I remember I was kind of introduced to this ship because I followed one of my idols who shipped it and made fanart of it and it was on DA. This was back before it got deactivated my account.

I LOVE 'Eyes of the chimera' episode. They were basically supporting each other all the way.

I love how April is always by Leo's side and we see how much she cares for him.

Controversial opinion: It's cute.

They both have the same energy and another controversial opinion but, Leo has a way closer relationship with April then Donnie. I've kind of seen more scenes with them together then with her and Donnie.

Though just like last time I prefer her being an older sister figure to him that Leo looks up to.

They both care for each other and love each other no matter what.

April pretty much comforts the turtles about their insecurities so she would do the same with Leo.

Mutant Puberty

In a humble house within the New York city suburbs, the hulking testudine by the name of Raphael sat in his kitchen. He was soon met by his oldest child, who came rushing into the room. Nerves nagged at Frida as she anxiously awaited the arrival of her boyfriend. She was already sixteen, and the turtle in red couldn't believe how fast the years had flown by. This was the first of her many suitors to agree to meet her...interesting...family. All those who came before broke things off with her upon learning of her parentage. 

"Dad, remember, be nice." Raphael grunted with displeasure at his daughter's request.

"I make no promises." His stern eyes narrowed into a glower.

"Daddyyy, please! I really like this guy a lot...Can you at lease be civil?"

"I suppose that I can try dat." He grumbled in agreement to her terms.

Hearing the commotion coming from downstairs, Lucas wandered out of his room. He stopped mid-way down the stairs, and peeked through the wooden railing. His thin, almost alligator-like tail curled into his lap, and he clutched it out of nervousness. This was the first guest they'd had over since he'd fully grown into his mutant traits. He ran his hand over the mohawk-esque tuft of reddish-orange hair on the top of his head before scratching at his scales. When a few flaked off, he sighed. 

"Shedding...again..." He was already fourteen years of age, and looked exactly like his father, only with a much thinner frame. When he was born he appeared mostly human, with hair and pale cream colored skin. His only distinctly terrapin characteristics being his three fingered hands, two-toed feet, and tail. However, unlike  his sister, he went through some dramatic bodily changes when he hit adolescence. It happened so rapidly that it almost felt unreal...almost.  

His plastron and scales came first, followed by his snout, with his shell having only just recently begun to grow in. The protective shield still wasn't fully developed, and plagued him with growing pains. He reached over his shoulder and rubbed the top of it gently, as if that would ease the discomfort. Mutant puberty was the worst! When the doorbell rang, he scrambled to his feet, and raced back up to his room. Once there, he rummaged through a drawer until he located a baseball cap with the Maryland Terrapins logo on it, and donned it backwards. 

"At least this'll kinda hide my freaky mutant dandruff." He huffed in dismay. Hearing his mother call for his presence, he hesitantly proceeded downstairs to greet the visitor. Thankfully, Frida had well informed her suitor of her "special" family, to avoid shock and panic. That did little to alleviate the teenager's nerves as he trudged down the steps. He was met at the bottom of the stairwell by his mother, sister, and their guest for the evening.

Lucas' eyes widened upon first sight of Trevor, the small hoop ring on his lower lip caught the light as the charming young man grinned a hello. Tall for his age, Lucas was already 6ft even, almost at height with him. The young terrapin's heart thumped in his chest when their eyes met. He was speechless, enamored by the handsome stranger that stood before him.

"Huh-Hello-HI!" in almost robotic movements, the awkward young man closed his eyes and extended his hand, inviting a friendly handshake. He would understand if the human didn't return the gesture, most didn't want to even go near Lucas, let alone touch him. But when he felt a light squeeze in his palm, he reopened his eyes to find Trevor's in his. It wasn't long before the mutant teen quickly withdrew his hand, suddenly self-conscious about his scaliness.

"S-sorry my hands are pretty rough..."

"It's okay, Dude, you're fine."

The fawning lad's hazel eyes sparkled, he was unaccustomed to being treated so kindly by a human he'd only just met. Sure, mutant's had since been assimilated into everyday society, but that did little to change how they were viewed. The road to acceptance would be a long and arduous one. Lucas sighed as he thought about the world's state of affairs only to have his concentration shattered by the boisterous entrance of his father. The behemoth eclipsed the doorway separating living room from kitchen, swiftly lurching forward to come face to face with his daughter's beau.

"Nice ta meet ya, I'm Frida's fatha." He wore a jovial expression before lifting Trevor up off of his feet and into a hug. The protective father then whispered into the young man's ear. "If ya hurt my lil' baby girl, I will pummel you within an inch of yer life," before  setting him back down. The boy shuddered, but kept his composure. Both siblings groaned at their beastly dad's embarrassing actions. Meanwhile, Raphael's wife shot him a glare at which he smirked and grunted. Putting on a happy face, the matron led evenyone into the dining room to take their seats.

It wasn't long before the food was ready, and plates were handed out. The young terrapin fidgeted at the table, occasionally peering up to steal glances at Trevor before darting his eyes back down at his plate. He'd never felt this before, his heart was now in this throat, beating faster with each passing second. 

Why do I feel this way? 

Just as the twitterpated lad asked himself that question, a chirping sound began emanating from his body. He jolted in surprise, and the entire table focused their attention onto him. With a red face, he slowly sank down in his seat. His father immediately knew what it was, and wasted no time in speaking up. As if the evening hadn't been awkward enough already, it quickly went from bad to worse.

"Son, we should go to tha bathroom."

"Wha? B-but dad..."

"NOW." the imposing growl of a command was impossible to disobey. Grabbing his son by the hand, Raphael led him upstairs to the bathroom, chirping continuing all the while. 

"Dad, what's happening to me now?!" His blush worsened, he hated his body for what it was doing. As he became increasingly flustered, the sound only grew louder.

His father stifled a chuckle, "It's a churr."

"A...what?"

"I'm sawry that I didn't tell ya about dis soona, but I honestly didn't think ya would have it. Lessee, how do I tell ya dis...Jeeze, why hasn't Donnie taught ya dis yet???" His Dad racked his brain trying to find the right way to explain. 

"When a male turtle becomes...excited...he makes a churring sound to let the ladies know that he's...ready..."

"Oh my God, Dad, STOP!" Lucas reflexively covered his ear flaps. "I didn't know this was gonna be a birds and the bees thing." 

"So...who's the lucky girl?"

"Huh?" 

"The one that ya were thinkin' about at the table."

"B-but...I wasn't thinking about a girl..." Sure, Lucas had dated a girl and fantasized about the opposite gender countless times before, but that wasn't the thing on his mind as he sat at the dinner table.

"Sure ya weren't." Raphael winked at his son and shrugged. "But if ya don' wanna tell me about it, I undastand. If ya calm yerself down, it’ll stop." His son nodded, and proceeded to take deep breaths, just like his uncle Leo had taught him to do when feeling anxious. 

The two returned to the dinner table and Raphael met his wife, whispering in her ear to fill her in on what was going on. She smiled wide and looked over at her son lovingly. He noticed, scowled, and returned to staring at his plate. All he wanted in this very moment was to disappear completely. 

"So, Lucas, what's it like being half turtle? It seems pretty cool." Trevor smiled at the anxious young mutant. Jerking at the sudden inquiry, the flustered turtle struggled to even form a sentence in response. Floundering, a myriad of expressions ran over his face in mere seconds: surprise, confusion, nervousness, and finally, happiness. He couldn't find words, mind still stuck on the specifics of the question.

He thinks I'm cool???

"It's not so bad, I gUesS." His voice dropped over a year ago, but it still refused to settle on a tone from time to time. So, in the perfect timing, it decided to fail him. Instead, his attempt at a cavalier response came out in the form of a squeak as his voice cracked. Lucas was mortified. At that moment, it dawned on both his mother and father, and the two exchanged knowing glances from across the table. Once Trevor left the house, and Frida went up to her room, Raphael turned to his son.

"It was Trevor, wasn't it?"

"Daaad! Wha---NO!" but the churr that followed gave him away.

"Okay...M-maybe, I dunno...I'm so confused." the bright red color on his cheeks was telling, and his father grabbed him in a bear hug.

"It's okay, son. You like whoevah ya want, yer motha and I will love ya not matta what."

The Forgotten LGBT Characters of 1990s Marvel Comics

Hey X-Men fans! It’s still June, still Pride month, so I wanted to talk about three lesser-known LGBT Marvel characters. They’re very obscure, and they’re all also all from the early 1990s. Like Mystique, one might consider them pioneers of Marvel becoming inclusive of LGBT people. Unlike Mystique, no one really knows about them, as they never became major players (far from it, in fact) Be warned, two of them are villains and very much products of their time and the unfortunate way that society was still treating LGBT people; Marvel was starting to include them, sure, but in very demonized, stereotyped ways. But problematic or not, they existed and they’re close to my heart, and I’d like them to be remembered by a greater amount of fandom. Who knows, if enough people like them, maybe they will come back in canon one day and be treated with greater sensitivity!

Shinobi Shaw (bisexual) - Shinobi Shaw appeared as the young estranged son of Sebastian Shaw, who abused him terribly as a child. While he looked pretty badass at first by killing his father (it turned out not to take, alas) he spent the rest of his time being pretty much a joke as a villain. He preferred to just get drunk and hang out with a bevvy of hot men and women than really do any villainy, and what villainy he did commit was largely limited to trying to get X-Men he liked (Warren and Storm) to join him. Seriously, he sent Warren an invitation to a Hellfire Club party on a PERFUMED card with a LACEY border written in LOOPY PINK INK, and wanted him to be his White King. He totally had a crush on him. Jubilee drives it home with a “Liberace” comparison just in case that was all too subtle for readers. And of course he was attracted to Storm because...STORM. All bad guys like Storm! That’s not where the hints of bisexuality end, though. And by “hints” I mean “on more than one occasion he’s surrounded by men and women who are in various states of undress” like basically the art is trying to tell us that he’s in the middle of an orgy at any given time. At one point, his butler asks him if he’s having oysters or snails tonight, which is an old-timey way of saying “women or men”, and Shinobi replies he thinks he’ll have dinner first, just so the readers are sure he AIN’T talking about food here. Also he dresses in a purple pirate coat and lilac pinstripe pants. I don’t like stereotyping but COME ON GUYS. Fashion bicon right here! Shinobi is definitely and blatantly depicted as bisexual, but he’s really not what could be called good bisexual representation. He’s not only a villain, he’s played up as simultaneously despicable and ineffective, as too effeminate and damaged (his status as an abuse survivor is not treated sympathetically either) to be any real threat, but still as disgusting nonetheless. He’s also depicted as something of an attempted sexual predator, but also as, again, not really enough of a “real man” for it to be scary, just gross. He’s also played up a LOT as a decadent hedonist obsessed only with pleasure, which is an age-old stereotype of gay people and bi people both, but especially bi people. There’s a lot of problems with Shinobi. But he’s still a lot of fun as a character, at least to me, and the hints of how emotionally damaged he is from aforementioned abuse and the implication he may have a substance abuse problem and that all this decadence might just be his only way of coping because he’s clearly unable to connect with people but WANTS to somehow...there’s a great character arc here waiting to happen, if some writer only sees it. Those familiar with the far more famous Daken might notice some similarities in design; both are the eastranged predatory  bisexual abused half-Japanese son of a burlier, hairier, pre-established white male character. Of course, Daken was far more competent and became a much more major, complex character. Maybe Shinobi was sort of his first draft? Who knows! All I know is that as of June 19, Shinobi has finally re-appeared alive in Uncanny X-Men #20, and I’m hoping for more shenanigans--preferably in the flamboyant bisexual disaster Shinobi style! Mindmeld (transgender) - Mindmeld appears solely in X-Force #62 as a bodyguard in the employ of Shinobi Shaw. No alternative name is given for her, and it’s my headcanon that “Mindmeld” is her chosen name as both a mutant and a trans woman. How do we know she’s a trans woman? Well, we don’t. But she’s drawn with the same body type and facial shape as all the male characters are, because this is comics and there’s one mold for guys, one for ladies. However, despite big muscles, a strong jaw, and a distinct lack of breasts, she presents pretty feminine, with makeup and a lot of jewelry. The other characters (the heroes, no less) express confusion about her gender, saying things like “Now, Mr. or Mrs. Mindmeld...” and “What is your real name? Pat? Chris?” (get it? those are unisex/androgynous names?) However, only “she” pronouns are ever used for her. Given all this, I think it’s fair to say that these jabs along with her physical appearance are meant to hint to the audience that she’s a transgender woman. She could fall into some other trans category, such as non-binary or genderqueer, but considering this was the 90s (when those identities were less known) and being written by straight cis guys (the least likely to know about said identities) I think that her being a pre-op/non-op/non-passing trans woman is a safe guess. My bet is that her presence was meant to add some shock value and play up Shinobi’s own bisexuality (since it’s a common misconception that a straight man couldn’t possibly be into a trans woman) In any case, she was short-lived and ill-treated by both the story and the other characters, but I find her intriguing. She’s also very important despite her obscurity, as she’s the first representation of a transgender mutant that I’m aware of that didn’t involve something like shapeshiting or or bodyswapping (though her powers could swap the brains of other people!) or being an alien with no knowledge of gender norms, or any other “explanation” that accounted for being trans that had no real-world equivalent. She just seems to have been trans in the way REAL people are trans, something that thus far no mutant I’m aware of (save for another one-time character, Jessie Drake) has been. And I think she damn well deserves some love for that. Plus look at her, she’s just cool! Nocturne (wlw) - Nocturne aka Angela Cairn (no, not TJ Wagner, this is a different Nocturne) is the only non-villain on this list, and the only one whose sexuality was treated sympathetically, perhaps because it was only hinted at and her story was told largely in metaphor. Ironically, she’s also the only chracter here who is not a mutant or an X-Men character, despite X-Men being the publication that’s supposed to be all about embracing the different and downtrodden. She first appears in the 1993 Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #13, and had a few subsequent appearances before disappearing from the page altogether. Angela Cairn was a police officer of Black, Cuban, and Native American (tribe unspecified) heritage. As a lifelong victim of prejudice, she joined the police in hopes of using the law to protect others from being victimized. She is implied to have been in a romantic relationship with a fellow female officer, Jackie Kessler, and the two may have co-habited. After Jackie is murdered in the line of duty, Angela went on the trail of a serial killer who she believed was the same supervillain that killed Jackie. Following a false lead, she was lured to a warehouse where she was trapped and experimented on by one of the nameless mutates created from humans by Baron Zemo. Unlike the other monstrous mutates, this one did not seek to return to human form, and, for reasons unknown, wanted Angela to become like her. As a result, Angela was transformed in the mute, winged, vampire-like being called Nocturne. No longer able to live in human society or even explain to others that she’s Angela, Nocturne becomes homeless and protects those who also live on the fringes of society, including a boy who is the victim of a gay-bashing. Her journey ends up being not a typical superhero tale, but an introspective single-issue saga of pain and self-acceptance. It’s told largely in what I interpret to be metaphor for coming to terms with being open about her sexuality only after she lost her partner, which I write more extensively about HERE, and I personally find it to be a surprisingly deep and nuanced story---especially for comics, which are usually about as subtle as an anvil when it comes to whatever social commentary they’re trying to get across (not that this is always a bad thing either!) 1. What Station on the Ark would you be from? Probably Arrow Station, because it sounds rad?? I don’t have many space applicable skills, because my maths is terrible and I can’t grow anything, and we don’t know what the Arrow Station people did, so I can say that they were the keepers of library and it could possibly be true. I would probably be an archivist or something. 

2. What would you get arrested for on the Ark? Something similar to Clarke? I’m not really the illegal activies type, but I like to think I wouldn’t just sit aside while injustices happened, and if I’m an archivist, I’ve probably got access to lots of information about the Ark that people don’t want the general public to know. 

3. Would you take off your wristband when you landed on the ground? Probably? But I’d probably have given it to Monty - don’t want to be skewered by the other delinquents, but I don’t want to be unhelpful and that’s a happy medium.

4. What would the necklace Finn would make for you look like? (Clarke: deer/Raven: a raven duh..) Maybe a book? Or a dragon. Either or 😅

5. If you could resurrect any MINOR character who would it be? WELLS MOTHAFUCKING JAHA. OBVIOUSLY. 

6. Create a squad of 5 characters to go on missions with. Who are they? Clarke, Bellamy, Murphy, Monty and Raven (but if we’re counting season 6 Raven so far, then I change my answer to Emori)

7. What Grounder Clan would you belong to?  Probably Podakru? I fucking love lakes man. 

8. What would your name be in Trigedasleng? The same, probably? Tah-liss maybe???

9. Thoughts on Finn? Some people hate him, and others love him, so I’m curious. I think he’s a well-written character who served his purpose; we were supposed to love him in the start and grow to dislike who he became. His arc is one of the better written ones in the show. 

10. Be honest. How willing would you have been to take the chip without knowing all the horrible things it does? Not very. Pain is how we know we’re alive. Living with depression, I know what it’s like to feel completely numb. Pain is better. 

11. What character do you relate to most? Clarke/Bellamy/Murphy. All three of them, for varied and complex reasons, but in particular as of season 5, Clarke. 

12. What character do you like the least? ............Echo. Because I don’t like badly written characters and it bums me out that she wasn’t written better when they made her a main. 

13. Describe your delinquent outfit. (Would you wear something like Murphy’s jacket with the spikey red shoulder patch or have a trademark like Jasper’s goggles? Be creative, yet practical) Black jeans, Doc Martens, large loose v-cut shirt tied off at the side, fingerless gloves.

14. Favorite type of mutant animal? One of the water ones. Imagine being a giant mutated river creature just fucking with people and living your life of solitude??? 10 out of 10. 

15. What would your job be on the Ark? Archivist/writer/scribe. 

16. Would you have willingly pumped Ontari’s heart if Abby asked? Yep. I’m not that squeamish and I’d do ANYTHING to help Clarke Griffin while she saves the world. 

17. If Lexa wasn’t Heda, but she was still alive, then who would have made the best commander? Indra. 

18. How would you act if you ate the hallucinogenic nuts like Jasper and Monty? I’d probably either get supremely paranoid like Jasper does or cry to my mum the way Clarke talks to her dad. 

19. How would you have dealt with Charlotte’s crime? A more John Murphy approach or Bellamy Blake approach? I am the Bellamy Blake of my own life, so 

20. Who should have been the Chancellor, if anyone? No chancellors, in this house we have a round table where every member of the government is on equal standing and there is a speaker of the house, but that person isn’t given extra power, just the ability to control the meetings. 

21. Would you have been on Pike’s side like Bellamy or on Kane’s side? Or Clarke in Polis? I would have been on Kane’s, or I would have left, probably to find Clarke. 

22. Mount Weather had a lot of modern commodities. (example: Maya’s Ipod) What is the one thing you would snatch while there? iPod, speakers, anything to play music on. I truly can’t live without it. 

23. What would your Grounder tattoos look like? Hairstyle? War paint? No war paint, red hair in a bi-bob, tattoos would probably have words on them.

NOT INCLUDING CL OR BC OR BE Least favourite canon ship is Becho, but non-canon I feel it’s important to mention that I loathe JORDAN WITH OCTAVIA. Or, Jordan with anyone at the moment, really - let him learn to be a whole person before he gets a love interest, I’m begging you.

27. A song that should be included in the next season? If there had to be another guest star like Shawn Mendes on the show, who would you want to make a cameo? Any song by Faouzia would be fabulous, or Florence and the Machine. And if there was going to be a guest star I’d probably want a niche british actor that I love, like Andrew Scott or OH FUCK, Robert Sheehan would be AMAZING.

28. What would you do if you were stuck in the bunker with Murphy for all that time? Probably the same as Murphy - sing, go through everything, slowly devolve into depression and madness. Pull each other out of it by making bets about how long it would take blarke to get together.

29. You’re an extra that gets killed off. How do you die? Shot in the head, probably? That seems fast. 

30. A character you’d like to learn more about and get flashbacks of? DIYOZA DIYOZA DIYOZA

31. A character you’d bang? Probably Murphy? He seems like he’d be fun. Or Monty because he’d be sweet. (listen, i wanna fuck clarke and bellamy as much as the next bisexual, but i am WAY more invested in them fucking each other, so)

32. Would you stay in the Bunker? Go up to Space? Or live on your own in Eden? Live on my own in Eden, because I, like Clarke, enjoy isolation as my main unhealthy coping mechanism.

33. In the Bunker, would you follow Octavia? What would you do to pass the time underground? Probably? Path of least resistance and all that. And I’d write, maybe document the events as well as writing stories. 

34. What crime would you commit in the Bunker that lands you in the fighting pits? Writing something negative about Blodreina, I suppose;

35. Up in Space, who would you bond with first? Who would be the most difficult for you to get along with? I’d bond with Murphy first, we’d both isolate ourselves to one side of the ship to avoid the love-in. I’d probably never get on with Echo. 

36. How long do you think you would last on Earth by yourself? Not sure. Depends how bad my depression is versus my anxiety. 

37. When the Eligius ship lands what do you do? Run and hide, boys - run and hide. I’ve always been the sniper type more than the attack type: get the high ground. 

38. Favorite Eligius character? Least favorite? Fave: MY GOOD BITCH DIYOZA.

39. Would you Spacewalk? Maybe... depends on if my anxiety would kick in really hard. Probably not???

41. Would you start a war for the last spot of green on earth? What would your solution be to avoid it? I’d try to avoid war at all costs. I’d probably try and broker a way for the eligius people to help rebuild Polis, and then create a city there and have trade routes built between them - the farmers would move to the valley and the warriors and other types would stay in Polis. 

42. Would you rather dig out flesh-eating worms or stick thumb drives into bullet holes? Dig out flesh-eating worms - that way I’m saving someone, not killing them. 

43. Are you willing to poison your sister for the Traitor Who You Love? What would you do to stop Octavia? Depends how bad my sister was behaving - if it was Octavia bad?? Yeah, but I’d be Peak Bellamy Levels Of Stress about it. And I would honestly do my best to discredit her before I took any physical action - spreading dissent works, surprisingly well: look at politics.

someone who knew her before.

she was a prodigy child. famous beyond her years. even now, she’s on vogue lists, has millions of instagram followers, the whole thing — but for different reasons. this person knew her before she got taken, and are likely a child of the xmen or someone who was at xaviers. they remember the fearless child, ready to dive into anything, the kid who was always the top of her class. brash and happy, but kind, in a way she no longer is.

So I have this like faux-suede moto jacket that cost me something like £10 about seven years ago.

I have recently decided to customise it so here's a list of customisations and why I chose them (for no reason at all).

Headstone reading "In Memory of When I Gave a Fuck" - I like to point at this when people ask me stupid shit. I do not have the fucks to give to you, the fucks are dead.

Sumo Cyco "Not Sorry Sorority" - I love this band and their gang concept for Initiation was so cool that I took their quiz and then bout the NSS USB album, the socks and this patch. IT's a gang of pretty in pink girls who'll kill you so yeah.

Heart "Do no Harm, Take No Shit" - I love this phrase, my nan has a version of it that's "Be kind until someone gives you a reason not to" which is just saying it politely. The placement of this needs some explaining because it's on my sleeve. Yep. I wear my heart on my sleeve and it has this saying on it. Oh! It's also a broken heart! It's me in so many ways and I love it.

I'm planning to add an X-Men patch because I'm a mutant.

Mickey Bisexual Pride Pin - I love this one. I love being able to wear it and people who know Pride flags just talking to me about things. Some people just think it's a cool gradient even though there is no gradient effect??

Moomin - Okay, do NOT get me started on the Moomins. Do I know which Moomin this is? Nope. Did the badge say? Also nope. I have cross-referenced the quote with the pin and the design with my Moomintroll plush and I think it's Moomintroll. Why do I have a Moomin pin? It's back to the cats again! 8. Thoughts on Finn? Just casually annoyed about the fact that homie didn’t even have to try to get two of the most fascinating, smart, and beautiful women in the 100 universe. Like how fair is that? I try really hard and just last week I blew it by stuttering when a girl said something nice to me and then told her I needed to go see what the weather was like and then hid in the bathroom for five minutes as I gave myself a pep talk. I want like 10% of the confidence Finn Collins had for literally no reason.

9. Be honest. How willing would you have been to take the chip without knowing all the horrible things it does? It would have been soooo easy to get me to take the chip. Someone would just have to say my mental health problems would leave me alone and I would give the fuck in.

I relate with Raven because I’m quite familiar with chronic pain. The character I like the least is Thelonious Jaha. I find him to be quite preachy and arrogant, but don’t really see why he gets to be that way considering how many bad decisions he has made.

11. Describe your delinquent outfit: Okay, I want Jasper’s earth day t-shirt, Raven’s red jacket or Clarke’s blue jacket, steal a beanie from Miller, some tight pants that don’t look practical but magically never hinder my ability to run through the forest for plot reasons, AND THEM COMBAT BOOTS.

There is no way in hell I would have been in that room when that decision took place because I would literally still be chipped and no one would bother to take the time to fix me like they did with Raven and Abby because I am a soft lazy soul not made for this survival world, but if I was there and it had to be done, probably (and I’d have a panic attack while doing it)

16. If you were a grounder, then where would you live and who would be your mentor? Oh God there are no good options here in my opinion. I’m gonna say Azgeda just so Roan could be my mentor (I love him) but like I’m not crazy about Azgeda for all the crazy plot reasons.

17. How would you act if you ate the hallucinogenic nuts like Jasper and Monty? You would find me having very intense, intellectual debates with... absolutely no one. I’m talking to someone I hallucinated, likely an ex boyfriend from years ago who still deserves to be put in his place.

18. How would you have dealt with Charlotte’s crime? I mean, I don’t think there was a right way to deal with it. Rehabilitation, maybe if they lived in a world without insane war and had actual guidance from actual adults (who weren’t raised on the Ark and ingrained with the death penalty for all crimes mentality)

19. Who should be the Chancellor, if anyone? Who should be? Probably Bellamy, but I don’t want him to be because I don’t think it would be good for him. I’m actually gonna go with Monty because I think he would take counsel from Bellamy and Clarke, keep a level head, and be able to separate personal feelings from what has to be done... but not to the level that Clarke would. I think he would be a nice in between.

20. Mount Weather had a lot of modern commodities. (example: Maya’s Ipod)What is the one thing you would snatch while there? There’s not a lot that I can think of that I would want for my own personal entertainment, but like maybe a water filtration system? Feel like that would come in clutch.

Norse symbol for where there’s a will there’s a way kind of look for my tattooes, want that Octavia ponytail (because fuck that was a good look), and no war paint. My face looks like it melted at the end of the day with my makeup, there’s no telling how messy and tragic my war paint will look after a war. If I’m gonna be a grounder, I’m gonna look damn good doing it.

I know Octavia is probably the right choice (but she did not win on her own, and I highly doubt she would get as lucky in the real hunger games) so I’m going to say Raven because she’ll be like those tech nerds who made the arena go boom. I think people would team up with her, not really thinking of her as a threat so they could kill her later on, and then she makes everything go boom and wins the damn thing.

Origin Story:

Knox Iversen was born with a genetic mutation that allowed him to heal faster than the average human and gave him enhanced reflexes. However he fit in quite well, he was the ideal son to his doting parents. Hardworking, intelligent, and kind. His perfection would not last for long. During the German occupation of Norway, he laid in a hospital bed due to extensive injuries he endured it became clear to his parents that their son was not normal. In an attempt to protect Aurelia, a girl whom he’d only met just then, he was shot multiple times in the leg. The doctors said that he would not survive, and would bleed out. However when they tried to take his body away they saw that he was perfectly fine. Holding a conversation with the girl he had saved. His parents were horrified, and left him, because he was no longer their son. Knox will never forget the last emotion he saw on his parents faces, disgust, because he had changed and they couldn’t bear to call him their son.

Knox and Aurelia stuck together, and became a close pair. They attended an institute for scientific study in sweden. During their time there Knox intended to find out what made him different from his parents. What in his mind made him superior. He tried everything, but nothing yielded the results that he wanted. Aurelia suggested that the failure may have been due to the lack of a human subject. So she offered to help him with one of his experiments. Believing that Aurelia was correct, he set up the experiment. They thought it would be simple and that everything would have remained the same. But there was a change. There was a factor they had not accounted for. Before they Knox had the opportunity to turn on his machine starting the experiment, lightning from the storm that was raging outside struck the building. Unbeknownst to them energy surged through the machine. They ran the experiment as planned but it was unsuccessful.  Though they wouldn’t know.  As Knox helped Aurelia away from the machine she tripped over a stray power cord, and took a strong hold on his arm. Immediately he passed out.

Due to the energy surge through the machine Aurelia had developed life source absorption, as well as the ability to remain unaffected by telepathy and illusions. Thinking that his machine had caused this change Knox, thought he should let the world know about his great scientific discovery. However when he presented it to the board of the institute. It failed just as it had the first time. He was laughed out of the room. He was convinced that it had only not worked because the scientist the test was not a mutant, and that instead of creating mutations, his machine awakened abilities by already present mutations.

This furthered his idea that humans were inferior, an ideology he had always kept at bay because of Aurelia. Believing however that she had always been a mutant he allowed it to consume the both of them. Just as Knox’s parents had done, Aurelia’s parents were horrified by the idea of their daughter being a mutant and worked to stop all communication. Seeing her family slowly push her out Aurelia worked herself deeper into the distaste for humans Knox begun to wind them up in.

Knox and Aurelia’s beliefs were strengthened as they found that there were other mutants that held the same beliefs as they did. And after marrying it was these beliefs that they would attempt to impart on their daughter. Coralie, could not have been loved more, her parents were determined raise their daughter so that she would always be happy. But there was always a burning question in their mind. What is she had no mutation. Her skills were ones that didn’t make themselves known. Her parents didn’t know she could feel what they felt, and she never thought to ask. Because everyone could do it right? Their fear however would prove unneeded. Aurelia had learned that her parents had passed away in a house fire. Even though she had a strong distaste for them, they were her parents, and somewhere inside she did still love them. Coralie rushed into her parents room right after getting home from school feeling that something was wrong.  She found her father trying to comfort her mother as she shook sobs wracking her body. The young girl about 8 at the time, begged to know what was wrong, her mother turned to her with eyes swollen and red and told her that everything was fine. Coralie could accept that her mother didn’t want to tell her but she couldn’t stand to see her mother this way. She pulled her into a hug and Aurelia felt a weight be lifted from her shoulders, she no longer felt the pain of loss. Coralie wiped a few tears from her eyes unaware of why her heart suddenly ached. Aurelia jumped up spinning her daughter in the air “i’m so proud of you” she whispered.

From that moment her parents began to drill the idea of mutant superiority in to the girl. However, she refused to believe that the people whom she lived alongside were less than she was. As she grew she couldn’t help but think that her parents were wrong, the people around her cared about her. Knox and Aurelia however would drill the idea into their daughter even if she didn’t want to listen. When she came home crying about how the boy who she thought loved her back called her a freak, they reminded her. “Everyone is always going to say that, just remember they don’t  deserve you time because they are just humans.” Slowly their words would leave hooks in her skin, she didn’t try to help people anymore, she tried to avoid becoming too close to people, because one they knew that she could change the way they felt she was a freak to them.

Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters had been her dream ever since she discovered it. Coralie would never dare to bring it up to her parents as their views didn’t align with those of Mr. Xavier. However one day, by chance, she came across Hellfire’s School for Mutants, there she was sure that her parents would let her her go. Sure they were now a part of the same school, but she would at least ask. Surprisingly enough her parents agreed. Coralie along with her parents moved to Tribeca, NY. Though she now attends Hellfire’s School for Mutants, her personal views fit more with those of Xavier’s, but it’s hard to shake something your parents have taught you your whole life.

She is so many of the things I dream of being and is yet a character that I will always hold close to my heart because goddamn it, Christina Yang is one hell of a kind); Celie from the Color Purple (largely uneducated, abused, neglected. If there was anyone who shouldn’t rise from the ashes, it should be Celie. But she was raw, and honest and kind and boy when she came into her own, when the women around her finally helped her realize her worth, Celie was unstoppable); Cookie Lyons (Sassy, strong, bold, fine af!, queen of us all. Loyal to a ‘T’, the ultimate ‘G’. If only we were all deserving of having Cookie on our side. Seriously though, Lucious didn’t and never did deserve our queen. An icon. A queen. awe-inspiring); Scheherazade (find you a woman who is smart, beautiful, an absolute bookworm and an engaging conversationalist. What can I say, the first time I read the abridged version of one thousand and one nights I fell in love with the Queen who loved to read stories, told them with such gusto and worked the circumstances so her love for stories saved her life, brought her love, and made her a queen);  Regina Mills (Of course Regina has to be on this list. Never have I see such power, such terrifying rage that is eventually softened by a love for a little boy she takes as her own son. An antagonist that softened but still managed to hold onto my heart. Regina’s everythin); finally, and as much as it pains me to admit this: Cersei Lannister (devious, ruthless, smart, loyal to those she chooses to be loyal to. A woman we all love to hate, and one who takes her destiny in her own hands, makes her enemies pay in blood and fire and who is currently queen of the seven kingdoms and the one who sits on the iron throne.    that's right, folks, I've got another new story! it's called Livewire!, and it’s a superhero story, but with that signature k-Liight twist--in this case, a superheroic protagonist that isn't the usual chiseled block-jawed hyper-masculine dude you see so often in other superhero stories twist (among other differences XD). I probably won't be able to explain each and every character in full detail, but I will give you a brief overview, and I will tell you the story ;3 it goes something like this:

   Deep within the heart of north-central Florida, a dangerous battle between two powerful groups is taking place right under the common people’s noses. One side is fighting to preserve the old laws and ways, the other is aiming for new laws and change. Among those fighting for change is the duo of former secret agent Patrick Guerrero and his mutated daughter Gertrude, otherwise known as La Bestia. The two have had a long-time beef with the conservative Dr Droid and his own daughter Deedee. While Dr Droid’s coalition may be small, Patrick Guerrero’s band of vigilantes is even smaller, and he’s looking for more members, superpowered or not. He’s looking for brave and determined individuals, especially young people, who are dissatisfied with the way the world is now, and will fight almost to the death for what they believe in. However, he’s having a hard time finding truly qualified individuals. But that is about to change.    Enter our hero, Xavier Templeton, a cute, chubby, bubbly, pansexual femboy aspiring to be a singer/actor/comedian. Because he doesn’t conform to the usual male gender norms, his parents, Frank and Dolly, often raise their eyebrows at their son, and don’t really approve of his feminine ways. They also don’t approve of his friends, which include Renee, a sweet but always late trans girl, Starlynn, a bisexual female football player, and Jason, a serious but creative non-binary gay boy. They’re afraid that he's not being the best influence on his three little brothers, Finn, Oliver, and Oscar, even though said brothers love Xavier to death. He’s rather unpopular and very misunderstood, but Xavier always looks on the bright side of things, and manages to keep a positive attitude almost all the time.    But one day, Xavier’s uptight parents put his positive attitude to the test. After a seemingly normal day at school, he comes home to find all his music, makeup, prized possessions, and even his clothes gone. Mr and Mrs Templeton decided to get rid of all his feminine things for good, and they’re not giving anything else back until he promises to behave like a “normal boy”. Angry and upset, he runs off and finds himself in the local park, where he ends up meeting Patrick Guerrero. Noticing the boy’s sadness, Patrick invites Xavier to join his “secret group” and hands him a business card. Xavier ponders the offer and is at first unsure, but when Starlynn says she knows Patrick and heard all about what happened from him, Xavier reconsiders the invitation and decides to accept it.    Whatever he was expecting from this “secret group”, it certainly wasn’t a clan of vigilante superheroes. He especially wasn’t expecting some of them to be mutants! But what surprised him the most is that Starlynn is in the group too, going under the name Vega--and she’s got superstrength! After getting over his initial shock, he meets La Bestia; at first, he is intimidated by her size and stoicness, but when she starts acting awkwardly, he finds her adorable. He meets the others too: icy Sub-Zero, fiery Hephaestus, speedy Zipp, wise Cynthia, nerdy Nate, and the mysterious Sorallea. They all become enraptured with Xavier, and they promise to not only help him be himself while his parents aren’t looking, but also to train him to become a superhero himself. They buy Xavier more masculine clothing to wear when his parents are around (hence the traditional doodle of him in that button-up and khakis), but then let him change back into something he's more comfortable in. They also teach him how to fight, and other skills needed to be a superhero.     Turns out that Xavier has a special superpower of his own—the ability to harness electricity! He is also a very fast learner, and soon he’s ready to join the team in battle, going under the alias of Livewire. But defeating Dr Droid’s forces isn’t going to be easy. Somehow his crew is growing larger, and it seems that they’re outsourcing regular people without their knowledge via scamming. And when Xavier’s own parents fall victim to Dr Droid’s crime, he is given the hard choice to save his family and risk his identity and independence, or to hold onto his freedom and lose them all forever.    Now little things you should know about specific characters: first Xavier. as you might have already suspected, he is a very Gene-inspired character, in both his personality and his aspirations, and his supersuit is even based off of Gene's in my Superhero AU (which I haven't touched in AGES, good lord). his little doggie, Pepper, is his personal service dog that he takes to school due to his bad anxiety. She's very loyal and well-trained, but she can be a bit overprotective of her owner, and sometimes growls at people who obviously pose no threat to Xavier. Starlynn is perhaps his closest friend, since they've known each other for the longest, and she's that one friend who's a freaking bottomless pithole. she's also that one friend who uses really gross humor LOL. Patrick Guererro is a high-spirited liberal former secret agent who quit the job because it made him do things he didn't support, so he decided to form a superhero team instead. his daughter La Bestia is generally tough and serious, but she's also pretty socially awkward due to being isolated from the rest of the world most of her life. Zipp is a funny one, she's either cynical and serious or a mischievous little shit. there is no in between. XD and I was going to talk a little bit about the villains, but fucking dA "stopped responding" and it didn't save that part and I am NOT typing all that again. oh well, I'll be sure to make profiles of each of these characters at some point and I'll really talk about them then.    you can expect more of these guys in the future, especially Xavier, because he is my mutha-feckin' baby. XD
