Hey! I study psychology 6h a week in my school and once we learned about dreams. There are three level of your consciousness. First one is when you are conscious of your thoughts, feelings etc., second is pre-consciousness, which are things you "forgot" but can remember again, and last is subconscious. That's where your suppressed feelings are. People "hide" only what could do harm to yourself, so there's the "bad stuff". While you are awake your brain or psyche builds "guards" (1/??)

to keep the “bad stuff” “away” in your subconsciousness. No one not even you have access to your subconsciousness. When you sleep you are not conscious, usually, you do not know what its going around you. When you wake up and I ask you what happend around the time you were asleep you would say you didn’t know bc obviously you had been sleeping. The subconsciousness is activated when we sleep tho. The “guards” are a bit “weaker” and some “bad stuff” comes up. (2/??)

This is not yet explaining how dreams work but I will come to it. Anyway, through your day you see, hear, feel, think about things and so on. Sigmund Freud says our dreams are always build with the information we gain from the day before we fall asleep. Since many theories Freud had were disproved, but Freud still got some things right idk how accurate this is but lets just believe it for now bc there is no alternative theory that would made more sense lol (3/??)

This means: Your dream had something to do with feelings, thoughts and stimuli you gained through the day. Whether it was a memory, a conscious conversation or a subconscious urge/desire. This could lead you to what your dreamt could have meant. But not quite. The “guards” are weak but still active. And anything your subconsciousness “lets out” into your dreams gets masked. Your desires and problems want to be realized by you but they are in disguise. (4 or 5th idk/??)

Which is the reason our dreams are so silly sometimes. Or scary. Or make no sense. Or are just wonderful. A bad or a wonderful dream do not mean what they make us feel. Things that are very important to us can literally appear very small in a dream. Meanings and facts get twisted bc of the disguise method the guards use. So you being scared or concerned could mean the absolute opposite in real life ! Maybe you love your mom and trust her and ofc she would never hurt you - (6/??)

Then why was the presented by a stranger woman ? Then why did you had those scary feelings? - Maybe you have a general fear of other people that are strange to you, social anxiety? Or metaphorically “humans are scary, but my loving mother is just a human, so is the just as scary?” - What if it just means you had problems, were concerned, when you were younger with strangers who are in your family(or not) but then they turned out to be “like your mother” ? Idk what to say about the toothbrush part to, there could be millions of ideas. The only person that could correctly interpreted your dream is you, because you know yourself the best! Just remember the rules, that things are not what they seem to be lol Sorry I cannot help probably, but please don’t be concerned ! Unless you are not in a problem right now. But if you are fine now its okay, because we ALL have “unsolved” things going on in our subconsciousness, its not worrisome. (last message)

okay here one more message, sorry for the spam, but if you felt like you needed to do something right after your dream it could hint on a certain urge or desire, but you need to find out what that is. I dont believe in fortunetelling by dreams, so I dont think anything bad will happen to you even if you dont act upon this urge lol Bc if its really something from your subconsciousness it will occur when it needs to, they don’t just disappear. waaaaah thank you so much for taking your time to explain this to me!!!! i totally agree that you cant generalize dream symbols because like you said no one can make sense of that except for myself… i feel like this dream thing also have everything to do with how i have been initiate a lot changes in my life recently and these changes arent necessarily things i can talk about freely (not like i cant i just dont know how to talk about that you know what i mean) and because of how i am as a person (i absolutely cant not stay still physically or mentally) i know im not thinking things through but conscious me dont really allow that????? you know how ideally you should double check and proof read before submitting things? but i just write what i think is right out, close the answer booklet and just move on to the next task 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

“Swswswswsws...” You hiss continuously as you point your flashlight into the darkness of the forestry ahead, turning your head to your neighbor after. “Ji, what’s your pet’s name again? It might respond if we called it by its name, you know. It’s been five minutes since we’ve been looking for it.”  

“P-Pet? I don’t—”Jisung briefly stops walking and squints his eyes at you, accidentally pointing his own phone’s flashlight to your face when you turn around to face him at immediately noticing his pause. You hold your free hand up to your face in instinctive response to his accidental action, wincing in pain of the bright light to which Jisung guiltily heaves a sigh at. That was close! “A-Ah, I mean!—L-Lee Know! His...yeah, the cat’s name is Lee Know!”      

You furrow your eyebrows and bring your hand down once Jisung apologizes and points his flashlight elsewhere, a confused frown settling on your lips. “Lee Know? You named him?” 

“Y-Yeah?” He raises his own eyebrows curiously, jogging up the remaining distance to you when you beckon for him to continue walking deeper into the forest with you. It’s time like these when the eco-friendly agenda our village has going on is such a hassle, Jisung groans internally to himself, Minho could be anywhere in this forest...that idiot. “Why’d you ask?” 

You shrug, flinching when a distant rustling faintly goes through your ears. When you point your flashlight towards its direction, however, you only see, much to your disappointment, a raccoon scurrying away. “It’s just—and don’t get offended!—Lee Know sounds a bit of a choice for a cat’s name.” You explain sheepishly, looking away in case he does get offended. “I actually thought Minho named him...given his generally weird tendencies. Maybe he got tired of naming pets cutely like Soonie, Doongie, and Dori or something so I thought, you know...”

Jisung snickers under his breath as you explain, frantically shaking his head and waving his hands when you surprisingly hear and ask him about it. Tell that to him when you see him, he so badly wants to tell you but he opts to quietly continue looking for his roommate instead, mirroring you and pointing his flashlight towards every inch of the path. 

“It’s that ridiculous, huh?” He jokes, to which your eyes widen at. When he peers over your shoulder and notices this, he immediately lets out a hearty laugh. “Don’t worry, it’s cool. I think it’s ridiculous for a cat too.” 

Your shoulders unintentionally relax at this and you muster up a laugh as well. “It sounds like a stage name.” 

“It’s swag, apparently.” 

After five more minutes of walking (and not much progress in finding clues as to where the cat went but misleading footprints of foxes and more raccoons), you stop right under the warning sign your village’s Homeowners Association, placed right before the forest’s restricted area. “Nothing.” You turn around on your surroundings twice before concluding against the stillness of the night and the distant cricketing, facing Jisung again with a disappointed expression. “We can’t go beyond the subdivision limits, Ji. I’m so sorry.” 

Jisung glances between you and the angry ‘No Trespassing’ sign in thought, biting his lip down as he ponders on what to do next. It’s either he risks having you see more than one supernatural creature tonight and drag you with him past village limits or he pretends to go back to the village with you then run all the way back to the other side of the forest and continue looking for his escaped roommate. Then why did I ask Y/N to help me look for Minho in the first place? Jisung asks himself as he scratches his head in the hopes that his last functioning braincell could make a quick decision. 

“Ji?” You elbow him gently when he takes too long to think. Only then does he notice that you’ve already taken a step back from the village limits, body twisted and facing the path back. “Let’s go back, maybe it’s better looking for Lee Know in the morning.” 

“A-Ah, but—” Jisung raises his free hand, as if reaching out to you and tugging you back. Before he could finish his thought, however, he sees a brilliant white light reflect back in your eyes and when he turns around, his eyes widen at colorful lanterns approaching from the trees. “Oh, shit...” 

“What the fuck is that?” You ask in a whisper, instinctively going back to Jisung’s side in fear. When the lanterns draw nearer, you start making out figures of raccoons, foxes, rabbits, and cats dancing on their hind legs. “What the hell?” 

Jisung slaps a hand up to his forehead and purses his lips, gritting his teeth hardly in frustration. Too late, he thinks to himself as he turns to you, eyes wide and mouth agape in bewilderment. “Y/N, listen to me—” 

But again, he’s cut off by a certain orange and white cat catching your attention, waving at you with its paws. “Hi, Y/N!” Minho waves at you casually in his cat form, his smile peeking out of the rainbow towel on his head. “We’re doing a conga line around the forest if you want to join!” 

“I...” You freeze, leaning back in confusion. “T-That’s...Lee Know?” 

“Um...” Jisung turns to you, meeting your unreadable expression. You look simultaneously shocked, horrified, and curious but with a small smile threatening to slip into your features. “I can explain!” 

“He sounds like—” 

“My roommate, Minho. Yeah, um...” Jisung scratches the nape of his neck again, instinctively stepping in front of your view to block the sight of dancing forest animals. “Listen, it’s not what it looks like! Minho, he’s...” 

“Jisung—I mean, wilder things have happened in college—” 

“Yeah but—” Jisung stops halfway, staring back at you as if you’ve grown a second head. “You’re not—you’re not freaked out?” 

“So you are admitting that your roommate is half-cat?” 

“He’s a bakeneko...” 

“Bakeneko, sure, okay.” You repeat, rolling your eyes. “As I was saying, you dragged me out here at 2 AM to look for ‘your cat,’ knowing there’s a slight risk of me finding out who the cat actually is, then you react like this when it does happen? I’m surprised, of course, but you really should’ve thought about that.” 

A part of Jisung heaves a sigh of relief but another part of him panics even further which is only amplified with the music growing louder behind him as more animals pass by. “Yeah, well, I did thought about that but I really needed help looking for Minho because he left without a note and I didn’t expect that he’d be out here partying tonight!” 

This time, it’s you slapping a hand to your face. “Jesus Christ, and here I thought you guys were at least sharing one braincell.” You sigh, to which Jisung immediately protests at. You ignore, him, however, and gesture for the growing line of dancing animals. “So, should we stop him? But, then, it looks like it’s enjoying itself! “But it looks like it’s enjoying itself!—I mean, Minho! Minho looks like he’s enjoying himself.” 

Jisung opens his mouth to speak but, for the second time tonight, he’s accidentally cut off again by Minho, this time by said roommate suddenly materializing on his shoulders. “Are here to pick me up?” Minho asks him, the way his normal human voice comes out of his cat form momentarily surprising you from the corner of his eyes and catching his attention. “Oh, hi, Y/N! Sorry, I didn’t mean for you to see me like this! Ya, Han Jisung, why did you bring Y/N along?” 

“Because you just left the house without telling me where you’re going, dumbass! How would I know if you weren’t suddenly kidnapped or something!” Jisung complains in response, flicking Minho’s forehead. “And get off my shoulder, fatass, you’re so heavy. Have you been eating spirits food again?” 

You clear your throat awkwardly, waving at the two boys before they could engage in a full-on argument. “Yeah, I’m still here, guys?” 

Minho and Jisung glance back at you then to each other, as if in contemplation. You raise an eyebrow nervously at this. 

“Hyung, is it okay that Y/N saw you?” Jisung asks Minho in a hushed whisper. 

“Do I really look fat tonight?” Minho frowns, to which Jisung groans at. 

“Dude, come on, I’m asking you a matter of your security and you ask me if you’re looking fat.” 

“Because Y/N saw me!” 

Jisung sighs. “Fine, then, yes you do...you look like a really really fat cat tonight.” He answers reluctantly, to which Minho pouts even deeper at. “It must be those brownies that other cat, Felix, is always baking at these parties.” 

Minho then immediately hops off of Jisung, walking over to you and encircling your ankles once. “Alright, then, I guess, Y/N, you should see me like this on another time, when I’m looking cuter! You’ll have to forget everything you saw tonight, okay? I can’t have my crush seeing me as a fat cat!” 

“W-What?” You try stepping away from Minho’s circling movements but before you could even get a foot out, you already start feeling lightheaded until your vision’s fully clouded in nothing but white. 

“See you tomorrow, Y/N!” Minho’s voice echoes in your ears before you.

Jisung is waiting for you by the fences separating your houses the next day, a seemingly rehearsed smile on his face. From what you can hazily remember of last night (which is oddly few, you’ve noticed), you last saw him banging his head against the pillars of his host family’s front porch at dinner time because the Internet connection at his place won’t let him pass his homework. 

“Good morning, Ji?” You greet him as you water the plants in your front garden, unintentionally coming off as questioning. “You look...happy. Did you get to pass that homework of yours?” 

The boy nods happily as he organizes the recyclables he’s supposed to take out. “Yep, passed it on time.” 

You nod, opening your mouth to speak only to be interrupted by an orange and white cat emerging from your garden’s potted sunflowers. “Oh, hi!” You greet the cat, instinctively crouching down to scratch its ears to which he purrs positively to. You don’t catch it but Jisung heaves a sigh of relief when you don’t seem to recognize Minho or have any recollection of last night. “And who are you supposed to be, hm? You’re so adorable!” 

From the corner of your eyes, Jisung frowns at Minho before shaking his head and answering you, “O-Oh, that’s—Lee Know, the new house cat! My host family brought him in just—just last night.” 

“Just last night?” You ask, briefly looking up at Jisung and catching his frown turning into a sheepish smile. You try catching his reaction to your question but the cat brings a paw up to your hand and regains your attention again. “Didn’t they come home at like 4 PM yesterday, though? I even greeted Mr. and Mrs. Lee and I don’t remember seeing them with this cat.”     

Shit, Jisung curses himself, glaring at Minho again who only sticks his tongue out discreetly at him, I was doing so well! “W-Well, Mr. Lee went out at around 9 PM, I think, when you were already inside, then he came back with the cat. It’s a stray, basically.” 

You nod at this, smiling at the cat again. “Aren’t you too cute to be a stray cat, though?” You coo, making Minho smile and nuzzle his whiskers more into your hands. “And you remind me a lot of Ji’s roommate, Minho, too. Have you met him? He’s a bit of a weirdo but he’s...cute too, I guess.” 

Minho so badly wants to open his mouth and protest halfway when you called him a weirdo but he puts up the facade anyway and goes around you once again. He’ll have to bring it up to you next time, when he’s human. 

“Look, Ji, he likes me!” You point out excitedly to which Jisung only musters up a small smile. You then pet the cat’s head once more before standing up to continue watering your plants. “Speaking of, Minho’s okay with this? And Soonie, Doongie, Dori?” 

“Yep.” Jisung reluctantly nods, kicking Minho gently with his foot when he comes back to his side of the fence. “Very much so.”

They had been known as the couple that had stayed together through thick and thin, and by the time they were 22 had owned an apartment together. Yet, (Y/n) could feel her boyfriend slowly growing distance, losing interest in the spark that (Y/n) hoped to remain.

a/n: hi everyone- yeah, i’m inconsistent, I didn't really have a plan for this account and I’m sorry, but I have a lot of ideas to write about so I’m hoping to get through them! I don’t really like the ending but- ehhhh- Its another angst, oops- anyways, enjoy!

A camera was focused on thousands of blossoms adorning branches upon the large sakura tree’s, picking up on the blooming flowers embellished in soft pinks and angelic whites. Light seeped through the crevasses between the petals, cascading down to the earth and warming small patches of grass. A petal blew stray from a sakura tree and the camera lifted to a (h/c) woman, who flashed a small peace sign to the lens. Her bright face soon gawked at a comment that was unheard to the camera, both her and the camera whipping to face a raven haired male who lay on his back, arms crossed behind his head to act as a cushion, a cheshire smile on his face.

“Tetsu, that is not a croissant! Its totally a duck!” (Y/n)’s laugh bubbled, camera moving from her boyfriend to zoom in on the cloud that had a small resemblance of a duckling. The camera fumbled a moment before it was placed down a few feet away from the couple, the distance enough to both capture the couple on screen, and have an easy access to hear them. (Y/n) went back to laying on her stomach, delicately weaving her fingers through the blades of grass as she looked at her boyfriend, earthy green strands gently caressing her soft palms. Kuroo chuckled deeply and shook his head, his hand reaching up to point at the cloud that was out of frame. His voice soon rose and could be heard distinctly.

“No way, kitten. That has to be a croissant, you’re just caught up on cute animals.” (Y/n) laughed, gently bumping his hand with hers as she rolled on her side to face him. She brought her hand up again and gently poked Kuroo’s stomach, giggling to herself as she teased, “Maybe you’re seeing a croissant because you’re always so hungry!”

The camera focused on the two as Kuroo grabbed (Y/n)’s wrist and flipped her over, tickling her sides with his calloused fingers.

It soon cut off to the sounds of (Y/n)’s squeals and Kuroo’s mischievous cackles.

You smiled bittersweetly at the camera’s display screen, thumb brushing over the weathered buttons, specifically the one that would allow you to re-watch the adorable video for probably the thousandth time. You had been going through the camera’s hundreds of photos and videos for the past few hours, the sweet feeling of nostalgia coursing through your body when you first picked up the camera, and you couldn't ignore the urge to reminisce of you and your boyfriends earlier memories. If you were to be honest with yourself, you and your boyfriend hadn't been as connected as you had been back then. You hated to admit it, but you felt as if there was a gap between you and your boyfriend, one that grew with each passing day.

Despite that, you clung on to the idea that this was just another one of those things that will come and go in a relationship. You had hoped that you and your boyfriend could dive back into the past with one another, but he had left you alone in your living room, rather wanting to be in your shared bedroom. You shook off the sinking feeling that bubbled in your stomach as soon as you heard the soft padded steps walking in down the hall, butterflies soaring in your stomach at the sight of your boyfriend looking so nice.

He wore a deep blue button up shirt that neatly tucked into the waist of his black plants. A sleek black belt supported them, with the added sleek black shoes. He fumbled with the collar of his button-up for a moment, stopping to grab the dark brown jacket that hung on the wall. He began to slide his arms through the sleeves, your heart rate rising like it did when he first asked you out at the beginning of your third year. You cleared your throat, fingers raking into the plush cushion of your couch as you clumsily fumbled with your words. 

“T-tetsu... you look really nice... um, are we going somewhere...?” You asked, false hope building up until it passes you. He had been cancelling dates for months, up to the point where it was a rare occasion. He had blamed his work schedule and a lack of sleep, or even saying he was just not in the mood, but you held a high ground and supported him endlessly. Your boyfriend jumped at your voice, as if he hadn't even noticed your presence when he first entered the room. He flashed his signature apologetic smile as he tugged on his jacket to flatten it out, talking as he brushed his fingers against the rough fabric of the jacket.

“Sorry baby, not tonight. Kenma called, said he, Bokuto, Tsuki and some other high school pals are all preparing to send Tsuki off for college, wanted to throw one last bro’s night before he leaves us for good, ya know?” Your heart dropped at his words, a lump forming in your throat. You forced all negative feelings down and instead nodded, putting up a cheerful front to hide the bitter feelings that bubbled within.

“Really...? Oh, well, have fun! Please tell them that I miss them and said hi, okay?” You requested, not surprised as you were easily able to mask your disappointment with your fake bubbly attitude. He only hummed in response, a part of you feeling like he hadn't even tried to register your words as he slipped his keys, phone and wallet into his pocket. You stood from your cozy seat on the couch to embrace him in a hug, expecting his strong embrace to enclose you and tighten all those loose feelings, though the hope shattered as gave a mere head-pat. Looking up to him, you smiled warmly. “Text me when you get there, ‘kay? It's late out!” You forced a laugh, him sharing a short laugh in return. He looked so uncomfortable, as if you had done something wrong. Your arms seemed to go slack at that.

“Yeah, maybe...” Kuroo brushed you to the side, not noticing the broken look that crossed your features as he walked away. Hoping to get some kind of positive reaction out of him, your further wrapped yourself in his hoodie and waved to him. “Bye, I love you!” You called, but the only response you got in return was the click of the door that shut behind Kuroo.

Standing alone in the living room felt much more different than it had all of the other times Kuroo had been gone. The apartment that once buzzed with a comfortable atmosphere and security felt cold, unfamiliar. 

You don’t know when you ended up back on the couch, but you were there. You were sunken deep into the tanned soft cushions, head up against the armrest as you stared off at the TV blankly. You had turned it on for a distraction, but the sound was drowned out by the overbearing thoughts that plagued your mind. You only sunk further into the warm embrace of the large blanket you wrapped around yourself, hand snaking out from under the blanket to grab your phone. Turning it on, your eyes landed on the happy faces of you and Kuroo goofily smearing paint on each others faces, you having been in the middle of taking a selfie when he came up from behind you and smeared a large stroke of red on your cheek, to which you dragged a brush of blue across his nose. You smiled bitterly at the memory, unlocking your phone and dialing Kuroo’s number. When he didnt answer you let out a puff of air, opting for the more responsible of the two and searching for Kenma’s contact.While you would feel guilty for calling him so late at night, he was with Kuroo and the rest of the boys, they must have been keeping him awake somehow. 

It only took two rings before the boy answered, his voice as quiet and tired as ever, most likely from the long nights of editing and gaming for his youtube channel.

“Hello...?” Kenma’s voice rang, earning a small chuckle from you. You leaned back into your blankets and turned down the volume of the TV, sitting cross-legged to be more comfortable.

“Hi Kenma, how’s it going?” You thought it was best to stray away from Kuroo for a second, happy to talk to a friend after so long of being inside. You chuckled at the light groan of response he gave, he had been a lot more open with you rather than hiding in his shell.

“Hey (Y/n)... it’s fine, I’m editing the video thats supposed to go up tomorrow... why are you calling so late...? It’s nearly 12.” His voice came, and you hummed in surprise. “I was calling because Kuroo never texted me when he got to your house... its admirable you’re able to edit during a party, but you should get off your computer and spend time with friends! Isn’t Hinata there?” You questioned, absentmindedly tracing circles into the armrest. A disgruntled noise came from the other end, a mixture of confusion and dissatisfaction, most likely at your words of ‘get off your computer’. Nevertheless, his groggy voice traveled through with a response.

“What do you mean? What party?” Now you had been confused, a small ‘wha-’ whispered from you before answering with a nervous chuckle. “Tetsu said you and some friends from high school were taking a night to celebrate Tsuki getting into college... that is what's happening, right...?” Your mouth felt oddly dry as a sinking feeling slowly welled up in your chest, awaiting Kenma’s response that felt as if you were waiting years for the words to fall from his mouth.

“...(Y/n), there wasn't a party tonight... Tsukishima had his party a few weeks ago... wh-” You didnt hear the rest of his words as a drilling sound of ringing pounded in your ears, and your heart rate increased. Immediately you had an idea of what was going on, and all hope that was inside of you shattered into unfixable pieces.

“...n)...(Y/n)...!” Kenma’s voice startled you back to reality, never having heard his voice raised, even if it was just barely. You breathed in and sighed, a few tears rolling down your cheeks. You hadn't known, but Kenma's blood was boiling in spite for his childhood friend, never having expected this side from him. “Sorry, Kenma... I have to go now! I’ll call you later, okay? Please drink some water and take care of yourself!” You laughed, and Kenma cringed because of how broken it was. You sounded so uneasy and it pained him, but he allowed you to leave it at that, knowing you would call him the next day. If not, then he would call you.

Your phone slid from the palm of your hand, landing atop the couch with a quiet thud. There was a loud ringing in your ears, loud enough to deafen the light hum of the television, and loud enough to stop you from hearing how shallow your breaths were becoming. You had fallen out of this shattered state at the sound of keys rattling on the doorknob, finding yourself naturally collecting all signs of unhappiness and hiding them away. You listened as Kuroo whistled to himself, slowly getting closer. When he saw you, still on the couch, wrapped in one of his old sweatshirts and a large blanket, he seemed surprised. He quickly covered it up with his signature smirk and began to take off his jacket. 

“Hey, baby.” He greeted, quickly walking passed you and over to the closet ti hang his jacket back up. You hummed to him in response, taking a moment to think to yourself before sighing. “Tetsu... can we talk?” 

Kuroo seemed to almost be bothered by the question, taking a white coat hanger and sliding it inside of his jacket while sighing heavily. “Can you save it for tomorrow? The party has me beat.” You bit your lip to his dismissive response, choosing to stare down at your bunny slippers instead. You took in a small inhale, and ever so gently did you say

“We should break up.”

Kuroo dropped both his jacket and the coat hanger, the items falling to the floor. The plastic coat hanger sprung from the inside of the jacket and clattered to the ground. His head slowly turned to you, attempting to clear the lump in his throat by clearing it. 

“Wait, baby- why-- why so sudden? What happened? I thought we were doing great, you know-” He stumbled on his words, though you interrupted him before he could continue.

“...Kuroo, we haven't been “great” for a long time and you know it.” Your voice was so quiet you thought he couldn't hear, attempting to hide the pain in your voice as tears welled in your eyes. You hopes he would understand yet he let on, stepping towards you until he was in front of you, his heart aching at the pain in your voice and the way you no longer called him by his first name. His last name seemed to be so bitter on your tongue, it wasn't like when you first met.

“Baby-”

“Don’t- Kuroo, please... please dont call me that. Not when...” You looked up at him, nearly sobbing at the sight of smeared lipstick he failed to take off, and a poorly hidden hickey on his collarbone. His dress shirt was wrinkled and his hair was disheveled, worse than it should be. It was obvious what had happened.

“Don’t call me that when I know you're calling her the same things.” You quickly finished through gritted teeth. His hands that had reached out to you slowly returned to his sides. 

Kuroo couldn't stand to watch you break in front of him, because of him.

“Ah... well, it’s okay...”

“What?” You laughed bitterly, Kuroo bewildered at your words. You should be angered- no, infuriated with what he's done, and you're saying that its okay?

Your hand went up and gently brushed at the smudged lipstick, painfully smiling as you heaved through broken sobs. “I said it’s okay. I bet that she's really, really pretty. Prettier than I could have ever been- and funnier, and nicer and just... she must be perfect, Kuroo. But, you...” You laughed in attempt to hide the sobs that wracked your body, your soft fingers trembling with the rest of your body. Kuroo wanted to say something in protest, but no words came out.

Because you were wrong, and he was wrong, but he didnt know how to admit it.

“...you- you should've said something earlier! We were falling out of love, for so long!-” He nearly broke at how torn you were, at how truthful and painful your words were. He could barely stand to look into your eyes. The delicate hand that previously cupped his face fell to your lap and you sighed, hugging yourself. You felt like your throat was burning.

“I’m sorry for being something you didn’t want, for not making you happy enough.” You clenched your fists so tight that the white of your knuckles was showing. Kuroo wanted nothing more than to tell you of how wrong you were, but...

How could he? How could he tell you you were wrong when he was willingly going to someone different... he-

He doesn't understand himself anymore.

“Thank you, though. For everything. I’m... I’m gonna go pack up, okay? And I’m gonna go... I’ll take my car somewhere else.” You stood up, unable to bear the pain much longer. You could not break down any further, not in front of him. Before you could make it to your room, you heard Kuroo mumble something that called you to a halt. You waited for him to say it again. “Why aren't you.... why aren't you screaming at me? I-I deserve to be screamed at so why aren't you-”

“I love you, Kuroo. I still do. I can't...” You furiously wiped at your face, not wanting to cry for him any longer.

“I can't stop loving you...” You mumbled. You walked off, Kuroo listening to the sound of your footsteps slowly disappear. He stayed glued to his spot on the couch, unable to say or do anything. It was when you had returned- when you were about to leave to go book a hotel or stay at a friends house, did he build up the courage to say something.

“(Y/n) I’m... I’m sorry.” You laughed at this, so bitterly, so broken.

“No you’re not.”

And like that, you were gone.

He should've felt relieved- he could be with this other girl, he could touch her and kiss her without feeling guilty, and he could be hers officially, no strings attached.

So why did it hurt so bad?

He knew why. And as he realized it, tears began to fall down his face.

Evil Douxie AU Ash Dispersal Pattern is something I Have Not been able to stop thinking about. Just, whoever the leader is, seeing this moping emo kid working in a cafe and being like “ah. New recruit.” Douxie gets dragged along to a meeting somehow (cough Archie gently bullies him into going cough) and he picks up the guitar. For the first little while he’s grouchy and adamantly refuses to be pleasant or even civil. After he meets the old lady, his jabs start to get more friendly and 1/2

teasing and the band notices and responds in turn, until you eventually get an exchange like this: “aw, you know you love us” “...” “YOU DIDNT DENY IT” “waIT NO SHUT UP” “YOU LOVE US” etc etc and just,,, this group of college kids forcibly adopting Douxie makes me soft. [ DISCLAIMER: This is... very very long. That’s all. ]

Ash Dispersal Pattern took a hard hit this year, losing their guitarist in a nasty fight after a gig. Because of that, they were forced to opt out from the Battle of the Bands. Of course then the end of the world happened three times, which also sucked.

But you know, life is too short so might as well say ‘screw it’ and find a new member right? The member that left can eat dirt for all they cared now. And so they put up flyers calling for auditions as a guitarist.

...no one shows up.

Okay so they gotta figure out a new plan. And what better place to do so than in a cafe? So here they are trying to figure out how to get a guitarist. Douxie shows up with their drinks and one of them goes “ayo what’s up!” only to receive a “tch” in response. They’re confused.

“Yo what’s his problem?”

“He’s probably having a rough day, maybe family issues?”

“I dunno man, but his hair looks sick as hell,”

And then it clicks to them. Maybe... him?

And now Douxie is surrounded by strangers that vaguely look around his age, well roughly give or take a few centuries, and he’s biting his tongue.

“I said no.” he replies firmly, backing away. He slings his jacket over his shoulder and eyes a stray black cat curled up nearby before heading on his way. Weirdos. A discussion immediately blows up among the members.

“Are you sure you wanna go with this guy? We’ve had our share of jerk guitarists,”

“Okay but can we talk about his hair? It’s so cool, I bet he has tattoos too,”

“Enough about the hair! Look this kid’s tryna play tough guy with us, but I think we can soften him up, it’ll just take some time.”

“Aight you’re the boss here, but if he screws us over, you’re taking responsibility,”

Archie overhears the conversation and smiles. These children seemed kind, and Douxie could use some normal friends. Nothing against the Arcadia gang, but they have more than enough on their plate and he can’t exactly force them to integrate the ex sorcerer into their friend group.

Douxie hates the idea. It’s stupid.

“You’ve already signed me up for two jobs and school. I don’t even need school! I have centuries worth of knowledge these mortals can’t even dream of knowing,”

“Yes, but we are trying to blend in, Douxie. And besides, I remember you used to play the lute. The guitar is quite similar I believe,”

“Arch I haven’t touched that instrument for god knows how long,”

“Have you forgotten how to play it then?”

Douxie goes quiet. Archie smiles. Well that makes his job much, much easier. He readjusts his glasses.

“I overheard their next meeting is this Thursday, and you’re going. Isn’t that convenient? You don’t work any shifts on that day. It’ll be good for you,”

“That’s what you say about everything!”

“Have I ever been wrong?”

Silence again. So Archie may have developed a talent for shutting up his familiar. He doesn’t really know if that’s a good thing, but it’s definitely frequent.

Thursday rolls in and Douxie shows up to rehearsal grudgingly. The members are surprised. He tells them not to get cozy; just wanted to try something new out. Luckily for him, the members had a backup guitar. The strings feel strange against his calloused hands but also familiar in a way. He strums a chord and a chorus of “ooooo”s fill the room.

“What? I’m competent,” he snaps. The leader raises her hand.

“Didn’t imply you weren’t.”

And so the first few weeks pass by without much conversation. Rehearsals weren’t so bad on the musical aspect; Douxie could play the guitar pretty effortlessly, much to their astonishment. They regularly complimented him even when he did things his own way rather than follow the sheet music. They rarely ever got a response though. Maybe a “hm” if they’re lucky.

Stage presence on the other hand... he was too stiff and lacked energy. Not to mention he constantly looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here. This was where the others started to get slightly ticked off.

“He’s sucking the life out of us dude, like we’re Ash Dispersal Pattern and he’s the freaking vacuum!” the drummer complained

“He doesn’t even sing with us! It’s supposed to be a group effort,” the bass player added.

“Yeah... honestly playing without a guitarist seems better than this,” the vocalist muttered quietly. Everyone looked at them and then the leader.

The leader pinches her nose. So that’s what they all thought huh? And as much as majority would usually win, this wasn’t what she wanted, to lose someone at such an early stage. What they’ve got going is not bad; it just could be better.

“Look, I get it, we’ve had a hard year and him being difficult doesn’t help us. But don’t you think he’s having it hard too? And we’ve all been there before. We’ve had our fights with parents, schools, society and he’s clearly going through it. Right now our best course of action is to just let it pass and let him approach us instead of coming on too strong.”

“Ah so that’s why we chose you as the leader,” the bass player jokes. The leader rolls her eyes.

“Can it, buttsnack.”

Miracles start occurring after the introduction of the little old lady. Douxie no longer keeps on a straight face. Rather, his eyes wonder curiously, mouth forming expressions that he’s not even conscious of. One day the drummer catches him... pouting. Now that’s an expression he didn’t think he’d get to see. 

“You okay there, Hisirdoux? Something get you down?”

“The stairs,” he jokes halfheartedly. 

He gets startled when he hears the drumsticks rattle against the floor. The drummer is running upstairs, yelling. And then he comes back dragging the leader who’s looking at him with concern.

“Yo Hisirdoux my dude, tell her what you told me!” 

“He asked me if something got me down. I said the stairs. Thought it was funny,” the guitarist shrugs. The leader snorts.

“That’s the best you can do?” she comments smiling. Douxie returns the smile much to her surprise.

“Of course not, but do you deserve my best?” The drummer’s jaw drops. Oh snap. The leader on the other hand is very pleased. This is what she’s looking for.

Suddenly Douxie’s phone rings. He picks up while the others listen curiously. His face breaks out into a huge grin. It’s the little old lady.

“Hello love, I’ll pick you up in ten minutes, sound good? Just finishing up rehearsal,” he says softly.

The drummer wiggled his eyebrows at the leader.

“Ooooo we got a lovebird in the band!”

Douxie chokes. 

“Are you okay Douxie?”

“Yeah, yeah, something came up but I’ll be there okay!” He ends the call promptly and shakes his head furiously.

“Aww Douxie’s such a cute name, why can’t we call you that?”

“FIRST OF ALL SHE IS NOT, ahem, she is not my girlfriend. That would be awkward because she is um, sixty to seventy years old,” 

He doesn’t tell them that technically he is 919. The leader meanwhile, looks pointedly at the drummer who is slowly shrinking in his spot. Whoops. Bad call. Douxie looks at the clock. 5:20 pm. He starts packing up, slinging the guitar backpack over his shoulder.

But before he leaves, he surprises them one more time.

“You guys can call me Douxie or Doux too, by the way. The name is growing on me.”

Rehearsals are so much better after that. Douxie’s smiling and talking to them, performing much more animatedly and giving it his all. He still kinda jabs at them, but there’s no tension behind it.

Nowadays he practices at home instead of waiting for rehearsal. It’s a little hard to fit time what with schoolwork and shifts, but he makes it happen. Archie stares at him fondly. This was the life that Douxie needed. One with a balance between honest work and fun.

One day, Douxie brings in some takeout from the bistro. A little celebratory gift because Ash Dispersal Pattern finally got a successful gig after so long. They open up all the boxes, set out plates, napkins flying all over the place. It’s loud, chaotic, a little dirty, but it doesn’t matter to Douxie because he’s with his friends.

Wait.

“Dang Doux, you didn’t have to do all this but you did anyways. I bet you love us. don’t you?” the vocalist teased.

Douxie remains quiet. Friends. As in, people he really cares about and looks forward to spending time with. People who he wouldn’t mind spending the rest of his life with. People who he --

“--LOVES US SHUT UP OH MY GOD!” the drummer yells, taking him back to reality. He looks at them with a smile and a shrug and suddenly he’s being attacked with hugs. They’re all screaming about how he’s always been soft and loved them from the start.

And then he’s crying. Everyone starts to panic and they’re scrambling off of him, asking him if he’s okay, if what they did was too much or anything like that. He shakes his head, trying to wipe his tears. It’s just... he’s never been held like this by so many people and for so long. He was so touch starved that he didn’t know what to do with this much love and appreciation. Quite frankly it’s been so long since it felt like he was truly wanted. 

He tells them it’s okay, really, he was just a little overwhelmed. But now the craving for their touch is so much stronger.

“Can you hold me again like that? Just for a bit? It was nice,” he asks timidly and they nod eagerly. Within ten minutes, they fall asleep in each other’s arms. Archie quietly pulls a blanket over them and sleeps on Douxie’s lap.

His work here is done.

HAHAHA, HOW WOULD KAI REACT?! KAI CHISAKI?! OVERHAUL. REACT TO THIS?!

My god; he would be enraged, completely surrounded by hatred and desire of execution of these two worms considered to be your biological parents.

Discussions between you two were normal; you are a couple, it happens; but even knowing that Kai would never lay a finger to hurt you, you couldn't help but squirm in terror and guard youself with your arms at the moment he raised his hands to only emphasize his point in the argument.

He immediately stopped talking as soon as he saw your scared look; sadly, he knew that expression way too well; and ended the argument right then and there.

Hearing your back story was enough for making his blood boil in a way it never had before but he maintained his composure for your sake.

Now, really, you only increased like, 100x more his hatred for heroes... Congrats.

"They're all sick. This hero syndrome has to be cured, look at what happens when we let those verms in the street... Absolutely disgusting."

Chisaki would become a little more affectionate after this just for ease your nerves. But when he is certain that you're at peace again...

That's when the real show begins...

The hero entered his home completely exausted due to his busy day at the agency as he took off his boots and called for his wife. When he heard no response he went in allert; knowing that she had taken a day off, she must had stayed in home.

He called once again checking every room in his big mansion. When he entered the living room he went rigid when he saw, not his wife, but a man in a green jacket holding one of his extremely expensive cups looking at the window.

Frightening and cold golden eyes; that seemed to pierce his soul; found them qs he finally spoke

"You're late." He spited the words before the hero felt something strongly hit the back of his neck, causing him to pass out immediately.

The man awakened feeling extremely sore as he heard his wife pleading for him to wake up. When he finally got back to reality, he noticed that both of them were chained tightly with their backs against each other.

"W-we were kidnapped dear...!" She whispered in fear "Use your quirk to get us out before the raptors come back, hurry!" She pleaded.

"Alright don't worry, we will be out of here in no time."

Suddenly, a bullet came out of no wear and hitted him straight on his chest, causing the woman to scream if her husband was okay.

"I wouldn't move around too much if I were in your shoes..." spoke a man covered in a plague mask and white hoodie aproaching the trembling couple, never once lowering down his gun.

The man winced in pain before trying to use his quirk to attack the shooter.

Sickes bitch

"W-what?" The man spoke in shook "W-what happened with my quirk?! What ylu did to me your fucker?!"

"Language." Spoke coldly the man before merciless shooting the woman's leg.

The female hero cried in pain letting out a few curses at the stranger.

"For two heroes, both of you are completely useless and disposable, aren't you?" A hushed voice spoke in the shadows of the cold building.

"What do you want from us, damn villain?" Struggled the man in the chains.

The young yakusa boss lifted himself from his place on the dark and slowly walked toward the frightened couple; looking at them with murderous, wide, psychotic eyes; following right after them two mans with also plague masks covering their faces.

Actually now that they notice, there was eight in total... all of them around.

"W-wait a second-!" Said the woman in realization "You're that young leader of Shie Hassaikai! That young yakusa group, his name is Overhaul!" Chisaki didn't seem to even listened the woman, opting to look down in nothing but disgust at the quivering man in front of him.

"Despicable, you and your wife are just disgusting... Not only carry in your veins the hero syndrome but also did something that I can't just let slide..."

"We didn't even once got into the yakusa young man, I swear on all of my career-!"

"Your words are simply equal to trash to me so don't even need to spend your breath." Interrupted the villain, extending his open hand at his side.

A black thing that was on the shoulder of a much taller man gave it to him what seemed like an really old newspaper. When the young leader grabbed, he immediately oppen it on one od the pages, reading out loud.

"'Today, unfortunately, we announce the loss of our beloved, quirkless yet respected only child (Y/N) ... While we were just enjoying the few but precious family moments together, a despicable villain attacked us and took her life during the combat. We, with pure grudge and thirsting for justice, have put the evil factor in behind the bars, but still it does not fill the void that our beloved deceased daughter left us ... rest and peace my sweet (Y/N), we will always have you in our hearts.'" Chisaki read all of what was written in pure rage.

"You two are quite the actors, to have to say that on a jornal." The man wearing a white hoodie spoke coldly.

"Actors?" Laughed nervously the woman "Our daughter died during a villain's fight long ago... She was quirkless, couldn't even protect herse-"

"I don't even need to use my quirk to identify your lies woman." Spoke the man on Overhaul's side "Those are beautiful words but clearly false."

"You really think we are that dUMB YOU PUNks?!" Screamed Mimic in offense.

"What will be your orders boss?" A blond with green shirt spoke in pure sadistic exciment.

Overhaul raised his hand, demanding silence with his gesture, as he messed in his jacket pocket before pulling out a small picture.

He abruptly shoved both of the old newspaper; which had the photo of the supposed deceased child; and a picture that he had took it of you.

"Don't you verms think that these two are a A BIT too similiar?!" He couldn't contain his wrath and shouted at both at them making both heroes flinch in fear.

"Abandoned by you both in a shelter just because they couldn't reach your expectations of being what you two are..." Spoke coldly Chrono aiming his gun close to the womans forehead.

Overhaul gave the paper back to Mimic and right after, saving the photo back in his pocket.

"Usually I don't like dirting my hands, but you two are a real special case..." he started to lower his gloves down.

"Wait a second, please!" Pleaded the man almost tearing up "H-How about a deal? Me and my wife can give you all of our money we earned as heroes! Think about about it!" The woman gave her husband a glare due to his offer.

Greddy woman... despicable. They didn't remind him any of you... thankfully.

"How much you're willing to gave us?" Spoke in interest Mimic.

"Anything really! Just let us go and don't mention about... her to anyone." Chisaki wanted to rip this man's head out of his body at the way your "father" mentioned you.

"Give them all of your credits cards and you passwords. Now." Demanded the quivering man at his wife who hesitantly showed where it was in her purse.

Chrono took all of them, right after giving Kai a silently sign that it was real and he got them right.

"Everyone, except Chrono and Mimic, get out of here and wait outside." Commanded Overhaul which everyman respind with an "yes sir."

Right after Nemoto closed the door, Mimic unchained the couple, but just as them got up to their feet, Kurono headlocked the woman as Chisaki punched the man with all his force, making him hit the floor.

"HON-" Chrono pressed the gun in the women's temple.

"Shut your mouth if you don't want your brain to explode it with this damn bullet."

Overhaul marched his way and grabbed the man's collar shirt staring at him what only could be described as a death glare.

"B-but our deal-!"

"Yo punk, we accepted the money but we didn't say anything about letting you go." Said Mimic checking all of the credit cards while holding a phone.

"You didn't really think I would let go that easy did you?" Groaned Chisaki "After everthing you and your project of a wife did to my angel..."

"Y-your what-" the man couldn't even complete his question when Chisaki merciless touched his forehead and overhauled him on the spot.

The woman screamed in terror. Trying to get out of her captor's hold.

"Don't worry I didn't forget about you... disgusting." Overhaul muttered as he rubbed his hand.

"MONSTER! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" the woman shouted not even caring about the gun glued to the side of her head anymore.

"You really are just as dumb as your husband here. I will bring him back, his punishment isn't over..." he looked at her with threatening eyes "Monster huh? Look at both of you, damn hypocrites... Listen closely." He approached the woman who trembles in fear and hate at the villain.

"For every moment of pain; physically and emotionally; for every single tear that escaped from my angel's eyes due to your actions... I will kill; torture even; you both and bring you back over and over again until I am deeply satisfied..." the woman started to sobbing in fear as she pleaded for forgiveness and beged for let them go.

"Isn't it glorius? Feeling completely vulnerable, useless and totally submissive at the power at someone else's hands? I am not the person who you should be begging for forgiveness, but I guess you let that chance slip years ago, didn't you? What a great mother..." he spoke in pure sadistic sarcasm.

In a quick move Chisaki comanded that Chrono let go of the woman, making her hit the cold ground. And just before her eyes could've had catch it, he touched her face with all of his hand and overhauled her.

"Despicable creatures..." mumbled Chisaki as he saw the mess on the ground. He made his way to your once father when Chrono called his attention holding his cellphone for Kai to see.

"It's (Y/N), she's asking how are you doing and if we will take too long to come back. What should I respond?"

"Hey Overhaul? Isn't tommorow or after the day when you meet her or something?"Asked Mimic pointed one of the many credit cards at his boss. Subconsciously giving the young villain an idea.

"Tell her is going to take a little more than we expected, my job here isn't totally complete... But tell that I have a surprise for her so just be patient." Chrono nodded as Mimic snickered.

"Getting lucky with your partner Overhaul?"

"Shut your mouth Mimic."

PART THREE PREGAME AMASAI

Saihara had been so distracted after everything that once his time was up, he almost forgot to get his game back from Akamatsu. He had watched Amami walked out of the aisle before he leaned back against the book shelf and closed his eyes. What the fuck just happened? Why would Amami even acknowledge him in that sense? Saihara took a moment to collect himself before he attempted to leave. He walked back towards his table and grabbed his bag before exiting the library.

Through everything, he felt like he was on cloud nine. He almost wanted to ask Akamatsu to slap him across the face just to make sure he wasn't dreaming. She would end up being way too happy about that request though.

Luckily he didn't have to go far. Akamatsu had been sitting outside of the door on the ground playing on his console.

"Oh, I d-didnt expect to see you h-here." Saihara figured he would have to go and hunt her down.

"Eh. Didn't want to go far. Too busy." She kept her sentences short, obviously in an intense part of the level.

"I appreciate it."

"I didn't do it for you. I just wanted to spend more time playing and less time fighting people off from talking to me. Fuck!" She growled at the screen and tilted her head back. "Fine. Take the stupid thing back. I'm gunna smash it if I keep trying it."

Saihara reached out and took the console without saying anything.

"You seem like you're in another dimension." She stated as she stood up and flattened out her skirt.

"Oh. Uhm. N-no." He couldn't just tell her what happened. She would not believe him and think he just had a wet dream during detention, resulting in her making fun of him even more. "I'm just, uh, ready t-to get home and get someth-thing to eat."

"Yeah." She didn't enjoying going back to her place either. Saihara never pryed too much into her personal life, but knew most nights she didn't go home until well after 11 or 12 when her parents were asleep. She would bounce between friends and hanging out just to pass time. He wondered where she would be going tonight.

They made their way outside, the sun in it's early stages of setting because of the changing season. Saihara didn't live too far from the school making it very easy to walk to and from. Akamatsu normally walked with him until they reached a stop sign at the end of the street before she would break off and head off on her own.

"I-ill see you tomorrow alright?" Saihara waved at her as she shoved headphones into her ears. She nodded at him and quickly turned on her heel.

Saihara dug his keys out of his pocket and made his way up his front porch steps to the door. Once he entered, he knew immediately that his uncle was probably at his office doing some work on a case and he would be alone to fend for himself. This would include making a small rice side or microwave dinner and enjoying some YouTube theories that people had over the last season and predictions for the new season of Danganronpa, right after a shower of course. He could not stay in his clothes for much longer.

He knew he should probably eat better but microwaved food was so much quicker than actually putting in effort to cook. Finally cleaned and cuddled up in his pajamas, Saihara sat down on the couch facing the television in the living room. He plugged up his laptop to the HDMI cord and displayed his YouTube page on the screen.

He thought about shooting a text to Ouma and seeing how he was doing. After seeing him with Amami, he wondered if he could get any info or reasoning why. Did Ouma know what Amami had done? If they were together, would he be mad at him for doing that to Saihara? Did Amami tell Ouma he was spying? He didn't want to make anything worse for Ouma that's for sure but he had so many questions that were overwhelming him.

Saihara sighed and took his phone off the table and sent the text anyway. He at least wanted to strike up conversation again. Ouma was one of the cutest boys he has ever seen. His hair so puffy and soft that he wanted to just pet it, and if you got him laughing then you would become addicted to the sound. Saihara did have a bit of a crush on him when they had first met, but his timid personality clashed with Saihara's inept one. Now he was settling for a simple friendship.

Saihara: *Hey Ouma! What are you up to?* He set the phone down and began to eat on one of the sides from his dinner and pressed play on a video.

Soon a notification on his phone went off.

Ouma: *Hey,, I'm just doing homework. You..?*

Ouma was even timid in his messages.

Saihara: *I'm eating dinner finally and trying to relax.*

Ouma: *oh, yeah I saw you had to stay after. That super sucks.*

Fuck so he did see Saihara there at least?

Saihara: *Oh yeah! You came in sometime during that huh?? There was someone else with you, I think?* He had to play it cool. Maybe he could make it seem like he didn't even know him.

Ouma: *Oh, uhm, yeah.*

Saihara huffed. That was all Ouma was going to say?

Saihara: *That's cool!* He really wanted to press further but wasn't exactly sure what to say. *Is he a friend of yours? Boyfriend? ;) Name??*

It took a lot longer for him to respond this time. Saihara wondered if he had scared him away. He really just, didn't know how to talk to people most of the time. He would become annoying or exhausting and people would eventually cast him away. Social cues just were not his specialty, but he really was trying to work on it.

While he waited, Saihara reached down on the ground for his messenger bag and lifted the flap to look for his notebook. It wasn't right there in the front. He could have sworn he had just stuck it in. He checked behind the other things he had but there was no trace of the notebook. Saihara's eyes widened and he suddenly felt his chest tightening. Fuck.

He knew the sound of his phone had gone off but it sounded so muffled, much like he was underwater. His vision also started to become blurry. Did he leave it at the library? Did it somehow fall out? Someone was going to take it and his life would be over. He found himself gasping for air, the room feeling like it had been closing in on him and he was losing oxygen.

Shakily he reached back into his bag once more, not for his missing notebook, but another compartment that held a small bottle. He flipped the lid off taking a small pill out and took it with a swig of his drink. He kept these on him for moments like this. Moments when he was loosing himself in an attack and needed help to calm it down. He was supposed to be taking them regularly but he opted to only take them during panic attacks.

His mind was running 80 mph as he imagined scenarios of someone picking up his notebook and spreading everything through the school. He grabbed a couch pillow and shoved his face into it, trying to regulate his breathing and keep himself from passing out.

It felt like years to him, but finally he felt himself begin to relax. He could still feel a sense of fear, but his breathing had gone down and his body felt weak. The downside of this was the feeling afterwards, like almost a delay in his reactions. It certainly calmed him down, but it didn't fully take away the feeling that got him there. It was just easier to handle now.

The pillow fell lazily to the ground with a thump and Saihara looked over to his phone. Maybe he would look and distract himself from everything. As he pressed his on button, the screen lit up and it took a second for his vision to adjust to focusing on it. He clicked on the text message Ouma had sent a while ago.

Ouma: *saihara, we both know you know who he is..*

Ouma wasn't wrong. He really didn't think about it when he had sent his reply earlier. He probably looked like a big dumbass. What was he even supposed to say now? A lot of time had passed so he assumed Ouma thought he had ignored him after being called out. Shit another great attempt at a friendship.

Saihara: *Sorry, I know. I was just trying to keep up conversation and not sound too stalkery.*

He put his phone down on to his laptop and looked over at the food he hadn't finished eating. At this point his appetite was shot so it was going to end up as lunch for the next day. Saihara pulled himself up on to wobbly legs and took the bowl to the fridge. Another ding came from his phone, and then another as he finally got back over to the couch.

Ouma had replied.

Ouma: *You're fine,, no worries. Its good that you didnt freak out about it... hehe*

One thing did bother him about the responses. Ouma never addressed the boyfriend part of his question. Saihara wondered if maybe that was intentional. Maybe Ouma didn't want anyone to know or maybe he thought Saihara would throw a fit if he knew, which wasn't the case at all.

But another number had also contacted him.

*Saihara.*

That was, weird. Saihara stared at the message trying to figure out what the best response should be. This mystery number was just another thing on top of his already overwhelmed plate.

Saihara: *Maybe?* That was the stupidest response but nothing else seemed like it would be vague enough to match the vibe.

*Are you missing something?*

Saihara's eyes widened. This had to be the person who stole his notebook.

Saihara: *What gives you the right to dig into my stuff?*

He'd be lying if he said he was anything less than livid. Who had the balls to dig into others belongings? In all actuality, he could think of a few. Momota came to mind. He wouldn't think twice about taking whatever he wanted and having more of a reason to ridicule him. Saihara hoped to whatever deity out there that it wasn't him.

*Says the person who likes to eavesdrop on conversations he isn't a part of.*

Saihara re-read the message at least ten times in his head. No, no way. It couldn't be him. How would he have even gotten his phone number? He didn't have it written down in the notebook anywhere. Maybe someone had been watching them?

Before he knew it, Saihara had pressed the call button at the top of the text messages, determined to get to the bottom of it.

The phone rang three times before it was answered.

"Yeah?"

There was no mistaking that voice. Even over the phone it made him melt like butter.

"Amami?" His voice came out breathy, with a small squeak as he struggled to fit pieces together.

"Mhmm." Amami answered with more of a confirming noise than anything.

"You, you have m-my notebook?"

"You really like Danganronpa don't you?"

Well that answered it. Saihara stayed quiet at that. The answer was completely obvious. Then it hit him. All of the pages that had been dedicated to Amami, were now in his hands.

"Did you, uhm, uh, re-read all o-of it?" Saihara began to bite on his finger nails trying desperately to stay grounded.

"Eh, not yet. You kind've interrupted me." How was Amami so chill about this. He acted so nonchalant about what he had done, about the reactions he was recieving from Saihara.

"Listen, uhm, c-can I just hav-ve it back, please?"

"Sure. I'll give it back to you tomorrow. If you don't get yourself stuck back in the library again."

Saihara pulled his finger out of his mouth and huffed loud enough to he heard against the reviever.

"H-how did you ev-ven get my n-number?" He may have sounded a bit more agitated than he intended to show.

"That's for me to know. Got it?" His smooth, relaxed voice now had a firm sound to it.

"O-okay." Saihara responded immediately. It was time for him to accept his fate at this point.

"I'm not going to share it with anyone." Amami reassured him, almost like he could hear what Saihara was thinking. "I'm not the type of person to do that."

"B-but you're th-the type to s-steal out of pe-peoples bags?"

There was a moment of silence between the two.

"I-im sorry. I d-didnt mean to, to snap." Saihara apologized. "I was j-just, uh, freaking out earlier."

Amami had made another noise in response to the confession. "I'm not surprised. Look, I'll give it to you tomorrow. No one else will see it. Meet me at the store across the street in the morning okay?"

"Okay. Uhm. I just, I advise you b-before you read more. It's uh, s-some of it m-may have you in it."

"Do you not want me to read that then?"

That caught him off guard. Did Amami really care enough to skip the pages doodled in hearts about him? Or would he lie and read them anyway?

"If you really don't want me to then I won't. I haven't gotten far. Just a couple of excecution you have planned out."

Saihara thought for a moment. Amami had touched him in the library today. What if he was actually eager to read what was in there? Maybe Amami could handle it, if he felt the same way. His heart skipped a beat at the thought of Amami feeling the same way about him.

Deep down, it was also thrilling to have him read those fantasies.

"Y-you can."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I-I don't mind. Just, d-dont hate me for some of the s-stuff in there."

"Want me to tell you when I have or keep it to myself?"

This all seemed to point towards Amami actually caring about his feelings in all of this. It reassured Saihara that perhaps things wouldn't be so bad. Maybe the outcome would be much like the movies where one person would read the love letters and fall in love with the sender.

"Please tell me. I'll b-be worried sick if I just, just don't know anything."

"Will do then. I'll text you." And with that Amami hung up.

Saihara let out a shaky breath and saved the number into his phone. Amami's name, with quite a few hearts following. He couldn't help it. This is not at all how he thought he and Amami would start talking, but he still relished in seeing that name in his contacts and felt like he was in a dream state. That night he was going to eagerly wait with his phone volume turned up.

"On the night of the winter formal, you were spotted with one of your classmates. What were you doing?"

Noah takes in a deep breath, "It was me and Z. We were both so fed up with school and everyone in it. So, we decided to get our own back. We wanted to prove a point. That was it. Nothing more,"

"And this happened to be on the same night as one one of your classmates was murdered?"

"Everyone in that class was hiding something. And us two were pushed to the sidelines through it all. Even (Y/N) got caught up in all of it," Noah throws his hands up, "All we did was expose what was really going on,"

~~~Friday 16th November 2018~~~

"(Y/N)," Tom walks over to you, interrupting your conversation with Z and Noah.

You look up at him expectantly, forgetting the other two instantly as soon as his warm eyes graced yours.

"Can I speak to you for a minute?" He asks politely.

"Yeah, sure," You nod, standing up and grabbing your bag, "I'll speak to you later guys," You assure the other two.

They're already rolling their eyes and turning back to the work you were meant to be doing. It made you feel slightly guilty. Slightly. But they knew how you felt about Tom, no matter what they thought of him or the rest.

So, you're walking out of that classroom and down the corridor with him without question. He sits down on the steps at the end of the corridor and you sit beside him, both of your eyes settling on the trophy case in front of you.

"So, are you free tonight?" He asks gently, fiddling with his hands as he spoke.

"I'm not really sure," You comment, "How come?"

"Well," He scratches at the back of his neck, "I was wondering if you wanted to come round to mine? My parents are at some business weekend until Sunday and so I thought you'd maybe want to come round. Maybe I could try to make up for the last time you were round for that god awful dinner,"

You let out a small laugh, "I don't think I can really say no now. I'll have to call my Dad first to check we haven't got plans but then I'll meet you in the gym, okay?"

By the smile heating his lips, you are certain that he's pleased with your answer and he brushes his hands over his trousers before standing up and leaving you to call your Dad.

"Hi Dad," You begin as Peter's voice responds to your dial, "Are we doing anything tonight?"

You can tell from his sigh that he doesn't want you to tell him you've got plans with your 'school friends', "No we aren't, but what did you have in mind?"

"Tom's asked me to go round to his house," You admit, "We have a project to work on and he's struggling with it so I said I could help,"

"Will anybody else be there?" By anybody else, he means Imogen.

"Just us. And his brothers," You assure him.

"I don't want you getting caught up in their antics (Y/N). You're far too good for any of them there!" Peter exclaims and you're starting to regret ever telling the truth.

"Dad, you sound worse than all of them. What makes me any better?" You question, dragging a hand through your hair.

He goes to respond but your irritance gets the better of you as you end the call instantly. It would bite you in the ass when you eventually got home but that was hours away. And they were hours where you didn't even have to think about home.

"Well that sounded like a fun conversation," Imogen comments as she strolls down the stairs, leaning against the handrail.

"How much did you hear?" You roll your eyes, standing up to look at her.

"Enough, your parents clearly think we're not good for you," She laughs, "What you don't realise, honey, is you're already one of us,"

You take a deep breath and don't manage to respond because you couldn't even begin to question it.

"Zendaya and that other boy, the weird ones," She continues, "They try to act like you're 'just like them'. But you're already too far in. You're part of us now, congratulations,"

"It's everything I ever dreamed it would be," You answer with deepset sarcasm.

"Well, since we're all the best of friends now. How about Harrison and I join you tonight?" She suggests, "In fact, I'll let him know now,"

Imogen quickly kisses your cheek in some sort of friendly manner before hurrying down the stairs. As your eyes follow her path, you notice that Z and Noah were there to listen to everything she'd just said.

"Hey," You smile, walking down to greet them. Perhaps you craved that crowd. You craved their normality, their authenticity and honesty.

"Oh come on," Z rolls her eyes, "Don't act like you don't agree with her. You think you're better than us now. We were just a stepping stone to the top, right?"

"Now you've got Tom, and Imogen by the looks of it," Noah gestures to where you had previously stood, "You think you're superior to us,"

You go to respond but their anger fuels the speed of their words.

"Enjoy your dinner date," Zendaya finishes their rant before the pair of them leave as though you'd never even been there in the first place.

Maybe Imogen was right. Z and Noah were good people, they never failed to make you laugh and had constantly been honest with you since you started here. And then there were the rest. They were constantly hiding something, they treated you like an outsider for weeks and they weren't the most trustworthy people in town.

As you started walking towards the gym, hoping for some reassurance in Tom's presence, you stumbled upon another conversation that you wished you didnt.

"Harry, nobody can know. Believe me, nobody can know," Sam's words tremble as he speaks to his brother.

"It's fine, it's going no further. Only I know, right?" Harry responds, trying to settle his words to a sturdy volume.

"Imogen. She found out and now she could tell anyone and-" Sam answers and you recognise that his anxiety is building in every syllable.

"We can't think about that now, then. She hasn't told anybody yet and we need to rely on that, okay?" Harry settles his brother's nerves but you can tell that he must be feeling fearful too.

What was Sam hiding? Did Tom know?

As the questions run their course in your mind, you're stopped by the feeling of someone's arms wrapping around your waist and the feeling makes you instinctively flinch at first.

"Are you coming to the gym?" Tom mumbles, resting his chin on your shoulder.

You hum in response and he drags you towards your area of seclusion. Part of you wanted to stay and find out what the twins were conversing about.

"So Imogen's decided that her and H are coming round tonight," You finally break the news as you and Tom sit cross-legged on the floor of the boxing ring, opposite each other but with minimal space between you.

You watch his eyes widen for a moment, "Are you okay with that?"

"Well, I figured it would be good for us to keep an eye on Harrison and hopefully they won't stay for too long," You comment, trying to believe it yourself.

"You want some alone time with me?" Tom leans back on his hands, wiggling his brows in a mocking gesture.

You roll your eyes, "Don't flatter yourself, Holland," As you go to stand, you jokingly shove at his chest and he grips your wrists to pull you flush against him when he falls back against the canvas.

"I'm serious," He mumbles, his nose bumping against yours as he spoke, gaze hung low on your lips.

"I don't like to plan these things," You smile, softly gracing your lips against his teasingly before pushing yourself away.

The evening came quickly and you found yourself thankful to be going, grateful that you could get away from home for a few hours.

"Hey (Y/N)!" Harry smiles politely as he opens the door for you.

"Hi Harry," You reply, glancing around the house for sign of his older brother.

"Tom's in the kitchen," He answers your inaudible question, "I did just want to say though, thank you for speaking to Sam when you were here before. It's not something he's very confident with so I appreciate you being there for him,"

"No, yeah, of course. It's good that he has you though," You point out.

"Yeah, well, he's my brother. I'd do anything for him," And, with that, Harry is gone.

You walk through to the kitchen and are happy to see Tom's presence behind the counter.

"You're cooking?" You exclaim and his head snaps round as soon as he hears your voice.

"Don't sound so surprised," He laughs, "Although I may have bribed Noah into helping me. He gave me some recipes and I really don't think I'm doing it right,"

You roll up the sleeves of your jacket and walk over to help him.

"What are you even trying to make?" You laugh, looking at the sight of random ingredients that scattered the kitchen counter.

Tom looked dishevelled in his domesticated attempts as you turned to notice he now had flour dotted in his brown locks and he still wore his school uniform, his tie loose around his unbuttoned collar.

You let out a light laugh, one that made Tom's heart skip a childish beat, "Come here,"

You reach your hand up and brush it through his hair, a gesture he isn't afraid to lean into as his eyes follow yours.

"You can go and get changed, and I'll try to finish this. If not, I'll order something in," You assure him, your hand lingering in his locks for just a moment longer.

He hums and opts to agree with your suggestions, leaning down in a certain movement to kiss.

"Hey guys!" Imogen chirps to signal her entrance.

Tom is quick to groan in his frustration, leaning his forehead down onto your shoulder like it would hide him from her inevitable company. You hide your laugh and press your head into his for just one last moment of intimacy.

"Hi Harrison, Imogen," You nod, pulling yourself away from Tom and walking over to them.

Tom grips Harrison in a brotherly hug before heading off to get changed.

"I'll put these in the fridge," Imogen comments, waving two white wine bottles in her hands.

When you properly looked at Harrison, he looked absolutely awful. Weakened and fatigued.

"I need to get away (y/n)," He comments quietly and the panic in his eyes insets into you, "If I have to stay with her, with everything with my family, I'm going to do something I'll regret. Something that I never, ever want to do,"

"Harrison, slow down, what are you talking about?" You frown, eyes darting over his face like his other features would give you more of a clue.

"She's driving me insane. She expects me to spend every living minute with her, she's threatening to tell the governors about my family and get my mum fired if I don't do what she wants. I can't believe it, she's like this whole other person than she is at school. I know I sound crazy but I don't know what to do," Harrison shakes his head, you've never seen someone look so rundown and stressed. It was like he was a whole other person behind those eyes, someone that was unlike anyone you'd ever seen in him.

"Haz, honey?" Imogen smiles, hurrying back other to both of you, "Let's go chill on the couch, I haven't seen you enough today,"

Harrison follows her with the reluctance of someone that wanted to be anywhere but with her.

"What was that all about? Is Harrison okay?" Harry asks, clearly worried about the boy he looked at as an elder brother.

"I really don't know," You sigh, "He needs help but he can't get out because he's scared of what she'll do,"

Harry's eyes focus on Harrison instead of you and you see the innocent fear echoing in his orbs.

"Don't worry, Tom and I will find a way to sort this. Somehow," You take a deep breath.

~~~Wednesday 30th January 2019~~~

"Harrison didn't do anything to deserve what he went through with Imogen," Tom confirms, certain of everything that his words spoke, "He was already going through enough with his Dad and the business, and she just used that to her own advantage,"

"And you wanted to handle that, correct?"

"I wanted to get my best friend out of that situation, yes. I've never seen him that bad before, he was losing his mind!" Tom exclaims, feeling some subsiding anger building back up.

"Losing his mind enough to do something he'd perhaps regret? A fit of rage leading to him doing something with huge consequences?" The woman's arrogance had become unbearable in these walls that echoed it all.

And part of Tom wanted to scream at her and tell him that Harrison didn't have a bad bone in his body. But that wasn't true, was it?

You were sleeping so peacefully, when someone nudged your shoulder, startling you awake and away from them on instinct, until you realized it was just Youngjae, who worked at the shelter you lived at.

“Y/n, you have a visitor. He’s asked for someone like you. Would you like to meet him?” His voice was soothing as you nodded your head, hopefully about to meet your newest owner. See, the shelter you were at, was designed for hybrids, like yourself, who had previously been in a bad home. The workers made sure that those who adopted from them wouldn’t mistreat the hybrids.

Youngjae left you alone for a minute, so you could change and prepare yourself for the new person. As a bunny hybrid, you were naturally shy, but even more so after your last owner abused you, physically and mentally. Stepping out of your room, you walked to the cafeteria, where you would meet the guy Youngjae talked about.

Before you saw them however, Jinyoung and Jaebum, the only two cat hybrids of the shelter, stopped you. They stood in front of you.

“So. Youngjae told us he has potentially found you a new owner. Are you gonna be okay? Or do you want us there with you for moral support?” Jaebum asked, making you smile at his over protectiveness.

“No, I think I’ll be fine. If I need anything, I’ll just come running to you two after Youngjae. That’s if something bad happens. But, I’ve gotta go.” You gave them each a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, before they left to the other side of the room.

Youngjae was talking to another guy, presumably the one who wanted to meet you. He was tall, and when he smiled there were dimples, which were cute.

“Ah! Y/n, come here sweetheart.” Youngjae caught sight of you, before ushering you over to him. “Y/n, this is Namjoon. He’s looking to adopt right now. Namjoon, this is Y/n. She tends to get shy with new people.” You had clung to Youngjae while he talked, still hesitant about him. “Oh, and please be careful what you say. And try to not raise your voice if something is wrong. She’s dealt with enough of that for an entire lifetime.”

“Go on.” Youngjae urged you forward and away from him, as he took leave of you two, giving you privacy.

“H-hi.” You gave him a small, shy smile, one which he returned.

“Hi there.” My god, those dimples would be the death of you. The two of you made small talk, you learning all about him as you gave him simple answers. You learned he was a lawyer, and that he went to work at 8 am, and came around 6:30 and 7 pm. He didn’t work weekends, unless it was a big case. He preferred to stay in most nights, and was really clumsy. “I think that’s the most I’ve talked about myself in a very long time.” He says with a laugh, before his face turns serious. “So, how would you like to come and stay with me? A permanent new home? You can come home with e today even, if you’d like.” He was so hopeful, and he seemed pretty nice after all.

You nod your head while saying, “Yes.” A smile spread across your face, once you realized you agreed to a new place to call home. One that would actually be a loving and caring home. He nearly picked you up to spin you around, but decided better of it, before bringing his hands to his mouth, and grinning even harder if that were possible.

He went over to Youngjae, you following behind him, as he told him he wanted to go ahead and sign the adoption papers and to take you home today.

“Awesome. If you’ll just sign right here, I will show you to her room, so she can get her things, and then you are free to take her home.” He was smiley as always, making you feel better about leaving the shelter.

“Namjoon, I could still come back here, right? To see Youngjae and the others?” You really hoped he said yes, you would miss never being able to talk to Youngjae, Jinyoung, or Jaebum again. They became your best friends while you’ve been here.

“Of course we can. What kind of person would I be if I didn’t let you come back to see your friends?” He smiled at you as the two of you followed Youngjae, before lightly ruffling your hair, fingertips grazing your ear, making you shiver.

“Ah, here we are.” Youngjae stopped in front of your room, and you walked in, grabbed the few clothes you had, and gave them to Namjoon.

“Here. This is all I really have here. Oh, and this.” You grabbed your two journals and pens/pencils. But you kept a hold of them. You didn’t want anyone else seeing what you’ve drawn. Clutching them close to your chest, Namjoon held your hand as Youngjae led you and Namjoon outside.

“Well Y/n, I guess this is good-bye. You’ll always have a place here, should you ever need to come back. I’ll miss you short-stack.” He had a sad smile on his face as he ruffled your hair, before lightly rubbing the base of your ears. Your eyes closed as you leaned into his touch. He was the one person, apart from Jinyoung or Jaebum, that you would let touch your ears, as they were very sensitive.

Your eyes opened when he stopped, and you had missed the face of longing Namjoon had, which disappeared the moment your eyes opened.

“Well, let’s head on home. Gotta get you some clothes later today, that way we can relax the rest of the weekend. See ya later, Youngjae.” Though you were saddened as you watched the shelter disappear from your sight, you were excited at the thought of a new home. Namjoon was very gentle as he led the way home, but also letting you look and sniff around at all the new sights. As you turned one last corner, he stopped in front of a very nice building. It was apartments, but they were obviously nice. He put a code in on the keypad, and then there was the audible sound of the door unlocking. He opened the door, and then went to an elevator, quickly pressing the button. Stepping in, you glanced down, and realized he hadn’t stopped holding your hand the entire way there. You grinned to yourself, as movement stopped, the doors opened, revealing a short hallway, where he used his key to open the door to the apartment.

It was beautiful inside. To the left was a kitchen, and straight ahead was a living room. A couch on the wall and one in front of the T.V. that was on the wall. On each side of the T.V., were windows, each with a window seat.

“C'mon. I’ll show you the rest of the place.” He smiled almost shyly as he spoke, before moving down the hallway. Your room was across from his, with a full-size bed, a desk, and another window. Then there was the closet and dresser along the same wall, across from the bed. His was set up similarly, but he didn’t have a window. Then he had a guest room, and the bathroom across from said room. At the end of the hallway was a washer and dryer.

“This is so pretty. Thank you so much.” You turned and gave him a hug, nuzzling your face up into his neck. When you pulled away, his cheeks were bright red.

“It’s nothing much, really.” He mumbled. “So,” he cleared his throat, “would you like to go shop for some clothes now?”

“Sure. But can it wait a bit? I’m a little hungry. I haven’t had lunch yet.” After a delicious lunch, with him tripping and nearly dropping it as well, the two of you went to different stores and bought you some new clothes. All the pants had a hole for your tail, as well as the hats for your ears. By the time you got home, it was time for dinner, and you were flat-out exhausted. Sitting on the couch, you slightly curled up, creating warmth as you waited for Namjoon.

As he called out, he didn’t get a response from you, so he was shocked to find you curled up and asleep on the couch. Smiling softly, he went to you, before picking you up, laughing to himself as you nuzzled into him, before he took you to your room and tucking you in. Taking his phone out, he took a quick picture of you laying there all snuggled up to a pillow, before halfway closing the door and going to bed himself.  

Over the course of the next few months, Namjoon had been nothing but kind and caring to you. Always making sure you were okay, and during this time, you were finally comfortable enough with him, that he was shocked the day you brought his hand up to your ears, a silent offer to pet them. Since then, he had taken a lot of opportunities to rub your ears, knowing now that it would help you sleep at night. Along with being cuddled by him. Everything was wonderful. Until this one day…

“Joonie! You’re back!!” You ran up to him, capturing him in a hug. He hadn’t been home much the past few weeks, as he had a very important case to work on. He was gone early in the mornings and gone until late at night.

“Y/n.” He gave you a tight lipped smile, making you tilt your head in confusion.

“Joonie? What’s wrong? Please tell me I didn’t do anything to make you angry with me and that’s the cause for your not being home.” You knew he had to work, but your insecurities came tumbling out, as you let out a squeak, realizing what you just said.

“Y/n, just stop for once, ok? I feel like I’m suffocating with how you’ve been hovering over me. I get it. You’re worried and all. But do you think you could tone it down a bit?”

Lowering your head, you mumbled out, “Ok. Good night Namjoon.” You kept your head low as you walked back to your room. You didn’t have the energy to slam it shut like you wanted to, but you did lock it.

You grabbed your little journal, and made an entry for the night.

*I waited up for Joonie. He hasn’t been home early lately. But I hover over him and suffocate him. Or so he says tonight. So, I guess I’ll stop with waiting up for him. And sleeping with him. Unless he explicitly asks, I just won’t do anything to ‘suffocate’ him. Well, I guess that’s all for now.*

After closing your journal, you climb into bed, hugging your oversized teddy bear close, drifting off to sleep.

For the next week or so, you stopped randomly cuddling with Namjoon on the couch, instead opting to curl in on yourself with your head resting on the arm rest. “Hey, Bunbun, I’m home!” He called out, hoping to entice you to come running to him like normal. He was met with silence, and that’s when he began to worry. You would always come meet him. He made his way through the apartment, checking each room til he came to yours. There you were, lying there, fast asleep, with Jimin next to you. Jimin was a cat-hybrid that lived across the hallway. Jimin had sat up when he walked in, and when he tried getting closer, he actually hissed at him!

“What’s up with you? I’ve never heard you hiss before.”

“Well I wouldn’t have to if you didn’t make her cry.”

“Woah woah, when did I make her cry? And why?” He was beyond confused, but saddened at the thought of you crying because of him!

“You apparently told her to, and I quote, ‘Tone down the hovering. It feels as though I’m suffocating.’ That is what you told my sweet little bunny. Have you been so busy, that you don’t have time for her? That you don’t even remember what you say to her? You know how sensitive she is. Anything you say, will affect her. Now leave, she needs to sleep right now. She spent the last hour crying to me after I came over when she called me.” Jimin huffed, and cuddled back up to you, making you nuzzle your nose into him, your small little tail wiggling in your sleep. He left the room, shutting the door behind him, and went to sit on the couch, contemplating how this came to be.

Still half-asleep, you clung onto him, mumbling a 'five more minutes’, making him giggle cutely. “No my little bunny. You need to get up. One because I have to go back to my home for dinner, but two because you’ve got a visitor. And he really wants to talk to you. Also, you can literally smell how bad he feels. You should go talk to him.”

“Ugh, alright. But if I really want you to, can you come back over after dinner? If I really wanted you over here for the night?” You stared while pouting lightly, giving him your best puppy dog eyes.

“Fine, yes. But only if you don’t like what he says after all this.” He groaned, with you pumping your fist upwards in victory.

“Yes! But okay. You go on out, tell him I’ll be out shortly, ok?” You gave him one last, long hug, before he disappeared through your open doorway.

“Okay.” You finally muttered after some time. His face lit up it was almost blinding.

“Okay? So all is forgiven?”

“Yes.” All it took was that one word confirmation for him to hug you, one hand resting at the back of your head, the other on your back. You felt him hold back on rubbing your ears, and you grabbed his hand and brought it to your ear, a silent offering he happily took. Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi tell intense story of playing for Russian spy due to low WNBA wages

This story about Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird in Russia needs to be heard to be believed.

The WNBA stars’ time playing under a Russian spy underscores the WNBA’s pay problem.

As a result of how poorly women are paid to play basketball in America, most of the best professional basketball players in the world head overseas after their WNBA seasons end. Athletes can only profit off their talents for so long and need to maximize earnings while their bodies are at their peak. The maximum salary in the W was just $117,500 for the 2019 season. In Russia, China, and Turkey among other countries in Europe and Asia, players can make 10 times that amount.

The circumstances abroad are crappy for most. American players are typically unfamiliar with the countries they’re living in, rarely speak the native language, and often need translators to communicate with teammates and coaches. They’re usually without friends and have to leave their families for months at a time. And for Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, it meant playing for a KGB spy-turned Russian billionaire businessman.

In an ESPN 30 for 30 podcast, Bird and Taurasi detailed their experience and complicated feelings towards Shabtai Kalmanovich. From a financial standpoint, he was everything the pair wished existed at home. Kalmanovich treated Taurasi and Bird like royalty, and had a real love for women’s basketball. He spoiled the hell out of them, paid them multiple-times their American salaries, and gave reason for them to want to return to Moscow each year. For the first time since they were stars at the University of Connecticut, Bird and Taurasi were treated like the best athletes in the world.

Kalmanovich gave Taurasi and Bird the best sides of himself, but they knew there was another. “He wore two hats,” Bird said. Kalmanovich was a Russian spy for 17 years as he became a wealthy business man by exploiting cheap labor in South Africa. He was eventually caught for passing forged checks to the U.S. while in England, then was extradited to America, and sent to Israel, where he was arrested for espionage. He served five years in prison, was released, then re-located back to Russia where he grew as a businessman, including becoming the general manager for the Spartak Moscow basketball team. That’s where Taurasi and Bird starred for four consecutive EuroLeague championships, until one day in 2009, Kalmanovich was murdered in a contract-style hit.

Kalmanovich’s pitch to sign Taurasi and Bird was something women’s basketball players can only dream of getting in the U.S.

“The only reason you go [to Russia] is for money,” Taurasi said. “That is the only reason you leave your country to go to a different country to play basketball.” That’s exactly what Kalmanovich provided, and then some.

While playing for another Russian team, Dynamo Kursk, Bird and Taurasi met with Kalmanovich for the first time in 2006. It was Taurasi’s first season in Russia, and she’d sworn off ever returning after feuding with the head coach. “You don’t know Russia the way I can show you Russia,” Bird recalled Kalmanovich saying. And he was right.

Kalmanovich was very well-connected, so much so that during the meeting, he dialed the phone and had an Israeli passport made for Bird as a loophole to a EuroLeague rule that prevented teams from signing more than two American players. (He’d later sign Tina Thompson.)

Then, Kalmanovich outlined contracts for Bird and Taurasi who, depending on bonuses, could make between $400,000 and $1 million. For the first time in their lives, this was a life-changing money offer. And it didnt stop there. When the team traveled, Kalmanovich put his players in the best hotels. They recalled a time when a commercial flight was set to leave during the team’s game, and Kalmanovich called to have it moved back so his team could make it. Bird and Taurasi were provided a mini mansion with a pool and sauna to live in. He also left them his credit card to use how they pleased.

“Well now I can put up with Russia,” Taurasi said.

Adjusting to basketball in America again was hard for Taurasi and Bird

The Spartak Moscow team was really, really good. Taurasi and Bird won four EuroLeague titles (the best league in the region), and two Russian premier league titles. They were paid well, kept well, and treated like a men’s athletics star. But that was only for half the year. Then they played four months in the WNBA, where they’d hardly make six figures and travel in crappy conditions.

“You get back to the WNBA and you’re lugging your shit around, getting on a terrible American Airlines flight at 4:45 a.m.,” Taurasi said. The league prohibits charter flights, and younger players double-up in hotel rooms. The pay disparity and treatment between men and women basketball players is drastic. This past WNBA season, Taurasi voiced her anger, saying, “We had to go to a communist country to get paid like capitalists, which is so backward to everything that was in the history books in sixth grade.”

Moscow may have been freezing and snowing. Taurasi and Bird may not have spoken the language. And Kalmanovich, no matter how friendly and warm he was to them, may have had a secret, dark past, but at least they were making money they could live for a long time on.

“I think about what I have in my life now from a financial standpoint, and it’s in large part due to Shabs,” Bird said. “It’s just this one person who took an interest in women’s basketball, but what would my life be without that? I can retire and be fine, and not a lot of people can say that at 38.”

Kalmanovich was murdered outside the Kremlin during the 2009 season. Nobody was ever charged for his murder, though it was concluded that this was a professional hit. It likely happened as a result of a business disagreement. This was his other hat.

Bird was rehabbing an injury in America at the time, but Taurasi was there, and attended his funeral. Kalmanovich’s wife met with Taurasi, and admitted she could no longer promise her the lofty salary Shabtai did, and gave her the option to play elsewhere. Taurasi opted to stay and play for free. Bird returned, and the duo won one last championship.

“[Kalmanovich] viewed us as performers and entertainers and wanted to share our talents with the world,” Bird said. “He was allowing us to have a career and make money doing it. You’re able to take that home, and have a life.”

“He made everything bigger than life,” Taurasi said. “And at the time, women’s basketball needed someone to make it bigger than life.”

Those are statements made by American women about an ex-KGB spy. They’re no dummies. Taurasi and Bird were fully aware that Kalmanovich wasn’t the warm, helpful man he presented himself as. Taurasi noted that each team the team flew, there was a guy in a black SUV with a suitcase waiting for him. “We saw one side of Shabtai,” Taurasi said. “We knew there was another side.”

But Kalmanovich cared about the women’s game enough to invest in it, provide for it, and as a result, got two of the best players of all time to want to fly halfway across the world and play for his team. They loved playing in Moscow. They welcomed Kalmanovich like a father, and ate meals at his house. This is where they felt most respected.

In the current WNBA, players are making threats to not return. Brittney Griner foreshadowed an early retirement because she doesn’t feel the league protects her. Australian star Liz Cambage threatened to sit the season if she wasn’t traded. Taurasi herself, in 2015, skipped the WNBA season because her Russian team, UMMC Ekaterinburg, paid her more to rest.

Change might be coming. The league and the players’ union are currently negotiating for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that may improve financial and travel conditions. But that’s a work in progress.

To conclude the podcast, the host asked Taurasi and Bird one final question: “If [Kalmanovich] were a mafia figure, what would that mean for you as a player?”

Bird’s response was reasoned:

If you presented me with facts that he was out there murdering people, that would be hard to detach from. It would be hard because he did mean so much to us in all these other ways, and we never saw that ever.

Taurasi’s response is crushing:

I can only go from how he treated me. I can only go on the basis of how he helped my career. And that’s easy for me to say, right, because he did nothing but help me. Would it be ignorant for me to be like ‘Oh it wouldn’t change my perception at all?’ I don’t know? I don’t know if it would, to tell you the truth. The good person in me say ‘Yeah of course it would.’ I should feel different. I don’t know if I would though. I really don’t.

I can’t believe it’s come to this but I must tackle MULTIPLE people at the same time.

Miles and kerry stated that because of the tumblr fandom disliking the jaune arc they aren’t going to do arcs for other characters. Which when writing a story heavy series and trying to make it sound smart and well written is not an excuse.

Considering the fact that Ren and Nora, Weiss, Blake and Yang all had an arc, I have to assume that was a joke they made that you took out of context. maybe if I had a link or source to see for myself and be proven wrong otherwise but nope, no source I’ll just make my own assumptions.

So jaune a side character got little establishment and barely even stuck to it. (note the “This is all I ever wanted to be.” Yet neglected all study portions) and the actual 4 main characters of team rwby get no arcs cause people complained about jaune.

I saw Jaune slack off once in the entire series. That is it. And in that very same scene, Nora and Pyrrha were slacking off as well so it’s not just jaune. And consider the fact that Jaune in Volume 4 is constantly training as shown in Episode 2 of Volume 4 that is obviously not true that he hasn’t stuck to his character.

Also: Jaune is a main character. It has been confirmed by Monty himself that Jaune and his team are main characters. This is a GOOD thing as this means there is at least two male main characters in a female eccentric show meaning RWBY is officially putting in more effort to actually be progressive than most so called “progressive” shows.

And again: Weiss, Blake and Yang had arcs in this very volume so again, this seems like you’re just ignoring whatever you want to justify your hate to Miles, which puts your entire criticism at risk.

“You wanna elaborate on how ruby’s a tactician?”  Miles: “Nope.”

But they have. Jaune was written down to being a support character for Pyrrha in Volume 3 and has been written down as a support character for Ruby in Volume 4. He hasn’t had the focus of Volume 1 or even 2 in a long time.

And considering Miles and Kerry are the ones who made RWBY alomgside Monty and you demand they step down before they’re ready, that’s akin to demanding Burnie step down from RvB before his time: It’ll do nothing but damage.

Result- Ignorance of acknowledged and fixed flaws.

In Volume 4, The amount of focus the main characters got are as follows: Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Oscar, Ren and Nora, Yang, Jaune. Jaune, unlike even Yang, had barely any focus on himself: it was all used to develop Ruby, it was all Ruby’s focus using Jaune as a tool. That is fundamentally wrong.

And the problem is that THEY are the writers. And both have high RT positions and several dozens of layers of Cultish RT Fandom Protection.

No, the problem is that all of you have shown yourselves untrustworthy as you bully and harass people without end be it the writers or the fandom. You will call anyone who defends the a cultish, basically demanding everyone change around you instead of changing yourself. If you could just stop insulting Miles and Kerry and the fandom then people will actually listen.

Unless they REALLY fuck up (and I am talking about a literal catastrophe here, because RT have really low standards for this kind of shit), they wont move. Ever. Probably not even get a reprimand.

You said “Jaune is getting too much screentime” they gave him less screentime, you said they ignored you. It’s pretty obvious why they aren’t listening to you: you have proven yourselves unworthy of paying attention. *Lets out a frustrated sigh* If Jaune was a creator’s pet then his entire purprose in Volumes 3 and 4 wouldn’t be building up other characters. Jaune is not the main focus: he never was and he certainly isn’t now. I don’t now why you insist in it so: eventually the writers will give up and actually do it then what will you do? You’re complaints will have actually damamged the show and the writers all because you can’t understand that a female eccentric show can have a strong male cast.

I never feel such a total wrecked as what i felt today. Waking up today feeling quite miserable after receiving a phone call from a headhunter saying my application could not be entertained because i was not qualified for it.(they didnt specify it in their advertisement anyway...so not my fault)

Feeling a little low while the morning is still early then i decided to go back to sleep...i didnt sleep quite well though..even had a dream about my ex/bf, Afiq.

The morning didnt go quite well...feeling depressed starting to consume me..so i’ve decided to take my little sisters to House of Cats...maybe that will distract my mind a little bit..it does but not for long...once i reached home...the pressure starting to swell up inside me...I received an email from a potential employer but turns out the location is just beyond considering..so i have decided to decline although i am entering the ‘desperate’ phase of searching my job...Then its where i’ve started to feel my pressure and stress reaching its maximum point.

I didnt do anything. I just lay on my bed. Tears started to flow over.Prayers didnt help. I was gasping for help..but there was no one.None. I never felt so alone and helpless in my life.I reached Afiq but i know he is so occupied with work.He didnt say much.A sign that i am just a disturbance in his life at the moment. My friends? They are all friends during easy times. Its true when they said what matters are those who stick by you through your hard times. But they weren’t there. None of them even remember my birthday after 8 years of friendship. But i try to forgive all of them by thinking everyone has its own issues..but i will always be there for them, in a bit...why cant anyone be here for me?

Lessons Learnt During The Hard Times.

1. Depression

When you are jobless or dont have any purpose of life, you will start losing yourself. It might be okay for some, but definitely not for me. I am not able to utilize my brain. I am not able to make use of my *** degree after years of hardwork. It will consume you day by day. I was so much worse now compared to my DAY 1 of jobless. I am now in my DAY 41 of jobless and i am like piece of shit.My advice to myself is always secure a job before resigning.But in my case, I didnt resign because of no reasons, i resigned because i have to.

2. Fuck your, dear former boss.

I was employed for 1 1/2 years. I like my job. I can handle the pressure. Some even looking down on me because they think my job is easy. But try running the firm on your own (while you are still lack of experience), making decisions on your own, clients looking after your boss but because he never came to the office so you have to face them instead. Try having your office being splashed by red paints by gangsters because they are looking for your boss but he was never around and you yourself have to go to the police station and lodge the report. Try having being paid late for every single month. Try not getting your last month salary because your boss is fucking mean and want to have revenge on you. Try having keep begging your boss for your last salary amounting RM4K+++ because you are in desperate need of money and your boss just laughed it all out. Everyone keep saying, you should have left earlier...i want to but because of considering that my boss has to work alone, i dont have the heart and look how he repays me.Dear Mr.**, i hope you rot in hell and may your life never be at peace for all the wrongdoings you have done.

3.  Broke

My bank is empty. My wallet is empty. I have my savings.But you shouldnt touch that, arent you? That is for the house deposit money i’m planning to buy by the age of 30 since i am not going to get married, so i will buy the house using my own hardwork money. I am going to buy a house, stay on my own and probably getting a cat. Until i die. Might opt for free sex if my faith is so shaken by then, who knows. I want to adopt a child and i will raise her on my own. I will be a good mother, thats one thing i know for sure despite of my depression. Looking at a young child’s face soften and melt my heart. So yeah, i am broke. And seeing everyone having such a good life didnt make any easier. I restricted myself from going out..restricted myself from buying food i want. Restricted myself from buying or going anything/anywhere.

4. Family

Broke.No friends. Boyfriend out of picture. I just have my family. My family. I wouldnt say they are my safety net but they are all i have now when everyone left. I know my parents will be there for me. But for how long? I should be the one taking care of them and not the other way round. I want to take care of my family. But now it seems they are keeping a big fat old maiden pig in the house.I tried to help as much as i can.Cleaning, washing, cooking, being driver to my sisters. I’m trying everything that i can. But sometimes, i know i do disappoint my family.

5. Afiq

My boyfriend? My ex? I dont know. We fight a lot.Like really a lot. Depression starts to sweep in and he is the one that i can talk to.But he said he is getting tired with all the whining. Somehow job didnt just landed at your feet. So it has jeopardized our relationship. And he seems to drifting away too. Not sure if there’s a new girl in town. So we fought again last week. Very big fight until i dont think our relationship can work out again. "Mr. Saihara?"

'Just one more time... I'll finally get it.'

'One, two, THREE.'

A loud thunk echoed, bringing the boy in question out of his thoughts. Saihara had been thumbing away at his portable gaming console and not giving any thought to the people around him, including the teacher that was now looming over him, with a book in hand that he had hit the desk with. Saihara must have lost track of time and didnt realize class had started. Shit.

"Uh..uhm.." Saihara began to stutter out.

"Uh uh." The teacher interrupted. "You know the drill."

"Y-yeah I do. Im-m sorry." What was he supposed to do? A new mini game had just come out for his favorite series, Danganronpa. Did people just expect him not to beat it the day it released just so he could have bragging rights? No one understood.

Unfortunately he had to stay after school for an hour or two as punishment. Not that it bothered him. He didn't exactly care to be at home. He would just end up hiding away in his room with his laptop anyway.

He lived solely with his Uncle who was a detective so he wasn't home that often. He never really knew what happened to his parents. He had been told quite a few different stories but they were never the same so Saihara gave up asking. Having detention would just pass time until dinner.

He put away the console into his messenger bag and continued trying to pay attention to the rest of the class. Key word being tried; His mind always wandered. He would always end up studying and doing well on his own so he would often daydream while in classes. He could just pick up where he left off in the game at lunch.

Two more hours rolled by just like normal. During transition times he would quickly zoom through the crowd to get to the next classroom without having to face any humiliation from bullys. He really didn't feel like battling them today.

Finally he had reached lunch time. He'd finally be able to play again. Saihara had packed a fruit bowl and a bottle of water into his bag this morning for lunch, so there was no need to crawl through the lines of students trying to buy their lunch.

He dashed to the back of the school. It had finally begun to turn autumn. The trees were all different shades of reds, yellows, and oranges while the brown ones had fallen to the ground. With each step he relished in the sound of them crushing. The cool air made it the perfect time to be outside. He had found a tree on the outskirts of the campus line and let his bag slump off his shoulder.

"Bout time you get here." A voice called from behind him.

"I'm s-sorry Akamatsu. I was trying to get here as, as fast as I could." He turned to face the blonde girl behind him. Her signature resting bitch face glaring at him.

"Did you bring the game?" She asked in a low tone. It felt like they were doing a more illegal exchange.

"Of course I-I did. Do you th-think I'm dumb?" Saihara was almost offended. Akamatsu was one of the only people he knew that loved Danganronpa too. Not as much as him of course, but she did have the same aspirations as him.

"No. Just stupid." She responded bluntly before sitting down on the ground beside his bag.

"Ha ha." He faked a laugh and joined her. She had her hands inside of his bag digging out the console. He didnt mind, he was used to her being very abrasive. He opted for looking around while she booted up the game.

Suddenly his heart began to have palpitations and his stomach started twisting. Off in the distance his eyes were glued on a tall man with green hair lighting up a cigarette as he went to cross over to the convinient store. Many of the more, rough students would go there to smoke or create chaos.

"Hey I fucking swear if you drool on yourself I'm going to take this home with me and hold it for ransome." Akamatsu called out to him.

Saihara wiped his mouth and frowned. "S-sorry."

The green haired man's name was Rantaro Amami, and Saihara had the biggest crush on him. Amami had already been in one of the killing games and survived. Saihara had watched every episode, with his crush growing more and more as he watch Amami help figure out the blackened. He almost didn't know how to react when he saw him in school. He was a celebrity, an idol, to Saihara. They hadn't even spoke but Saihara had thought of the most inappropriate fantasies involving the two of them. He vowed that one day he would finally open up to him. Whether it be during school or perhaps they could be on a season together. The thoughts sent shivers down Saihara's spine.

They stayed pretty quiet after that. Akamatsu stuck in the game and Saihara left to watch and help if she needed it, though most of the time she didn't. The hour flew by and Saihara watched for another sign of Amami. He had finished his fruit with Akamatsu's help.

"Fuck we're gunna have to go back to class. I dont want to." Akamatsu saved her place and sat it down on the ground near Saiharas bag.

Saihara looked away from the store and back to his friend. "Lucky me, I have to stay after school for a bit."

"Sucks." She stood up and brushed flakes of leaves off of her skirt. "Can I take the game while you're locked up?"

Saihara huffed. "Fine. B-but you cant take it home. I'll find y-you and kill you."

"Dont make promises you cant keep." She grabbed it off the ground and started back towards the school. "See you fucker." He watched her disappear before he stood up himself.

He slung the bag over his shoulder and looked over at the store once more. Perhaps he had just missed Amami. He huffed at the thought and gripped the strap of his bag before making his way to his next class. The kids had already scattered and the last thing he needed was to be late and have to stay even longer.

The crunch of leaves turned into steps on pavement as he followed the small groups of kids into the school.

"Hey freak!"

Fuck. Saihara knew that voice. Kaito Momota, the schools biggest asshole.

Without thinking Saihara began to sprint and push people out of the way.

The person he had run into didnt get nearly as affected. They had just been pushed forward slightly.

Saihara started to sputter an apology as he noticed their feet had turned to face him. His eyes slowly raised from the person's shoes, to their brown cardigan, to their face- Amami.

Amami stood over him with a scowl on his face and dark eyes.

Oh god Saihara was on his knees in front of him. His face immediately flushed.

"Oh m-my god I'm s-sorry. I didn't-"

"Didn't see me?" Amamis low voice finished his sentence. Amamis voice was so sensual, it did things to Saihara that he wouldnt admit to anyone else. Not even Akamatsu.

"You going to get up?" Amami crossed his arms and Saihara had to keep from drooling at the sight of them and the thought of his hands grabbing him and-

"Alright suit yourself." Amami turned to leave.

This brought Saihara out of his daydream and he quickly stood up. "No!"

"I-I I mean uhm. No I n-need to apologize." Saihara knew he had to be as red as the color on Amamis loose tie.
