So, I don't know if you have ever heard of Buzzfeed Unsolved or their new show Ghost files on Youtube. But a few nights ago after I turned off Ghost files and thought you know I am sorta in a mood for my fav time travels boys! So I put on BTTF 3, and soon after I fell asleep dreaming of Time travel, DeLorean's, spooky ghosts, etc. That night I had one of the greatest dreams I have had this year...hang on now I know what you are thinking time travel?? Ghost hunting?? What does that have to do with your dream? Well my creative mind came up with Marty Mcfly and Dave Mcfly special guest Doc as ghost hunters. Kid you not the funniest shit ever. All I ask is what would you think if Marty and Dave and Doc went Ghost hunting, I feel like Marty would say oh I would square up with that ghost and then shit his pants if he sees his shadow. But what are your thoughts?? Ghost Hunting Mcfly’s?

I havent seen Ghost Files, but follow a few people who frequently post about it. That's so funny. I love when media works it's way into your brain to form a superbly strange dream. I have had many weird BTTF related dreams since starting this blog lol.

Dave and Marty (with special guest star: Doc) hunting ghosts, huh? That's certainly quite the thing to imagine. I agree with your headcanon on how Marty would react. I think he'd try out the whole tough guy act like: "Ghosts? Psshh, I dont believe in them. I'm not afraid. Not one bit. Ghosts...yeah, right. Bring it on." *very obviously nervous laughter* But then he'd step on a creaky floorboard or something and scream and do a leap into Dave or Doc's arms. I'm also imagining a scene where Marty, holding a shaking flashlight in his hands, asks, "Do you guys hear that heavy breathing?" To which Dave rolls his eyes and goes, "That's YOU, Marty."

Dave, I think, would probably be more brave than Marty. Whether or not he actually believes in ghosts, I'm not sure, but either way I think he'd have fun being scared. And more than that, he'd have fun scaring the daylights out of his younger brother. Dave would absolutely do things like sneakily tap Marty on the shoulder and then act all casual or quickly knock something off a shelf when no one was looking.

Doc could go one of two ways, and I'm not entirely sure which one to choose. On the one hand, I think he'd likely go the scientific route and try to explain away any strange happenings. Explain how the human mind can play elaborate tricks on you, especially when you're already anxious, or provide his own theories for things. "Oh, that was the house's heating system kicking on," or, "That thing fell of that dresser because the floorboards are warped, making the furniture lean. There is also a draft from that open window. Additionally, our footsteps are causing small vibrations. All those factors combined make it perfectly clear what happened. Marty, let go of my arm; you're cutting off my circulation."

But on the OTHER HAND, I'm recalling the end of BTTF part II when Marty comes running down the street and Doc loses his whole entire mind at seeing him again. I've heard some people claim that after his initial scream of terror, Doc appears to mumble, "A ghost!" as Marty is yelling for him to get a grip, but it doesn't come up in the closed captions. Whatever the case, Doc is in panic mode. And then at the beginning of III, when he sees Marty in the mansion, he goes straight to screaming and looking like he's the victim in a horror movie. Doc is a scientist, but he's also Very Easily Panicked. So I wouldn't put it past Doc at all to go in with a logical approach and then have it all fly out the window the second something unexpected happens.

So there you have it. SIDE NOTE: This ask has caused me to imagine a Scooby-Doo style ghost hunt, featuring a scene of Doc, Marty, and Dave running up and down halls and in and out of various rooms while a monster chases them and Benny Hill music plays. It would be a masterpiece. Please just picture it.

Let’s begin!

He enjoys talking to you but won’t initiate any conversations because he thinks you will get bored of him eventually.

He for sure loves physical touch and sometimes purrs when you cuddle him in his greenroom.

He’s a massive animatronic and will be gentle with you due to his size.

He hates his original name “Montgomery” according to him it is “A wacky name for a bass player” and that’s why he prefers his nickname.

He’s very jealous of you. If anyone seems like a threat to him he will stand next to you wrapping his tail around you.

If he is having an outburst again the other band members and staff would call you to calm him down. He seems to only listen to you when he’s in that state.

He’d definitely have a picture of you two in his greenroom.

He was the biggest fan of Bonnie and definitely had a plushie of him in his room.

He has the biggest marking kink you could ever imagine. He can’t go one session without giving you at least two bite marks.

He is very dominant and also demands this position. Every time you try to initiate something he’d quickly turn it around so he’s the one on top of you.

He would use the pet names “Rockstar” and “Babe” a lot.

He gets easily attached to things you give him. Even if it’s something as simple as a dandelion you picked up before work, he’d keep it forever…

He likes to pick you up and he will make cheeky comments about your height. (Even if you’re just 1cm shorter than him).

He loves to edge you until your legs shake from frustration and he’s always teasing you about it.

He loves seeing you get all flustered when he compliments you.

He’d be the type to say “Did ya’ do somethin with your hair? Looks great…” even though you did nothing new with your looks. It makes you laugh every time.

He’d have a hard time showing you affection through words so he likes to leave you little notes that say “have a good day/night” or “I hope we’ll see each other soon.”

When you’re working with him in Parts & Service he’d always look at you with admiration. He doesn’t know a thing about his mechanics so he’s really impressed with your abilities.

Sometimes on your breaks or after your shift you go to gator golf to see Monty and occasionally play golf with him. He’s obviously a really good player so it’s hard to compete with him.

Once you won a game and he just pushed you into the lakes and laughed historically as you tried to get out.

You tried to get back on him and do the same but he was too heavy to be pushed away. So he just jumped to the side and you fell down into the lake yourself. He laughed and said “Haha! Karma is a bitch, rockstar!”

He would also enjoy taking you around the Pizzaplex to places where you weren’t before.

When you cuddle with him he always puts his head on top of yours.

Sometimes you two get too caught up in a conversation that he forgets to charge and he goes on standby mode. (Freddy comes to help you if that happens).

He knows your work schedule better than you do yourself. “Monty when do I have to start working again tomorrow?”. “8pm till 6am. You have the night shift tomorrow.”

He lets you put on his glasses and eventually gets you a pair of them in the gift shop.

He loves to hear you beg for pleasure. He will overstimulate you so much that you can only say his name and beg for more.

With enough convincing and reassurance he’ll open up to you about his feelings. And once he does he’s extremely grateful that you don’t judge him.

If he’d ever hurt you by accident he wouldn’t forgive himself. But he’ll be harsh if you want him too.

When he has an outburst and you get called to handle it he’ll say stuff like “Why would ever want to be with me!? Don’t you see that I’m a monster…?” while his voice cracks down while he sobs in your arms.

an au in which.. well different outfits that the ninja have had are actually just who they are

okay so i have much to explain so STRAP IN

so i came up with this idea really suddenly like ten million thoughts just hit me in the head, but the main concept is that

the world is actually a post apocalyptic style scenario, there's an "above" new ninjago city, that was built on top of the old overgrown and kind of abandoned old ninjago city (i imagine it having like glowy mushrooms and stuff and having some sort of a pretty factor to it)

i also see this whole world being full of like a multitude of different species with all sorts of wacky features (this is all kinda like years and years after the disaster that destroyed the og ninjago, so it has very cyberpunk-y and modern elements)

let's call it the (PA au. just post apocalyptic for short)

(this has been compared to that one show called arcane before. i. ive never watched arcane. /gen.. so yeah. i know its similar. its a coincidence. i promise. )

now, our characters consist of

kai - aka. the red shogun. (the outfit is prime empire kai, kind of combined with the red shogun outfit from season 4) a villain turned superhero vigilante, who's just doing his gosh darn best, and has a whole team who keeps his back safe! lloyd - aka. GB (prime empire lloyd) a trained mercenary and the leader of a gang that does everything from trading substances, weapons and machines in the black market, to simply bounty hunting. he's an untrustworthy, quiet but sly and feared leader, whos really just a sad and lost kid at heart. people say he takes after his father, but he wouldnt admit that. jay - aka. superstar rockin' jay!! (prime empire jay, ofc) he's a celebrity rockstar both in the above world AND in the undercity. though he mostly spends his time up above. he's still part of kai's vigilante team! nya- aka. THE FREAKIN SEA (seabound nya) she's a part of the sea that decided "fuck it!! we ball!!" and left to see what life on land is all about! she met kai and quickly became really close with him and they became siblings! shes the first member of his team! and she's kind of confused but she's DEFINITELY got the spirit! zane- aka. snake jaguar (the outfit from sons of garmadon) just like kai he's a vigilante, a wielder of ice. he goes undercover in lloyds gang and becomes his right hand man, but gives crucial information to his team, so they can take down lloyd's operation. cole- ROCKY FREAKIN DANGERBUFF, yet ANOTHER member of kai's team, he's from the dangerbuff clan! one of the groups of people who live their lives in the undercity. he's a dancer and a beast hunter, but also a kick ass hero just like the rest of the team! pixal- samurai x!! she's also a hero, that kind of rivals red shogun and kind of doesnt like him at all, but she does get kind of close to one of his team members... if you know what i mean

i will say that ALL the members of the squad still have their elemental powers, i havent yet properly fully thought that part out but i know for sure that they do.

SO YEAH. lloyd is actually kind of the villian for a large part of this au. i tried my best to not change his personality in a way that wouldnt be natural for his character to progress. in my head he grew up kind of sheltered from the outside world entirely. he's not really a... person? he's his role and thats that. he was never really loved by anyone therefore doesnt really know...emotion. all that well. he may act like a bratty teenager from time to time when he's taunting his enemies, but that's just... a character that he's playing up. he really just has no clue what hes doing.

(everything im not saying here is in the little notes i left on the drawings, though they may not be canon since i wrote down concepts and ideas there too)

his dad, garmadon, also is a little different in this au. basically "good" garmadon isnt really a thing (hes basically JUST the version from the oni trillogy). he was the previous gang leader BEFORE lloyd but he vanished and supposedly died. so lloyd had to take his place.

the ACTUAL. REAL VILLAIN of this au is harumi. who, fr. is still just herself. she's also kind of the second in command to lloyd. and she betrays him. and kind of takes the gang all to herself. leaving lloyd to help out the heroes...and finally find a family in the process.

its very emotional in my head and i am so scrambled right now these are the only semi-coherent thoughts.

Feeling a little silly tonight after listening to some more Tyler while lying in my bed and thinking up random scenarios that will forever stay in my head and imagining myself being the main character in an edit SOOOO I got an idea

Okay but like just imagine- super happy reader x pavitr x gayatri (yan or not, don’t think it matters too much for this one so do whatever you feel like), they’re really down to earth and manage to calm both pavitr and gayatri down when they get stressed or angry. They don’t really talk about their own problems because they don’t view anything as problems, they’re and optimist that turns every difficulty into an opportunity per say. They’re just a very calm and happy person all round but one day after coming home from maybe a family gathering, with a family that isn’t the best, and they’re just so- upset and angry.

Not in the upset and angry that lash out at every little thing but the upset and angry that’s cold and short.

Anyways, gayatri and pavitr notice pretty quickly they’re really mad and they try to comfort reader but they’re just so dry it’s almost upsetting- short answers and snapping a little bit but then saying short and annoyed sorrys.

After trying to comfort the reader but failing gayatri and pavitr try and give them space and leave them to their own accord. Pavitr and gayatri and worrying about what to do in the living room when they hear loud crashes and thuds coming from their room. Scared and worried they run over the the room to find that the reader just trashed it, book cases thrown down, clothes scattered, papers and pens and pieces of glass scattered everywhere. In the center of the trashed room is the reader with their back to the door just seething by trying so hard to just keep it in and internalize it they’re on the brink of almost hurting themselves just to keep it internal.

Idek how to describe it cause it sounds kinda silly but I need some good ass hurt comfort and your the best person who could do my wacky little ideas justice 🕊️🕊️

You're a calm person, a mature person, a positive person. The one that always knows what to do, the one that everyone goes to for advice, the one that has everything under control.

Control, controlled every crisis, every tear, you bite your tongue until you choke on the metallic taste, you swallow your own venom to save others the inexpedient. And you reap what you sow when others call you "sunshine", when they trust you, when you can help others through their own feelings, planting in other fields, the kindness you cannot grow on your own, for the life of you. The love, the mercy, it blooms around you, never in you.

You accept it, you embrace it, whenever you bottle up your emotions, you kiss it, you keep it. You hoard these ugly, complicated, muddy feelings, they remain even when you do what you're supposed to, when you do the healthy thing to do. They are kept with compassion. You hope for the day this boggy substances may have any use, may be adjuvant to fertilize the dry, mistreated field your heart, to clean it, rebirth it. You hope that your heart beating means something. That is a sign of hope, and not just a mechanical, calculated tic tac performed by a cold machine in order to keep the most important gear working, you hope that in the machine alike action of your body, there's something deeper, a "beyond" the blood and veins.

It's worth it, it's always worth it to you. When you guide your partners into confronting their emotions, teach them to see the bright side of life, when you take the higher ground instead of letting yourself say something you'd regret. However you look at it, it's worth it, and it's working.

Pavitr often notices it, he tells you to not work yourself too hard, and not bottle up your emotions, but even with though he has the best intentions in the world, he just doesn't understand it. Yes, there's the possibility that bottling up stuff might come back to bite you in the end, but why bother worrying about that? Your method works, and, isn't being positive, well- positive?

"Are you sure you want to do this alone?" Gayatri looked at you, troubled, she knew interactions with that side of the family rarely brought you more than distress. They offered to be there with you for you countless times, but you'd rather leave them out of it, away from your family's scrutiny. "I am, 'Tri you don't have to worry about me" she laid her hand on top of yours, silently saying "I got you", you look in the mirror and finish fixing your hair for what you know will be an hours long martyrdom you have to endure in order to keep peace.

They both say goodbye at the door, Pavitr kisses you cheek, you know what they're thinking, but you can handle it, unpleasant experiences aren't the end of the world, and you have been avoiding this for long enough, there's no use in hiding from your problems.

"I got some ice cream in the freezer in case you need to vent a bit after it" He offers you

"Sounds nice" you respond with a weak smile, you won't vent, he knows that. It's still so nice of him to want to give you space to.

During the gathering, you shift your attention to trivial, small things, like your spine. It should be straight, you need to correct your posture, you look at your nails, they're not at their best, you should get them done, your steps seem off, you couldn't have forgotten how to walk, is that concerning? Maybe you should go to a doctor. How does that one uncle always manages to smell like watered down old wine? You don't even sit down yet, he doesn't seem drunk, maybe it's his natural smell. The air also smells like lemon, that's a nice touch. Touch. You have to touch people to greet them, it's okay, you've done it before, you'll be okay, touching isn't a big deal, it's just customary, don't worry, you're almost done.

For the time you're back home, your head feels too heavy on your shoulders, your muscles are tense, you want to lay down, but you won't. You know you're annoyed, but it doesn't mean anything, just knowing you're feeling bad never did anything, never helped.

You open the door, and pray Gayatri and Pavitr are away, you are not surprised when those prayers aren't answered, and you find Gayatri working in her laptop and Pavitr probably making coffee, judging by the smell.

"How did it go?" Gayatri asks meekly, she hoped you'd take a sit next to her, but you're going straight to your room.

"Fine." You'd have the decency to look her in the eye while answering, but in your face is obvious it didn't go "fine".

"Well, we still have that ice cream in the freezer, we can always eat it to celebrate, no?" It doesn't take a genius to know you were lying, so now you know she's trying to cheer you up. Normally it'd be sweet.

"No. if you want it that badly, eat it." You hoped that answer would give her a sort of clue, but it doesn't, now she's getting up from the office chair to go get you.

"It doesn't look like you're fine" she says, putting her hand on your arm

"No shit, Sherlock"

"Y/N, I know you're stressed, but she's just trying to help" Pavitr comes out of fucking nowhere to intervene

"Now where did you come from?" You really didn't want to say it in that tone, so bitchy and almost disgusted

"It's my apartment? It's hers too?" He doesn't back down, he just states the obvious and remain unfazed by your tone

"Mine too, so I'd like to go to my room."

They leave you alone along with alright, whatever you want's said under their breath, you don't care.

They're both very surprised to see their usually down to earth, cheery partner acting that way, but per explicit request, they leave them alone.

The two walk silently to the living room, sitting next to each other in the periwinkle couch.

"It must've been quite bad to have them like this" Pavitr started, he was verbalizing what was evident, but it needed to be said

"I can't even imagine how they must be feeling, or what they did to them" Gayatri sighed

"Do you think there's something we could do?"

"Right now? Leave them alone, probably, they won't mean whatever they say. And I'm also a little mad, but it's not the time to talk" Gayatri rested her head on her lover's shoulder, it's an attempt to calm the racing thoughts, but they both know it's not enough.

The rummaging and the sound of their things hitting the floor starts. Pavitr shakes and tries to stand up, Gayatri grips his hand tighter, and just looks at him, no words spoken. But he understands he must stay away. They hear your various sounds of distress, the hairs in their arms and nape spiking, as they look to each other's eyes, hoping for some kind of answer.

Until none of them can contain and just sprint to your room, the door is locked, but it's a fairly weak safe, and it only takes a strong push of Spider-Man on the door to break it. You're crouching on the floor, face puffy from all the crying, and the room absolutely trashed. Books you were so eager to read, now mistreated and damaged, art supplies you saved money for, spilled, laying around, some broken, clothes scattered, your figures and other accents from your shelf on the floor, uncared for, and of course, the glass vase that held the latest flowers you received, spilled and soaked some of your belongings and left a puddle on the floor, along with spiky broken glass. Your breathing was audible, a cry for strength, so you'd be able to bottle up everything again, you didn't even seemed bothered by the sound of the door being violently opened.

You lay at the middle of all the chaos, and with graceful movements, they cross the sea of clutter for you, careful to not break anything more.

Pavitr crouches too, facing you, and softly grabbing your wrists so you can't keep using your nails to hurt yourself, he can see the bruises already forming in multiple spots of your body. Gayatri doesn't touch, afraid it'll overstimulate you more. Instead, she hums a melody, both to help you snap out of it, and to steady your heartbeat.

You come back to reality, muttering apologies, and wanting to leave this all behind, you really just want to encapsule your emotions away and avoid seeing such expressions in their faces.

But they won't let you, not this time, no matter how long you need to talk, how long it takes you to actually talk, if you cry or want to scream in the middle of it, they are both now vowing to never let you reach your breaking point again.

You have two people to share your burdens, who will never think less of you for not being useful, who'll appreciate all your feelings, even the ugly, muddy, complicated ones.

I am going to be completely honest. I genuinely expected to be reading more of an epic shounen-style final battle where he uses all the cool corrupted demon powers and maybe goes a little wacky because that’s usually what happens in stories when the protagonist unlocks an evil power and has to fight his friends. NOT THIS????????

the situation has zero hope and he is just standing there one sidedly taking hits from his friends who are forced to kill him. while guiding them on how to do it. smiling and offering them words of encouragement. this is so devastating I feel sick

What if Paz somehow saved Sylwanin and the other kids from being, you know, killed. Just a little, wacky idea for you.

Ohhh, complicated question. I never imagined Paz was at Pandora at that time, tbh. Grace has been on Pandora for so fucking long, she's been there for 30 years. She's been there longer than Neytiri has been alive. There has never been a time Neytiri's life wasn't touched by the sky-people, which is sad to think about.

But back to Paz- I don't think she would've been around for that. BUT, if she was, well, it just postpones the inevitable, quite frankly. Sylwanin and Tsu'tey would've had their good relationships with Grace, and tensions would have continued for a while longer instead of the banning of avatars from Omaticaya land. I do think there would have been another incident that would've caused this ban, just later. Mining would have continued and Sylwanin is still alive and already disillusioned towards the humans. It just adds a really interested dynamic to Jake and Neytiri's relationship when Jake would enter the picture, Sylwanin would NOT be pleased; she was the biggest advocate for the humans beforehand, like Neytiri, I'm sure she feels somewhat responsible for the destruction.

Another note; I really hesitate at fanon characterization of Paz. It comes from a place of wanting Spider to have a parent he can think highly of, one who loved him and prioritized him and his ideals (and the comics hint this of course). In actuality, we know nothing about her except that she died in the Assault on the Tree of Souls. Aside from Trudy, every RDA soldier we see is extremely racist towards the Na'vi and is nothing but excited to wipe them out. I really caution against white savior-ing and humanizing the colonizers, it's a trait that is really overused in this series in particular. The recoms and Quaritch have no excuse and never will, and frankly, neither does Paz. It is really worrying how many people want to excuse them. I know you were just throwing out a scenario though.

Heheh the part where "Alastor goes all soft" is also a little on the part of RR!AU characterization, so it's a bit exaggerated. He's trying to ween his way in appealing to Vox again, but RR!AU Vox is just so tired. Alastor keeps bringing up the past....This was kind of a wacky scenario to write because it does skip/make you infer a lot of stages of development, but the AU is close enough to canon that I think it's not far to imagine filling in the gaps hhh....

9. What are your file name conventions?

I have terrible file organization. Many of them are named "a", "aa3", "asgv", "fhgh", or other random keyboard smashes. Recently, I have a bad habit of naming files "sketch1", "sk1", "skht1", or some misspelled way-- it's gotten so bad I'm up to "sketch22".... I find things by icon only.

14. Any favorite motifs?

Straight edges and shapes, maybe? I started drawing with an anime style though I'm mostly into western media-- I think it's very satisfying to have nice shape design/silhouettes though, but I don't draw in a super cartoony or exaggerated style so it's kind of hard to tell that I like and have fun doing it. I'm kind of scattered and like to dip my foot into everything unfortunately.

None really, but if I had to pick one for HH, maybe this one.

Thoughts on babygirl sunfyre?

the most beautiful dragon in the whole wide world, the goodest, bestest boye!!! the most capable of love!! aegon and sunfyre's bond defies time, space, the laws of gravity, common sense, any and all adversity!!

i have this mental image of sunfyre having the personality of an over-eager fox. this headcanon that the dragonkeepers love him the most because he is a sweetheart!! sunfyre is personable and charming and easy to underestimate as a wacky airhead, until aegon is in danger and he becomes terrifying. has the highest dragon kill count. will fly with a busted wing. will eat other dragons if he has to. will find aegon, will get to him no matter what and will. not. die. until mean rhaenyra gets her due for upsetting his boy!!!

this idea of sunfyre being the representation of everything aegon would be without all the trauma: funky, fun-loving, charming, mischievous, with so much love to give & begging for hugs!! frightening when necessary, rises up to the occasion every time, tenacious in achieving his goals, enduring!!

i like to imagine him liking people even when he is hurt & begging them for little scraps of food & affection so he grows back strong & can finally reunite with his little egg 😭 most of this answer is headcanon ramblings but sunfyre CAN and SHOULD be the BEST DRAGON EVER. awful creatures that should never have existed in the first place, but when sunfyre dies, it's supposed to be a TRAGEDY regardless. sunfyre as a symbol for a horrible beast with the capacity for greatness, for goodness, for overcoming their programming, for being more than an awful weapon of destruction, for LOVE!

in the final part of this post, i tried to imagine a scenario in which dragon-keepers suffered a reduction in personnel as a result of rhaenys' escape and aegon had to go down to the dragonpit and take care of sunfyre himself, feed him, clean out his stables, play with him etc. the potential for cuteness is beyond. bonus points if aegon uses the kylie jenner "stormi baby" voice on him

Dating Joui-era Takasugi Headcanons

A/N: It’s that time of the year when people want to feel a bit cozy and they write Christmas headcanons and all that jazz. BUT Joui-era Shinsuke is what makes me feel all cozy, and so, instead of Christmas headcanons I’ll opt for this :3 (unless y’all want me to actually write a christmas special with him LMAO sounds wacky af)

Warning: It's late. Idk what I've written. Random delirious thoughts I'm afraid. and also it gets a bit SMUTTY with the details

Let’s start with the period of “crushing” and namely “crushing” from his side. Chances are Takasugi had his eyes on you long before he decided to make a move. Something about being on war, something about being a tsundere, something about knowing that if he shows interest then Gin will DEFINITELY force his way in to get on his nerves; all those reasons were enough to make him reluctant.

He thought that crushes were like the common flu. Terrible at first, but it will go away if you ignore it. Eventually. Some day. Oh well.

Months have gone by and you are still living rent-free in his mind. Even when they are stationed far away, he can’t stop thinking about you and hopes he gets to outlive one more battle, just to see your face again.

He is always on the lookout for news about you. Whenever someone mentions your name, or anything that remotely resembles the first syllable of it, his ears perk up. He wants to know you are safe and doing well, but more importantly, he wants to hear that you are still not involved with anyone and won't be until the day he makes it back. Because, secretly, he hopes that when that day comes, he'll get to make you his.

Once, you sent him a letter. Nothing memorable or grandiose. Just you congratulating him on a victory, wishing a safe return and telling him you'll be waiting to see him soon. He never told you, but he treasured that letter, so much that he carried it inside his vest everywhere he went. The content itself wasn't as important, but the fact that you were thinking about him was all the motivation he needed.

At some point, he might start to write back. He’ll talk about the places they see, the fights they win, the petty arguments between Gintoki and him, how Tatsuma tried to buy out an entire red light district and how Zura rejected the advances of a general’s wife for a widow.

He mostly tries to keep his letters lighthearted, presenting you with the pretty side of things. He keeps the real ugliness of war to himself, and doesn’t really vent about his struggles. All he wants is to be close to you, but not too close as to be vulnerable. Not yet, at least.

I’d imagine him indirectly suggesting that some day you revisit certain places together. It’s more of a promise to himself, than an actual suggestion, hoping that one day he can actually deliver on that.

One would expect that when he finally comes back, he’d start interacting more with you and open up. WRONG. He reverts to his quiet and stoic self, acting as if you are no more than an acquaintance. It’s not that he isn’t interested. He simply prefers to let his eyes do the talking, when in company of the others.

If you catch him looking, he doesn’t immediately look away. He loves watching you and he loves how every time your eyes cross, you seem more flustered than before. The sight alone is enough to make him smile, that soft and nearly innocent smile he reserves for you exclusively.

I actually have this scenario in my head that involves camping around the fire with Joui 4. There’s laughing, there’s drinking and there’s talking, and during the entirety of it, you keep gawking at one another (lowkey eye-fucking one another OOPS) until everyone else falls asleep. When that happens, you sit side by side, Shinsuke adding more wood to the fire while you snuggle up to him, resting your head against his shoulder. A very warm, quiet and intimate moment you share together.

At this point, everyone knows something’s going on between you two, and naturally, they start to mess around by calling you “chibi’s girlfriend”. By “they” I most definitely mean Gintoki, though Zura and Tatsuma make sure to contribute with a chuckle. Shinsuke HATES this kind of jokes and is quick to dispute their claims, which in return leads to them suggesting they should get it on with you instead, considering how you’re single and all.

Gintoki because “How could a shrimp ever please you with his tiny shrimp dick”, Tatsuma because “bRoS beFOrE hOEs” and Katsura because… actually Katsura is the one who’s least likely to say that. Unless you are a widow. (auto correct made it window at first and I died at the idea of being window-sexual)

The jokes soon lose their momentum, and become sort of this daily routine he chooses to ignore. That is when it’s just the four of them. However, if Gintoki dares bring them up in your presence, then Shinsuke loses all self restraint and attempt to murder him by repeatedly stomping on his head, saying something along the lines of “You don’t need to carry an empty shell on your shoulders if you’re never gonna use it”

The only consolation is that you found his reaction so entertaining that you burst into laughter. Not at Gintoki’s attempted murder, but at Shinsuke’s adorable grumpy expressions.

When it’s just the two of you, Shinsuke feels much more at ease. He’ll probably offer to accompany you to places or join in on a task, considering how rare it is to spend some quality time together. Long walks through the woods, hitting up convenience stores miles away from the camp and Gintoki , “accidentally” hitting up all sorts of romantic hidden spots is definitely his thing.

He wants to thoroughly get to know you, and there’s no better way than sharing conversations without any disruptions. You can really talk to him about everything and he’ll listen without complaints, though expect him to tease you at any given time. It’s his way of flirting, and even if he calls you stupid, it’s just a term of endearment to him. When he is alone with you, he gets to forget all about warfare and tactics, becoming just a regular boy courting the girl he likes.

Honestly, even after all that, don’t expect a confession from him. He’ll either force you to say it yourself, or muster up the courage to straight up kiss you when the moment feels right. Going with the first one, he’ll insist to show you his most charming self until you can no longer exist around him without acting like a complete mess. That is when you blurt to him that you can’t wait for this war to be over, which has him all smirking and asking you what for. He really wants to hear you say it.

However, supposing that things don’t really go his way then he’ll be forced to make a move. He’d find an excuse to get you far away from everyone else, and when it’s clear, he’ll lean forward and press his lips against yours. He is not very experienced with romance. Correction: He is not experienced with romance AT ALL. For him to kiss you, it means that he likes you so much that his impulse takes over and he can’t help it anymore.

The kiss itself is forced, but oddly hesitant. It’s as if his eyes seek confirmation in yours, and when your lips answer him back instead, then you know it’s game over. In the blink of an eye, he has you pressed against his body, gloved fingers studying over the details of your face, hoping to somehow imprint the softness of your skin upon his pads. He is firm and intense, but gentle in a way that has you completely melting into his touch. That’s when both of you inaudibly decided that you won’t wait for war to decide your outcome.

Dates with him aren’t exactly dates in the traditional sense. Between relocating, battling and keeping your relationship a secret, he doesn’t have much time to take you out on fancy dates, but you knew that before mixing it up with him. Things will remain unchanged; secret meetups in the dead of night, strolling around stranded beaches and nearby woods, or, if he’s daring enough, his tent. What does change is the quality of said dates. (wink wink)

Like I said, he spends a lot of time away from you. Even when they go to Yoshiwara, he isn’t touching any woman because he can’t think of another woman the way he thinks about you. He wants you and you want him, and it doesn’t take long for things to boil over.

But let’s get more specific. If you find yourselves in the forest by the camp, then he most certainly has you back against a tree, knees around his waist, slowly thrusting into you with a hand over your mouth to muffle all sounds. It’s risky and anyone could spot you, but that’s what makes it even more fun. Sometimes he can’t help but groan against your ear, letting you know just how good you make him feel, right before replacing his hand gets with his lips. Deep kisses turn sloppy in between lovely grins and quiet chuckles, till you both climax as one.

When it’s not for a quickie, and especially for the first time, he’ll make an effort by either bringing you into his tent or taking you to the sea. It’s not so much about the place itself, but about how he’d much rather have you spend the night lying in his arms. It doesn’t matter how bleak and grim reality is. On those nights when the world quiets down, he really feels as if he has a chance of winning. As if by next dawn, the war will come to an end and he won’t ever need to say goodbye to you again.

Lastly, speaking about goodbyes. It becomes a habit between you to make stupid pinky promises about things. It can be something as silly as “I pinky swear to bring you a croquette sandwich tomorrow”, or something as profound as “I pinky swear I’ll come back alive”. He doesn’t want to make promises he can’t honor, but at the same time these promises bring comfort to you both. No matter how silly, a promise is about the future and as long as there is something that binds you to a shared future, then you have nothing to fear.

A/N: Sigh, you can’t tell me that Shinsuke in love isn’t a huge romantic. He might be a bit too cynic and sharp tongued at times, but that doesn’t prevent him from being an actual sweetheart. Plus, back then was when he was happiest. He’d be free to joke around and share a laugh without much guilt, and he’d be far more susceptible to falling in love T-T

I know you talked about it being unabashedly like the games (like the Mario movie) and potentially adapting sa1 BUT what kind of themes and messages would this theoretical movie have? And what might you change or modify if you’re adapting sa1. Or scenes you imagine would just be SOO cool and good to have. Personally I love early Sonics themes (topics?) around cycles of violence and abuse of power and ending them through compassion, (ex: calming Chaos or Amy’s plea to shadow) and resisting against authority,(those r what I got from those games, at least if I had to briefly summarize) so that’s what I would choose them to revolve around. i suppose as a disclaimer of some sort, the movies i want would adapt the games. so right off the bat im going to anex all the humans from these adaptations. so no two worlds theory and no maddie, tom, wade, whatever.

if the movies HAD to follow a similar scheme to what we got, where sonic and a human bond after getting isaeki'ed, i would either

1) have the human be maddie and get rid of tom completely. maddie has the motivation of wanting to help animals as a veternarian and her goal would be to want to move on from green hills to help more people, but pressure from people around her keeps her stagnant. sonic arriving would prove to maddie that she's capable of doing more and better, and that her opnion matters more than those around her. basically the core message of the movie would be not to let people hold you back, and to never be afraid to be yourself

2) have the human be a young child. look i know people have mixed thoughts on chris from sonic x but having a character more similar in age to sonic would make a lot more sense- the audience market would be able to connect a lot better with the human, and i think the themes of growing up and being different than what your parents want you to be could be nice. i think the main themes would be to never be afraid to stand up for what you believe in to show compassion to those around you, and to be who you're meant to be no matter what others think. HOWEVER.... the ideal scenario is that the movies adapt the games, so without further ado......

GAMES I WOULD ADAPT

okay the basic idea is that there would be five movies as like, phase one. they adapt the games people are most familiar with, in this order:

sonic cd

sonic 3

sa1

sa2

"hey, what about sonic 1?" to be honest there's nothing in sonic one that couldnt easily be established in conjunction to sonic 2 so i think it'd be best to just squish the two together. also, i KNOW if there was a whole movie dedicated to sonic one, there would be an insistence to give sonic some sort of backstory, which i frankly hate. he doesn't NEED a backstory- he saw an injustice, and decided to correct it. simple as that.

sonic is popular enough of a franchise that you can just jump into the story without knowing a whole lot about it. the general public is usually aware of sonic, eggman, and tails, so having the first movie focus on those three without worrying about a backstory for sonic and eggman could easily work.

i would have liked sonic cd to occur before sonic 2 but i think sonic 2 sets up a good foundation for the wackiness sonic will get into- right now we'll just introduce sonic's heroics, eggman's machines, and the power of the chaos emeralds. sonic cd can help further explore the power of the chaos emeralds, and will also set up the time travel of sonic 06

objectively you COULD cut out sonic cd and have amy's arc be implemented in sa1, considering her storyline there, but i really do think the time travel in cd is a good segway for sonic 06.

sonic 3 and sonic adventure 1 explores the lore of the chaos emerald and the echidna clan. i think it'd be fun to mention gerald robotnik in either movie, as well as the gizoids.

sa1 and sa2 would probably just be one to one adaptations because they're a complete movie all on their own, honestly. most changes would be cosmetic but the STORY would not change.

after these games, the ones i would probably adapt are

sonic heroes, sonic rush, sonic 06, sonic unleashed. going to be honest there's not REALLY good story oriented games after this other than sonic generations, and sonic frontiers. so unleashed would be my stopping point from now, although i imagine this series would span quite a few years, so by the time we'd get to a sonic frontiers adaption, the game would have been out for several, several years. anyway.

CORE THEMES...

The main five games i wanted to be adapted (Sonic 2, sonic cd, sonic 3, sonic adventure 1, and sonic adventure 2) have the most cohesive storyline together, so i would be fine if the movies stopped after those five. but anyway i like to think each story builds off of itself

sonic 2

Movie Summary: A fight with Eggman leads Sonic to crash into West Side Island. Sonic meets Tails, who fixes up his plane and offers him friendship and expresses interest in helping Sonic. Sonic, however, tries to shake him off, not interested in friends or anything that might slow him down. Tails sets out to defeat Eggman by himself to prove himself to Sonic, and they eventually learn to work together to stop Eggman from collecting all of the mythical Chaos emeralds. Sonic learns the power of friendship and takes Tails under his wing, and the two go on to chase after Eggman, who now has an interest in something called Little Planet...

Themes: the main aspect of this story is sonic learning to care about others and work with a team. sonic saves the day and plays up being a hero, but when he meets tails, he doesn't know what to do with him. sonic has compassion and wants to do him right, but just doesn't know WHAT to do. sonic working alongside someone after going after eggman alone for so long is VERY difficult for him, but tails eventually teaches him Friendship. i guess the main theme of this is being aware of how your actions affect others, and that doing things with friends is better than doing it alone.

sonic cd

Movie Summary: Sonic and Tails investigate Little Planet and meet Amy Rose, who predicted that she'd meet the love of her life on Little Planet. Sonic, Tails, and Amy investigate Eggman's wrong doings until Eggman unveils his latest invention- Metal Sonic! Metal Sonic captures Amy, and Amy offers Metal Sonic compassion and frienship, while Sonic and Tails collect the emeralds and time travel to restore the land. Eggman manages to sweep in at the last moment and steal all of the emeralds- however, Metal Sonic, who learned kindness from Amy, decides to betray Eggman and aids the heroes in getting the emeralds back. Metal Sonic is destroyed in the fight, but the day is saved; Amy stays behind while Sonic and Tails head to Angel Island so she can train and become as great as Sonic one day.

Theme: the main theme of this adaptation is compassion- amy shows compassion to metal sonic, which i think would lead to metal sonic betraying eggman to help the heroes. sonic realises that threats don't always HAVE to stay threats- that saving the day is great, but helping others on an individual level can mean the world.

okay after these two movies, the game adaptations are essentially one to one, so the summaries aren't very important

sonic 3

sonic and tails investigate angel island. the main theme here builds off of the compassion that amy teaches sonic in the previous one; that sometimes people are misguided, and when you help them from the wrong path, you just might make a really good friend. sonic befriends knuckles after their miscommunication is finally cleared up.

sonic adventure 1

the main themes of the game still stand. sonic's learned from amy and tails the power of friendship, hope, and compassion, and uses these same values to defeat perfect chaos, by offering it the same virtues amy and tails gave him, and what he gave to knuckles.

sonic adventure two

same as the original game, tbh. this adaptation changes very, very little. i suppose the other message is that even if you try your best, some people don't want to be saved, and you can't save everyone.

my idea for these games is the emphasis on friendship and the power you have together. tails teaches sonic friendship, amy teaches him compassion, and knuckles teaches him forgiveness, and he uses these tools to help him defeat perfect chaos. and individually, these characters learn bravery from sonic, which aid them in helping save the world during sa2.

Reagan General: LITERALLY has a set of four robotic hands including her own. Don’t tell me they can not be used for tickle purposes, I’m telling you. Bad perspective on tickling, got tickled by others (not rand, fuck rand) as a kid and liked it, but is extremely touch-aversed now. Will kick and flail but like it- just instinct. Touch starved as shit too.  Lee:  Dorky, snorty laugh. Absolutely uncharacteristic- voice actually goes a few octaves higher. Little honks too. Worst spots are sides, ribs and armpits, and her “ha”s are pronounced, like individually and she likes to throw her head back and sorta guffaw. ALSO a lee- but more low key. At least she thinks so, she can get just as panicky as Brett when tickling comes up in convos. She did not get much of that (thanks, Rand), and will PUNCH ANYONE WHO AT LEAST THREATENS HER WITH IT!! Brett and her are perf contrasts as switches- imagine them ganging up on somebody! 

Ler: Teasiest ler ever and doesn’t even intend it, because she’s just cynical. Uses her knowledge of Cognito tech to her advantages. Always uses her typical dry, snarky comments to make remarks about her lees and comments on their physical and mental state, likes occasional baby-talk and spider-fingers ESPECIALLY with that evil evil HAND THING!! super methodical when it comes to tickles.  Brett General: Loves tickling. Super scared and embarrassed about it, and honestly this man needs to calm down. He’s at everyone’s beck and call- kind of like a dog- which brings me to the touch-starved vibes this guy has. Lol.  Since he’s kind of a sentimental nostalgic d00d  (escapist tendencies much) he openly craves tickles and has lee moods frequently. I don’t like to hc characters as in the community, but he is so in the community. Working for gov. organization means you know, like just about anything so he would know these niche people.  Lee: Nervous as a lee, but will still answer “yes” honestly if he’s asked if he’s ticklish. But such a lee. He literally had a robot thingy pat him on the back. Maaaybe (DEFINETLY) cheer up tickles from Reagan are a given for this man. From anyone, really. He ALSO likes to use the tech to his advantage- maybe simulating tickle scenarios in the hologram room and such, and would LITERALLY orchestrate wacky plots to get his deserved tickles. Likes to be teased and he answers with stuff like “YES!! YES I AM A TICKLISH BOY!!” and like also his worst spots are his stomach, feet and pits!! He laughs so wildly. he’ll literally holler and just kinda has an enthusiastic laugh- kinda like his personality.  

Ler: SPEAAAKING of the nostalgia thing- Maybe he can tap in to his powers and use them for ler-purposes later? Not a ler but he tries. Always overthinks teasing and his kinda-- oblivious-cuteness? leeness can kinda be infectious on a giggly lee!! Teases and pep-talks the shit out of them, also baby talk and tickle talk is just chefs kiss. He loves it when people are lees to his tickling it’s just so fun for him both ways around.    Gigi General: Never considered the fact that two of her co-workers are massive touch-starved fools and the tickle capabilities of Cognito tech, so never really worried about it. This in turn leads to situations. 

Lee: Always says “no no no no no” and backs away and always curses at her lees. Bad at hiding the fact she’s ticklish, so never really gets pedicures and such. Worst spot is her belly. Like THE worst- way too ticklish for her own liking- and someone of her status.  Ler:  Master ler, teases in a way that you won’t tell it is, like a passive-aggressive cheerleader in the locker room. So, I was reading your theory regarding how it’s possible that Nick, Ian, and Shawn are yandere for MC, and I couldn’t help but wonder how it would be like if, in an AU, MC got the harem ending. Like, Jack now has to begrudgingly share his sunshine with three other lovesick dudes, all the while MC is still oblivious to how desperately in love each guy is for them. This would never work out in cannon, but I just couldn’t help but think of funny scenarios regarding this idea. What do you think?

That’s hilarious. I’m not sure that could happen since Jack doesn’t like to share, but man... imagine an MC living in a big house with the four of them for some contrived reason. There, the four guys are constantly fighting over MC’s affection while MC is completely oblivious like every stereotypical harem protagonist.

Add in the idea that they’re all yandere, and you’ve got a dark comedy right there full of blood splatter the guys have to keep hidden from MC finding out. Wacky hijinx and senseless violence ensue!

It’s hard to imagine how that might work out with 4 yanderes getting along unless it was just a silly and nonsensical comedy AU... or a just PWP smut story.

I can imagine there would be some MCs who would be thrilled to have a harem of hot guys who adore them, even to dangerous extremes. I mean... just look at all the yandere fans with multiple yandere husbandos.

Then of course there’s the MCs who don’t recognize they’re being flirted at, whether it’s because they’re oblivious or they’ve convinced themselves that they’re misunderstanding the signals being sent out. My MC Alice is definitely one of the latter.

Alice would be absolutely shocked to learn that she has multiple yanderes thirsting after her and wondering what the heck they see in her. I can imagine it resulting in some pretty interesting situations.

Oh, that reminds me. I really need to get more progress done with Sunshine in Hell.

"Maybe you're thinking I should take everything my friend Lun-Yu tells me with a grain of salt. She also told me that day one of her favorite psychoanalytic theorists was Wilfred Bion. I'd never read Bion before, so after she left I read a bit about him, and I found online the complete text of a seminar he held in Paris in 1978. The beginning of this seminar is very interesting. At least it was to me. Bion says that he wants his listeners to imagine a scenario: they're seeing a new patient, a twenty-five-year-old man who comes in complaining of some dissatisfaction in his family life. Bion says he's not sure what family the man is referring to, and asks his age, which the man gives as forty-five. Bion is confused. He just said the man was twenty-five, and then he notices that the patient has wrinkles, and appears in his sixties. He asks his listeners to consider this confusing state of affairs and to determine whether they would, under the circumstances, take on such a patient.

He says the question is much like the question of what you would do if you walked into a bookstore, picked up a book, and read the scenario he just described. He asks you if you would continue reading this book. Then he says, imagine it's not a book, but a piece of music. Or a building you're in, and you see the way the light falls, you see the colors coming through the window. Do you want to think about the window some more?

I imagine these questions were somewhat perplexing to some of the participants in the seminar. At one point in the transcript, someone in the audience makes an "inaudible reference" to "psychotic experience." Bion calls that a very "cerebral" question, not a practical one to the analyst. He says that analysts shouldn't be blinded by labels like manic-depressive or schizophrenic. Rather, they should be asking themselves what kinds of artists they are and whether there's an interesting spark that occurs with a potential analysand that might lead to something productive in the consulting room or, as he puts it, the "atelier." Somebody asks what an analyst is supposed to do if he's not really the artistic type, and Bion says that if that's the case, then the person's in the wrong line of work. In fact, he says, he doesn't even really know what would be the right line of work, since a person needs to be an artist in everyday life.

The he throws out the term artist, which has obviously become meaningless. The point is, he tells them, that reducing things to "scientific" diagnoses or narrow definitions is really the death of things. "You will have to be able to have a chance of feeling that the interpretation you give is a beautiful one, or that you get a beautiful response from the patient. This aesthetic element of beauty makes a very difficult situation tolerable."

Obviously I loved that. I wrote Lun-Yu and told her about the seminar I'd read and how it had moved me. She said, "Oh, that's the 'bad' Bion, from his mystical phase. That's also the part I love best." Apparently sometimes he wasn't quite so wacky."

I was just thinking of a scenario where readers and Ruggies kids by some wacky hijinks end up in the past where I would like to imagine is during the very soap opera drama and what their reactions would be.

I mean imagine getting living breathing proof that in the end it’s going right for them and they stay together just UGH.

Would they have Ruggies personality? Looks? What would their relationship and interactions be?

In my fic, I think Ruggie would be shocked. All of that raw sex finally paid off!! Depending on how old the kid describes the two of you to be would tell him if he should be worried or not... School needs to come first!! But... It's also a great sign that you won't be returning to your world without him!!!! He wins!!!!!!!!!!! They get to take care of the little kid in Ramshackle and sometimes Savanaclaw, playing the pseudo role of teen parents. Like eating dinner together, going to watch Ruggie play MagiShift and be serious about it... The obligatory moment of the child sleeping between their parents because their room is too scary... Ah... Seriously... This sounds super fun... <3

I think that because Ruggie is a beastman, he has more dominant genes over a human. He is the more 'evolved' between him and our cutie MC!! At least that's what I think!! I am a personal fan of gap moe too and genetic theory, so!! If Ruggie and MC have a girl, she will look almost identical to him and act just like him. If they have a boy, he'll be just like MC!! If they're twins?? In my AU they won't be identical because I think having tiny versions of the two of them mixed would be super cute to me.

Ruggie (in my opinion I am not a paid worker for the Twst series) being a teen dad is terrifying to Ruggie. But, he doesn't want to be like his father and run off and abandon anyone because of something he's not a big fan of. He loves MC. and he loves his baby!! Toddler?? Old enough to talk kid!!

Epel... I think he would seize and pass away. Reduced to mere atoms. How could this happen?? The sweet and pure MC... Getting her back blown out bi-weekly by some dude with fleas???????????????? He would assume it's a horrific dream and stay in bed the rest of the week. Big baby...

If you could make a few changes to Dream Daddy to make it more to your tastes, what would they be?

I take it that scrapping the whole concept and starting from the beginning would constitute more than "a few" changes? All the characters being literal fathers, with so much time devoted to their relationships with their children, is downright weird in what is supposed to be a dating sim, and dad jokes absolutely cannot carry an entire script and get old very fast. I also hate the Dadsona as a concept, and find that customizable main characters sharply limit what can be done with them (including sex scenes). However, if I had to stick to those parameters, and also avoid any explicit content lest it no longer be safe for social media:

Get rid of at least some of the child characters. Maybe one or two of the love interests can still have children for extra development or whatever, but they don't all need them. As much as I don't care for Amanda or for how the game uses her to fill in time that would be better suited to giving the Dadsona a personality beyond bad puns, I imagine she'd have to stay to preserve the theming.

Most of the minigames can be removed, as they add nothing whatsoever to the experience beyond tedium. Brian's route will need to be completely rewritten to not revolve around gimmicky minigame set pieces as much as it does, and to actually feel romantic. Given his physique, he'd be a good opportunity to have the game discuss what "daddy" actually means to queer men, and how Brian feels about that as a part of his relationship with the Dadsona.

Damien needs to be trans beyond the single missable line of dialogue. There are multiple angles to work that in and still keep his Victorian cosplayer who's secretly a boring IT guy characterization. Maybe cosplaying and feeling like he was born in the wrong century got him realizing some things, maybe his love of yaoi fanfiction had something to do with it...just something. Also, while we can't do anything explicit, those ending pinups could stand to be a bit spicier all around. Let Damian show off one of the binders he talks about!

Robert and Joseph's routes should not punish the player for pursuing sex. It's unexpected, prudish, and frankly suggests a rather juvenile understanding of the role of sex in romantic relationships. If the Dadsona sleeps with Robert early but continues to do well on their dates, have him come to the realization that he was wrong to be so disrespectful toward his casual hookups, and that he appreciates the Dadsona for continually making the effort to get close to him even after they've had sex. Joseph's good ending has to be rewritten entirely to not be as awful as it is; have him and Mary agree to an open relationship, or decide to get divorced since neither of them are happy in their marriage (here's one place where the kids not existing would allow for a tidier resolution, if that's a problem). Personally I'd be fine with the thrill of an ongoing adulterous fling, but I know many would consider that inappropriate.

Also with Joseph, if he's going to be a Protestant youth minister his faith needs to actually come into play in the story. How does it affect his perception of his sexuality, and of his failure of a marriage? The answers will of course depend on what denomination he's supposed to be, so clarifying that would be helpful. This would be a nice opportunity to explore the mind of a queer religious person, because they do in fact exist. (Carefully nonspecific American Protestantism may very well be the most boring religious background ever conceived, but at least it's better than nothing?)

Oh, and for the cult ending - Calvinist Protestantism has branches that are essentially death cults already, so lean into those for your wacky non-canon horror scenario instead of dressing Joseph up like a Catholic priest just for the aesthetic.

Craig could stand to feel more bisexual. He already gets hit on by multiple women throughout his route, but throw a man or two in there as well so that when he finally gets with the Dadsona it feels less like he randomly decided to experiment.

Hugo and Matt are more or less fine as far as I can recall. Possibly one or both of them can have fade-to-black sex with the Dadsona before their ending, for extra spice. This would mean that the Dadsona could have sex with multiple men before getting a good ending, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with that. These people should all be mature enough to handle the concept of casual sex.

first and silliest, i think christine is responsible for the rumor that transporter chief kyle is mean. she said it as a joke once and the rumor got a life of its own

to me, christine, unlike erica, la'an, spock and uhura, does not enter the kids jokes the fandom makes. the fandom at large loves to joke about pike and una as mom and dad (respectively) and their kids going on space adventures. while i do find that cute, i don't like including christine in that scenario. i think christine, due to her not being starfleet, and therefore not being in the chain of command, not sharing their jokes about starfleet, wouldn't really be one of the kids, which leads her to have a more grounded relationship with both pike and una.

to me, her and una, end up developing a really amazing friendship. una, who is more slow to trust and let people in, is not ready for the hurricane that is a determined christine chapel. and the two of them are together in various tense moments in season one where una has to be more open, exposed (revealing that she is an illyrian, the whole surgery scene). una, who keeps everyone at arms length, can't and... doesn't want to keep christine at a distance.

her and pike, i like to think of them having this very warm friendship that's easy to miss. they are both stubborn, adventurous people, who don't let others take care of them. i can see the two of them being able to just... nudge the other one in the right direction. christine getting him to sickbay after a mission when he is determined to go back to the bridge, pike roaming the halls and seeing christine working on an experiment and distracting her with stories about his farm until she forgets about what she is doing and realizes how tired she is.

her and erica are besties. i think we'll eventually learn they were in the war together (it explains why the two of them and m'benga have a sort of code only they know during the pilot). i think they also sleep together sometimes, no strings attached (and that eventually they get tangled up in those strings, but anyway). i like to imagine christine dragging erica on trips, going rock-climbing together, having all these wacky adventures that only they laugh about (everyone else is horrified and mouthing how did you not die).

her and la'an, look... christine getting la'an to lower her walls? making la'an laugh? is something that is very personal to me. la'an is determined, very closed-off but she is becoming more open and i think allowing christine to show her the more lighthearted things that she's missed out on would be very sweet. i also like the idea of la'an teaching christine how to fight more efficiently. christine's style is more: i'm faster than you and i'm going to take you down. while la'an really knows the technique. and i think la'an likes to feel useful, so she wouldn't just accept christine showing her what she missed out on while becoming a baddass starfleet chief of security. so showing her how to fight, would be a fair trade.

christine and uhura love to dance. that's my first thought. christine and uhura twirling around the room, laughing obnoxiously loud, singing along to the music, being the center of gravity and warmth in the room. i'm a big shipper of christine and uhura in the tos timeline, but in the snw... i see them more as sweet friends, the two of them growing together, having a good time, both becoming more connected with starfleet, enterprise and each other.

right now my thoughts about her and m'benga are shifting. babs and jess described them as a familial sort of relationship and i always had that in my mind as a sibling sort of thing. the two of them knowing way too much about each other's lives, being nosy, bantering. but right now, with the latest episode, i'm starting to think its more a family forged in fire sort of situation. they are family because no one else could ever understand what they went through. they are still very close, still banter and quip at each other, though.
