expanding on that Lady Maria vibe for Descole from the first Laytonborne post, and that famous boss intro.

Descole would make a hellish boss fight, i know it. i mean have you SEEN how he moved during Eternal Diva and with that big ass sword? now imagine that with Soulsborne-scale strength and possible other additional powers.

plus his theme could be pretty easily adapted into a Bloodborne boss style piece I think, just add more orchestra heavy brass and cellos and some ominous Latin chanting choir and presto. that organ goes so hard too.

ANYWAY absolutely he does. in any au ever he uses guard duties to sneak out and see epic, it’s just canon to me at this point. ive thought about this for so long. in any au where he and epic are in some way or another ‘forbidden’ (ie. aus where cross works for nightmare and thus is unallowed to access the omega timeline, where epic lives, and nightmare isn’t fond of outsiders) they absolutely sneak out to see each other using some excuse or another.

“gotta. do a patrol. yep. that’s where ill be.” says cross on his way to sneak out to kiss his boyfriend epic even though he’s not allowed

i really like the ‘forbidden relationship’ trope with crepic. because i think it’s so them to have so many things separating them yet they come together regardless. i genuinely view them as soulmates, the same way i view error and ink as soulmates, regardless of interpretation. be it platonic or romantic or whatever they are soulmates to me.

the forbidden relationship trope with them though absolutely GETS ME. especially given im also huge on the headcanon of cross never stepping out of line out of fear, and the idea that like. he’d step out of line for epic even though it’s something that he doesn’t like to do at all. it calls to me. cross will do his laundry perfectly and his room is spotless and he’s on time and efficient in every mission and you wouldn’t expect him to break a single rule, but he does, every day/night, to see epic. and i love that.

epic sneaks cross into the omega timeline too btw. “how? wouldn’t core notice because they’re omnipresent?” core 100% knows but also knows that cross isn’t going to kill anybody just like. be gay or whatever. so they don’t care too much. if he does something wrong, they’ll know, but he really doesn’t. he just stays in epic’s living room and plays video games. so why not at this point
