So I've been thinking of a oneshot or blurb, whatever you're up for, with Loki Laufeyson but with an arranged marriage type deal?
I think that it would be so interesting to see him kind of like 'I hate that Frigga is setting me up with this random woman' but then he sees her and is like 'I take that back...'
Love your work! Thank you for all that you do❤️
Oh my god I love this kind anon 🥺 I opened my anon ability for like an hour last night and got a whopping 15 requests so now I know what I'm going to have posting during my vacation! If my math is right then this should be posting by the time I reach my hotel that we're stopping at 😃
Tumblr media
"Frigga, this is not what I imagined when you said that I was to be married to one of your sons." I panic, wrapping my arms around myself as she reaches out to me, hands resting on my shoulders with a reassuring look in her kind eyes. "He's quite literally hiding from me." I can't fight the pout that rises to my lips at the thought of Loki hating this engagement as much as I did when I was first informed.
I assumed that he knew the slightest bit about me just like I heard things about him through the grapevine of the realms. I thought that the rumors about my beauty and knowledge would do me justice- enough justice to cause Loki to be more intrigued than disgusted.
"The Allfather just broke the news to Loki last night. He did not respond well but I'm hoping after he meets you, his opinion will change." She sighs, wrapping her arm around mine before leading me down the grand hallway.
"I don't wish to upset him or put him in a position that he's uncomfortable with." I mutter, my shoulders drooping in disappointment, worried that my future husband has already grown to resent me before he's even met me.
"You are so sweet." She coos. "Come with me, we will see what that mischief maker is up to." There's a flutter of excitement in my belly at the realization that I will meet him in just moments but with every step I take towards his room, I get even more nervous.
"Is he really as bad as people make him out to be?"
"He is troubled, yes. But he is even more my son than Thor is." She grins proudly and I can only imagine how hard it must've been on her to have to care for a son who's not even her blood. I know the rumor that Loki was taken as a preventative of war but I never stopped for a moment to think of how that would weigh on Frigga and Loki's relationship. "I love him with all of my heart and trust that you are a fitted suitor to care for him and pull him out of his dark times."
"I will try but I am not a miracle worker." I smile nervously as she raises her fist to rap against the large wooden door before us and I can hear the sound of shuffling coming from behind it. The door opens seconds later to reveal Loki, hair slicked back but disheveled and he's quick to raise a hand to tame it.
"Mother?" He smiles politely before switching his gaze to look at me with cute, furrowed brows. "And... stranger?" He looks to her for frantic confirmation and I lower my gaze to the floor, suddenly feeling so exposed and embarrassed.
"This is Y/n." I curtsy as best as I can, ignoring the weakness of my knees and Loki stalls, dots connecting in his head. "Your bride-to-be."
"Oh." Loki opens the door further to look at me better and he gulps, clearing his throat before holding a hand out to me. "Oh." He lifts my hand to his lips, pressing a simple kiss to my knuckles with a sheepish smile. "Forgive me. I, uh..."
"I assume you're apologizing for your moodiness." Frigga chastises and I giggle quietly, gaze sweeping to look over at her with a teasing glare.
"All is forgiven." I finally find the strength to speak, my voice coming out weaker than I had originally intended it to. "When my mother first told me that I was to marry you, I locked myself in my room for a week and refused to eat." Loki chuckles, head bobbing in a simple nod of acknowledgment before giving his mother a look that almost says 'see?'.
"So it appears that the feeling is mutual?"
"I suppose you could say that." I sigh but now that he's right in front of me, smiling and looking at me like that, it's hard to be disappointed at this arrangement we're in. "Though I heard of your mischievous rampages, I was never informed that you would be so handsome." His face pales at the wink that I throw his way before I bow to Frigga, stepping away from the two of them to round the corner. I can hear Loki sigh loudly and his mother laugh, a warm smile spreading across my face at the realization that I made him flustered.
"Why would you not tell me that she's beautiful, mother? I look like a fool." Loki huffs, his tone heavy with exasperation and I slap a hand over my mouth to conceal a giddy laugh.
"You always claim you love a challenge, Loki."

Sprint 4 Overview
Sprint Recap:
For our 4th Sprint, our main goals were to finalize our poster designs, get them printed out, and have them put up around the VCU campus. We also wanted to start submitting our poster design to all the digital screens like the Cabell Library, Student Commons, etc.
The first thing we accomplished during this Sprint was finalizing our poster designs. Lillie and Dalton tweaked the original yellow poster design and added the last bit of information we were missing such as the QR code. They also made another yellow scooter poster we could also put up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Alo continued working on our Linktree. She researched information about all three of the scooter companies in Richmond and added a section where people can report each company's scooters if they have fallen over. She also looked into how the scooter companies keep track of the scooters and how they try to incentivize people to pick them up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something Susan brought up during our last Sprint was that it would be a good idea for us to add information about how to use the kickstands on the scooters somewhere on our poster. We noticed how confusing it can be to locate and push out the kickstands, especially when people are in a hurry. We think that could be one of the reasons why so many people leave them on the sidewalk or prop them up against trees. My group had the idea to make a GIF showing how to use a kickstand and have it be in our “How to Park a Scooter” section in our Linktree.
I decided that I'd work on making the GIF. We wanted to make something very straightforward and easy to understand. I went out and located a fallen Bird scooter. I set up my phone with my water bottle and started recording. I picked up the fallen scooter and used my foot to attempt to kick out the kickstand. I had to retake the video multiple times because I struggled with kicking out the kickstand. It was pretty rusty and stuck in place on the scooter. Finally, I got footage of me kicking out the kickstand in one try.
I then downloaded a GIF-Making app called Gif Maker. I trimmed the video to only have the clip of me kicking the stand down. I then sped up the gif in the app and looped it. It was a straightforward and quick GIF that showed a simple way to kick the stand down. My group agreed but felt that something was missing. I briefly got the free trial for the paid version of the app and added a bright yellow arrow pointing to the kickstand in the GIF. We felt that this conveyed the instruction more simply and made our GIF stand out a little more. Alo added the GIF to Linktree and we finally had the website finished.
Tumblr media
Lillie and Dalton worked on alternative designs for our poster that could go on the various digital screens around campus. All we needed to do now was print our posters, put them around campus, and start submitting our poster designs to digital screen forms online. Last Sprint, I started to research how submitting these forms worked. We decided to submit our poster designs to the Cabell Library digital screen, the Student Commons digital screen, the GRTC bus stops + inside the bus and the Stall Street Journal. We also wanted to look into reserving tables to poll outside the Cabell Library.
I started to work on submitting our posters to these forms because all of the websites stated that it takes about two weeks to process everything and have it displayed. I started by emailing GRTC about possibly having our posters in their buses and at bus stops. Susan sent me the marketing department's email and phone number last Sprint. I both texted and sent out an email.
Tumblr media
I got a text almost immediately from Henry that stated that he could meet with us sometime next week to discuss this further.
Tumblr media
We talked and decided to meet on Zoom on Wednesday, November 15th, 1:00 PM-1:30 PM.
Tumblr media
After this, I started to fill out the form for the Cabell Library. Since Lillie was the one who designed the final poster, we both decided it would be good to put her information into the form. She was very busy that day so I filled out the form using her information. I wrote a brief statement about what our poster is about and why we want to have it displayed. A problem we ran into was that our original poster was not the correct size for the Cabell screen. Even though Lillie was very busy that day, she took time out of her schedule and instantly made a version of our poster that fit on the Cabell screen. I appreciate that! We submitted the form and are still awaiting a response and approval.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I then started filling out the form for the Student Commons screen. Again, I wrote a paragraph explaining our goal with these posters and how we have connections to the VCU faculty management. We did this to increase our credibility and raise our chances of getting selected. Again, we resized the poster to fit on the Student Commons screen. Lillie redesigned the poster in a longer format and we submitted the form. A couple of days later, we got a response stating that we got the approval and that they were going to start playing our ad on their Student Commons screen.
Tumblr media
I also looked into the Stall Street Journal but judging from their form, it seems they only accept topics that have to do with mental and physical health. Our ads would not work with the type of subjects that they cover.
I also looked into the table polling but we decided to set this up during break since it says to fill out the form two weeks before the tabling event. Since it is still early, we will wait a bit before filling it out.
Dalton and Lillie submitted our posters to multiple printing places around Richmond. Almost none of them got back to them or stated they never received their poster for printing. This delayed us a lot because we wanted to have our posters up this Sprint. Lillie finally got a confirmation from Richmond Printing when she resubmitted the files that they would print our files. However, they stated that they would have them by Friday, which is one day after this Sprint ends.
Tumblr media
Plans for Sprint 5:
For Sprint 5, our main goal is to have these posters up and around Richmond. We are supposed to get them back from the printing company on Friday and will put them up immediately. We want Sprint 5 to focus on spreading our posters in as many places as possible and getting lots of engagement on our Linktree. We will also try and submit our posters to even more websites and forms. We will contact multiple VCU social media outlets and try to get them to advertise our posters on their story or posts. We will also post our posters on r/rva and r/vcu on Reddit to get feedback and spread more awareness.
I am also meeting with Henry from GRTC marketing on November 15th and hope this will be a step forward in getting our posters up in the buses. We need to schedule a meeting with Susan this Sprint as well to update her on our progress and discuss what else we can do to spread our posters message even further.
Reflections
I feel that we accomplished a lot with this Sprint. Not only did we finish the Linktree but we also submitted our poster design to many websites and digital screens for approval. We even got accepted for the University Student Commons digital screen already. I feel that the pace we are working at is good and we are already spreading our posters to so many places.
Something that I learned during this Sprint was how to create a GIF. I have never made my own GIF before and when I was asked to make one for our Linktree, I was a little nervous. I thought it would be a lot more complicated than it was. All I had to do was edit parts of the video to make sure it was a good length, capture the most crucial parts of the video, and then insert it in the GIF-Maker. I also had to stick some stickers on the GIF but that ended up being very easy as well.
I've also improved at connecting with different people and getting projects approved. I didn't realize before this project how easy it could be to set up meetings with people such as the GRTC. I assumed you had to already have connections and wouldn't be able to get too far. In reality, however, if you simply just send them an email, they are willing to meet with you. I've gotten approval and help from many different people during this project that I didn't realize were so accessible.
Something that I wish we had done differently with this Sprint was submitting our posters for printing earlier. We assumed that the turnaround time would be quick with these printing places so we submitted pretty late to each of them. While we did take into account how long printing would take, we never considered submitting even earlier if things went wrong. Things indeed did go wrong and we ended up not having our posters during this Sprint. For the next Sprint, we need to make sure we are submitting things ahead of time just in case anything goes wrong again. We need time to think of alternatives and backups in that case.

summary: in which you and jungkook splurge on in the seom.
> fluff, suggestive ? / wc: 2.6k
> warnings: mention of recording a sex tape oop
note: look . . . i don’t know how my drabbles end up the way that they do i also question the stream of my thoughts constantly. anyway the mobile gaming continues 🫡 this game got me hooked i needed to write while i’m in the zone. + feedback is always appreciated <3
“wow, you’re so rich.” you comment absentmindedly, watching jungkook’s tattooed hand making multiple in-app purchases of gold and gems.
“babe, babe,” you panic and slap his hand away from clicking the largest amount of gems for the third time. “i think thirty-seven thousand gems are more than enough for now!”
he makes a noise of disagreement from behind you, his body vibrating against your back. his arms circle around your waist again, using both words and touch as his ways of persuasion. “did you see the top one? they’re in like level 600! let me buy more so we’re set for until level 300 or something.”
you sigh in defeat, letting him hold the ipad propped up against your thighs again. “well, i guess the money just circles back to your bank account.”
“i know right?” he giggles in delight. “ohhh, i’ll buy the tany pass so we can get the butter costumes.”
sparkling gold coins replace your irises like they do in the cartoons. the said costumes are too adorable and you want to see them wear the matching outfits in the island. moreover, your boyfriend knows how much you loved his long purple hair.
“does it come with all seven?” you ask curiously as jungkook lifts up the ipad to level with his head for umpteenth time, using the face id to confirm the $8 dollar purchase. the purchase successful! notification flashes on the screen, and you can’t hide the stupid smile forming on your face.
“i’m not sure? let’s see.” he hums, tapping each member on the screen to check their available items.
“oh wait! i need to complete the tier first. hold on.” he exists the tab to go back to the event, purchasing the keys to unlock all the prizes without having to collect anymore. he claims them one by one. “oh, so there’s only jin-hyung, jimin-hyung, taehyung-hyung, and me.”
“but i wanted everyone- oh my god, you guys are so cute.” you hold down the squeal in your throat, zooming in on the characters wearing their butter outfits. “his rainbow hair is really pretty. i saw they released the butter funko pops too? looks great as everything.”
he nods with a chuckle, watching jimin walk around the island. “he’s the only one who can pull that off.”
“well now i wanna see you try it.” blonde jungkook was also very pretty- the evidence of your honesty being the three weeks you only referred to him as barbie.
“barbie, i miss your face. what time are you coming home?”
“hey barbie, what you cooking for dinner?”
“that’s not how lasik surgery works, barbie!”
“good morning, pretty barbie. i’m not sure but i think i . . . burned the coffee maker?”
the name rhymes with baby, your term of endearment for each other. you know what? it’s basically the same word, so he got used to it right away. if he hears someone saying it in public, he will most probably still react to it. obviously, you stopped using the name when he dyed his hair another color.
so if he tries the sprayed on pastel colors on his blonde hair? you get the living, breathing barbie doll of your childhood and teenage dreams.
“we can try for fun when i want to bleach my hair again.”
jungkook is an angel who always lets you indulge in the desires of your heart.
“hmm, soon then. your natural hair is very pretty and healthy right now. i hope it grows out the way you want it to this time.” your hand reaches back to caress his head. his hair is as smooth as silk as it glides across your palm, freshly dried from the shower not even two hours ago.
you remove your hand to entertain yourself with the game again, dragging the members to the army bomb to make them dance to their songs.
“oh! they’re playing still with you?” you exclaim in pleasant surprise, laughing at his character dancing cutely to his precious song. the other members have the biggest smiles on their faces dancing along too. jungkook watches the scene with you in pure amusement.
“ah, the game has captured the group’s dynamics very well. they got all the inside jokes and nicknames researched and written down.” he shares his review before the sight of namjoon and seokjin crying while eating mint chocolate ice cream makes him burst with laughter.
“see? they are this dramatic over this in real life! i can attest to this!” he makes them do it again to point it out, the speech bubble that says i’m brushing my teeth right now sounding awfully familiar.
“you and taehyung are my favorite.” you drag him over to taehyung to show the two of them holding hands and moving side-to-side like two little kids who won prizes at the fair. “so cute!”
you wish you had a penny for every time you say the word cute today.
“oh, that looks familiar but i can’t remember where we did that anymore.”
he suddenly grabs your hand and places it on top of his head.
you look back at him confusion. “yes, baby?”
“play with my hair while i buy more outfits and decos please.”
his soft voice makes flowers bloom in your chest. how endearing is your boyfriend?
“of course, baby.” you resume stroking his hair, occasionally twisting the strands in your fingers and raking your nails on his scalp.
he shifts around to lean more comfortably on the pillows, one arm holding you by the waist and the other holding the ipad. you allow yourself to completely relax between his thighs, his body enclosing you into a cocoon of warmth and affection. if you only you could stay in this position for the rest of your life, you would.
but the hand playing with his pair pauses when he starts messing around with the game again, replacing the free items he got with the other designs that cost the most diamonds. the tent, the dining area, the luggage, the camp fire, the cocktail bar, the sun beds, the umbrellas, the hammocks.
huh, you haven’t quite gotten used to it yet.
it is pleasing to watch- having the luxury to choose and being able to buy the one that you want. you both know it’s just a silly little game, but the satisfaction that comes with decorating the island can be addicting. apparently, you and jungkook have a knack for finding entertainment in the silliest things, which further strengthens your bond. you firmly believe you were childhood friends in another life.
meanwhile, he moves on to opening ten lucky boxes at a time.
“booster. booster. booster.” he mumbles while tapping on the screen. “hah! i got suga-hyung a top. and shades. booster. booster. a windmill? streetlamp. booster. shorts. no way- the car from daechwita? ice cream truck . . . light it up like dynamite~”
you swear, there is a kid trapped inside your boyfriend’s big body. if he was to be prohibited from speaking or moving for twenty four hours, he wouldn’t be able to follow the rules even if his life depended on it. perhaps that is why there is always the need to protect him despite knowing the fact that he is way stronger than you- he is such a kind and free spirit. a rare gem. your one in seven billion. you want to protect him from mosquitoes and storms and shipwrecks and exposed wires and slippery floors and sharp edges and treadmills (it flung him off that one time two years ago) and any other form of bad energy in the universe. atleast, you’re trying to.
after opening about thirty? forty? boxes, he dresses up the remaining members. however, “can i make them naked? oh. i can pay for it. i’ll make namjoon-hyung naked- shirtless. oh-ho-ho! sexy with the hair as blue as the ocean.”
your laughter is louder than the ipad’s speakers blasting the game’s original soundtrack, your boyfriend’s hilarious live gaming commentary exactly being your style of humor.
to be honest, if only you weren’t in a healthy relationship, you’d think he was in love with namjoon.
after displaying the decos he bought, jungkook decides to make a club.
“you really posted on your ig story.” you chortle in disbelief, scrolling through the seemingly endless amount of requests. “this is so fun. hold on-”
“everyone’s on level 100 and 200. how are they so fast?!” he cries out at the three digits beside the nicknames of the users. “we need to catch up to them after this.”
“they’re all sending you flowers. and fruit baskets? pearl necklace. these literally cost gems.” you curl up between his thighs from laughing so hard, your grip on the ipad loosening until it slips down next to jungkook. “my stomach hurts. i can’t breathe.”
his wide frame also shakes in mirth, but he securely wraps his arms around you to prevent you from falling off the bed. for the record, it is a king-sized bed. for some reason, however, the two of you always end up being tangled together on the one edge or the other. (most of the time it’s actually you subtly moving closer and closer until he pays attention and cuddles you)
“okay! let’s start accepting requests.” he announces while manhandling you back into your previous position. you grunt at the pressure pressing against your stomach, holding onto his forearm to push it away lightly out of reflex.
you’re literally on the bed, why does he feel the need to carry you all the time?
once you’re settled down once again, you start accepting requests to join the club together. you take turns in picking random users based on the nicknames that catch your attention, and it is peaceful for a while until you’re looking for the one final member and-
“jeon jungkook’s future wife . . . that doesn’t sound right.” you read the nickname out loud, tilting your head to the side with a click of your tongue.
“well, i do like that they’re brave.” with a shrug, you accept their request and open the door for them to enter the club.
jungkook snickers behind you, obviously loving how his ego is being spoon-fed at the moment.
you sit up to accusingly look at him with hooded eyes. “all the flowers and gifts and proposals. you’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”
“maybeee.” he offers you a playful beam. “but it’s our game. i’m doing this for us! we can get lots of hearts from the club!”
we- they don’t even know i exist. but he still makes you smile anyway. your lovely jungkook, who is always too good to you.
spontaneously deciding that you want to splurge on lucky boxes to make the countless purchases of gems worth it, you soon find yourself unable to stop. oh, you understand him better now.
“it’s fun, isn’t it?” he smiles at the childlike look of relishment on your face. you tap and tap and tap, collecting prizes like a panicked thief picking up gold coins forming a long trail, except that unlike the thief, you are overjoyed.
“keep buying until we get six of the cars.” he instructs you, clicking the cart that takes you to the lucky box again. he plans for each of them to be designated to the members who have a driving license. perhaps it’s unnecessary, sure- but he wants to prolong your small joys as much as he can.
“kay, since it’s your money.” you answer gleefully. you free yourself from the hesitation of spending gems since you can’t get a refund for them anyway.
you end up with six daechwita cars and three dynamite ice cream trucks. jungkook parks them all beside each other, like a team huddling together before a basketball game. he also buys taehyung’s hansung costume from the kdrama he starred in called hwarang, later on claiming that taehyung looks like he has been the immortal guardian of the island since the day the dry land was created on planet earth.
his words exactly. not yours. your boyfriend’s imagination tends to wander around like a free bird soaring through the sky for the first time in its life.
after chatting with the club members for a bit, he decides to pick up your level from 31. the motivation kicks in like a race horse when he realizes that your account is top 30 out of 30 in the club.
on the spur of the moment, he begins worshipping the boosters he was previously irritated at for constantly popping out of the boxes instead of the costumes and decos that he wanted.
you have never loved the word DOPE! more in your life.
“my favorite boosters are the whale, the double top, and the axe.”
“the whale is the best one for sure. it’s a lifesaver.” you mention cheerfully as you mix the two whales that wipe out the entire puzzle, mimicking a black hole that swallows everything that dares to come near it.
“oh my god, it’s so fucking satisfying to watch.”
jungkook grabs the opportunity as soon as he sees it. with a mischievous grin he declares, “title of our sex tape.”
yup, you should have foreseen this right when the words came out of your mouth.
you sit back up to look at him with a disapproving look. “you just had to do it, didn’t you?”
he pouts sadly, but his bunny smile promptly lights up his face again upon hearing your follow-up statement.
“like i’m sure we can come up with a better title than that!”
the familiar notification sound rings from the ipad, and you both peer down at the pop-up that appeared on the top of the screen.
it’s from cats&soup— another game you play together almost everyday.
Cats are missing you!
jungkook goes for it again without a single beat of thought or hesitation.
“title of our sex tape!”
the displeased expression on your face turns sourer. “you gotta try harder than that, babe.”
“that is not a good title. we have a beyond satisfactory sex life.” he whines, the joke he cracked backfiring on him.
“well then get back to me when you think of a good one. we need to feed our cats for now.” you exit in the seom to tend to the other game for the meantime. does my face look like that i’ll become a king will have to stay in level 80 (the bottom of the rank list) for now.
but then the gears in his head immediately starts turning after being given the challenge, and a new found motivation drives him to, in fact, try harder this time around.
he clears his throat, alternately looking at your face and your fast fingers upgrading the cats’ facilities. just waiting for the right timing to bring it up.
is this ever a right timing to talk about this type of stuff? oh, fuck this. ask the million-dollar question already.
he swallows thickly in anticipation. “uhm, so i was just thinking. if you approve my title, will we record one for real?”
you shrug without looking at him, focused on collecting money from the food your cats cooked. “sure. why not?”
jungkook’s doe eyes sparkle with doubled, tripled- no, quadrupled adoration for the sweet creature sitting between his legs.
“you are the love of my life.” he utters breathlessly.

Beautiful Silence (Kylo Ren x fem!character)
Summary- Kylo Ren wakes up from a nightmare, luckily, he's with his princess.
Warnings- slight mention of death
Word Count- 676
A/N- This isn't my first time writing but it is my first time showing it to someone other than my mom so it's likely not the best. I also uploaded this from my notes app so the format is very weird and gross. Anyway, this is just sleepy Kylo Ren fluff so enjoy!
(p.s. HAPPY PRIDE MONTH BITCHES!!)
Tumblr media
Kylo is running. He is running and stars, he's never ran this hard. He's in a forest on some planet he's visited only once. Why is he running? Kylo wants to stop, he knows he can't run forever but he can't stop. It's like his feet have a mind of their own, that mind is stupid.
Suddenly, and by no will of his own, he turns around a tree and starts running a different direction. He starts to hear something he didn't before, water? He's out of the trees now and the sun is beating down on him and damn, why is he still running?! He's not sure how long the running lasted, it felt like hours, but he stops now. There's someone in front of him? Not close enough to see his features but there's definitely someone there. He's turning around and no, no he's dead.
There's no way this is happening, Han Solo is dead. "I am dead, you know better than anyone, don't you?" Han Solo is speaking. How is he speaking? HE'S DEAD!
"Why? WHY CAN'T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?" Kylo cries back.
"I am you, Ben. You carry my memory with you, you once carried my name."
Kylo turns back and he runs, it's not his feet this time, he wants to run. It's his will now and he can tell. He's sweating, and his heartbeat is roaring in his ear when-
Kylo opens his eyes.
Quietness.
Beautiful, beautiful silence.
The only sound is the hum of the generator and her quiet, deep breaths. He's in bed with his princess, his queen who deserves way better than him, wrapped into her while laying in a bed that is far too small for him. Kylo's head is resting against her chest, his thumping heart is replaced by the faint beats coming from the other side of her tearstained shirt. He remembers last night..
It was well into the night when Kylo ran out of a meeting that wasn't going his way and found his feet taking him to her room. He had placed his helmet on a table and his shoes beside them when he couldn't hold it in any longer. He pressed his face into the neck of his sleeping beauty and wept. Kylo wept, and she let him. They were in the midst of an argument about Maker knows what yet she still grabbed onto him, turning around and wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling him into her as she whispered soft affirmations in that perfect voice of hers; "It's not your fault," "I'm not leaving you, Kylo."
Kylo hopes she knows how much he needs this. How much he needs her. He needs to wake up from one of his nightmares, with the sun barely out the window, entangled in her arms. He needs his angel to give him the affection he so craves but will never ask her for.
Kylo's grip on her waist tightens and he pulls her impossibly close, knowing they'll never get close enough to satisfy him. At this movement, his goddess's hand goes straight to his hair, unconsciously massaging his scalp.
He hopes she knows how much he loves her. He's not good at showing it and he understands that. He'll likely crawl out of her bed in a couple of hours, leaving her without his overwhelming body heat and in a cold, lonely bed. He hopes she doesn't think he has to do this because he doesn't want to lay with her until the last star burns out, or because he doesn't want to hold her so tightly in his arms until his muscles constrict. He can't do that, no matter how much he wants to, because he needs his strength, it's all he has. Maybe one day, he'll be able to wake her up with kisses on her lips, her nose, her eyelid. Maybe one day he'll be able to hold onto his princess until his muscles ache.
But for now, he'll close his puffy eyes, this time to dream of beautiful silence.

Turn Your Luck

When you woke up in the morning and smacked your big toe off your bed frame, you didn't even think twice of it. It sent a jolt all throughout your foot, but after a few swear words, you were already feeling a little better. You didn't bother making the bed you'd just stood up out of. All your life you'd reasoned that it wouldn't be 24 hours before you just messed it up again. You grabbed a towel and moved into the bathroom. The hot shower made you forget all about the sore toe you'd been sporting only a moment earlier.
You were feeling great when you stepped out of the shower. The warm water had always instilled comfort into your very bones even this early in the morning. You wiped some of the condensation off the mirror to brush your teeth. The tube of toothpaste was completely empty, and the drawer where you usually kept the new ones was also barren. You rolled your eyes at your own irresponsibility, before brushing your teeth without any toothpaste and then using some mouthwash to try and compensate for it. You stepped out of the bathroom.
You got dressed in your favourite white shirt and black pants before making your way into the kitchen. You tossed your phone onto the counter as you passed it on the way to the small kitchen table. You were after the fruit bowl, which was already needing a refill. There were still a few apples left, though, and you were expecting to have one for breakfast. You were mistaken. You pulled the empire apple out of the blue bowl to find the bottom had grown immensely soft and was clearly not in any condition to be eaten. You were disappointed but tossed it into the compost bin and moved on.
Humming a soft tune as you moved, you popped a pod into the single-serve coffee maker and pressed start. You were moving toward the fridge in no time when a strange noise caught your attention. You whirled to face the coffee maker. Instead of the steady stream of coffee you usually got, it was spraying the hot liquid like it was a shaken pop can. You jumped behind the small island, using it as a shield. Thankfully, you'd managed to keep your white shirt safe from the wrath of the coffee. When it stopped, you finally dared step back into the kitchen. The dark liquid was dripping down every nearby surface. You huffed, running some paper towel across the biggest surfaces quickly.
You gave up on the coffee. It seemed you weren't going to get it anyway. You glared at the machine as if it had intentionally smitten you. Instead, you reached into the fridge instead and poured a glass of orange juice for yourself. You sipped it before setting it back onto the countertop. When your phone buzzed and indicated an incoming message, you reached for it. Your elbow hit your glass and it fell onto its side. The orange liquid spilled off the counter and into your white shirt. You gave the mess the middle finger, tossing a dishtowel on it to soak it up, with the intention of actually cleaning it after work. You already had to clean the coffee up anyway.
Any attempt at breakfast was abandoned. After the three kitchen incidents combined, you were convinced you'd be better off heading to some drive-thru on the way to work. Now in a new blue shirt, you grabbed your bag and headed out your front door. You unlocked your car, slid into the driver's seat, and hit the ignition. The car sputtered for a few seconds, before refusing to start. You tried again, and then again, before groaning, taking out your frustration on the steering wheel in front of you. You stood up and stepped back out of the vehicle, slamming the door behind you with much more force than necessary.
Then, it was off to the bus stop. You headed down the sidewalk to the nearest one, pulling out your phone as you walked so you could check your app to find out when the next bus was coming. When you saw big red letters informing you that the bus was halted until further notice, though, you had to refrain from throwing your phone hard into the concrete. You supposed you should have had a little sympathy for those in the accident that had halted your bus, but you couldn't find it in yourself right then. Your morning was not going well.
It was a good thing you hadn't smashed your phone against the sidewalk. It was the only thing you could use to get you to work now. You switched apps and ordered an Uber to come to pick you up. When the driver arrived, you climbed into the back seat and gave him the address of your place of work. He nodded and pressed his foot down on the gas. Your eyes had been glued on your phone, but your gaze flickered at the driver's movement. He was adjusting the mirror and you were absolutely sure he'd angled it to face you a little better. You could have puked when you realized the creep was checking you out. You didn't say anything, at this point just wanting to get to work and be done with it.
You practically sprinted into the building when you arrived. Security didn't seem to mind your rush, having seen your face every day for over three years anyway. You hopped up the stairs two at a time, faster than the elevator would have been able to carry you anyway. When you reached the meeting room door you took a few seconds to catch your breath, not wanting to seem too flustered in your professional environment. When you finally pushed the door open, everyone was rising to their feet. Their eyes all darted up to glance at you. You smiled sheepishly.
"You're late."
"I know, I'm sorry." That was honest. You might have been frustrated, but you hadn't wanted to inconvenience any of your coworkers as well. "I've really had a rough morning."
Your boss nodded. "We've all had those days. I'll send you an email and give you a summary."
You thanked him and left the meeting room with everyone else. You trudged into your office, throwing your bag to the floor, and refraining from slamming the door behind you. You collapsed into your office chair and closed your eyes for a brief moment. But you didn't have time for that. The paperwork on your desk needed your attention. You gave it. The hours you spent on all the files, emails, and documents were the smoothest thing that had happened all day, even if it was mind-numbingly boring and felt absolutely endless. It might have been smooth sailing, but it didn't brighten your spirits at all.
When your phone rang, you reached out blindly until you felt your hand come in contact with it. You shuffled it until it was upright in your hand. You were so completely absorbed in the document that was displayed on your computer screen that you didn't even bother to look at your phone as you fumbled to slide the answer bar. Only when the incessant ringing had finally ceased did you know you'd successfully answered the call. You hesitated before you slowly raised the phone to your ear, eyes still scanning the lines in front of you.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Hun."
Immediately you regretted not checking the caller ID before answering the phone. You could have kicked yourself. In fact, the move was so ridiculously and incredibly stupid that you could have beaten yourself to a pulp. The voice on the other end of the line was familiar, completely unwelcome, and not a surprise after having the day that you were having. You turned away from the screen, resting your elbow on the desk and massaging the migraine that was beginning to form in your forehead. You sighed heavily, sure she heard it.
"Hi," you stated. "What?"
"Hun-"
"Please stop calling me that, I already asked you."
You had asked her that. Multiple times. You'd broken up months ago after she'd broken your heart. Catching her in bed with someone else had left you shattered and unsure if you could trust anyone. You'd been okay for a couple months now after some comfort and reassurance from your best friend, who you were having dinner with tonight. You glanced at the time. Your attention was unfortunately brought back to the girl on the phone, though, when she sighed your name as if she were the one who was hurt. She had no right to be hurt.
"I just-"
"I'm working," you finally said bluntly. "Is it urgent?"
"No. No, I'm sorry. I... I can call you tomorrow."
You wanted to snap and tell her not to bother, but you didn't. You just nodded despite her not being able to see it, said goodbye, and hung up. Once more you were faced with the urge to smash the stupid phone. Once more you fought it, instead shoving it into a drawer so you could ignore it and work on the mountains of paperwork you had to get through before your six o'clock reservations. You got back to it. Soon enough, the information was able to push your ex far from your mind. You didn't want to think about her anyway.
It felt like it had been eons since you'd arrived at work, and yet, according to the clock in the corner of your screen, you still had over an hour until your reservation. You might have slammed your head down onto the desk in front of you had two things not stopped you. The first was the migraine that was still throbbing in your head, and the second was the ringing of your office phone. Even though you knew she couldn't call you on here, you checked the caller ID before you picked up this time. It was the front desk.
"Hey, Tamara. What's up?
"There's someone here for you. She said you're going to miss your reservations."
"Reservations? It's only 4:45."
Tamara hesitated. "Daylight savings. It's 5:45."
You had entirely forgotten about that and even if you hadn't, you would have expected the computer would auto-update something like that. But you had forgotten, and the computer hadn't jumped forward, and now you were going to be late, and you still hadn't turned in the file that you'd promised to turn in today. You groaned in frustration, but transferred the file to a flash drive, shoved it into your bag, and left your office. Clearly, everyone else had remembered the time change, as the office was empty.
You cursed all of your coworkers in your head. You made for the elevator. When you stepped on and hit the button to bring you down to the lobby, you actually crossed your fingers. With your luck, all of the cables on the elevator would snap and you'd plummet all the way to the parking garage and die in a fiery explosion. Thankfully, your little gesture of luck seemed to work, for the doors slid open safe and sound in the lobby. As you stepped out, though, your bag hit the door, and the company ID snapped off and slipped in that tiny little crack between the elevator and the floor and out of sight. You cursed loudly.
You didn't dare shine your flashlight down the crack to try and see how far it'd gone; either your phone would have gone down after it out the doors would have slammed shut on either side of your skull. Neither of those things were a chance you were willing to take. You abandoned your ID and continued to the front desk, letting Tamara know what had happened. She nodded in understanding before pointing out your best friend, who had come to collect you after you'd let her know this morning that you'd taken an Uber to work. You approached her and tapped her shoulder.
"Hey," she said brightly.
"Hey, Nat."
Natasha Romanoff was the best thing to happen to you all day. She was your very best friend. Too, maybe you wanted her to be a little more. She was the most beautiful woman you'd ever laid eyes on, the red waves on her head only accentuating her emerald green irises, which sparkled when she smiled at you. That was only her physical beauty. Though she was, to most everyone that knew her, a tough, scary Avenger, you knew it was a façade. Natasha was the kindest, most generous, selfless, and caring person you'd ever had the pleasure of knowing.
"Tamara tells me you forgot about daylight saving time started last night."
"Shut up," you grumbled.
"Irritable because you lost an hour of sleep?"
"Nat," you said, already feeling bad for snapping at her. You rubbed your head. "I'm not having the greatest of days."
That was how your friendship with Nat was. You both understood that not every day was a good day. She tried to convince you not to compare, but you especially understood that. Natasha had been through hell on Earth when she was a child and you wished with every fibre of your heart that you could bear some of that for her. But you couldn't, and you were sure that if you could have, she wouldn't let you. So instead, you understood the bad days, and in turn, she did too. When you stated that today was one of those days, she turned to you with concern sparkling in those beautiful eyes.
"You okay?" She asked.
Your heart fluttered when her hand took yours.
It was a friendly gesture, of course, but you couldn't help but wish it otherwise. You wanted to hold her hand and have it not be just as a friend. You wanted to be able to intertwine your fingers with hers and squeeze her hand tight and feel that constant touch against her. You didn't want it to be friendly, you wanted it to be more. You wanted it to be so much more. You wanted to call her yours and for her to call you hers. But she was just a friend, and it was far better than nothing.
You hadn't always believed that someone could fall in love without some sort of a romantic relationship leading up to it. Now you realized it didn't need to be romantic. You and Natasha were close. You were closer than you'd ever been with anyone before. Because of that relationship, you knew you loved her. You were head over heels in love with her at this point, and you'd realized that a little while ago when you caught yourself fondly admiring her as she drummed her fingers against the table, deep in thought. It was a habit that had once had the ability to drive you up the wall.
"Hello?" She tried again. Her hand squeezed yours.
Your stomach flipped. "Yeah. I'm alright. Just waiting for my bad luck to run out."
"What happened?"
"What didn't happen?" You scoffed. "My fruit is all spoiled, my coffee maker broke, I spilled orange juice on my favourite white shirt, my car won't start, my bus wasn't running this morning, my Uber driver was a creep, I missed my meeting, I almost missed our reservations, I lost my ID badge and... she-who-must-not-be-named called."
Natasha's eyes darkened, her hand gripped yours tighter, and her gaze moved to meet yours. You took a chance and swiped your thumb over the back of her hand to try and get her to ease the tension out of her muscles. It seemed to work, as she relaxed a little. Her shoulders moved back down, the crease in her eyebrow lessened, she loosened her grip on your hand and exhaled carefully. She nodded in thanks, green eyes once against soft and gentle as she searched your eyes. You knew she was looking for any hint of you being upset. You weren't, though. You were with her.
Natasha hated your ex-girlfriend about a hundred times more than you did. She'd begged you to let her sneak over to her house at night and slash her tires and egg her house. You'd given that a firm no, not wanting Nat to get in any sort of trouble. It was Natasha's idea to never speak her name again, and to burn a bunch of photos and clothes that were left behind at your house. She'd gone so far as to have the bench you'd once carved your names into removed from the park and replaced with a brand new one... on Tony's Starks card, of course.
"What did she want?"
"Dunno. I told her I was busy," you actually laughed a little for the first time that day. "It wasn't exactly a lie. I was swamped today."
"Hey, if Fury is overworking you, I'll kick his ass."
Imagining Natasha kicking Nicholas Fury's ass was utterly amusing. You had no doubt she could, but Fury was a force. She'd kick his ass and the next day half of S.H.I.E.L.D. would be at her doorstep to retaliate. But he was a good boss. It wasn't his fault you'd procrastinated your own work for days. That was on you, and you knew it. So, you shook your head no, he wasn't overworking you. She seemed satisfied by that, but the topic of your ex wasn't dropped yet.
"Next time she calls you can direct her straight to me."
"Tasha, you won't answer."
"Damn right I won't."
You laughed again. It brought a smile to her face too.
With that, you continued on down the street without another word of she-who-must-not-be-named. You had almost reached the restaurant where Natasha had left the reservations when you stepped on something that most definitely was not concrete. If Natasha hadn't had your hand, your leg sliding out from underneath you would have left you on your ass. She held tight to your hand, her other arm catching you around the waist. You had to force yourself from blushing red as a tomato.
You glanced down at what you'd stepped in and could have punched someone. The white paint that was being used on the storefront had spilled onto the sidewalk and of course, you'd stepped in it in your new, black shoes. You scraped the bottom of it off on the sidewalk, grumbling all the while. Natasha had let go of your hand when you'd tugged it away from her to wipe the excess paint on the side of your shoe onto the post of the 'no parking' sign next to you. It was still ruined, but at least you'd gotten enough off that you wouldn't stain the restaurant's floor.
"You weren't kidding with the bad luck, huh?"
You shook your head no. You motioned onward, though. She got the hint, and you closed the distance between you and the restaurant. You shifted your bag on your shoulder as you stepped in, hoping they wouldn't notice the wet paint you were tracking onto their floors. If you managed in and out without them seeing, you'd be alright. It was New York City. You were sure people had walked in with worse things on the underside of their shoes.
You watched Natasha closely as she gave her name for the reservation. You hated how the host eyed her even more than you hated how your Uber driver had eyed you this morning. You didn't want anyone to eye her like that. You wanted to be the only one allowed to look at her like that. You knew you weren't, though. You ripped your gaze away from where it had been travelling along her jawline just in time for the host to arrive and lead you to your table. You sat across from her, keeping your eyes down and you collected your thoughts.
"What are you having?"
When you looked up, her eyes were trained on you. Her eyes were your absolute favourite part of her. They always shone so brightly, and so clearly expressed whatever she was feeling. They sparkled like they could see into your very soul and were so deep you could get lost in them for hours. Even the colour was perfect. They were that amazing shade of green that had very quickly become your favourite colour. You often found you'd been staring into them for a little longer than what might be considered normal. Now was one of those times. You looked back down at the menu.
"I'm not sure. Definitely a drink," you hummed. "Though I might get poisoned."
She rolled her eyes. "I don't think your luck is so bad that your assassin will choose to poison you today."
No, because she would protect you from anything. She always had. You might have been a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and perfectly capable of protecting yourself, but she was always stepping in front of you to defend you. You couldn't say you minded. You liked having her at your back. Some people had a physical location where they felt safe. You didn't. Natasha Romanoff was your safe place. When you were with her, you felt like nothing in the world could touch you. She wouldn't let anything hurt you, and you wouldn't let anything hurt her.
Soon enough the waitress was stepping up to your table and taking your order. You gave yours first, opting for a simple fettuccine alfredo. Natasha gave hers, unaware of the way you watched her lips moving as she talked. When the waitress left and she looked back to you, your eyes were cast toward the window, watching a young couple pass by, huddled close together in the cool March evening. When she called for your attention and you gave it immediately, looking over to her. She sipped her wine as you did.
"You said your car wouldn't start?" She said.
"Yeah. It keeps sputtering on and on."
"I'll drive you home and take a look at it tonight. I know a thing or two about cars."
It was a good thing she did, because you knew absolutely nothing about what was going on under the hood of the car. All you could think was that maybe the battery had died on you, but that wasn't possible. If you'd left the lights on, you would have been able to see it through the window in your bedroom the night previous, and you hadn't. There was no other reason the battery could have been drained. You'd driven the car yesterday from your house to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s New York location. You might not have known what the hell was wrong, but Natasha would figure it out in seconds. The thought of her bent over to study the underside of the hood made you shiver.
The image was pushed from your mind when the waitress returned with your food. She placed your pasta down in front of you and you thanked her politely. She set Natasha's down as well. The redhead smiled widely and after double-checking that everything was alright, the server left the two of you to your dinner. Natasha glanced up at you, a very amused smile playing on her lips. You knew exactly what it was about, too. You'd gotten the wrong order and said absolutely nothing of it. Honestly, you didn't really care. At this point in the day, you just wanted to eat.
"You could've said something," Natasha teased.
"It's nothing. I'm hungry and this is just as good."
"We can still say something."
"It's fine," you assured.
"Let's stop and buy you a couple hundred good luck charms on the way back to your place."
You laughed aloud.
Dinner was good, despite having gotten the wrong order. You suspected that was due to Natasha's presence. The two of you had been exchanging stores of the craziest missions you'd ever gone on. Of course, she was winning. She was an Avenger. Your missions as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent were anything but boring, but they didn't compare to the alien invasion last year that Natasha had been at the heart of. You'd been helping from the edges of the city, evacuating civilians and the like, but you suspected she'd killed hundred more of the Chitauri than you did: one.
Before long you'd both finished, and the empty plates were cleared away. The server returned to you with the bill. You made sure your card was out before Natasha could even think about trying to pay. They collected your card, and you gave Natasha a very smug little smirk. She only rolled her eyes and thanked you softly. You thought all was said and done when the server returned. You prepared to leave but she shook her head, signalling you to stop what you were doing. She reached out, handing you your card back. You took it.
"I'm afraid the transaction isn't going through."
It seemed that your bad luck had struck again. You were fully confident that there was enough money in your account. There had been last night when you'd checked it, anyway. Either you'd had the misfortune of your card deciding to kick the bucket while you tried to buy dinner for Natasha, or even worse, someone had gotten into your bank account and cleared it out. That thought made your heart drop into your stomach as you reached for your phone, hardly noticing Natasha pulling out her own credit card this time.
You prayed for one tiny bit of luck today. Your prayers went unanswered. You logged into your online banking to find that someone had managed to get your credit card number and had been online shopping all day. Your card had long hit its limit and you were already dreading the phone call you were about to have with the bank. You huffed as you set your phone down roughly on the tabletop. Natasha glanced over at you as the server took her card this time. She raised an eyebrow. You were sure smoke was billowing from your ears.
"Luck isn't turning yet?"
You didn't answer that. "Thanks for dinner, Natasha."
She laughed. When the server returned her card and wished you both a good evening, she took your hand and dragged you back out the doors onto the noisy streets of New York. She was leading you back to S.H.I.E.L.D., where you knew she must have left her bike. When you got there, she scanned her ID and brought you both down into the parking garage. She brought you right to the motorbike and lifted the helmet off from where it was hanging on the handlebars. She reached out and set it on your head, doing it up underneath your chin. Her fingers brushed your skin as she worked at the straps.
"Normally I would never condone riding without a helmet, but I only have one. This head," she said, rapping her knuckles twice against the helmet on your head. "Is much more important than mine."
"Is not," you laughed. "There's hundreds of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but there's only six Avengers."
"And there's only one you," she insisted. "The helmet stays on that pretty little head of yours, and that's final."
That compliment seemed to awaken the butterflies in your stomach. They were still present when you both climbed onto the bike. They fluttered even more when Natasha told you to put your arms around her and hold tight. You could have stayed like this forever if she'd asked you to. You almost wanted her to ask you to, because you loved the ways your arms fit perfectly around her waist. Facing forward, she wasn't able to see the smile that was growing on your lips. Maybe all that bad luck was to make up for this.
Reluctantly, you took your arms off from around her when she pulled into your driveway. She put the kickstand down and took the helmet once you'd pulled it off and handed it back to her. You straightened out your hair a little bit in the reflection of your car window. Wordlessly, Natasha had moved to the hood of your car and tapped on the red paint to get your attention. You unlocked the car and popped the hood for her. She unhooked the latch and lifted it up, studying the inside carefully. That scene you'd been picturing earlier was coming true before your eyes.
"Start the car for me?"
You nodded. You dropped your bag on the doorstep, digging through the pockets until your hand had closed around your car keys. You withdrew them by tugging on the dinosaur keychain that Natasha had once given you after winning it at the arcade, where you'd spent hours at all the different games. You slid into the front seat, turning on the car when Natasha gave you the thumbs up. The car sputtered loudly. Then it made a sound you might have mistaken for a gunshot. The backfire nearly made you jump out of your seat. You quickly got out.
"You alright, Nat?"
"I'm good," she nodded. She moved away from the car. "It's probably just your spark plugs. When's the last time you had them replaced?"
You raised an eyebrow. "Hell if I know. I drop it off for a tune-up and expect them to tune it up."
Natasha laughed. "I'll grab some tomorrow and replace them for you."
You nodded. You watched as she reached up and grabbed the hood of the car, closing it again. She rubbed her hands against her pants. You clicked a button on your car keys, locking the doors. The lights flashed to indicate that it was indeed secured. You fiddled with the keys in your hand to get the house key out, opening your mouth to invite Natasha in as well, but found you couldn't find the golden key. You growled at nothing and dug through every pocket in your bag to see if it had fallen off in there, but there was no trace of it.
"My house key is missing."
Natasha actually laughed at this. "Did you walk under a ladder this morning? Spill the salt? Break a mirror?"
You glared at her. "Can you help me get in through a window?"
She nodded. You both moved around to one of the windows that you'd left open last night, after telling her you weren't sure you had locked it when you shut it this morning. Indeed, she found that once you'd removed the screen, she was able to slide the window open. You linked your fingers together to make a spot for Natasha to use for leverage. You boosted her through the open window and then moved back to the front door just as you heard the deadbolt slide out of place.
"My hero," you grinned as she opened the door. "I owe you a drink. Come on."
"I still have to drive home."
"Stay the night," you offered. "If you don't, I could very well just get murdered tonight."
Natasha laughed. "Well, I'd better stay and make sure you're okay, then."
You smacked her gently. She knew her way around your small bungalow well, having visited what could have easily been a million times. She made herself at home on the couch, tossing her leather jacket beside her. You moved into the kitchen, only paying half a glance at the towels you'd thrown over the two spilled beverages. You poured the both of you a drink and then brought them into the living room, kicking back on the couch beside her. You grabbed the remote, clicking the TV on. The screen lit up the room. Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed the beautiful face beside you that had been illuminated. You turned back to the screen.
"I can put Netflix on," you said, pressing a button. "What do you want to watch?"
"Can I test your luck?"
"What?" You responded, turning your full attention to her.
She didn't offer an explanation. You felt her hand touch your thigh. Your breath hitched and the remote almost fell to the floor. You managed to set it down on the table as your cheeks began to burn red. She left her hand there for a few seconds before it slid away, letting you take a moment to remember how to breathe. Her hand moved away and wrapped around her glass. You knew how obvious you were being when you watched her touch the rim to her lips and the slight movements in her neck as she swallowed the alcohol. You needed a drink too, but you were frozen.
"I just mean... I could either turn your luck around or just maintain the bad luck."
You still didn't know what she meant. She was setting her glass down on the coffee table. Her eyes searched yours and you were once again tossed into the sea of green that you were so obsessed with. When she leaned forward and connected your lips, though, you lost sight of emerald green. Her eyes had shut and only a second later, yours had fluttered shut as well. You put a hand on the back of her neck to hold her closer and moved your lips with hers. You wondered briefly if you were dreaming. You didn't have long with your thoughts. Your mind was so overcome with whatever was happening right now.
Natasha pulled back. Her hand had, at some point, moved back onto your thigh, and was resting there gently. Your hand moved to cover it. She flipped hers over so that her fingers could intertwine with yours and for the first time, it didn't feel like it was just in a friendly manner. It felt so much more than that, just liked you'd wanted it to. Your eyes moved from there up to her face. She had been studying you intently. You'd never seen Natasha Romanoff look nervous. Not until that very moment. You chuckled a little, nervousness in your chest as well, and let your eyes fall.
"You definitely turned it," was all you said.
"Yeah?"
"By a long shot. I mean, I think this amount of good luck was enough to actually balance out the bad luck."
You didn't know Natasha could giggle, but she did. The sound made a smile immediately spread over your face. You reached out and took her hands in your own. You leaned forward and kissed her again, infatuated with the feeling of her soft lips pressed against yours so rough and yet somehow so soft. One of your hands pulled out of hers so it could thread through the red waves on her head. You'd wanted to do that for so long. She only pulled back when you'd both lost your breath. Your forehead rested against hers and you could smell the whiskey on her breath.
"Do you know how long I've wanted that?" You breathed.
"I'd guessed it, but I thought it was just my imagination because I wanted the same thing."
You laughed. She put her hands on your shoulders, pushing your back down against the couch and then putting her knees on either side of your waist. Her lips were on yours again, a little hotter this time. You didn't complain. You just let her lean down over you and kiss you and run her hand down your side. You only raised a hand to her chest and pushed her away when you once more felt the need for oxygen burning inside your chest. She didn't move far, face inches from yours, studying you this time from above. You blushed under her gaze.
"I... I've felt really strongly about you for a while," you said, hand moving so you could trace your fingertips across her cheek. "You know what I mean?"
"Are you trying to tell me you love me without saying you love me?" She asked, the teasing back in her voice again. "Because you're not going to scare me off. You can say it if you want."
"I love you, Natasha."
"I love you, too."
You couldn't help but laugh. It wasn't funny in any way, but maybe it was the relief trying to find a way out of your body. The sound seemed to make Natasha's eyes, sparkle. Your heart softened and the laughter fell from your lips and you didn't move a muscle. Her face was so beautiful looking down at you like it was. You felt so right having her touch you like this and touching her the way you were. Her hands were holding her torso up above yours and yours were touching her face so gently. It wasn't like a friend touched a friend anymore.
"Thanks for turning my luck."
"Are you kidding me? I'm the lucky one."
"I think we're both really fucking lucky, Natasha. Thank you."

Years Together (Sergio Ramos)
A/N: Here I am, back with my first football little one-shot, or multiple parts since this is based on a TikTok. Anyway, I wanted to do it on bae, Sergio Ramos. I love this man, I would sacrifice a whole lot of things for this man. I know I usually write Mayans, specifically Angel, but I wanted to branch out. Be on the lookout for Rio, Billy Russo and Bucky Barnes. Maybe even Lewis Tan, Sebastian Stan are on the horizon. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy what I write still. If you don’t read, totally understandable, I still love you all!
I will try to finish all my works in progress along with the requests I have! EZ should be next since I’m almost done with his, I just have to actually finish it.
Love you all!

CREDITS TO THE GIF MAKER <3
You sat beside Sergio as he watched the next Marvel film in the series of chronological order for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So far, you two were at Iron Man II. Sergio has been either working out or watching film during the quarantine. La Liga was set to reconvene in two weeks and you were honestly excited. Though you couldn’t go to the matches, at least Sergio and the boys would be gracing your screens again.
You and Sergio have been together for nine years and in those ten years, you two have had two sons together, Sergio Jr. and Thiago. You two were set to get married this year, but with the pandemic happening, you thought it would be best to postpone the wedding till all your friends and family could safely participate.
With the pandemic happening, your work has been moved to a home setting. You actually didn’t mind holding meetings and working at home, it made things so much easier for you. You could take care of the boys, with Sergio’s help and also be able to stay safe. Sergio was holding Thiago, your three year old, while Junior, your five year old was nestled right beside you.
“Should we order dinner? Or are we cooking?” You questioned him.
“Pizza?” Sergio has been indulging due to the pandemic and it wasn’t like the calories were staying on him. Sergio worked out far too much for the calories to really make a dent to his ungodly body.
You ordered pizza through an app, letting Sergio pick the toppings. You all got your own personalized pizza that was the perfect size for one person. You also got some cheesy bread since your sons were a sucker for cheese and so were you.
You scrolled through TikTok as the movie began. TikTok has become an obsession you couldn’t drop. It was ridiculous, but the endless hours you spent on this app was dangerous. You even made an account. You’ve posted a few TikTok’s of you messing with Sergio, but nothing too insane as of yet. You did want to try one with Sergio, to see how he would react to this specific TikTok. There was a TikTok going around where the person gets the number of years together wrong and their partner reacts. There were a varying amount of reactions and you wanted to see what Sergio would say.
Setting up your phone to record him, you focused the camera on Sergio, who was enjoying some juice you made earlier in the day.
“Babe,” you called out.
“Hmm,” his eyes remained on the screen.
“You know what I find insane? My sister just texted me and told me that we’ve been together for seven years. That’s a long time huh?” You had to hold back your laughter. You didn’t think Sergio was paying attention since he’s been occupied by the Marvel Cinematic Universe since he finished his morning workout.
Sergio paused the movie and looked back at you. “Seven years? Who have you been dating for seven years?” He gave you an incredulous look. “We’ve been together for ten years, five months, three weeks, 5 days, and six hours.”
The details he uttered made you speechless. You knew how long you two were together by at least years and months, but he knew the weeks, days and hours?
“What?” You looked at him in disbelief. “You know all of that?”
“Yes, of course I do. I still don’t think you understand how long I waited for you to agree to go on a date with me.” Sergio shook his head. “Now, who the hell have you been dating for seven years. I can text our sister right now.”
You’ve known Sergio since childhood through your sister. He wasn’t much older than you, just by a few years. Your sister was never fond of the idea of you dating Sergio, so you kept him at arm's length, but after the 2010 World Cup, you changed your mind and said screw it. You went on one date with Sergio and the rest was history. You two were on and off, but Sergio never let too much time pass till he waved the white flag. He had a temper and you liked to push him. You two were volatile, but somehow, you two made it work. He loves fiercely and so do you. Sergio always knew you were the one, he always said it was the way you would ignore him that got him.
But you weren’t ignoring him, you just didn’t like him.
And the dislike eventually grew to fondness to friendship and then to love.
“Babe, it's a prank.” You stopped recording, saving the video as a draft and showing him where you got the idea from.
Sergio looked at you and shook his head. “You’re such damn trouble.” He chuckled, playing the movie once again. “I’m gonna have to start watching some videos, just so we can be at an even playing field.”
“Do you know the seconds too?”
“That’s pushing it.”
You had to laugh at that. “That’s pushing it?”
Sergio turned to you and kissed you. Junior let out a giggle along with your youngest son Thiago. “Babe, you’re the longest commitment I’ve had besides being in the Madrid team. So yes, I value and keep track of how long we’ve been together, pretty soon, I’ll be counting marriage years.”
“You know, we should just get married at a courthouse. All we need is your mom, my mom and there we go. Hell, we can even do it virtually.”
Sergio paused the movie again. “I want you to have your dream wedding.”
“I don’t have one, I just want to be married to you.”
Sergio chuckled and shook his head. “You know that’s what I want to, but I want us to be able to celebrate with our family and friends. To really enjoy the fact that we’ve annoyed them with our PDA for ten years.”
You laughed. “You’re such a dork.” You pushed his head. “Okay, we can wait. As long as I become Mrs. Ramos at the end.”
“Baby, there’s no way you won’t be Mrs. Ramos at the end. I told you three years in, it’s you and me.” Sergio squeezed your thigh. “Te queiro mi amor.” He kissed you again.
And it was true, Sergio had told you he was going to marry you some day on your third year anniversary. You brushed it off and said we’ll see next year. And each year after that, Sergio upped his game. Finally, on your eight year anniversary he proposed. It’s not like he didn’t want to do it earlier, but he knew for some reason you weren’t ready. A relationship was one thing but an engagement was another.
“Love you too.” You had your hand at the back of his neck, scratching it, a gesture Sergio absolutely adored.
You two watched the movie, mostly Sergio whole you browsed around TikTok. You started saving videos to do with Sergio. Another one you wanted to do was the ‘what three things would you take with you if we got divorced’?
But you would save that for next time.
Let the TikTok videos begin.

Title: Cookie Thief
Theme: December 16 (Cookies/ Baking/ Gingerbread)
Fandom/ Character: AEW/ Darby Allin
Warnings: Fluff, Darby Getting in Trouble
Word Count: 796
🍪 I don’t own any of the GIFs or Photos in this
🍪 This is my first time writing, so please let me know what you think.
🍪 The cookies mentioned in this my family has made every Christmas for as long as I can remember.
Summary: Danyelle knew it was going to be a tiring day baking cookies, but then she saw that the cookies she was working on slowly started to disappear. She knew her boyfriend was the cookie thief and knew exactly what to say to get him to stop.
❄Sam/Samuel ~ Darby❄
Tumblr media
Dany's POV:
Walking into the kitchen, I was prepared to spend most of the day standing at my pizzelle maker. I loved everything about the cookies, but it took forever to make them. I had dressed in something I knew wouldn’t cause me to get overheated. I even had my purple, yellow, blue, and green hair pulled out back out of the way.
Tumblr media
Going over to the fridge I grabbed the huge bowl of pizzelle batter that I made last night and put it on the counter to soften to make it easier to scoop out. After plugging in the pizzelle maker to get it heated up, I got all the pans set out to put the cookies on, then turned on the music app on my phone for some background noise. Once the pizzelle maker was heated up I grabbed the spoon and fork I’d need. I scooped the batter into the machine to make the first four cookies of the season. I grabbed one of the island chairs to sit on, knowing this would be a several hour job.
As I was finishing up the second dozen, Sam came in and wrapped his arms around my waist, kissing my cheek. Pulling back, he leaned against the counter beside me, “It smells so good in here. I’m tempted to steal a couple now.”
“Don’t you dare Sam.This batch is going to our coworkers. I’ll make another batch for us later.”
“Alright. I’ll get out of your way.” Sam then headed out the backdoor to hopefully keep out of trouble.
It had been another hour and I was only about a quarter of the way done though the batter when Sam walked in on his phone, interrupting my belting out Once Upon a December. Sam smiled sheepishly and gave me a quick kiss, knowing I was annoyed that he interrupted one of my favorite songs. Sam and left the kitchen after grabbing a drink from the fridge, but what I failed to notice was that he took a dozen cookies with him.
Another hour passed and I had a little over half the batter gone with what I thought was 12 dozen cookies finished. This time when Sam came into the kitchen again, he put his empty bottle in the recycle bin before grabbing another drink. And yet again I didn't notice him sneak another dozen.
The next time he came through, I was almost done with making the pizzelles. In total I should have had about 24 dozen cookies. Sam came over, putting his arms around my waist and kissing my check then resting his head on my shoulder. I immediately knew he was up to something. And I found out real quick. He took one hand off my waist, only to stick a finger in the batter and put it in his mouth. I just stared at him unimpressed when he let go. "Was that really necessary?"
"What, I can't help that it tastes really good." He said grinning at me.
I turned back to the pizzelle maker, to take the cookies out that were finished. When I turned to stack them with the others, I saw Sam with a cookie in one hand eating it and a stack in his other.
"SAMUEL RATSCH!! YOU PUT THOSE COOKIES BACK THIS INSTANT!! I SWEAR IF YOU TAKE ANOTHER COOKIE, YOU WILL NOT GET ANY SEX FOR A WEEK!! ”
I must have scared Sam because he jumped. And when he jumped, he dropped the stack of cookies, breaking them in the process. Sam looked at the cookies he dropped and pouted then looked up at me. “I promise Sam, you’ll get some cookies tomorrow. Now I love you to death, but please don’t steal anymore cookies.”
“I love you too, and I promise not to steal anymore cookies. Is there anything you need help with?”
“Can you get the tins ready for me? Then after I’m finished with this last bit, we’ll start packing them up.”
“No problem.” He leaned down and kissed me before doing as asked. The rest of the afternoon Sam didn’t steal anymore cookies, and he even got some that were left over.
A/N: These are what pizzelle cookies look like for anyone wondering.

Online Match (Marcus Moreno x Reader)
Tumblr media
Not my GIF
A/N: this was suggested but the lovely @bensolobutterflies who suggested about Marcus falling for Missy’s teacher. And this is such a Marcus trope so I had to do it! I hope this is acceptable. I got a little political about teacher somewhere in the middle but hopefully it’s not too bad. The messaging parts might be laid out a little weirdly. I didn’t really know how else to lay it out but I tired to make it decent? Again, I used Spanish but I don’t speak it so it may be wrong. I hope you enjoy. Sorry for any mistakes. Stay safe.
Genre: fluff
Warnings: Fem!reader, Marcus being a soft boy, Missy and Anita being match makers, nerves, just whole lotta fluff
Summary: When Missy signs him up for online dating, Marcus wonders whether the girl he really likes will be on there too...
The first time he had met her, it was her first week. She had hosted a parents meeting, not just do discuss the wellbeing of the children she taught but to introduce herself to the parents.
Now Marcus wasn’t one who believed his love at first sight. He had always said that you don’t fall in love with someone before you even know them. But when he first saw (Y/N), he fell deeper than he ever had before.
Perhaps it was just his want to be with some that was lurking deep deep inside him that caused him to fall for her so quickly. Or maybe it was because she just seemed so...perfect. Everything about her was just perfect. Her hair, her eyes, her nose, her smile, the way she spoke, the way she dressed. All of it was just perfect. And he liked her. A lot.
But he thought it would be complicated. Dating his daughters teacher was sure to come with complications. No doubt there was a rule against it somewhere. Most likely he would come out okay, but he didn’t want to risk her possibly loosing her job. Not that he would ever admit his feelings for her. He wasn’t brave enough to jump back into the dating pool. Although both Missy and his mother had been hounding him about it for months now.
They had both noticed how lonely he seemed. Of course he would always say that he didn’t need anyone so long as he had them, but they both knew he needed someone. He needed to start dating again. Missy was making that very clear to him.
“So Dad, I was thinking that we sign you up for online dating” she said nonchalantly as she munched on her dinner. Marcus nearly chocked on his coffee at her words.
“Missy” he said, wiping his mouth to ensure no coffee had spilled “have you and Abuela been discussing this again?”
“We’re just trying to make sure your happy, Dad. You deserve someone to love and someone who loves you back”
“I have you, honey” he smiled “I love you”
“I love you too. But seriously. You deserve someone. You’ve had to be both dad and mum. It would be good to split it” Marcus didn’t respond to this, so Missy carried on “so, we signed you up for online dating”
“You what?” He almost yelled.
“We signed you up for online dating” she repeated. “Here” she grabbed his phone from his hand and went about downloading the dating app do his phone. He watched in interest as she signed him in. “See”
“Why would you do that?”
“Maybe this will be a bit easier for you to get back into dating instead of doing it the old fashioned way of actually going out and talking to people. I mean, get with the times dad”
“The last time I dated someone, going out and talking to people were the times” he chuckled as he took his phone back. “It’s getting late Missy” he said looking at the time on his phone “hurry and finish your food” he told her. He stood and took his now empty coffee mug over to the sink and washed it out before placing it on the side.
It wasn’t long before she had finished and brought her plate over to the sink, he could clean it tomorrow. “Up to bed” he told her whilst rustling her hair. She sighed and dragged herself up the stairs to her bedroom.
Marcus headed upstairs a short while later and peaked his head into her room to see she was just getting into her bed “you got everything you need?” He asked her. She nodded in response “okay. Night Missy”
“Night Dad” she yawned before rolling over and pulling the covers over her. He pulled her door shut and made his way to his own room, where he stripped off his shirt and jeans and grabbed his pyjamas bottoms and slipped those in before climbing into his bed.
Try as he might, sleep never seemed to come easy to Marcus. He tossed and turned for ages and still sleep didn’t come. Even when it would, it would last long. He was a light sleeper thanks to his job as a Heroic. He was quick to give up on trying to get to sleep and reached for his phone instead. Hoping that somehow that could make his tired.
Marcus lay in bed holding his phone staring at his profile on this dating app that he had been signed up too. He had to admit, they did a good job at making it. It definitely did show his best features, but it wasn’t like people didn’t know who he was. But it showed perhaps a more unknown side of him.
Even so, most of the people who messaged him only really did because he was the Leader of the Heroics. He wasn’t about that. He didn’t want to be with someone just because of his title. As cheesy as it sounds, he wanted someone who would like him for him.
Marcus bit his lip as he thought. He wondered. Wondered if (Y/N) would be on there. It wouldn’t hurt to check right? There’s no harm in just seeing if she was in there. But he hesitated. He thought it was a little weird. But it wasn’t like he would have to message her if she were on there.
He bit the bullet and searched her name. Surprisingly to him, there were actually quite a few on there. He scrolled down and down looking at each profile for her. He wasn’t holding on to much hope that she was on there, but she was. The second to last profile was her. He clicked on it and was put into a trance by her profile picture. It was a sweet picture of her with what he guessed was her dog. He didn’t know she had a dog. Not that that was a problem. He loved dogs.
His thumb hovered over the chat icon on his screen. He debated with himself for a solid minute about whether he should message her. Would it be weird? It was late, she would probably be asleep. But he could say hi. Right?
So he did. He wasn’t exactly sure how he managed to do it. The few seconds it took him to type out his message of ‘Hi (Y/N)’ and send it just seemed to be a moment of black in his memory.
“Shit” he swore audibly. He messed about trying to figure out how to delete the message but he couldn’t. “Shit shit shit” he whispered sharply as he sat up and threw his phone to the foot of his bed in embarrassment.
He buried his head in his hands, filled with instant regret. How would he be able to face her now? Surely she would hate him. Think he was weird. Now he would never have a chance with her.
A soft ding came from his phone to indicate he had a notification. To be honest, at first, he didn’t twig that it could’ve been from her. He just assumed it was from something else. But when he looked at his phone he saw it was a notification from the dating app.
She had replied.
(Y/N): Hi Marcus. This is a surprise
What did that mean? Was she happy he messaged her? Was she just being nice? Was he looking too deep into this? Yes, probably.
Marcus: a good surprise?
(Y/N): Yes. A good surprise :)
Marcus smiled at her message.
Marcus: it’s pretty late. Why are you still up?
(Y/N): I’m lesson planning
Marcus: lesson planning at 10:30?
(Y/N): a usual night for me. Why are you still up?
Marcus: I’m used to not sleeping. My job often required all nighters.
He felt like such a teenager. Staying up late talking to the girl he liked. They spoke all through the night. It was nice. He didn’t feel obliged to say anything particularly to her. They were just talking. Getting to know each other better from what they already did.
Marcus was smiling throughout the whole of their interaction and was wondering if she was doing the same. He wondered if she was as happy to be talking to him as he was talking to her.
She was.
She had completely abandoned her laptop for her phone. The lesson planning being forgotten. He was all she was thinking about. He was all she wanted to think about. Because he had reached out to her, she began to wonder if maybe he liked her back. Surly he must’ve right? Other wise he wouldn’t have messaged her in the first place.
Then she thought that he must’ve looked for her. She thought it was unlikely that she would just happen to pop up on his app. This made her heart flutter and she smiled brighter. Even though it was over messages, she hadn’t had as nice a conversation as that one in a very long time. She wasn’t the most sociable person, which made any one who knew her question as to why she became a teacher. She didn’t really have much of a life outside the classroom (so she matched the classics idea that students had about teachers).
They talked until gone midnight and Marcus decided to call it there for the night. He knew that she probably needed to rest before having to teach the next day. But he didn’t want to stop talking to her. He was really enjoying himself. But he had to be fair to her. Just because he couldn’t sleep, didn’t mean he had to stop her from sleeping too.
Marcus: it’s really late (Y/N). You should go to sleep.
(Y/N): I didn’t realise that was the time!
There was a slight pause before she messaged him again.
(Y/N): I really enjoyed talking to you Marcus. Like...really enjoyed it. It was nice to just talk.
He smiled brightly at this, knowing she felt the same about their conversation as he did made him happy.
Marcus: I’ve enjoyed it too (Y/N). I don’t really get the chance to just talk to people now really
There was another pause. This one was longer than the last and it made him a little anxious.
(Y/N): can we talk again tomorrow?
He had to hold back his cheer. His heart leapt with joy in his chest at her words. It didn’t seem anything extravagant really, but it meant she wanted to talk to him. Maybe she did like him back. It was now that he was kind of thankful that they weren’t talking face to face. He could hide his initial reaction from her.
Marcus: of course. I’d like that
(Y/N): I’d like that too. I better get some sleep. Goodnight Marcus.
Marcus: goodnight (Y/N)
Marcus dropped his phone to his chest and beamed up at the ceiling. He hadn’t felt that happy in a very very long time.
Over the next few week, they continued to talk. They got closer and closer. And they learnt more about each other with every message. And with every message, they feel more for each other. But if they saw each other in person, because of the school setting, they didn’t show that they had been talking.
But Missy was becoming suspicious of Marcus. He was on his phone a lot more often than usual. But any time she tried to ask what he was doing, he would always just say nothing and put his phone down.
And then the fateful day came where he finally asked her out. They had been talking throughout the day but Marcus thought it was time they actually move the growing relationship further. After all, that’s what the site was for.
Marcus: (Y/N). I’ve been thinking...
(Y/N): about what?
Marcus: well...This is a dating site. So would you want to go on a date with me? An actual date?
There was a long pause. A very long pause. Marcus’s heart sank. Maybe she didn’t want to go any further than a friendship. Had he made things awkward now? Had he completely ruined his chance with her?
(Y/N): Absolutely!! I’d love to go on a date with you Marcus! xx
The two kisses at the end made his cheeks burn slightly. He felt relief in his heard and went about making plans with her for their date. They decided on dinner. A classic first date. It wasn’t to anywhere overly fancy, god knows teachers don’t get paid enough to eat in fancy restaurants. They set a day and a time and Marcus couldn’t contain his excitement.
He couldn’t hide it from Missy anymore.
“Okay” she said annoyed, filing her arms as she stood in the kitchen door way as he leant on the counter next to the sink. “What’s going on? You’re acting weird. You’re way happier than normal. Tell me Dad”
Marcus turned to look at his daughter and set his phone down. “You really want to know?” He asked.
“Yeah!” She exclaimed.
“Alright. Fine” he drew in a deep breath and pushed himself up so he was standing up straight “I’ve...met someone”
“What?!” She beamed “you have? This is amazing! Is she nice? Is she pretty? Are you going on a day with her?”
“Yes, yes and yes” he said quietly “Friday. At 6. Will you be okay is Grandma comes and looks after you while I’m out?”
“Only if I get to meet your new girlfriend!”
“I wouldn’t say she’s my girlfriend just yet” Marcus laughed nervously “but she’s coming here first before we go, so yes, you will get to meet her. Just...don’t be...disappointed or weirded out by who it is”
“I won’t be! She must be something to make you keep smiling all the time! This is so awesome! I have to go tell Abuelita!”
“Wait you don’t have to-“ he couldn’t finish his sentence before she had run off upstairs to call her grandma.
Marcus shook his head and looked back at his phone.
Marcus: Missy seemed pretty excited that I’ve got a date
(Y/N): did you tell her who it was? xx
Marcus: no. I wanted it to be a surprise. Do you want me to tell her?
(Y/N): I don’t mind. If you want to wait, it doesn’t bother me. I’m just excited for Friday!! xx
Marcus: I’m excited too. I’m so excited. I know it doesn’t really seem like it. But I’m still it very good at the whole technology thing
(Y/N): oh Marcus! You make yourself out to be so much older than you are! But I can tell you’re excited. Xx
(Y/N): I’ve got to go. But I’ll try and talk to you a little later xx
Marcus: okay x
The days between then and Friday seemed to drag on. The world just wanted to make them wait it seemed. They talked their nights away when they could, in hopes that would speed up the time. And then finally Friday evening rolled around. And Marcus was freaking out.
“You’ll be fine, mijo” Anita told her son in a knowing voice as she held up her hand to try and calm him as he messed with the sleeves of his shirt “when you see your beautiful date all your worries will fade away”
Marcus glanced up at her but then looked back down at his sleeves “Espero que tengas razón Mamá” (I hope you’re right, mama) he muttered.
“por supuesto que tengo razón! He estado mal antes” (of course I’m right! I’ve never been wrong before) Anita said almost proudly making Missy laugh quietly. This is turn cause Marcus to smile. But that smile fell when the doorbell rang.
Marcus’ face paled. Was it 6 already?
“Dad!” Missy called to him, pulling him from his trance. He looked at her and she motioned for him to head for the door. He stood abruptly and walked towards the door. He took in a deep breath before pulling it open to reveal (Y/N). She flashed him a bright smile and he looked her up at down to see she was wearing a long light blue dress. It wasn’t overly fancy but it looked beautiful.
“Hi Marcus” she said quietly.
“Hi...(Y/N)” he said slowly trying to regain his composure (not that he ever had it in the first place). “Y-You look amazing!”
“Thank you. I’m not too over dressed am I?” She asked looked down at the dress she had chosen.
“No, you’re fine. More than fine. Beautiful actually” he said quickly.
She blushed slightly at his compliment and brushed a piece of hair behind her ear “thank you Marcus” she said “you look nice too. Very handsome”
He couldn’t really say anything. He was too flustered. He let out a small noise and stepped to the side “come in. I um..I need to grab my jacket” she nodded and stepped inside his house, awkwardly following him as he walked into the kitchen.
She stumbled backwards a little when she saw Missy and his mother sat there. She had met Anita on a few occasions, she came to pick Missy up from school a few times. They both looked a little in shock to see her stood there whilst Marcus rooted around for his jacket.
“Miss (L/N)?!” Missy exclaimed.
“Hey Missy” (Y/N) said. She didn’t know why she was suddenly so nervous. It was just weird to be seeing her out of the school setting.
“It’s you? You’re the one my Dad is going on a date with?” She asked.
“Um...yes. I am” (Y/N) said. She looked over to Marcus who had managed to locate his jacket, slipping it on. “It’s not...weird...is it?”
“No!” Missy smiled “this is great! This is awesome! I knew it would be you!”
Both (Y/N) and Marcus let out quiet breaths of relief “she’s a beautiful girl Marcus. And I know she has a kind heart” Anita said with a gentle smile. (Y/N) felt Marcus’ hand on her lower back. The small action spread a comforting warmth through her body “now go! Have fun!”
Marcus briefly left (Y/N)’s side to kiss Missy’s head before walking (Y/N) back to the door. They left the house and he walked her to his car “well I think that went well” she said with a nervous laugh.
“It went better than I expected” he said “I thought she would be a little bit weirded out”
“Me too. But I’m glad she wasn’t. And I’m glad your mum took a liking to me too”
“I doubt anyone could not like you (Y/N)” she got in the passenger side of his car whilst he got in the drivers seat. “I, for one, like you. A lot”
“I like you too Marcus. A lot” she leaned over with the intention of kissing his cheek, but he turned at the last second making her lips land on his. That had to have been a scripted event. But neither of them was complaining. They both smiled into the kiss before she pulled back and pulled on her seatbelt.
“Shall we go?” He asked, an ear to ear grin on his face.
“Definitely”

I might succumb to the ask blogs. Either thinking about doing one for Live A Hero's Barrel or Housamo's Gunzo. I don’t know what I’m getting into but, it'll definitely be interesting to try out.

A little late but, I'd like to wish the true Dad of Housamo a very happy but late Father's day. I can't believe that the everyone (including myself) in the fandom forgot OG Dad. Also a happy late Father's day to another true dad of Housamo, Motosumi.

Why I F**king Hate NFTs (And You Should Too)
Tumblr media
I’m back again with another opinion essay and HOO BOY do I have some opinions to share. Today I wanted to talk about NFTs . . and how ungodly shitty they are for a number of reasons which I’ll go into. If you use a number of social media apps fairly regularly, particularly twitter, you may occasionally stumble upon an account that has one of the many . . . . ahem . . .  “”“unique””” monkey profile pictures as depicted above. You would not be unreasonable to assume that these were produced from some popular avatar maker app like Picrew or something, as they have about as much depth as those. But no, sadly, the answer to where all these monkeys come from is a lot dumber and more depressing than that. These are what’s known as NFTs, those things that a bunch of strangers get into heated online debates about (myself very much included, especially recently). But just as often as I see this discourse I see the occasional account ask the inevitable question:
What the hell IS an NFT, anyway?
So allow me to break it down as comprehensibly as I can for those out of the loop.
NFT stands for “non fungible token”. It is a digital art file transformed into a piece of cryptocurrency that has “one of a kind data”. It’s data cannot be replicated, technically making any given NFT the only one of itself in “existence” (I use the term existence very loosely as we are exclusively talking about files in cyber space, remember this). So the idea is that if you own the NFT of an image rather than just any old PNG or JPEG, you technically are the owner of that image, and because it’s the only one of itself in “existence” you can sell it for a high price that’s partially influenced by it’s artificially made scarcity. It’s like the art house auction brought to the web. Many major companies including Adobe, Warner Bros., Mcdonalds and even the Oscar Academy Awards have hopped on this bandwagon of creating art made into “one of a kind” data.
So why is this a bad thing? Plenty of reasons. But let’s start with the most troubling issue.
It’s awful for the environment
Tumblr media
Just like all other forms of cryptocurrency, NFTs are tremendously awful for the environment. The shear amount of power required to create just one NFT is outrageous. How much power does it use? According to the following source, with the energy used to create the average NFT you could power your refrigerator for an entire month.
https://frontiergroup.org/blogs/blog/fg/nfts-hot-new-fad-massive-environmental-cost#:~:text=NFTs%20are%20minted%20on%20the,a%20refrigerator%20for%20a%20month.
directly from the source:
One researcher calculated that a certain artist selling two pieces of artwork used over 175 MWh, creating the greenhouse gas emissions of 21 years of a U.S. household’s electricity use.
Every time I’ve brought up this little nugget of information NFTers either dodge the question with a deflect or outright pretending I never brought it up, or they use the classic “whataboutism” argument where they talk about some equally environment damaging issue as if that makes the salient point about NFTs go away. Sorry, but I’m not entertaining bad faith debate so that you can keep getting in on this scam guilt free. I’m CERTAINLY not entertaining a debate about whether or not climate change is real in the first place. At a time in our history when combating climate change is more important than ever, THIS of the thing that had to start trending. I’m infuriated.
But wait . . did I say NFTs are a scam? What makes this a scam?
It encourages art theft
Some of you may have already caught on to a loop hole back when I was describing what an NFT is. What’s stopping anyone from downloading somebody else’s art off the internet and making it into an NFT before they can? The answer is
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Art thieves have made thousands of dollars from struggling artists hard work doing this.
https://twitter.com/colorblindmess/status/1450598198842593283?s=20
Now, the common argument I hear from NFTers about this is that “theft is inevitable” and “it’s the artists’ fault for not making an NFT first”.
No, you victim blaming sack of shit. I’m not giving you that. Theft is theft and you should be held accountable for it. But of course they never are. How about instead of buying an NFT from someone whom you can’t even verify is the source of the artwork you just commission the artist themselves? It’s both more ethical and more cost effective on your part.
It encourages mass duplication
Let’s go back to the monkey banner I put up at the start of this essay. You may recall me saying that every NFT is “one of a kind” data. If that’s true, why do all these monkeys look so similar: the exact same template even? This is due to another loophole.
See, all somebody has to do to create another NFT from the same image they used before is slightly alter it. This allows you to profit from what is essentially the same image over and over. So despite the idea being “artificial scarcity” the truth is these monkey profile pictures are a dime a dozen. Ironic, isn’t it? I think what’s even weirder than that is these NFT bros want so badly to come off like they’re ahead of the curve but since they all have the same ape profile pic they look more like a cult than pioneers and they’re completely oblivious to it. Considering how they talk and their matching profile pics it honestly feels like I’m always arguing against the same exact person.
These people are selling nothing
At the end of the day, what IS an NFT? It’s just a digital file in a different format. It has no more capacity to be a tangible object than any png or jpeg. a png or jpeg can just as easily show you what’s on the canvas. a png or jpeg can just as easily be made into a print. If you really wanted to, you could even prove that you own that piece of digital art just as easily by requesting a receipt file designated to you from the artist you are commissioning, and probably for a lower price. an NFT isn’t a piece of digital art. It’s the deed of a piece of digital art. It’s a scam to make suckers think they have more than they have and the only way they stop being suckers is if they sell it to somebody else for more. NFTs are a game for scammers and suckers only. You’re either horribly naive or a terrible terrible person for getting into NFTs. There is no inbetween.
NFTs are Anti Art
So admittedly this section is more an opinion piece than stating the cons with sources to back it up. But I stand by this point as if it were equally as factual. NFTs are anti art. Because NFTs aren’t about what’s on the canvas. They aren’t about the skill it took to create the art. They aren’t about having something that speaks so fully to you and you alone.
They are exclusively for making money.
It’s the only reason you would care about being the sole owner of a digital file. Because if you actually cared about the art itself, why would it matter to you how many other people have it? Why would it’s price tag matter to you? Art is about what makes it valuable to you, not whether or not it’s valuable to everyone else. That’s the antithesis to art. If the only consideration you have for whether or not a piece of art is worthwhile is whether it can be resold at a higher value, then I’m sorry, but you live a horrendously shallow existence.
When I said that NFTs are the art house auction taken to the web, I meant that in the worst possible sense. Because art house auctions are equally pretentious and equally a scam. It’s rich people convincing other rich people of it’s value regardless of its labor, its technique or its message. Its a tax write off. The wealthy donate art to charities as a tax evasion tactic and they take full advantage of art’s subjective nature. It’s value is imaginary and so is the value of NFTs.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dw5kme5Q_Yo
Now, don’t take me to say that NFT creators are never talented. Of course not. I’ve seen plenty of beautiful art made into NFTs and I know very talented people who got in on the craze. I even understand the appeal to an extent: It’s a new way for artists to get well compensated for the work that they do. I’m an artist myself: of COURSE I want artists to be paid.
But not like this. Not at the expense of the planet to this degree. Not at the expense of other artists who become victims of theft. Not at the expense of the heart of what art is meant to be all about.
Art isn’t about  stock value. It’s not about gaming the system. It’s not about the sale or the deal. It’s not about how many people agree to it’s value.
Art is about creating for creating’s sake and buying for the sake of the creation. It’s about creating and purchasing something you love for it’s skill, technique, composition and message. The value of those things cannot be diminished no matter how many other people have the same thing. It’s not lesser in value whether it’s a PNG or a JPEG. It doesn’t tie your room together any less even if somebody else DOES have that print. We can have all of that without the cost of the planet or of artists’ welfare.
So with that spirit, I’d like to encourage the following ETHICAL ways to support artists
-buy prints
-support patreons
-support crowdfunding campaigns
-order commissions
-buy from etsy stores
-spread the word
In light of Adobe’s support of NFTs, I would also like to promote the following alternatives to photoshop, Particularly for their vocal anti NFT stance:
Krita (I especially recommend as a user of the program myself)
Procreate

Happy Women’s History Month, Tumblr! 🎉
In conjunction with our official social impact blog, @action, we wanted to highlight women and non-binary/genderqueer individuals who have made significant contributions in gaming. Our first spotlight feature is Christine Brownell, who talks about The Sims, mentorship, and gives advice to those who want to get a start in gaming. Can’t wait? Neither can we.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got into the gaming industry.
I’m Christine and I’ve been working in the video game industry for fifteen years. I’ve been a lifelong lover of games, but it wasn’t until I was in college that I actually thought about making them as a career.
Starting out in 2003, I landed a job as a game tester, where I was assigned the task of playing Warcraft 3 for hours upon hours each day (I loved it). Eventually, I was able to move up onto the World of Warcraft development team as a quest designer.
After WoW, I worked on a few other massively multiplayer online games (MMOs), before finding my way to Electronic Arts and The Sims team in 2008. In 2013, I left EA and started my own business, which allows me to work with many different types of clients including game companies.
What was it like working on WoW and The Sims? How did it help you grow into your career today?
Working on World of Warcraft was a once in a lifetime opportunity—it was, and still is, an amazing product, and I got to be a part of a team of super talented, dedicated game makers. I feel so fortunate to have started my design career alongside some of the best designers I’ve ever known. The Sims team was also an incredible team to work with. They taught me so much about what it means to understand and serve your audience well.
Which game that you’ve worked on has been the most influential to your career today?
This is a hard question to answer! If I had to choose, I’d say that working on The Sims Social has been the most impactful to my career. When I arrived at Playfish, I was suddenly faced with challenges I had never encountered before on any other project. The team was struggling to get in sync, to be efficient, and to produce and release content at an extremely fast pace. Before I could even get my bearings, I had to jump in and simultaneously figure out where I fit in on the team as well as partner closely with other leads to create and implement a development process that worked for everyone. While the game itself is no more (EA shut it down in 2013), the things that I learned while on that team have stayed with me. I wouldn’t be where I am now if I hadn’t worked with that amazing, crazy team at Playfish.
You’ve spent time mentoring students and others in the industry. Why is mentoring important to you?
Back when I was still in school, I managed to make a couple contacts within the game industry. They were so helpful and generous, answering my questions and giving me pointers on how to get a job. I wouldn’t have made it into games without their support and advice, and we are still friends today.
Feeling grateful for the help they offered me, I knew I wanted to be that for someone else, a “pay it forward” sort of thing. I regularly volunteer my time with a couple of different organizations, and I absolutely love it. I find the enthusiasm of those I mentor so inspiring. It reminds me of how I felt when I first started out.
Is there a particular woman in the gaming industry that inspires you?
If I’m being honest, I can’t choose one. I’m inspired by all women in games. The game industry is a male-dominated field, so women that wish to enter it often have the additional challenge of proving themselves worthy of being there. I wish this wasn’t the case, and it is changing, but that’s the current state of things.
Women that choose to pursue a career in games tend to be very passionate and dedicated. They want to make games, and nothing is going to stop them. I feel lucky to know and have worked with so many creative, hard-working, and brilliant women. I’m inspired by their success and by their determination to do what they love.
What advice would you give to aspiring women who are just starting out or wanting to join the industry?
1. Play. It sounds obvious, but the first piece of advice I’d offer is to play games. People that work in games tend to play games and talk about games—a lot. Keeping current with industry trends is part of the job. So play a wide range of games of different genres on multiple platforms. Develop your own opinions about what works and what doesn’t. Why is one game so successful while another game fails?
2. Learn. Build relevant skills for the job you one day wish to have. If you want to be an artist, make art, every day. If you want to be a coder, take a coding course on your own time, or build an app. An incredible amount of resources for self-directed learning can be accessed via the web, such as tutorials on YouTube or online courses at sites like Udemy. Or just pick up GameMaker, Unity or Unreal and make a game on your own.
3. Don’t give up! The game industry is very competitive; if you want to make it, be prepared to work hard and continually put yourself out there. Look for opportunities to learn, seek feedback on your work, and never give up on your dream.
Want to learn more or connect with Christine? We’ve heard clicking one of this magical links below unlocks a rare, shiny item.

LIVING SOUL-FULL-filling REALities, Inspiration, Focus & Heart-Connected Everything…
Aloha BE-YOU-ti-FUL Divine Light Family,
As always, Today I send/transmit out the most exquisite and beautiful frequencies of Pure Divine Love to all….. holding each of you and our beloved planet in my own Unified heart, having immense gratitude and appreciation for each living and fulfilling their own current roles in every capacity as Pure Source Light too. It doesn’t matter “how” we each do this…. as everyONE is a part of the greater whole and because all is multi-dimensional, the “how” is however we see, however, we are highest guided, however, our purest form of love emanates out from deep within and however we understand this is to be experienced for all as Pure Love here….
Vibrational alignment is very different than previous linear realities were. This is a whole new ballgame, where our hearts-souls-purposes unite us…. Where PURE inner JOY, Peace, Innocence and Deep Sacred Respect and Care are our guiding Light here…
I’ve been offline much these last few months, just because the actual experience is so FULL and PURE, where moments of silence and deep connection need for nothing at all so that when we do come together (for various reasons/purposes), our exchanges are highest aligned and pure as well. These are simple, fun, easy… because our pure hearts connect us … so that what we birth/create is simple, pure and supports all of humanity as well. For me personally, my August was non-stop. Uniting with others, connecting, creating, sharing, laughing, uplifting and inspiring in every way. Rolling over into September, full-on plasma increased substantially and the amount of Light/Source Codes released to integrate were off the charts too. Because this is a Gatekeeper’s and Embodier’s priority, we have to restructure and re-prioritize our lives to honor these immense integration processes, so that we can continually fulfill our highest everything here…
EVOLVING CONSCIOUSNESS TOGETHER, uniting, creating, working together as a unit/team/commUNITY/partners to co-join/share REALities to activate collective Unity Consciousness codes we all hold within, is done on a multi-dimensional level as well. There are sooooo many ways that we do this. It’s beyond beautiful as well. The more we unite, the more of an impact we all make here. It’s been such a pleasure to connect with so many in these various ways and an honor to fulfill service roles together too. An important part of connecting our NEW Earth  Crystalline & Plasma Grids & Systems is how we connect up and share.  ♥
These increasing plasma bursts, blasts, influxes are powerful and support HUMANITY’S Evolution on every level, enhancing each’s natural “super human” abilities a bazillion fold too. Transcending separation on every level and shifting/moving to a ONENESS and UNITY BASED REALity benefits everyone in every way. It’s each’s gift through Pure Presence and the most fulfilling experience too.
Full Processing and Deep Integration first…. then apply those “new” understandings and realization to how you live your own lives here (part of template building)…. vibrationally aligning every reality through Purity and Deep Sacred Connection is what makes a difference for all of us here. Live your lives as LOVE, touching the hearts of everyone that you come into contact with/touch, go the extra mile, do/show/live kindness in every way and unite all through your own energy/actions/presence…. is beyond INSPIRING and benefits on so many levels in every way. Show you CARE, open completely UP, observe yourself, any “mirrors/reflections back” and see your own programs/programming/conditioning/limits and work with resolving/dissolving/unifying all within, realizing that the reality you experience is the one you HOLD FULLY from within… It’s beyond beautiful to witness the vastness of this occurring everywhere!
p.s. I’ve not been writing or doing interviews like before, as my whole entire reality has shifted on every level as well. It’s been more about BEing, connecting and uniting globally (Collective Unity) with various Change-makers through Divine Harmony/Alignment in order to further assist/support on very personal levels, as well as with those in positions to make a huge impact/difference too. We are still “doing” in a multitude of ways, it’s just not publicly/as visible, because our roles continue to evolve/change as we connect/unite with more, fulfill more, create more and anchor more together through Divine Partnerships and building deeper relationships through Purity and Unity Consciousness here. I’m not one to take many personal photos, yet we’ve done a few along the way. I’ll share some in fun later. For now, I’m in gratitude for each of you living your highest, most beautiful and divine sacred Union here too. I’m excited for all of the new timelines available vibrationally for each to activate and incorporate into what we call “reality” here…… ♥ Keep shining bright and letting go/dissolving/resolving/release all that is “now” no longer currently aligned for your highest everything here too!   This is always an important passageway that catapults us all into the next… ♥
Sending you bountiful blessings to accompany you through these powerful passageways/gateways too!

sub!boyfriend baekhyun;
pairings: byun baekhyun x male reader
genre: fluff / nsfw theme
request: Anonymous said : could you write something aimed at a male reader about bottom baekhyun bc 👀👀👀
a/n: wow you guys actually are trusting me with the male reader scenarios. this means a lot really. thanks for requesting, i hope i do you justice. enjoy
Tumblr media
baek, the mood maker of exo.
his jokes are always physical and he has mastered the art of timing.
he loves being the center of attention
so a whiny baby boy who'll do all sorts of stuff to grab your attention
"why are you looking at them?"
"stop watching the stupid tv and listen to me"
kinda dramatic too
"you don't love me like you used to."
"oh i see how it is now, you're bored of me"
"yeah they said this will happen"
at first he genuinely liked you, but he never knew what he wanted from life and trying to think about an entire life with a partner can be really hard for a young him
he absolutely sucks at planning. he likes to live life in the moment. he likes to take things one day at a time. it doesn't mean he can't plan ahead, but it's not what he's naturally inclined to do.
at this point you were already whipped for him. i mean, who wouldn't be? who are you kidding, bro?
he would often brush off things like "yeah, let's meet again sometime," he would never specify a time or date
plus you don’t know which one is exactly a date when which is just a meet-up
and he’s not too sure about you either
he can’t decide if he’s jealous of you, wants to be you, date you, or bone you
his eyes are always trained at you so you can’t tell if he’s
checking you out or sizing you up
which made you feel neglected
he's a powerful sub okay
he has many wrapped around his pinkies
but he also has mischievous and observational eyes
so he senses your frustration
he was not very fast at it but he did
eventually
and then he started communicating properly
replying to your messages on time
returning your feelings in the smallest of actions
“so i was on stage and really nervous because my mic wasn’t working properly but xiumin hyung told me that you’re watching and i just felt this confident wave in me and rocked the stage”
you know how he became free with you?
sending dick pics
his favourite past time
and butt pics too
so put app locks on your gallery please
pouty baby
never putty in anyone’s hands
will have things his way
he’s not dominant when i say he wants things his way, more like a powerful sub who other than the bedroom rules everywhere
coming to the bedroom
he’s the playing clay, the putty soft clay you love playing with
before the do, he sat you down and specified the do’s and don’ts
and also the safe word
“lemon” (don’t ask me why)
he believes in strong communication
so he’s always talking
“i like it when you __”
“i love your body”
“fuck, you taste so good”
he also happens to have a sailor’s mouth
so he’s a vocal person who only sings in profanities in the bed
he starts off first with leading you
but once on the bed, he leaves the reins himself
he loves to bottom
though he doesn’t minds being a top either
my boy is versatile stfu
loves it when you fist him
he’s all about hands too
his hands always find yours
eye contact is a must
he has this type of hooded eyes you know
so his gaze is always intense and his love for eyeliner
only boldens his eyes all the more
he always, always holds your hand while in public
he has this ‘fuck you if you’ve a problem with us’ face if people stare at you guys
another cute thing
you guys have a secret code for i love you
given how drawn baek is towards mysteries
the secret code is morse code
.. / .-.. --- ...- . / -.-- --- ..-

feedback is deeply appreciated.✨

So I just got back from Disney World in Orlando Florida yesterday, and it was an amazing experience. Like all of you, I am an entrepreneur and am proud to have been able to take my family on a Disney Vacation solely from money I have made in my own business! The trip was arranged by Erica at LittleDoleWhips.com, and she made the vacation planning, well, non-existent (thanks!).
Now, because I never seem to stop working, the whole entire time I was at Disney had my wheels spinning in regards to what I can learn from Disney for my business, and YOURS! And there was a lot to learn from Disney, in every way shape and form. So here are some Business Tips I Learned From Disney World that I feel can help any business…
UTILIZE TECHNOLOGY
First thing I love about Disney is their devotion to utilizing technology. Disney has a “My Disney Experience” app which had all of the information that pertains to my trip in one app, and I mean everything! If you’ve never experienced the “My Disney Experience” app, it blew me away. And I myself am a pretty techy guy and consider myself somewhat hard to impress in that aspect. The Disney app had all of my meal plans listed, all of the photos taken by photographers in the park, my complete itinerary and even had a gps-enabled map for each and every park! There was so many features and aspects of our vacation that I could manage, modify, cancel or add via the app, it was simply incredible. You can tweak your Disney trip on the fly constantly via your smartphone. Also, if you get the Memory Maker package, you can get pictures taken throughout the park and within minutes you have the full HD resolution version in the app available for download and sharing with friends and family. This includes not only pictures, you also get edited pictures where they superimpose Disney characters into the pictures with you, as well as placing you in HD videos that depict you with characters, on rides and off. Simply amazing! The magic band (a bracelet) that you receive beforehand links everything to you. Your food, your photos, your fast pass rides and your location, everything! Many procedures are automated via technology, and this makes everything more efficient.
So when considering your business, the following questions may come up:
What part of your business can you automate?
Can you use an app of your own to improve your clients experience?
Can you up-sell a better experience for your clients via an app or a membership perk?
I am sure you can, in fact I am 110% sure you can! Small and large businesses can and should utilize technology every moment they can.
RETAIL OPTIMIZATION
Another aspect about Disney that showed me they really know their stuff, is their retail skills. As far as retail, they are super smart when it comes to selling products. Other theme parks really need to take a look at Disney, because they are super smart. When you go on rides at other parks, you go on the ride, and then get off the ride and walk to your next destination. Disney is super smart and they have their rides exiting into gift shops. So if you love the ride experience you were just on, you can immediately expect to walk into a store that is marketing all products that pertain to that particular ride. So if you were just on a ride that had the seven dwarfs in it, you can expect to exit into a gift store selling Snow White and Seven Dwarfs memorabilia, pictures, clothing, all of that stuff. It’s very smart and anyone can learn from that lesson!
So how can this idea improve your business? Once your client has experienced your service, they should immediately:
be offered products or wearables in your location that will help them keep that great experience memory alive.
be offered an up-sell to the great service they just received, preferably at a “post-purchase” discount offer.
be added to an email list.
Disney is so good at making retail products, some of the products you get from the gift stores have actually grown into monthly membership services! These are for the disney junky in you!

ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Another amazing thing about Disney that any entrepreneur can utilize, is paying attention to detail. You can’t have an authentic experience with anything, if you don’t cover EVERY ASPECT of that experience. For example, when you go to Disney and are in The Little Mermaid’s “Under The Sea” ride, there are bubbles projected everywhere. All of the characters look like they are under water in their movement, you hear water swoosh sounds, and everywhere you look there are coral, fish and sea creatures which confirm in your mind that you are under water. You don’t see exposed I-beams, you don’t see screws or bolts on the wall, you don’t see a bad spackle job or paint job, it is 100% authentic! There is NO DETAIL MISSED. And that’s what gives you the full experience and makes your mind say “okay, I feel like I am under the sea right now.” Obviously we were not wet, but everywhere you look made you feel like you’re underwater with their level of attention to detail. This is what makes Disney a world-class business in my opinion. Take for example the ride “Soarin” at Epcot. While you are flying over a field of flowers, Disney puts the aroma and scent of flowers in the air, when you are flying over Africa and the deserts, you actually smelled dirt in the air, that is a level of detail that cannot be matched.
So how can you apply this to your business? What does your business do? How does your business give your clients “The Full Experience” you would like it too? If you own a brick and mortar location, what is the look and feel you would like your business to have? Once you know the feeling you want to convey, go beyond simply a decent paint job and posters on the wall!
Think about what the full experience should be and add props to better give an authentic feel to your customers.
Offer other small “experiences” throughout your business that support the “main experience.”
Consider having music / aromas that lend to your services experience.
Whatever elements in your location that are “typical,” disguise, remove or better convert them to support the experience.
The Main Experience should be your businesses world class service! Going the extra mile with the ideas above won’t be cheap, and they don’t have to be Disney or cartoony, but these small details will make your business experience that much more authentic to your customer. It will separate your business from the next business that has a decent paint job and pictures on the wall!
INVEST TIME AND TRAINING IN YOUR EMPLOYEES
Another clearly defined aspect of Disney, is its employees. There wasn’t a single Disney employee that did not greet us with a smile and they were all EXTREMELY helpful. When ever I had a question, no matter where I was, as long as I saw someone with a name tag I anticipated a very helpful and friendly response. Even when I felt my question was a dumb question, I knew I wouldn’t feel dumb asking it. That is making your customers feel truly comfortable, and that is true customer support!
How can you be sure to give the same experience to your customers?
Always try to make my clients feel comfortable asking any question
Try to relate to them and speak plain and simple.
Make your customers feel comfortable asking any questions no matter how silly they feel it may be!
The old saying “there are no stupid questions” can really make someone feel comfortable completely educating themselves on and about your business.
IT WONT TAKE YOU 50 YEARS…
Many of these things I notice seem very simple. That is, the concepts are simple but applying them can take a little bit of thinking and head scratching. You would be hard pressed to not be able to learn from most of these tips, no matter what business you are in though!
Tumblr media
The Disney money machine was not made overnight. But we can benefit from their almost 50 years of experience! Maybe making a tangible plan can help you to do so. Writing concepts down on paper make them more actionable than say, bookmarking this page and forgetting about it!
Write it down, make a plan and then start to implement. Even if it takes a year or two to get these things going, it will happen much sooner if you write it down and take that first step! And that can make for some very happy customers, in a very short amount of time! Such as myself and my family are after visiting Disney World in Orlando Florida! And it is no coincidence that within 24 hours of getting home from Disney my wife is already making plans to go back this year! They did their job well, we are hooked on good service
