#those poofy skirts are very effective at hiding their lack of hips #don't need leg game when you're in a floofy ballroom gown #i mean. it would be nice if yall had leg game. get some quads up in there. maybe even some thick calves . perchance #i need thick muscled olivine revealing his glass slippers from under his skirt #his legs are LORGE and he's wearing his pretty lil stockings and walking in his heels perfectly #he practiced a lot! and now he's an expert 😊 i'm proud of him #meanwhile i want dante to try heels before wobbling and ... well #depending on whether someone witnesses him wobbling his reaction may differ #if there are witnesses he will stubbornly swear to master the high heels. if no one sees....#maybe he'll just swap out for a functional pair of boots. like quincy. i'm torn about quincy #one half of me wants quincy wearing the ugliest dirtiest most worndown boots under his new spotless dress #the other half is like YOU'RE GOING TO COMMIT. MOUNTAIN MAN #at first i tried making everyone's hair match the original princesses they're cosplaying as (so everyone had much longer hair)#but when i got to blade . it just. didn't seem right #then i started sideeyeing everyone like :/ this aint no genderbending hours...#i want yall as YOURSELVES. unmodified (mostly). just. wearing the dress is all #so i went back and changed yakuoli's hair to be closer to their OG lengths #BUT thEN i sat there staring at quincy kuya and garu #bc. come on. quincy with aurora's flowing golden curly locks. he was made for it.#topper put the wig on him and he can't be bothered to take it off (long hair can act as a nice cushiony pillow 😁)#and kuya without the sassy ponytail?? well... i guess i can let him keep that since he CAN change his appearance at will #and if garu is dressed up as rapunzel... he HAS to have long hair... that's just the Point #OK so yall in the middle can have some long manes specially formulated for this special occasion.#there was already something brewing within me when tjhey announced the silhouettes #seeing yakumo in his 🧍‍♂️ pose and regular pants...#i was feelin preemptively robbed of pretty princess yakumo and the injustice was just casually simmering in my veins day by day #then idololivine's words spurred me into action with a clear vision #and here we are now.#at about the midway point i was yelling at eiden #EIDEN YOU HAVE TOO MANY WIVES. ive just about worn the strap off of my backpack ((again)) and my creative side wants to make a work bag that meets my weird specifications

- one shoulder (but still properly oriented)

- good shape. (i like the novelty of the coffin shaped bag but not the practicality of it)

- 2+ inside pockets (one for my multitude of beverages, one for everything else)

- side pocket for coffee mug

- pocket for pens

- outside pocket for badge, etc

It can't be that hard. I just need to sit down and sketch it out.

#motley #cherry pit #blueberry cobbler #lime pie #marshmallow fluff #banana pudding #watermelon sorbet #my art #ocs #original characters #some notes:#so yes. now they ALL have multiple colors #the idea is that the characters can earn new colors as they grow up/experience important life experiences #and at the beginning of the story. every character has only earned one new color since theyre all only around 15 to 17 years old #except for watermelon. who has already earned two of her colors (and she feels pretty cool about it)#cherry went through like 7 different outfits and colors before i landed back basically right where i started #i almost switched her and watermelons base colors too. but i thought the pink was cuter so i kept her the same #banana has yet another new dress/outfit. but i finally think i like this outfit for her #so heres to hoping i dont feel the need to change it again #watermlon got a complete design overhaul from head to toe #the reason is because her previous design was really difficult to draw on model consistently #so i streamlined it and now she is much much much easier to draw #aka by the end of the story ideally they would all have 3 main colors #which would be the color they were born with + two outfit colors. and then a bonus accent color to tie it all together #im sure thats all ineligible but im just not great at explaining in the notes. this is really difficult when i cant use commas lol #anyways thanks for coming to my tedtalk about this incredibley niche topic lmfao #dont judge these drawings btw lol they are obviously incredibly rough #ive still gotta redesign the main 3 girls parents + the mean girls. man lol

#ik's like two here but she looks about the same as she does in the i kid you not doodles (where she's about five)#this is because i wasn't sure how to make her look even younger #also let's be honest zhao did not dress himself this way #left to his own devices he would've shown up in one of those novelty amazon bird costumes #so of course asmo stepped in #art #dad in the devildom #jtta ik #jtta zhaoxi #obey me #in hindsight maybe i shouldn't have let zhao's outfit be so pretty because it's interfering with his Just Some Guy vibes #or actually no he deserves to dress up pretty sometimes #just know that this is absolutely not the norm #for those who didn't see the ask about it - zhao is the vermillion bird (zhuque/suzaku) and ik is the black tortoise (xuanwu/genbu)#since the four symbols of the chinese constellations are considered yokai in japan #(according to the anon and they also show up on yokai.com so i assume that's correct)#(i haven't actually read past chapter 2 of the yokai event but that's why i drew this)#i rushed through the shading because i wanted to finish this in time for father's day #missed it by just a little bit (it was yesterday for me) but for all intents and purposes it still counts #also good news!! i've got a fortnight left on my schedule so after that chapter updates should go back to normal #as for next chapter i probably won't finish it in time for this sunday so it ought to be out next week if i portion out my time right
