So... Apparently UA s4 is a massive flop.... I'm not saying we need to start bullying* showrunners and writers and networks/streamers (*putting pressure on them to do right by beloved pieces of media with passionate fan bases so much so that they feel they'll get the guillotine if they do anything less than perfect and justice by the story/characters) but.... There are for fuckin sure problems with s4 but I think Klaus not considering his 60s stint sobriety makes a lot of sense to me? Like he was sort of just surviving, biding time, filling that hole with sex and adoration, until he could save Dave. He didn't do any real work to maintain sobriety, or to make peace with what goes on in his head, and as a result he relapses incredibly easily (yes, sorry, a 23yo punching you becayse his uncle made him is awful but it is also not.... The worst thing he'd been through even in that week). He wasn't really sober then, he just wasn't using.

Me and my bf have watched up to episode 5 rn.. uhm I have some thoughts, the spoiler I saw was Lila and Five and seeing it in show hurts. I feel like so far this season has some good elements, but the how they put them on screen is weak.
