Saw a post that said Sanji and Zoro both have the experience of starvation as a defining moment of their lives and I just,,,, the way Sanji feeds strangers and even his enemies because he refuses to let anyone else go through what he did,,, the way Zoro will eat anything put in front of him without complaint,,,, they make me so ill
May your hardened heart be woken
By the soft and distant song
Of all you left here unspoken
All the shards we keep stepping on
-
Take this body home
Take this body home
Call the wind, and let her know
Take this life outgrown
Take this broken soul
Call the stars, call them all
And take it high, take it far, take it home

In honour of this maniac’s birthday, here’s one of my favorite anecdotes, via Passages From The Life Of A Naval Officer, Etc by Edward Philips Charlewood
"For both bonobos and chimpanzees, the bodies of the dead evoke many emotions. Even if the process often begins with trauma and confusion, typically corpses shift to a liminal status; not alive, but equally not a lump of meat. They're more intensively manipulated than hunted animals, and carried for longer. In some – if not all – cases, the eaters must know what and who they're consuming. Cannibalism is very probably a powerful means by which individuals and groups process the impact not only of killings carried out on emotional impulses, but other deaths too. In other words, it's about grieving.
[...]
"Shift these scenarios to Neanderthals, and add into the mix their far greater cognitive sophistication, and lives that revolved around using lithics. Suddenly it's not difficult to envision how skills in carefully taking apart hunted carcasses might be transposed into a grieving process that involved butchery and cannibalism as acts of intimacy, not violation."

I would like to thank Wes Anderson, who, in the course of his adaptation of The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar, has illustrated for us how Martin Crieff imagines himself in the privacy of his own head.
[ID: digital bust art of Yano Kairi from Lupinranger VS Patranger. he is looking at the viewer and smirking, holding up a calling card between two fingers. the first two images are coloured and on a bright red background. in the first he is wearing his mask while the second shows his bare face. the third image is of the lineart on a white background, once again with a masked and unmasked version. /END ID]
Hello Nevermore Nation to celebrate my favorite Nevermore song returning to all streaming platforms after disappearing for many many weeks I am posting it here so I don’t lose it again
tbh the biggest win of the poll isn't even the fact that Cecil won, it's the fact that everyone is crawling out of the woodwork to cover everything in purple and say all hail the glow cloud and bond over the fact that wtnv was one of the best things to hit Tumblr. it influenced SO many people at a time when finding a gay character in anything was either badly written stereotypes or blatant fetishization and tons of us were still closeted and scared to come out
Hi there dear fellows and Luna lovers, the last day of the week is here.
Don't edit this drawing and don't post it anywhere.
This adorable chibi commission was made again by lovely Nami. If you didnt check their profile yet, do it. Both the profile and Ko-fi have wonderful works.
