clothar could die but kaeya's father is still cursed (bc of the bad handwriting#which means his hands are degrading like clothar's)#why was it only clothar who could break free? unless he didn't and its only his body that died and his mind is still out there#placed in another vessel or part of a hivemind or some shit idk#.txt#lore bytes

Hello! I've been browsing through the South Park fanfic corner and stumbled upon your New Kid Stories....well.....stories. Gotta say, I'm in love with it but noticed your last update was 2020.
I can understand if you've been busy, but I'd just like to ask what happened to the NKS episodes and it's latest, the Holiday Special? Are you still working on it? Have you dropped it? I'm very curious and have grown to love the fanfic and its writing so I hope that you're still working on it. If not, then it's a shame but it was a nice read either way.
Hello dear reader!
So! The current project with NKS is porting it over to Ao3 while doing some editing, rewording unclear narration, shortening info dumps to get to the point, and add illustrations when the mood so takes me.
The Holiday Special is intended to be my victory lap after the other eight 'Episodes' have been moved over. With so much time to think about it, I wanna rework the plot a bit.
There is also intention to write a second season of NKS. I have several stories outlined, pages of notes, and I'm really invested in Dee and their adventures, as well as the shinanigans Eric and the gang get up to.
THAT SAID I'm also trying to build more deliberate rest time into my daily habits, so the ETA on everything is I'll Get There When I Am Well Enough To Enjoy The Writing. That's happening more often, but I don't wanna go back to the burnt out place I was in where just reading over the last chapter I'd written was too big an ask for my exhausted brainmeats. So I'm taking it one day at a time, minimizing obligations and deadlines, and prioritizing my health... mainly because not doing that sent me to the ER twice between 2020 and 2022. Then I spent a year afraid to show my face anywhere, and unwilling to make anything for fear that people who were mad at me would come running to yell at me for not working on the last project I suddenly dropped out of... because of the mentioned ER visits and a full on meltdown.
I've been feeling a little braver lately. More and more I can't focus on whatever YouTube I'm watching because I have a scene playing out in my head ( that started up last month ) and I've been sketching occasionally as well. Slowly, I can feel the Drive building up again, yknow?
Dee ain't the only one who will sprint to the point of exhaustion XDDD I just do it creatively... but its no less of a destructive habit. Rest. Is. Required.
Thank you so much for messaging in and telling me how much you enjoyed reading the stories. I loved writing them. That love is why I wanna improve them during the move to Ao3, in hopes of making it more readable, and adding my artistic flare now that I'm on a platform where I can. :3
Also shout out to @obstinate-nocturna who has been super supportive since I've withdrawn. She is an amazing hooman who has an entire AU she writes where Lyssie has a twin sister which we call the ButtTwin universe. There is some fic to read and art to squee at over at @twonewkidsonesouthpark
Again, thank you for writing in, it was a great thing to come back to when I finally logged back into Tumblr 🥰

Violeta
The journey back from Windenburg to Henford is dreary and exhausting. The recent news made me wonder if any of it was worth it. I've spent so many years with him that I can't stand the thought of this happening...
I decide to make a stop at the Annorin mansion; I must know what Owen has found with his research. I have to know that Oskar is going to overcome this somehow.
He seems confused at my presence at the door. "I'm sorry, have you booked an appointment at all?"
"No. I need to know exactly what you've found regarding the research you are doing on Oskar Nivelheim's illness. I know your medical prowess is well-respected, and I am not about to lose him."
"Madam, I'm afraid I cannot share such information with-"
I grab him by the throat and lift him off the floor. His eyes become bloodshot, and his words turn to nothing but raucous spluttering.
"I am not asking you, I am telling you- what have you discovered? How far have you gone to save your own patient's life?!"
"I can't-"
I tighten my grip, and his eyes and face is almost the same hue as my dress at this point.
"What do you mean you can't?!"
I became so enthralled in choking the life out of the man that I realise he can't give me much of a response with my hand around his throat... nor is he any help to my cause if I suffocate him. I drop him to the ground, and he wheezes deeply with his hand against his throat.
"I can only do what is possible," he splutters between breaths. "That's as much as I'm willing to tell you. Some ailments are easier to cure than others. And some…are not curable at all, even in this day in age."
Owen finally regains his voice, and stares at me as if he's trying to intimidate me for a moment. "Either you can kill me, and have zero chances of success...or, you can let me live, and we at least have a fleeting one."
"Another question, then," I reply. "Where is your father?"
He lifts himself to his feet, and gestures at me to follow him into the kitchen. He offers a cup of tea before looking at me again, nodding to himself and not bothering to offer.
"You didn't answer my-"
"Patience," he snaps, taking a pause for a sip of tea. He clutches onto his neck in pain for a moment. "You and everyone in Henford wants my father dead."
"Do you blame me? He's responsible for the eventual death of the only man I ever trusted! I raised Oskar like a son for almost one-hundred-and-forty years, and now I'm going to lose him!"
Sometimes, I mourn the fact that vampires cannot cry. I can almost feel my numbness cracking, and the cold and painful sensation of despair stirring in my chest- and it is only going to get worse. If anything is to happen to Oskar, then I cannot promise that I will be able to keep up the veneer of humanity that I've learned from being here.
"No, no, I don't blame you at all," he says, speaking in a much calmer tone than before. "I don't blame anyone for wanting my father dead. But, you see, he's expecting people to come after him at this moment in time."
"If you want it to count, then you wait until his confidence has returned to him."

i followed you after don’t want your sympathy (beloved, thinking of my 5th reread actually). but learned behaviour was the turning point because what do you mean you conducted a 60k word character study of my favourite driver (which is canon at this point) AND you continue to do so in your other fics, your tags, your asks. your thoughts on everything f1 related are fascinating to me. and the personal lore you drop sometimes! it feels like admitting to a crush but i have notifications on for your blog 👉🏻👈🏻 i really enjoy your asks, the reblogs, all the fic recs. adore your brain really. i remember after qatar sprint one of my first thoughts was i wonder what rpf implications does amelia have for this, so it’s that serious. you’re amazing and i like everything about this place (apart from your header pic because i hate snakes 😭) 🧡🌹
oh my god notifications on for my blog, i'm crying!! this is so sweet. the rpf implications of the qatar sprint... i feel like you sending me an ask about it might've been what triggered the brainworms that eventually turned into intricate rituals. the symbiosis of fandom!! i always love seeing your messages in my inbox, genuinely a delight every single time 💕
also i'm so sorry for the snake header, i actually really like snakes but my boyfriend's deathly afraid, and we were hiking once on a trail infested with rattlesnakes and i lied to him that clapping would make the rattlesnakes scared (rattlesnakes can't really hear) because i thought it would take his mind off being frozen with fear. so he was clapping his way down the mountain yelling "go away snakes! i'm walking here!" and then when we got down i revealed the lie
(tell me why you follow me)
