AU we deserve: Caranthir saving Aegnor/Andreth by giving Aegnor the angriest pep-talk in history, going off at length about how the women of the Edain are valiant and honourable and deserve fucking better, fucking sons of Finarfin, most useless fuckers on this side of the Sea or the other, I don't give a damn what Finrod thinks, you are going back to that woman and you are going to do the right thing by her. It ends with him dragging Aegnor by the ear back to Ladros and dumping him at Andreth's feet like "This idiot has something he wants to say to you." >:[

Tonight is a great night to think fondly on Haleth and Caranthir. I think they would make such a funny couple.

I hate calling them that, but sadly I don't have the knowledge or patience to give them a name.

From left to right (or at least I hope so, because formating always gets messed up when posting from phone) :

- Tyelpë's Mother: Teleri, carpenter (more specifically, woodcarver). Killed during the first kinslaying, protecting her people. Re embodied, and waiting for her son to come back.

Not as soft as she looks. If Curufin was ever allowed to be re embodied, she would send him back to Mandos with her own hands.

- Maglor's wife: Vanya, poetess. Stayed in Valinor (even in a better context, she wouldn't have left) and remade her life. She isn't waiting for Maglor, but if he was ever allowed to come back, she would welcome him into her life again, as long as he could adapt to it. Despite being a vanya, she isn't very fond of the Valar and their rules, and her lifestyle might not fit with what other vanyar consider proper.

- Caranthir's wife: Noldo, glass artist. Went to ME with Caranthir. She learned khuzdul pretty fast, and acted as a diplomat with the dwarves (but what she actually liked was learning from them and their craftsmanship). She really liked Thargelion, and thought of it as her home.

Died during the Dagor Bragollach. Still in Mandos.

Caranthir has the oath of Feanor tattooed on his arm. I don´t know why he just has. Probably happened a drunk night while he was more filled of spite than usual. He leans more toward the Edain and dwarfish clothes and culture early on, in some situations, and his lack of social filter makes him more likable and trustworthy, to said people, making alliance and trade deals easier between them and himself than most Elvers would find it, not to mention him being good at math and handling, and adding, his wealth. I do think he had at least one wine yard, if that was in his own land or someone else's where he just rented doesn't matter as his wine was sought out and highly priced for its popularity and quality.

on one hand, I’m very pro Maedhros aka Maitimo aka “handsome” being genuinely exceptionally beautiful even for an elf, like, ‘people walk into trees when he passes by’ levels of beautiful. ‘Commonly mistaken for a Maia’ levels of beautiful. ‘Can stop pause a family argument by putting on all his best jewels’ levels of beautiful. ON THE OTHER HAND, I think we should all give way more consideration to the idea that aesthetically he’s, like…fine, decent face I guess, and Nerdanel, holding her firstborn son, was just like, “This is the most beautiful baby in the world!! I’m taking NO notes”
