The latest MatPat theory being focused around Vanessa 👁️👁️ Me when I get the giddy hyperfixation tingles whenever anyone brings up my blorbo.

While I don’t think the actual movie version of Vanessa will be revealed to be a robot (solely cause I feel like that’d be too controversial and require too much suspension of disbelief of a choice for the film franchise to make, since it is trying to appeal to a more general audience), I can see that being a possible route that allows the movies to do both Vanessa and Vanny without feeling like doing a 180 of Vanessa’s established character. This version of Vanessa doesn’t listen -> replace her with a new version of Vanessa (Vanny) who will, yknow?

FNAF rant-

I’m so tired of Scott being so ambiguous. Idc what people say, it’s not fun. He’s done this for 10 years and it’s gotten us basically nowhere.

I don’t think the books are canon, but Scott should tell his fanbase if they are. The books have been around since 2016 and still no 100% answer. Especially with what he’s said recently.

Most of the stuff that fans classify as “canon” are just theories hat built up over time. Some ARE confirmed and canon, but most aren’t. Which is why there’s so much debate over timelines and theories

Games can be ambiguous but also tell a really good story if you look (portal, undertale, etc), but the way scott tells the story is getting boring and annoying.

If Scott is scared of how FNAF fans will react, then just change it. He’s already done that before with dream theory in FNAF 4. Even if he doesn’t, just do whatever you want, 50% of the fandom doesn’t like him anyway so who cares anymore.

What’s the end goal of FNAF? FNAF is gonna end someday, so what the fuck is gonna go on then? Another 10 years till? Guess we’ll see the end in 2035 when William is back as a real life bunny who gets adopted by the secret child of that girl with the toy animatronics in FNAF 4 8-bit games.

This isn’t really that serious, but I’m just tired. I’ve been a fan since 2014 and I genuinely just want something, anything. Something small.

Listen, I don't like to involve myself with drama, nor do I like to defend people that donate money to horrible people. But seeing people compare Scott Cawthon to JK Rowling and saying they're the same kind of person is just INSANE???? Let me get this straight: Scott Cawthon is not a transphobe. He does not dislike transgender people. He does not dislike gay people. He himself has said that he loves all his fans no matter what identity and sexuality they may have. JK Rowling HATES trans people. She goes on social media to spread hate. She puts transphobic content in her books. She actively wants other people to BECOME transphobic people. Scott Cawthon? He's just a dumbass. I'm not going to sit here and tell you he's a saint, because he's not. He did something very harmful, but he didn't do it TO be harmful. He said it himself that he donated to the people he did for reasons totally unrelated to their views on queer people. He is a good person at heart, he just doesn't realize the things he does with his money have much greater consequences for those that aren't what he is - a white christian republican male living in Texas. Speaking of which - I know all of those things combined typically scream "THERE ARE ONLY TWO GENDERS NO CHILD OF MINE WOULD EVER BE ONE OF THEM QUEERS" but he is NOT one of those people!! Those types of people would never intentionally include non-binary people in their products, let alone SEVERAL of them, and completely intentionally. Mangle, Funtime Foxy (and therefore also Lolbit), and Spring Bonnie are all very intentionally and canonically non-binary characters in his games. Mangle and Funtime Foxy go by both She and He pronouns, and Spring Bonnie's loading screen caption in FNAF World says "Male? Female? It's a rabbit, who cares." A piece of scum "I have no pronouns" republican would never willingly include something like this. Not only that, there is a canon wlw relationship in one of the Fazbear's Frights books. It's very minor and unimportant, but if he actively hated gay people, he would not include a gay relationship in something he is directly writing. At the end of the day, you have every right to dislike Scott Cawthon for the things he has done. You don't have to give him a cent of your money if you don't want to, and you're free to enjoy the things he creates without supporting his views. You are not a bad person for liking FNAF. But comparing Scott Cawthon to JK Rowling is absolutely absurd. They are NOWHERE near the same level of evil. He's just dumb and rich.

so ive learned that it’s apparently Weird to count fnaf world as part of the fnaf game roster. which is weird. like i subconsciously categorize it as fnaf 5, then sister location as fnaf 6, then pizza sim, as fnaf 7, so on. but most fans don’t? and just call sister location fnaf 5?? probably because fnaf world was seen as the weirdo addition and was mostly kept out but i dunno. i was there. i watched all of the games release and i watched the trashfire that was fnaf world, as well. i watched scott quickly realize just what exactly he got himself into, proceeding to shun it away from the rest of the franchise. but ill always remember that dumb little game. i love it so much

I love fnaf ive loved fnaf since the first game i know all of the lore and the timeline and i love all of the games. and i have to say it is so fucking aggravating seeing people treat scott cawthon like some incredible amazing perfect superhuman who can do no wrong. scott cawthon is a republican who supports people who are actively working on chipping away at the civil rights of anybody who isnt a white cishet man. he has spent so much fucking money doing this. and he is undoubtedly in some part responsible for the rushing of security breach's development, to the detriment of steel wool's employees who had to put up with his insane deadlines. can we please, at the very least, just stop putting this guy on a fucking gilded pedestal

Dare I ask? (I've never really followed MatPat's theories and mostly kept up with the lore via fandom, so I'm a little slow on the uptake.)

in a nutshell:

in a brief explanation: Scott wrote a story in the latest Tales of the Pizzaplex book about the alleged game developer mentioned in FNAF: Help Wanted, in which he says that everything from FNAF 1 to FNAF UCN was just the game developer making games off from rumors and mysteries surrounding from the actual murders that happened there

so everything we ever knew about the Aftons, the Emilys, everything: complete fiction. it’s a goddamn “it was all a dream scenario”. FNAF HW & Security Breach may be the only confirmed canon now.

also "charlie has a good relationship with her father" is something that could ONLY be applied to the original charlie. robot charlie, though her relationship with henry was framed as and probably meant to be perceived in a positive light, was pretty obviously abused by henry and the only reason she was ever created was to be a replacement child. he didn't care about her. he cared about what he wanted her to become.

the fourth closet in general is just plain bad-- but easily the worst thing it does is frame henry as the one in the right, and the only one whose feelings and intentions are valid. meanwhile his daughter, an abuse victim and trauma survivor who very obviously loves and feels like any real person would is constantly the one whose framed as being the problem, and whose told she is not real or deserving of her existence and by the end of the story is made to conform to what the people in her life, specifically her father and boyfriend, want her to be.

like i know henry is fucked up by all the trauma hes endured and thats genuinely understandable, but i cant help but hate him after he became the focus of the books and arguably pizza sim while charlie was disregarded, infantilized, sexualized, and eventually forgotten. she was robbed of the story focus she deserved in favor of the male characters around her, including the man who killed her original self.

If I'd have to grow up in a world where the people i once looked up to as a kid very directly told me to my face they want to get rid of me and my happiness and then someone comes up and tells me "it's just different ways of thinking we can all respect each other with our different beliefs", you could start to understand why i'd want to bite someone's arms off, right?

It's highly unlikely he is homophobic but you want to know what isn't highly unlikely. Him being misogynist and sexist like he donated to all those Republicans to prevent abortions. And guess what is happening exactly right now as we speak, states banning abortions. No matter what the internet "takes" from him, he contributed to take away peoples right to abortion.

The fact that the majority of Republicans are homophobic really doesn't matter to him if it helps in the conquest of bodily autonomy
