i had to do a lesson plan and presentation for my foundations of education class final (literally a five minute lesson) and i did a brief run down on the german unification based on a state standard for world history 2 and after i was done a girl in my class turned to her friend and said “i only know this stuff because i used to watch hetalia” and i laughed so hard hearing that like i was not prepared for THAT part of my past to come up in college and now i know that at least two future teachers who used to be in the hetalia fandom
