KB as Luigi's toxic ex.
Listen.
Me, @istadris and probably many others who have seen their post have headcanoned that King Boo is Luigi's bitter, toxic ex who is pissed off that he was dumped and wants him back. Last night I came up with a literal timeline of how everything went down from LM1 to LM3 and I want to talk about it.
Lm1: KB was just another villain trying to show superiority, didn't even think Luigi would show up to save his bro and didn't have any traps or plans to defend against him, didn't even think he had to, hence why only the boos and poltergeist were actively aggressive towards Luigi, as it was under KB's command since he didn't want him getting Mario back, who was the actual priced possession at the time. Heck, there weren't even any Toads to save from paintings which shows KB's main goal.
Aftermath: KB is defeated and is shocked that he was defeated by Luigi, the second, shadowed brother of the hero of the Mushroom Kingdom with only a damn vacuum and some tiny elemental spirits he found hidden in the mansion. He wants to be mad but he's more curious and intrigued instead. This then leads him to try and learn more about the green man, heck even getting into Mario Kart, Mario Party and other games like this to try and approach him after hearing that Bowser was invited to these events too (He couldn't get into Smash Bros cause then it'd be too many Mario characters).
Start and end of the relationship: Luigi and KB know each other more personally now and they it ends up with them dating. But, KB is still an egotistical king that wants more power and he finds the purple gem stone that he replaced the red one with and it makes him more insane and aggressive. Luigi is scared and has to break up with him, trying to do so as lightly as possible so KB isn't too hurt emotionally and they can still be friends. Take three guesses on how that went based on LM Dark Moon. KB is furious and in denial, not wanting to let go of Luigi, but when he doesn't succeed he's so enraged that he swears to get revenge for this and keep him forever.
LM Dark Moon: KB learns of the new, docile ghosts that stay calm thanks to the power of the floating crystal called the Dark Moon (which I honestly want to look more into) and shatters it to unleash chaos and gain control over them. By this point, he knew how Luigi was the only one who could actually take on ghosts and boos and that he was more closely associated with EGadd so he was certain that he'd be called to do the job. Also because he kidnapped his brother again. The toads were just there and why not trap them to make it more fun? Afterall, the Toads were proper assholes to Luigi in way too many games so he took this chance to punish them for it. I don't think KB created all these mansions, he just found them and used them as his arenas, letting the ghosts figure out the how each one operated and use it to their advantage, with the boos often keeping them in line to the king's goal at hand. Even so, it was obvious that KB was more focused on doing actual harm to Luigi, with the creatures he created thanks to his new gem, to controlling the ghosts and even cursing the broken pieces of the Dark Moon, to going as far as to open a portal and let so many ghosts in that it nearly lead to the dimension collapsing on itself! All of this in a single night! I also want to point out the part in the scene at Secret Mines, where the boos had the ghosts in those red crystals to make them more powerful, taunting them while they themselves looked scared and trying to free themselves before having all that power forced into them and driving them crazy? That probably gave Luigi PTSD since he went through something similar with a worse outcome. And to top it all off, when he had finally all the pieces and thought he could go back to the lab to prepare to get Mario with probably the help of the ghosts, KB sabotages the camera that pixelated Luigi and went him in a pocket dimension that no one would be able to reach them and he couldn't escape from on his own. Honestly, I loved how they didn't have KB move at all besides him floating and staring at Luigi like that the entire time he mocked him, it made him look way scarier, like the calm anger mixed with menace. KB probably tried to make a deal that he'd let Mario go if he came back to him and ruled the land with him but Luigi refused and the fight started, if he couldn't make Luigi come to him willingly then he'd look lovely in a painting above his throne.
LM3: KB. Has. Lost. It. He is royally pissed and more psychotic than ever. He has become more ruthless and desperate to make Luigi pay before he is captured, knowing he couldn't save anyone, especially his bro and the princess. He was truly lucky he found such a naive ghost to willingly and obediently do anything he asked for and made the hotel probably as luxurious as his own castle as a way to show Luigi that this was the luxury he could have had but won't be able to enjoy now that he controlled ever spec of it. He is set on punishing Luigi in the worse way possible, the bosses using terrifying methods to defeat him, all unique and terrifying. Have you seen the T-Rex one? All ghost bosses had some strategy but that boss fight was immediate with no strategy except brute force and desire to kill. And the hotel is filled with deadly traps, spiked walls that slowly close in on you, locked in a room with deadly gas, axes swinging from the ceiling to slice you, the ceiling being threatened to collapse on you in a slow and torturous way, the list can go on but you get the idea. Luigi is greater danger than he'd ever been and at this point, KB is set on having Luigi alive or dead as long as he's his. He is sick to double-death with him slipping away from him when none of this even needed to happen.

An entire essay about Boouigi? Please, go ahead! Rant and rave to your hearts desire! ❤️
OKay first let's talk about how King Boo is the perfect nemesis to Luigi the way Bowser is to Mario.
Mario is constantly associated with fire, is a physical, direct fighter. He's straightforward and simple in his concept, and so is Bowser : hero vs dragon, loud braggart vs silent humble guy, that kind of thing.
Luigi is...a weird case. He's more flawed and complex; he's scared, he's greedy, he's feeling overshadowed, he's clumsy, he's a loser. He's usually Mario's counterpart when it comes to ability but that's hardly consistent : is the opposite of fire lightning? Ice? Water?
What is Luigi's deal ?
One of the most consistent theme of that yin-yang is the Sun/Moon theme. Mario, bright, burning, shining, warming through his presence and bringing life. Luigi, shy and secretive, hiding in the shadows, weird powers abound, and his games are all focused around night and ghosts (and by extension death).
There's some moral ambiguity in his actions too: fans have been debating for years about how much E.Gadd and King Boo are justified in their respective actions. Is E.Gadd a sinister scientist capturing sentient creatures and people into portraits, or a well-meaning scientist trying to prevent ghosts from being dangerous? Is King Boo trying to protect his Boos or is he just a petty bastard? You wouldn't get that kind of debate about Mario fighting Bowser (unless you're an edgy youtuber trying to make noise)
And people have pointed out before me, but Luigi is often paired with nice people and villains alike, because where Mario is incorruptible as the Hero, Luigi would be more vulnerable to the sirens of evil, even if he never actually turned evil, because he's a sweety pie.
EDIT : HERE'S THE POST I WAS THINKING ABOUT REGARDING LUIGI'S WEAKNESS TO CORRUPTION
He's more like King Boo than he would like.
There's also the supreme irony of Luigi being so terrified of ghosts that of course his main enemies are all kind of ghosts, spirits and such. And yet ! He can be friendly with them! Polterpup of course, and other ghosts, he wouldn't attack them if he could! He just wants to take a nap without someone trying to murder him!!! So it's funny for me to picture him befriending the Boos, including their King, especially when at first the latter wants to KILL KILL BITE BITE. Speaking of which, I love fanarts in which KB has a gaggle of lil boos cheering him up in his attempts to woo Luigi. Go get'im, boss! You're irresistible, surely this time he'll fall for you!
Oh yeah, because I LOVE the trope of KB having been trying to seduce Luigi all this time and kidnapping his family was the best he could come up with. Honestly, look at how long he let Luigi run around in every Mansion instead of just swarming him!
(Now I want a fic where KB just goes "you know what, screw it, I've waited long enough ,ALL ON HIM!!" ...how angsty or humorous it gets is up to you ;p)
I had a joke at some point (and now it fits with the ghost seducer AU) that all that money Luigi finds is KB paying Luigi for cleaning up, or sugar daddy-ing him up and trying to get him to stay.
KB : *throws gold ingots and diamonds at Luigi* TAKE MY MONEY, WHORE!!
And oh, the naughty, naughty things King Boo could do with this tongue...

I don't know about you but I want a Luigi's Mansion movie. And have them throw in some brotherly flashbacks
It would be great to see a Luigi's Mansion adaptation...but I think it would be better as a spin off, not as a theatrical release.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't want one...but when you look at the context of what the games are, a movie where Luigi is running around a mansion (no matter how colourful or interesting you make it) would not be appealing for Hollywood as a movie concept. Imagine how the general audience would feel, after the excitement of seeing Mario travelling to these different places in the first movie, only for the sequel to be stuck in one building...yeah that will not go down well at all.
Plus, you know they would still want to use Mario a lot, for the branding.
So here's a couple ideas I propose for what the sequel could be:
1. The sequel takes elements from Luigi's Mansion, and makes it a grand road trip instead. Say, King Boo is introduced as the villain, and brings in his army of Boos to enslave the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario and Luigi must travel around the kingdom and gather things to stop him. Then in the 3rd act, Mario gets captured, and Luigi is forced into the worst situation he has feared: being the only one left as the last hope. He of course gets the courage, and uses the Poltergust to stop King Boo!
2. The sequel is based on a game more akin to the RPGs : aka M&L Superstar Saga 😁
It would honestly be perfect! You get to see even more new worlds, the brothers get to travel and battle together, and there's plenty of new characters to introduce 🌹

Okay, just got back from the Mario movie, thoughts under the cut.
SPOILERS AHOY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
This movie was delightful. I think I was grinning almost the entire time. Yes, it's a love letter to the Mario franchise. To quote Bojack Horseman, it's not Ibsen, but not everything has to be.
The visuals were stunning.
The SCORE WAS FANTASTIC. They did an incredible job of arranging 8bit video music game music for full orchestra. And yes, there was a short Luigi's Mansion quote when our boi was exploring the woods.
Speaking of our boi...LUIGI!!!! I LOVE HIM! He's such a mess and jeeze, did he get roughed up by Bowser. But there's something I want to point out about his "moment," as it was, in the finale. Well, two things.
Firstly, Luigi with the shield (manhole cover) looked like something straight out of Captain America. And for once, he's protecting his brother.
Secondly, Mario went through all this extensive training to beat Bowser. Luigi just shows up and...does it. Knows next to nothing about the Mushroom Kingdom or power ups or whatever, he just starts jumping around with equal skill and facility as his brother (yeah, yeah, I know they needed it for the grand finale, but in-universe, it's a hell of a thing.)
Honestly, I had no issues with any of the voice actors. Toad and Kamek were both unexpected delights. And yes, Charlie Day killed it, as was expected.
I could have done with fewer slo-mo bits - those did get a little old.
A lot of the reviews mention the pacing as an issue. Yeah, the movie probably could have used another 30 minutes, or - and this might be controversial of me to say, they could have cut the Bowser piano scene, as I personally didn't feel like it added much to his character. (The scene between him and Kamek rehearsing the proposal, however, was hilarious.)
LUMA YOU DEMENTED SOUL. Perfection.
Gods, the Brooklyn scenes. So good. Poor Luigi was really getting talked over by that one family member, grrrrrr.
Mario calls him "Lu"? ADORABLE.
I also think we could have done without the baby Luigi and Mario scene. Like, we get the dynamic, let's not lampshade Luigi's lack of confidence.
I started pumping my fist when I heard the Mario Brothers rap in surround sound. RELIC OF MY CHILDHOOD.
Okay, yes, Luigi was underutilized and my hope is that he gets his own character arc in the next movie. Or, you know, we could do a Luigi's Mansion flick, which I will pay to see 50 times in the theater. (Or or, we could go really darkhorse and ask for a Super Paper Mario film, but I doubt we'd ever be that lucky). Anyway, that really was my largest complaint of the film - we needed MORE LUIGI and MORE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT FOR LUIGI. LET MY BOI BE INDEPENDENT.
9/10, taking off a point because I just want to see my boi on screen at all times. I had a blast (and showed up in my lowkey Mr. L outfit!)

Character ask game! 4, 14 and 23 for beetlejuice🪲🧃
Yay! I get to talk more about Beetlejuice! ✨
Once again, I will be focusing on Musicaljuice, since I have a lot to say about him-
4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?
-
I've rambled several times about how I want to see this man in a cartoon reboot, but if I had to put Musicaljuice in any other kind of media, I would love to see him in a video game! Personally, I love RPG games! I think it would be really cool to see him in that kind of genre.
Realistically, I can see him being in a video game adaptation of the musical, or a post-musical plot where Lydia and Beetlejuice go on all kinds of crazy adventures.
Now... if I were to be self-indulgent as to what kind of game I would personally like... I'd really like a Luigi's Mansion-esque game where you work alongside Beetlejuice to keep living people from trying to take over the house he and a couple of other ghosts reside in, rather than trying to throw them out.
It would start with you and Beetlejuice butting heads with each other (our first instinct is going to be to exorcise the ghosts haunting this house, and obviously Beetlejuice doesn't want that), but after living with him and the other ghosts for some time... you both begin to warm up to each other.
Honestly, I would just like a game where I can have the option to romance Beetlejuice JDSFDFHGF
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
-
This question was a little bit complicated for me... I wasn't so sure if I wanted to approach it like, "what kind of aesthetics do you think he rock in?" (which, the answer to that would be that he will adapt to any aesthetic you threw him in) or "which aesthetic do you think the best characterizes him?"
If you were to ask me what I think his aesthetic should be... I really love the idea of him leaning more towards the romantic goth aspects that Tim Burton's Corpse Bride has.
I've just always loved how that aesthetic can be so captivating and beautiful, while also having the ability to be morbid and terrifying - I feel like that best suits my depiction of Beetlejuice.
Also, the thing that made me love Musicaljuice over the other two well known juices is how he captures the essence of his predecessors while absolutely just ✨️slaying✨️.
23. Favorite picture of this character?
-
I have several, depending on the context, but I'm going to just stick to my favorite one that I have drawn and my favorite one of Alex.
Unfortunately... I haven't been able to draw Beetlejuice as much, since I've been busy and making art takes some time for me, so I'm going to have to stick with my very first drawing of him! I still wish that I took more time to properly figure out the structure of his body, but I couldn't be happier with how his outfit turned out!
Tumblr media
When it comes to my favorite Alex-related image, I have to go with this professional photo by Davy Mack. I just love how beautiful Alex's makeup looks in this one! This was also the image that inspired me to give Beetlejuice yellow demon eyes!

Wall o’ Text : The Nintendo Direct
Figured I may as well type up my thoughts on everything from the Direct.  I have it going in the background to remember everything that was shown.  So yeah, if you care about trailer spoilers, now’s your chance to bail, yo.
So let’s get to it, and hopefully not get interrupted by another powerout.
1) Pokemon ScVi DLC - I’m looking forward to these.  ScVi can be a buggy mess, but I still overall enjoyed the games.  Since I’m not super competitive, I don’t look at a bunch of new legendaries as “OH GOD WHAT WILL THIS DO TO THE META QUICK BAN EVERYTHING,” I just see them as “Oh, cool, new things to collect and train, yay!” I do however hope there are still some things they might be hiding.  I’d like to see some new Paradox forms show up.
2) Sonic Superstars - Honestly looks pretty good.  I do wonder if we might get more characters as DLC.  I’d especially love to see what a Classic style Cream would look like.
3) Palia - ...... (checks “cozy farm sim off the bingo sheet”)  Nothing really stood out to me here, other than the phrase “free to play,” meaning microtransaction heck.  No thanks.
4) Persona 5 Tactica - Tactics games usually aren’t a go to for me, though this looks maybe more like the kind of tactics used in things like Mario + Rabbids, which I enjoyed, so I might be interested in this one?  Not super high priority, but on the radar.
5) Mythforce - This honestly might be on the “I’ll want to see more” list.  The artstyle is actually pretty dang nice, it definitely captures that He-Man style saturday morning cartoon look.
6) New Splatfest - Well, I can’t play online, don’t even HAVE Splatoon 3, but as far as choice, I’m torn between Strawberry or Mint Chip, love both of those.  But hey, Vanilla is good too.  Honestly hard to pick on this one.
7) Detective Pikachu Returns - Okay, was NOT expecting that.  I enjoyed the original, so definitely happy for it.
8) Super Mario RPG Remaster - Oh gods it looks beautiful.  It’s one of the rare RPGs that I really did enjoy, so I’ll likely be interested in this one.
9) Untitled Peach Game - Intrigued, but we know like, nothing.
10) Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon Port - I have the 3DS game, but never actually played it, so this might spur me to do so.
11) Batman : Arkham Trilogy - I might actually want this.  I loved Assylum and City, never got to play Knight, but I quite enjoyed the ones I did play.  A case of “wouldn’t mind an excuse to play them again.”
12) Gloomhaven - No real strong thoughts on this one admittedly.
13) Just Dance 2024 Edition - (checks the year)  Hey, you can’t do that!  Anyway, no real strong feeling here either,
14) Silent Hope - I’m not sure anything really drew me in on this one.  The concept of no one being able to talk, I at first wondered what that would do for storytelling, like, how they’d work with that concept.  I figured it could be interesting, but also would run the risk of if everything’s just pantomimed, it could get tiring.  But then we just get an NPC that talks for everyone anyway, so... (shrug).
15) Fae Farm - Oy, I already got the “cozy farming sim” checkmark.  No strong feelings here.
16) Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged - I never played that previous Hot Wheels game that came up, but it looked like it could be interesting.  Was the original any good?
17) Manic Mechanics - Basically Undercooked but with car fixing?  I’ve played Undercooked solo which, uh....  Oof.  It’s a lot to keep track of, haha.  Definitely something that would be more fun with other players.
18) Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC - I still need to finish the first game, but it is enjoyable.  So happy for this, and already have the pass so got it downloaded.
19) Dragon Quest Monsters : The Dark Prince - Heck yeah new DQM, I did enjoy those games, so might want this.
20) Pikmin 4 - (hype intensifies)  Super looking forward to this.  I’m happy to see Pikmin 2 style dungeons return, I enjoyed those.  Wonder if we have a time limit this time or not, I can enjoy with or without, but I do wonder if this might be more PIkmin 2 style “take your time,” which I can appreciate.
21) Pikmin 1 + 2 - Heck yeah, all four Pikmin games on one system?  Well, no Hey Pikmin, but the mainline ones, which heck yeah.  I’ll probably wait for the physical version though.
22) Metal Gear Solid : Master Collection Vol. 1 - I’ve never been too into the Metal Gear series, buuuuuut I might be thinking of getting it as a holiday gift for my uncle.
23) Vampire Survivors - Already got it on Steam.  And still haven’t figured out how to survive a full minute past Death’s appearance which is like, a requirement on every stage.
24) Headbangers Rhythm Royale - My only real thought here is Team 17 made a pigeon game, so they will explode violently and not where you told them to.
25) Penny’s Big Breakaway - This looks super fun, I hope it turns out good.
26) Mario Kart 8 DLC - I’m kind of surprised Kamek got in as the Tour rep over Pauline.
27) Star Ocean The Second Story R - I have no real nostalgia for this one, never played the original, don’t know much about the series.
28) WarioWare : Move It! - My only concern is how responsive will the motion controls be.  I usually find motion controls frustrating.
29) Nintendo Live - No way I’d be able to attend, so no real thoughts.
30) Tears of the Kingdom amiibos - These look cool, definitely want them.
31) Super Mario Bros. Wonder - Honestly, yes please.  This looks super fun.
So yeah, all in all, very strong Direct.

So... Nintendo Direct thoughts I guess.
I joined a little late, so honestly, I just fast forwarded through all the games I didn't care about. Kinda the way to go tbh.
I still don't know about pokemon man. Everyone is saying "Yeah it's poorly made but it's one of their better games in a long time" but like I don't know how much I trust a pokemon fan's opinion on that that... you know I preordered Violet, after Legends Arceus left a good impression on me. But I cancelled it after some financial harships started happening and now I feel like I dodged a bullet.
Sonic Super Stars is looking pretty good, I really... really wish Fang was playable... I know he's a bad guy but I love him so much and have always wanted him to be playable... I'm just glad he's back at all, and his 3D model looks decent.
That "Saturday Morning Cartoon" inspired game intrigues me but like they shouldn't have had the boring Nintendo Direct narrator talking over the trailer and let the game speak for itself, show it's personality a little... does it have cheesy filmation style dialogue?? Also their villain looks kind of lame compared to like, Skeletor or Prime Evil.
Still not sure about Splatoon 3. It just looks like more of the same to me, I am kind of curious, but at the same time, it feels too late to start now... then again, if the game really is as samey as it looks, I could probably just coast on what I know from Splatoon 1 and 2.
I have no interest in Detective Pikachu as a franchise and the fact that his personality just seems to be "I love coffee" does not endear me to the character.
Super Mario RPG
Holy Fucking Shit
I didn't think the maniacs would do it.
When I heard the rumors I was like "Yeah right... this does not fit in line with the current corporate image of Mario, they're not gonna do it, and if they do, they'll butcher the art style"
I was so fucking wrong, it looks amazing. They even made Mario all squat and pudgy like the original game, I love it so much, and it looks like there are new cinematics... possibly even entirely new sections of the game what with Bowser riding his Clown car with the others.... that or they're new special attacks. I can't fucking wait you guys it looks so fucking good, I hope they consider making it a franchise again. I still have the original game but I am going to buy this day one.
We even saw Boshi briefly, and the spines still have their weird shapes. I have no reason to believe they'll change Terrapins into standard looking Koopa Troopas now. Literally all my fears are gone.
Don't know what to think about the Peach game. I make it no secret, I'm kind of over the whole arts and crafts aesthetic in games and a game that's just a stage play seems no different. I'm not even sure what kind of game it is. I just would have wanted another platformer. I guess I have to see more.
Luigi's Mansion 2 coming to Switch is a pleasant surprise. I wonder if we're going to enter an age of 3DS ports, because I can think of several 3DS games I want to see on Switch. Kid Icarus and A Link Between Worlds chief among them Luigi's Mansion 2 is my least favorite in the series, but it's still a good time. It not being on handheld makes me more likely to replay it. I do think they could have enhanced the visuals a little more though.
Too little too late with Batman. I already bought it on PC. I would have bought the Arkham Trilogy day one if it launched earlier in the Switch's life. But i'm glad the option is there for people.
I'll be honest I thought Dragon Quest Monsters looked pretty "meh", and I don't know if it's just a bad trailer or what, but the fact that the Solo, the Hero from DQIV shows up, immediately got my interest, he hs my fave hero design, and I was happy he was a skin in Smash Bros... still, man, this looks like a 3DS game... How can they be releasing this after Dragon Quest XI?? Also, is the playable character the bad guy from DQIV? I played the NES version so I didn't really see his human form.
Not much to say about Pikmin. It looks like Pikmin. Which is a good thing. But I don't know how eager I am to play it. Not a day one purchase, but an eventual purchase.
I am tempted by the Metal Gear Solid collection but it has so much extra shit that I don't really need which probably jacks up the price and I think I might prefer playing MGS1 on a CRT anyway. But man it's jsut been so long since I played Metal Gear that I don't even care I just want a way to play it. I'm just glad it's not a fucking Cloud game.
Penny's Big Breakaway had my attention just from the character designs, it screams Playstation 1 platformer. Like Mega Man Legends or Tail Concerto or something. And it's a 3D platformer... but when I heard the Sonic Mania team is working on this, i'm all in. I just wish the enemies weren't just a bunch of dopey looking birds, I want a least some kind of cool factor in the game. But yes I will be keeping my eye on this one.
Mario Kart 8 DLC looking okay. I expected Petey. He's cool I guess but i'm not gonna play as him. I'll be happy to see him on the track though. He was kind of a big part of Mario History in the Gamecube and Wii era.... Wiggler though? Meh... and KAMEK. He should have been in the base game imo, he should be a mainstay in every spinoff, he should have been introduced with the Yoshi's Island course... I'm very happy to have Kamek here. The course looks interesting too. Glad it appears to be another new course.
The new Wario Ware....... looks like Smooth Moves 2. Was the boring Nintendo Direct Narrator doing a Wario voice or did Wario get a new voice actor?? Anyway. I'll keep an eye on this. Smooth Moves was my 2nd Fave Wario Ware game, so this shows potential.
I was pretty bummed out when they mentioned Tears of the Knigdom, and it was only to announce some Amiibos... I still can't even find the Link Amiibo. They look nice though. It will be nice to have a Ganondorf Amiibo that doesn't look like shit. ( No offense to TP Ganondorf fans, but you gotta admit, the first wave f Smash Bros Amiibos is kind of rough ) ...I hope this isn't a deconfirmation of DLC. I really want more of this game, now that the main story is done and my list of side quests is rapidly shrinking, I'm getting sad about the inevitable end of one of my fave Zeldas.
And the big one
Super Mario Wonder
I'll admit I was disappointed that it was doing 3D again instead of a hand drawn style...
But the characters look so good now. They actually look more like 3D models of Koichi Kotabe's artwork. Mario and co are so expressive, their stances are not nearly as boring as the New Super Mario Bros games, their animations are so good, calling back to Mario 3 and Mario World with the blurry feet and airplane run, Mario actually HAS facial expressions now... and holy shit is fucking DAISY playable? Without sacrificing Toad? This is pretty huge! The enemies are looking really cool and stylized too, they all seem to have gotten model upgrades!
I will say... this is reminding me a little bit of Kirby Return to Dreamland, which... is worrying to me. That "wonder Flower" reeks of a Kirby gimmick, and I honestly find that Kirby's gimmicks lately just kind of slow the flow of the game, and often times just feel like all flash and no substance. "ooh I destroyed a hole room of enemies with a really big sword that I was forced to pick up" like I don't actually feel like I accomplished anything with that... I hope I'm wrong.
Also, I heard the rumor that there would be elephants... I don't like elephants. I thought I'd hate Elephant Mario... but you know what, he makes me smile.
I am so excited for this game.
This was definitely one of the better Nintendo Directs in a while, it won't top the back to back Banjo in Smash and Tears of the Kingdom reveal for me, but i'm pretty happy with what's on the horizon.

Nintendo Direct 9/14/2023
Tumblr media
This Direct is pretty much what I expected from the Switch at this stage in its life. One potentially interesting new game, plus a bunch of remakes and third-party/indie titles, as well as wrapping up the DLC content for all their games.
Another Code: Recollection was honestly the highlight of the direct for me, and I don't even plan on getting it. Maybe I should. In a sea of remakes of games that your average Nintendo fan my age already owns, seeing an obscure duology from the DS and Wii get another chance at life is great, especially with one of the games being Japan-exclusive previously. A genuinely nice little surprise.
Princess Peach: Showtime! looks like it's going to be Nintendo's last actual new game on the Switch. I'm not even sure what genre this game is supposed to be, but the outfits look snazzy as hell and I'm keen to learn more. Big win for the lesbians.
Splatoon 3 - Side Order is interesting, and I hope it impresses to a similar degree as Octo Expansion. Not much else to say right now.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door rightfully had people screaming. This, combined with Super Mario RPG's remake, gives me the slightest bit of hope that Nintendo might one day produce a new Mario RPG that everyone can agree is good. Hopefully this game has some new features over the original.
WarioWare: Move It! looks like a great game for parties and families. I'm very glad Nintendo still makes WarioWare, even though they don't sell very well.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong looks nice, but I've never had much interest in this series, and neither has the Nintendo fandom at large from what I've seen. At least this one's not centered around the Mini Marios. I'd be down to try it for the right price, which is most likely not going to happen with Nintendo. Very happy for any fans of the GBA original. Sad for all the Donkey Kong Country fans who got their hopes up.
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is... yet another remaster. Except unlike the other ones from today, this one just looks like an upscaled 3DS game. I'm always up for new ways to play old games, especially ones that released on unique hardware like the 3DS, but with Nintendo's pricing this one's going to be very hard to justify.
Detective Pikachu Returns is at least a new game. I don't think I've met anyone who played the original. If you're into this sort of game, fantastic. While I'm glad there's finally a game where you can creep on people with Luxray, I'll have to pass.
F-Zero 99 just makes me sad. Another battle royale gimmick game that's going to disappear, just like Super Mario Bros. 99. Except this time it's with a series that's been dead for 20 years. Even without Pyoro's leak baiting us, this is a massive letdown, regardless of the quality of the actual game.
For the rest, everyone I know loves Dave the Diver, I just haven't gotten around to it. I'm surprised Riot announced Bandle Story here, but it looks nice. Contra: Operation Galuga looks kind of ugly tbh, and I don't know what to think about Tomb Raider I-III Remastered's graphics as someone who never played the originals. Unicorn Overlord is something I might look into, and I really need to play Wargroove so I can know whether or not to be excited for the sequel.
Something something trombone, something something amogus. The Funky Kong is real. 7/10 Direct. Some nice surprises, but remake fatigue is very real. For the final stretch of the Switch's lifespan, it's about as good as I could have realistically expected, if not slightly better.

There's actually a SUPER easy way to make the "foolish mortal character(s) are stuck in the mansion and need to get out" plot work in a Haunted Mansion film, but I NEVER see anyone talk about it.
If Disney insists that their Haunted Mansion films focus on a mortal main character, then why not just use the Groundskeeper? He's already an established character within the lore, and it's heavily implied that he's terrified of the ghosts, and in the SLG comics he lost his wife. So they could still use the Disney Kingdoms storyline of the ghosts just need a mortal's help getting rid of a SUPER evil ghost, while easily keeping all themes from that series about dealing with fear and grieving lost loved ones and how to move forward from it.
Also he has a cute animal companion, so if you think about it, he kinda checks off the most important of the Disney protag boxes!
((100% agree! That's actually what the video game did, setting the Groundskeeper-who is given the name Ezekiel Holloway, a name I've adopted for my verse-as the game's protagonist, clearing out the evil that's running loose in the house, and I could see it working really well for a film as well! The Groundskeeper is, as far as I know, the only mortal person in the ride itself (excluding us riders), and like you said, he has a cute animal companion, which is pretty important for being a lead in a Disney film, and even beyond that, I think he could be a pretty solid audience surrogate! And the idea of facing fears and confronting grief would be very poignant for a series like The Haunted Mansion!
Honestly, I don't know why Disney hasn't landed on the idea of using him as a protagonist beyond the game: Is it because he's an older man? The game made him considerably younger, so they could easily go that route if they wanted to, there's a lot of comedy you could milk as he meets the ghosts and is subsequently freaked out by them (a bit like Luigi's Mansion, but with less vacuuming!), but eventually comes to settle down around them and befriend them, which could lead to some very poignant moments as he gets to know them! And again, he's got a cute little hound dog (who, in my verse, is named Elvis), checking off that box, as mentioned previously! Seriously, why isn't this the movie we're getting, Disney?))

Shannon: Hi Pocket, I have a few quick questions. How many Mario games have you played? Which is your favorite? And have you played or heard of the Mario and Luigi games?
Hi Shannon! Oh boy…I don’t remember, honestly. A few of the Mario videogames I had have been given away. I gathered a list of all the games I’ve played at least 4 times in my lifetime:
-Super Mario Bros 3 (GameBoy)
-Super Mario 64 (Wii Version)
-Original Super Mario Bros (NES)
-Super Mario Sunshine (GameCube)
-Mario Superstar Baseball (GameCube)
-Super Mario Strikers (Wii)
-Super Mario Sluggers (Wii)
-Super Mario Bros Wii
-Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii)
-Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (Wii)
-Mario Party DS
-Super Mario 3D World
-Mario Kart 7 (3DS)
-Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon (3DS)
-Super Smash Bros for Wii U
-Mario Kart 8 (Wii U)
And that should be all of them! Though I clearly didn’t play all the Mario games (But who the heck has?!), I did enjoy the hell out of what we had growing up. And The Mario Bros games were me and my brother’s favorite games to play and bond over. And…Watching the Mario Bros Movie really felt like…all those memories were made for this one reason: To watch a film that would encompass millions of people’s childhoods and adulthoods. It was mind-boggling.
My personal favourite has to be Super Mario Sunshine. Super Mario Sunshine is just…a beautiful game when played on the right gaming system. I loved the different places you could go into, the many levels, the potato-looking island folks, and the F.L.U.D.D machine. It brings me euphoria just thinking about the game and the things me and my brother did while watching and playing.
I have heard of the Mario and Luigi games, but I’ve never played them myself. But I would certainly love to, if given the chance.

20. A boss you think is really cool
Hmmm... that's an interesting one! I'm gonna answer with a few different bosses, bc 'cool' could mean a lot of different things
Cool design + concept: Blizzeta from Twilight Princess (her 2nd form also has what's probably my 2nd fave boss theme of all time)! I also like the in-story context for her boss battle so much! (spoilers for Twilight Princess) We know already that the mirror shards are a corrupting force, and earlier we see that the Goron Chief was corrupted by the Fused Shadows. But here we see, via freaky ass cutscene, a character we liked get corrupted in front of us- it's no longer a generic 'beat the bad guy' boss fight, it's a 'saving the innocent' battle with personal stakes! and the cutscene that initiates her battle? Iconic. Everyone in the fandom knew NOT. TAKE. MIRROR. I also have an attachment to her for very personal reasons haha. But yeah her design fucks hard, I wish the combat was as interesting as the rest of her schtick.
Cool (I admire them): Cynthia from pokemon gen 4 are u kidding me I wanted to be her SO BAD as a kid. She wiped the floor with me so many times. I made a sprite edit using her as a base when I was like 12 and used it for an avatar. If I can remember the name of my old forums I'll post it.
Cool as in 'has stuck with me': Honestly a lot of the OG Luigi's Mansion ghosts are cool bc they're like... just people, and it's real wild that the first boss of this nintendo game is somebody's dead mom. But Bogmire stands out for being kind of surprise creepy. I think about it a lot. What's its deal. Yeah it's the personification of the house's misery or whatever, but what does that MEAN. I was like 5 or 6, playing this game, and I go to a hidden graveyard and knock on a big cool gravestone and initiate this battle. For little me, it was the right mix of creepy but engaging. I was nervous but not terrified. I would buy a Bogmire plushie.
Cool as in 'I look forward to it when I play the game': The darknut minibosses from both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. Yeah the Wind Waker one isn't that tough now that I have a big grown up brain, but it's still neat, and WW Darknuts are my literal all time favourite enemies to fight in any game ever. I never pass up the chance.
The Twilight Princess one, though? Holy shit. I replayed the game like 2 years ago, and that bitch STILL kinda freaked me out! YEAH you can cheese him with the bomb arrows if ur a little bitch, but if you do a genuine bona fide sword fight? That shit's fun as hell. There's this unnameable dread when you first enter that room. You can feel in your BONES that that suit of armor is going to come to life and whoop your ass.
Cool as in most badass/dramatic: oh yeah it's gotta be the Wind Waker final battle. Everything about it RULES. (SPOILERS) You're having a desperate sword fight for your life, a 10 year old kid who left home a month ago vs an ancient warlock who was so powerful the gods themselves had to seal him away.
He won, btw. Like Ganondorf literally wins in WW. It takes KoRL stepping in to DROWN BOTH HIMSELF AND GANONDORF to prevent Ganondorf from getting his wish. So you're trapped in a room, water pouring in on all sides, against a man who... doesn't even hate you. He's just doing what must be done. He could have killed Zelda, but he doesn't. He puts his sword away and backhands her instead of running her through. He's 100% just playing out his destiny. You aren't the one who defeated him the first time, you're just some kid who was dragged into this by a ghost.
And when you kill him BY STABBING YOUR GODDAMN SWORD INTO HIS HEAD, he laughs quietly before delivering one of the most iconic lines in Zelda history. Like that whole battle, from opening cutscene to the final, is so intense. So fucking intense. I'm convinced they couldn't have gotten away with half the shit they do if the game wasn't so cutesy. Easy Teen rating.
Cool as in Best: WW Molgera is 10/10. The fight itself is fun and satisfying! Molgera has a KICK ASS design! It's a fantastic and mood-setting opening cutscene! The sound design on the boss is freaky in all the right ways! It's a UNIQUE boss battle! She's got the greatest boss battle theme in the whole goddamn series and I'll DIE on this hill! She was so scary I cried while watching my dad play when I was little, and once I got to her battle on my own I not only remembered her, it took me two days to work up the courage to face her, and I felt like an absolute fucking badass once I did! In that moment, I fell well and truly in love with video games. I was Link, a child facing down an ancient wyrm, terrified but pressing on.
Also, in the original GCN version of the game, the hitbox on her tongue doesn't go away when she starts flying, so you can hookshot it and force her back into the sand.
Thank you for the ask, doubly so if you actually read all of this haha <333

(Well, here goes nothing)
So, I know that for the last few weeks has been pure reblogs with maybe one ore two tags sticked on to them.
And that's simply because the final exams this year really took a lot of time and effort from me, so I basically just put a whole bunch of stuff into the que whenever I was scrolling through here, and that was honestly just when I was taking a break from studying or freaking out about not studying enough so there's that.
But I didn't want to start ranting about the stress I have to get my Abi, Instead I wanted to tell you guys about something that I had planned for a longer time now.
Now, first of all I have to say that I have adored theme parks for my whole life. I went on Rollercoasters and theme rides since I was in first grade, which now ended with me becoming the most Adrenaline needing freak and scenery appreciating freak whenever I get to go Into one.
(Seriously, If you're someone who gets easily scared of rollercoaster or other thrill rides you would not have a good time with me in a theme park, I lose all regard for my Life whenever I see a steel monstrosity of death in front of me)
Because of this, I also had a bunch of park simulator Videogames, that I played alot of, especially Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. But even though half of my parks in that game looked great, and the other half were hell traps designed to torture my guests, there were still many limitations in that game so I could never build the park I really wanted to see.
And then I found Planet Coaster.
Planet Coaster is another theme park simulator and the freedom this game gives you is actually absurd. A giant variety of scenery, coasters, buildings and what not which you can arrange in almost any way you want.
And now we can get to my plan.
Now you know I love theme parks, I love Videogames, so I need to make a Videogame theme park. But because of the Limitations in RCT 3 that was never really possible for me.
But with this game? I saw what some other people did with it and everything I wanted is now possible.
Problem is, I couldn't decide for the Life of me for what kind of game I wanted to build this park. Professor Layton, Kirby or splatoon where some of my first thoughts, but then I had Ideas for even more games I also love, like Luigis Mansion, Metroid or Hollow Knight.
So, what was my decision in the end?
Well, since this blog is already a mess of different fandoms, I'm not gonna make different parks for each game, but one park for every game, with each part of the park being for a different game I'm a fan of.
With Summer break now coming up and all exams written, I have more than enough time to start building on this little passion project of mine.
I will try giving daily main updates, where I recap everything I got done that day, but of course I'm also blogging throughout the day while I work on the Park.
(Well, my day at least. It's probably going to be night then for the most of you)
So that was alot of text, and If you actually got to read till the end, thank you, have a cookie 🍪
Let's hope that I can successfully turn this blank field into my fandom paradise.
Tumblr media
(Also, If you find any grammatical or spelled errors in there, I'm sorry but I'm not checking all that a second time)

A Few Games I 100% Completed but Haven't Mentioned Because I Did Them Long Ago
My recent blog posts have been about recent games I 100% completed but they're not the only games I've 100%ed.
Video games have been a big part of my life and I've been playing games since single digits. That's right, I've been a gamer my entire life. Starting with the Sega Genesis. That really ages me, doesn't it?
Admittedly, I only 100%ed one single game on Genesis and that was Disney's Pocahontas. There were a handful of games I had but couldn't invest too much time in because way back then I was a child attending school and homework.
Same story when I got an Nintendo 64. Exception was I didn't 100% any game on that console. However, I did manage to complete a few games on Nintendo's GameCube years later.
By that time I managed to get into double digits so back then I was still a child but was close to the 'edgy' phase everyone in the 2000s went through.
The games I definitely remember 100%ing were Star Fox Adventures, Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, Avatar the Last Airbender, Catwoman, Pikmin 1 and 2, and Geist. It may seem like a short list but that was long for preteen me. Especially considering majority of games I played were rented from Blockbuster. If you don't know what Blockbuster was, just know I'm from ancient times before the internet.
Anyhow, years later I had short lived experience with PS2 and somehow got XBox360 and PS3. Honestly, the 360 was a horrible console that destroyed itself more often that a sea cucumber. What games I managed to play on it were also available on PS3 at later time so I personally think 360 was a massive waste of money and would avoid if I was able to restart my life.
But it did give me some fun games to complete. Rare's final good game, Kameo Elements of Power, was particularly great. Fable 2 and 3 were simple and easy. I don't think it's physically possible to not complete a Fable game when it's played. And... ah, Crackdown was the only other one I 100%ed... That was... a game... yes it was...
Sadly, I do not remember 100%ing more games after that, yes even on the PS3 which I still held onto the games for.
I was incredibly busy with high school life at that time so investing an hour or so for a grind was not appealing in the slightest. Although, I do believe the majority of trophies (a new concept Sony/Microsoft came up with) being dependent on online multiplayer left a rather sour taste.
Then came a long period of not playing games as often due to having a job and college and another job to tend to. I did get a PS4 and still played what I could. Thankfully, the spark of dopamine still kicked in whenever I played so it was still something I looked forward to.
I also had a Steam account and played Team Fortress 2 a lot. Valve's most popular hat trading simulator was the only multiplayer game I ever played and enjoyed! Quite a few hundred hours went into that game. I would go back to play it if it wasn't for the forsaken bot infestation plaguing the servers.
Oh that reminds me of the first Steam game I 100%ed, Whispering Willows! It was a simple indie game I decided to play for Halloween season. Actually, it was the atmosphere and little secrets you could find that unlocked achievements that kept me going for the completion. After that, I hit up Tell Tale's Guardians of the Galaxy and 100%ed that easily. Tell Tale has the same issue the Fable franchise has.
However, I never had that sudden click of wanting to 100% all games until I played Insomniac's Spiderman on PS4. The game was spectacular with the placements for collectables and incorporating them into the game's setting. Looking at the trophies on my Playstation Profile, I had a sudden thought of finishing as much of my game library as I could so I can have as many platinum trophies as I can.
Before my PS3 fried and deleted my files on the drive, I managed to get the platinum for all Sly Cooper and Infamous games. I also platinum Second Son on PS4. I may have to restart those games if I can't save my old PS3. Don't know what I'm going to do if I can't save it. Maybe be forced to buy a refurbished one or be doomed to PSN Premium 'service' ugh, hopefully won't come to that.
Remaining platinum trophies I earned on PS4 were from MediEvil, Spyro Reignighted trilogy (with the exception of Spyro 2), and Subnautica. That list is as long as my 360 one but I'm still working on it.
I'm also working on 100%ing Nintendo and Steam games. While there's no official reward for 100%ing Nintendo games, I'm still completing them because they're fun. Sometimes you don't need a trophy or ribbon to say you 100% completed a game... it would be nice but it's not needed.
The games I completed on Nintendo Switch were Luigi's Mansion 3, Island Savers (a free kid's game that looked simple and fun to me), and Fenyx Rising... Yeah, Fenyx is available on other consoles but it feels at home on Switch.
Meanwhile on Steam I worked on and completed Helltaker, Force Unleashed, Overlord Raising Hell and Overlord 2, and Alice Madness Returns... while there's no achievements or blue ribbon for those EA games, I still wanted to complete them and never touch another EA game for as long as I can.
So, including the recent blog posts I made about recent games I've completed, I have a sum total of 21 modern titles. For PS3/360 games I managed 10 completed games. GameCube had 8 and the only other completed game was on Sega Genesis. Giving me a total of 40 complete games throughout my life. I plan on making that number higher. But I don't know if I'll stick with making blog posts about them. Sure it's easy but it doesn't feel as enjoyable or fun as gaming is. I don't know... I'll probably be stuck on here until I figure something out.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie
I did it. Almost three-and-a-half months after it was first released in theaters, I was able to see the newest Mario movie. Since I didn't get to see it in theaters, I was initially going to wait until it came out on streaming services at no extra charge, but thankfully, I was able to rent it on Amazon for only $5.99. Perhaps I'll start renting movies online more often, as long as I have money.
I definitely had fun watching the movie, with some moments making me laugh. The content warning stated that there would be "foul language", but like other movies made by Illumination, there were no strong curse words. There was one moment where I heard the word "hell" used, but that was it. Chris Pratt seemed an odd choice as the new voice of Mario, but I didn't mind his performance, actually. I honestly would've watched this movie, regardless of who voiced Mario. Except for the moments where he sang, I would not have been able to tell that Bowser was voiced by the same actor who voiced Po from Kung Fu Panda. The graphics looked amazing, no doubt about that.
I felt bad that Mario was regarded as a joke in the beginning of the movie. Sure, running your own business after quitting a previous job isn't easy, but Mario and his brother Luigi deserved a shot at it. I liked how on the way to their first client, Mario, the shorter and more athletic one, accommodated Luigi, the taller and more cowardly one. It was too bad that their first client's dog ruined things for them. Even the brothers' dad was unsupportive of them. I thought it was interesting that Mario hated mushrooms. I could not imagine how unpleasant it must've been for him to eat the power-ups. Admittedly, I don't typically play video games, but I was already vaguely familiar with the Mario franchise. I'm guessing that the scene where Luigi entered the abandoned mansion was a reference to the game Luigi's Mansion. Seeing how Bowser kept Luigi prisoner, I don't understand why a lot of fans shipped them. Bowser is an evil king who wants to take over other kingdoms and marry the princess of one of them! And even if Bowser was romantically interested in Luigi, instead, he would almost certainly abuse the plumber. I liked that Donkey Kong was a rival to Mario, instead of the main antagonist, and even teamed up with the plumber. I did not expect that the battle would move to Brooklyn, where Mario and Luigi came from, but it was epic nonetheless! It was great to see Mario overcome his insecurity about feeling small and Luigi show courage by helping him fend off Bowser. I was glad to see the brothers finally earning respect from their father, former boss, and the rest of the town. A fitting punishment it was for Bowser to be shrunk down enough to fit in a small jar. When he sung for the second time in the movie, it almost seemed that he escaped, but thankfully, he was still shrunken and in captivity. I think there is potential for a sequel, but who knows?

My YCCTEAM'S Wireless Switch Pro Controller - Part 10 (Playtime through Super Mario 3D All-Stars game in Super Mario 64 #1)
Hi guys! Miss me of doing my continue YCCTEAM Controller topic reviewing? After using my controller of testing its buttons, batteries results, and doing gyro/motion controls in check, I decided to bring this for my YCCTEAM Controller topic to finished and give the results for how good was my controller is....almost. For my next one that I said from my April 22nd post, I've recording a video of using my controller during playtime with one of my games I choose. This video I did was back in April 18th; before 5 days later til showing my controller's gyro and motion through 👻Luigi's Mansion 3. Link Here
However though, I actually did 3 or 4 recording clips during the same day and I wanted to merge all 4 to make one video during this month of May 2021; instead of doing one at the time in clips. I can thank for my PicsArt app on my iPad Mini 2 to help me doing video edits and it really works! *thumbs up*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those screenshots I took back in May 20th, by the way. ⬆️
However, it seems that I can't remove its tradmark on the right side bottom of the recording video. I'm sorry if I'll just leave it like that cause I don't have some money into my Apple account to purchased the PicsArts membership to help me remove its tradmark. At least knowing its small enough to not bother during this video of me playing games with my YCCTEAM Controller I've recorded. Nevertheless, let's get into my next topic part about using my pro switch controller through playtime I've been saving since April 18th. What better ways to show me playing with my controller with a game that I got from last year of Decemeber 2020 as my late Christmas gift: 🌟Super Mario 3D All-Stars! I've waiting for months to ever get started of my new progress through one of three gaming collection at first look. Just hoping that my buddy 🐰🖌Maxwell and his siblings will be ready to bring their reactions; mostly with Maxwell cause he's a big Mario fan and he'll be looking forward of me having fun with this game's progress I'll be bringing soon. Enough talking, let's-a-go for my latest topic part for today!
By the way, the original video's file size number was much larger so I use other video converter sites to turn down the file size smaller; that way I can uploaded through my tumblr blog just as easy.
0:00 to 0:37
Since now this recording video was actually the merge one with different shots I edited by using my PicsArt app, I'll begin saying the first one I did with my pro switch controller is doing Mario's moves through Super Mario 64. You know from my childhood that I happened to play the original Super Mario 64 since childhood. I remember when using my old N64 controller to play as Mario; jumping, running, and walking was a alright experience to begin my journey exercise to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. Now years later that I got the 3D All-Stars collection version, I'm using my YCCTEAM Controller to get into Super Mario 64 once again. I still got it remember for the controls after learning from my original N64 game years ago, so here I am doing this to test my modern controller at hands. It looks good for starters when I use the left analog stick to move Mario and pressing the A button to perform jumping. I even do altogether while running and pressing the A button to perform a triple jump move.
0:37 to 0:53
Onto the next clip that I edited was pressing the Y button to perform his punching attack; like if I would be using it more often then doing jumping on enemies. At least knowing I've using it for the first boss battle which I'll get to that on my next video next month, by the way. I did five or more times of him throwing punches and the respond works fine. *thumbs up*
0:53 to 1:05
I quickly get into another part by performing Mario's ground pound move attack. I pressed the A button and ZR button while mid air. Just like my previous ones that it can do well when you gonna use for enemies/bosses and doing switching puzzles.
1:06 to 1:52
Finally now we're getting into the last part I've gotten of doing more of Mario's moveset I recorded. First was the jump kick attack after pressing the jump button then pressing X or Y button to kick in midair. Not bad, but barely if using it during my journey to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser sometimes. After that, I'm now doing the running long jump by moving the left analog stick to make Mario run faster a bit. Meanwhile pressing the Y button at the exact time can perform his long jump that I can feel the vibration on my YCCTEAM Controller; which is unexpected to say at least. I should've turned off the controller's vibration off during my recording, though....Just in case if It'll be little annoying when trying to have my gameplay through Super Mario game. Just saying, though. Anyways, I'm doing one more thing before ending this video and give some results about using my YCCTEAM Controller during playtime at first try. This is for the camera adjustment part as I use the right analog stick to move the camera; which Lakitu holding. It's little bit slow though when I'm trying to move the right analog stick quickly, but it was okay when using it for looking things; except looking into Mario's face cause reasons.
Looks like that's all I can bring you in this recording video of how far using my YCCTEAM Controller for Super Mario 64. Just wishing I could bring more of Mario's moves I haven't gone through it yet; such as crouching and doing backwards jumping. I did happened to perform those while not recording, but let's just say they're works fine as well; even could be useful during this game's progress. 🙂👍🏼
My Thoughts:
To my latest topic post for my YCCTEAM Controller review, it was a good start of using it during my playtime with Super Mario 3D All-Stars game and to the controlling respond as well. Testing with Mario's moves of jumping, ground pound attack, and so on was like taking me back when I'm playing with my original N64 controller, except differently since the N64 Controller had one analog stick in the middle bottom in weird design choice honestly. Nevertheless, it was still a good start.
Now if you we're thinking this will be my last topic review post for my YCCTEAM Controller, but I have other recording videos that I'll love to share for next month. So yeah, I'm still continuing this topic til I decided to finished. That being said, I did have good fun testing my controller; especially using through my first gaming progress of Super Mario 3D All-Stars that I promised to share for my upcoming posts soon.
Let's see how my mains reaction after showing my latest topic post for my YCCTEAM Controller.
🐰🖌Maxwell: It was the amazing thing I ever saw! At least during the begin though. ^^* While I give you applause for trying out Super Mario 64 on Switch in this recording, I'll can also give you a thumbs up about this latest topic post for using your YCCTEAM Controller in new test through playtime a bit. 😉👍🏼With this, I'm sure it can work well for your other games like 👻Luigi's Mansion 3 and 👊Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Though you already have.
🐰👊💥May: Indeed. Still our A-Pal will bringing more video recordings for another day soon. So his YCCTEAM Controller topic will continue, but hoping not to long eventually.
🦊⚽️Sam: Yeah. Besides, we like to see if he'll continue his gaming progress through Super Mario 3D All-Stars to share on his posts soon. That and he'll be doing his next items through upcoming topic reviews.
🐰🖌Maxwell and 🐰👊💥May: Huh?
You heard me right, guys. After I'll be done with my YCCTEAM Controller topic soon, I'll get into the next one for my other items that my family give me through stores or brought me online just in case we're still staying in houses til the pandemic can be over. It happens from months ago, by the way.
🐰🖌Maxwell: Guess you'll be doing your busyness through your upcoming topics, huh? Well at least hoping you'll have plenty of time to take it easy and organize your writing. For now though, you'll should keep going on your YCCTEAM Controller topic to continue; we can wait.
Thanks, Maxwell. Also hoping I'll remember when I can sharing one on my Super Mario 3D All-Stars gaming progress in screenshot pics to my Tumblr blog soon; by any chances I'll get. That's all for now. Hope you'll guys will giving a like to my lastest YCCTEAM Controller topic review post. See ya! 🙂👋
