God I love how much personality there is to the characters in Armored Core 6, like with a lot of the dialogue memes people do, you can immeditaly tell who's saying it just by what they refer to 621 as alone

i love all kinds of sims gameplays/stories but something about them featuring premade sims hits different. it's just so fun to see people make those characters their own and give them their own personalities and backstories and dynamics with other sims. especially love seeing who the creator of the story pairs them with, there's some really cool but at the same time totally random pairings between townies in simblr. like there's someone who pairs up liberty lee with, idfk, caleb vatore and another who pairs up caleb vatore and björn bjergsen and we're all here for it and loving those stories. 🥺
i really love seeing what different people do with the same canvas. 💌

!! To me, the word Reminiscence fits Desmond Miles rather well.
Today, in literature class, we studied a text (an excerpt, really) written by Marcel Proust, dated from the beginning of the twentieth century (1913), whose title is “On the side of Swann” (very unsure of the translation as it is from French to English, and I know book titles tend to change from a language to another).
We arrived at the moment of concluding the analysis of this famous text, in which Proust tells us how he rediscovered a joyful memory, buried far in the "iceberg of his person", passed through a spoon of hot tea in which a piece of madeleine seemed to have melted. When he tasted this spoon of tea (which he was not in the habit of having in the evening), mixed with this piece of madeleine, it triggered a phenomenon of reminiscence.
When our teacher defined this word and its meaning to us, she described it as something distant, things which come back to us through a smell or a sensation: something which passed through the senses and which forged our memory of past events, more or less happy, that could be found in one way or another.
I immediately thought of Desmond and the fact that, through a machine, he lived several lives. (In some way...) I thought it was interesting to imagine him experiencing this kind of thing, with elements that don't necessarily date from his own life but from that of his ancestors, reinforced with the Bleeding Effect. It could be a taste, something that one of his ancestors liked to eat, a scent, a feeling of deja vu or something else that would resonate with him and remind him of Altair or Ezio, for example.
I may or may not be going *too* far, perhaps it has already been mentioned or imagined by someone else, or it was obvious. Nevertheless, with all the known negative and traumatic effects of the Bleeding Effect, of these tangled memories, from different eras, I thought it was worth pointing it out! (although bittersweet in a way </3)
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. /pos
(I am open to any comments/remarks!)

the inane double entendre of this game’s premise drives me insane sometimes. on one hand i have so many questions about ik and the traveler’s life and the surface level exposition we’re given, i want to really dig my fingers deep into the brain of these characters so i can behold and appreciate the machinations that fuel their thought process (ESPECIALLY ik. i smell youre autism.) but on the other, thats the point of these brief glimpses.
the upturned encompasses a bigger picture: the phenomena of death and control. its not a surprise the upturned inn is an allegory for escaping death (i see it as limbo personally speaking) but in this somber and mysterious world, your only companion is an undead golden retriever-man thing that is absolutely teeming with joviality. whether intentional or not, this serves as a depressing parallel yet a brilliant cognizance that depictions of death don’t always have to be.. depressing. i ascribe to the idea that there is a difference between living and “living”-- the act of continuing to live through cruelty and joy, perpetuating these acts, that means existence, after all we have so many years ahead of us! but for ik, who didn’t have that, its incredibly significant. there’s always this underlying sense of exhaustion and childlike scolding in the dialogue we’re given, and when you put that into the context of the travelers existential cynicism and ik’s unfinished life, you begin to understand why the upturned inn exists. what does the upturned inn means to these characters.
to ik, its an accomplishment. an exhibition that despite his untimely death, his existence is self validated through his actions. it’s a second chance to do something good.
and to the traveler, the same traveler, that died all alone in a world coming apart. the upturned is closure-- a chance to look past the terrifying chances life can throw at you and regulate your own environment. the upturned inn is control.

it sort of scares me how much Minecraft has changed since the early game. As someone who has been playing since they were 8 years old - I fear the change, that the game will lose that familiarity. But, in the same breath it’s sort of… exiting? Like watching the sun rise on a new day. Maybe I don’t have to fear the change new features bring. The sun will always rise again. This game will always be Minecraft, be there to welcome players home.

I haven't had this much love for a game in so long. I've played through finished BG3 two times, just started my third on Saturday, and I'm already thinking about my NEXT FOUR PLAYTHROUGHS. I still need to do good durge and bad durge, and some other classes. I haven't wanted to replay a game so many times since fucking BLOODBORNE dropped. I love Larian so much for this holy SHIT.

i know not many people would want to read a 10,000 word article about the minecraft end poem and how the author, Julian Gough, was never fairly compensated for his work and has made it public domain.
But it's a very well-written and heartfelt read, and he makes it very clear that none of this is a cash-grab and despite the fact that he is essentially a starving artist in this capitalist society, he only mentions his financial struggles despite Minecraft's huge huge success at the bottom of this article and not in the tweets so as to not dilute his message.
Anyway, I just think it'd be cool if those who are able to could support him in some way whether it be subscribing to his substack or donating to his paypal (that's linked in the article, you can ctrl + F to find it easier), that's all.
