Day 32: Secrets, Satori... and Koroks
The track network in the tunnels down below Crab Island is immense. There are monsters aplenty - and a shrine!
I ascend out of the central lava island and find myself in a bright morning, not too far from the tunnel entrance. That was less of a diversion, geographically, than I thought it was going to be. But I need to get on to the geoglyph.
Coming up round the back of YunoboCo HQ makes me feel like I haven't got very far in a day or so of travel… but I find a korok at the top, and a secret tunnel hiding Yunobo's diary.
Tumblr media
He writes that the Gorons were sick and upset when the eruption stopped and the area cooled down. I guess they're used to heat. Yunobo founded YunoboCo to get the city booming again, to help everyone. Those two kids, Slergo and Offrack, seem like his biggest fans. He went to investigate the Gloom to keep everyone safe… and whatever that imposter is caught him. Poor guy.
I climb back out, and head on my way.
I keep seeing these little chunks of vertebrae about. I can't work out where they're from, or what they might be used for. Could I build a skeleton? Maybe one day.
I come upon another of those Satori blossom trees.
Tumblr media
I offer an apple, and the Satori reveals the caves nearby.
Tumblr media
I can see so far across the lava fields. But all the caves are in the opposite direction as the tower I've just seen. I mark them for later.
A korok requests help in reaching a friend, and as I look for a safe route through the scope, I spot something on top of a tall rock formation. It looks like part of a geoglyph. And of course, it looks like that's the bit with the tear. I sense climbing in my future.
I sort of… bowl the korok down the hill… and straight into a monster camp. So much for a safe route. I defeat the bokoblins, and unite the koroks. They're camped right by a shrine, so I deal with that as night closes in.

The Nintendo team knew that after collecting 900 Korok seeds in BOTW we'd have NO PROBLEM gluing a Korok to a piece of wood and slapping a rocket on there to propel him across a river.
call it a Korocket

Historia: A Comprehensive Guide to Hyrule's Oldest Places- The Faron Region
Note that anything in italics was originally written by @two-turtleducks
Tumblr media
In the wilds of the Faron region, there are strange ruins with carvings depicting boars, owls, and dragons. These ruins are associated with various sets of armor and ceremonial garb that seemed to belong to a tribal society of warriors who were adept at various types of magic. The most puzzling thing about these ruins and clothing is that they are some of the oldest in all of Hyrule, and for all appearances, the people these belonged to are no longer in existence, as if they quietly fizzled out. There are no known descendants of this mysterious "Zonai Tribe", and none of the peoples of Hyrule can lay claim to their presumed territories (even if they technically belong to the Kingdom of Hyrule). Archaeologists to this day know next to nothing about this civilization, and it is one of the most debated areas in all of Hyrulean academia.
---
Fylysyti here! Now, I'm not entirely sure what is in the Faron region either, but the amazing ruins and everything included are SOOOOO mysterious! I heard from a little bird that there is some super structure deep within the bowels of Lake Floria... I wonder if anyone is planning to investigate it?
Word on the Wind
Thermals rest your wings, birds of a feather! Word on the Wind is that the priests and priestesses of various divine dedications have been watching the skies with shock and awe! No confirmation yet on what exactly they are watching for, but we will keep our ears to the air and update you when possible!
Oakie's Navel
Note that I, Fylysyti, found a really weird acorn with strange markings on it! I have absolutely zero clue what is written on it, but I decided that I would share it anyway! No clue what made me think of the name "Oakie's Navel" though...

My Forest spirit
A legend of Zelda BOTW/TOTK Yandere x Reader. This is obviously cannon divergent. Fem!Y/N is short and Curvy in this, and is often described with long hair. This story will contain NSFW!scenes, violence and profanity. MDNI
Next Chapter
Tumblr media
Chapter 1: My knight in shinning armour
“Yahaha you found me!” A little Korok laughed as I stared down at him.
My ears twitched excitedly as it jumped up into my arms. The little forest spirits loved me. They always have. I grew up in this forest after my mother left me here. The clothes on my back are woven from fronds the Koroks brought me and I just ran around barefoot. I’ve only ever seen anyone like me once. He wore a cloak and was muttering about stopping the “princess” whatever that means.
A group of Koroks ran past my legs as the shaking of maracas grew closer. Their behaviour startled me, they shouldn’t fear Hestu… they’re a close friend of all of us.
“Sister Y/N! There are people, we must hide!”
I was dragged behind a tree as Hestu’s humming grew louder. Strange clacking noises grew closer, as well as other voices.
“I can’t believe you of all people will wield the Master Sword!”
“Revali ease up on Link, he’s a wonderful knight to me!” A feminine voice called back.
My eyes widened at the voices! No one ever enters the forest, what are they here for? What is a… Master Sword? I watched from behind the tree and the silent man in the middle of the group glanced in my direction. My large frond mask was still covering my face, so I scurried behind the tree with the other Koroks. They continued further into the forest and I ran between trees to watch them. As they approached the centre of the forest, I realised what they had come for, the strange thing in the ground. So that’s what it’s called, the Master Sword.
The silent one stepped forward and grabbed the hilt of the ancient blade. He grunted in pain as he pulled it up out of the ground and held it above his head proudly. I watched him from atop a tree, eyes wide and excited. Based off of Hestu’s cheers, this must be an amazing accomplishment. I should cheer too.
I clapped excitedly as the Koroks beside me seemed confused but then joined me in celebration. The group gasped and looked up to where we were, drawing these strange objects from their backs. Hestu gasped and ran in front of them.
“NO NO! Weapons down, you can’t hurt Sister Y/N!”
Weapons? My eyes widened beneath the mask as I slid to be hidden by the leaves. One of the women step forward, her tan skin and deep crimson hair complimented by the deep green of the Forrest. She placed her curved blade on the floor and held her hands up beside her head.
“Please don’t run dear, we had no idea you were friend not foe. The war has everyone incredibly stressed.”
“War?” I mutter, poking my head out of the leaves.
Hestu looks up at me and laughs gesturing for me to jump down. I slid off of the tree and landed on the stone beside Hestu. They shake their maracas happily as I smile at them beneath my mask. The woman who had spoken to me seemed shocked, I’m unsure why though.
“Ah… my apologies for staring, that was rude. My name is Urbosa, I’m assuming you’re Y/N.”
I nod as a few Koroks come and stand beside my legs, watching the group closely and protectively.
“This is Sister Y/N! She’s a spirit of the forest like the Koroks and I!” Hestu happily said.
“Sister? She’s clearly not anything like you all! She looks like your average Hylian!” The strange bird person yelled.
The large man behind him slapped him on the back. He winced but stayed quiet as the blonde woman stepped forward.
“I’m so sorry for us startling you Y/N. We had to retrieve the Master Sword to help win the war against Ganon. Do you… live here? What are you wearing?”
“Fronds.”
“Ah, so you do speak. I suppose you’re like Link then, he only speaks around his friends.”
“Link?”
“Yes, he’s my knight, the one with the Master Sword.”
“Master… I used to..”
“Did you guard the sword?” She asked.
“No, I used to use the zappies it made to start my campfires! How am I meant to start fires now?” I frown, jabbing the man beside her.
He just pulled a strange rock from his pocket and place it in my hand. I raised a brow and he pulled out a second, striking it against the stone on the floor and lighting a stick on fire nearby.
“Whoa! Pocket campfire! Fair trade fair trade!” I hold the rock in my hand in wonder, removing my mask to get a better look at it.
The man before me just stared straight at my face before grabbing my wrist.
“Huh? You can’t have it back, it was a trade!”
He just grunted and pulled me up off the ground and held me over his shoulder. One hand held the Master Sword while the other rested on the bump of my behind. The breeze ran right through me as his hand rhythmically squeezed. Is this how people interact? The Koroks don’t really have hands… maybe it’s to make sure I wouldn’t fall.
“Link! That’s inappropriate!”
“Hyaa!” He began to run, his grip becoming tighter as began to slip and held him in fear.
“LINK!”
“SISTER Y/N! Awww, maybe it’s good she sees the outside world, look after her.” Hestu sighed.
“Of course, we will,” Urbosa answered. Running to catch up with the others who were chasing Link.
Tumblr media
New Yandere gained, Link.
Hey look at you, you managed to capture the knights heart! Now time for some facts about your new Yandere. (basically head cannons)
It's no surprise that Link is incredibly protective over you, he would let Zelda die if it meant he could ensure your safety.
He's also very physically affectionate. He must always have at least one hand on you and when he hasn't for a long time... He tends to get very handsy.
He gives you plenty of kisses the moment that people stop looking. If he feels like someone is moving in on his “territory” he will just begin groping you from behind until they get the message.

Hey so as you guys know I've been playing Tears
So I finally decided to write something for it!
WARNING TO EVERYONE, MAJOR TEARS OF THE KINGDOMS SPOILERS DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED!!!
“I need to reach my friend!”
The world that was once Wild’s Hyrule had changed- drastically. Not anymore did the guardians lay dormant, nor did the Sheikah towers stand tall- the Divine Beasts had been laid to rest and while the lands stayed the same, the skies seemed to become home to more than the native Islander hawk.
Changed for better or for worse, you didn’t quite know. The growling patches of gloom circling chasms to a world beneath the surface wasn’t really all that fun to you- nor were the claws of concentrated evil that crept up from nowhere to try and snatch you without a second thought. But to see how Hyrule seemed to prosper with more life. The settlement by the castle was bigger now, a fort that stood proud to the floating pinnacle that was Hyrule castle and with more warriors seasoned to fight for the place that was their home.
Purah was amazed to see you again and you didn’t know how to feel about being smaller than her now.
Felt wrong in the more comedic sense.
All across the land you had come to find new people, make new friends! Tulin had grown so much! As had Riju! Sidon’s finacée, Yona her name, was a beautiful and cute manta ray! (Never in your life had you been jealous about both partners of a relationship that badly) Paya was now chief! Yunobo had a beard! And you had met the most amazing Rito reporter named Penn! A man who had named your new best friend in these trying times.
And trying times they were- you had no idea how you were keeping up with Wild. A little older now, an inch or two taller with a stronger build and more of an mature edge to him- well, that’s what you thought when you first woke up here in Lookout Landing, a teary eyed Wild looking down at you before he near crushed you underneath his weight, Flora just as teared and happily embracing you once you were finally stood.
You had no idea what happened, not how you got here nor where the rest of the Chain were- but you were glad you at least had the Champion by your side.
Sometimes.
This time was one of those times you were ready to toss him.
“If you connect that fucking rocket to that baby’s backpack I will shove a bomb flower down your throat.” Rauru’s hand was glowing with power, frozen along with the Zonai rocket it was lifting as you stood just a few paces away. “I mean it, Link, if you send them flying we’re duking it out.”
You looked so intimidating with the Glide suit, you just knew it. (Oh internal dialogue, how sarcastic you could be)
The korok shook, little sniffles catching your ears as they gazed at the device just inches away from being glued to the material of their rucksack before sighing in relief as the rocket was dropped with a heavy thud just beside them, Wild turning with an ‘oh-so-innocent’ smile.
“They need to reach their friend-” He pointed a thumb behind him, “A few hills over- I was just helping.”
You frowned “I don’t know what happened while you were away but you’ve become more sadistic.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You never do.” Both sharing a look, you shook your head. “Hand them over to me, I’ll get them to their buddy.”
Wild’s hand fell to his hip, watching you waddle over excitedly as he side stepped, your hands out in a grabby motion as the small forest child threw their little stubby hands up with an excited “Guide!” that made your heart soar as you hauled them into the air with a similar excited “Forest baby!”
“You know we still need to get to Rito village- it’ll get dark by the time we arrive if we do this.”
“Don’t care, forest babies come first.”
He smirked, “Koroks are older than you.”
“Your mum.”
“Very mature.”
“Who are you, Twilight?” A pang went through your heart. “Ah, no, sorry that was rude-”
Wild’s face had curled in a more comedic way when you turned to look at him, sour and betrayed in the way the skin folded. “Am I really turning into him?”
Pausing, you looked him up and down- “I mean…you kinda do remind me of him right now.”
Wild raised a brow; you grinned. “You remember when Wolfie fell into that bush?”
When you burst into laughter he rolled his eyes, letting out a “hardy-har” while the korok still wiggled happily in the confines of your arms, it’s bag now over your shoulder to relieve some of the weight. (You focused on the spirit and missed the way the Champion desperately pawed at the sticks in his flowing hair)
“I’m not going with you this time- we’ve already lost a lot of hours.” Crossing his arms, the blonde continued. “If you go I’ll head towards the village.”
You shurgged. “Alright, I’ll see you there.”
The Champion narrowed his eyes. “I’m serious, (Name).”
“I’m sure you are.”
“...I don’t like your tone.”
Clearing your throat, you raised it an octave. “I’m sure you are!”
Wild did not laugh when you did.
If there was one thing you knew about the Champion it was that he was attached to your side. Stuck stronger than the fuse of the Zonai magic, the blonde followed you around like a Hylian retriever followed those that held food towards them. If you strayed too far, he would get you, if you paused mid journey, he paused, there was so many occasion that something had caught your eye mid ride on one of the many vehicles he had created and the man would slow down to let you go study it- lest you hop off, something you had almost done once when he refused to stop.
You really did appreciate all he did, you knew he had a lot on his mind, but with all that was happening didn’t you both deserve to have some moments not caught up the drama of the end of the fucking world???
“I’ll see you in a little bit!” Daylight was falling and it would be harder to find the campfire smoke in the night. “Keep the bed in the inn warm for me, pretty boy!”
And thus began your hike. Your little companion happily chattering your ear off as you walked away from the hero, hearing his heavy sigh and impatient foot tapping loose volume the further and further you got.
You had made it past the first hill, Wild’s form out of your sight as you glanced back when the sound out wheels caught your attention. The korok let out a noise of confusion at the strange noise but you merely spared a giggle, standing aside as the beam cycle (minus the beam) slowed to a stop beside you- your hero refusing to look your way as he waited.
“Get on.”
“Aren’t you gonna ask me on a date first?”
He grunted and you gave him the grace to leave him be, being careful balancing the korok in your grasp as you hopped onto the odd bike and wrapped an arm around the man’s waist, another still holding the forest spirit tight.
“You ready?”
“Aye, aye, captain.”
You missed the small smile that grew on his face, the Zonai devices lighting up with its phantom green glow as the hero started the machine back up and headed towards the direction of the smoke. Without a second thought, you gently kissed his nape, unable to reach his cheek and nuzzled into his back with a relaxed hum.
Wild straightened proudly.
“You still have sticks in your hair.”
“Don’t ruin this for me.”

SO I was inspired by This Reblog and absolutely adore any and all dragon Aus. And was hit with a rapid bit of inspiration.
Danny sighed through his nose, rolling his shoulders as another blob coiled across his arm like a serpent. It was an interesting thing, how they mimicked other forms, though he didn't understand all of it.
Normally they wouldn't mimic him so much, not so strongly at least. But well, the ghosts here were mere whispers, visible to a few and unable to interact much. Which is what really brought him here in the first place.
Apparently something is blocking the access to the Realms here, enough that someone needs to do something about it. And look, he's not the Ghost King (thank fuck, he'd never be able to have Star-Time if he was) but he does sort of have a job to do. As the child of Time and new Ancient of Space to-be.
Not to mention that as said new Ancient-of-Space-to-be the Observants can't complain that much about him entering a world they didn't like.
And oh boy, this world. Yikes. There's some corrupted stuff freaking everywhere (even if not visibly), and monsters. And he does mean monsters, a lot of these things are corrupted as all heck- though thankfully the skeletal undead ones leave him alone no matter what form he takes.
On the other hand? There's this little gremlin child that reminds him of Ellie that runs into him repeatedly. Danny is starting to think it's on purpose actually. Child? Child where are your caretakers, you can't just charge at the lion-horse people- ... Danny despises prophecies. Alright child, he's going to start following you because you haven't even eaten tonight apparently. And your weapon has broken. Twice. And you're apparently surrounded by ghosts, how has he not noticed- alright. OKAY. This is fine.
-------------------------
Link, would like everyone to know, that he is actually having so much fun right now! There's this sort-of Hylian that he found when looking for Koroks whose sort of like a stal-hylian? Or something? But they're nice!
And they have wings! He thought it was some sort of cloak at first, but no, they're full on wings! And he's going to convince them to take him flying. He will.
After he takes care of this itching on his back, because it's getting really distracting...
Yes I used Flight Rising specifically because @fairy-lights-and-blobs mentioned it specifically for Danny's wings.

A Danny & Link <3 But also feel free to imagine them as mixed with any dragon really.

some random ideas for the totk rewritten project
krog (korok) seeds
i think i found a way to include krog seeds even if i reintroduced bags for expanding your inventory- what if the krog seeds are redeemed for the amiibo sets and maybe a few new things? that way you are not forced to engage with krog puzzles if you are tired of them and its not essential either, you can choose what armor set you want instead of being "surpised" by the same link hat three times in a row for fighting your way through the depths (like i was lol)
considering im rewriting the krog forest to be like a minidungeon with a unique miniboss and boss AND you start the quest for restoring the master sword there i think that this is acceptable
what if one of the expensive rewards was a krog armor set that includes the mask from the botw DLC but adds two more pieces, its effect could be to turn invisible as the krogs are to most people; considering how they are not invisible to everyone it could still work with important NPCs still seeing you AND you could run through monster camps without them chasing you if you just want to get through without you attacking them- since its expensive you gotta gather alot of krog seeds to buy it meaning it wouldnt make encounters much easier bc you have to fight alot of monsters before being able to afford it anyway and the effect is removed once you attack an enemy .... or maybe once you are spotted you can stand still and the effect restores itself nhfkjdnkjfdk
food + storage
to raise the difficulty a little i thought about bringing bottles back, they are physical items this time with a limited number and are able to store medicine and soup that has no expiration date; personally i like cooking tho so i want to keep it, maybe with the effect of being a bit more limited in number and, while not spoiling completely, it loses some of its effectiveness over time
how you use them im not yet sure, either the same way in inventory (which i think i will go for since i dont want to change it that drastically and with the added balance of limitation i think that is still fine) or on some kind of item wheel you can set yourself like in skyward sword
there are bags you can find as bigger items that will expand your weapon, shield or bow inventory slots, perhaps a small bag gives you one and a big one two slots- it would be a bigger and different reward for exploring or quests and fills the spot for inventory expansion
theres a chest in links house (i thought maybe links house is still links but they built onto it so zelda has a place to stay as well, like a bigger/double house) that can hold armor sets if you dont want to keep carrying all of them around but dont want to sell them either
repairable weapons through zelda
weapons still break but are full weapons again, i found the excuse of them all being useless now through the cataclysm ... somehow for some reason a pretty blatant way for forcing you to fuse stuff bc its literally the only viable thing to do, but i like the idea of inventing new weapons with materials; to balance it out and give you an incentive to help out your friends i figured that at first weapons still break, but in each region is a smith that can teach zelda (who is your companion in this rewrite) how to repair weapons of a certain type (zora, spear, goron, two handed, rito, bows, gerudo, one handed-- perhaps it is a longer quest of idk .. bringing certain weapons to those smith or similar) which she can do anywhere outside combat;
how broken the weapon is determines how much extra material she may need to do it- im still working on it but i got the idea of the status of the weapon being symbolized in three stages, fine, damaged and broken; damaged is the one that needs less material to fix up, broken costs more- a broken one might still occupy an inventory slot but is unusable or very very bad damage wise, you can throw it away either manually or when you try to pick up a new one you can choose if you want to swap it out (just like they did with stuff from chests in totk .. idk why they didnt add that to in game weapons lying on the ground too) or choose to keep it and repair it once you are out of combat
arrow types
i dont like the menuing in totk for the arrows ... it was one of the most frustrating things to deal with (especialyl bc it sorted your inventory too??? when you used the sorting in the quick menu???) so i wanted to change that a little, havign to go into the quick menu everytime for each arrow i find tedious too, so;
there are more arrow types but they are craftable with arrows and materials, you can craft them in bulk out of combat (the typical types from botw -fire,eletric,ice,bombs- but then add those confusion ones, wind, the cloudy shroom thingy, poison .. perhaps a few more if i can think of more but not too mayn to not clutter it again)
enigma stones function
i wanted to change how enigma stones function somewhat, they dont "enhance" the ability of the champion/sage (i still wanna call them chmapions bc thats what they areeeee) it allows them to link an ability of theirs to link without the orginal champion having to be present or dead, the stones come in set of two each and function somewhat like a magic communication between the player and the champion, once you obtain the second piece its embedded into links shiekah arm prosthetic (also something of my rewrite) and allow him to call upon their ability at will through a second selection wheel
ranch ruins
the ranch ruins i wanted to be rebuild (bc thats cool and i thought restoration was a theme? lol) and maybe you help rebuild it proper and as thanks you can put your horses there to roam around all at once when not taken out to ride, not a big gameplay thing but a neat quest with a rebuilding thing of a building we havent seen in its prime and a neat addition of letting you see all your horsies at once :)
(totk rewritten project)

Korok Hunting. Just a fun fic
Summary: I guess Korok torture is the only trigger I can think of but tldr the things you've been seeing on Tiktok of people just LAUNCHING them. This is that fic with Link and Reader being chaotic. This is their story.
Tumblr media
Also, it is most definitely inspired by THIS video I saw on Twt.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
"I hear it. I hear it, but Link," Y/N said, resting her hand on his shoulder. He blinked at the woman as he tried to think of a good build to help transport the exhausted Korok. What wild idea did she have? When she whispered, "The rockets," at him, he immediately understood just what kind of friend he had.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* *:・゚✧*:・゚✧
"Are you sure this'll work, Rocket Lady?" The Korok asked, still slumped on its backpack.
"Yeah! Totally even!" She said, adjusting the rocket as Link attached them.
They both stepped back, examing the work. They effectively attached 10 rockets to this Korok who was starting to sweat.
"Think it needs more?" Link asked softly.
"Maybe? I mean, they get good distance as is and like, only last a short while." She made a shade over her eyes with her hand as she eyed where the smoke was coming from. "We have to aim him."
Link shook his head as he made the adjustments.
The Korok gulped thickly, praying to the Great Deku Tree as he hoped his friend wouldn't see him being blasted by whatever contraptions these Hylians just strapped to him.
"You ready, buddy?" Y/N asked with a grin as Link picked up a stick. "Remember Link. All in the hips."
The Korok glanced over to see Link gearing up for the swing before it yelled, "Wait! I can walk! I can walk!"
"Too late!" Y/N beamed as Link's stick smacked against the rocket, kicking them all on.
With a blink, the Korok was launched.
The Korok was suddenly grateful it wasn't a flesh bag as he flew quickly toward the smoke signal. Quickly, his friend came into view.
A loud noise was heard from the rockets and they suddenly disappeared, launching him into his friend's tent. The Korok bounced out and lay on the ground, panting.
"My friend!"
"My dear friend, Hylians are insane."
The Korok blinked at his friend as he lay on the ground before looking at the two Hylians cheering from the hill his friend had come from.
"And yet, they're perfect to help us. Remember when Hestu almost fell off a cliff cuz he forgot how to do magic? We used ours to make a bouncy lilypad in the water and he got stuck in the tree."
"This is nothing like that."
"That was awesome!" Y/N cheered as they ran up. "Little buddy, that was so cool! You launched so fast!"
'He could've died," Link muttered as he tried to keep a stoic face. His grin and excitement were apparent.
"But he didn't! Aha! That was awesome. Okay! What if we attach him to a little glider? Like the ones you got from the capsule things and-and-and rockets!" Y/N smiled and swooned. "Actually, strap me too. Cuz that sounds like a lot of fun."
"No," Link said as the Korok waddled over to him to gift him the seeds.

Hi ! Sorry if you already answered that but does Wild care about the god reveal thing ? Cause Time is shiny- And he loves shiny things. But at the same time would Wild actually just stuck around him more ? Since yk he prefers to hang out with the huh... Spirit related people ? Or does he go and be lonely :') ? Does he even get lonely ? Since he steals the others things because it's shiny some must have to be upset with him right ? And some might hold grudges against him for more time than others and knowing that Wild probably can't help himself but : I need shiny thing.
The others are probably going to be upset at him that he never stop doing that. And then some are going to either confront him about it and he might close up in his shell or they'll avoid him or be cold with him and that would impact the relationship. And since he doesn't talk much all by himself he might not have any interactions or very few and that might be for battles etc... So would he get lonely ?
Hylia did I ramble... I love your AU ! 'S not my fault you did smt to make my brain go : Zoomies time my cotton ball
Before the God Reveal, everyone just kind of assumed that Time was a spirit. And they assumed this specifically because Wild was so close with him. Wild can communicate ideas telepathically with other spirits and spiritual beings- like Wars and Time. He can communicate complete sentences and words to Spirit, who is a Reaper. Time, apart from being generally shiny, seems to understand Wild, and Wild is very close with him, so everyone just assumed. They had no reason to think that a literal God was among them.
(Sky knew because he’s had enough experience with Gods to recognize them. Spirit knew because of his massive displays of power, which only the Reaper could detect. But everyone else was clueless. At least… at first).
So the God Reveal doesn’t really change how Wild sees Time. He’s still a shiny guy. Still one of the few people in the group that can understand him. They stay close, because honestly? Wild doesn’t care about Gods. Even a little bit. He cares more about the people that Time hurt because of his secrets. The trust between them is rattled, but yeah. Wild still talks to him. He still pokes at the eye. Touches the armor. Forgets about personal space.
Wild can get lonely. He’s a very social creature, having lived surrounded by forest spirits his whole life- er, his whole… death? He doesn’t remember being alive haha! Just the Blupees and Koroks that play with him, the Deku Tree that guides him, the Lord of the Mountains for which he’s named. Wild thrives off of closeness. He needs companionship.
And I’ve actually gotten a lot of asks about this haha! The Cryptid Chain are not mad a Wild. They’ll get (understandably) annoyed when Wild tries to touch them or steal their things, but it’s mostly playful. Harmless. There’s no bad blood between them. They all LOVE Wild! He’s such a little guy. And he’s a good brother. They WANT him to be close to them.
EVEN LEGEND.
(Legend’s just… Legend about it)
And on the communication thing! It’s true that only Wars, Time, and Spirit can telepathically shares ideas (and in Spirit’s case, whole conversations) with him, but that doesn’t mean that the others can’t understand him! Wild is VERY expressive, and the others have gotten very good at reading his body language! It’s a two way street- both sides need to put effort into being understood. Wild is so very loved. I need you to know that.

My random thoughts on the TotK gameplay video:
Return of the koroks! I hope blupees are still in the game too. I love the little creatures.
Tumblr media
They panned over to show one of the dragons when they said "there are a lot of ways to get up to the sky islands." So I'm begging you Nintendo, please let that mean we can ride the dragons. Please
Tumblr media
I really like the dying animation that the Constructs have. Makes it obvious they're more mechanical than flesh
Link: You fuckers don't know about my ultimate weapon, spear-spear. It's a spear taped onto the end of another spear
Wait, does this mean we’ll be able to fuse the master sword with other weapons, to potentially fix it??
New plants!! Also now we finally have some use for those monster parts we keep collecting
I am in love with the eyeball arrow. My aim has never been good on objects that are moving, so this is a godsend. I have a feeling I’m going to be fighting a lot of keese in the new game to farm keese eyeballs
Can't believe Link became a mechanical engineer. Making his own cars and stuff. smh do those even meet any safety regulations
The ascend ability means we no longer have to wait for it to stop raining to climb mountains!
HEY what do you mean "If you're stuck in a cage, you can use this ability to escape"" NO come back here and explain yourself. What cage?
Zonai Crop circles??
Tumblr media
I'm still really looking forward to TotK!

AAAAAAAH I LOVE YOUR WRITING !!! i saw your requests were open so im wondering if you could do Legend or warriors (whichever you prefer!) with a reader who's extremely afraid of butterflies like they see one and are already halfway across the forest! like immediate sprinting away
AHHH! TY FOR YOUR TIME :D
KAHSKSHSIW THIS IS SO ME. I TOO FREAK OUT WHEN A BUTTERFLY COMES NEAR ME-
ALSO IM SO SORRY THAT I TOOK SO LONG??? IM SO TERRIBLE MY BAD I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU REBLOGGING MY STUFF <3333
Legend:
The crunching of leaves can be heard all around as the mindless chatter among the group can be heard in the room.
The Chain has allowed themselves to rest after Wild introduced them to the Great Deku Tree. Old man nature welcomed the various heroes and their companion to rest. He is slightly found of the young adult who interacts kindly to the children of the forest.
Speaking of the Koroks, they are currently giggling and flying about as they played with [Name]. They seemed to be playing a simpler version of hide-n-seek. The koroks are giggling behind their hands as they tried to quiet their laughter. [Name] pretends for a moment that they are unable to find, and loudly calls for their name.
Watching them for a moment as he smiles in content before focusing his attention on his inventory. [Name]'s laughter is heard and the following giggling and shrieking of the Koroks being found. Quickly rushing away, desperately trying not to be caught do the koroks move. [Name] laughing loudly; not moving from their spot since they found it too amusing.
The Hero moves his attention towards his pouch, making sure that none of his items are misplaced. Knowing that the young koroks are curious and mean no harm, he's content for the time being. Enjoying the moment of being able to relax and not being hunted down by malice blooded monsters.
A loud shriek is heard as Legend's ears twitch at the sound. A sound that came from the person who he thought was safe. He saw them play with the koroks just a second ago. Without hesitation he stands up from his place and moves his body to the sound.
"[Name]!?"
The sight that greets Legend is comical. [Name] pushing themselves against a tree as they stare at the little creature on a koroks hand. it's giggling as it brings it closer them as they let out a small sound of fear. Legend walks over to see what made them scream, and taking a closer look at the creature is a small butterfly.
The butterfly calmly stands on the hand, and gently flaps it's wings in a calm motion. It's antennae would twitch here and there but it wasn't really moving.
This confuses Legend as he gently grabs [Name] and pulls them away from the tree. But they refuse to move from the spot as they make dead eye contact with the butterfly. "Are you alright? Do you want to move from this place?" He asked but [Name] just shook their head and refused to move an inch. Slowly moving his focus back onto the butterfly as he thought he saw movement. The korok inched closer to them which caused the butterfly to twitch and fly forward.
It was like a chain reaction when that happened.
The korok moves, then the butterfly moves forward. Which then causes [Name] to scream once more and quickly back away, but Legend was still holding onto them. It made the both of them fall onto the ground; both keeping an eye onto the butterfly. Legend blinks before shaking his lover, "Did you seriously react that negatively to a tiny fucking butterfly!?!"
"They just as bad as spiders, Legend!" They shouted back at him with a slight voice crack as the butterfly flies away from them. A harsh sigh escapes from his lips. As he rolled his eyes before grabbing them and dragging them away. The little korok giggling in the background/

Warriors:
Warriors looks down at the map that Twilight lent him. It's a miniature copy of the outside of Twilight's castle town; he asked Warriors for a favor and gave him the map to help him. It was to search for a certain bug that has a unique color that should be easy to spot because of it. Wars had no problem with it, so he agreed to go and look for it.
[Name] found out about his little exploration and decided that they wanted to go with him to keep him company. Warriors didn't mind and readily agreed; silently cheering since he wanted a bit of alone time with them.
Both of them rode together with rented horses from castle town as they neared an area on where the bug was supposed to be. Wars looked up from the map when they heard [Name] shuffled from behind; they gently got off and patted their horse to soothe them. They smiled up at him before speaking, "Just wanted to stretch my legs for a bit since I noticed us slowing down."
Wars returned their smile before sliding off himself, "No worries, we're already in the area on where it should be." [Name] nodded before walking around for a bit and resting underneath a tree. Beside the tree is a cliff that has a group of of flowers near the edge.
Warrior's steps forward and begins searching at the tree and the surrounding area. He remembers Twilight saying that this was an easy way to obtain money since the person who collects these bugs offer a huge sum or rupees. That caught his attention, someone who paid a a lot just for some bugs? Count him in.
[Name] joined in because they wanted to spend time with Wars. Plus have an in depth look at Twilight's Hyrule. They remember the land being big and having space as well as beautiful from their screen. And they were right, the graphics on the game didn't do the actual place justice. Just even exploring castle town itself was a shock! The game showed an always moving place, but actually experiencing it was different.
A small sound of jingle can be heard from which caught the attention of the two them. Wars noticing it because it was something that was told to him that he was near the bug, but [Name] slightly tensed up because they finally realized what that noise meant.
Warriors looked up at the cliff, squinting a bit he noticed that faint sparkle of color. It moved in between the flowers that are near the edge before it showed itself fully and slowly flew down gently near them. He perked up and stayed stilled but kept his focus on it; he wasn't going to scare it away and lose rupees.
Meanwhile [Name] eyed the butterfly as it came closer to them. Fuck, they should've told Warriors before hand. With zero hesitation they crawled away from Wars and the butterfly, and with a safe distance away from them did they sprinted away.
Wars to preoccupied on staying still so he wouldn't startle the golden bug. Before quickly snatching it once it was in reach for him. Grinning widely he turned towards [Name] to show them, but didn't see them near the tree.
Spinning around before he caught a glimpse of their [color] tunic a good feet away from him. "Oh wow! Did you catch it? Cool! Don't come near me with it in your hands" They exclaimed as they eyed his hands with slight fear. Wars staring for a moment before it clicked in his head, "Are you afraid of butterfly, [Name]?"
"Pfft- Whaat! No way I'm just- NO WARS STAY AWAY FROM ME"

Let's talk about Ogerpon!
I have several headcanon ideas for this little creature and you all get to suffer with me. Pure speculation and noncanon ideas follow. Most of these were developed with the considerable help of @the-starkindler!
Tumblr media
adorable face, 10/10 no notes (drawing by @funakounasoul, thank you love!)
Let's start with a big one: The Ogerpon living on Oni Mountain is not the only member of her species. She is a member of a rare, Hoenn-based species. In the wild, they use tree bark to protect their faces, and -- being Grass-type Pokemon -- they can manipulate said bark into a useful shape. Imagine like, the Koroks from Breath of the Wild, only instead of leaves they use tree bark! This is also why the Ogerpon of Oni Mountain can carry her Teal Mask (and others) around -- she makes it smaller to carry under her cloak.
What if Ogerpons were like Deerlings and had different seasonal appearances? The Ogerpon of Oni Mountain would almost certainly be a summer variant.
Does this mean the Ogerpon of Oni Mountain is special? Sure it does. The masks made for her with shards of Tera crystals are wooden, allowing her to manipulate them just like her wild counterparts would their bark masks, but we already know that Tera crystals have some wild effects on just about anything they come into contact with. So, in theory the Ogerpon of the Teal Mask/Indigo Disk is the strongest of her kind, based entirely on her extra weapons in the form of the special masks.
Ivy Cudgel, though, is a move they all share. Don't go cutting any trees in their home forest down or you'll get to see the power of their Big Bonkin' Sticks firsthand.
Their home forest is probably limited to a small, difficult to access part of Hoenn, likely in the neighborhood of Ever Grande. Basically the Poke-equivalent of Okinawa.
One could probably make more masks like the four Oggy has and give Ogerpons even MORE type options. I would bet the craftsmanship of the masks has to be absolutely stellar though, and of course getting Tera crystals to work with might be tricky for the average person.
LOOK HOW CUTE SHE IS. L O O K

My Forest Spirit
A legend of Zelda BOTW/TOTK Yandere x Reader. This is obviously cannon divergent. Fem!Y/N is short and Curvy in this, and is often described with long hair. This story will contain NSFW! scenes, violence and profanity. MDNI

Chapter 3: Will you be my betrothed?
I woke as I was shaken awake. Groggily, I opened my eyes to look up at the man beside me. Link grinned at me and ran a hand through my hair. My ear twitched as one of his fingers grazed the back of my ear, his hand retreating to his side quickly.
"Morning Y/N, did you sleep well?" Link asked, running his hand through my hair.
I smile up at him and nod. His grin only grew once our eyes met and he hunkered next to me, practically encasing me with his large frame. The blue tunic bunched in my hands as I toyed with his sleeves. A shadow loomed over us and Link grunted, glaring up at whoever was there.
"We need to leave knight. The princess wants to get to the castle as soon as possible." Revali sighed, putting his bow on his back and packing up his tent.
I look around, realising we had been asleep on the ground. Dirt fell from my skirt as I stood and pried myself away from Link's grasp. All the others were busy packing their things to get back on the road and I looked down at the pouting Hylian I had just been sitting with. He was clearly upset by something yet I had no idea what it could have been. His eyes met mine and softened immediately before standing up.
"Y/N, you can walk ahead with me. I'll keep you safe from all the monsters!" He confidently declared, wrapping an arm around my waist.
I thanked him but was yanked away by Zelda. Her soft hand wrapped around my wrist as she pulled me to her side, smiling at me. Blonde hair hung, framing her face as she intertwined our fingers. The birds seemed to sing as our eyes met and the world stopped spinning. She rubbed a hand over my back, her hand sliding down to rest on my behind. A faint flush rested over my face as her hands' grip just became firmer and ushered me along with her.
"Ignore my knight, you can walk with me! My father will love you Y/N, he might even allow you to stay as a close servant or maid! Or, maybe a concubine… until I can be crowned and married," She muttered.
I raised a brow at her, unsure of what half of those words meant. Compared to the Koroks, these people know much fancier words than they ever taught me. Their clothes looked nicer, accents strange and varied. It was truly extravagant in my eyes!
"Concubine? What does that mean?" I ask, cocking my head to the side.
Urbosa raised a brow and walked beside us, Zelda's posture stiffening as she approached.
"Why do you want to know about something like that little cactus?" "Oh, well Zelda said something about asking her father for me to be her… concubine I think it was." "Ah well, I'm sure the princess was just joking! Don't worry about all that," Urbosa sighed, shooting Zelda a strange look.
The rest of the long walk was quiet and awkward. I was more than used to silence, but this one was heavy and dense. Suffocating silently, we approached the Castle as guards began escorting us all in. Zelda held me close to her as we entered through the loud entryway. A white-haired man turned to meet Zelda's gaze and he smiled softly at us.
"Zelda, you've returned. Has the Master Sword been retrieved?" He asks, striding confidently towards us.
Zelda smiled back and held her hand over her chest, nodding. "Yes, Father! Link managed to pull the legendary sword from the ground. But, we have far more important matters to speak about. Privately," She stated.
The man nodded and walked away with Zelda by his side. The moment the princess had left, Link went leapt forwards but was intercepted by Urbosa. The tall, honeyed skin woman grinned down at me and offered her hand. Gently I grabbed her fingers, my hand too small to fully hold hers. My sleeve slid down my forearm to my elbow as she leaned down and pressed her lips to the back of my hand. The emerald eyes met my own as a singly crimson strand slid over her forehead and danced over my wrist before she stood up. Blue lipstick had smudged onto my hand and I used my thumb to try and rub it away.
"Hello dear, come with me to my private chambers. Your beautiful little body deserves a nice bath and some nice clothes. You there," She waves over a knight and looks down at him while pulling me to her chest. "Please bring some Hylian clothes to my chambers as soon as possible."
The knight nodded before running off. Urbosa smiled and took my hand, striding with purpose through the halls. Her warm hands held me close to her, my forehead bumping against her chest with each step. With a smile, she pushed open a large double door that led into a grand room, something I had never believed could ever exist. The cold marble beneath my feet shot shivers up my spine. Chuckling at my reaction, she led me to a large cushioned circle. I raised a brow as I looked around the room, never having seen anything like it anymore. A warm laugh rang out as Urbosa looked down at me.
"You have never left that forest have you?" "Huh? Oh no, I haven't. The Koroks and the spirits that visit the forest raised me. I did sometimes venture out of the forest to visit the nearby fairy fountain!" I smile at her and ran a hand through my hair.
She smiled at me and rubbed my back before parting a curtain to an adjacent room. I raised a brow but she ushered me to follow her. A deep tub was front and centre in the room, a large window looking out onto the surrounding fields of the Castle. She used a strange object at her hip to activate a device near the tub. Water began rising and she grabbed my shoulders.
"Why don't you get out of those clothes and into the bath? You can tell me about all the spirits you've met while I wash your hair." "Okay, that sounds nice!"
