How long does it take you to animate?

No concrete answer here, but around 1 - 2 hours? Plus, minus for longer/shorter animations!

Can you make (insert character) as a puppet?

Making puppets takes ages and I really need to be motivated to do it, yes of course I'd love to make certain characters!! BUUUT I'd like to focus on the main characters I want to make at the moment!

How do you make your puppets?

Well uh... I really don't know how to make tutorials and with how different all the puppets are I don't think it'd be really possible, I made one once but maybe one day I'll make a proper something for this...

[intro]

Bakugou is a prideful, arrogant person. He holds himself to the highest standard; he is the best and everyone else is simply below him. Everything he has ever done was in pursuit of being number one, shining above the rest. He has to have a perfect victory, he has to be a perfect student, he has to win to save.

He pushes and pushes and won’t let anyone see his weaknesses or his insecurities. He can never lose, he can never fail, he can never show that he regrets or hesitates or that he hasn’t thought everything through. He must never be vulnerable in every sense of the word.

Then why is he standing in the rain.

To apologize shouldn’t be a sacrifice, but it is for Bakugou. To pour his feelings, to admit his wrong, to let down all of the walls he has built and be vulnerable. And in front of his whole class.

He is willing to sacrifice his pride, to fully sacrifice any superiority he could have, to bare his soul and even risk rejection. Because he knows Midoriya is more important. Because he wants him to come home, he wants him to know his true feelings, because he wants things to change. 

Because Midoriya has changed him. Midoriya has opened his eyes; by showing him he’s allowed to be open, that his feelings should be expressed, that he has so much to learn, and so much of that was learned through Midoriya just existing.

He isn’t sacrificing his safety frivolously because he’s expected to as a hero; he is doing it because he has grown. He is doing it because he has finally admitted to himself that he wants Midoriya to be with him and safe.

So I will sacrifice this for you. Not because it will change anything, as much as I want that I know that I can’t just fix all the wrong with just this. And I am willing to do as much as it takes to earn your forgiveness. But I don’t need that from you, not now and not ever if you don’t want that, I just need you to rest. I did so much wrong. And I am sorry for everything. You don’t have to do this alone. Lean on us. You are so strong and being supported doesn’t discount that. You’ve taught me that. 

I hate the rain. But I will brave it for you. 

He would do everything in his power, admit so many things, just to get Midoriya to take care of himself. We see him being the most vulnerable he has ever been in front of people that aren’t Midoriya. He does so much completely out of character, all in pursuit of being there for Midoriya. 

For Izuku.

He finally gets over himself and finally tells Midoriya the feelings he has felt for so long.

He lets go of this idea he is inherently better and finally acknowledges that his hatred for Midoriya has always been about his own shortcomings and insecurities. But he still wants to be better, they are still rivals. He isn’t going to sacrifice that part of him because that is just who he is; he is still going to push to number one.

But now it’s different.

There is verbal and vocal acceptance and respect. Before it was unspoken; their relationship had changed ever since Ground Beta. They were proper rivals, with mutual respect and care, they were actively making each other better.

But Bakugo finally verbalizes it and tells Midoriya, not only is he sorry, but he wants to actually have a proper friendship; he wants to continue to become better and earn his forgiveness. He wants them to push each other to be better, he wants to continue to fight for the top spot, he still wants to be the best.

But when did it become something else? 

When was the turning point when it started to shift from wanting to surpass Midoriya and be the best, to wanting to keep up with Midoriya and stay by his side?

Bakugou has already sacrificed himself for Midoriya before. His body moved on its own; with no hesitation, he would save Midoriya. He has already risked his life for him. But there is a layer to it that I don’t think people talk about. 

He tells Midoriya he shouldn’t try to win this on his own. 

He disguises his concern with an insistence that he’s in it to fight for himself when he initially joins the battle. But it is to fight by Midoriya’s side and support him.

But taking the hit for Midoriya, jumping in the way isn’t just support. This is sacrifice. This is giving yourself to ensure the safety of someone. And it was second nature. 

There are two reasons and both are a sacrifice of something in the moment.

It is knowing someone is so valuable, so great, in all senses of the word, that they must be protected. Bakugou is sacrificing his body and admitting that Midoriya needs to stay alive, for personal reasons and/or for the world. He needs Midoriya to be okay, Midoriya can’t fight alone and Bakugou will do anything to make sure he will be okay. 

But the sacrifice of ideology. 

With every development, he has relinquished parts of himself. When he sacrifices himself he is not only sacrificing his body but is admitting that he can’t do this on his own; he needs Midoriya too. This isn’t him wanting to be better than Midoriya, it’s him wanting to do it together.

Midoriya changed him.

He doesn’t die for Midoriya. He wakes up and just as his last thought was Midoriya, so was his first as he woke up. He runs to his side. People are dragging him back, trying to have him rest, knowing before he even said anything that he would lose his mind over Midoriya’s situation. 

Everyone sees how Bakugou feels about Midoriya.

He sacrifices himself because Midoriya can not die on him. Midoriya has to stay alive. Midoriya has to keep fighting. 

There can not be a world that doesn’t have him in it.

This is the culmination of what has been developing ever since the final exam where Bakugou finally works with Midoriya; the day that win to save, save to win was noticed. Then furthered after Ground Beta where they finally talked to each other and something changed within them both.

But the final sacrifice is the culmination of Bakugou’s character.

He knows what this decision will mean. Everyone screams for him not to. He knows that he is going to die. He knows he will not win this fight.

This isn’t dying for the cause. This isn’t just a hero complex. This is because he can help Midoriya and he will. This is for Izuku.

I will sacrifice myself for you. To give you more time, to give you even the slightest chance of winning. I will sacrifice myself for you because you are who can win. I am going to die. I am going to die and in my final thoughts, I will ask if I will still be able to be by your side.

It is no longer can I beat you. It is no longer can I surpass you. It is can I still catch up to you. It is can I still even be equal to you. He has already sacrificed the idea that he could beat Midoriya, that isn’t what he wants anymore. What he wants is to stay here with him.

I will sacrifice everything I am. I have wanted to be the best. All my life I have wanted to surpass you and everyone around me. But you. I will let that go for you. I let it go in my mind for so long now and I have never wanted to admit it. Is it even possible? Is it even possible for me to catch up to you? Is it even possible for me to stay by your side. I can’t be that anymore. I am sacrificing even that now. I will never be number one now. I will never become the person I always dreamed to be. I will never surpass you. I am forever sacrificing that now. I will die here.  

But can I still be with you?

The sacrifice of his life is him fully relinquishing everything he is, admitting that he can’t keep up, losing all of the progress he has made, letting go of everything that made up his character.

And the last thing on his mind is if he can still be able to be by Midoriya’s side.

He won’t let him go again.

"The Snake-Oil Deacon"

Aka, Sawyer G. Wolff

Age: 32 [Born 1870... ish, January 14th] Profession: Crooked Cross (however he's more of a Con Artist. Who has a side hustle as a master thief... and preforms at Mahogany Hall under the alias "Sophia, The Salacious Music Hall Singer". He's a multifaceted man) Closest To: Urchins Other Factions: Tomb-Colonists and Devils Spouse: Celebrated Artist's Model Ambition: Light Fingers [Status: Completed!]

Arriving to the Neath with his brother, Sawyer quickly adapted to the Neath and found himself quite at home. A con-artist by trade, he's not a true clergyman (though he claims he was ordained.) He gets into any spot of unsavoriness with a cocky grin and the infuriating ability to get out mostly scot-free and an inflated ego.

[Fun facts below, but be careful of Light Fingers! Spoilers]

-Once he had appeased the Boil of Calamities and peeled himself like an orange, the new 'skin' (scales) were not the only thing revealing his new allegiance. He has a snake-like tongue now, and if he is not careful he can accidentally make a hissing sound. -Extra fun fact related to this, and this is based on actual sounds King Cobras make, but he can growl when really pissed off.

-He did spare and marry Poor Edward near the end, but that was more so from him having just been freshly shorn, as mentioned before, so he was, in full honesty, just too tired to put up a fight at the time. If he had rested for a day or so, he 100% would've killed Edward on the spot.

-Sawyer works at Mahogany Hall under basically a drag-name, Sophia. This was actually his dead-name he decided to repurpose.

-He has a tattoo of the Hybrid he got not long after setting it free to the Roof (I finished the ambition JUST as Feast of the Rose was right around the corner, so it was perfect timing) ((It's along his calf to hide it even while preforming))

-After Light Fingers, he went and opened an Orphanage via the Town House (He ignores Edward's ""Advice"" about running the place very aggressively)

-To acknowledge the statement in the reference sheet, "Bisexual (90% Women)", he has very particular tastes and it tends to be "Women of any variety" and Guys who are a Bit Dandy. (it's unfortunate Edward was the way he was, otherwise Sawyer would've found him cute. Alas, he was wacko.)

-Sawyer was possessed by Jack of Smiles and was one of the BEST JoS London had seen. Nobody knows it was him, and he prefers to keep it that way. (He might get nervous picking up any knives since then. And he may or may not have a bit of a (musical ver) of a Jekyll and Hyde situation going on)

-Honestly I listen to the Jekyll and Hyde musical to get ideas drawing/writing him. The entire soundtrack, he's Everyone.

-Speaking of his dogs are nAMED after Jekyll and Hyde so he's also a literature nerd. You know what his favorite novel is.

🍰Dollop🩷

Initially working as a packaging boy for Cartel Confectioneries pastries as a young mud before being "promoted" to a full blown company mascot/ spokesperson of some kind before he even reached his teen years, dollop had been a very integral aspect of the identity the company had built for itself, utilizing a more "trustworthy" and "cute" brand to separate itself from it's competition.

Cartel Confectionery also utilized this marketing philosophy as a way to deflect the rumors and criticism from the khanzumer parts of oddworld, and they needed someone unfortunate enough to be their puppet who can spew their propaganda and make them money.

And dollop's undying devotion and childish innocence made him the perfect shmuck for it.

completely unaware of the grimy reasoning for their life-changing promotion, dollop viewed this as a great honor on his part, a mudokon being a company mascot was unheard of, all his life he just assumed being an ordinary slave was all he was capable of being, but this, this was different, this was huge success story for him. A realization on his part that he was something much,much more, for all the wrong reasons.

Now as an offical spokesperson for Cartel Confectionery, his daily routine went from endless hours of wrapping different kinds of sugar sweets into their matching packaging to being dressed up in vibrant and eccentric clothing that matched whatever the higher ups wanted to advertise that day for photo shoots and commercials, cute outfits that were much more comfortable and pretty to look at than the dirty worker outfits other mudokons had to wear, for a while dollop assumed these were the kind of outfits that only the most successful inhabitants would wear everyday.

His role as a mascot was so integral to his very identity, even when he was mistreated the same way as his fellow mudokons by having to work insane hours and being injured by his peers whenever he stepped out of line, he found himself rationalizing anything that would question his career, for no other mudokon has had made it the same way he did, being a mascot was important to him the same way he was important to the company he was birthed into, in his eyes at least.

Unfortunately, his career would reach an unexpected hault at the age of 23 when he overheard a glukkon executive making a brief mention of replacing him if something were to happen, leading dollop to go on a spiral causing him to act out during a photo shoot leading him to be locked into his room as punishment, signifying that he was no longer safe.

however lucky for him, he wouldn't be in that horrid factory for long thanks to a dear slig.

🔗Licorice 🔗

For most of Licorice's life, he worked as a security officer for cartel confectionery, mostly keeping to himself in the security office, which was very much the only place that he felt some form of safety and comfort in, he could watch people have interactions he feels he would never have with other people with the cameras and no one would bother him while he's in there.

He's a rather insecure and sensitive slig, which are aspects of him that would get him in a lot of trouble with his fellow sligs. Sligs all around the world are taught to be as cruel and unkind as humanly possible in many ways, such as being faced by cruelty at a young age so their natural compassionate nature is stunted, for when they grow up to be cannon fodder to their glukkon rulers, they can be used to oppress any slaves that step out of line, giving the sligs a false sense of power to keep them loyal.

So whenever licorice would show any form of softness to others he'd be brutally punished and mocked my his co-workers, this ends up triggering his anger issues which sprung from said insecurity and leads him into getting into fights and violent outbursts with other people, and more often than not he never walks out unharmed. Events like this leave him with a lot of guilt over what he had done, but licorice found himself trying to rationalize and justify his actions due to his lifelong oppression he had suffered.

As a result, he had resorted to being a standoffish shut in, refusing to allow himself any form of vulnerability or softness for the sake of protecting himself from harm, even if it ends up hurting him even more as a result, putting on a "lone wolf" persona as an addition. All that won't last very long for him.

Licorice never really knew dollop personally at that point before the coming events leading to their escape, only really seeing him in commercials and company posters inside the factory. Dollop's optimistic and innocent personality shining through said commercials had him rather perplexed and somewhat disturbed, liccy was rather cynical and bitter about cartel confectionery, he was more than aware of their corruption and poor quality control of their products, so seeing a mudokon so cheery about advertising their products had him confused.

Was it all just an act, or was dollop just a fool. At the same time, he couldn't help but feel bad for him, he seemed genuinely passionate about his job, even when he was most certainly being exploited without even knowing it.

It got to a point when licorice was ordered to guard his door after he acted out during a photo shoot, he found himself wanting to break him out, dollop was friendly, albeit very annoying, but seeing him like this began to trigger his compassionate side, which he absolutely hated. Despite trying to make it apparent that he "reluctantly" helped dollop escape, he found himself caring a lot about him, and that feeling would grow more and more as the two learn to survive in the forest in the hut.

He might try to suppress his softness and true emotions to dollop, but dollop is most certainly going to unlock it, whether he likes it or not
