Sometimes I feel like I'm the most chill person in this fandom when it comes to ships and characters. Like I can find reasons as to why each ship would work and wouldn't.
Pandalily? Academic rivals FOR SURE.
Jegulus? HELLO??? Bestfriends brother? Grumpy x Sunshine?
Partyvan? Peter deserves ALL that love.
Marylene? Not friends, not lovers, but something. It's so heartbreakingly cute.
I can even find stuff for ships I don't even ship.
Jeverus? After he saves his life? Hell yeah!
Dramoine? ENEMIES TO LOVERS! REDEMPTION ARCS!
Prongsfoot? Best friends to lover? Sure, man, go for it!
Regulus x Sirius?.......... You... You do you bro???
Snily? That "always" line was cute, I gotta admit.
I genuinely won't judge like if you ship them - if you see them working out; GO. FOR. IT. THEYRE FICTIONAL!! Have your own opinions, it's okay!
AND THE CHARACTERS!!!
Yes, they all have their flaws. Yes, James bullied Severus. Yes, James repeatedly asked Lily even though she'd already turned her down. Yes, he changed!!
Yes, Severus called the love of his life a slur. Yes, he bullied children. Yes he cared for Harry to some extent! Even if it's only as a tribute to Lily, that's better than nothing.
Yes, Dumblewh*re raise Harry for slaughter.... That's it... I have nothing more to add for him.... Bitch.
Yes, Regulus is a death eater. Yes, Regulus was obsessed with the dark lord since childhood. Yes, he stole the horcrux!!
Sorry for the rant but like I'm seeing so much hate for so many characters and ships and I don't understand it. There's as much to love as there is to hate. It wouldn't be fair if they were perfect flawless characters. They're designed to be insufferable and loving and idiotic and a little crazy.

with my phantom hourglass replay, there are two things i noticed;
a possible theme you could glean from the game is action vs inaction, and i think it's especially prevalent before you even leave mercay the first time, with oshus frequently urging link to not go after the ghost ship, then to just wait until the broken bridge is fixed, and seems reluctant at every turn while link and ciela are more than eager to go and do something about this problem, and the people of mercay in general talking about things and their problems but never seeming to act on their fears or desires, as well as the mention that due to the ghost ship, very very few people are still sailing around, while linebeck is one of the only people we see in the game actively going after the ghost ship and still sailing around. i might make a longer post just talking more about the action vs inaction in phantom hourglass but i just noticed it a bit and thought it was a bit of an interesting sort of theme you could find in the game.
linebeck moves so fucking much. i think he moves more than any npc in the rest of the game. not just in his intro cutscene where he is very animated, just in how much he moves when just standing in his little idle post, it's damn near distracting when the camera is focused on him, he moves a lot. i don't think i've really acknowledged how much he moves, and it really gives the impression that he's antsy or eager to get going, both of which fit him pretty well with how he acts.

I think the problem you are having with all the replies, is you're using the ship name (g h 0 u I c y, i'm censoring it as well, because tumblr search also searches anon question content) and your posts are literally showing up in the tag for shippers who are just minding their own business trying to look for content, only to be met with some really heavy accusations of condoning abuse/racism. Obviously this upsets them. If you don't want to get replies from Those People, you should be mindful that you're not using the space that they use to look at the ship.
I never said that I was accusing these people of CONDONING abuse or racism?? I said the ship was abusive and that there could be underlying/subconscious racism. Black love interests have always been seen as less desirable by fans and get pushed aside for a white character. Idrc if me saying that offends people. And what other way is there to describe the ship other than abusive? That's what it is
But I've already said this before, I don't want to talk about this ship anymore. I'm tired of talking about and thinking about it. I don't like it. It makes me really uncomfortable, please stop sending me asks about it
And can you guys stop going to my friends and mutuals and start sending THEM anons asking them for their opinions on me because I don't like the ship??? Thanks

context for this question: i see a lot of posts talking about how popular queerbait ships (destiel, sterek, johnlock etc) would have become cannon if homophobia wasn't an issue buttttt i can't help but feel that in a less homophobic society people would not have pushed for these ships at all.
EDIT: oh no grammar mistake :( i meant: people would not have shipped them at all sorry

the duality of kururu is that he could've actually forgotten to tell keroro to mind the height of the door on the aircraft in ep26... but maybe he didn't say it on purpose because he likes to have fun at others' misfortune... but MAYBE it was also that he was trying to stop keroro 🤭 like when he made angol mois fall in his solitary jail ... pulling the strings so that ultimately the GOOD outcome can still happen... pushing fuyuki in the water with a lifesaver? he almost drowned later, he could use the skill of Knowing How To Swim... or... anything in the cavity episode still resulting in the cavities being taken care of... (even if he enjoyed blowing him up from the inside 🫢)... to me he's like a true chaotic neutral, he enjoys teasing others and if that helps achieve a positive goal too that's nice

I've not talked deeply about all these people, but tried to summarize a bit, though I do recognize this is, of course, inane to anyone not in my circle skkflgl. I blame this on @suzuki-ecstar because she said she'd overthrow Seb for Mark...
*people like Lewis, Max, and Charles exist in this AU, but they're in different kingdoms, so they're not really up for this role. Though I think I could make an argument for Max. But y’know involved in the story, but not directly, just at the edges as they have their own things going on.
