Honestly Akane not being able to protest against decisions of other clock keepers is very interesting to me

He very clearly wanted to protest against holding Teru guilty but he just accepts anyways, im guessing its because hes the weakest?

Also we all know that Akane can fight back if he wanted to, yeah, he may not be able to overpower Teru but he still COULD fight back, especially since hes on his boundary he must've got a massive power boost, he isn't an idiot if he had the intentions of doing this from the start he would be ready to fight, but no he got startled because he didn't expect the event to occur, let alone the action Teru gives (they both had it coming tbh /affectionate)

He even turned his face as he explained to Teru, he knows how he looks at that moment and didn't want to be reminded.

mostly so far. like re: hanako deliberately bringing up the murder he committed. and making threats against kou as a form of self- harm punishment and sabotage. because he doesn’t feel he deserves to be seen as good. because he doesn’t feel that he is good. and the direct IMMEDIATE consequence of teru showing up to, on paper in plainest terms, save his little brother from, on paper in plainest terms, evident danger at the hands of the supernatural who’s got him pinned with a knife at his throat. this is all so fucked. kou hasn’t ever seen his brother wearing the expression he’s wearing right now and the expression is SCARY and kou is being torn between believing in hanako’s goodness and believing in his brother’s competence and talent and it’s like. he’s a younger sibling and younger siblings follow the lead of their older siblings. so what if teru is right about hanako?

what if he isn’t?

and teru’s doing what he needs to, what he’s been tasked to do, and part of it needs to be that kou had a knife to his throat, but the other part has to be that he told kou it was too much for him and he told kou that he wasn’t mature enough for this and the only reason he conceded is because his baby brother pleaded with him to get another shot at it. and then the next day he doesn’t have a choice but to intervene! part of it needs to be that kou had a knife to his throat, his little brother had a knife to his throat, but the other part of it has to be that he shouldn’t have conceded, but given that he did kou should have just listened to him. like has teru ever had cause to resent his younger brother before. I don’t know yet! but before this kou thought that teru must surely be going into all those fights, doing all he does, with a smile on his face, because he was always wearing a smile when he turned back to look at him. and he’s finding out now that that wasn’t the case. how much of that was teru protecting his younger brother from thinking about the nature of what was happening and how much of it was teru wanting to keep kou from looking at him with this expression.

how much of it was an older sibling’s obligation and how much of it was a tactical prevention of a stab through the heart. is all I mean.

A longer, more in depth (9 parts all in one) terukane analysis, and/or everything i could find, compiled (one of my better pieces of work imo) ⭐️

Ok so it might be the fact that i ship them so i see alot of things they do as possibly romantic even when theres no romantic implications, but the amount of times it feels like AidaIro seems to be implying that teru likes akane is getting to a suspiciously high number. Like lets look at this from a non-shipper’s pov (or at least try😭)

Item A: teru looking at akane

Without the context that he’s looking at akane, he genuinely looks like he’s showing something of raw emotion, unchanged by his “fake persona” but a genuine reaction. Looking at this picture at face value one would assume he’s big time crushing. I mean i wouldn’t say “omg hes so in lovveee!!!” But considering he doesn’t really open up to like anyone, i think this is definitely something??

Item B: them going together on a romantic outing

Yes i did make it sound much more compelling then it actually is but cmon man. The school festival is considered a “romantic event” and these two spent the entire time hanging around the school together. Giving the excuse that "it's our job being in the student council" (which i guess it is) but in reality it was because no one wanted to come with them.

Which i mean they also did technically go on an actual date together

Item C: teru trusting akane more than anyone (?)

Teru likes talking to akane, trusts his intellect, and considers him someone he can rely on but doesn't like it when his whole world starts to revolve around aoi. My guy, that's jealousy.

He is shown to trust him and even show his back to him in multiple instances, knowing he wont hurt him, and he’s someone he can trust (lets ignore what happens on the literal next page)

Even literally being one of those “i fight alone” type of people but when akane’s there, he’s never fighting alone

When kou and teru were fighting, the reason teru even walked out in the first place was because of the fireworks. And whos idea was that?

Akane’s. He knew he liked fireworks and that they’d lure him out of his room. And again, he was right they did it fact get him to leave

i dont think i even need to break this one down. Its a picture of JUST them TOGETHER posted on VALENTINES DAY. 2/14/24. THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY THAT CELEBRATES NONE OTHER THAN ROMANTIC LOVE. Also teru’s color being used as akane’s sparkles and akane’s color being used as teru’s sparkles kinda shows that AidaIro arent just showing us two characters, they’re showing us TERU and AKANE, TOGETHER. If it really could be anyone im sure they’d put them in a general setting, but with the paired colors i’d say that says otherwise.

Item G: possible fruit symbolism

first off, this picture.

First lets look at hanako’s. We can see he has two drinks, both red + with strawberries, along with a red straw. While also being pictured near other red fruits.

In this picture, nene’s flower(s) are literally strawberry flowers, putting the association between strawberries + nene out there. Meaning the strawberries in his drink could be purposeful, along with the red undertones. (red being her eye color) (sorry for quality im doin this on iPhone)

Moving on to teru’s, he has one drink, being yellow-ish with pineapple on the side, and chunks in the drink itself. Whilst his straw is orange, while also being pictured around a ginormous pinapple

All within the same chapter i think, but him changing outfits i feel like says something. Like we’re supposed to associate that with something other than aoi (them talking ab how to save her at his house) or his family. Like aidairo are shoving it in your face ‘disassociate teru w aoi!!!’ He even straight up left when they started talking ab how they missed aoi at the karaoke place. (More or so when he left they started talking but ykwim) Since nene is being associated with strawberries it leaves the only other person to be akane, this also making sense also because of the straw color. (The straw being orange; akane’s rep color being orange, as nene’s is red)

also the fact that fruit is literally associated with the queer community

-He finds it cute.

-Honestly, he really likes it since he can tease about it later.

-Every once in a while he'll float over to you and lift the headphones out or lightly tug on your earbuds to pull them out.

-"Whatchu listening to?" He asks.

-He's not really looking for answer, he just wants your attention.

-If you close your eyes while listening, he'll go in for a kiss just to see your surprised face.

-If you wear earbuds he'll ask if you can share.

Nene Yashiro

-Honestly, she doesn't really judge you since she's just so happy she actully got a relationship, so when she sees you listening to music and bopping your head, she doesn't mind.

-She might every once in a while ask what song it is.

-If she knows the song she'll either talk about it or fawn over the band members/singer.

-You introduced her to a lot of diffrent types of music along with new bands and singers.

-Every once in a while she gets a sticky notes and writes songs she likes so you can listen to them. (Along with a few doodles in the corner.)

Kou Minamoto

-He's concerned.

-He thinks you're going to hit your head or something else since your not really paying attention to your surroundings.

-He usually has a hand wrapped around your waist just to make sure your safe.

-If you offer to listen to music with him, he'll accept. Perhaps you could dance together.

-I don't think he'd be a very good dancer so you might have to teach him if you know.

-If neither of you know, well you can just look like two idiots having fun.

-When you two dance im the school (if ever) Hanako is going to intervene. He'll probably trip Kou so he'll fall on you making him look like a pervert. And nobody else can see Hanako so they Kou is in the wrong.

-Hanako truly doesn't mean any harm by it, he's just trying to poke some fun.

-As long as you tell Kou he doesn't need to worry about you and you can handle your surroundings, he's a lot more comfortable.

Teru Minamoto

-Same thing with his brother, he worries you're going to get hurt and tries to avoid anything happening to you.

-He always had a ton of fangirls and the fact he choose means you matter to him more than you could imagine. (Same thing with his fans if you know what I mean.)

-He might even go as far as taking you things away if you don't listen to him.

-Don't worry, just give him puppy dog eyes and he'll give in faster than the speed of sound.

-Or cry, if you can cry on command good lord. He HATES to see a person he cares for in pain, so he'll do almost anything to make it stop.

-If you walk around while listening to music, he's right behind you with his hands on your shoulders to make sure you're safe. This does not change if your eyes are open.

-And if you do happen to have someone bump into you, are they going to have an earful from your boyfriend.

-So, just be careful around him and when you listen to music.

Sakura Nanamie

-It doesn't bother her in the slightest.

-She enjoys the stillness of sound, she's usually caught up with Tsukasa being loud, so just being in the same room as you, but not talking makes her enjoy these times together.

-She knows your not paying attention so she sometimes go up behind you and give a little kiss on your cheek. (Or on the lips depending on how far the relationship has gone.)

-When she wants your attention for either a question or because she simply wants affection, she'll lightly tap your shoulder or rub the back of your hand.

-She ALWAYS asks if you can give her attention beforehand, since she is very much aware of what it's like for someone to be forced into it.

-This also makes it very rare for her to ask for anything, but I'm getting off track.

-It's not a huge part of her life but she still thinks it kinda cute you do it

Tsukasa Yugi

-All he can think is, "Perfect opportunity".

-You're distracted AND can't hear him. He wants to prank or surprise you as much as possible. Having your attention on something else other than him (Which he is a bit offended by) Gives him the chance to shock you.

-At this point, it's not as surprising. The most shocking part is what he tries and do to gain your focus.

-He's given you things he's killed, which the offer is nice, the corpse is not.

-He'll incessantly bother you asking if he can listen to music with you.

-If you refuse, he'll do one of three things.

- 1. Continue to cry and complain

- 2. Take whatever you're listening to music on.

- 3. Get Sakura involved. Which ends up with your device getting confiscated.

-As fun as it is to mess with you, he gets super annoyed if you ignore him completely. And that leads to one of the items above.

-Just as long as you devote your time to mostly him, he's fine with whatever else you do.

uhhh i only have a few that i would actively recommend but!!! i feel very passionately about all of them. not all shows have to be fanfic fodder. some can just be fun.

♥ horimiya. it's a classic and has literally no flaws to speak of. never before has a heterosexual romance been so queer-coded and never will it be again.

 ♥ ouran high school host club - the anime AND the manga!!! i know everyone's already seen the anime half a dozen times, but if you liked it, i'd really recommend picking up the manga. it's aged pretty well (all things considered) and does in fact have an actual plot with a real and satisfying ending, something that i can tragically not say for the anime.

♥ jibaku shounen hanako-kun/toilet bound hanako-kun. it is vaguely shounen coded but don't let the occasional fight scene fool you, this one is for the girls <3 i'd recommend watching the anime and picking up the manga from there, since both have a really unique and charismatic art style and are very good in their own right. there are ghosts. there are gay people. the heroine is trying to brute force her reality into becoming a rom/com and repeatedly turns into a fish. what's not to love.

♥ i'm in love with the villainess!!! i would STRONGLY recommend this if you are both gay and have been repeatedly abused by just,,, so many early 2010s dating sims. the animation is a little rough at times but overall it's very enjoyable and has a surprising amount of lore. i'd also very strongly recommend watching the english dub. the mc is just,,, yeah. that's a woman who's been in the trenches y'know.

♥ the ancient magnus bride. it has aged contentiously but if you can get past the 'sixteen year old x immortal eldritch being' thing then it WILL emotionally wreck you. the ost is also just,,,, delectable. they should really pull out the lute more often that shit goes hard.

♥ welcome to demon school! irumu-kun! people will tell you that this is a shounen and those people are WRONG!!! never before has an anime been so deeply concerned with love and friendship and putting everybody's favorite little guys in situations that make you wonder if it truly is gay to kiss the homies goodnight. the animation is very rough but in a very charming way, and mc has a very cute, very prominent romance with a woman who could snap him over her knee like a twig. then english dub cast is doing the goddamn most too, but feel free to consume it however you see fit.

This idea has wonder in my head for a while and I totally loved it since the moment t I thought about it!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!

As the clan representative, Teru had grew giving his full life to his job as an exorsist, learning how important is to never forget that the supernaturals are nothing but a threaten and they most be erradicated

Once Teru falls in love and even have the opportunity to be selfish enough to start a relasionship he didn't let himself forget about his duty, and that he need to protect you from the threatens the supernaturals are, so once in the relasionship he takes the freedom to explain it to you, how he is actually an exorsist and about his duty only because he wants to keep you safe

Teru made sure to tell you about the threaten of the supernaturals, to give you a warning (mainly for your safety) and even give you something will protect you while he isn't with you, because even when he is confident on his habilities and knows that you will listen to his warning he just can't help but worry and ve alert

Thats is why he just can't comprehend why something like thats could have happened, he was alert and he made sure to protect you and still some stupid natural was able to reach you and attack you, he wasn't there when it happened but that didn't meant he didn't know it was the work of a supernatural, he knows how to reconize this kind of things, the moment you didn't showed up to school that day nor answered his texts he knew something had happened to you

He had enough experience of fighting supernaturals to don't reconize that this was their work, but that didn't make him feel less guilt, if only he was more alert or more careful then you won't be missing right now. Trying to overcome his frustration Teru started his search for you, following the traces and collecting as much information as possible, even forcing other supernaturals (inside and outside the school) to tell him if they had saw you and when

As much as Teru want to keep his composture is dificult when the person he loves is missing and he has not even tracks of you, the more time it pass the more frustrated Teru gets because every second it pass it can mean more suffering for you, if he doesn't know even who had attacked you how he can be sure that you are safe and unharmed

Teru was so focus on searching you or the culprit between the supernaturals that he didn't even noticed when the worried whisperings about you had stoped, it was obvious that it would be just matter of time for people to start talking less about it, but Teru quickly noticed that there was more of it, there wasn't just that they stoped talking, it was more like they just forgot at all that there was even a missing student, not even the ones that used to be your friends were talking about it anymore, and that just made him feel more and more anxious

Teru knows that the powers of the supernaturals may vary, and that there have being diferent supernaturals that can affect the humans world in dangerous ways, and even when he had being avoiding to think about it he had no other option than to accept that the supernatural that have attacked you has also the power to manipularte the humans world to erradicated your existance, making everyone else just forget about you, but not him, Teru isn't someone that will be fulled by a supernatural trick (specially if you are the one who had being affected), he still remember you and he will work really hard to bring you back and made that supernatural pay

From that day Teru's life become more messy and stressful, his siblings grow quite concern by seeing him so in the edge all the time, being a little more messy but aggresive while fighting because he want to end quick and go back to his search, people around him had heard a few times now asks about someone they have never heard about, even Akane can admit that he had been not paying the same attention to him, even if he tries to mess with Teru he just put him out of his way

It was a while now since people around him noticed how Teru seem to be distracted or even troubled by something, even when he insist that he is fine is obvious how his mind wander around, and the more time it pass the stranger it gets because is all of the sudden that seems that slowly Teru start to goe back to the normal by nor being so distracted all the time, but even if in the exterior he seems to start going back to his normal self he is far from being okay, every day it pass he just get more and more confused and anxious

In his mind started to wander the weak memory of a voice that he doesn't reconize, calling him by his name, and even if he doesn't remeber where he had heard it he can feel himself feeling quite happy and nostalgic, he had catch himself on the school waiting for someone even when he doesn't really is that close to anyone to actually go out of his way to spend time with. Also there is this weird sensation of having to find a supernatural when doing his exorsist job, no matter how much supernaturals he fight that sensation of having to find one in particular never leaves him, and it frustrate him even more because he knows that is something really important, he feels angry at that one even when he doesn't really know who it is

The more time it pass the more he feels his heart heavy and just hurt more and more, Teru feels a huge emptiness inside him, as if he was forgeting something, something really important, as if something was missing and their absence was creating an immense empty space but not matter how much he tries to fill it up or even remember what is missing he just can't remember, is like if his body remember it and show it by the inmense feeling of emptiness and even the guilt for forgeting, but no matter how much he tries his mind just can't remember, even when he knows it was something important his mind can't understand what it was

So the art style for TBHK includes big hands. Everyone is drawn with big hands or normal sized hands... but there is one character that is the biggest offender of Yaoi Hands Syndrome...

AAAA IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!! Sorry for responding late ^^…. Let me ramble 😈

i absolutely love his character!!!! He is so funny with how he jokes with kou and nene or when he argues with yako , i love how different he acts when hes in is supernatural form vs his human form. Like he literally says in the manga he changes just cause he feels like it, if thats not silly idk what is… He has weird humor that makes everyone stare and look at him weird but he says it anyway and laughs at his own jokes and that is SO CUTE!!!! Or if we’re gonna get more serious, i adore his father-like relationship with hanako it warms my heart. Back when he was still alive he cared for him whenever he showed up to schools covered in cuts and bruises, always firm with him but we all know how much he cares for him.

Even when he killed tsukasa , Tsuchigomori said “Even if no one else would ever forgive it, even if there’s no reason that would justify it, I forgive it.” I already started to love his character but that panel truly sold it for me. And how his yorishiro is the space rock hanako gave him? It literally is so cute, showing how hanako is important to him.. Literally he’s his dad idc… I love how he cares about the kids even if he pretends not to show it, gives them advice whenever he can. I really, REALLY wish we had more to him and knew MORE about him, i want to know everything about him!!! He is so incredibly interesting and a great character, he is so underrated and i’m happy i can ramble on and on why I like him.

Onto something less serious.. i have small reasons too, his fear of loud noises and cars!! Makes me laugh every time, he’s a GROWN man shaking in fear while cars pass 😭 i fucking love that, thats just so fun and i like his small traits. Also how he dislikes cold weather and is weak to the cold, even more adorable!!! Have you seen that official art with Tsuchigomori in his winter clothes? Its absolutely adorable… i love his expression he just looks so over it while everyone else is having fun..

As serious the story goes on in the later chapters I enjoy having Tsuchigomori there to ground everything out, how his latest concern is living his double life as a supernatural then a human is so ??? I can’t explain it. Also it would be foolish of me not to mention his looks cause.. come on, look at him!!! His little glasses chain, his two toned hair.. everything about him is so dreamy i LOVEEE him. His slippers are just so cute too idk, he’s dressed all professionally the he has slippers on… AND MY MIND WENT SOMEWHERE ELSE MID RAMBLE.. his relationship with KOU!! I live for it, Tsuchigomori is kou’s homeroom teacher and they just go at each other all the time, i live for those moments. When kou tried to bribe Tsuchigomori with bugs?? Calling him spider face?? I LIVEEE FOR IT!!!

I could continue but i think its gotten long enough… i love Tsuchigomori if you couldn’t tell. I love everything about him… tsuchigomori ryujirou i am your number one fan I LOVE YOU!!!
