wait actually, same anon from earlier, i have another question please, hope this isnt a stupid one. how do you/what other opinions have you heard abt the incentives taken to educate roma kids? im particularly interested in this bc in romania both among us and the roma part of the issue w trafficking is that girls are uneducated and lack opportunities, and generally im all for education being done in small rural communities, and in the future id like to spend my time in communities trying to do anything at all to help w this mess. but. at the same time ive always felt theres something - i hate this word but oh well - problamatic about it? obviously roma kids deserve equal access to education, and i know specifically for roma girls this is often harder because at times they are expected to marry young - which happens w us too at times. but at the same time, there are many roma in romania who dont want to send their kids to school, even when the opportunity is presented and insentives are taken, and from what i get one of the reasons is that there are those who see it as an attempt at forced assimilation....is it systemic opression to use the state to get these kids to school? at times too i have gotten the sense that the education system is in a way trying to make the kids less roma, if that makes sense, and that i rly dont agree w or think its gonna help much
Hi anon! This is a really tough question
You identified the different issues at play here. On the one hand, it is true that education is very important as it leads to employment opportunities and as it lowers the rates of early child marriage, sex trafficking and prostitution, and sexism overall.
On the other hand, European countries (not just Romania) have all used their institutions (be it the healthcare system or the education system, for example) to persecute Roma, take Romani children and forcibly assimilate them into the white dominant culture by separating them from their families. That was the policy in my country in the 18th century and during WWII, for example. That's why many, many Roma distrust any State officials, including medical professionals and teachers. This relationship is even more complicated by the discrimination you can get at school for being Romani (bullying from classmates, discrimination from teachers, up to outright segregation in specific Romani classes).
And still today, many national or European-wide programs or organizations are still embedded in this rhetoric. I'd advise you to look up Angéla Koczé's book Gender, Ethnicity and Class (I have a link to it in my pinned post, it's available for free online), she's a Hungarian Romani academic who talked a lot about the colonial dimension of these programs. Here, "colonial" is defined as the exercise of a political and economic power by more powerful groups over weaker ones. You get a lot of pro-Romani orgs, like the Open Society Fundation, a very famous one that played a key role during the Decade of Roma Inclusion, that will back programs in support of Romani rights, but will do so in a paternalistic manner, using the rhetoric of "civilizing the Roma". These organizations are led by white people, with Roma rarely being in commands, and their Romani employees regularly experience racism from them. Grassroots Romani programs get sidelined, they often don't get invited to programs led by these big groups, which leads Koczé to qualify it as a silencing technique.
If many Roma don't want to send their kids to school, it's because the trust we put in the education system is very eroded, has been eroded by a history of persecution, and is still very flimsy nowadays. This, as well as misogyny, is then justified by "culture" ("we take our daughter out of school to get her married"), which is a good excuse to naturalize sexism, but also, to prevent us from being fully aware of the history of anti-Romani racism
Because it's not true that Roma don't want their kids to receive an education. I don't live in Romania but I work with an association that helps Romanian Romani immigrant children with school, their homework, etc. Romani parents are either enthusiastic, or are interested in the project but can't rely on it because they have other priorities. Once, a 6yo Romanian Romani girl I was helping didn't come because she had to help her parents earning money. This Romani family eventually dropped off the project because they were evicted from their home so they moved to another city to find a new place to live.
tl;dr, no I don't think it's systemic discrimination to use the State to get Romani kids to school. However the way it's being done right now is most often than not systemic discrimination, because Romani kids are often subjected to bullying at school, they are sometimes put in segregated classes, and lack of education is a reason that was/is still used to take Romani children away from their parents. It could be done differently, in a non oppressive way, but European countries all have a long history of anti-Romani racism that they are not addressing, and using the State to force Romani kids to school will not help build a relationship of trust between Roma and education professionals. Moreover, as long as European States don't fix their economic system, that has been marginalizing and impoverishing Roma for so long, no progress will be made, as poverty prevents children from receiving good quality education
Hope this helps!

#MICROSOFT WEBMATRIX BOILERPLATE FULL VERSION#
#MICROSOFT WEBMATRIX BOILERPLATE FULL VERSION#
You can freeload Microsoft WebMatrix and safe install the latest trial or new full version for Windows 10 (x32, 64 bit, 86) from the official site. works with many open source CMS packages including Joomla, WordPress and Acquia Drupal,.develop websites, publish and maintain open source applications,.WebMatrix enables developers to build websites using built-in templates or popular open-source applications, with full support for ASP.NET, PHP, Node.js and HTML5. Microsoft WebMatrix has the following characteristics: Microsoft WebMatrix is a discontinued cloud-connected website builder and HTML editor for Windows, geared towards web development. Microsoft WebMatrix will automatically adjust the settings so that you website both locally and on a web server can run. The platform can be used to open source applications like WordPress, Umbraco CMS, Joomla, nopCommerce and Moodle to install. You can also view the site from a server to your computer download. Microsoft WebMatrix is a free development platform to help you get easy an own website can create, publish and maintain. With Microsoft WebMatrix you do these settings do not adjust to the application on a server or locally can run. Of course i could just buy or pay someone to make the new site. When you use an open source application in a server room to install it you must delve into the configuration of the server and the database. all the time knowing that what i do is compatible. i dont need to mess around i can play with something that works and grow it. i am only interested in IE and Google.įor example. and i can test my pages and use input from those sources. webdesigner and web matrix offer me the means to use two fundamental and supported methods by global companies. since this is a stand alone web based function just like krpano using things like this to add music links.and a visualization intrigues me. I am interested in things that folks do with html5. In the past i have done it myself using just microsoft word. i need a good base to explore the possibilities of html5, and a good well supported architecture like webmatrix or webdesigner gives me the means to create new pages and experiment with the results before i put them online. Thanks for the quick reply, virtual pete. I actually got this blog looking nice on mobile devices back in 2006 when nobody was mobile except doctors and, well, all of us techies here on the blogs. since right now i am paying for a web site that dont work and is pretty much scrap. I really enjoy working on and thinking about mobile websites.Theres something about making an experience great on a pocket supercomputer phone that is so much more satisfying than a desktop. I just post today to see what knowledgeable folks can advise. So i am interested in the templates here that show tours and map linking. when i create a source page with krpano i can use it in webmatrix. that krpano will at least work with microsoft web matrix. so maybe the entry and return pano is a map. with ones finger or mouse - i want the pages of my web site to be the panorama. just like one scans on a tablet to find apps. In effect what i want to create is a flat panorama for the start page. Ive been put off using google chromes Web designer because it would not load any existing pages i have. since many of my panoramas are linked by exact place or location or time. It includes IIS Developer Express (a development Web server), ASP.NET (a Web framework), and SQL Server Compact (an embedded database). WebMatrix is everything you need to build Web sites using Windows. In effect i think i want to create a tour. ASP.NET Web Pages with Razor Syntax is a web framework and part of WebMatrix. and all my panoramas now sitting on flickr. and that i can use with microsoft webmatrix or google webdesign to create a new website from the old. wont be denied access on security for most users. looking at what i can use with html5 that is IE and Chrome compatible. The panoramic pics cant be viewed now because IE denies Ptviewer operation. In the family tree section i use a very big picture with hyperlinks. I have a website in dire need of refurbishment.

warnings: uhhh implied sexual content at the end but it is like barely there ok
commission for @ muppetz (it wont let me tag for some reason ugh) thank you so much for commissioning me!
a/n: this ended up being way longer than the word count requested but that’s no one’s fault but my own because i dont know when to shut the FUCK up anyways i hope this one shot is enjoyable lol
content under the cut!
You literally never thought that you would ever end up in this situation.
"C'mon babe, why the long face? Ya nervous or somethin'?"
"No." You purse your lips, huffily averting your gaze from your boyfriend's smirking face.
"Ya don't needa be like that." Atsumu drapes an arm across your shoulder, pecking your forehead as a sort of reassurance. "No one could ever hate this cute face, after all." He accentuates his words by squishing your cheeks, drawing out a yelp of protest from you.
"If you keep talking like this, you're gonna jinx it, you know." Your words come out softer and more hesitant than intended, and you startled even yourself at how utterly anxious you sound.
"Yer gonna be fine. Trust me, I wouldn’t take just any random girl to meet my folks, and they’re well aware of that." Atsumu ruffles your hair.
"I just... I hope they're not..." You pause for a moment, trying to find the right word. "...Disappointed?" You grimace when your boyfriend suddenly throws his head back in such voracious laughter, that you swear you saw a few hysterical tears.
"Are ya jokin'?" he all but wheezes. "Yer the libero for the national volleyball team, for God's sake. If anythin', I'd be the disappointment here."
"'Tsumu — " you start, but he interrupts you by pulling you in for a comforting hug.
"Don't worry yer pretty head anymore, got it?" he murmurs into your ear. "Yer wonderful, and I couldn't be luckier to have ya. My parents are gonna love ya. Honest."
A small smile tugs at your lips as you reach around his back to hug him back. "I hope so."
A year ago, if someone had told you that you would end up having Miya Atsumu introduce you to his family as his girlfriend, you would've laughed until your ass fell off and your stomach ached like no tomorrow.
You had been absolutely overjoyed when you were chosen for the women's national volleyball team, and you were so eager to start playing with your new teammates that you had decided to attend the national team's training camp without hesitation despite your recent knee injury at the time. However, you completely overlooked the fact that you would be working with the men's team as well, which would've been completely fine... if not for Miya Atsumu.
When you first met Atsumu, he was the cocky, annoying little shit of a setter for the Japanese men's national volleyball team, someone who you were stuck training with for the next two weeks.
You still remember the first words he ever spoke to you.
"The hell are ya doin' there, lil libero? If yer not gonna be able to save the easiest ones, then ya might as well sub out."
You also remember the first thought you had about him.
'Prick.'
And the first words you spoke to him.
"Can't you look at this — " You had gestured angrily to the knee brace supporting you. "And take a fucking hint, or what?"
He had sent some unapologetic, biting words right back at you and that marked the beginning of the time you have had the utmost pleasure of knowing Miya Atsumu. The two of you had bickered rather relentlessly (not too unlike literal children, despite the both of you being well into your twenties) throughout the rest of the camp, and by the end, for some unknown reason through some unknown method, he ended up with your number.
He started texting you constantly, and as much as you tried to convince your foolish self that he was just a nuisance, you found yourself responding to his messages like an idiot anyway. Throughout the next few months, you learned that Atsumu was far more than just his overly confident demeanor; he's genuinely kind-hearted, down-to-earth, and actually kinda hilarious. And eventually — neither of you quite knew how — the two of you were staring across a table at each other in a fancy restaurant as if daring the other to blink and lose an unspoken game, on a first date that neither of you thought would go as well as it did.
A little over eight months into your happy and committed relationship, Atsumu suggested that the two of you go to his hometown in Hyogo for a weekend to visit his family. You had immediately agreed with his idea, excited to meet his parents and twin brother in person, but now that he's leading you out of your shared hotel room to go do just that, your stomach's knotting uncomfortably.
Atsumu's been nothing but supportive and comforting ever since you started showing that you're nervous to meet his family. He was always happy to provide a never-ending flow of cheesy words and warm hugs, but you're genuinely afraid of embarrassing yourself. You want to impress his family and not have them see you as undeserving of their son, who you truly care for from the bottom of your heart. Atsumu is your first long-term boyfriend, and you would jump off your roof if you managed to mess anything up during the visit to his folks.
The taxi ride to Atsumu's childhood home doesn't do much to soothe your nerves either, with you fiddling with your fingers the entire way through while Atsumu makes small talk with the driver. As the cab pulls up to the address that your boyfriend had provided earlier, you instinctively clench your fists so hard that you think you might bleed.
A look of alarm crosses Atsumu's face as he notices that you're still just as anxious as you were when you left the hotel earlier. He thought that the ride to his parents' house would give you some time to cool down, but that had clearly not been the case. His eyebrows furrow in concern as he reaches over to grab one of your hands in his, giving you a comforting squeeze.
"Just breathe, darlin'." He runs his thumb over the shallow nail marks embedded in your skin. "If it means anything to ya, my mom's a huge fan of yers. For real. I didn't tell ya this before, but she's especially excited to meet ya. Keeps yappin' to me askin' how I pulled ya." You flush.
"R-Really?" you stammer, wide-eyed.
"Really. Who wouldn't be a fan yers?" Atsumu grins, pecking your nose. "See, ya got nothin' to be worried about. Just chill out and be yerself, 'kay?" You nod, some of the tension releasing from your shoulders as Atsumu leads you out of the cab, hand still clutching yours.
You're feeling a little better now, though your thoughts are still running through your head at the pace of a mile a minute as you watch Atsumu pay the taxi driver and thank him for the ride. Atsumu's mother is my fan? Your ears start to heat up. I hope I can somehow live up to her expectations of me…
“Ma! We’re here!” Atsumu shouts at the top of lungs approximately one second after simultaneously ringing the doorbell and obnoxiously pounding on the door.
“Comin’, comin’, ya brat!” A feminine, yet strong voice hollers in return. You freeze on the spot, your mind going blank once again. It’s happening. It’s finally happening.
The door aggressively swings open, revealing a middle-aged woman wearing a pink apron and carrying a wooden spatula in her hand. Her dark hair is pulled into a bun away from her face and her eyes, the same chocolate brown as Atsumu’s, are gleaming with annoyance. She briefly glares at Atsumu for his rowdy entrance before her gaze catches onto you, and her entire face lights up with excitement.
“(L/N) (Y/N)! It’s so nice to finally meet you!”
“M-Mrs. Miya,” you stammer out, trying your best to smile but you’re sure it looked more like a wince. “It’s good to m-meet you t-too.”
"Aw, hey now. What happened to my feisty girl? It's not like ya to be so lame.” Atsumu lays his forearm on your head, effectively using you as an armrest. You jerk away, scowling.
“Shut the hell up, asshat,” you snap without thinking. About half a second later, regret slams into your body like a truck. Oh, shit. I just called my boyfriend an asshat in front of his mother. You were about to run off into the streets in utter embarrassment if not for Mrs. Miya letting out a hearty laugh way too similar to her son’s and linking arms with you.
“No need to look so scared, dear. I don’t bite. And it’s good to see that yer willin’ to put this brat in his place.”
“Ma!” Atsumu whines, pouting petulantly.
“Yer really losin’ out with him though, y’know,” Mrs. Miya whispers to you as she leads you into the house by your arm. “I’ve got another son; Atsumu’s twin. Osamu’s quite well-behaved. If yer just likin’ the looks, he would be the better option.” You can tell she’s joking by the merry twinkle in her eyes, but instead of humoring her you end up shaking your head with a quiet chuckle.
“I think Atsumu’s perfectly good for me.” The two of you pause to watch Atsumu practically sprint into the kitchen, and a few moments later there’s an agitated yell as proof that he was on his way to annoy his brother. You smile. “He makes me really happy, Mrs. Miya. You raised him well.”
“Aren’t ya just the sweetest thing?” Mrs. Miya coos at you, pinching your left cheek. “And so pretty too. I swear ya could probably clobber my brat at volleyball as well. You and yer teammate… ah, Miss Amanai? The two of you always caught my eye while I watched yer matches. Make sure ya let her know.”
You blush a little and thank her, making a mental note to tell Kanoka that. She’d probably find it extremely amusing, especially since she was the one who had given Atsumu your number in the first place (which, as you had found out months later, was because he had practically groveled at her feet multiple times. Dumbass.)
“Come meet my husband, (Y/N).” Mrs. Miya leads you into the living room, where an older, balding man with rimmed glasses is quietly flipping through a book. He gives a start upon hearing your entrance, clearing his throat and sitting up straight.
“Ah, hello!” Mr. Miya greets you. “I’ve heard a lot about you! From both Atsumu and the missus.”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Miya.” You nod once in a respectful manner.
“It’s about time that he settled down with a nice girl. Make sure ya keep him in line though, got it, missy?”
“Of course I w — “ you start, but Mrs. Miya is already dragging you towards the kitchen. You smile apologetically at Mr. Miya, and he just laughs and waves.
“Osamu’s makin’ dinner right now. He is such a hardworkin’ and dedicated boy. Both of them are, really,” she rambles. “But Osamu sure can cook a mean meal. He and his twin always used to fight over who’s the better cook. But I betcha Atsumu hasn’t touched the stove since he left for university years ago.”
You debate telling her that Atsumu had made quite a decent meal for the two of you just last week to celebrate your eight-month anniversary (which you hadn’t even known he remembered), but before you can formulate the right words in your head you’re suddenly shoved in the path of an unfamiliar man. Well, not really unfamiliar. He has the same face as the boyfriend who you see every day, after all.
Miya Osamu is (as expected) the literal carbon copy of Atsumu; same strong eyebrows, same hooded eyes, same angular jawline. The only thing that easily sets them apart is his black, ruffled mess of hair in stark contrast with your boyfriend’s bleached blonde.
Mrs. Miya pulls Atsumu away from the two of you, demanding that he help her with some mundane task, leaving you and Osamu by yourselves in the kitchen.
An easy smile graces his lips as he sticks out his hand. “Hey, I’m Osamu. Honored to finally meet the famous (L/N) (Y/N).” You smile back, gripping his hand firmly and shaking.
“And I’m honored to meet the famous ‘Samu.” At your words, Osamu bursts out laughing.
“Man, I don’t really let a lot of people call me that, y’know? But if yer gonna be part of the family, you could be an exception.”
“F-Family?” You pause, your sudden confidence dissipating as fast as it had come.
“Naw, no pressure. Just sayin’.” Osamu casually continues with his task of shaping onigiri. “I can tell he really likes ya.” You raise your eyebrows in curiosity without entirely meaning to. “I mean, we’re twins, it’s like a sixth sense. And also he never shuts up about ya when we text or call.”
“I hope you’re hearing all good things?” you quip jokingly.
“Oh, for sure. If I didn’t know who you were I’d think that he’s talkin’ about the reincarnation of a goddess with the way he talks.”
“Seriously?” You snort, and Osamu just laughs.
“So I’d like to ask ya the favor of continuin’ to take care of him. Guy’s just a huge ass baby. I can obviously see that yer good for him, though. He wouldn’t have stayed for so long if he wasn’t serious.”
The two of you briefly glance at Atsumu helping his mother set the table. They’re currently debating over whether Atsumu should go back to his natural hair color and “Stop makin’ yer hair look like fuckin’ straw!”
“He is a huge ass baby,” you start seriously, causing Osamu to smirk. “But he’s an honest and good person, so I’m not too bothered. I’ll take care of him, promise.”
“Thanks.” Osamu sighs, glancing rather fondly in his brother’s direction. “He’s an asshole, but at least he’s a redeemable asshole. I’m glad he’s finally got someone around to take care of him. Makes us all feel a little more relieved since he’s away from home.”
You suddenly feel warm inside.
Atsumu had been right; you truly didn’t have anything to be afraid of. The Miyas have been nothing but kind and welcoming so far, and they even seem to already have a positive opinion of you.
“Can ya help me carry these to the table?” Osamu holds out a plate of freshly-made onigiri.
“Ah, sure!” you accept hurriedly, taking the plate from him with careful hands. You take slow, calculated steps towards the dining room; the last thing you want is to accidentally drop any of the food.
Atsumu and his parents are already waiting in the dining room, and they all look up at you expectantly as you approach them with the onigiri plate in hand.
“Why, thank you, dear!” Mrs. Miya chirps. “Helpin’ Osamu out! How sweet of ya — “
She’s cut off as disaster strikes.
You trip on your last step to the table, causing a single onigiri to tumble off the plate and towards the floor. Your mouth drops open wide as you practically slam the plate down on the table and in practical slow-motion, watch the onigiri plummet down, down, down —
Then you dive.
You dive towards the floor, in the same manner as you do when you’re digging for a volleyball.
And you catch the rice ball in one hand, laying flat on your stomach. You have a moment of mental celebration; yes, you caught the onigiri! Then you realize that you look like a fucking idiot as you lay face down with one hand extended and clutching a rice ball like it’s your lifeline.
There’s a few seconds of agonizing silence.
You want the earth to swallow you whole.
There’s no way that you could ever show your face in front of Atsumu’s family or even Atsumu himself now; God you’ve never been more embarrassed in your life, and over an onigiri too —
“Nice receive!” Atsumu suddenly bellows, clapping his hands boisterously. “(L/N) does it again!”
His brother, who’s standing a few feet behind you with a platter of chicken skewers, pumps his free fist into the air and joins in with a “Hell yeah!”
Mr. Miya starts laughing the same loud Miya laugh that you’ve heard way too many times today, and his sons soon follow suit. Shame is still flooding your body, but now you’re realizing just how ridiculous the whole situation is and you resist the urge to smile at your own stupidity. As soon as Mrs. Miya recovers from her initial surprise, she comes to help you up, and you can tell that she’s doing her best not to laugh as well.
“Are ya okay, dear?” she briefly inspects you for any sign of injury.
“All good here, Mrs. Miya.” You smile, genuinely and comfortably, as Atsumu comes behind you to wrap his arms around you and peck your cheek, still chuckling with a small note of pride. “All good.”
-
“See?” Atsumu’s smug as hell as the two of you enter the hotel elevator on your way up to your room. Osamu had dropped you off so there would be no need for another cab. “I told ya that they’d fuckin’ love ya.”
“Why’re you rubbing in something like this?” You scoff, dodging when he tries to pull you into a crushing hug.
“Because I was right.” He smirks. You roll your eyes to heaven.
“Well, you can’t blame me for being nervous! I still can’t believe that none of them got upset at me for diving for a rice ball at the dinner table.” You groan, hiding your face in your hands.
“Nah, why the hell would they? It was cool. Yer cool, Miss National Team Libero.” He laughs, reaching for you again and this time you let him bring you close to him. “Besides, like I said before, who could ever resist yer pretty lil face?”
“You’re a hopeless asshole.” You sigh, and Atsumu of course just chuckles, his laughter vibrating against your ear as you press yourself into his chest.
“I’m yer hopeless asshole.” He pecks the top of your head. “C’mon, babe. It’s our floor.”
You hadn’t realized how tired you are until the two of you enter your hotel room and you see the large, inviting bed. You practically jump onto it, burying your face into a pillow. “Goodnight…” you mumble sleepily.
“Ya gotta go shower and brush yer teeth first, idiot.” A pillow smacks you in the side of the head, and you leap up with a cry of surprise. “Damn, don’t be so loud, sweetheart. It’s late, y’know. Don’t wanna get a noise complaint like last night.” You turn bright red at the reminder.
“Shut u-up,” you retort. “I told you that we shouldn’t have tried to do it on the balcony.”
“It was fun, though, y’know! An experience. And ya sounded like you were enjoyin’ it, anyway.” He chucks another pillow at you, and you yelp as it nails you in the face. “Now get yer cute ass over here, we’re gonna shower.”
“You can’t make me.” You stubbornly lay back down and close your eyes, and you had peace for all but ten seconds before Atsumu’s plucking you off the bed and settling you into his arms bridal-style. Your eyes shoot open in shock and you flail desperately. “Put me down!”
“No can do. I’m not sleepin’ next to yer stinky self tonight, darlin’.” Atsumu laughs as you scowl.
“The floor’s always open for you,” you snap.
“Aw, yer no fun.” He steals a kiss from you in the blink of an eye; the only evidence of there being contact at all is a tingling feeling on your lips. You feel your heart melt just a little more.
“Fine. After we shower, we go straight to bed. Got it?”
“ And brush our teeth. Yer mornin’ breath is bad enough.” He lets out quite an unpleasant squawk when you smack him lightly in the shoulder. “Alright, sorry, sorry.”
“Is this just your excuse to see me naked?” you tease him as he sets you down on the bathroom counter before immediately removing his shirt to reveal his muscled torso. He grins wolfishly at you and shrugs.
“And if it is?” Atsumu’s eyes are zeroed in on the small hickey he had left right below your collarbone last night, which is now visible thanks to the way your shirt had rumpled after he had practically manhandled you into the bathroom.
“Well, I won’t complain.” You follow his gaze down to your neck, before glancing back up to meet his eyes and raise an eyebrow at him. “If you’re going to make it worth my time.”
About an hour later, the two of you are lying in bed together, effectively tuckered out and finally ready to sleep. Atsumu’s strong arms are wrapped tightly around you like a protective cocoon as you snuggle your face against his chest. The slow, steady rhythm of his heartbeat rocks you towards dreamland, and all the worries from the past day are slipping away.
“Hey, ‘Tsumu,” you mumble against his chest. He grunts tiredly.
“Yeah, sweetheart?”
There’s a small silence.
“...Thanks,” you finally say after a beat.
“Huh? For what?” he quips.
“For being patient with me today, even though I was so nervous. And for taking me to meet your family.” You crane your head to look up at him, contentment adorning your features. “I had a good time. I hope they don’t hate the idea of me coming around again sometime.”
Atsumu smiles that familiar smile, the smile filled with affection that others rarely get to see. His eyes are almost half-mooned with joy, his lips are curved up in genuine adoration, and his cheeks are flushed with color. You saw this smile for the first time when he set an incredibly low ball at training camp, earning the awe of everyone in the room, including yourself. Never did you think that you would ever have this expression of pure love aimed at you, nor did you think it would fill you with so much happiness every time you had the blessing of seeing it. He says nothing for a while, suddenly resorting to trailing kisses all over your face. You let him, closing your eyes peacefully as he showers you with his love, ending with one final peck to your nose.
“I'm sure they'd like to have you around again.”
And if Atsumu continues playing his cards right, he thinks there might be a possibility that in the next five or so years, you could truly become part of the family with a glittering ring on your finger.
Only time will tell if that possibility will ever come to fruition, but as you tilt your head up to give him one last kiss on the lips and whisper those three words to him, he knows for sure that he wants to continue building towards that future with you.
“I love you too.” He lets his eyes fall shut as well, before resting his chin atop your head and savoring the warmth of your body against his.
Only time will tell.

I wasn’t planning on saying much (or anything) about the MAGA hat confrontation situation, but since the story not only won’t go away, but is getting much worse by the hour, I’ll drop my two cents here, if for no other reason than posterity.
First, Laura Wagner’s take at Deadspin is really the only one that matters. There’s a lot of effort being put into convincing us that our lying eyes are lying, that the unwavering smirk this kid was giving was anything other than pure white male malice. But as anyone who’s ever been on the receiving end of that particular facial expression knows, it rarely signals anything other than “passive” aggression.
This expression — let’s call it the “smirk-and-stare” — is learned body language that only certain kinds of people can get away with performing — and thus you tend to only see it with those people: that is, smug white boys and men, and in particular smug white boys and men who revel in the safety that their observing friends provide them. I’m a white man myself, but as a kid I was always on the low end of most social ladders I clung to, which meant that boys higher up — rarely those at the top, though, almost always the ones at the “top of the middle” who were insecure about their status and trying to climb higher — these boys would find plenty of reasons to give me the smirk-and-stare. Whether it was because I stood up for myself when guys would taunt me, or because I dressed funny and thus made myself an easy target, a number of guys (whose names I still remember), all back when we were 13-17 or so, found reason at one point or another to step in front of me, get in my face, smile like there was nothing wrong, stare me down, just waiting for me to “do something.” This stuff never happened in private, always in public. And it never happened when these kids didn’t have backup (though it certainly did when I didn’t).
So as someone who’s been on the receiving end of this performance many times, and as someone who studies body language professionally, I can say that no amount of “extra context” will change what this kid was doing. Sure, context absolutely matters! But in all the videos, the context is super clear, and supports our initial assessments. In this case, as in basically all others, the smirk-and-stare is almost always used to demonstrate two different things at once: to the “victim,” who is always figured as somehow inferior (in this case Mr. Philips), it’s meant to signal that the person doing the smirk-and-stare somehow has the up on you, that you’re being “put in your place,” all while providing a sufficient amount of plausible deniability through the smile; to the real audience, in this case the kid’s MAGA-behatted “boys, it’s meant to signal that the performer is, in fact, a tough guy willing to do some work for the tribe, and thus through the performance he should gain some status in the group as a result.
But of course I don’t need to go through all of this to get to that point. If you watch these videos, and if you’re not willfully trying to muddy the water, what’s going on is plain as day.
This reminds me of a second point, one I make in my introduction to language and culture class. Twenty-five years ago, my late mentor Chuck Goodwin published an analysis of how the Rodney King video was critically (and successfully) dissected by the defense team in the trial of the officers who were recorded beating King. Goodwin’s piece is brilliant for many reasons, but one of them is that it demonstrates how “seeing” things recorded on supposedly “objective” technologies, like video-recordings, is extremely susceptible to manipulation by powerful institutions who have an interest in convincing you that your eyes are lying. When the Rodney King video was first broadcast around the world in 1991, consensus quickly settled on King’s being the victim of police brutality. When I play the video for my students today, most of whom have never seen it, they all pretty much unanimously see the same thing. But what Goodwin shows in his article is how the defense team used the video itself, the supposedly objective record of the events, to undermine the jurors’ common-sense understanding of what was going on. By carefully and meticulously re-describing the beating in a way that aligned with a “professional,” and thus completely acceptable, set of actions on the part of the officers, the defense team was able to convince the jurors that what the officers saw on the night of the beating, and what the rest of the world sees on the video, are completely different — and that what we all see, in the end, is less real than what the officers saw in the moment. This resulted in the jurors delivering acquittals, which resulted in the LA uprising of 1992.
Goodwin initially got some pushback for his analysis because some people read him as denying the racism of the jurors, cops, lawyers, and the system by focusing on the seemingly more anodyne features of language, interaction, and lawyerly practice. But what has become clear, especially in light of the video-recorded murders of Black men that have circulated over the last 5 or 6 years, is that these explanations — racism and institutional manipulation of vision — are not separate, but linked. Indeed, what we find over and over again, including in the MAGA boys case, is that people embedded in and committed to entrenched power structures will always mobilize to protect those power structures by trying to convince everyone else that what they see, even if what they see is as plain as day, is a lie. This isn’t antithetical to racism, it’s a fundamental technique of institutionalized racism, and other forms of discrimination. That’s what we’ve seen happening with the MAGA kids since the first video surfaced, all aided and abetted by powerful media organizations like CNN and NBC. It is one of the most clear examples of white supremacy—in the sense of elevating and protecting whiteness above all else—that I’ve probably ever seen.
And you know what? This technique works. It works because those who employ it do so largely in bad faith, cynically crying out that their “enemies” are the ones manipulating the images, while everyone else argues exasperatedly, and in good faith, that what we see in the video speaks for itself (I mean, it’s what I did above, right?). Meanwhile, media institutions and social media platforms amplify the bad faith by simply “raising questions” that would never be raised if the boys in question were Black or Latino, and all of a sudden the broader white establishment is forcing us all to perform a cynical piece of kabuki theater about a situation that was, without any doubt, clearly a racist act.
All of this raises the more general problem of good faith and bad faith in contemporary politics, which is much more complicated than I want to get into now, but what matters most, I think, is acknowledging that in order to fight against these sorts of techniques, we need to recognize them for what they are, and identify their “species” when we see them: that is, cases where widespread consensus sees one version of events in circulating video-recordings, and a small but vocal and influential minority representing obvious power structures works the refs to claim that what we see is not, in fact, what we see. Once we get a grip on how this general phenomenon works, we’ll be better equipped to fight back.

How Should We Address The Uss History Of Slavery And Racism Heres What Americans Think
Are White Republicans Really More Racist Than White Democrats?
Reddit
Discussion of racial issues has intensified in recent years, with vigorous debates emerging at the national and local level over once obscure academic arguments such as critical race theory. At the core of much of the discussion is how we should confront Americas history of slavery and racism. As this debate continues, a recently released report from the Pew Research Center sheds new light on the question.
Here are the core findings: Although 48% of Americans think that the country has made real progress on race over the past 50 years, 50% say that a lot more needs to be done, 57% believe that whites benefit from advantages that Black Americans lack, and 53% view increased attention to slavery and racism as positive for society.
Beneath these aggregate statistics, there are significant differences among different groups in the population, mainly along racial, partisan, age, and educational lines. For example, 46% of whites think that giving increased attention to slavery and racism is a good thing, compared to 75% of Blacks, 59% of Hispanics, and 64% of Asians. The partisan gap is large: 78% of Democrats favor highlighting slavery and racism, versus just 25% of Republicans. Young adults are 19 percentage points more likely to approve than seniorsno doubt a reflection of the fact that, as we know from the recent census results, younger Americans are more diverse than older Americans. The same gap divides the most- and least-educated Americans.

It also helps to explain why Donald Trump still has such a hold on the GOP.
Watch: Axios’ race and justice reporter Russell Contreras and managing editor for politics Margaret Talev discuss the poll’s findings on “Axios on HBO” on HBO and HBO Max.
Details: Black Americans are the most dissatisfied or worried about the status quo on issues from policing to employment to politics.
57% of white Americans say that “the events of the past year have made me realize there is still a lot of racism in our country,” but that breaks down as 35% of white Republicans and 93% of white Democrats. By comparison, 80% of Black Americans agreed with that view.
The poll also examined racial and ethnic disparities around policing and the criminal justice system, which Axios’ David Nather unpacked as part of our Hard Truths series.
This same split between white Democrats and Republicans can be seen across most of those questions as well.
Not A Generalization But The Majority Of Racists Are Republican
OK, as current proof of my point, http://img3.allvoices.com/thumbs/image/609/480/95031869-vote-romney.jpgSorry for the long link, but it completely proves my point. RACIST!Also, it is not uncommon for people to hold up highly offensive posters at rallies, speeches etc. For example, one said ‘Impeach the half-breed Muslim’ . Tell me again that that isn’t racist. I also want to make the point that NOT ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS! PEOPLE SHOULDN”T CARE IF THEIR PRESIDENT IS MUSLIM ANYWAYS!!!!!!!!! I actually know many Muslims and they are awesome and some of the nicest people on earth . Just because some Muslims screwed up doesn’t mean that every Muslim is the same way. Don’t pull the argument about slavery, the parties have morphed and current examples are better.

Democrats Or Republicans Who Do You Think The Happier Group Is Overall
Based on my unofficial research and that of some of our readers, the Republicans and Conservative Democrats appear to be the winners. Why do I say that?; Well, just by their demeanor. During interviews they generally seem to be the calmer, more respectable of the two. Republicans certainly arent perfect, and they certainly dont always have the right idea or say or do the right thing.; And, they tend to exaggerate a bit .
Analysis: A Reckoning On Racism Not For Many Leaders Of Gop
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NEW YORK If the nation is in the midst of a historic reckoning on racism, most leaders of the Republican Party are not participating.
On the day last week that a jury convicted the police officer who killed George Floyd, Republicans in Washington focused much of their energy on condemning the longest-serving Black woman in Congress. In the days since, former President Donald Trump attacked what he called the racist rants of basketball icon LeBron James. And some of Trumps staunchest supporters on Capitol Hill are considering forming a new group that initially planned to champion Anglo-Saxon political traditions.
Beyond simple rhetoric, Republican state lawmakers are pushing forward with new voting restrictions that disproportionately affect people of color and are resisting legislation designed to prevent police brutality.
The moves reflect a stark political reality: As America grows more diverse, the Republican Party continues to be led almost entirely by white people, particularly men, who cater to an overwhelmingly white base. And despite fierce criticism from civil rights leaders and growing concern from business leaders who are traditional allies, many Republicans see no problem.
Its unfortunate that more in the Republican Party are not willing to stand up for what I would define as creating a more just and humane system, Martin Luther King III told The Associated Press. It makes you wonder if they really even care.
Passage remains uncertain, however.

More Than Half Of Republicans Think Minorities Are Favored Over Whites In The United States
At its heart, the Black Lives Matter movement is focused on the ways in which racism is embedded in American law enforcement, resulting in a disproportionately large number of deaths of Black people at the hands of police. This idea that racism may be embedded in governmental or social systems is the crux of critical race theory. Racism, the theory postulates, isnt simply a function of racist people acting out against others because of their race. Instead, some of racisms most significant effects are felt from long-standing systems that have integrated, often invisibly, race-specific differences.
That the Black Lives Matter movement has been so successful at drawing attention to issues of race and racism, though, means that its much easier to notice complaints about systemic racism than it is to notice the racism itself. It means that there are good-faith but clumsy efforts to draw attention to issues of race that have little to do with critical race theory but which become a focal point of aggravation. It also means that groups that benefit from systemic advantages mostly White Americans may feel that they are the ones being criticized. If you dont see the purported racism but feel that youre being held to account for it, frustration would naturally result.
In 2017, fewer than half of Republicans said that minorities are favored over Whites. Now, a majority say they are.
But When You Watch The Republican In The Media Being Attacked The Majority Tend To Handle It With More Grace Then The Majority Of The Democrats
I dont think its because the Republicans have more money because the Democrats tend to be the wealthier group.; The majority of the richest people in the world are Democrats or Liberals.; Yet, they sure dont look like a happy group of folks .; I think a lot of people who are rich were their happiest when they were working hard coming up through the ranks and earning their money.; I also think sometimes the social issues they get caught up in when they become wealthy can be frustrating causing many people to lose their tolerance over time.

Why Did The Debate Become A National Controversy
Arguably, a large part of the debate has been inflamed and muddled by the activism of a conservative documentary filmmaker named Christopher Rufo.
As detailed in an extensive New Yorker profile, Rufo built a cottage industry exposing government racial awareness training across the US. While doing so, he discovered the academic writing behind it – and set out to raise awareness about what he saw as an organised effort to “re-engineer the foundation of human psychology and social institutions through the new politics of race”.
He labelled all of the various episodes and instances he was cataloguing as examples of “critical race theory” in practice, even though the academic discipline was not always an exact fit for what he was documenting.
“The goal is to have the public read something crazy in the newspaper and immediately think ‘critical race theory’,” he wrote . “We have decodified the term and will recodify it to annex the entire range of cultural constructions that are unpopular with Americans.”
The term, he told the New York Times, made for the “perfect villain” because it sounded academic, elitist, racist and divisive.
How far have African Americans come since 1960s?
Legislative as well as grassroots rebukes of public-school teaching labelled as CRT have cropped up around the country.
Because it is a concept, not a stand-alone subject, opponents have assembled lists to help parents identify what they see as harmful terms and topics in the classroom.
What Do Supporters And Opponents Say
Who Do YOU Think Is More Racist, White Democrats or White Republicans?
There’s a cartoon that circulates among critical race theory supporters showing children, one tall and one short, trying to peer over a fence to watch a baseball game. Equality, the illustration explains, is giving children the same sized box to stand on – with one child still unable to see over the obstacle. Equity, on the other hand, gives the shortest child the most boxes, so that everyone can see the field.
The idea of equity is to provide more to those who are perceived to have the greatest disadvantage in order to achieve better equality of outcome and to compensate for the historical wrongs of discrimination and systemic racism.
“A key part of the argument of critical race theory is that racism is endemic to American society because of the way society is structured,” says Lynn. Teaching with the framework addressed issues that “people have been trying to do for a long time to correct some of the problems we have in schools” he says.
It’s a view that animated affirmative action programmes – race-based preferences in hiring and college admissions – in the past, and currently influences everything from road repair in Oakland, California, to the Biden administration’s vaccine outreach efforts.
He says the idea of “equity” is more than just policy prescriptions, it’s about “abandoning the broad political philosophy that has traditionally held this country together”.

How Is Critical Race Theory Taught
How – and even whether – CRT is being taught is the subject of contention that lies at the heart of the current debate.
As a curriculum subject, critical race theory is largely the purview of university law schools and graduate programmes.
The concepts, however, have influenced historians, journalists and educators in school districts across the US who say they want to do more to teach the public about the US struggles with discrimination rooted in race.
One high-profile effort, the New York Times magazine’s 1619 Project, was a series of essays and articles that sought to “reframe the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very centre of our national narrative”, per the paper’s description.
It received mixed reviews, including sometimes sharp criticism from historians who disputed its accuracy.
How the concepts translate into a public-school curriculum and teacher training have become the flashpoint of the CRT controversy.
An elementary school in Cupertino, California, for instance, asked third-graders to label their own power and privilege in an “identity map”. At least 30 schools recommended that students should read Not My Idea, a children’s book that called racism “a white person’s problem and we are all caught up in it”.
Instances like these have led to what has become an increasingly intense criticism.
Reagan’s Neshoba County Fair States’ Rights Speech
Aistrup argued that one example of Reagan field-testing coded language in the South was a reference to an unscrupulous man using food stamps as a “strapping young buck”. When informed of the offensive connotations of the term, Reagan defended his actions as a nonracial term that was common in his Illinois hometown. Ultimately, Reagan never used that particular phrasing again. According to Ian Haney Lopez, the “young buck” term changed into “young fellow” which was less overtly racist: “‘Some young fellow’ was less overtly racist and so carried less risk of censure, and worked just as well to provoke a sense of white victimization”.

There Is A Lot Of Flawed Logic Here
Anyone who equates conservative or Republican with racist is the exact thing they are projecting on others. Plain and simple.Racism is simply the lumping together of large groups of people and claiming they all have the same traits. Anyone who says that all conservatives are racist is exactly the same. The most racist people I have ever met have been liberals. But that doesn’t mean I think all liberals are racists. That’s absurd. But you continue on making generalizations about people you don’t even know. That just shows how tolerant and open-minded you really are.
When Minorities Vote Gop The Media Smears Republicans As Racists
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The racism smears stink of fear.
Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.
In just one week, the Washington Post churned out two op-eds on the same theme, “The GOP is Now Just the Party of White Grievance” and “The Republican Party is Making Jim Crow Segregationists Proud”. The D.C. Democrat paper doesnt bother clarifying why Democrats from two generations ago would be thrilled that 1 in 5 black men voted for President Trump.
Ever since the election, the media has been beating its narrative drum with one message.
CNN howls that Republicans are the worst racists. The New York Times insists theyre even more racist than that. And MSNBC will counter that only white racists would vote Republican.
The most famous media exponent of the white grievance line is Stuart Stevens: Romneys senior strategist, who went on to join the Lincoln Project. Stevens claimed on MSNBC that the GOP, “went down a path to embrace white grievance as its core” and that, “of the Americans who are 15 years and under, the majority are nonwhite. They’re gonna be nonwhite when they turn 18 and start voting and that’s the end of the Republican party as we know it.”
My party obviously has an embarrassingly small share of African American votes, Senator Romney claimed after embarrassingly participating in a Black Lives Matter rally.

Americans Who Say A Lot Has To Be Done To Ensure Equal Rights For All Split Over Whether Many Laws And Institutions Need To Be Completely Rebuilt
While half of Americans say that a lot needs to be done to ensure equal rights for all Americans, those who express this view are divided over what needs to be done.
A quarter of Americans say that to ensure equal rights for all Americans, most U.S. laws and major institutions need to be completely rebuilt because they are fundamentally biased against some racial and ethnic groups. A nearly identical share says while there are many inequities in U.S. laws and institutions, the necessary changes can be made by working within the current systems.
Overall, nearly six-in-ten Black adults say that in order to ensure equality for all Americans regardless of their racial or ethnic backgrounds, most major U.S. institutions need to be completely rebuilt because they are fundamentally biased against some racial and ethnic groups, while just 19% say necessary changes to address inequities can be made within the current systems; about two-in-ten say little or nothing at all needs to be done. Among other racial and ethnic groups, smaller shares overall say a lot more needs to be done; those who do are roughly evenly split between those who say changes can be made within current systems and those who think most institutions need to be completely rebuilt because they are fundamentally biased. As a result, Black adults are significantly more likely than Hispanic , Asian American and White adults to say most institutions and laws need to be completely rebuilt.
Democrats Are The Real Racistsand Minority Americans Are Taking Note
Who are the real American patriots?
Who are the real racists?
These two questions will play a big role in the 2020 election.
The left is desperate to turn any traditional patriotic appeal into an act of racism. The left is desperate to smear Republicans and moderate Democrats as racists.
This past week, between Sunday and Tuesday, CNN and MSNBC reportedly used the word “racist” more than 1,100 times.
Part of this desperation is in the left’s inability to debate the facts and their hope that strong smears can shame their opponents out of broaching the argument.
Part of this desperation is in the left’s growing realization that President Donald Trump and the Republicans are beginning to attract minority support in a serious way.
The 2018 election was a watershed in the shift of minority voters toward Republicans.
Consider the example of the very left-wing African American female candidate for governor in Georgia, Stacy Abrams. She alienated enough African American males with her platforms that the Republican candidate got a significant percentage of African American male votes.
In Florida, a left-wing African American candidate for governor lost almost one out of five African American female votes because of his opposition to school choice.
All around the country, Trump is attracting Latinos to his rallies. There is strong support in the Latino community for job creation, income growth, small business prosperity and enforcing the law.

PES 2013 Blender Stadium Exporter Project 1.5 for Blender 2.67 Preview: I’ve updated script codes and new 1.5 version is ready for Blender v2.67. Hi everyone, i’ve been working on the new stadium exporter project for PES 2011 stadiums since long while ago, this project based on the new Blender version (old version blender dont update anymore, new version is updateable and it has great some. L.G.R Facemaker-Official Channel-Tutorials-All Programmes Links:-PES 13 dt0c Viewer Tool: Photoshop CS6.
Hi everyone, i’ve been working on the new stadium exporter project for PES 2011 stadiums since long while ago, this project based on the new Blender version (old version blender dont update anymore, new version is updateable and it has great some new features) this is similar tool like KONAMI’s one, i know they use MAYA and they made an exporter script with MEL (Maya Embedded script Language), i made that similar exporter tool with original features (multi-UV, optimized DDS textures etc..) for Blender, this is %100 original tool, thats mean if you have good skill/experience about Modeling, Texturing, UV Mapping and Lighting/Shading, your stadium will be same quality/filesize like original KONAMI’s stadiums with using this tool. There are over 3000 code lines in this script so im thinking release beta version for PES 2011 and test it with PES 2011, so fixing small bugs, some little improvements then make a stable version for PES 2012, read the below informations with carefully…
* You can work with ‘ngon’ for easy create-control model surface also it prevents creating useless small faces..
* You can work with real world size(metric) for your projects like AutoCAD,3dsMax..
Blender Pes 2013 Crack
* You can get realistic render your projects with new Cycles render engine also it supports GPU CUDA calculation for fastest rendering process…(it needs different material setup and only for render your project, no ‘bake texture’ feature yet)
It’s here for download and testing:
Exporter Tool v1.5 : Blender 2.67(32bit) : http://www.blender.org/dl/http://mir…-windows32.zip Blender 2.67(64bit) : http://www.blender.org/dl/http://mir…-windows64.zip
Tumblr media
Warnings/Suggestions: 1- Watch the 2 tutorials with carefully before anything to do… 2- This script is ‘beta’ version and it includes over 2500 code lines so far, of course there are some small bugs, need some little improvements, thats why i would not suggest that for newbie/beginner makers, ‘only professional advise, critics, bug report would welcome..’ 3- Be careful when you assigning/loading textures, %90 script errors about the textures,(choose right format, exact file path, saving before process)(texture filepath/filename must be ‘English characters’ only, no special characters) 4- Just keep in mind, if u see black textures in game, try to decrease texture filesize less than 1MB… 5- You can see warning/info messages in Blender with using dos console, click ‘Toggle System Console’ in Blender ‘Help’ menu, you can following process/informations with using blender console… 6- Uncheck ‘Remap Relative’ option in the menu of left side when saving your *.blend file. 7- Make sure all image files saved before converting to DDS. 8- Make sure all image files converting to DDS and created under temp folder before Exporting process. 9- Default output folder is ‘C:’ , if you dont select any output path, files will export to ‘C:’ root directory. 10- Sometimes script may give a warning message when exporting, check out all model parts and textures before exporting, so if script says warning like ‘…… file using another application….’ dont worry and try export again, it will export it at second try… 11- I would suggest add staff elements lastly (guards, cameraman, boxes etc..) , thats will saving time for you because script is calculating each mesh triangle when exporting, so there are 75000 triangles for staff elements, if u add them firstly, script is trying 75000 x calculate when exporting at every time, that will waste time, thats why i would not suggest that… 12- I would suggest use TGA (Targa) format for alpha textures, it supports alpha channel and it ‘keeps all color information’, PNG uses layer transparency instead of alpha channel and ‘it removes color informations’.. 13- You can use directly DDS textures with using NVIDIA DDS Plugin for Photoshop, but nevertheless click DDS convert before exporting, because DDS convert function is working like that: – ‘if texture format is TGA or PNG; convert them to DDS (this process take a little time) and create textures under temp folder with ‘corresponding texture ID (0x27..)’ – ‘if texture format is DDS; read directly DDS data , no converting to DDS (that will save time for you) and create textures under temp folder with ‘corresponding texture ID (0x27..)’ (link: http://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-t…dobe-photoshop)

Tumblr media

Five months of Trump: Muslims’ dreads were high but neighbours sat by them
Racial and religious strains have been high-pitched in Northampton County in accordance with the US election. But Muslim chairmen have also investigated a surge in support
In the third largest week of the first Ramadan of the Donald Trump presidency, seven Muslim class gathered for an iftar dinner to conclude the working day tight at a spacious home in a lately developed suburb of Easton, Pennsylvania.
Men and women congregated in separate areas. Children with iPhones and shiver spinners passed down a hallway and through the kitchen, where sweet years were piled on a sheet and metal tub of haleem, chicken biryani, crispy south Indian chicken 65, curry and rice sat warming. To suck, there was mango lassi and milk with rooh afsah and sparkler ocean and Coca-Cola.
After sunset, different groups had a snack, and then a devotion in the cellar, in a corner opposite a big Tv and a deep couch. At the end of the nighttime, Rizwan Butt, president of the Easton-Phillipsburg Muslim Association, shared a word that had been sending them to him at the mosque lately, following news reports of a petty cash theft by an unaffiliated maintenance worker.
The letter read TAGEND Hello Neighbor ,
I appreciated in the newspaper that a boy steal from you and I want to help supplant some of what was lost.
Be well , [ Signed ]
She cast a check, Butt said. I could sit here and tell you a hundred tales like that.
The fibs like that began to compile promptly in late January, Butt said, after Trump first announced his ban on travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries, a restriction eventually revised to six.
The reaction in general, since the election the reaction has been inconceivable, in a positive way, Butt said.
It was foreboding, he said of the travel ban. We all understood that this was just the opening up of a broader safarus with an ultimate objectives that was defined very well in the[ presidential] safarus, which was censoring more Muslims until something was figured out, whatever figured out is.

Bracing for potential conflict, the Muslim community instead detected new ways of communication opening, Butt said.
Everyone you can imagine came forward. I received characters at the mosque from neighbors, concerned parties from the community, saying: Were here to stand by you, we dont agrees with this, Butt said. Offers to come to the mosque to support the activities related to safety standards. One lady announced me up and told me that she would be willing to drive the women in local communities around so that they would feel safe. She would take time off work to do that.
When Butt firstly arrived in Easton 17 years ago, he said, there were perhaps five to 10 Muslim lineages that he knew of in the immediate place. Today there are about 100, and more than 1,000 Muslim families in the greater Lehigh Valley. More than 50% hail from south-east Asia, with additional contingents from Turkey and the Countries of the middle east, including refugees, and from the United States itself.

Can Trump certainly manufacture America great again? The people of Northampton County, Pennsylvania, twice voted for Barack Obama, but in 2016 they turned to Donald Trump. This sequence will report from the former sword district to be informed about what voters are hoping for, and question: can Trump deliver?

Muslim immigrants were moving into the region for similar reasons other parties do, Butt said quality of life and financial opportunity. Butt is a software business technologist who grew up in Bahrain. The vice-president of the Muslim association works in insurance. The multitude of the recent iftar festivity works in IT for Citigroup.
The quality-of-life metric had held some dents during the Trump campaign and afterwards, Butt acknowledged.
We have had some sisters, because theyre its most important symbols of Islam, as they walk around, in the way they garment, theyre foremost, he said. So theyve had some name-calling, honking on the road leading, situations of that kind. One sister who does deal herself more than others, she did get some bad observations when she was going out shopping.
But aside from that , no physical trauma, thank God. No ones come and sprayed graffiti on our mosques. Our mosques didnt receive any telephone call or letters of loathe, but people on the street did receive that.
It bubbled to the surface
The political rise of Donald Trump inflamed racial, ethnic and religious tensions across the United States. Northampton County, Pennsylvania, the panorama of a key Trump victory last-place November, was not immune. A times worth of horrid happens tells the tale.
Anecdotes and interviews link bully and name-calling in institutions, including utilize of the N-word. A cultivate of Confederate pennants last tumble, as the election approached. Verbal altercations at work, or sudden shows from co-workers of previously concealed racist sentiments. Deriding affirmations about immigrants. Taunting in the street of veiled Muslim dames. Swastika graffiti. Ugly discords of a kind that didnt previously seem to have happened.
Occasionally, such incidents shaped the working paper. In January, the district attorney charged a lily-white student at Saucon Valley high school with cyber-harassment and ethnic intimidation for sharing a video in which the student expended the N-word and reached gibes about aid the inspections and KFC while filming a black student eating chicken wings. In April, five alleged white supremacists were indicted following an FBI raid just across the county thread that officials said revealed a plot to exchange medicines, launder fund and stockpile weapons.
Over the past six months, the Guardian has been conducting interviews in Northampton County to interrogate the characteristics of Trumps four-point victory here last November. Northampton is one of three Pennsylvania districts to vote twice for Barack Obama before falling for Trump. But unlike the other two such districts, Luzerne and Erie, Northampton has been adding residents and jobs, and property costs are up, although the neighbourhood economy has not fully recovered from the closure 20 years ago of the behemoth Bethlehem steel manufacturing plant.
While social tensions here, as elsewhere across the United States, long predate Trump and his sneering hyperbole, they now are summarily attached to the president. Interrogations with dozens of district inhabitants confirm that Trumps presidential expedition, succes and slowly lengthening term have coincided with a perceived uptick in bias-motivated attempts and act.
You are learning more Confederate pennants in the Trump era. You do should be noted that, said Lance Wheeler, president of the Easton, Pennsylvania, section of the NAACP. Does race participate an issue? I do think so. I reckon Trump did get beings to get out and vote who reckoned, Hey, Americas going to be great again, implication: We wont have a minority in charge again.
Incidents of discrimination do not define the place, lifelong residents and most recent reachings alike are at soreness to say. Trump partisans including with regard to former steelworkers or evangelical Christians, Republican activists or service employees, former Democrats, contractors, clerks, tailors, framers, installers, moves, businesspeople, barbers have explained why they dont suppose racism played important roles in Trumps victory in the county.
Gary Asteak, a civil rights advocate, regards one of his chickens. Photo: Mark Makela for the Guardian
People cast ballots for Trump because they did not like Hillary Clinton and were starving for change , not out of bias, they say. It can seem as if every former Clinton supporter in the county has a sidekick or many friends “whos” Trump boosters, and vice versa. The US may seem to be in a everlasting theatre of split and violence, but in this county, those digesting social contacts show the opposite.
And then there were those two Obama wins. In 2008, Americas first black chairwoman triumphed here by 12 phases, with the highest voter turnout comparable to that of 2016.
Gary Asteak manipulates criminal protection events for the ACLU in Easton, where he was born and has practised rule for four decades.
The Trump era gave rise to the sense that the truth doesnt trouble, lies are OK, superiority and pontification are reinforced, bullying studies, and racial disparagement froths to the surface, said Asteak, sitting on a foyer on his chicken farm in lower Nazareth, where he is township attorney. Use the N-word and other pejorative citations grow OK because the kids are listening it at home. They think that because the crowds are clapping when Trump says throw em out, its OK to put your hands on someone.
It bubbled to the surface.

You had Obama , now we have Trump
The Northampton county seat, Easton, home to Crayola crayons, is conspicuous in the region for its racial and ethnic diversity. The city of 27,000 residents is 14% African American, 14% Latino and simply 67% white-hot, compared against 88% in the county overall. Easton is home to old-time, built Italian and Jewish parishes, a Lebanese community, and eastern European, Irish, German, and grey Anglo-Saxon Protestant communities. The Hispanic and Latino community in Easton includes Colombians, Nicaraguans, Venezuelans, Puerto Ricans, Costa Ricans and Cubans.
Weve always been very diverse. Thats one of our enormous strengths as their home communities, saidBob Freeman, who grew up in Easton and has helped as a state representative from the city since 1982. It causes us our vibrancy, it opens us our sparkle. And it also has stimulated, I imagine, for a very strong, progressive Democratic party here.
Donald Trump lost seriously in Easton, reaping precisely 25% 30% of the vote in most districts. Yet there was a tomb concerned about the fact that chairwoman Trump would be elected at the national level, said Phil Davis, a clergyman who has led the Greater Shiloh Baptist Church on the citys south back for 12 years, on the heels of his fathers 30 -year tenure.
The church sits on the place of a former African American neighborhood that was bulldozed in the 1970 s in a foolish urban renewal scheme, Davis said. A Sunday service might glean 1,000 parties, plus other persons who watch online. The congregation is 85% African American and includes each member of lineages who migrated to the region about a hundred years ago, pump by the manufacturing boom at Bethlehem Steel and driven from the south by Jim Crow-era ethnic oppression.

During the Trump campaign, Davis said, he had counseled multiple community members who had knowledge racist strikes at work.
It was almost as if the candidacy of Donald Trump emboldened those who may have find some tier of racism and simply has not been able to had an opportunity to tone that, Davis said. There were a few incidents, and we had to encourage kinfolks not to retaliate in kind, as parties were spewing abhor specific at African American folks.
You know, You had Obama , now we have Trump that kind of confrontation, that is actually drove some people mad, over why this type of behaviour was happening.
Anecdotes about such workplace confrontations come up in conversations with white people in Northampton County, too. A former steelworker who questioned not to be appointed told the story of a face-off with a fellow white-hot bus motorist whose badmouthing of Obama escalated with the growing success of the Trump campaign.
I came right out the working day and I told this one person who was really he said, you are familiar with: One bullet could have solved our problems. And to me thats not a good way to talk, the former steelworker said.
I looked at him right in the eyes and I said, You know what, you know why you dont like Obama? Because hes a[ N-word ]. Say it. Ill guess more of you. Thats whether you are dont like Obama.
He lives up in the boonies, you know, the very best ol boys. He precisely went back like this a contemptuous brandish of the mitt he didnt want to hear that from me. Well admit it, you are familiar with?

Our system is broken
Racially charged occurrences inside schools in the past time have been particularly vexing and not especially uncommon, multiple parties said. After the video of the African American student dining chicken ran, there was a physical dissension between the two students implied, and the African American student was tasked with misdemeanor assault.
Asteak, the Easton lawyer, represented the student in the case provided for( the student ultimately entered a diversionary program and was not imprisoned ). Theres been more of a foaming overtone of school disorders, Asteak said. But these situations are kept under wraps. It was an unusual situation in Saucon, where the police stepped in and billed the kid.
The episode is not shut, however. In May, the parents of the African American student made a federal civil right lawsuit against the school region, alleging a disappointment by the school to stanch incidents of ethnic bullying going back to 2013.
It all starts in the home, said Wheeler, the NAACP president. When teenagers act out, when minors start wearing belt fastens with the Confederate flag on it, thats all in the home. Home should be able to say, Listen, where do you get that from? Thats not in our house.
Children exchange lemonade in Easton. Photo: Mark Makela for the Guardian
Prejudice is taught, and learned, and demo. Race is learned.
After news spread about the FBI raid on the white supremacist cadre in neighboring Phillipsburg, Davis said, members of the Greater Shiloh church decided to hold a rally in the town is striving to introduce some healing to the community.
I dont want to paint a picture of a city that has not worked diligently to wreak match and equality to our community, Davis continued. The trouble, I see, is that our arrangement is cracked. And when the system is burst, change is very difficult.
Easton is a great, diverse municipality, Wheeler said. Theres problems out there. We cant make that exit. Easton, its not set back. But theres some work to do.

Become An Amazon Seller Today
Amazon Marketplace Web Service (Amazon MWS) is an integrated Web service API that helps Amazon sellers to programmatically exchange data on listings, orders, payments, reports, and more.  I am not a lawyer and not qualified to give legal advice, however, I know a lot of Amazon sellers choose to start without any legal structure like an LLC. Be sure to check out the fees for selling on Amazon and factor that into your margins when you consider selling in their marketplace. A big THANK YOU for showing us all this very viable and potentially extremely profitable business model. It is a good idea to plan for such an eventuality or sell these types of items without a return policy. I see the light and I'm in that spot of trying to build my store and escape from Amazon.
I want to sell directly to customers, but I am in China and so I am going to try Amazon in the US and Japan, my major markets. Ultimately, improving your listing placement on the Amazon Offer Listing Page requires trial and error and a little bit of time. Right now, with all of the various Amazon courses and tutorials out there pushing private label selling, Amazon is slowly getting flooded with a bunch of me too sellers. Hi Stu, the Seller app now supports Germany, Spain, France, Italy, and the UK. Please update to the latest version. Sign up to receive our free 7-day email course, and get your first lesson right away.
One glaring and obvious example of this is that if you look at the Amazon drop shipping policy you'll notice that it is one of the shortest terms and conditions pages they have. With PayPal's survey finding around 25% of shoppers abandoned their online carts because they were not willing to buy products listed in a foreign currency, it's crucial to list your items in shoppers' home currency (i.e. if you're selling in the UK, list your items in pounds) if you want them to buy.
I think Amazon is easier to maintain and to keep track of, although you do have more information available through eBay as far as how well a particular item is selling. As with all automated software, it's wise to continually review how its performing and adjust accordingly, but the time you save in using Amazon repricing software will leave you much freer to run your business and master your pricing strategy for continued growth and success.
Payment for the balance of your orders (net of Amazon Seller fees) is deposited into your bank account, and you receive notification by e-mail that your payment has been sent. They don't care if you sell an item at a loss, as long as you're selling the most they'll promote you to the top of the list. To start with, the program allows exporting products in the apparel, home furnishing (including Indian handicrafts), jewelry, books, collectibles, sporting goods, handbags, shoes and health & beauty products categories.
Tumblr media
Your time isn't better spent on your Amazon sales page or cover design…you can perfect that in a couple of hours…to be successful in self publishing, you need to spend time and effort building your author brand and you need to be prolific. Selling to Amazon also allows you to jump start sales of new products by giving Amazon's bots the confidence they need to start bringing it in themselves. They then called the manufacturer and convinced them to sell directly to the public. Now that I'm selling for order 2 I was able to reduce costs on shipping, unit production, no labeling fee etc. French and leaving in France I am interest to start dropshipping on Amazon and Ebay with a company like Sunrise Wholesale or others..( From France) for the U.S market.
You can always continue the sale during the weekend if you have items left to sell. Include your #1 Best Selling Author status in marketing collateral, speaker one sheet, bio, LinkedIn / other social media profiles and email signature. Again I am in the wallpaper business and wallpaper can look different in person than in real life. However, the fact remains that, if you want to be a successful Amazon affiliate, you must send legitimate traffic to Amazon through your affiliate link on a regular basis. Private labelling (PL) is the process of manufacturing an item to rebrand and sell as your own.
Half of survey participants make some sales revenue from private label products (generic products with their own brand added). There are service providers who can help you with these requirements to support your business in Japan. And the truth is, most people don't even notice that it doesn't say Sold by” They just see Fulfilled by Amazon and that they can get Two-Day Shipping on the order. Having a professional seller account will save your Amazon store money if you're uploading countless products. Hi Mark-i have recently investigated selling on Amazon UK,but it seems impossible as you have to have a company registered and a Credit Card issued by a British Bank. When Nick finally jumped through all the hoops to get his products listed in the Amazon Japan marketplace he wasn't sure exactly what to expect. Within a year he had a website for his brand and began bringing in more and more products to sell.
However, he claims that he has never received any special treatment from Amazon's Associate department, or has never been contacted by Amazon… but he has said that he knows people who have been assigned their own account managers and are in contact with Amazon on a regular basis. This helps you get sales through an established channel while you can pick momentum for your own online store, which can certainly reap great rewards over a period of time. This week i sold a computer ram for £19 on Amazon and again i'll be getting this money in 3 weeks, which sucks. But then amazon sent me an email and asked from me to provide my tax id, i dont have one because i am not a Us-citizen, then they removed my account. Currently other large online sites also sell Future Group's fashion label products.
If the reviews are bad 1-2 stars, it's likely that product will have a lot of returns or it simply won't sell well. I'm just overwhelmed, amazing post you have here, one of the best posts have read about Amazon affiliate marketing. If you want to sell as a PDF, say, on your website, then you probably have to use a third party website or program to automatically send out your PDF to the customer when they purchase it. I'm not too familiar with that because I've never done it. The embedded marketing techniques that Amazon employs to personalize your experience are probably the best example of the company's overall approach to sales: Know your customer very, very well.

White Republicans An Outlier On Views About Race In America
Data: Axios/Ipsos poll; Chart: Axios Visuals
A new Axios-Ipsos poll on race relations one year after George Floyd’s murder shows in stunning detail how there’s no such thing as “what white Americans think,” with Republicans and Democrats seemingly living in two different worlds.
Why it matters: Such a vast gap between the left and right inside the majority U.S. racial group belies the notion of a compromise view, and it shows why Congress has been so slow to act.
Stay on top of the latest market trends and economic insights with Axios Markets.

Don’t Miss: How Many Republicans Would Need To Vote For Impeachment
