in the back of my head, there exists an au where Tim lives in our world and is a huge Batman fan and gets transported to one of the DCUs.

in my head, the Robin lineup works similar to how it does just minus Tim. Dick, Jason, Steph, Damian. the Batman we get is one similar to a lot of the Dark Knight style characterizations - angry, self contained, steadfast in his morals, but he's really just.....forgotten about the people of Gotham. Robin is now a largely separate identity, similar to Batwoman or Oracle - connected, but independent.

and then Tim comes. he shows up and sees Jason completely alone and Damian not being connected with and Stephanie being a hard cynic and Dick refusing to step foot in Gotham - all the things we've been teased with at the beginnings of arc or in one-shots. basically, what would Gotham look like without Tim "I can fix him" Drake.

and of course he tries to fix it. he knows what *we* know - that someday Gotham War will happen and Bruce will make horrible decisions, that someday Damian will die, that there will be more Robins and more heartbreak and he loves to theorize about it with his friends except now they're real people and let's be honest: Tim doesn't have a "let things be" bone in his body.

id probably make him be a trained fighter of some kind - probably aikido, bc that the nonviolent martial art that parents love. he constantly has knives on him, catalogues exits, etc. he's been watching people like Deathstroke fight for years.

and it runs almost exactly like A Lonely Place of Dying, because while Bruce may be harder to crack in this universe, Tim has been reading Bruce's thoughts for years. all of them.

I'm obsessed with the idea of an insanely driven boy with very little outlet for it being suddenly put in the exact situation he's *supposed* to be in, except everything else is wrong.

tbh Riza is one of the few female characters where I don't mind that she has the whole "only one with the braincell" thing going on and that's bcs Mustang is a fucking dumbass and she will literally go anywhere and do just about anything with him, and also he's her emotional support dumbass and several times it is shown that she can barely fucking hold it together when he's not around, up to and including straight up admitting she'd rather die than be in a world without him

like you think Mustang would never be able to get anything done without Riza but baybee it's a fucking two way street she needs him just as bad

I really, really wish people who don't have the capacity to properly take care of animals would simply accept and acknowledge that about themselves. This isn't even a post of me trying to be mean or judge anyone, I'm sure most people go into getting an animal with good intentions, but intentions and actions are different. If you don't have the time and the space and the care an animal needs, the animal will suffer. The fleeting joy of having a kitten or puppy or anything else doesn't last forever and they aren't toys to be put down and forgotten once you've moved past the inital excitement. If you don't have the ability to properly care for an animal, just accept that and simply admire them from a distance.
