Heya, here's my event for my 500 followers milestone. It's been fun writing my silly thoughts and sharing it on this blog. Thanks for all the support y'all have given me. But, as I've mentioned in my last post, I'll start writing on a different blog.

✦ The Event ───

Basically, you tell me about your selfship and I give you a set of headcanons based on the SFW alphabet (see content under the cut for the alphabet). For moots and followers that I recognize, I’ll do 10 letters. For everyone else, 8 letters. And for anons, 6 letters.

For fandoms, please keep it within Blue Lock, Wind Breaker, Mashle, and Kaiju no. 8!

O - Other People What do other people think about your relationship? (Family, friends, co-workers, etc.)

P - Patience How patient are they? Who's the more patient one between the two of you? What happens if they lose their patience?

Q - Quirks What are some quirks you adopted from each other? Or what are the quirks that only come out when you're together?

R - Rituals What are some things in your routines that you like to do together? Is it common or unusual? How frequent is it? Is it a daily, weekly, or annual thing?

S - Support How do they show their support for your hobbies and interests? How involved are they?

T - Time Apart How do you spend your time apart? Who caves first? Who handles it better?

U - Uniqueness What sets you apart from other couples?

V - Values What are your shared values?

W - Wildcard Random headcanon about your relationship

X - XOXO What are the little things that they do for you? Do you notice them or maybe they go unnoticed?

This is so random, but hearing Shayne talk about Sword AF in the Smosh After Dark Q&A gave me a sense of closure. I'd already accepted that they weren't gonna do a season 3, but to hear him sort of confirm what I was thinking happened (that it was a lot work and time and too little return on investment, despite the fact that they loved doing it), I feel ready to leave the charred remains of my beloved piece of media buried in the ground.

I think BAF Legacy was able to have a proper send-off because the story was already written by somebody else and it had a definite ending with an already expected finite number of episodes, whereas Sword AF didn't really have an end in sight so the series fizzling out was sort of inevitable. I'm sad about it, but at the end of the day, I still get to see Shayne, Chanse, Damien, Amanda, and Angela work together and as fans we get to experience how BAF Legacy and Sword AF shifted all 5 of their relationships to one another to a cozier, sweeter space y'know? (I'm thinking specifically of Shayne and Angela becoming one of my favorite duos ever through Sword AF)

Like, BAF Legacy is where I first saw that Amanda and Shayne really clicked and it's what made me so excited when I saw that they were hosting Smosh Mouth together! To this day, the 5 of them- all together, give or take other cast members- is my personal favorite lineup. I loved the series so much so I WANT there to be something more dramatic and final (?) to its end than it just not being a sustainable series to produce, but sometimes that's all there is.

I am not ready to watch Smosh vs. Zombies yet, but I've seen what people say online, and I already know that Amanda and Courtney have a queer-coded codependent friendship thing going on and I will absolutely eat it up I love Courtmanda and I ADORE wlw pining. COURTMANDA WLW PINING? I won!! Sorry that was such a long message!!!! TLDR: I loved Sword AF but it's gone and that's okay. I ship courtmanda.

i said a lot of my own thoughts in the tags of this reblog, but i think that beyond saf taking a lot of effort without a lot of return, i don't think enough people were really batting for it. i know amanda's talked about loving it, angela and chanse play dnd in their own time, shayne always wanted to get into dnd, and damien is obviously the one with the most passion as the dm. but when push comes to shove, i think the cast rather put their time into things like bit city because it's closer to that kind of true improv that they love.

characters i think also contributed to the longevity of shows. baf legacy let them change character every episode, but saf leaves them "stuck" in the same character for seasons on end. reoccurring characters at smosh are never as serious as the saf characters and maybe the cast just didn't vibe with it as much?

you should def give smosh vs zombies a watch when you come around to it. though i love long ttrpg series, it seems like a good middle ground between fans of ttrpg and what smosh likes to do. and yes, the courtmanda/gracevannah goes HARD!!! i adore them!!!!

if you poke around my blog, you see i started to post a lot about d20 and dropout recently. that's honestly just me filling the void that saf left behind and it's working! hoping that one day a smosh cast member will end up in the dome! that would make my little ttrpg heart soooooo happy!

Three Random Facts About Yourself

My singing voice was part of a movie soundtrack! There was a big budget movie filmed on campus when I was in undergrad, and they wanted our choir to sing a song for it, so we did! I even got royalty checks from it for a while which was VERY appreciated. We also got to meet the director (Mike Newell), who showed up to our recording mid-way through without identifying himself, sat down in the audience (we were recording in the chapel, so technically it was open), waited until we’d sung our last note, and then jumped to his feet clapping enthusiastically, and yelling “MARVELOUS! BRAVO!” so loudly we all startled (and were wondering WTF was going on and why a random guy had crashed our recording to cheer for us, lol). I was also technically an extra for that movie, which means my Bacon number is 2, but I’m not actually on screen. (There were 2 days of filming for it, and I was there for day 1 where we didn’t get to the scene, and then I had to miss day 2 because my grandma was in the hospital and I had to go to say goodbye. I can’t decide if it’s funny or not that my grandma was proudly telling all the doctors and nurses that I skipped filming in a Hollywood film to see her and they all clearly thought it was a hallucination from the morphine and that I was just humoring her when I agreed. She was too busy being proud to notice, which was probably for the best.)

I’m married to @sufficientlylargen and have been for 14 years (and we’ve been together for 22.5 years). 

I’ve steered a wooden tall ship on the Pacific Ocean! :D (I’m terrible at it, lol.) My previous fandom was Horatio Hornblower, and I’ve always loved tall ships–and my original novel involves some scenes on tall ships–so I signed up for a two-week long training course on the Lady Washington so I would be able to write things like climbing the rigging accurately. It was an amazing experience and one of the most physically demanding things I’ve ever done, but also pretty magical (apart from the bit where I got stuck in the rigging and the bit where I almost went overboard and the two times I got mild hypothermia, lol. But if you ever want details about what it’s like to snuggle for warmth with an attractive stranger, let me know, because I am happy to share. :D )

I've given a lot of random facts over tag games, so I hope I am not repeating myself with those

I have the bad habit of crossing one leg over the other when I sit and I've been told off many times (for good reason) -it's a hard habit to kick

I always say my favourite animal is horses, but my true first favourite animal was cows and I asked for one for the first ten-ish years of my life - I now have a bunch of cow plushies!

I was my high school's "official" fanfiction writer for 3 years, I had a facebook page and everything. People came up to me in the corridors and between classes to requests fics and I'd bring a print version when I was done

I used to have very long hair (about 15 inches long) until I chopped it into a chin-length bob in cégep (college) and dyed it highlighter pink

I love making puns and the most common reaction is heavy eyerolls

It’s been a while since we’ve had sito headcanons!!! Have there been any additions to the world building of sito since the last time???

There have been a couple of things! Or at least more things that I can kinda comfortably mention lol:

So we officially have Price being in love with Nikolai now, however they aren't together (yet) they just pine and literally everyone around them knows

Price no longer got his hat from Alex in universe, instead he got it from Nikolai which we will learn more about in the NikPrice one-shot (still working on it, its gonna be so long 😭)

You guys get some stuff on Price's sister now that I've officially started building her (thank you therapist is laswell's wife anon)

Her name is Josephine Laswell (Price), she took Laswell's last name while they were married.

She's an on base therapist who typically does short term sessions with people, and usually they are sessions that the soldiers specifically sign up for, not ones they are forced into

However, Price knows that a lot of times therapists will just sign through the papers for the military members far too quickly, and he wanted to make sure Roach was okay so he asked his sister to take him on as a patient since he knew she would actually fully make sure he was okay before sending him back into the field.

She only goes by her first name on base, it was a request from both Price and Laswell who didn't want her getting caught up in their work if something happened. Because of that her name tags only ever say "Dr. Jo" or "Dr. Josephine"

Price calls her Josie as a nickname and Laswell calls her Pheenie as a nickname

Soap definitely doesn't tell his family when he brings Ghost and Roach home with him for the first time

Like he talks to his family at least once a week on a big family video call, and straight up sometimes Ghost and Roach will just be chilling in the background so they assume that Soap has told his family

Then they go home with him and meet them for the first time and Soap's mom is like "John why didn't you tell us you had boyfriends!!!"

Then its just a big jumble of Scottish words as the entire family start like jumping on Soap who is returning with just as much energy

Then suddenly it just stops and Mama MacTavish is like "anyways, you two both come inside its so nice to meet you, here let me give you a hug"

Also Roach definitely thinks he is the youngest out of their trio until Soap finally admits (gets caught) about lying about his age and Roach finds out that he and Soap are actually the same age and he legit gets so excited about it just because now when Soap tries to pull the "older and wiser" card he gets to throw it back in his face

Was thinking about Roach's first life again and particularly his childhood and thought I'd give some more on that plus a fun behind the scenes

When Roach thinks about that memory from when he was a child of his dad throwing him into the river, he remembers the location. A long dirt Roach through the woods leading to a little river with a bridge and highway above it

Fun facts, I actually used a place that my family used to go when I was younger as inspiration for the place. So the place where Roach got thrown into the river is technically real and exists in Arkansas lmao

I think Roach, in his first life, because he spend so much time trying to get out of his house to get away from his parents spent a lot of time in the woods around his house

Spending time in the woods meant getting use to all sorts of critters/creatures as well as getting good at spotting things like snakes so that he could avoid him

That being said he was definitely the type of southern kid/teen who would go outside for like five minutes then come back up to the house with a snake in one hand and a possum in the other lmao

He's never mentioned that he really isn't afraid of any animals to the 141 before

Jackson knows because he definitely watched Roach pick up enough random ass snakes/rats/whatever else during their time on Griggs squad. Point is, Roach has no fear

The 141 discover this bit by bit

They're tracking through the woods toward one of their objectives and suddenly Roach rushes forward and grabs Price, pulling him to a stop

The whole team are confused/lowkey annoyed until Roach steps forward and picks up the snake that Price was about to step on

A rat ends up running into the break room on base. Gaz freaks tf out and refuses to get off of the couch. Roach walks in and within like two minutes is carrying the rat outside in his hands

Just little things like this that the 141 eventually have to get used to because it's just part of Roach's charm lmao

Roach's first kiss in his first life was with the son of his church's homophobic ass preacher. They would sneak away from after church activities and into the woods to "hang out" which for two repressed teenage gays really just meant making out

Roach genuinely thought he was going to marry that guy and their relationship lasted until Roach decided he was going to leave. He asked him to leave with him

He said no because he was too afraid to tell his parents yet. Roach never held it against him, but their relationship ended and Roach never saw him again after he left

The same boy did exist in his new life, but Roach stayed clear of him because of Simon/the mental age difference

Currently, both Ghost and Price have both had glimpses of their first life through dreams

I've mentioned Jackson having struggles with sudden loud noises and flashes of light due to his first life, but I think he also has issues with planes/aircrafts because of the memory of the crash

Jackson is also a southern boy, thinking from like Louisiana. He can kinda turn his accent on and off, but most of the time it onlycomes out when he's passionate/in the middle of sex. He can also speak Louisiana French

Honestly my idea of what Jackson looks like changes every two seconds he's like a chameleon so he has like no in universe appearance yet dkfnfn

His sense of style however? Stylish man to say the least

Like somehow always looks put together, even in sweatpants and a tee shirt. It kinda pisses Gaz off sometimes, but most of the time he's just like "God damn my boyfriend is hot."

Headcanon that Gaz loves spicy foods and assumes that Jackson can't take any spice so he puts some in his food at one point to prank him

He's terrible surprised when Jackson just eats the food with no issue. Jackson has to be like "babe I've literally grown up eating Cajun food have you never had Cajun food" and then he makes Gaz something with a lot of spice and Gaz is the one who ends up not able to handle it sjfbjfndjdj

I'm shitty at anything related to dexterity, like manual activity in general. BUT I really like making stationery creations like greeting cards, decorating gifts or boxes in general.

I love drawings (including fanarts, paintings, and pictures). Really. I LOVE drawings. I watched a lot of videos of critics, other artists' drawings, anything related to drawing in general. But i'm not interested in making any (I haven't drawn since I'm a teen, and I think the last time I drew anything was during my anatomy class for my lessons lol). I accept that it wasn't for me, so I compensate by nourishing myself with many, many images, and I frequently have times when I just look at them even if I have already seen them hundreds of times before. The only thing i kinda practiced myself is watercolor painting, basically for relaxing purposes.

But if i wanted to be recognized in one art in particular (aside of writing because it's also an important part of my life, but i'm gonna talk about it in another ask), it's editing. I was one of these kids watching AMVs, and I still do (you can still find tags related to it on my blog!). I love the Non/Disney community (and I said "hi" to them if they read this post 👋) which is the biggest one I know and they are all incredible for putting so many incredible plots (not only ships related even if it's also a big part of it too!). And I think that's the part I'm excited about editing, it can go further than syncing clips with music, you can also tell a story!

Oh my god, i'm already done. Let's do the next one.

This is a really random message that is the product of a few conversations I've had with my sister (who also reads your work). Your work makes me feel so incredibly safe and secure. I have a developmental disability (autism) that my parents denied, and it led to me having to raise myself emotionally throughout my teen years because my parents didn't know how to deal with me. I find a lot of comfort in your works because of how dark they are. I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but I have a difficult time finding enjoyment in content that isn't very dark. Tag You're It series has been very special to me because of how it deals with toxic family members. In fact, I find a lot of solace in your blog, because you talk so much about dealing with unhealthy family dynamics.

it definitely does make sense and honestly, i completely get where you’re coming from with having a difficult time finding enjoyment in content that isn’t dark. for me personally, i dislike content that is overly fluffy and tooth-rottingly sweet and excessively/absurdly happy because i find it extremely unrealistic, and consuming content like that actually upsets me more because it feels so unattainable and fake. that’s why i enjoy creating and consuming things with bittersweet endings; because they feel a lot more real and, in my opinion, a lot more hopeful and comforting. it’s also why i find such extreme comfort in the todoroki family; their family dynamics feel so relatable and there’s something so comforting in looking at a character you love or a character who’s significant to you and going ‘yeah, i get that. yeah, i went through something similar, too’. it makes you feel less alone and sometimes, as in the case of shouto for example, it gives you hope, too—hope that you can be as strong as he is, that you can overcome your traumas etc as well, just like he is doing. it can also be very cathartic!!

Random Fact #1

I have ADHD so I tend to forget things, leave things unfinished, not answered etc. (so maybe me answering this could be a miracle haha)

Random Fact #2

I know how to play the piano and the ukulele, I come from a family that plays music and loves to sing, so I grew up in that rich musical environment.

And that leads me to Random Fact #3

I used to do Musical Theater for a long time (I sing and act but I struggle with the dancing part)

I did my big performances at college and I almost, and I say almost changed careers to that when my theater friends started applying for AMDA, Julliard, etc. (I wanted to apply to Julliard)

But I didn't went through it because 1. of the uncertainty that comes with theater and because even though I love it I think my passion is somewhere else. and 2. tuitions man... studying in the states is crazy expensive
