when i scroll through the stranger things tag it makes me more and more sad how little people care about lucas/caleb. it really does. like here’s this little boy who’s just as important and nerdy and funny and silly and serious and sweet and kind as anyone on the show/cast. and let’s not pretend it’s not blatant racism cause it is. in season 1 lucas was distrustful and he could be mean to el and that caused people not to like him. then in season 2 billy hargrove came into the scene. this white boy who abused his stepsister, bullied and harassed steve and beat the shit outta him and who said there were certain kinda people max shouldn’t be around. specifically talking about lucas because of him being black, making him a racist. and people adored him. defended him. started shipping him with steve. did everything in their power to justify all of his behavior. advocated heavily for a redemption storyline. doing something they didn’t and wouldn’t ever do for lucas. and in season 4 caleb delivered one of the most moving scenes in season 4 and it gets overshadowed and overlooked by any and everything eddie munson and steddie and nancyxrobin and byler. anyway the character lucas deserves better and caleb definitely deserves better and i hate y’all and y’all ugly :)
